Today, we'll share three tips to help you think in English instead to improve vocabulary, grammar, and connections.

Speaker 0

大多数英语学习者都在解决一个错误的问题。

Most English learners are solving the wrong problem.

Speaker 0

你可能觉得自己需要背更多单词,但教了几十万英语学习者之后,我们发现,真正拖你后腿的可能根本不是词汇量。

Speaker 0

嗨,Michelle。

Hello, Michelle.

Speaker 0

你今天怎么样?

How are you today?

Speaker 2

嗨,奥布里,我很好。

Hi Aubrey, I am good.

Speaker 2

奥布里,你觉得怎么才能让大脑不再依赖母语翻译呢?

Aubrey, what do you think is the best way to teach your brain to stop translating from your first language?

Speaker 0

这个问题问得太好了,经常有学生问我们。

This is such a good question and we have students ask us this a lot.

Speaker 0

关键是要开始用英语思考。

And it's to start thinking in English.

Speaker 0

对我来说,是用西班牙语思考,或者用法语思考——你学任何语言,都得直接用那种语言思考,而不是先在脑子里用母语想一遍,再翻译成第二语言。

Or for me, in Spanish, thinking in French, any language you're learning, you need to think in that language instead of first thinking it in your first language and then translating into your second language.

Speaker 0

难点在于,该怎么做到这一点?

The trick is how do we do that?

Speaker 0

我们具体该怎么做,才能开始用英语思考?

What do we need to do in order to start thinking in English?

Speaker 0

今天我们就来深入聊聊这个话题。

And that is what we are diving into today.

Speaker 0

我很期待。

I'm excited.

Speaker 2

对。

Yes.

Speaker 2

因为有一位听众提了个特别棒的问题,看起来是来自……哎呀。

And that's because we have a wonderful listener question from it looks like it's from oops.

Speaker 2

不好意思。

Sorry.

Speaker 2

滑错了。

Scrolled

Speaker 0

我想是Shinri J eight b。

down I think it's Shinri J eight b.

Speaker 0

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

如果我们的发音有误,还请多多包涵。

We apologize if we are not pronouncing your name correctly.

Speaker 0

希望我们念对了。

Hopefully we are.

Speaker 0

米歇尔,你能帮我们读一下这个问题吗?

Do you want to read the question for us, Michelle?

Speaker 2

当然可以。

Sure.

Speaker 2

这个问题来自YouTube。

This question comes to us from YouTube.

Speaker 2

留言里写着:你好,琳赛和米歇尔。

So it says, hello Lindsay and Michelle.

Speaker 2

我特别喜欢你们的播客,不仅陪我上下课,还让我学到了很多东西。

I love your podcasts a lot and they are not they not only accompany me along the way to classes, but also really teach me many things.

Speaker 2

非常感谢。

A big thanks.

Speaker 0

谢谢,不用客气。

Thank you You so are welcome.

Speaker 0

谢谢。

Thank

Speaker 2

感谢你告诉我们。

you for letting us know.

Speaker 2

对的。

Yes.

Speaker 2

它还说,我觉得说英语很难,很难自然流畅地和别人交流。

It says, but I find it challenging to speak English and connect with other people in a natural and spontaneous way.

Speaker 2

我的意思是,每次说话前我都得准备很久。

I mean I'm always having to prepare for a long time to speak.

Speaker 2

你们能给一些建议吗?

Could you please share some suggestions?

Speaker 2

非常感谢。

Thank you so much.

Speaker 2

祝你今天愉快。

Have a nice day.

Speaker 2

非常感谢。

Thank you so much.

Speaker 2

这个问题问得真好。

This is a really great questions question.

Speaker 2

说实话,这正是很多英语学习者面临的最大难题之一,而且它

I mean, this is one of the biggest issues ESL speakers face in English and it's a

Speaker 0

是建立联系的关键部分。

huge part of connection.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

因为当你自然对话时,你不只是在说话,还在回应对方,或者在群体中表达自己、开玩笑、维持话题,建立连接。

Because when you're speaking spontaneously, you're not just talking, you are reacting to the other person or people if it's a group expressing yourself, joking, keeping the conversation alive and building that connection.

Speaker 0

这些事情要同时考虑,如果老是停下来组织语言、想该说什么,真的会特别困难。

That's a lot to think about and constantly stopping to form sentences or think about what you want to say can make all of that very difficult.

Speaker 2

是的,完全没错。

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

所以啊,Aubrey,即兴说话真的挺难的。

So I mean speaking spontaneously is really tricky Aubrey.

Speaker 2

说白了,这全看脑子里怎么想的。

I mean it's all about what's going on in your brain.

Speaker 2

比如你要是从母语逐字翻译,能多快想到该用的词。

If you're translating, for example, from your first language, how quickly you can think of the words that you need.

Speaker 2

结果就是你一边翻译,一边拖慢了自己的语速。

So what happens is you're translating and this ultimately slows you down.

Speaker 0

不仅如此,我们在播客里经常提到,这不仅拖慢语速,还会导致错误,要是你直接用英语观察和思考,这些错误根本不会出现。

And not only that, we talk about this a lot on the podcast, it slows you down and it causes errors that you wouldn't make if you are instead observing and thinking in English.

Speaker 0

翻译的时候,语法总是不一样的。

When we translate between languages, the grammar is always different.

Speaker 0

词汇也总是对不上。

The vocabulary is always different.

Speaker 0

我们常常犯这些错误,是因为期待母语和英语的用法一样,但其实往往并不一样。

We make these mistakes when we're expecting it to work differently in our first language and in English and it often does not.

Speaker 2

对,就是这样。

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

所以今天我们要分享一些教你用英语思考的技巧,对吧?

So today we are going to give you tips on how to think in English, right?

Speaker 2

这样能让你的表达更快。

So this can speed up the process.

Speaker 2

你会更快地记住单词。

You're going to start to remember vocab faster.

Speaker 2

语法也会变得更自然流畅。

Grammar becomes more automatic.

Speaker 2

而且我觉得,你会变得放松不少。

And just you're you're gonna loosen up, I think.

Speaker 2

在开始讲这些技巧之前,别忘了在你们收听《All Ears English》播客的平台点个关注或订阅,这样就不会错过我们的任何内容了。

So guys, before we talk about these tips, make sure you hit the follow button or subscribe wherever you are listening to the All Ears English podcast so you never miss anything from us.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

那我们就开始吧。

So let's dive in.

Speaker 0

我们该怎么开始用英语思考呢?

How do we start thinking in English?

Speaker 0

这就是关键问题。

That's the question.

Speaker 0

今天我们要分享三个非常实用的技巧,细节也很到位,但同时也别对自己太苛刻。

We are giving you three amazing tips today with some good details, But also give yourself some grace.

Speaker 0

这需要时间,也需要持续练习。

This takes time and consistent practice.

Speaker 0

不过,只要用对方法,你完全可以加快这个过程。

But you can speed up the process with some really good tricks.

Speaker 2

对,我很喜欢这些技巧。

Yeah, I love these.

Speaker 2

第一个技巧是,用英语给自己正在做的事做解说。

So the first trick guys is to narrate your activities in English.

Speaker 2

听起来可能有点傻,我知道有些听众一听就会觉得:这会不会太做作了?

This sounds, you know, I'm sure some listeners are hearing this and they're thinking it sounds a little bit cheesy, right?

Speaker 2

或者可能

Or it might

Speaker 0

第一次尝试的时候确实会有点别扭。

feel cheesy the first time you try it.

Speaker 0

尤其是你大声说出来的時候。

Especially if it's out loud.

Speaker 0

比如你一边从床走到门边,一边说:我现在开门了。

If you're like, I'm walking from my bed to the door and now I'm opening the door.

Speaker 0

虽然感觉怪怪的,但这样能让你的大脑直接用英语思考,而不是先在脑子里翻译成母语。

It might feel strange, but this is making your brain think those things in English without first thinking it in your first language.

Speaker 2

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 2

而且厉害的是,你一个人也能做,比如早上起床准备的时候就行。

And what's great is you can do this alone, you know, just while getting ready in the morning.

Speaker 2

好吧,我得刷牙了。

Okay, you know, I have to brush my teeth.

Speaker 2

我来弄个早餐吧。

Let me make breakfast.

Speaker 2

甚至整个过程都可以这样,

And even all

Speaker 0

刷牙的每一步我都用英语想:我拿出牙膏,挤出一点,涂到牙刷上。

the steps of that, I'm going to brush my teeth, I'm opening the tube of toothpaste, I'm squeezing it and putting some on my toothbrush.

Speaker 0

当然,刷牙的时候别出声,不然会弄得到处都是,但你可以心里想:我现在正闭着嘴刷牙,这样才不会弄得到处都是——这是我常跟我孩子说的。

Now maybe don't talk while you're brushing your teeth, you're going make a mess, but then think in Now your I'm brushing my teeth with my mouth as closed as possible so I That's don't make a what I tell my children.

Speaker 0

为什么呢?

Like why?

Speaker 0

镜子上怎么到处都是牙膏点?

Why is there toothpaste dots all over the mirror?

Speaker 2

但就算你走路的时候,或者跟宠物说话,这也是个特别好的方式。

But even, yeah, if you're walking somewhere or talking to pets, that's a really great one.

Speaker 2

人们经常跟自己的宠物说话。

People talk to their pets all the time.

Speaker 2

你不妨试试看。

Give that a try.

Speaker 2

能说多少就说多少,别拘着。

That's just as much as you can say as possible.

Speaker 2

你不需要非得跟一个说英语的人在一起才能这么做。

And you don't have to be with a human person speaking English in order to do this.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

这正是因为,有时候最难的就是找不到能聊天、能练习说话的人。

This is because that's one of the hardest things sometimes is finding that conversation partner, those speaking partners.

Speaker 0

你可以在心里默念,比如坐地铁或者在公共场合,等你一个人的时候,再出声说出来。

This can either be in your head if you're on the subway or somewhere in public, just saying it in your head and then out loud whenever you're alone and you can.

Speaker 0

如果你去公园散步、出去跑步,或者一个人在家,就大声说出来。

If you're walking to the park, if you're on a run, if you're alone at home, do this out loud.

Speaker 0

做饭的时候,一边做一边描述你在干什么。

Describe what you're doing as you're cooking out loud.

Speaker 0

这样你就会慢慢发现自己的词汇缺口。

And then you will start to recognize vocabulary gaps.

Speaker 0

比如你想说‘我用铲子翻这个鸡蛋’,但不知道‘铲子’怎么说,那就去查一下,对吧?

If you want to say, I'm using a spatula to flip this egg and you don't know how to say spatula, look it up, right?

Speaker 0

弄清楚这个词。

Figure out.

Speaker 0

把新学的词记在词汇本里,不断补充,这样你就能描述自己正在做的事了。

Use your vocabulary notebook and add to your vocabulary so that you can describe what you're doing.

Speaker 2

对,就是这样。

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

所以你可能会说,哎呀,我要迟到了,或者我的梳子放哪儿了?

So this might sound like, know, oh, I'm running late or where did my hairbrush go?

Speaker 2

或者,哇,这食物真香,对吧?

Or wow, this food smells good, right?

Speaker 2

就是任何正在发生的事都行。

This is just anything, anything that's happening.

Speaker 0

我特别喜欢这些观点,因为不只是‘我在做这个、做那个’,还要关注自己的感受。

And I love all of those points because it's not just I'm doing this and then I'm doing this and I'm using It's to do also how am I feeling?

Speaker 0

我闻到了什么?

What am I smelling?

Speaker 0

我漏掉了什么?

What am I missing?

Speaker 0

我在想什么?

What am I thinking?

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

你心里其实会冒出很多想法

There's a lot that you would think in your

Speaker 2

我个人觉得有点累。

personal I'm I'm feeling tired.

Speaker 0

或者。

Or

Speaker 2

也许是晚些时候的安排。

maybe plans for later.

Speaker 2

比如,我得记得晚点给斯黛西打个电话,之类的事情。

Like, I can't forget to call, you know, Stacey later or something like that.

Speaker 0

对,就这么用英语思考。

Exactly think that in English.

Speaker 0

别一整天都这么干,你会累垮的。

And don't do this all day long, you will be exhausted.

Speaker 0

每天三十分钟就够了,专心用英语把正在做的事都描述一遍。

Like thirty minutes a day, take thirty minutes to and really have all of your thoughts be in English and narrate what you're doing in English.

Speaker 0

如果还不觉得太累,下午可以再做一次,又是三十分钟。

And then maybe if you don't feel too exhausted, do it again later in the day for another thirty minutes.

Speaker 2

对,没错。

Right, right.

Speaker 2

就像奥布里说的,这样能帮你把单词变成主动词汇,你会越来越自然地把话说出来。

And so this is going to start to, as Aubrey said, turning it into active vocabulary, you're going to start to just get more comfortable with getting the words out.

Speaker 2

把那些生僻词慢慢去掉。

Removing some of that spatula might

Speaker 0

这个词可能记在你的词汇本里。

be in your vocab notebook somewhere.

Speaker 0

也许你学过这个词,但从来没在对话里用过。

Maybe it's passive vocabulary that you have learned but you haven't actually used it in a conversation.

Speaker 0

我们平时会经常说‘spatula’这个词吗?

How often do we say spatula?

Speaker 0

我连西班牙语或法语里这个词怎么说都不记得,因为我根本不会聊烹饪。

I don't know that word in Spanish or French I don't have conversations about cooking.

Speaker 0

如果我要用法语自言自语,这种事我真遇到过。

So if I were to narrate my thoughts in French, this has happened to me.

Speaker 0

那时候我正想用法语思考,结果卡住了。

That was a gap where I wanted to think, you know, I'm like trying to think it in French.

Speaker 0

我心想:法语里‘spatula’怎么说啊?

I'm like, I don't know how to say spatula.

Speaker 0

得赶紧去查一下。

Gotta go look it up.

Speaker 0

很明显,这个词还没变成我的主动词汇,现在根本说不出来。

Clearly it's not in my active vocabulary yet because I can't say it right now.

Speaker 0

如果我一直坚持用法语自言自语,迟早能说得出来。

If I kept narrating my thoughts, eventually I would be able to.

Speaker 2

没错。

Right.

Speaker 2

你提到发现词汇缺口,这点我特别认同。

And I love what you said about finding the gaps.

Speaker 2

这真的特别关键,对吧?

I mean, that's huge, right?

Speaker 2

所以你就会发现这些空缺。

So just you will find gaps.

Speaker 2

等等,我其实不知道该怎么表达这个。

Wait, I actually don't know how to say that.

Speaker 2

你会找到不同的学习方式,在放松的时候也在练习。

And so you're gonna find different ways to learn and you're gonna be practicing while you're relaxed.

Speaker 2

这一点也很重要。

So that's huge as well.

Speaker 0

是的,这会消除你对开口说英语的恐惧,至少会减轻很多,因为感觉会更自然。

Yes, this will remove that fear of speaking or at least a lot of it because it will feel more natural.

Speaker 0

压力很小。

It's low stress.

Speaker 0

你一边自言自语,一边用英语思考,慢慢就建立起自信了。

You're building confidence by yourself as you narrate your thoughts and start thinking in English.

Speaker 1

想想你上一次用英语对话的经历。

Think about your last English conversation.

Speaker 1

你当时真的全神贯注了吗?还是一直在想语法、词汇、发音,以及接下来该说什么?

Were you fully present, or were you busy thinking about grammar, vocabulary, pronunciation, and what to say next?

Speaker 1

当你的大脑忙着琢磨规则时,就很难和眼前的人真正连上。

When your brain is focused on rules, it's hard to connect with people in front of you.

Speaker 1

真正的流利,才能腾出空间,让对话和人与人之间的连接自然发生。

And take our free two minute quiz.

Speaker 1

我们在那儿见。

See you there.

Speaker 0

好的。

All right.

Speaker 0

第二个要点是用短语思考。

And the number two tip here is to think in phrases.

Speaker 0

也就是说,要学习母语者常用的固定搭配和表达。

So this means to learn common phrases, chunks, we often call them used by natives.

Speaker 0

这可不是单个词的回答。

These are not just one word responses.

Speaker 0

而是一整段话。

It's a whole chunk.

Speaker 0

这些是和新词汇相关的常用表达。

They are go to phrases that are related to new vocabulary words.

Speaker 0

当你用这些完整的短语思考时,你的大脑就会逐渐习惯用英语思考。

And that, when you're thinking in those whole chunks, those whole phrases, trains your brain to think in English.

Speaker 2

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

所以,与其说‘nervous’,你可能会说‘我有点紧张’,还有别的吗,奥布里?

So this might sound like instead of saying nervous, I'm pretty nervous about or what else Aubrey?

Speaker 0

对,与其只说‘funny’,你可以说‘这太搞笑了’。

Yes, or instead of saying just funny, you might say that's so funny.

Speaker 0

这是我听过最好笑的事了。

That's the funniest thing I've ever heard.

Speaker 0

当你在观察和模仿英语时,把母语者说这些话时用的完整表达记到你的词汇本里,然后在用英语思考时,试着直接用整个短语。

And as you're observing English, shadowing English, add these words in the chunk they were used by the native speaker to your vocabulary notebook and then practice when you are thinking in English, use the whole phrase.

Speaker 2

对,就是这样。

Yes, exactly.

Speaker 2

或者‘busy’。

Or busy.

Speaker 2

比如‘我最近特别忙’。

Like I've been really busy lately.

Speaker 2

真不敢相信这周居然这么忙。

I can't believe how busy this week has gotten.

Speaker 0

我最近忙得不行。

Something I'm like so busy.

Speaker 0

这周简直忙疯了。

I have such a busy crazy week.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

这些表达方式,我们不会只说‘I am busy’,而是用这样的说法。

These chunks where we would use that word instead of just I am busy.

Speaker 0

多用这些更地道的表达。

Use these more native chunks.

Speaker 0

了解母语者是怎么想的。

And how native speakers think.

Speaker 0

你母语里就是这么表达的,英语里也得这么想。

This is how you think in your first language and you need to do it in English as well.

Speaker 0

这样你说起来才会更自然。

It will make you sound more natural.

Speaker 0

有点像捷径。

Kind of a shortcut.

Speaker 0

没必要重新组织整句话,因为你已经把词汇当作一个整体学会了。

There's no need to construct a whole new sentence because you've learned the vocabulary as part of a chunk.

Speaker 2

对,没错。

Yeah, yeah, exactly.

Speaker 2

第三点,别追求完美。

And the third thing is let go of perfection.

Speaker 2

我猜你听到我们这么说也不意外,因为我们相信的是连接,不是完美。

And I bet you're not surprised to hear us say that because we believe in connection not perfection.

Speaker 0

是啊,这让我想起我们的吐槽,你们都听过那些吐槽吧。

Yeah this reminds me of our roasts, you guys heard the roasts.

Speaker 0

所有的AI都在说,你们老强调连接而不是完美。

All of the AI is like you guys talk about connection not perfection a lot.

Speaker 0

因为我们真的信这个,AI。

It's because we really believe it AI.

Speaker 0

没错。

True.

Speaker 0

别总盯着我们了。

Get off our backs.

Speaker 2

对,别来烦我们了。

Yeah exactly, leave us alone.

Speaker 2

你跟他们说。

You tell them.

Speaker 2

所以啊,别等觉得自己准备好了再开口,先说起来,边说边找词儿。

So, you know, you know, respond before you feel ready and start your sentence and fill in the words as you go.

Speaker 2

不用非得在脑子里把整句话想好了才说。

So you don't have to wait to create a full sentence in your head.

Speaker 2

然后呢,别怕犯错。

And then, again, accept the mistakes.

Speaker 2

谁还没犯过错呢。

We're all going to make mistakes.

Speaker 2

而且你要明白,这本来就是过程的一部分。

And just realize it's part of the process.

Speaker 2

我儿子最近特别喜欢画画,进步很明显。

I mean, my son is learning to is really getting into drawing.

Speaker 2

一开始他一画错就特别苛责自己。

And at first he was really really hard on himself when he would make a mistake.

Speaker 2

所以我得慢慢教他,接受错误是过程里难免的。

So I had to kind of teach him to accept that that's part of the process.

Speaker 2

我觉得他真的因为这样开始成长了。

And I actually think that he's starting to really grow from that.

Speaker 2

这本来就是过程的一部分,没什么大不了的。

So it's just part of the process and that's fine.

Speaker 0

是的,学语言的时候我们都经历过这些。

Yeah and we have all experienced that with language learning.

Speaker 0

我们都懂,就是害怕犯错,总不敢开口。

We've seen all of this where we do hesitate to make those mistakes.

Speaker 0

我们知道,说话时可能觉得自己老出错,别人会不耐烦,但其实他们并没有。

We know we sound, you know, that we maybe feel like someone's impatient with all of our mistakes, but they're not.

Speaker 0

他们只是特别想和你交流。

They're just excited to connect with you.

Speaker 0

这种建议——先开口再说,边说边组织语言——你现在已经能体会到它的必要性了。在小组讨论里,别人一说话,你根本没时间把整句话想好再开口,一犹豫,机会就没了,别人又接上话了。你得能立刻接上,先说起来,边说边补全句子。

And this advice to start the sentence and then fill in the words, as you are speaking, you are seeing the need for this because when you're in a group conversation and someone says something, you don't have time to think through that whole sentence before you say it, the moment's gone, someone else says something, You have to be able to jump in, start saying it, and build that sentence as you go.

Speaker 0

如果你提前多练习,就会越来越熟练。

And if you practice this in advance, you'll get better and better at it.

Speaker 2

是的,我很喜欢这个说法。

Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2

所以,说话有点乱也没关系,这很正常。

So yeah, this might be a little messy and that's okay.

Speaker 2

你开头用‘嗯’‘我觉得’这样的词也没问题,完全没问题。

And you might start sentences with well or I think and that's okay.

Speaker 0

其实母语者说话时也经常这样。

I guess what native speakers do that too.

Speaker 2

我经常这样

I do that all

Speaker 0

总是这样。

the time.

Speaker 0

总是这样。

The time.

Speaker 0

我觉得这可能就是我在整理思路,琢磨该怎么表达这个观点,需要多谨慎。

I think that might be me kind of gathering my thoughts deciding how do I want to express this opinion, how careful do I need to be.

Speaker 0

我在判断该用什么语气,该多正式,得想想这些。

I'm judging what register should I use, how formal should I be, think about that.

Speaker 0

聊到人际关系时,你脑子里要考虑的东西太多了,比如这些人之间是什么关系。

There's so many things you think about when you go to talk about the relationships and how are these in.

Speaker 0

让我快速回忆一下,这个人是怎么想的,我了解多少,我该怎么回应。

Let me remember really quick what this person thinks or what do I know, how am I going to change.

Speaker 0

我们说话前脑子里要处理的事情真的很多。

There's a lot that we're thinking about.

Speaker 0

你有足够的时间来组织句子,慢慢想好要用的词汇、表达和短语。

You have some time to start that sentence and think about the vocabulary, the phrase, the chunks you want to use as you go.

Speaker 2

没错。

Definitely.

Speaker 2

确实如此,因为即使说得不完美,也有助于提升流利度。

Yeah, I mean and this works because speaking imperfectly helps develop fluency.

Speaker 2

其实错误往往随着时间会自然纠正,或者像我们之前说的,暴露出你需要改进的地方,让你知道该学什么。

Know, mistakes often just kind of work themselves out in time or show like we mentioned before, the gaps where you need to improve, what you need to learn.

Speaker 2

归根结底,这种练习能帮你建立自信。

And ultimately this practice is just going to help build your confidence.

Speaker 0

完全对。

Absolutely.

Speaker 0

就像你和真实的人聊天时一样——找语伴、参加我们的现场口语活动、加入我们的课程,或者来参加我们的自由对话派对。

Just like speaking with real people in conversations when you find speaking partners, when you come to our live speaking events, when you join one of our classes, you come to open conversation club fluency parties.

Speaker 0

学生们也在自己组织口语练习。

Students are running speaking practice as well.

Speaker 0

所有这些都能积累大量的练习,提升流利度和自信。但还有这一点——只要你有空,自己一个人练习,把想法说出来、大声思考,同样也能增强自信,让你在和别人对话时做好准备。

All of that builds so much practice, so much fluency and confidence, But also this, doing it on your own whenever you have time narrating your thoughts, thinking them out loud, that also is going to build that confidence so you're ready for conversations with people.

Speaker 2

没错。

Absolutely.

Speaker 2

我特别喜欢这一点。

Yeah, I love that.

Speaker 2

确实如此。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

我的意思是,这个问题问得真好。

I mean, this is such a good question.

Speaker 2

我觉得这位听众只要像这样不断思考,一定会进步很多。

Speaker 2

今天还有什么想对听众说的吗,奥布里?

Anything we want to leave our listeners with today Aubrey?

Speaker 0

你以前也听过,但重点是交流,不是完美,朋友们。

I mean you've heard this before but connection not perfection guys.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

这就是你要做的。

This is how you do that.

Speaker 0

你不可能从来没说过英语,一开口就指望自己能自信满满,还不怕犯错。

You don't have to jump into a conversation having never spoken English and expect to be confident and expect to not be worried about making mistakes.

Speaker 0

提前做足准备,能让你更有底气去参与对话——就算有点小错误,你照样能跟人建立联系。

There's so much you could do in advance to prepare so that you're ready to dive into those conversations with confidence knowing that sure you might make a few mistakes but you are going to be able to connect.

Speaker 0

你完全能顺利把对话进行下去。

You're going to be able to have that conversation.

Speaker 0

然后你就能真心觉得:好吧,我现在真的准备好去连接了。

And then you can really believe that, okay, I am ready to connect.

Speaker 0

我准备好去进行这些对话了,没必要纠结每句话都要完美无缺。

I'm ready to have these conversations and I don't have to worry about everything I say being perfect.

Speaker 2

太棒了。

Love it.
