Speaker 0

能和你一起录节目,我特别兴奋。

I'm excited to be recording with you.

Speaker 0

大家周六快乐。

Happy Saturday, everyone.

Speaker 0

是的

Yes.

Speaker 2

大家周六快乐。

Happy Saturday, everyone.

Speaker 0

对

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以,Aubrey,我有个问题想问你。

So, Aubrey, I have a question for you.

Speaker 0

好

Okay.

Speaker 0

最近你有没有遇到什么特别古怪的事?

Has anything nutty happened to you recently?

Speaker 2

问得好。

Oh, good question.

Speaker 2

今天我们来聊聊这个形容词‘nutty’。

We're talking about this adjective nutty today.

Speaker 2

这是两集系列的第二部分。

And this is part two of a two part series.

Speaker 2

别走开,看到最后。

Stay to the end.

Speaker 2

如果你错过了第一部分,我们会再放一遍。

We'll share part one if you missed it.

Speaker 2

就算不按顺序听也没关系。

You can definitely listen to these out of order.

Speaker 2

在第一部分里,我提到我儿子在学校经历的一件事,简直太离谱了。

But in part one, I shared a little bit of information about something that happened to my son at school, which was nutty.

Speaker 2

整个事情都特别荒唐。

The whole experience was nutty.

Speaker 2

但第一部分我没讲完,还有一部分没说。

And part of it I didn't share in part one.

Speaker 2

就是我儿子骑自行车去学校,到了车棚后,立马掉头回家了,明明这样会迟到,还得耽误吃药。

And that was that my son had come home, He had ridden his bike to school and he had gotten to the bike rack and then immediately turned around and came home, even though this was gonna make him late for school to take his medicine.

Speaker 2

他忘了吃他的注意力缺陷多动障碍药物。

He had forgotten to take his ADHD medication.

Speaker 2

所以他回家来吃药。

So he came home to take his medicine.

Speaker 2

然后他特别难过,因为他知道自己要迟到了,而且觉得对不起我,因为我得开车送他去学校,而我马上就要开个会。

And then he was really upset because he knew he was going to be late and he felt bad because now I had to give him a ride to school and I had a call that was starting soon.

Speaker 2

他知道这给我添了麻烦,所以特别自责。

So he knew that was hard for me and he felt terrible.

Speaker 2

我就问他,你为什么不直接让办公室给我打个电话,我好把药给你送过去?

I just said, Why didn't you just let the office know to call me and I could bring you your medicine?

Speaker 2

他说,我再也不想这么干了。

He was like, I don't ever want to do that again.

Speaker 2

我就问,为什么?

And I was like, Why?

Speaker 2

他说,因为每次我申请去吃药,老师都会说:‘好吧,那你去吃你的注意力缺陷多动障碍药吧’,然后让我离开教室,他就跟我说了这个事。

And he said, Because when I asked to do that, the teacher says, I guess you can go take your ADHD medicine again and leaving class to be the And he told me

Speaker 0

天哪,这真是让人难以置信。

this Oh was my goodness.

Speaker 2

她是在全班面前这么说的吗?

Is she saying this in front of the whole class?

Speaker 2

他说是的。

He said yes.

Speaker 2

我当时就说:儿子,真是太抱歉了。

I was like I am so sorry, son.

Speaker 2

这太糟糕了,我为你感到难过,也对不起让你有这样的感受。我们后来聊了很久,也就是在那时,他提到了我在第一部分说的那些事——她说另一个班才是她最喜欢的,因为我们的班太吵了。

That is terrible and I'm sorry for how that made you feel and we had a long conversation and that's when what I shared on part one when he shared these other details about she is saying that the other class is her favorite because his class misbehaved.

Speaker 2

简直荒唐。

Was nutty.

Speaker 2

整件事都太离谱了。

The whole thing was nutty.

Speaker 2

我对阿里说:后来我只好打电话给校长,校长还专门找了那位老师谈了一次,真是够疯狂的。

I was like, Ari, so then I had to call the principal and have And a whole long the principal met with that teacher and yeah, crazy.

Speaker 0

这太糟糕了。

That's terrible.

Speaker 0

我真的很抱歉。

I'm so sorry.

Speaker 2

谢谢你。

Thank you.

Speaker 2

希望这事能就此结束,我很高兴这位老师现在明白这种行为是不对的。

Is very I'm it so that it can stop and I'm glad this teacher now realizes that that is not okay.

Speaker 0

确实不对。

Not okay.

Speaker 2

那就看看接下来会发生什么吧。

So we'll see what happens.

Speaker 0

老师早就该意识到这一点了。

Teacher should have realized that before

Speaker 2

嗯,事情发生了,也只能这样了。

that Well, happens you go.

Speaker 2

她不是新老师。

She's not a young teacher.

Speaker 2

她教书已经很多年了,这让我很震惊。

She's been teaching for some time and it's shocking to me.

Speaker 2

我担心这样的事也发生在其他孩子身上,而家长却一直不知道。

Worry that this has happened to other children and the parents just never knew.

Speaker 2

因为孩子通常不会回家主动说这些,他们自己都没意识到这事儿该报告。

Because kids don't usually come home and tell you, you know, they don't realize that it's something they should report.

Speaker 2

是啊。

Right.

Speaker 2

真让人难过。

Aw.

Speaker 2

太离谱了。

Crazy.

Speaker 2

嗯,我

Well, I'm

Speaker 0

很高兴你站出来为你儿子发声,你真是个好妈妈,奥布里。

glad that you spoke you know, spoke up for your son and that's, yeah, you're a good mom, Aubrey.

Speaker 1

谢谢。

Thank you.

Speaker 2

不过今天我们来聊聊‘nutty’这个词。

But yeah, we're talking about this word nutty today.

Speaker 2

就像我之前说的,之前那一期我们讲了‘cheesy’和‘fishy’。

So as I said, follow for part one, which was about cheesy and fishy.

Speaker 2

我们讨论过怎么用这些词来形容食物,或者气味。

We talked about how we use those words to describe foods, yes, or smells.

Speaker 2

有些东西闻起来会发腥,吃起来也会发腥。

Something could smell fishy or taste fishy.

Speaker 2

有些东西吃起来会很俗气。

Something could taste cheesy.

Speaker 2

但其实我们还经常用它们来比喻一些完全不同的意思。

But we also use them idiomatically describe things that have very different meanings.

Speaker 2

别走开,我们一会儿会回放第一部分。

Stay to the end, we'll share part one.

Speaker 2

如果错过了,可以去补看。

If you missed it, you can go check that out.

Speaker 2

今天我们要讲另外两个词,它们跟食物有关,但其实我们更多是用它们的比喻义。

And then today we have two more words like this that are about foods but we use them or at least the word is related to a food but we use them idiomatically as well.

Speaker 2

我们可以说‘nutty’来形容能乐或者某种带有坚果味的酱料。

We could say nutty to describe Nutella or something that a sauce that has a nutty flavor.

Speaker 2

但更常见的是用它来比喻某种状态,Michelle,你说这到底是什么意思?

But we use it more often idiomatically like this to describe something as, what does that mean Michelle?

Speaker 2

这东西有点儿‘nutty’。

Something's nutty.

Speaker 0

是的,意思就是有点疯、怪异,或者有点古怪,对吧?

Yeah, well it means kind of crazy, strange or a little eccentric, right?

Speaker 0

对,没错。

So Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2

一个人也可以是 nutty,意思就是有点古怪、特立独行。

A person could be nutty, and you mean they're kind of eccentric.

Speaker 2

没错。

Totally.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

而且通常这词是开玩笑用的,并不带恶意。

So, I mean, this is also usually light hearted, not really offensive.

Speaker 0

当然,也可能不是。

I mean, suppose it could be.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

如果你态度很严肃,不是开玩笑的时候,那就不一样了。

If you're being very serious and not light hearted.

Speaker 0

但一般来说,它用来形容想法、行为,或者像奥布里说的,一个人的性格。

But generally it describes ideas, behaviors, or someone's personality as Aubrey was mentioning.

Speaker 2

确实挺有意思的,因为我们可以用它来表达一种更轻松的意思。

Yeah, is really interesting because we can use it in a much more light hearted way.

Speaker 2

有人只是说,他们碰上了高中时的同学,你就会说:‘哇,真够巧的。’

Someone just says, you know, they ran into someone from high school and you're like, Woah, that's nutty.

Speaker 2

这其实就是表示:‘真让人意外。’

And it just means like, That's surprising.

Speaker 2

挺古怪、挺离谱的。

That's crazy strange.

Speaker 2

或者你也可以像我那样用。

Or you could use it the way I did.

Speaker 2

我有时候就这么用。

And I do it this sometimes.

Speaker 2

我会说:‘那事儿真够离谱的。’

I'm like, It was nutty.

Speaker 2

我的意思是,那事儿挺疯狂的,但不是那种好的疯狂。

And what I mean is it was crazy, but like not in a good way.

Speaker 2

没错。

Right.

Speaker 2

这得看情况。

It depends.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

所以确实得看情况。

So it really does depend.

Speaker 0

那我们来演几个小场景吧。

So let's do couple mini role plays.

Speaker 0

开始了。

Here we go.

Speaker 2

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 2

我来开头。

I'll start us.

Speaker 2

你打算这个周末开车横跨全国?

You're thinking about driving across the country this weekend?

Speaker 0

我知道这听起来有点疯狂,但我就是特别想来场冒险。

I know it sounds nutty, but I'm craving an adventure.

Speaker 2

是啊,如果只是临时起意、特别冲动,那确实有点疯狂,对吧?

Yes, and that would be nutty if it's like spur of the moment, super spontaneous, right?

Speaker 2

而且如果这跟你平时的性格完全不符的话。

And also if it's out of your character.

Speaker 2

如果你平时根本不会突然说走就走去自驾游,那确实有点不靠谱。

If you're not the type of person to go on road trips out of the blue, that would be a bit nutty.

Speaker 2

或者还有另一种情况,要不这么说?

Or here's another Or how about this one?

Speaker 2

哦,你先说。

Oh, go ahead.

Speaker 2

对,你来开头。

Yes, you start us.

Speaker 0

哦,你听说丹想开个骆驼农场吗?

Oh, did you hear Dan wants to start a llama farm?

Speaker 2

这确实有点疯狂,但我真觉得他干得出来。

Oh, that's a little nutty, but I could totally see him doing that.

Speaker 2

有意思的是,你老公也叫丹。

It's funny because your husband's name is Dan.

Speaker 2

对,没错,我就是这么想的。

Yeah exactly, that's what I was thinking.

Speaker 2

他要开个骆驼农场。

He's starting a llama farm.

Speaker 0

我实在想象不出来。

Can't see it.

Speaker 2

我也没法想象。

Couldn't can't see me.

Speaker 2

这事儿不可能是我们。

Couldn't be us.

Speaker 2

我家可不行。

Not for my family.

Speaker 2

好,再来一个。

Okay here's another one.

Speaker 2

你看到他那个演讲了吗?

Did you see the speech he gave?

Speaker 2

跟我想象的不一样。

Not what I was expecting.

Speaker 2

是啊,他有点疯,但我就是喜欢。

Yeah, he's a little nutty, but I love it.

Speaker 2

这个词我有时候用,比如有人跟我讲一些特别吓人的事,像是政治人物干的,我就用它来缓和气氛。

This is a great, I use this word sometimes to lighten the mood if someone is telling me about something horrifying that maybe a political leader did.

Speaker 2

这次倒不算吓人,就是特别出乎意料。

And that was not horrifying but just really surprising.

Speaker 2

比如有人发张照片,把自己P成了耶稣的样子。

Like maybe they post a picture where they have photoshopped them as Jesus.

Speaker 2

也许只是一个很大的例子。

Maybe just a big example.

Speaker 2

可能就是那种特别离谱的事。

Might just be like that's nutty.

Speaker 2

你确定吗?

Are you sure?

Speaker 2

也许这是假新闻,但你一查才发现,哎,这事儿还真发生了。

Maybe that's fake news and then you look and you're like, No, it looks like that really happened.

Speaker 2

哦,这真够离谱的。

Oh, that's really nutty.

Speaker 2

尤其是当我跟那些不觉得这有多奇怪的人聊天时,因为你永远说不准什么时候事情背后有政治因素。

Especially if I'm talking to someone who might not think that's as strange as I think it is because you never know when things are political.

Speaker 2

我并不总是能猜出别人的政治倾向。

Like I don't always know what someone's leanings are.

Speaker 2

所以‘离谱’这个词挺好,本身没有明显的褒贬意味。

So nutty is a good word that doesn't have necessarily a positive or a negative value judgment.

Speaker 2

你这时候应该说:哦。

You should be like, oh.

Speaker 2

这就像是在说:挺有意思的。

It's almost like saying, that's interesting.

Speaker 2

很难判断他们是褒义还是贬义。

And it's hard to know if they mean like positive or negative.

Speaker 2

这话说得对。

That's good point.

Speaker 2

有点离谱。

That's a bit nutty.

Speaker 2

带点负面意味。

A little negative.

Speaker 2

有点儿那种:这事儿真怪。

A little bit of like, that's strange.

Speaker 2

这事儿真怪。

That's strange.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

确实如此

It's true.

Speaker 0

确实如此

It's true.

Speaker 0

那我们现在来聊聊 'peachy' 这个词吧。

So now let's talk about peachy.

Speaker 0

我特别喜欢这个词。

So I love this word.

Speaker 0

但有趣的是,我们其实并不用它来形容吃起来像桃子的东西。

But what's interesting about it is we don't really use it to describe something that has a like, that tastes like peaches.

Speaker 0

比如,我们可能会这么用,但并不常见。

Like, we don't I mean, we might, but it's not very common.

Speaker 0

比如你吃桃子派的时候,你不会说:‘哦,这味道真桃子味儿’——我们根本不会这么讲。

Like if you're having a peach pie or something, you're not going to say, Oh, this Yeah, tastes we don't use

Speaker 2

也不会用它来形容那种颜色。

it to describe things that are that color either.

Speaker 2

你不会说,‘这件桃色的裙子’。

You wouldn't be like, This peachy dress.

Speaker 2

我们根本不用这个词。

We just don't use that word.

Speaker 2

要说颜色,我们会直接说‘桃色裙子’。

We would say a peach dress to use the color.

Speaker 2

但说实话,我只知道今天这种用法,是唯一熟悉的方式。

But yeah, really the only way we use, the only way I'm familiar with using peachy is the way we are talking about today.

Speaker 2

用它来比喻一切顺利,情况特别好。

Idiomatically to describe that everything is great, things are going really well.

Speaker 0

不过,如果我跟你做个味觉测试,我说:

However, I could see if like I gave you, I said we're going to do a taste test.

Speaker 0

你能猜出这是什么味道吗?

Can you tell what this flavor is?

Speaker 0

然后我给你一块口香糖。

And I give you a piece of gum.

Speaker 0

你可能会说,哎,这味道有点像桃子。

And you might say like, oh it tastes kind of peachy.

Speaker 0

其实也不是完全不用这个词。

Know, so it's not that it's Maybe never used.

Speaker 0

只是有时候,没那么常用而已。

Sometimes just just not not that that Why

Speaker 2

比如说,这味道是咸的、甜的、桃味的。

to be like this tastes salty, sweety, peachy.

Speaker 2

但说实话,我觉得即便那样,我也会说,这味道像桃子。

But really I think even then I would be like it tastes like peach.

Speaker 2

有点桃子的味道。

It's kind of peach flavored.

Speaker 2

对。

Right.

Speaker 2

很少会有人说这味道像桃子。

It would be rare to be like it tastes peachy.

Speaker 2

而且我也明白,这可能会引起误解。

And because I also would realize that could be a misunderstanding.

Speaker 2

如果我说这味道像桃子,我担心对方会误会我的意思。

If I say this tastes peachy, I might think they think I mean this.

Speaker 0

没错。

Good, right.

Speaker 0

这种说法不像其他表达那么常见,听起来有点过时,但还是有人用。

Again, this is not quite as common as the other expressions and it may sound a little old fashioned but it's still used.

Speaker 0

我喜欢这种说法。

I like it.

Speaker 0

听起来是有点土,但绝对不是怪味,各位。

It is a little cheesy sounding, but it's not fishy, guys.

Speaker 0

我们还是用上一集提到的那些表达方式。

We are using the other expressions from the other episode.

Speaker 0

但听起来特别热情、很暖心。

But it's just it it sounds very enthusiastic and nice.

Speaker 0

那我们来演几个小场景,让你感受一下。

So let's do a couple role plays to show

Speaker 2

这种表达听起来是什么样。

you how this sounds.

Speaker 2

你新搬的公寓住得怎么样?

Okay, how's everything going with your new apartment?

Speaker 2

到目前为止一切都挺顺的。

Peachy so far.

Speaker 2

我特别喜欢这个小区。

I'm really loving the neighborhood.

Speaker 2

是啊,你能明白为什么有些人会觉得这说法有点土。

Yes and you can see how some people would see this as a bit cheesy.

Speaker 2

这跟个人性格有关。

It depends on someone's personality.

Speaker 2

对有些人来说,用这个词再正常不过了,完全在预料之中。

For some people this would be a very normal word to use, very expected.

Speaker 2

但其他人可能根本不会这么说,对吧?

Other people would never, right?

Speaker 2

所以这取决于你自己的性格,以及你平时喜欢用哪些词。

So it depends on your own personality and the words you choose to use.

Speaker 2

我喜欢这个词。

I like this word.

Speaker 2

我希望能遇到一个总是说‘挺好的’的人。

I would like a person who's like peachy.

Speaker 2

挺好的。

Peachy.

Speaker 2

挺好的。

Peachy.

Speaker 0

我觉得挺有意思的。

I think it's fun.

Speaker 0

非常积极。

Very positive.

Speaker 0

对,现在忙季结束了,情况是不是好多了?

Yeah, or are things better now that busy season is over?

Speaker 2

哦,是啊,现在一切都顺心如意。

Oh yeah, everything is peachy now.

Speaker 2

我觉得这种用法没那么俗气。

And this is sort of a less cheesy way of using this I feel like.

Speaker 2

这种说法更常见。

This is more common.

Speaker 2

我们在工作中经常会这么说。

We would say this at work.

Speaker 2

就是表示没错,一切都变好了,一切都很顺利。

It just means like yep, everything is better, everything is going well.

Speaker 0

对,但语气不同,也可能听起来是讽刺。

Yeah, but it can also sound sarcastic depending on the tone.

Speaker 0

那我们来演示一下这句话该怎么说。

So let's show how that might sound.

Speaker 0

那个客户真是要求多多。

That client is so demanding.

Speaker 0

和他开会开得怎么样?

How'd the meeting go with him?

Speaker 0

哦,和往常一样,挺好的。

Oh, just peachy as usual.

Speaker 2

是的,如果我知道情况其实很糟,我会用语气暗示:根本没顺利。

Yeah, so if we know it went bad, I'm using my tone to share that like, it did not go well.

Speaker 2

我们经常用这种方式表达讽刺。

Often with sarcasm we do this.

Speaker 2

我们说的其实是相反的意思,靠语气来传达真实想法,对吧?

We're saying the opposite meaning and using our tone to show that, right?

Speaker 2

所以我经常用‘挺好的’这么说。

So I use peachy this way a lot.

Speaker 2

今天一切也都顺心如意。

Also, everything's peachy today.

Speaker 2

哦,其实根本不是那么回事,事情糟透了。

Oh what's And really I mean everything's horrible.

Speaker 0

对了,你有没有用过或者听过‘peachy keen’这个词?

Right, then also do you ever use or hear peachy keen?

Speaker 2

哦,当然有。

Oh yeah, definitely.

Speaker 2

我不禁想知道这个词是从哪儿来的。

I wonder where that comes from.

Speaker 2

Peachy keen,peachy keen。

Peachy keen, peachy keen.

Speaker 2

我们小时候经常这么说。

It's just a We said that a lot growing up.

Speaker 2

最近怎么样?

How are things going?

Speaker 2

好得不得了。

Peachy keen.

Speaker 2

好得不得了。

Peachy keen.

Speaker 2

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

就是特别顺利的意思。

Just means up really well.

Speaker 2

这种回应挺有意思的。

That's a fun way to respond.

Speaker 2

我平时不太这么说。

I don't use it that much.

Speaker 2

好久没听人说了,但我挺喜欢的。

I haven't heard it in a while, but I like it.

Speaker 2

听着挺有意思。

It's fun.

Speaker 2

是的,我也挺喜欢的。

Yes, I like it too.

Speaker 2

好,我们来角色扮演一下。

Alright, let's do a role play.

Speaker 2

米歇尔,你和我是朋友,正在计划一次自驾游。

Michelle, you and I are friends here and we are planning a road trip.

Speaker 2

我觉得我们正在把这件事变成现实。

I think that we are manifesting this into reality.

Speaker 2

咱们去自驾游吧。

Let's go on a road trip.

Speaker 0

我们会开一辆

We'll take a

Speaker 2

长时间的旅程,配上

in long opportunity with

Speaker 0

一辆大房车。

a big caravan van.

Speaker 0

听起来不错。

Sounds great.

Speaker 2

横跨整个国家。

And go across the country.

Speaker 2

挺有意思的。

Sounds interesting.

Speaker 2

开始了。

Here we go.

Speaker 2

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 2

那我们这周末还去自驾游吗?

So are we still doing that road trip this weekend?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但我在网上找到的租车优惠看起来有点可疑。

But the rental car deal I found online seems a little fishy.

Speaker 0

哦?怎么说?

Oh, how so?

Speaker 0

价格低得离谱,但评价却少得可怜。

The price is super low, but they barely have any reviews.

Speaker 2

这确实有点奇怪。

That is a little strange.

Speaker 2

那我们换一家公司吧。

Let's go with another company then.

Speaker 2

同意。

Agreed.

Speaker 0

我觉得我们还是把开车的时间分摊一下比较好。

And I also think we should break up the driving.

Speaker 0

我知道你打算一天开十个小时,但这也太疯狂了。

I know you wanted to drive ten hours in one day, but that's just nutty.

Speaker 2

行吧。

Okay.

Speaker 2

你大概说得对。

You're probably right.

Speaker 2

但你得答应我,别再拿那些老掉牙的公路旅行歌单出来了。

But you have to promise me that you won't bring those cheesy road trip playlists again.

Speaker 2

成交。

Deal.

Speaker 2

好,既然这些都安排好了,这次

Alright, now that those things are sorted, this

Speaker 0

旅途肯定会很顺利。

trip should be peachy.

Speaker 0

我知道。

I know.

Speaker 0

我太期待了。

I'm so excited.

Speaker 2

太棒了,听起来真有趣。

Yay, sounds so fun.

Speaker 2

我超喜欢这个。

I love this.

Speaker 2

你会注意到,我们用了这个系列第一部分里的几个词。

And you'll notice we used a couple of the words from part one of this series.

Speaker 2

那我们来逐条看一下。

So let's go through this.

Speaker 2

第一个例子,我们说过,网上看到个优惠,但感觉有点不对劲,价格低得离谱,评论却少得可怜。

The first one, so we said, oh I found this deal online but it seems a little fishy because like low prices but not very many reviews.

Speaker 2

这种事偶尔会发生。

This will happen sometimes.

Speaker 2

你正翻着评价,发现居然没多少人评论。

You're like checking reviews, oh we don't have a lot of reviews.

Speaker 2

按理说,要是真划算,早就该人尽皆知了,怎么评论这么少?所以觉得可疑。

You would think that this would be well known if it's a good price, lots of people are liking it, so seems fishy.

Speaker 0

没错,就是这样。

Yep, exactly.

Speaker 0

然后我说,我知道你想一天开一百公里,但这也太离谱了。

And then I said, I know you wanted to drive 10 in one day, but that's just nutty.

Speaker 0

所以我心想,这简直太疯狂了。

So I'm like, that's just Crazy.

Speaker 2

是啊,听起来确实疯狂又荒唐。

Yeah, sounds like crazy, ridiculous.

Speaker 2

荒唐至极。

Ridiculous.

Speaker 2

这可不是个好主意。

It's not a good idea.

Speaker 2

但这么说显得更轻松一点。

But it's a more playful way to say that.

Speaker 2

我觉得‘离谱’比‘疯狂’更贴切。

I like nutty better than crazy.

Speaker 2

这简直太离谱了。

That's just nutty.

Speaker 2

意思就是,我觉得咱们不该这么干。

Meaning like, I don't think we should do that.

Speaker 2

但语气要轻松一点。

But in a light hearted way.

Speaker 2

接下来是,你答应我,别带那些俗气的公路旅行歌单,好吗?

And then the next one is, promise me you won't bring those cheesy road trip playlists, right?

Speaker 2

我以前是带过俗气的磁带,或者烧过的CD,不过说实话,现在这么一说,我感觉自己真老了——现在应该是Spotify或者Apple Music上的歌单吧,要是全是这种俗气的歌,那我可受不了。

So I had brought cheesy or you had cheesy mix tapes, burned CDs, or actually I guess these days, I'm really showing my age there, it would be like a playlist on Spotify or Apple and Music where you've if it's cheesy music, then I'm not here for it.

Speaker 0

对,就是这样。

Yes, exactly.

Speaker 0

然后你说,这些问题都解决了,这次旅行就完美了。

And then you said, now that those things are sorted, the trip should be peachy.

Speaker 0

所以这次旅行会特别顺利。

So the trip should be great.

Speaker 2

对,没错。

Yes, exactly.

Speaker 2

我超爱这些词。

I love all of these words.

Speaker 2

真高兴你能学会用它们。

I'm excited for you to be able to use them all.

Speaker 2

如果你往上滑,可以看第一期,标题是《当 Fishy 和 Cheesy 不是关于食物的时候》,发布时间是 26:53。

You can check out part one if you scroll up, it was 2six fifty three, When Fishy and Cheesy Aren't About Food.

Speaker 2

今天你学到了,当 peachy 和 nutty 不是关于食物的时候该怎么用。

And today you learned about when peachy and nutty aren't about food.

Speaker 0

这期节目真有意思。

What a fun episode.

Speaker 0

没错, definitely。

Yes, definitely.

Speaker 0

对,今天的关键是,词的意思不一定跟字面一样。

Yeah, so takeaway for today is that words aren't always what they seem.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

有时候这些词有双重含义。

Sometimes they have a double meaning.

Speaker 0

这些词用起来特别有趣,不妨试着放进你的日常表达里,拉近彼此的距离。

And these are just really fun words to give a try in your vocabulary and use them to connect.

Speaker 2

希望你接下来的一天也顺心如意,米歇尔。

And I hope you have a peachy rest of your day, Michelle.
