You know, you'll see that it because new movies tend to be a little exaggerated and more shameless, I guess.

Well but what's interesting is that I think it kind of morphed into more just a similar idea to don't quit your day job.

I've actually never heard it to be referred to in that context before, like giving opinions, but it makes total sense to me.
