Speaker 1

嗨,Michelle。

Hey there, Michelle.

Speaker 1

今天过得怎么样?

How's it going today?

Speaker 0

我很好,林赛。

I'm good, Lindsey.

Speaker 0

你怎么样?

How are you?

Speaker 1

我感觉不错。

I'm feeling good.

Speaker 1

我感觉不错。

I'm feeling good.

Speaker 1

最近有点累,不过今天我们聊点什么?

A little tired these days, but what are we getting into today?

Speaker 0

林赛,当你准备宣布一个好消息的时候,你是什么感觉?

Well, so Lindsey, how do you feel when you are about to make a big announcement, like a good one?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我感到很兴奋。

I feel excited.

Speaker 1

我觉得有个秘密要跟大家分享。

I feel like I have a secret to share.

Speaker 1

我知道大家一定会很兴奋。

And I know people are gonna be excited.

Speaker 1

我既兴奋又有点紧张。

I feel excited and a little nervous at the same time.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

挺有意思的是,就算是好消息,

It is funny how even though it's like a good, like, good news

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

还是会感到紧张。

You can still feel nervous.

Speaker 0

我也不知道为什么,但我确实也有同感。

I don't know why that is, but I definitely get that feeling too.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

真是挺有意思的。

It's so funny.

Speaker 1

所以在这期节目里,我们要教听众们,怎么向大家宣布一些重大的消息。

So in today's episode, we're gonna tell our listeners, show our listeners how to talk about how we can announce something big.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

生活中

There are

Speaker 1

总会发生一些大事。

big things that happen in our lives.

Speaker 1

遇到这种事,我们肯定既兴奋又紧张,但关键是我们得找到合适的词来表达这种感受。

And when they do, we need we obviously have the enthusiasm and the nervousness, but we need the words to talk about it.

Speaker 1

对吧,米歇尔?

Right, Michelle?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

就是这样。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

好了,那我们开始吧。

So, alright.

Speaker 0

这正是我们今天要聊的内容。

Well, that's what we're getting into today.

Speaker 0

那咱们这就开始。

So let's get started.

Speaker 0

第一个说法是,你可以说‘我有个消息’,或者说‘我有个大消息’。

The first one is, you could say, I have news or you could say, I have big news.

Speaker 0

哪个说法都行。

Either one is fine.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

比如说,我有个大消息。

So for example, I have big news.

Speaker 1

我收到了奥斯汀的一份工作邀请。

I got a job offer in Austin.

Speaker 1

咱们以后就是邻居了。

We're gonna be neighbors.

Speaker 1

真不错。

Nice.

Speaker 1

所以,搬家就是那种你会跟别人分享的重要时刻。

So you so relocating is one of these big moments that you share.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

你需要掌握这些词汇。

You need this vocabulary for.

Speaker 0

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yes.

Speaker 0

正是如此。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

再举一个例子。

Or here's another one.

Speaker 0

我有件事要告诉你。

I have something to tell you.

Speaker 0

嗯,是这样。

Uh-huh.

Speaker 0

但你也可以加上一个形容词。

But you could also put in an adjective.

Speaker 0

我有个让人兴奋的消息要告诉你。

I have something exciting to tell you.

Speaker 0

有趣、疯狂、重要,什么都行。

Fun, crazy, important, whatever it is.

Speaker 1

对,没错。

Yes, exactly.

Speaker 1

你可以说:我有个疯狂的消息要告诉你。

So you could say, I have something crazy to tell you.

Speaker 1

我要回学校了。

I'm going back to school.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

有时候,成年人离开职场后,会决定再回去读书,比如读个MBA之类的,对吧?

So sometimes adults, after we're out in the working world, we decide we want to go back for maybe an MBA or something, Right?

Speaker 1

或者读个博士。

Or a PhD.

Speaker 1

所以这就属于那种情况。

So that would be that kind of scenario.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

我能理解,在这种情况下,你可能会感到紧张。

And I see I can see how in, like, in this scenario, you might be that those nerves might come up.

Speaker 0

我觉得这是因为,尤其是当你觉得别人可能没想到,或者有点出人意料的时候。

I think it's because I think it's especially if, like, it's something that you think somebody might not expect or a little different or whatever.

Speaker 0

不管怎样,我觉得任何重大的生活变化,当你告诉别人的时候

In in any case, I think just any big life change that you're sharing

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

都会让你有点紧张,就是因为

Is going to make you feel a little nervous just because

Speaker 1

因为我们不知道

Because we don't know

Speaker 0

对方会怎么反应。

how that person's gonna react.

Speaker 0

对,就是这样。

And yeah, exactly.

Speaker 0

我们毕竟是人。

We're humans.

Speaker 1

正因为是人,才会在意别人怎么想。

Because we're humans, and we do think about how other people react.

Speaker 1

当然会啊。

Of course, we do.

Speaker 1

当然会啊。

Of course, we do.

Speaker 1

谁要是说不会,那都是骗人的。

Anyone who says they don't is lying.

Speaker 1

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对吧

Right?

Speaker 1

没错

Right.

Speaker 0

对

Yeah.

Speaker 0

如果你们到现在为止喜欢这期节目,别忘了点关注,这样就不会错过All Ears English的任何内容了。

Well, if you guys are reacting well to this episode so far, I wanna make sure that you hit the follow button so you never miss anything from All Ears English.

Speaker 0

记得点关注。

So hit that follow button.

Speaker 0

我们每周更新五天,没错。

We are here five days a week Yes.

Speaker 0

这真的很棒。

Which is amazing.

Speaker 0

那我们直接进入听众的提问吧。

And let us jump right into your queue.

Speaker 1

好的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

我喜欢这个。

I love that.

Speaker 1

我们继续吧,Michelle,再给听众们推荐几个选项。下一个不错,因为它已经存在很久了。

And let's keep rolling, Michelle, here with a few more options for our listeners for what to The next one is good because it's it's like it's been around for a long time.

Speaker 1

我觉得我们的听众可能在电视上听过。

I feel like our listeners might hear it on TV.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

比如情景喜剧之类的。

Sitcoms or something.

Speaker 1

这是什么?

What is it?

Speaker 0

你坐好了吗?

It's are you sitting down?

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

你可能以前听过我们提过这个,但真的特别搞笑,这个节目。

You may have heard us mention this before, but it's just like it's it's so funny, this one.

Speaker 1

我觉得特别好笑。

I think is really funny.

Speaker 0

我们这会儿在说什么?

What are we saying here?

Speaker 0

我们为什么要这么说?

Why do why are we saying this?

Speaker 0

当然了,前提是你们没和那个人在一起。

This is of course, and this is only if you're not with the person.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我不会问你坐着吗?

I'm not gonna say, are you sitting down?

Speaker 0

当我坐在那个人旁边的时候。

When I'm sitting down next to the person.

Speaker 0

如果他们没坐着,我可能会说,好吧。

Might say to them, if they're not sitting down, I might say, okay.

Speaker 0

你该坐下来。

You should sit down.

Speaker 1

你该

You should

Speaker 0

坐下来。

sit down.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

不过我们为什么这么说呢?

Why do we say this though?

Speaker 1

我一直以来都以为,听到这句话是因为怕人晕倒。

I think I've always assumed when I've heard this that it's to make sure people don't pass out.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我也是这么想的。

That's what I was thinking.

Speaker 0

但其实现在我们说这话,并不是这个意思。

But but it's not really how we mean it now.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我们嘴上这么说,但没人真觉得他会晕过去,对吧?

It's like it's it's it's what we're saying, but I don't think anybody's thinking he's gonna pass They're

Speaker 1

真会晕倒啊?我的意思是,希望不会吧。

really gonna pass I mean, hopefully not.

Speaker 1

没错。

So Right.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

那得是特别极端的情况才行。

It would have to be something really dramatic.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Right.

Speaker 1

我来举个例子。

We so here's an example.

Speaker 1

你坐好了吗?

Are you sitting down?

Speaker 1

哦,米歇尔,你坐好了吗?

Oh, you sitting down, Michelle?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes?

Speaker 0

我看出来了。

I can see

Speaker 1

你确实坐好了。

that you are.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

我要卖房子了。

So I'm selling my house.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

不错。

Nice.

Speaker 1

不错。

Nice.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这又是一件大事。

That's another big one.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

所以说,是的。

So Yeah.

Speaker 1

到目前为止,我们聊了回学校、换工作、搬家和卖房子。

So far we've talked about going back to school, getting a new job and relocating, selling your home.

Speaker 1

还有哪些呢?

What would be another?

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

当然,任何跟感情状态有关的事都算。

Well, certainly anything to do with relationship status.

Speaker 0

对啊。

So Mhmm.

Speaker 0

你可以说,有个大消息。

You could say, so big update.

Speaker 0

是的。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

那别人可能会怎么说?

And then what might someone say?

Speaker 1

你可以说,有个大消息,我弟弟订婚了。

You could say, so big update, my brother got engaged.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

我订婚了,或者说是yes。

I got engaged or Yes.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

或者有人想分享自己求婚的消息。

Or oh, for somebody to share that they're proposing.

Speaker 0

求婚这件事,是个大新闻。

So big update on proposing to.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

没错。

Yes.

Speaker 0

这确实也是件大事。

That's a big one too.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,林赛,为什么这些对建立联系这么重要?

I mean, Lindsay, why are these so important for connection?

Speaker 0

为什么不直接说你想说的,把这些都省掉呢?

Why not just say what you have to say and leave these out?

Speaker 1

你知道,你真的得好好铺垫一下。

You know, you really have to stage it.

Speaker 1

你得为自己创造一个合适的氛围,因为这些都是重要时刻,说不定对方根本没在听。

You have to create a bit of a platform for yourself because these are big moments, and it could be that someone is not listening.

Speaker 1

所以这能让人做好准备,专心听你说。

So it prepares someone to listen fully.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

我们总是忙个不停。

We're so busy.

Speaker 1

脑子里有太多事情在转。

There's so much going on in our minds.

Speaker 1

很多时候,我们都陷在自己的思绪里。

We're kind of in our own heads a lot of the time.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

所以你得确保他们不会错过这些重要的时刻。

So you wanna make sure they don't miss it.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

因为我完全能理解这种情况。

Because I could totally see that.

Speaker 0

就是,你知道的,你正想着别的事,突然反应过来:等等,刚才说什么?

Just, you know, you're just kind of, oh, and then you're probably going, wait, what?

Speaker 0

你刚才说啥了?

What did you say?

Speaker 1

对啊。

Right.

Speaker 1

就像米歇尔,我跟你说我怀孕了,你可能根本没在听,我们说完就过去了,你根本没注意到,对吧?

Like Michelle, I could tell you I'm pregnant and you might maybe won't be listening and we could move on and you would Right?

Speaker 1

完全错过了。

Completely miss

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

然后我突然想到,等等。

And then I was like, wait.

Speaker 0

等得真久啊。

What a wait.

Speaker 0

什么?

What?

Speaker 0

林赛?

Lindsay?

Speaker 0

什么?

What?

Speaker 0

你有什么重大消息要宣布吗?

Do you have any big announcements?

Speaker 1

我确实有个消息,米歇尔。

I actually do, Michelle.

Speaker 1

我有个非常重要的消息要告诉Dollars English的各位听众。

I have a huge, huge announcement for our audience here at Dollars English.

Speaker 1

所以再说一遍

So again

Speaker 0

我们要不要来个鼓掌开场?

Should we do a drum roll?

Speaker 1

确实该来个鼓掌开场。

We should do a drum roll.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,好吧。

I mean Okay.

Speaker 0

那又是另一回事了。

That's another.

Speaker 1

那就来吧。

Let's do it.

Speaker 1

好。

Okay.

Speaker 1

你可是专业的鼓掌开场了。

You're a famous drum roll.

Speaker 1

所以,米歇尔,我有件事要告诉你,那就是我要当妈妈了。

So, Michelle, I do have something to tell you, and that is that I am having a baby.

Speaker 1

我怀孕了。

I'm pregnant.

Speaker 1

这简直太让人震惊了。

Isn't that crazy?

Speaker 1

天哪。

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 0

太棒了,真是惊喜。

Crazy good.

Speaker 0

天哪。

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 0

恭喜你,谢谢你分享。

Congratulations, Thank you.

Speaker 0

各位,我想问问,你们有没有过这样的时刻——正喝着咖啡,听着节目,然后突然愣住。

This is guys, I I wonder if our listeners had this moment where they're maybe drinking their coffee, listening, and then wait.

Speaker 0

什么?

What?

Speaker 1

别把咖啡洒了。

Don't spill your coffee.

Speaker 1

别把咖啡洒了。

Don't spill your coffee.

Speaker 1

真的。

It's true.

Speaker 1

真的。

It's true.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这真是太意外了。

So this is crazy.

Speaker 1

其实我几个月前就生了。

So I'm actually giving birth a few months back.

Speaker 1

等这期节目播出的时候,我已经生完孩子了。

I will have already given birth by the time this episode comes out.

Speaker 1

我们在这里的Allers English频道,一向喜欢玩时间差。

We like to play with time around here at Allers English, guys.

Speaker 1

但这是真的。

But it is true.

Speaker 1

等你听到这期节目时,我应该已经当妈妈好几个月了。

I will I should be a new mom by a few months by the time you hear this episode.

Speaker 1

真让人难以置信。

It's wild.

Speaker 1

真让人难以置信。

It's wild.

Speaker 0

我知道。

I know.

Speaker 0

Lindsay,我们真的特别为你高兴。

We're we are so excited for you, Lindsay.

Speaker 0

我能想象,现在听节目的听众们脸上一定都挂着笑容,因为他们非常关心你。

I can only imagine the smiles on our listeners' faces who are listening now because they care so much about you.

Speaker 0

哦。

Oh,

Speaker 1

谢谢你,米歇尔。

thank you, Michelle.

Speaker 0

我相信所有听众都和我们一样,特别为你感到兴奋。

And I'm sure everybody is just so so excited as are we all here at All Ears English.

Speaker 0

我们只希望你身体健康,一切顺利。

So we're just wishing you good health and a healthy you.

Speaker 0

宝宝健康,一切顺利。

Baby and success.

Speaker 0

你一定会是个好妈妈。

You're gonna be such a good mom.

Speaker 0

大家说,琳赛会不会是个很棒的妈妈?

Guys, don't you think Lindsay's gonna be a great mom?

Speaker 1

希望大家都点头说‘是’。

Hopefully, they're all saying yes.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

我觉得大家都会同意的。

And I think they're all saying yes.

Speaker 1

我终于能加入你们了,我觉得我们大部分听众都是这样:当你们报名我们的课程时,能让我们了解你们的生活是怎样的。

I love that I finally get to join, I think the majority of our listeners because when you all join our courses, you're able to let us know what are your lives like?

Speaker 1

你们的日程安排是怎样的?

What is your schedule like?

Speaker 1

很多听众都是这样。

So many of you Yeah.

Speaker 1

确实有家庭和孩子。

Do have families and kids.

Speaker 1

现在我能更理解我们的听众了,尤其是那些生活忙碌的家长,我真的很期待这一点。

And so now I'll be able to understand our listeners a bit better, right, with a busy family life, which I'm looking forward to so much.

Speaker 1

真是忙得不可开交。

Crazy stuff.

Speaker 1

真是够折腾的。

Crazy stuff.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这一定会是最棒的。

It's gonna be the best.

Speaker 0

我真的很为你高兴。

I'm I'm so excited for you.

Speaker 0

而且没错。

And I and yeah.

Speaker 0

我们衷心祝愿你开启全新的All Ears English旅程。

We're just wishing you all the best in a another All Ears English baby.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

又一个新成员加入All Ears English大家庭。

Another baby, the member of the All Ears English family.

Speaker 1

我们先休息一下,然后回来再详细说。

So we're gonna take a quick break, and then we'll come back and give more details.

Speaker 1

好吧?

Alright?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

很好。

Good.

Speaker 1

好的,米歇尔。

Alright, Michelle.

Speaker 1

我们休息完了,现在回来继续。

We are back from break.

Speaker 1

如果你们错过了这一集的前半部分,记得回去听听。

So if you missed the first part of the episode, guys, make sure you go back there.

Speaker 1

那一部分有个非常重要的揭晓。

There's a very important reveal there in that part of the episode.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

非常重要。

Very important.

Speaker 1

不过,Michelle,我们想再给听众提供几个更具体的表达,关于什么?

Now, Michelle, though, we wanna give our listeners a few more more focused phrases on what?

Speaker 1

我们来聚焦在一件事上。

Let's focus in on one thing specific.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

嗯,有可能是这样。

Well, it's possible that yeah.

Speaker 0

我们之前提到过,知道很多听众都是父母,你们很可能在自己或配偶即将生育时,已经跟别人分享过这些信息。

We said that our listeners, we know that a lot of you are parents, so you probably have shared this information with people before when you were going to have your baby or your spouse was gonna have a baby or Yes.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以,如果你告诉别人一件事,他们就能明白,那会是什么事呢?

So what what is one thing if you tell somebody that they know

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

那就是你怀孕了。

That it means that you're having a baby.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我想知道,这句话在其他语言里有没有对应的表达,还是说这只是英语特有的说法?

I wonder if this phrase translates over into other languages or if it's just I mean, don't translate directly into your language, guys.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

在英语里,我们说 'I'm expecting',就是这个说法。

From your language into English, but the phrase is I'm expecting.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

你期待什么呢,米歇尔?

Expecting what, Michelle?

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

我知道。

I know.

Speaker 0

我就知道是这样。

That's what I know.

Speaker 0

这说法真有意思。

It's such a funny one.

Speaker 0

哦,我期待什么?你期待什么?

Oh, I'm ex I'm you're expecting to what?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但当你听到‘我期待’这句话,如果只是这么一说,别人就停在那里,那你就该明白他的意思。

But when you hear I'm expecting, if you say it just like that and somebody leaves it there Yes.

Speaker 0

除非对方真的说完‘我期待’就睡着了,然后醒来再补全句子,否则你就该知道他话没说完。

Unless they're actually like, I'm expecting and they fall asleep and then they wake up and tell you the rest of the sentence, you should know that that's what they mean.

Speaker 0

你觉得呢,琳达?

Don't you think, Lindsay?

Speaker 1

百分百对。

A 100%.

Speaker 1

我们之前做过一期关于及物动词和不及物动词的节目,讲的是哪些动词后面必须跟东西。

We did an episode with Aubrey on transitive and intransitive verbs, which verbs have something that has to come after them.

Speaker 1

通常来说,‘我期待’这个动词后面必须接内容。

And normally, this verb I'm expecting has to have something after it.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

如果不加宾语,这种情况就非常特殊。

And when it doesn't, it's a very unique scenario.

Speaker 1

意思是你要当妈妈了。

It means you're expecting a child.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你其实也可以说,顺便提一下,我怀孕了。

And you could say actually, by the way, I'm expecting a baby.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

但只说‘我怀孕了’也是完全正常且被广泛接受的。

But it is also very accepted and normal to just say, I'm expecting.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

而且就算你说‘我怀孕了’,我觉得因为大家听惯了‘我正在期待’,听起来就好像——你还能期待别的什么吗?

And even if you say, I'm expecting a baby, I feel like it's it's like because people are so used to hearing I'm expecting, it sounds almost it's like, well, what else would you be expecting?

Speaker 0

一头恐龙?

A dinosaur?

Speaker 0

你懂我的意思吧?

Like, you know what I mean?

Speaker 0

这就像是,

It just it's like,

Speaker 1

希望别是那样。

hopefully not.

Speaker 1

我们当然不希望那样。

We hope for we don't

Speaker 0

但你可能会听到这样的话。

But so you might you here.

Speaker 0

琳赛,你为什么不举个例子呢?

Why don't Lindsay, why don't you give the example?

Speaker 1

好啊。

Alright.

Speaker 1

来吧。

Here we go.

Speaker 1

猜猜怎么着?

Guess what?

Speaker 1

我最近老说特别累。

You know, I've been saying I'm super tired lately.

Speaker 1

结果呢,我怀孕了。

Well, it turns out I'm expecting.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

有趣的是,我觉得在这档节目里,我其实一直偷偷暗示过好几次了。

And and the funny thing is, I think on this show, I think I've been dropping very, very, very subtle hints.

Speaker 1

也许我们一些特别资深的听众已经察觉到了。

Maybe some of our super high level listeners have have picked up on it.

Speaker 1

我提过,最近我不喝酒了。

I mentioned I'm not drinking these days.

Speaker 1

过去三个月的录音里,有些细微的线索,但你要英语特别好,才能注意到所有细节并把它们串起来。

Little little things in the last three months of recording, but you'd have to really be super high in fluency to pick up on everything and connect the dots.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

没错。

Yep.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yep.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yep.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

所以你也可以这么说:我怀孕了。

So you could also say, I'm pregnant.

Speaker 0

或者如果你没怀孕,你可以说:我伴侣怀孕了。

Or if you're not pregnant, you could say, my partner is pregnant.

Speaker 0

我丈夫怀孕了。

My husband is pregnant.

Speaker 0

不是我右。

Not my Right.

Speaker 0

但可能是我妻子。

But probably my wife.

Speaker 1

那会是个挺有意思的场景。

That would be an interesting scenario.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我妻子怀孕了。

My wife is pregnant.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我伴侣怀孕了。

My partner is pregnant.

Speaker 0

随便谁吧。

Whoever.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以直接说之前的事,或者直接说他们的名字。

So before or or just say their name.

Speaker 0

所以呢,有个大消息。

So for example, so big update.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我们用的是之前聊过的方法。

And we're using what we've talked before.

Speaker 0

对的。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

谢丽尔怀孕了。

Sheila is pregnant.

Speaker 0

怀孕了。

Pregnant.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

或者你直接说,我要当爸爸了。

Or you could just say, I'm having a baby.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

米歇尔,你坐好了吗?

So Michelle, are you sitting down?

Speaker 1

坐好了。

Yes.

Speaker 1

那就好。

So, good.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

我怀孕了。

So I'm having a baby.

Speaker 1

这确实是个好问题。

And so that's a good question.

Speaker 1

所以当我们说‘你坐好了吗?’的时候

So when we say, are you sitting down?

Speaker 1

通常是不是该等对方回应一下?

Should we wait for a response most of the time, would you say?

Speaker 1

我觉得是的。

I think so.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我觉得是的。

I think so.

Speaker 0

我觉得是的。

I think so.

Speaker 1

我觉得是的。

I think so.

Speaker 1

我们还能怎么说呢?

What else could we say?

Speaker 0

你可以说‘我要当妈妈了’或者‘我要当爸爸了’。

You could say, I'm gonna be a mom or I'm gonna be a dad.

Speaker 0

如果这不是你第一个孩子,你也可以再说一遍。

So and if it's not your first child, you could say again.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我要再当一次妈妈了。

I'm gonna be a mom again.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 1

你可以说‘我有个消息要告诉你’。

You could say, I have news.

Speaker 1

我要当妈妈了。

I'm gonna be a mom.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

这些说法都是专门针对要生孩子这个情况的。

So these are all really specific ways just for the scenario where you're having a child.

Speaker 1

但关键是,当你准备公布重大消息时,得给自己搭个台子。

But the point is when you're about to deliver big news, make sure you give yourself a bit of a stage.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

所以各位,其实我们还能在这上面做更多,这个话题也有太多可以挖掘的地方。

So guys, I mean, there's just so much more we could do with this and so much more we can do with this topic.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我肯定琳赛回来后会聊很多,尤其是关于育儿那部分。

And I'm sure Lindsay will be talking tons, especially when you get back about Yeah.

Speaker 0

带娃的生活。

Life with a baby.

Speaker 0

这里面有很多经验值得分享,我相信我们的听众都会很有共鸣。

And there there's just a lot to teach that I'm sure our listeners can relate to.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以一定要点关注。

So definitely hit follow.

Speaker 0

我们要不要来个小角色扮演?

Should we do a little role play?

Speaker 1

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 1

来吧,米歇尔。

Let's do it, Michelle.

Speaker 1

我们开始吧。

Here we go.

Speaker 1

我现在告诉你。

So here I am telling you.

Speaker 1

我跟你说,我怀孕了。

So I am telling you that I'm pregnant.

Speaker 1

我们开始吧。

So here we go.

Speaker 1

来吧。

Let's do it.

Speaker 1

好。

Alright.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

琳赛,你最近怎么样?

So how's it going, Lindsey?

Speaker 1

挺好的,米歇尔。

Good, Michelle.

Speaker 1

我有件事要告诉你。

So I have something to tell you.

Speaker 1

什么事?

What is it?

Speaker 1

我怀孕了。

I'm expecting.

Speaker 0

天哪。

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 0

太好了。

Yay.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

而且观察大家对这件事的反应,整个文化氛围特别有意思。

And it's been really fun just observing culture in general with people's responses.

Speaker 1

大家都特别激动。

People get so excited.

Speaker 1

甚至比我还要激动。

Almost more excited than I am.

Speaker 1

你懂的。

You know?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

大家真的特别兴奋,各种反应和激动程度都特别有意思。

People get so excited, and it's really funny just the variety of responses and the level of excitement.

Speaker 1

我觉得这可能是我们人生中最重要的时刻之一。

I think this is one of the the biggest moments in our lives.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

如果我们决定要孩子的话,不是每个人都这么做,这完全没问题。

If we do decide to have a child, not everyone does, which is totally valid.

Speaker 1

但如果我们真的要,那绝对是个大事。

But if we do, it's a huge moment.

Speaker 1

别人都明白这一点。

And other people know that.

Speaker 1

所以他们会做出相应的反应。

So they reflect that back.

Speaker 1

这让他们想起了自己的经历。

It reminds them of their experience.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就是这样。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

说来也有趣,我记得当初告诉别人我怀孕的时候,

And and and it is funny because, yeah, I remember, you know, telling people I was pregnant.

Speaker 0

那种紧张感又回来了,

And I was going back to that feeling of, like, a little bit of nervousness.

Speaker 0

但我也不明白,你当时干嘛要紧张着不敢告诉别人呢?

And again, I don't know why were you nervous to tell anyone?

Speaker 1

我当时有点担心,怕有些人听了会说:‘真的吗?’

I was sort of a little bit like people that I I thought might be like, really?

Speaker 1

我挺惊讶的。

I'm surprised.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

我还以为你特别爱旅行呢,之类的。

I thought you were a big traveler or all this stuff.

Speaker 1

那些人我有点犹豫,因为在我心里,他们可能会觉得,这跟我的人生轨迹不太搭。

Those people I was maybe a little bit hesitant because maybe in their in my mind, in their minds, it wouldn't match, like, what my life path would look like.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

嗯,是这样。

Uh-huh.

Speaker 1

也许是因为

Maybe there was a

Speaker 0

担心你以后还怎么旅行。

little bit of trouble being You'll still be able to travel.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我嫂子送了我一本那种大型旅行图册,讲的是根据天气来安排全球旅行地点的。

Our sister my my sister-in-law gave me a you know how that you get those big coffee table books about where to go in the world when?

Speaker 1

就是那种根据气候条件推荐去哪儿玩的书。

Like, where to go when based on the weather and everything.

Speaker 1

她送我们的这本,是按孩子的年龄来推荐旅行地的。

She gave us one based on, like, where to go based on your kid's age.

Speaker 1

比如零到五岁,五到十二岁这样的阶段。

So it's like zero to five, five to 12.

Speaker 1

哦。

Oh.

Speaker 1

里面还提到了一些很吸引人的地方,比如土耳其,我真的特别想去土耳其。

And there's some interesting places like Turkey and I mean, I I I'm dying to go to Turkey.

Speaker 1

你知道的。

You know?

Speaker 1

所以其实我们还有很多地方可以去。

And, you know, so there are places we could still go.

Speaker 1

我打算去日本。

So I am gonna go to Japan.

Speaker 1

其实这本书里到处都是关于日本的推荐。

Japan is all over that book, actually.

Speaker 0

我肯定知道。

I'm sure Yep.

Speaker 0

对。

It Mhmm.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yep.

Speaker 0

这不错。

That's good.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以啊,你刚才说,我有件事要告诉你。

So yeah, so you said, so I have something to tell you.

Speaker 0

然后我问,什么事?

And then I said, what is it?

Speaker 0

你说。

And you said

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 1

我说,我怀孕了。

And I said, I'm expecting.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yep.

Speaker 1

而且,那个词挺有意思的,你不说下去,对方就会继续听,等着你往下说。

I'm and again, that is that interesting verb that when you don't say anything after, you know, you you keep listening and see what what else you hear.

Speaker 1

如果你听不到下文,那就说明他们怀孕了。

If you don't hear anything, it means they're pregnant.

Speaker 0

天哪。

Oh gosh.

Speaker 0

你能想象吗?有人刚说‘我怀孕了’,结果突然咳嗽了一下,话就停了,你就会以为他们说的是‘我怀孕了’。

Could you imagine just somebody, like, kinda their throat gets, like, you know, they say, I'm expecting, but then they, like, have to cough, so they stop and they you think that you're saying you're pregnant.

Speaker 0

对吧。

Right.

Speaker 0

不是这样的。

You're like, no.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

我是想说,我正等着搬家进展的更新呢。

I meant to, like, I'm expecting to have an update on my moving status Right.

Speaker 0

下星期。

Next week.

Speaker 1

那可太搞笑了。

That would be that would be hilarious.

Speaker 1

天哪。

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

我倒是好奇,这个动词在西班牙语里有没有人这么用,我还没听过,挺想知道的。

I I do wonder if this verb is I don't I I haven't heard it in Spanish if it's used, but I'm curious.

Speaker 1

也许我们的听众可以在YouTube上告诉我们,在你们的母语里,是不是也这么用这个动词?

Maybe our listeners could let us know over on YouTube if in your native language, do you actually use this verb in the same way?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但是,林赛,说实话,我有点担心。

But, Lindsay, I I mean, I'm a little worried.

Speaker 0

All Ears English 会有变化吗?

Is anything gonna change at All Ears English?

Speaker 1

绝对不会,米歇尔。

Absolutely not, Michelle.

Speaker 1

唯一的变化是我们会多一些对话素材,可能还会多讲些有趣的故事。

Only that we'll have more material for conversation, probably more funny stories.

Speaker 1

我录节目时可能会有奶渍沾在肩膀上,你知道的,有时候宝宝吐奶,不过希望别这样。

I might show up with some milk on my shoulder, you know, spit up on my shoulder sometimes to record, hopefully not.

Speaker 1

不会的。

No.

Speaker 1

什么都不会变。

Nothing's gonna change.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,唯一的变化是,我会更能体会有家庭的听众的感受。

I mean, the only thing that's gonna change is, again, I will be able to relate to our listeners a bit more, those that have families.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

你们也会更理解我了。

And you all will relate to me more.

Speaker 1

我会分享一些你们能在自己身上看到的故事。

I'll have stories that you'll see yourself in.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

这才是最棒的地方。

And that will be the cool thing.

Speaker 1

我们会继续保持同样的节奏。

So we're going to continue on the same cadence.

Speaker 1

到了夏天,你们会更多地听到奥布里和米歇尔一起出现,每周几次,这真的很棒。

And what's going to happen, what you're going to start to hear in the summer months is you're gonna hear a little bit more of Aubrey and Michelle together a few more times a week, which is awesome.

Speaker 1

我们特别喜欢这种互动氛围。

We love that dynamic.

Speaker 1

Michelle,特别有意思。

Michelle, so fun.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

我们会玩得很开心,但也会想你。

We're gonna have fun, but we are gonna miss you.

Speaker 0

不过你还是会在这儿,我们肯定会保持联系,大家别担心。

But you were still gonna be here, and we'll be, you know, we'll definitely be in touch and guys, so don't worry.

Speaker 0

Lindsay不会走的。

Lindsay's not going anywhere.

Speaker 1

不会。

No.

Speaker 1

我还会在话筒前。

I'll be on the microphone.

Speaker 1

每周的节目里,你大概能听到我声音的一半时间。

You'll hear you'll you'll hear my voice about half the time on the show every week.

Speaker 1

所以你们别担心啊。

So don't worry about that, guys.

Speaker 1

你随时都能在《All Ears English》上听到我。

You can expect me right here on All Ears English.

Speaker 1

一切都不会变。

Nothing's gonna change.

Speaker 1

这可是我们真心热爱的项目。

This is the passion project right here.

Speaker 1

我们真的特别喜欢。

We love it.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

So good.

Speaker 1

米歇尔,有没有哪一集是我们听众现在特别值得去听的?

And Michelle, is there another episode our listeners should go check out right now?

Speaker 0

当然有。

Sure.

Speaker 0

没错。

Of course.

Speaker 0

大家去听第2622期吧。

So guys, check out episode twenty six twenty two.

Speaker 0

那一期讲的是怎么让你的故事在别人心里占个位置。

That was how to save a spot in someone's mind for your story.

Speaker 1

太棒了。

Beautiful.

Speaker 1

非常喜欢。

Love it.

Speaker 1

今天还有什么最后的建议要分享给听众吗?

And any final takeaway for our listeners today?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

琳赛,我们真的特别为你高兴,我简直等不及想听你讲所有关于宝宝的故事了,我相信大家也都特别期待。

Well, Lindsay, I mean, we're super excited for you, and I I can't wait to hear all the all the baby stories, and and and I know everybody else is really excited too.

Speaker 0

不过,朋友们,不管你们有没有要宝宝,这些表达方式都绝对可以用得上。

But, yeah, guys, definitely use these whether you're having a baby or you're not.

Speaker 0

我们给你的这些说法,都是用来分享生活中任何重大事情的,挺管用的。

We gave you just good phrases to use to share anything big going on in your life Yeah.

Speaker 1

这样一来,

That way Mhmm.

Speaker 0

吸引别人的注意。

Perk someone's ears up.

Speaker 1

分享你的重大喜讯。

Share your big news.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

说出来吧。

Share it.

Speaker 1

让别人走进你的生活。

Bring people into your world.

Speaker 1

这些对你来说都是大事,别一个人扛着。

These are big moments for you, and don't do them alone.

Speaker 1

让别人和你一起分享喜悦。

Let people celebrate them with you.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

这才是建立连接的关键。

That is the key to connection.

Speaker 1

就是这么回事。

That is it.

Speaker 1

各位,如果你还没关注我们的节目,记得点个关注。
