Episode 10 - James 1:5

Hello and welcome back to the two minute grace podcast.

今天我们读的经文是《雅各书》第一章第五节。

Our verse today is from James chapter one verse five.

经文说：你们中间若有缺少智慧的，应当向神求，祂慷慨地赐给众人，也不责备人，就必得着。

It says, if any of you lacks wisdom, let him ask of God who gives to all liberally and without reproach and it will be given to him.

你知道，雅各在写这节经文之前，刚谈了三节关于试炼和苦难的内容，他写给那些正经历这些困境的基督徒弟兄，却说他们竟然可以在这些时刻中欢喜。

You know this verse in James follows up three verses about trials and sufferings that James had written to his Christian brethren who were going through these things and he made a very odd statement that they could actually rejoice in these times of trials.

他说，能在试炼中欢喜，是因为这些试炼最终会造就他们信心的成熟。

And he says that rejoicing in trials is possible because ultimately these trials will lead to the perfecting of their faith.

但问题是，他们究竟怎样才能获得这种信心的完全呢？这种完全要在基督再来、他们得荣耀时才完全显明。

But how could they in fact attain this perfect faith that would one day be brought about at the time of their glorification when Christ returns?

雅各说，他们可以通过运用属神的智慧来做到这一点。

Well, he says they can do that through using godly wisdom.

而这种应对试炼所需的属神智慧，并不是我们今天的基督徒遥不可及的东西。

And this godly wisdom that they would need to navigate these trials, it's not something that is unattainable for us as Christians today.

相反，这是神乐意赐给我们的。

Rather, it is something that God desires to give us.

经上说，如果我们凭着信心求神——这一章后面还会详细讲到，这求应当是出于信心。

It says if we ask God in faith, as the rest of this chapter will go on to elaborate about about how that asking should be in faith.

经上还说，神乐意慷慨地赐给我们，毫不责备。

But it says God desires to give it to us liberally without reproach.

神希望我们拥有这智慧，好让我们能顺利度过生命中的各种试炼。

God desires for us to have this wisdom so that we can successfully navigate the trials in our lives.

神让我们获得智慧的另一种方式，就是通过祂的话语。

And one of the other ways that God allows us to gain wisdom is through his word.
