语言不仅是语法和词汇的堆砌,更关乎他人对你的认知。也许你用母语时幽默直率,但使用英语却变得拘谨——声音更轻、态度更严肃,仿佛失去了本色。这无关语言能力,而是身份认同问题。

Language isn't just about grammar and words. It's about how people see you. Maybe in your own language, you're funny, outspoken, but in English, you hold back. You sound quieter, more serious, not quite yourself. That's not about skill, that's about identity.

Speaker 1

嗨,奥布里,今天过得如何?我很好,林赛。你呢?不错。

Hello, Aubrey. How are you today? I'm great, Lindsay. How are you? Good.

Speaker 1

很好。今天我们节目要探讨什么主题?

Good. What are we getting into on the show today?

Speaker 0

我有个问题。你还记得前阵子我们讨论过为什么母语者会说'I love it'而不是'I'm loving it'的那期节目吗?

I have a question. Do you remember an episode a little while ago where we talked about why natives would say, I love it versus I'm loving it?

Speaker 1

是啊,这让我想到麦当劳的广告词对吧?'I'm loving it'。我们确实讨论过这个话题,但实在记不清具体是哪期、标题或集数了。

Yeah. I mean, makes me think of McDonald's. Right? I'm loving But, I guess we talked about it at one point, but I really don't know when we talked about it or what the title was or the episode number.

Speaker 0

我也是。既想不起集数也记不得标题,甚至不确定该用什么关键词搜索。这周在学员问答环节有人提出:为什么母语者有时说'I'm enjoying this'而非'I enjoy it'?我当时就想起我们做过一期超棒的节目专门讲这个。

Same. I wouldn't be able to come up with the episode number or the title. I'm not sure exactly which keyword I would use to find it. So this came up in the Q and A this week for our students, one of them asked about why do native speakers sometimes say I'm enjoying this instead of I enjoy it. And I remember that episode, I was like, oh, we did a great episode about this.

Speaker 0

后来我们用ChatGPT查到了那期节目的编号和名称。这样学员们就能在应用里搜索集数或标题收听了。如果你错过了那期,务必坚持听到最后——因为内容确实非常精彩。不过今天,我们要分享三个利用AI充分挖掘All Ears English档案库的技巧。

And then we used ChatGPT to figure out the episode number and the name. Then they can go to our app, listen to it, search the episode number, the name. So stay to the end for that episode, because if you missed it, it was a really, really good one. But today, we're going to share three tips that you can use AI to get the most out of the Alder's English archives.

Speaker 1

没错。今年夏天我们正在用AI做很多创新尝试,将人工智能整合到课程和产品的各个层面。请大家持续关注,今天我们会稍作介绍,但重点是几个实用技巧。

Yeah. We are doing a lot of exciting things with AI this summer where we're adding AI to a lot of different aspects of our courses and our products. So, guys, stay tuned. We'll talk a little bit more about it today. But we have some hot tips today.

Speaker 1

对吧?第一个技巧,Aubreya,就是我们可以把AI当作档案搜索引擎来使用。

Right? Tip number one, Aubreya, is what can we do? We can use it as kind of an archive searcher.

Speaker 0

正是如此。你可以按主题、词汇搜索。比如我们输入'All Ears English有没有做过关于enjoy和enjoying区别的节目?',它立刻就精准检索出来了,对吧?

Right? Exactly. So you can search by topic, vocabulary. I think we, you know, we typed in like, has all ears English done an episode that was about enjoy versus enjoying? And it brought it right up immediately, right?

Speaker 0

有意思。那么我们将针对每一个案例分享你可能输入ChatGPT的提示语,以及当我输入这些提示时得到的结果。第一个例子是关于主题、词汇的,你可能隐约记得听过播客的某一期,或者只是想知道我们是否做过相关主题的节目。比如你可以输入提示:All Ears English做过关于‘两极对立’的节目吗?这是一个习语,想确认下是否讨论过。

Interesting. So we're going to share for each of these a prompt you might put into ChatGPT and what the result was when I put in these prompts. So for this first one, we're thinking about topic, vocabulary, whether you remember vaguely hearing an episode of the podcast, or you just wanna know if we've done an episode about something before. So you could put in the prompt, has All Ears English done an episode on polar opposites? So this is like an idiom trying to find out.

Speaker 0

结果会怎样呢,Lindsey?

What would be the result, Lindsey?

Speaker 1

是的。我们做过。我们确实做过吗?是的。是的。

Yes. We did. We did we? Yes. Yes.

Speaker 1

我想我们做过。

I guess we did.

Speaker 0

我知道。你可能都不记得了。这是很久以前的事了。是第1654期。

I know. You probably don't even remember. This is a while ago. Was 1654.

Speaker 1

我们讨论过‘两极对立’如何形容两个事物或人截然不同。我喜欢这个表达。有趣的是,你完全不记得了,对吧?

We talked about how polar opposite describes two things or people that are completely different from each other. I like that. Interesting. You don't even remember. Right?

Speaker 0

我问过你...我不太确定。Chagibi知道。系统会给出具体的节目编号、标题,并提供一个简短的摘要。所以...

I asked you if I I'm not sure. Chagibi knows. They Come up with the number episode number, the title, and give you a quick little summary. So then

Speaker 1

你可以去听完整期节目。我很喜欢这个想法。我的意思是,ChatGPT的一个重要部分,我们过去几个月使用它学到的,就是关键在于提示。你提示的质量。你的问题有多具体?

you can go listen to the whole episode. I love that idea. I mean, a big of part of ChatGPT, what we've learned over the last few months using it, is that it's about the prompt. The quality of your prompt. How specific is your question?

Speaker 1

你知道吗,如果你不喜欢答案,你会要求更好的答案吗?如果你认为答案可能是错的,因为ChadGBT经常给我们错误的答案。对吧?

You know, are you demanding a better answer if you don't like your answer? If you think maybe the answer's wrong because ChadGBT gives us wrong answers all the time. Right?

Speaker 0

是的。太对了。有时候我们得小心。对吧?这种情况发生在我为苹果订阅用户提供测验题时。

Yes. That is so true. We have to be careful sometimes. Right? This has happened to me when we we provide quizzes for Apple subscribers.

Speaker 0

我当时想,我要看看苹果或ChatGPT能不能出些好的测验题。我试了试,然后我会再次核对那一集的内容,结果它给我的词汇问题甚至不在那一集里。所以我就想,好吧,我需要优化我的提示。我需要弄清楚,因为这主要是用户操作的问题,但你说得对,Lindsay。如果你不知道确切的提示,如果你没有问对问题,你就会得到不正确或有偏差的结果。

And I'm like, I'm gonna see if Apple could come up with some good quiz questions or ChatGPT. And I tried, and they Then I would double check the episode and it was giving me questions for vocabulary that wasn't even in the episode. So I'm like, okay, I need to refine my prompts. I need to figure out because it's mostly user error, but you're right, Lindsay. If you don't know the exact prompt, if you're not asking the right thing, you're going to get results that are incorrect or skewed.

Speaker 0

所以这里面是有技巧的。

So there is a finesse to this.

Speaker 1

是的。所以我们不能...我是说,我最近一直在想的最重要的事情是,我们在使用AI时不能关闭大脑。对吧?这是最大的危险。只要我们保持批判性思维,假设聊天机器人可能是错的,并且我们想让它变得更好,这就是一个好的方法。

Yeah. So we can't I mean, the biggest thing that I've been thinking about lately is we can't turn off our brains when we use AI. Right? That's the big danger. As long as we stay critical and we assume, maybe we assume the chat is wrong and we want to make it better, that's a good approach, Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以,这很有趣,因为如果你对我们有问题,比如关于某个习语或词汇的问题,你可以先去ChatGPT查一下它是否出现在之前的某一集中。听完那集后,它会给你更有趣、更细致、更具体的问题。当你听那集时,正如你在体验英语、沉浸在英语中一样,你开始看到比较和更具体的问题。你可以把那个问题发给我们。对吧?

So, this is interesting because if you have a question for us, something about an idiom vocabulary, you can first go to ChatGPT and find out if it's in a previous episode. Listen to that episode and it is going to give you interesting, more nuanced, specific questions. Episode you listen to, as you are, you know, experiencing English and immersing yourself in English, you're starting to see comparisons and more specific questions. That question you can send in. Right?

Speaker 0

这又成为了一个有趣的节目片段。

And it becomes another interesting episode.

Speaker 1

哦,我们喜欢你们能发来的具体问题。对吧,奥布里?所以,如果你用它来优化你的问题,这是个好方法。奥布里,第二个建议是什么?我们在ChadGPT或类似语言模型上可能想找的第二件事是什么?

Oh, we love good specific questions that you can send to us. Right, Aubrey? So, if you're using it to refine your questions, that's a great method. Aubrey, what would be the second tip? The second thing that we might want to look for on ChadGPT or a similar language model?

Speaker 0

是的。你可以按语法点搜索节目。比如,如果你想更好地理解将来完成时,你可以输入这样的提示:All Ears English有没有关于将来完成时的节目?林赛,这样会得到什么结果呢?

Yes. You want to search for episodes by grammar point. So, for example, if you want to better understand future perfect tense, the prompt you put in could be, has All Ears English done an episode on future perfect? And what would be the result you would get from that, Lindsay?

Speaker 1

嗯,我们试过这个,它告诉我们有。我们做过这期节目,是第1919期,标题是《听完这期节目,你将掌握将来完成时的英语语法》。它甚至还说了是谁主持的,对吧?

Well, when we tried this, they told us, yes. We have done this episode. It's episode nineteen nineteen, and we have the title, you will have mastered future perfect English grammar by the end of this episode. And they even said who hosted it. Right?

Speaker 1

就是你和我,奥布里。嗯。以及我们讨论的内容。

It was you and me, Aubrey. Mhmm. And what we talked about.

Speaker 0

太棒了。没错。是的。非常有用。这样你就可以去听整期节目,了解所有细节。

So good. Exactly. Yes. So helpful. So then you can take that and go listen to the entire episode, get all of the details.

Speaker 0

有时候你可以去我们的网站,或者打开应用搜索“将来完成时”,比如,它可能会...但经常这样,如果你不确定关键词是什么,这时候就该用AI了,你可能需要问几个问题,然后就能找到那些节目,那些关于语法的节目。

And sometimes you could go to our website, you could go to the app and search Future Perfect, for example, and it might But bring that often, if it's something where you're not sure what the keywords could be, that is the time to use AI to you might need to ask a few questions, and then you can find those episodes, those grammar episodes as well.

Speaker 1

是的。奥布里,这只是我们如何利用AI学习英语的冰山一角。我们非常兴奋地宣布,今年夏天我们将在在线课程中大量融入AI技术。部分All Ears English的在线课程将增加AI练习活动,特别是在发音方面,奥布里。

Yeah. So this is just the tip of the iceberg, Aubrey, in terms of how we could use AI to learn English. We are super excited that this summer, we're adding a lot of AI into our online courses. Select online courses at All Ears English are being supplemented with some AI practice activities, especially when it comes to pronunciation, Aubrey.

Speaker 0

没错。AI能即时反馈你的发音问题,帮助你纠正单个音素、单词重音,让你清楚哪些做对了,哪些需要改进。在没有反馈的情况下练习口语非常困难——你说完后根本不确定是否正确。毕竟这是每个人的第一语言。

Yes. AI can give you immediate feedback on your pronunciation to help you with individual phonemes, word stress, so that you know what you're doing right, what you need to change. It's really difficult to practice speaking in a vacuum. When you don't have that feedback, you just say it and and you're not sure if it's right or not. You're everyone's first language.

Speaker 0

你会听到各种不同反馈。有些错误你自己可能意识不到,但AI可以指出来。

You will hear different things. You might not recognize different mistakes you're making. AI can give you that feedback.

Speaker 1

对。但很多学生在考虑报名课程时最常问的问题是:这会取代真人互动时间吗?答案是否定的。加入All Ears English课程体系后,你将被邀请参加我们每周(通常是每周两次,奥布里)的

Yeah. But the most important question that I think a lot of students have been asking us when they think about getting into our courses, they ask us, does this replace my time with a person? Right? And the answer is no. When you're part of the Allers English course system, you are invited to our weekly, biweekly, twice a week usually, Aubrey.

Speaker 1

开放式会话俱乐部和每月一次的流利派对。你将成为社区一员。你觉得AI未来会取代这种社群互动吗,奥布里?

Open conversation club, fluency party once a month. You're in the community. Do you think AI will ever replace this kind of community aspect, Aubrey?

Speaker 0

绝不。我的答案永远是否定的,因为人与人之间建立的联系是AI和机器人永远无法复制的。完全正确。

No. Definitely not. Right? This, My answer for this will always be no, because the connection that is created between two humans can never be replicated by AI, by robots. Exactly.

Speaker 0

对吧?我们在社区中见证的成员、学生之间的联结,以及我们与你们——播客听众们——建立的情谊实在太珍贵了。与AI对话时,你永远无法获得这种人性化的连接。

Right? The connections that we see building in our community with members and students and between us getting to know you guys, podcast listeners and is our amazing. Nothing can really replace that when you have a conversation with AI. You just don't have that human connection.

Speaker 1

这太酷了。我是说,就在这周,我参加了三四次“热座”环节,这是一个特殊时刻,我们会随机从OCC选出一名学生,与我或奥布里进行一对一的分组交流。我有机会见到这些学生,了解他们住在哪里、从事什么工作、面临哪些挑战。这真是太棒了。而且这种形式很可能不会消失,因为正如你所说,我们无法替代人与人之间建立联系的机会。

It's so cool. I mean, even just this week, I was in three or four hot seat sessions, which is a special moment where we choose randomly a student from OCC to go into a breakout session one on one with me or with Aubrey. And I got to meet these students and learn where they're living, what they're doing for work, what their challenges are. That was amazing. And that that probably won't be going away because we can't replace the opportunity to connect human to human, like you said.

Speaker 1

但同时在我们部分课程中加入人工智能,能帮助你更好地准备和学习发音,这样当你获得与我们或其他人对话的机会时就能做好准备,对吧?

But adding AI at the same time to some of our courses helps you prepare and learn the pronunciation better so you're ready when you get a chance to speak with us or another Right?

Speaker 0

这让我想起《黑镜》。有很多集都探讨了这个问题,从心理学、哲学角度思考AI能否取代人类连接。最终结果总是相似的——如果有人...有一集讲的是某人制造了一个已故配偶的替代机器人,这深刻揭示了人类连接是无法被替代的。我们与你们的社群关系也是如此。

It makes me think about Black Mirror. There are a lot of episodes where it sort of goes into this, the psychology, the philosophy of could AI replace human connection? And inevitably, it's kind of the same result that if someone is There's one episode where someone sort of creates like a replacement robot of their spouse that passed away. And it really highlights that human connection just can't be replaced. And it's the same with our community with you guys out there.

Speaker 0

你仍然需要对话伙伴来聊天、练习口语,这些是AI永远无法创造的,而你却能建立这样的连接。

You still need speaking partners to chat with, to practice speaking, so that things that AI could never create, you're able to build those connections.

Speaker 1

老兄,这就是为什么我们把连接作为'全神贯注英语'的核心。这才是我们工作的本质。不是语法,不是词汇。没错。

Man, that's why we talk about connection at the heart of All Ears English. That is the heart of what we do. It's not grammar. It's not vocabulary. Yes.

Speaker 1

你会学习那些知识,但我们这里最核心的是人类连接。连接,而非完美。所以AI是功能性的,它能帮你练习,给你反馈。

You learn those things, but the heart of what we do here is human connection. Connection, not perfection. And so AI is functional. It'll help you practice. It'll give you feedback.

Speaker 1

那个音素发对了吗?现在你可以在我们许多精选课程中获得这种即时反馈。但当你渴望那种神奇的连接时刻时,你需要与真人互动——你在我们的课程中也能获得这种体验,奥布里。

Was that phoneme correct? You can get that now in many of our courses, select courses. But when you want that magical moment of connection, you need to get that with a human, and you get that too in our courses, Aubrey.

Speaker 0

没错。是的。当对话中出现新话题时,你会感到困难吗?不确定如何过渡到下一个想法,或在一群母语者交谈时插话?这些技能都可以在《全神贯注学英语》中培养。

Exactly. Yes. Do you struggle when new topics come up in conversation? Not sure how to transition to the next idea or jump in when a group of native speakers are having a conversation? These are all skills you build right here on All Ears English.

Speaker 0

此外,我们相信学习英语重在交流而非完美。因此我们会教你如何在任何情境下用英语建立联系。现在就点击关注按钮,确保不错过《全神贯注学英语》的任何一期节目。谢谢。

Plus, we believe in connection, not perfection when it comes to learning English. So we show you how to connect in English in any situation. Hit the follow button now to make sure you don't miss a single episode of All Ears English. Thank you.

Speaker 1

好的,奥布里。今天这期节目我们还要聊些什么?

Okay, Aubrey. Where else are we going in this episode today?

Speaker 0

好的。我们的第三条建议是,如果遇到我们未涉及的内容怎么办?比如你在提问框输入:All Ears English有没有做过关于习语'spinning my wheels'的节目?我输入了这个。好主意。

Alright. Our third tip here is, you know, what if we haven't covered something? If you, for example, put in the prompt, has Allers English done an episode on the idiom spinning my wheels? I put this in. Good idea.

Speaker 0

我本以为它会回答'是的,这是第几期节目'。但结果它——

And I was she was expecting it to say, yes, and here's the episode number. But what did

Speaker 1

它怎么说的,林赛?嗯,它显示'目前似乎没有关于该主题的节目'对吧?但我们在第658期等几期节目里确实提到过这个话题。对吧?

it say, Lindsay? Well, it said, as of now, there doesn't appear to be any episode for this topic. Right? But we did touch on this topic in a couple of episodes like six fifty eight. Right?

Speaker 1

转,双胞胎,spiss。抱歉。转,转。

Turn, twins, spiss. Sorry. Turn, turn.

Speaker 0

扭转、转向、旋转。

Twist, turn, and spin.

Speaker 1

还有呢,奥布里,它还说了什么?

And what else Aubrey, what else did it say?

Speaker 0

没错吧?它说虽然没有专门讨论这个主题的节目,但却提供了大量信息。它分享了相关话题及其关联性,然后定义了这个习语。它说“spinning my wheels”通常指付出努力却进展甚微,可能是辛苦工作却收效不大。

Exactly, right? So it said there hasn't been an episode specifically about this, but then it gave this wealth of information. It shared related topics and how they were related. Then it defined the idiom. It said spinning my wheels typically means putting in effort without making a lot of progress, maybe working hard without a big result.

Speaker 0

接着它还给出了例句。所以即便答案是否定的,这里也绝对有很多价值。然后你可以提交问题,对吧?哦,看来你已经明白了。重申一次,我很希望能听到关于这个主题的节目,但即便答案是否定的,这里也有这么多信息。

And then it gave example sentences as well. So definitely a lot of value here, even if the answer is no. And then you could send in a question, you know? Oh, it looks like you have it. Again, I'd love to hear an episode about this, but there's also so much information here if the answer is no.

Speaker 1

是啊。看起来这个主题应该列入我们的清单,奥布里,尽快再做一期节目。“白费力气”,这是个很棒的表达。所以,我想说这就是今天的重点。

Yeah. And it looks like that topic should be on our list, Aubrey, for another episode soon. Spinning my wheels. It's a great expression. So, I mean, this is the point today.

Speaker 1

人工智能正在到来。它已经在这里了。我们正以不同方式用它来学习语言。如果你参加了我们的课程,你会看到它以非常精准和有目标的方式被应用,但它永远不会取代我们对人际连接重要性的看法,也不会取代与真人一对一的练习。

AI is coming. It's here. We are using it in different ways to learn languages. If you're in our courses, you're gonna see it applied in a very precise and targeted way, but it will never replace our our opinion of the importance of human connection, and it won't replace one on one practice with human beings either.

Speaker 0

完全正确。对吧?它是一种工具。我们应该使用它。使用它的方式太多了。

Absolutely. Right? It's a tool. We should be using it. There are so many ways to use it.

Speaker 0

事实上,也请关注商务英语播客,因为我们将会专门制作一期后续节目,探讨如何利用AI提升商务英语能力,尤其针对工作中需要使用英语的人士。但你应该把它当作工具来使用,对吧?在工作中有无数方式可以借助它节省时间、简化任务,但它永远无法取代人与人之间的真实连接。

In fact, hit follow on the Business English podcast as well, because we're going to do a follow-up about how to use AI specifically to improve your business English if you work in English. But you should be using it as a tool, right? There are so many ways to use it at work to save time, to streamline tasks, but it's never going to replace human connection.

Speaker 1

太棒了。各位快去关注Allers English 2220频道。比如解决你的语法疑问这类内容。还有一集也很值得一看。

I love it. Guys, check out Allers English twenty two twenty. Like or liking your grammar questions answered. Another good episode to check out.

Speaker 0

那期节目我们发现了母语者为何会这样使用动词状态?为什么有时用现在进行时,有时又用一般现在时?所有关于这种现象的详细解释都能在那里找到。

That's the episode we found where it's like, why do native speakers do this for a state of verb? Why is it sometimes present continuous? And why is it sometimes present simple? And all of the details there you can find for why that happens.

Speaker 1

真是干货满满。好了,奥布里,还有什么最后要分享给听众的吗?

Really good stuff. All right, good stuff. Aubrey, any other final takeaway for our listeners?

Speaker 0

是的,像我们这样拥有数千期节目的播客,庞大的资料库确实难以检索,但其中蕴藏着丰富的信息,对吧?你可以利用AI充分挖掘这些档案,让搜索变得更便捷,这样你就能找到任何你想学习的...

Yeah, podcasts like ours that have thousands of episodes with this large archive are difficult to search and there's a wealth of information there, right? So you want to use it. You can use AI to make the most out of the archives, to make it easier to search so that you can find older episodes about whatever it

Speaker 1

内容的往期节目。没错。记住,当你在聊天中获取到节目编号后,有多种收听选择:可以直接跳转官网链接,使用我们的应用,或者通过播客平台甚至YouTube观看。

is you're learning. Yeah. And remember, once you do get those episode numbers in chat, you have options on where to consume it. You could link back straight to the website. You can go to our app or you can go to a podcast player or even YouTube.

Speaker 1

我们大部分节目都上传了YouTube。对,途径很多

Most of our episodes are in YouTube. Yeah. Lots of ways

Speaker 0

为了这个。视频?没错。我可不是白做头发的。

to do that. Video? Yeah. I didn't do my hair for nothing.

Speaker 1

我懂对吧?化妆发型这些我们可都是为了你们准备的。好啦奥布里,今天表现很棒。

I know. Right? Makeup and hair and all that stuff we do for you guys. Alright, Aubrey. Good stuff today.

Speaker 1

我特别兴奋,尤其是这个夏天我们将课程融入更多AI技术,继续与学生保持紧密联系。

I am so excited, especially for this summer as we add more AI to our courses and continue to connect with our students.

Speaker 0

绝对地。太棒了。谢谢琳赛。我会

Absolutely. Awesome. Thanks, Lindsay. I will
