Speaker 0

嗨,大家好。

Hey there.

Speaker 0

欢迎来到《桌游犀利点评》。

Welcome to Board Game Hot Takes.

Speaker 0

我叫蒂姆。

My name is Tim.

Speaker 1

这位是克里斯。

And this is Chris.

Speaker 0

这位是亚当。

This is Adam.

Speaker 0

今天我们要聊一聊我上周末在达拉斯BGGCon上玩到的几款游戏。

And today, we're gonna be talking about a bunch of games that I got a chance to play at BGGCon in Dallas just this last weekend.

Speaker 0

我昨晚才刚回来。

I just got back last night.

Speaker 0

克里斯和亚当今天也一起来聊聊。

Chris and Adam are along for the ride.

Speaker 0

他们也会和你们一起第一次听到这些游戏,说不定还会有自己的见解或问题。

They're gonna get to hear about some of these games for the first time along with you and and hopefully have some insights or questions about them themselves.

Speaker 0

在进入今天的话题之前,我想问个跟桌游展会相关的问题,这周我一直在想这件事:你有没有在桌游展上交到朋友?

Before we jump into that topic this week, I have a question that's related to board game conventions, something that really was on top of my mind this week, and that is, have you ever made friends at a board game convention?

Speaker 0

这个问题是我之前在我们的Patreon和Discord群里做的一个投票。

So this was a poll question I asked to our Patreon supporters and our Discord.

Speaker 0

这两个地方一直都有很多精彩的讨论。

Always lots of great conversations going on in those two places.

Speaker 0

我给的第一个选项是‘我从来没去过桌游展’,有大约36%的人选了这个。

The first option I gave was I've never been to a board game convention and that got about 36%.

Speaker 0

选‘有’的占了40%,选‘没有’的占了24%。

Yes, got 40% and no, got 24%.

Speaker 0

Patreon和Discord上的结果都差不多,比例很接近。

And this was pretty close numbers on both our Patreon and our Discord.

Speaker 0

这个结果在两个平台上都挺一致的。

It's pretty consistent results there.

Speaker 0

很明显,我给人们留了退路,问他们有没有参加过桌游展会,因为这个问题本身没什么意义。

Obviously, I gave people an out with the question about whether they've ever been to a board game convention because that's not useful.

Speaker 0

但让我意外的是,在剩下的64%里,大约三分之二的人都觉得他们在展会上真的结识了朋友。

But I was pleasantly surprised to see that about out of the remaining 64%, about two thirds had considered that they made friends at a board game convention with other people.

Speaker 0

这周我之所以想到这个,是因为待会儿你会听到几个例子——他们恰好都是我们的听众,所以我认识他们比较容易,是他们主动找到我的。

The reason this came up to me this week is you're gonna hear about a couple of and now these do happen to be listeners, so it was a little easier for me to make these friends because they found me.

Speaker 0

不过我哥哥史蒂夫和我一起去了达拉斯参加那个展会。

But my brother Steve and I went out to meet up in Dallas for this convention together.

Speaker 0

说实话,我本来以为整个周末我们可能就只能玩双人游戏了。

And I honestly didn't know if we'd just be playing two player games all weekend.

Speaker 0

当然,我提前向听众们发了消息,说如果有人想和我们见面聊聊,随时都可以。

Obviously, I put out a call to our listeners to offer if anyone wanted to connect with us, they could.

Speaker 0

我们也敞开着,只要有人路过我们的桌位,说一句‘你们在布置吗?’

And we were open to if somebody walked by a table and said, hey, you're setting up.

Speaker 0

要不要一起玩一局?

Would you like to play?

Speaker 0

我们本来以为会特别希望有人来加入我们。

We would have bet we'd love to have someone join us.

Speaker 0

但最后,我们整个周末都跟在会上刚认识的那两个家伙一起度过了。

But ultimately, we ended up spending most of our weekend with these two guys that we had just met at the convention.

Speaker 0

后面我会再详细说说这件事。

And I'll talk more about that coming up.

Speaker 0

你们有没有在桌游展上交到朋友?

Have you guys ever made friends at a board game convention?

Speaker 0

我知道你们会怎么回答,因为我跟你们一样,也参加过很多次桌游展,但你会怎么答呢?

I mean, I know the answers to this because I spent all the time that you spent at a board game convention, but how would you answer this?

Speaker 2

我回答的是没有,我从来没在展会上交到朋友。

So I answered no, I haven't made any friends.

Speaker 2

我去过一次蒂姆提到的达拉斯那场展,就是去年十一月的BGGCon,认识了一些挺有意思的人。

I got to meet some cool people at the one con that I went to that Tim's talking about in Dallas, BGGCon in November of I don't know when, '24?

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

我觉得吧。

I think.

Speaker 2

我认识了苏纳·雷和他的妻子,人特别好。

So I got to meet like Sooner Ray and his wife, great.

Speaker 2

我还见到了艾米丽,还有其他一些听众,或者就是想聚一聚的人,那感觉真的很棒。不过,要是以前有场聚会离我家近点就好了,比如洛杉矶那边有个战略游戏大会,我真想哪天去一趟。

I got to meet Emily and a bunch of our other listeners or people just wanted to hang out so that was awesome but no, if I'd ever gone to a con closer to where I live, there's a strategic con up in LA, I'd love to go to that one at some point.

Speaker 2

我肯定在本地也认识不少人,但见过之后就再没联系了,也就没机会再聚了。

I'm sure I meet a lot of local people and then you know have some chance to follow-up and hang out with them after just meeting them at a con and never seeing them again.

Speaker 2

所以,我在游戏展上确实没交到什么朋友。

So no, I haven't made any friends at a con.

Speaker 1

我的回答跟亚当差不多,但最核心的一点正好相反。

So my answer is kind of the same as Adam's except the the front line, the headline is the exact opposite.

Speaker 1

我觉得我在展会上确实交到了朋友,只不过可能这种友谊比较浅吧。

And I would say that I had made friends at cons, but maybe I have a much more a much thinner version of friendship.

Speaker 1

我不太确定。

I'm not sure.

Speaker 1

因为我是在展会上认识这些人的,虽然不常见面,但我还是把他们当成朋友。

Because I met these people at cons and I would consider them to be friends even though I don't see them frequently.

Speaker 1

比如,如果我在另一个展会上碰到他们,我会说:‘哎,是Soonerray啊’,或者‘PG汉堡’,还有安迪·施瓦茨,他现在是节目的朋友了,之前我只在社交媒体上跟他互动过,对他有个模糊的印象。

They're people that if I saw them at another con, I'd be, oh, hey, Sooner Ray or PG Hamburger or, you know, Andy Schwartz who's now, you know, a friend of the show and was somebody who I had, you know, knew in the abstract before because we'd interacted with him on social media and stuff like that.

Speaker 1

但直到我亲自见到他,坐下来和他一起玩了场游戏,我才真正觉得他是我的朋友。

But it wasn't until I met him in person and got to sit down at the table and play a game with him that now I would consider him to be a friend.

Speaker 1

所以我觉得,这种关系其实有不同层次。

So I think that there's different levels of this.

Speaker 1

像在BGG上经常一起玩游戏、互动的人,虽然我从没见过面,但我还是会把他们当成线上朋友,就像在社交媒体上打交道的那些人。

Like, you know, people on BGG that I play games with frequently and, you know, interact with on BGG, but I have never met in person that I would consider to be, like, online friends, like somebody that I deal with on social media.

Speaker 1

但只要我真正在现实中见过某人,我就会愿意称他们为朋友,因为我觉得,哪怕见面不多,这种面对面建立的联系也是真正的朋友关系。

But once I've met somebody in real life, I allow myself the luxury then of calling them a friend because I consider that to be a a legitimate way of having a friendship even if you don't see them a

Speaker 0

很多。

lot.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说实话,我和你们情况差不多,我在展会上认识的那些人,大多都是通过介绍认识的——要么是听我们节目的听众,我们主动邀请他们加入我们,一起玩;要么是朋友带我去认识他们的朋友,慢慢就熟了。

I mean, I I've kind of been in the same situation as you guys where most of the people I've met at cons and got got to spend time with were introductions, whether they knew us through the show and we welcomed them into our group and hung out with them or like I've been to some cons where other friends introduced me to friends and I got to know them.

Speaker 0

这挺好的。

That was cool.

Speaker 0

我在想,如果我和史蒂夫在那儿,看到有人在找玩家,我们就坐过去一起玩,玩得挺开心,那我们接下来整个周末还会主动约他们出来吗?

I was kind of thinking about the idea of if Steve and I were there and we sat down at somebody who was looking for players and we sat down at a table and we had a fun time, would we continue to ask them to hang out for the rest of the weekend?

Speaker 0

说到底,我们确实和一些听众这么做过,但我觉得我们对其他人也可以这样。

Ultimately, again, we did this with some listeners that we hung out with, but I could see us doing that with other people too.

Speaker 0

而且,当你和一个人整个周末都待在一起,朝夕相处,自然就会觉得是朋友了,这时候很自然就会说:‘下次我去达拉斯参加BGG春季展,你还会来吗?’

And, and then ultimately, you know, consider when you spend a weekend with somebody and a lot of time around them and you know, you kind of consider them friends and certainly an opportunity to say, Hey, next time I'm going to be in Dallas at BGG spring, are you gonna show up again?

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我觉得这条路很清晰,从我个人的经历来看,认识这些人、在展会上找到志同道合的伙伴,真的特别棒,所以我强烈建议你们至少试着去这么做。

I so I think that there's a clear great path to do it, and I would highly recommend you at least make an effort on that from my perspective, from the the positive experience I've had from getting to know some people and finding great people to spend time with at these cons.

Speaker 0

下面是一些比我们更有经验的听众是怎么回答的。

Here's how some of our listeners answered who are much more experienced con goers than we are.

Speaker 0

大卫·科宾说,我95%的朋友都是通过桌游认识的。

David Corbin said, 95 of my friends are people I met through board gaming.

Speaker 0

其中很多都是在桌游展上认识的。

Many, many of them are folks I met at a game convention.

Speaker 0

这正是我不断重返BGGCon的原因之一。

That's one reason I keep going back to BGGCon.

Speaker 0

我在那里认识了一些朋友,平时几乎只在展会上才能见到。

I have friends I met there that I tend to only see there.

Speaker 0

萨姆斯特说,我在桌游展上结识了不少朋友,住得近的已经成了我固定的游戏圈子里的一员,而且这个圈子还在不断扩大。

Samster said, not only have I made a good number of friends at board game conventions, but the ones that live near me have become part of my regular gaming group, and the number keeps growing.

Speaker 0

这些故事真挺棒的。

So some great great stories there.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

Super cool.

Speaker 0

马格努斯·梅克说,我们认识并一起玩过很多不错的人,但都没再发展出更深的联系。

Magnus Maker said, we've met and played with a lot of nice people, but never had anything extend beyond that.

Speaker 0

我其实挺好奇的。

And I'm kind of curious.

Speaker 0

欢迎你后续再补充一些看法,Magnus,不过我觉得,要想发展成朋友,总得有个人主动一点。

Welcome to more feedback on this, Magnus, in a follow-up, but I think it does require that somebody has to make the effort to turn it into more of friendship.

Speaker 0

我不是在说你有没有做过,或者有没有没做,但确实,得有个人主动迈出一步,比如玩完之后说:‘今天玩得真开心。’

I'm not saying that you didn't or did or you know, anything like that, but it is, you know, it is a requirement that one of the parties has to kind of, you're walking away, hey, we had a great time playing.

Speaker 0

能加个微信吗?

Can I get your phone number?

Speaker 0

要不要保持联系?

Do you want to keep in touch?

Speaker 0

要不要在Board Game Arena上一起玩几局?

Do you want to play some games on Board Game Arena?

Speaker 0

下次我来你这城市,要不要约一下,一起玩?

You want me to hit you up next time in town and see if we can get together?

Speaker 0

我觉得,这确实得稍微走出舒适区,但如果对方没主动,那你就得先迈这一步。

Like it it takes a little bit of reaching outside the comfort zone, I think, but but you do have to make that effort if the other party doesn't take that step.

Speaker 0

丹说,每次我去参加展会,都能结识新朋友。

Dan said every single time I've gone to a convention, I've made new friends.

Speaker 0

最棒的是,我总能在别的展会,或者同一年复一年的展会上再见到这些很棒的人。

The best part is I tend to see these great folks at other conventions or the same one year after year.

Speaker 0

有些人已经成了我日常玩桌游的固定伙伴,真的是特别棒的人。

Some have become part of my normal game group as well, genuinely the best people.

Speaker 0

我不确定是不是同一个丹,但我感觉这可能是我们的一位听众,几年前我去第一届BGGCon的时候,还真和他一起玩过游戏。

I don't know for sure this is the same Dan, but I think this is one of our listeners that I had actually gotten a chance to play games with when I went to the first BGGCon a couple years ago.

Speaker 0

如果真是这位丹,和他一起玩简直太棒了。

And Dan was awesome to play with if this is the same Dan.

Speaker 0

如果不是也没关系,你肯定也很棒,丹。

If not, I'm sure you're awesome too, Dan.

Speaker 0

到处都有这么多出色的丹。

Lots of great Dan's all over the place.

Speaker 0

欧文说,通过参加桌游展会,他结识了世界各地的朋友。

Owen said, have made friends all over the world by attending board game cons.

Speaker 0

最深厚的友谊都是在桌游邮轮上建立的。

The strongest friendships were made during board game cruises.

Speaker 0

你们有没有考虑过参加一次桌游邮轮?

Have you guys thought about doing one of these board game cruises?

Speaker 0

你们觉得这种活动有意思吗?

Is that something you think you would be interested in doing?

Speaker 2

有啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

我之前在Discord上提过这事,记得Andy Schwartz最近又聊到,他说自己参加过类似的邮轮,或者至少对这类活动有些经验。

I brought this up on the Discord a while back, and I think Andy Schwartz coming up again was talking about maybe he did one of these or at least he had some advice on cruises.

Speaker 2

带孩子特别合适,你只要让他们在船上随便跑,只要别掉海里就行——反正他们也跑不远,跑哪儿都是被圈着的。

Great for the kids because you can just, you know, let them run around the boat and as long as they don't fall off the boat, that's a good thing because they're not going anywhere captive.

Speaker 2

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 2

但我觉得这种活动特别有意思,尤其是去我没去过的地方。在海上玩桌游,什么也不用操心,就看着无边无际的大海,多自在。然后靠岸时还能去悉尼、新西兰这些地方,上岸走走,顺便逛逛风景。

But these always sound fun to me especially if it's some part of the world that I've never been to being able to play some board games while you're on the sea, just doing nothing except, you know, open ocean, why not play some games and then get into some, you know, Sydney or something, Sydney, New Zealand and then being able to go out and walk around, enjoy the countryside a little bit.

Speaker 2

听起来挺有意思的。

That sounds pretty fun to me.

Speaker 2

所以我真的很想参加一次这样的活动。

So I would love to do one of these.

Speaker 1

那我来当个扫兴的吧,说实话,我不太感兴趣。

So I'm gonna be the curmudgeon here and say not really.

Speaker 1

我不太喜欢坐邮轮。

I I am not a fan of cruises.

Speaker 1

我这辈子只坐过一次邮轮,完全受不了。

I've taken one cruise in my life and I hated it.

Speaker 1

所以这绝对不是我偏爱的度假方式。

So it's not it is not my preferred method of vacationing.

Speaker 1

不过要是能玩桌游的话,可能还好一点,毕竟你本来就得多坐着玩游戏。

It might actually be better with board gaming because you're gonna be spending so much time sitting, playing games.

Speaker 1

那样的话,说不定会更有趣一些。

So that might actually make it more fun.

Speaker 1

但除此之外,整天闷在船里,我真的提不起兴趣。

But other than that, being kinda cooped up on a boat is is not my, not my cup of tea.

Speaker 0

我从来没坐过游轮,主要原因是我和妻子在一起快十九年了,她一坐船就晕。

I've never been on a cruise, and it for a large part, I've been with my wife for about nineteen years, and she is motion she gets motion sick.

Speaker 0

她不喜欢在海上,游轮对她来说也没什么吸引力。

She's not a fan of being in the ocean and a cruise doesn't sound appealing to her.

Speaker 0

所以,这种度假方式我们根本就没考虑过。

So, know, that's just kind of ruled out that vacation opportunity.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得听起来挺不错的。

Sounds like a great time to me to be honest.

Speaker 0

谁知道呢,也许哪天她会想试试,但我可不敢指望。

And you know, who knows, maybe at some point that would be something that she'd be interested in trying, but I'm not gonna count on it.

Speaker 0

要是她和朋友出去玩一周,正好碰上有人开游轮,我倒是可以趁机去体验一下。

Or if she's traveling for a week with some friends somewhere and there's a cruise going on at the same time, I might jump right on that opportunity and give it a shot.

Speaker 0

不过话说回来,游轮上最棒的消遣,大概就是和一群桌游爱好者一起玩桌游了。

But that does sound like a great way to spend your downtime on a cruise is playing board games with other fanatics.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

最后一个回答是卡里姆·洛佩兹说,他太内向了,没法在那种热闹场合交朋友,但还是喜欢去凑热闹、感受气氛。

And last answer here was Karim Lopez said, too much of an introvert to make friends in crowds like that, but still enjoy going and being part of the fun.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

确实挺难的。

It's tough.

Speaker 0

就说我自己吧,我得承认,上周末去参加这个展会,我比哥哥早到两个多小时,就在那儿转悠,看看展品,但光是想到要走过去问人家‘这儿有空位吗’,我就有点紧张。

I mean, even for myself, I have to admit, I got to this convention this last weekend a couple hours before my brother did, and I kind of wandered around, looked at stuff, but I get a little bit of anxiety even just thinking about walking up to a table and saying, Hey, you got an open spot.

Speaker 0

我能坐这儿吗?

Can I sit down there?

Speaker 0

过一会儿我一般就能克服这种感觉,主动开口,每次这么做了我都挺感激的,但如果你本来就不外向,这事儿真不容易。

I usually get over it after a little bit of time and I'll make the offer and I always appreciate when I do, but it is not easy to do if being naturally outgoing isn't, you know, isn't natural to you.

Speaker 1

说到这个,我听过最好的建议是这样的,因为我本人特别内向。

You know, the best advice that I ever got on that front, because I am I am extremely introverted.

Speaker 1

我老婆总提醒我,当我特别内向的时候,想想上次有人直接走到你的游戏桌前,你心里是不是也挺惊喜的。

My wife always reminds me if I'm feeling particularly introverted, like, when was the last time someone just, like, walked up to your game table and you were like, oh, man.

Speaker 1

我真没想到有人会主动过来想玩一局,真的。

I can't believe this guy just came up and tried to play a Like, no.

Speaker 1

你其实觉得挺好的。

You thought you thought it was really nice.

Speaker 1

你担心的那些人,很可能跟你一样,心里也在想:天啊。

And so this the p the people that you're concerned about are probably just like you are and are probably like, oh, man.

Speaker 1

有人愿意过来跟我们一起玩游戏,这真是太好了,

This is great that this guy wants to come and play a game with us or

Speaker 0

女生。

gal.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好吧

Alright.

Speaker 0

不错

Cool.

Speaker 0

嗯,这就是答案了。

Well, that that's that that, answer.

Speaker 0

听到其他人对这件事的反馈和经历,真挺有帮助的。

Great great to hear some other people's feedback and experiences on that.

Speaker 0

这让我更有动力,也更充满希望了。

Gives me a little bit more motivation and hope.

Speaker 0

我真想每年能参加个一两场这样的展会。

I really think I wanna start to get out to maybe a couple of these cons every year.

Speaker 0

这个周末我玩得特别开心。

I I had an absolutely fantastic time this weekend.

Speaker 0

所以我打算分享一些我的体验。

So I'm gonna share some of the experiences.

Speaker 0

主要是我会重点讲那些我之前没玩过、这次是第一次体验的桌游。

Mostly, I'm gonna be focusing on the board games that I have not played before, that this will be the first time I can share my experiences with it.

Speaker 0

虽然我们玩了很多游戏,但我主要是带我弟弟玩一些我早就喜欢并熟悉的game。

I will say that we got a lot of games in, but I was introducing my brother to a lot of games that I already enjoyed and and knew to play.

Speaker 0

这些我会提一下,但如果你想知道详细评价,最好回头去看看我们之前的评测,因为这次不会有多少新内容,而且我们要讲的很多,时间却很紧。

So I'll mention those, but I'm just gonna tell you that if we have done a review on it to go back and find that review because you're not gonna get a whole lot new there and we have a lot to cover in a short amount of time.

Speaker 0

那我们直接开始吧。

So let's just jump right in.

Speaker 0

我们周五下午到的。

So, we got in on Friday afternoon.

Speaker 0

我到得比预期早了一些。

I ended up with a little bit earlier flight than I was expecting.

Speaker 0

大概一点多就到了。

Got there a little after one.

Speaker 0

史蒂夫大概四点到,所以我有一段时间可以打发。

Steve was coming in a little around four, so I had a bit of time to kill.

Speaker 0

逛了一圈,熟悉了环境,走过展商区之后,我想跟大家聊聊,因为这一直是我心里的疑问。

And after walking around, getting the lay of the land, walking through the vendor hall, well, I guess I I would like to share with you guys because this was a question on my mind.

Speaker 0

BGG春季展和我们以前参加的BGG大会有什么不同?

How did BGG Spring differ from our past BGG experience?

Speaker 0

至少我身边的朋友们,都知道秋天会去参加大型的BGG大会。

Because at least all my local friends, when I you know, there there's a bunch of people that go to the the big BGG Con in the fall.

Speaker 0

但当我提到BGG春季展时,几乎没人打算来。

And when I was mentioning BGGCon spring, almost nobody was gonna be there.

Speaker 0

根本没人计划参加这个活动。

Like, nobody had any plans to do it.

Speaker 0

我也不太清楚到底差在哪,所以完全没预料到会是什么样子。

And I just I'm not sure what the difference was, so I didn't know what to expect here.

Speaker 0

最大的不同在于

The one big difference

Speaker 1

可能有一部分原因是,德州春天的气温比秋天高出整整75度。

And part of it may be the fact that it's 75 degrees hotter in Texas in the spring than it is in the fall.

Speaker 1

这可能是一个原因。

That may be one thing.

Speaker 0

这倒有可能,但我得说,会议厅、会展中心,还有酒店里的温度,跟秋天一样凉爽。

That could be, but I can tell you that the conference halls or the the convention center, you know, the hotel was just as cool as it was in the fall as well.

Speaker 0

说不定还有点太冷了。

Maybe a little too cold.

Speaker 0

但我要说的最关键的区别是,这次活动在达拉斯机场的凯悦酒店举办,就在航站楼旁边,一眼就能看到。

But but but the the one big difference I knew we were getting into here is that this was set at the Hyatt Regency at the Dallas Airport, which is literally like you can see it from the terminal.

Speaker 0

你确实得坐个小班车,大概五分钟就能到机场那边。

You do have to take a little shuttle, takes about five minutes to get there from the airport.

Speaker 0

秋天那场规模更大的活动,是在达拉斯市中心的凯悦酒店办的。

In the fall, the bigger one is held at the Hyatt Regency Downtown Dallas.

Speaker 0

所以我当时真不知道这儿会是什么情况。

So I didn't know what to expect here.

Speaker 0

我听说这次活动更偏向家庭向,也就是说小孩会比较多。

I had heard that this was more of a family focused event, meaning there were more likely to be kids there.

Speaker 0

有个本地人说,他不去就是因为有小孩。

Somebody local had said, that's why I don't go because there's there's kids there.

Speaker 0

我当时就想,难道会到处都是孩子跑来跑去吗?

And I was like, oh, is this gonna be all kids running around?

Speaker 0

但说实话,这次的感觉和秋季的BGGCon几乎一模一样。

Well, what I can tell you is that this felt almost exactly the same as BGGCon fall.

Speaker 0

虽然酒店小了一点,但整个布局、那些可以自己摆桌的安静小房间,全都安排得和以前一样。

Like the layout of the it was a little smaller hotel, but the layout of the how everything was laid out, how there were these side rooms you could go set up tables in if you wanted a quieter space.

Speaker 0

有好几个大房间。

There were several big rooms.

Speaker 0

还有个供应商展区。

There was a vendor hall.

Speaker 0

所有东西都只是规模小了一点而已。

All of it was just on a little bit of a smaller scale.

Speaker 0

能感觉到人少了一些,但具体多少我也说不上来。

And you could tell there was less people there, but I couldn't tell you the count.

Speaker 0

我猜大概有一半的人吧。

I'm guessing about half the people.

Speaker 0

供应商展区大概只有原来的三分之一大小,可能是因为观众少了,商家的兴趣也相应低了一些。

The vendor Hall was probably a third of the size, so definitely a little bit probably because of lower audience, a little bit less interest for the vendors.

Speaker 0

但除此之外,感觉和秋季那场几乎一模一样。

But otherwise, it felt almost exactly the same.

Speaker 0

那里有孩子吗?

Were there some kids there?

Speaker 0

有啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我看到的孩子比秋季那场还多一点。

I saw a few more kids running around there than I did in the fall one.

Speaker 0

但他们一点都没吵闹。

They weren't disruptive at all.

Speaker 0

人少得可怜。

It was barely anybody.

Speaker 0

我主要看到他们在主区域走来走去。

And mostly I saw them in like the main areas, you know, kind of walking by.

Speaker 0

我没看到一堆孩子在游戏区逗留之类的。

I didn't see them like there wasn't a bunch of kids hanging out in the playing spaces or anything like that.

Speaker 0

这家酒店的25楼有一整层,好像是专门腾出来的小会议室,加起来有十几个。

They did have on the 25th Floor of this hotel, they had a whole floor that I think were just small meeting rooms that they opened up and it was like 16 plus.

Speaker 0

那地方大概就是给想躲开孩子的家长准备的吧。

It was literally a space to go if you wanted to get away from kids, I guess.

Speaker 0

不过我们上去玩了两局,也没觉得有什么不一样。

But again, I we went up there and played one a couple of games up there and I didn't really notice any difference.

Speaker 0

我们上去只是因为楼下有一会儿找不到桌子。

We only went up because we couldn't find a table downstairs at one point.

Speaker 0

顺便说一句,如果你喜欢秋天的BGG,但还没参加过春天的,感觉其实差不多。

But just FYI, if you like BGG in the fall and you've never been to the spring one, felt very similar.

Speaker 0

我挺喜欢它离机场近,去起来很方便。

I kinda liked that it was close to the airport, easy to get to.

Speaker 0

酒店也不错,而且里面就有餐厅,不想出门的话吃喝都很方便。

Nice hotel again and, you know, nice food on premises if you don't wanna leave the hotel.

Speaker 0

这就是我参加BGG春季展的体验。

So that was my experience with BGG Spring.

Speaker 0

好了。

Alright.

Speaker 0

那咱们直接进入大家最关心的部分——游戏吧。

So let's jump into what everybody's here for, the games.

Speaker 0

因为我到得比较早,就去了一趟图书馆。

So because I got there a little bit early, I went into the library.

Speaker 0

我特别喜欢在那里逛图书馆。

I love browsing through the library there.

Speaker 0

当然,他们那里有一整块区域是新游戏。

And of course, they have a section of newer games.

Speaker 0

他们对热门游戏的关注度没秋季展那么高,也许正因为这样,秋季展才更吸引人,因为他们没把来自埃森展和Gen Con那些刚出炉的热门游戏都收齐。

They don't have quite the focus on the hot games that the fall one does, maybe that's why that's more of a draw because they don't have all the hot games that are coming out of Essen and Gen Con and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

不过他们还是摆了过去一年内出版的新游戏,专门设了个新游专区,找起来很方便。

But they still have games that were published in the last year that are on kind of a newer shelf so you can locate those easily.

Speaker 0

我路过那个货架时,偶然看到了一款叫《成年》的游戏。

And one of the games I ran across as I was walking by that shelf is Coming of Age.

Speaker 0

我觉得《成年》要么今年、要么去年就上了我的想玩清单。

This is a game I think made my Wanna playlist either this year or last year.

Speaker 0

《成年》是由丹尼·加西亚设计、Ludanova公司发行的。

Coming of Age was designed by Danny Garcia and published by Ludanova.

Speaker 0

丹尼·加西亚最近我老提起,因为他设计的几款欧式游戏真的特别有创意。

And Danny Garcia is a designer I keep talking about lately because he's designed some of the most unique Euros that I've had a chance to play.

Speaker 0

我最喜欢他的《风车谷》,还有《巴塞罗那》也是一款出色的欧式游戏。

My favorite of his being Windmill Valley, and then also Barcelona is a fantastic Euro.

Speaker 0

至于《森林之息》,我虽然没那么着迷,但里面确实有不少特别出彩的设计。

And then I was less infatuated with Arboria, but it had some really, really cool stuff going on.

Speaker 0

所以《成长》这款游戏讲的是当孩子的过程,慢慢培养自己的能力和性格,一步步走向成年。

So Coming of Age is a game about, really about being a kid and kind of coming, like developing your skills and your traits and moving it towards adulthood.

Speaker 0

它想传达的,是你在经历各种事情时的感受,那些经历如何塑造你的个性,让你慢慢成长。

And it's kind of trying to share the, like, the situation of being the experience you're going through and learning from experiences and how that impacts your personality and things like that.

Speaker 0

这个游戏的版图,其实就是你个人的玩家板,设计得像一个人的脑袋。

The board on this is your your your individual player boards look like your head.

Speaker 0

在这颗‘脑袋’里,有好几条轨道,你得在上面移动,其中一些轨道代表你开局时就拥有的不同特质。

And so inside this header, a bunch of tracks primarily that you're kinda moving around and there's both tracks that represent the different traits that you have at the start of the game.

Speaker 0

游戏一共进行四轮。

This game is played over four rounds.

Speaker 0

游戏开始时,你只能使用其中两条轨道。

At the start of the game, only two of those tracks are available to you.

Speaker 0

你在游戏中互动时,每移动一次轨道,都会获得相应的奖励或代价,因为每条轨道上都标有各种增益效果。

And one of the costs and benefits you're going to get as you interact in this game is moving up and down these tracks that all have bonuses printed on them.

Speaker 0

但这些轨道其实代表的是像……唉,我一时想不起来具体是啥了。

But they're supposed to represent things like your, Man, I can't even remember.

Speaker 0

好吧,我稍后再回来说这个。

Okay, I'll get back to that in a second.

Speaker 0

这游戏用了一大堆术语来营造氛围,但我全忘了。

There's a lot of terminology here that the game uses to try to be thematic, and I don't remember any of it.

Speaker 0

我对这种游戏里花里胡哨的 thematic 语言真不擅长。

I'm terrible at these, you know, at the thematic language that's used in games.

Speaker 0

但简单说,它代表的是你性格中的五个方面。

But bottom line, it's supposed to represent five different traits of your personality.

Speaker 0

游戏开始时,你只能使用其中两条轨迹。

At the beginning of game, only two of those tracks are available to you.

Speaker 0

每过一轮,就会多开一条轨迹,这象征着你作为孩子逐渐成长,性格的更多方面慢慢显现出来。

And over each round of the game, another track opens up and that kind of represents you're developing as a child where more of the, you know, parts of your personality start to come out.

Speaker 0

在这头像版的左侧,我最喜欢的一个设计就是这些友谊轨迹。

And then on the right hand side of the or on the left hand side of this head player board, one of my favorite thematic parts about it are these friendship tracks.

Speaker 0

当你在主版图上行动时,如果和另一位玩家落在同一格,你们就能建立友谊,互动越多,友谊就越深。

And as you interact on the main board in this game, if you're on a space with one of the other players at the board, you can develop a friendship with them and start to grow that friendship the more you interact with them.

Speaker 0

所以那个人的头像标记会沿着你的友谊轨道往下移动。

And so that person's head, like, they've got a little token that represents that player, will move down your friendship track.

Speaker 0

游戏中还有一些非玩家角色,你可以遇到他们,和他们互动,建立关系和友谊。

And there's also some NPC characters that you can meet and interact with in the game and develop relationships and friendships with them as well.

Speaker 0

从主题设计来看,这个游戏里有很多特别棒的细节。

So thematically, there's a lot of really cool stuff going on in the game.

Speaker 0

游戏的核心机制是有一个主版图,代表你的街区或城市,上面分布着各种地点。

The general mechanisms is that there's this main board that represents your neighborhood or your city, and there's a bunch of locations.

Speaker 0

游戏开始时,你只能访问四个地点,比如家、学校、披萨店,还有个游戏厅之类的。

The start of the game, you only have four locations available to you, like your home, school, pizza parlor, and an arcade, I think, or something like that.

Speaker 0

但随着你慢慢长大,你的活动范围也会扩大。

But as you get older, you're going to start to stretch out.

Speaker 0

你可以走出自己的街区,开始去一些新地方,比如远足小径、麦当劳,还有保龄球馆等等。

You have the ability to move outside of your neighborhood and you're going to start to There's a hiking trail and there's like the McDonald's and there's like several other places that you're going to bowling alley.

Speaker 2

听起来你生活中需要的一切这里都有了。

Really everything you need in life, sounds like.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

麦当劳和一条徒步小径。

A McDonald's and a hiking trail.

Speaker 0

游戏机制其实很简单:每轮开始时你掷骰子,随着游戏进行,你会获得更高级的骰子。

So so the game works like this really quickly is that you roll dice at the start of the round, and each round, you get more advanced dice.

Speaker 0

因为一开始只有四个地点可用,所以你第一轮只掷一个四面骰。

So at the start of the round, because there's only four space available, you roll one d four.

Speaker 0

掷出的数字就是你这轮的起始地点。

And that means that number you go to is the location you're starting on.

Speaker 0

不过你可以调整这个结果。

You can mitigate that.

Speaker 0

如果你想换去别的地方,可以消耗一些资源,应该是意志力吧,我记得是这样。

If you want to go to a different location, you can spend some resources, willpower, I believe, if I remember right.

Speaker 0

我有点记不清了。

I don't remember.

Speaker 0

这里还有很多主题命名的资源,你可以花费其中一种来移动到别的地点。

There's, again, there's a lot of different resources here that are thematically named, but you can spend a resource to basically move to a different location.

Speaker 0

到了那个地点后,你会和地点效果互动,同时还能做几个选择,比如培养一段记忆——这需要付出代价,但能获得资源和其他奖励。

And then when you're at that location, you're going to interact with the locations, bonuses, but then there's also a couple choices you can make at that location, like developing a memory, which has, you have to pay a cost and you develop, you get some resources for it and some other things.

Speaker 0

游戏的基本机制就是这样。

That's how the game works.

Speaker 0

游戏的核心是你一开始会有一些目标,可以在自己的玩家面板上发展最多四个。

The focus on the game is that you have some goals that you're going to start with at the beginning of the game, and you can develop up to four of them on your player board.

Speaker 0

这些目标会为你带来大部分分数。

And these are where you're gonna get most of your points.

Speaker 0

目标的内容可能是比如在某些轨道上到达特定地点之类的任务。

And the goals are gonna be things like trying to be at certain locations on the tracks that you're meeting with, stuff like that.

Speaker 0

所以你要不断调整各种要素,来达成这些目标。

And so you're manipulating all these levers to try to meet these goals.

Speaker 0

当你设定一个目标时,把它正面朝上放在玩家面板上,立刻就能获得分数。

When you create a goal, you it on your player board face up and you're scored immediately.

Speaker 0

然后你会得到一个模仿标记,可以在游戏后期使用——当你达成自己的目标时,还能算上邻居或其他玩家已经完成的目标。

And then you get this little mimic token that you can now look you can use later in the game that when you're meeting a goal, you can actually meet one of your neighbors or any of the other players goals that they've met.

Speaker 0

他们把这些目标叫做‘特质’。

You they've they they call them traits, these goals.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

所以你是在培养各种特质。

So you're developing traits.

Speaker 0

其他玩家也在培养特质,而你可以模仿他们的特质,同样能获得分数。

Other people are developing traits and you can mimic those traits, which will also score you points.

Speaker 0

游戏结束时,你还会有一些终局目标,如果你集齐了全部四个特质,就能完成最多四个这样的目标。

And at the end of the game, you also have some endgame goals that if you've unlocked all four of your traits, you can complete up to four of these goals.

Speaker 0

从主题上说,这个游戏巧妙地营造出一种专注于提升技能的欧式玩法,主题表达得非常到位。

So it basically thematically tries to make this euro that is all about developing your skills and everything, and it does a wonderful job thematically.

Speaker 0

但问题是,这游戏上桌教起来特别难,因为规则书里用的术语根本没说清楚‘把白色棋子移到这条轨道上’这种具体操作。

Except this is a very hard game to sit down and learn at the table because all the terminology that's used in the rulebook is using terminology that doesn't It doesn't tell you, Hey, move the white cube on this track.

Speaker 0

它说要把耐力方块移到大脑轨道上,之类的。

It says, move the endurance cube on the brain track or whatever.

Speaker 0

每件事都用一种特别别扭的方式指代。

You know, like every single thing is referenced in a weird way.

Speaker 0

我花了很多工夫才真正弄明白。

So I had a really hard time internalizing this.

Speaker 0

我坐下来认真研究。

I sat down.

Speaker 0

我 setup 好之后,Steve 来之前只有半小时时间学规则,本来想自己先搞懂,再教他。

I had about thirty minutes to learn it after I set it up and before Steve got there and I was gonna try to teach it to him.

Speaker 0

前两三轮我们简直磕磕绊绊,完全搞不清状况。

And so we really struggled through the first round or two trying to figure out what was going on.

Speaker 0

等游戏快结束时,我们才彻底明白了。

By the end of the game, we totally got it.

Speaker 0

一旦你能把那些术语转化成实际玩法,这其实是个挺流畅的德式游戏。

It's a pretty streamlined euro once you actually can turn the terminology into the rules of the game.

Speaker 2

所以蒂姆,一开始你有很多挫折标记,但后来你成功减少了它们。

So Tim, at first you had a lot of frustration tokens, but then you're able to minimize your frustration tokens.

Speaker 0

是的,谢谢。

Yeah, thank you.

Speaker 0

你刚调出了一些规则,对吧?这正好说明了我想说的那个点。

It looks like you just pulled up some rules on that because that's Here's exactly one of what I'll say, okay?

Speaker 0

大概这就是游戏的运作方式和它的核心机制。

So that's kind of how the game works and what it is.

Speaker 0

我一直想玩这个游戏。

I've been wanting to play this game.

Speaker 0

和丹尼·加西亚的所有设计一样,这个游戏非常独特。

As with all of Danny Garcia's designs, it's very, very unique.

Speaker 0

我从来没玩过其他有这种机制的游戏,但效果出奇地好。

I have never played anything that has these exact mechanisms and it works pretty well.

Speaker 0

我觉得这可能不是最适合的初次体验,因为没人专门教我,也没人手把手带我。

And I'm not sure this was a best first play because somebody wasn't teaching it to me and kind of guiding my hands.

Speaker 0

说实话,前面几轮我玩得特别吃力。

You know, like I I really was struggling through the first couple rounds here.

Speaker 0

不过我和史蒂夫最后都说了,这真是一场有意思的对局。

But I will say that Steve and I both came away at the end and said, that was a game.

Speaker 0

下次再玩肯定会更有趣,因为我们已经大概知道目标在哪,也能更好地去触发那些机制了。

And we could see it being more interesting on the next play because we know a little bit more about where we're trying to go to and and actually work on these triggers.

Speaker 0

但我觉得这局算不上特别出色。

But I don't think it was like a great game.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,如果再玩一次,当然没问题。

Like, don't think it's a game that I mean, if I played it again, great.

Speaker 0

但我怀疑自己以后会不会说,这是我的最爱,非得再玩一遍不可。

But I doubt it's a game that I will ever say like, this is a favorite or I need to go back and play this again.

Speaker 0

这体验挺特别的,有点像《Arboria》,我觉得在丹尼·加西亚的作品里,它能排得比那款稍高一点。那款机制确实很酷,但玩起来没让我觉得特别过瘾。

So interesting experience, kind of like Arboria, and I would say I'd rank it just a little bit higher than that on Danny Garcia's catalog, which is that had some really cool mechanisms, but just didn't make a super fun experience for me.

Speaker 1

蒂姆,你之前提到这款时,我就被它吸引住了。

So, Tim, when you talked about this one on your wanna playlist, you got me fascinated with it too.

Speaker 1

很高兴你有机会玩过这个游戏。

So I'm really glad that you had a chance to play it.

Speaker 1

我一直在想,这游戏看起来真漂亮。

The thing that I'm wondering, and I'm I'm looking at this and it looks beautiful.

Speaker 1

我喜欢它的美术风格。

I like the art in it.

Speaker 1

我这个人本来就特别感性。

And, of course, it's I'm a super sentimental person.

Speaker 1

游戏里的那些场景,比如孩子们在披萨店闲逛什么的,都特别能触动情绪。

So all the things that it's showing in there, like, you know, the kids hanging out at the pizza parlor and all that, it seems so sort of emotion emotionally provocative.

Speaker 1

你玩的时候有这种感觉吗?

Did you feel like that when you were playing it?

Speaker 1

它有没有让你体会到画面想传达的那种氛围?

Did it feel like it was evoking the kinds of things that it looks like it's intending to provoke?

Speaker 0

没有。

No.

Speaker 0

但那时候我感觉只是在轨道上上下移动,我觉得很大一部分原因是我还在适应那些机制。

But because it felt like I was just moving up and down tracks, but I think a big part of that was me struggling through the mechanisms.

Speaker 0

后来我认真琢磨了一下,慢慢熟悉了游戏,才开始真正体会到——原来你们想表达的东西特别清晰,那些场景到底在讲什么,一下子就明白了。

I was like really, if I put my mind to it and as I was kind of easing into learning the game, I was starting to like, it was very clear what you were trying to, you know, what you were, what was happening there.

Speaker 0

那时候我就想,哎,这个设计真巧妙。

And I was, I was kind of like, oh, that's a cool link.

Speaker 0

我不确定如果教学更到位,或者玩家更有经验,会不会更容易感受到这一点。

So I don't know if that would get there if you were taught it better or if you were more experienced with it.

Speaker 0

克里斯,我来跟你讲讲我的真实感受。

Here's how it kind of felt to me, Chris.

Speaker 0

你还是应该找时间试试玩一玩这个游戏,因为从很多方面看,它让我想起了《Obsession》那种体验——它并不是一个特别深奥的游戏。

This is a game you maybe should still try to find and play because in a lot of ways, it reminded me of the experience of Obsession, which is that it's not a super deep game.

Speaker 0

很多事都是自然而然发生的,你不用太费劲。

A lot of it kind of happens to you.

Speaker 0

游戏里头,事情就这么发生了,你能看到几条明显的路,稍微一推,就能往前走。

The game, you know, things just kind of happen, and it's pretty clear the paths you can go down with a little bit of leverage to pull.

Speaker 0

但如果你真的喜欢这个主题,想感受那种童年回忆和情感,以及机制背后那些深层的联系,只要你愿意沉浸其中,我觉得你还是会玩得很开心。

But I think if you really are into the theme and want to experience that nostalgia and the emotions of growing up as a kid and all the thematic links that the mechanisms provide if you lean into it, I think you could still actually have a really fun time playing this.

Speaker 0

所以我不会劝你别试,这游戏确实很吸引人,尤其对特别钟爱这类体验的人来说。

So I wouldn't tell you not to try it because it was definitely fascinating and I think for somebody that really loves that.

Speaker 0

不过我想说,你知道,这种在展会上第一次接触游戏、被临时带着玩的感觉,真的很特别。

But I would say, know, mean, again, this was a weird, you know, learning a game at a con and being prepped to play it.

Speaker 0

这绝对是我最不喜欢的方式。

This is my least favorite way.

Speaker 0

我从来不想这样玩游戏,但这次正好给了我机会,也有一点时间去试试。

I like I never wanna do a game this way, but I was know, it gave me a chance to play and I had a little time to try that.

Speaker 0

如果你真的投入进去,我觉得这会是一段挺有意思的体验。

I think, it could be a fun experience if you're really leaning into that.

Speaker 0

别因为这些就避开它。

Don't don't stay away from it.

Speaker 0

值得一试。

It's worth trying trying out.

Speaker 0

这个游戏有几个挺酷的设计。

It has a couple of cool things going on.

Speaker 0

而且如果你熟悉了游戏,竞争可能会变得相当有意思,因为游戏里有合适的机制,让你在追求战略目标的同时,还能感受到主题氛围。

And I think could even get pretty interesting competitive when you know the game because there are the right levers in making decisions to try to to try to push towards the strategic goals in it and still get the thematic experience.

Speaker 1

不错。

Cool.

Speaker 2

蒂姆,你玩这个是两人局吗?

So you played this one at two players, Tim?

Speaker 0

是的,就两人玩的。

Yeah, just at two.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但我认为人数变化也不会带来太大影响。

But but I don't think it would have drastically mandated.

Speaker 0

在两人局里,游戏多了一个额外机制,虽然没增加什么负担,但相当于你身边多了一个虚拟玩家,可以模仿他的特点。

And in two players, they have one additional mechanism, which was not didn't really add any overhead, but it kind of treated as if you had another player at the table that you could mimic their traits.

Speaker 0

所以,你和桌边其他玩家互动的所有内容,或者那些有趣的部分,其实都还在进行。

So there was it was kind of like everything you would interact with the other players at the table kind of were still happening or the interesting things anyway.

Speaker 0

我觉得两人玩完全没问题。

So I think it was perfectly fine at two.

Speaker 0

要是三人玩,可能只是空等的时间更多一点,所以我不觉得两人玩有什么不好。

I think at three, it would just be more downtime more than anything else, so I wouldn't say that two is a bad bad way to go there.

Speaker 2

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

你提到一个挺有意思的观点,关于玩家如何学习游戏,以及这会影响实际游玩体验。

Think you bring up an interesting broader point about the way you learn a game and how that can affect the play.

Speaker 2

比如,我很好奇,如果我们提前准备,前一天先看个教学视频,把规则彻底搞清楚,等真正开玩时心里就有底了,那体验会不会完全不同?

Like, I I wonder how the different this would have been if you'd done, like, we prepped for games where you maybe watch a video the day before, proves the rule book and the ins and outs, and then you can you're sort of ready by the time we get going.

Speaker 2

所以我在想,学习游戏的方式,确实会影响第一次玩的体验。

So I wonder, you know, the way you learn a game, how that can affect the the first play.

Speaker 2

这个挺值得琢磨的。

That's interesting to think about.

Speaker 0

我确实觉得会影响,特别是这次,我教史蒂夫的时候甚至可能帮了倒忙,因为我记不清那些本该用上的专业术语,没法帮他理解游戏想传达的主题。

I definitely think it can, and I think here specifically, because I think I even did just a disservice to Steve when I was teaching him because I couldn't remember the names of all the terminology that I should have been using to help him understand what the game was telling him thematically.

Speaker 0

对史蒂夫来说,他可能只看到一堆轨道,而我没能把游戏的主题传递给他,因为我自己都没完全消化。我 definitely 认为,这种方式学游戏从来都不是好体验,这个游戏可能比其他游戏受的影响更大。

So to Steve, he probably just saw mostly a lot of tracks, you know, and and I didn't get to share the theme with him because I hadn't internalized So I definitely think that this was not a it's never a great experience to learn this way, and this game probably suffered a little bit more than other games would have.

Speaker 0

然后更多是

And then more of

Speaker 2

我想问个更大的问题,关于我在这期节目里的整体兴奋感。

a big picture question for my, level of excitement throughout this episode here.

Speaker 2

蒂姆,这次展会上你玩过非德式游戏吗?

Did you play any non euro games, Tim, at this convention?

Speaker 0

玩了几个。

A couple.

Speaker 0

玩了几个,但没玩多少。

A couple, but not a not a whole lot.

Speaker 0

大部分都是德式游戏。

It was a lot of euro games.

Speaker 2

天哪。

Oh boy.

Speaker 2

这下可有得我头疼了。

I'm gonna struggle here.

Speaker 2

来吧。

Here we go.

Speaker 0

亚当,我给你挑了几个你肯定会喜欢的,我保证,不过也不会太多。

I got a couple that will be exciting for you, Adam, I promise, but not too many.

Speaker 0

不过我会尽量快点过这些。

I'll try to move through these a little quicker, though.

Speaker 1

虽然《成年》可能属于德式游戏,但它可不是那种沉闷的德式游戏。

Although Coming of Age, even though Coming of Age may have been a euro, it is not a brown euro.

Speaker 0

没错,确实如此。

Yeah, that's true.

Speaker 0

色彩特别丰富。

Very colorful.

展开剩余字幕(还有 480 条)
Speaker 0

好了,我们继续。

All right, moving on.

Speaker 0

我提前知道要去BGG春季展,就在我们的播客里发了消息。

So I had set up when I knew that was going to BGG Spring, I put out the message on our podcast.

Speaker 0

结果真有一位我们的 Patreon 支持者联系了我,说很想和我们见一面。

And I did have one of our Patreon supporters reach out and say, I'd love to connect with you.

Speaker 0

所以我们提前约好了,他那边有个活动正好在六点半结束。

And so we kind of planned in advance, and he was finishing up some event right at 06:30.

Speaker 0

我们就定在六点半碰头。

So we agreed to meet at 06:30.

Speaker 0

那时候,史蒂夫和我刚玩完《成年礼》。

So Steve and I had just wrapped up Coming of Age about that time.

Speaker 0

于是我们找到乔尔,通过 Patreon 告诉他我们坐在哪儿。

And so we met up with Joel and messaged him through Patreon, let him know where we were sitting.

Speaker 0

他就走了过来。

So he walked over there.

Speaker 0

他想给我们介绍一款游戏,是我之前从来没听过的。

There was a game that he had wanted to introduce to us, a game that I had never heard of before.

Speaker 0

但他把游戏拿出来后,另一款他乐意分享的,也是他最爱、同时也是我最爱的游戏——《水下城市》。

But when he brought it to the table, the other game he had with him that he was happy to share was one of his favorite games and one of my favorite games, which is Underwater Cities.

Speaker 0

他还带了新的《数据时代》扩展包,我特别想试试,根本没法拒绝。

And he had the new Data Age expansion, which I was very excited to try and I couldn't resist.

Speaker 0

于是我直接说:不好意思,咱们先玩《水下城市》吧,我想看看这个《数据时代》扩展。

So I was like, I'm sorry, let's just play Underwater Cities and I want to check out the Data Age.

Speaker 0

那场游戏简直太棒了。

And this was fantastic.

Speaker 0

我就不细讲《水下城市》的机制了,以前我们聊过很多次。

I'm not going to go into the mechanisms at all of Underwater Cities because we've talked about it in the past.

Speaker 0

我们之前还做过完整评测。

We've done a full review on it.

Speaker 0

不过《数据时代》这个扩展,我简单提一句,真的非常出色。

But the Data Age expansion, will mention briefly that this expansion was amazing.

Speaker 0

它加入了一些非常棒的元素,让游戏变得灵活很多,但规则却没增加多少。

It adds some really, really cool things that give you a lot of flexibility in the game with very little rules overhead.

Speaker 0

新增了一种建筑类型,还多了一个你可以建造的城市形态。

It adds a new type of building and a new type of city that you can build.

Speaker 0

这些新内容主要围绕着数据中枢展开,作为你城市周边的一种建筑,它产出的资源是这些小数据盘。

They're mostly related to any of these data centers as one of the building types around your cities, and then the resource that that building creates are these little data disks.

Speaker 0

这些数据盘本质上是一种游戏资源,可以用来做各种事情。

And the data disks are basically a resource that you can use for things in the game.

Speaker 0

比如,你可以用半个数据盘进行交易。

One is you can trade in half a Data Disc.

Speaker 0

说来奇怪,这个游戏居然允许你使用半块资源。

Yeah, for some reason they allow you to use halves in this game.

Speaker 0

你可以在回合结束时用半个数据盘换两张新牌,这样下一轮的选择就更多了,这在《水下城市》里特别关键,因为你得凑齐和空位匹配的牌。

You can trade in half of a Data Disc to just draw two more cards at the end of your turn so that you've got more options on the next turn, which can be really important in Underwater Cities because you're trying to get cards that match up to the spaces you want.

Speaker 0

另外,根据你出的牌强度,你还可以用半块、一块甚至一块半的数据盘来触发额外行动。

But also, you can actually use half a full or one and a half data disks, depending on the strength of the card you're playing, to get a bonus action on your turn.

Speaker 0

这太棒了。

So that's awesome.

Speaker 0

只要你还有别的牌想打,就可以直接再出一张。

You can just basically play another card on your turn if you have another card you want to get played.

Speaker 0

这个设计真的很巧妙。

So that was really cool.

Speaker 0

另外,你还可以用半张数据盘来做资源转换。

There's also a way to use a half a data disk to do a resource conversion.

Speaker 0

这让整个游戏在应对这个有趣又烧脑的欧式谜题时,多了很多灵活的操作空间。

So it just gave a lot more flexibility with playing around the toughness of this very fun Euro puzzle.

Speaker 0

关于这个,我就说这么多。

That's all I'm going to say about it.

Speaker 0

它加入得非常自然,还带来了新建筑类型附带的其他有趣得分机制。

It adds in really easily, has some other cool scoring mechanisms that come with the new building types.

Speaker 0

我玩得特别开心。

I had a fantastic time.

Speaker 0

我肯定会入手这个扩展包。

I'm definitely picking this expansion up.

Speaker 0

如果你喜欢《水下城市》,我强烈推荐。

Highly recommend it if you're Underwater Cities fan.

Speaker 2

所以,蒂姆,你觉得这个扩展是不是补上了基础游戏的短板?

So would you say, Tim, this sort of fixes the base game?

Speaker 0

基础游戏根本不需要修补。

The base game did not need to be fixed.

Speaker 0

不,完全不需要。

No, absolutely not.

Speaker 0

如果你不喜欢《水下城市》,那就别浪费时间了。

You know, if you don't like Underwater Cities, don't bother.

Speaker 0

别浪费时间了。

Don't bother.

Speaker 0

它对你来说也不会有什么改变。

It's not gonna not gonna change anything for you.

Speaker 0

如果你喜欢《水下城市》,就别错过这个扩展。

If you love Underwater Cities, pick this one.

Speaker 2

我喜欢《水下城市》。

I like Underwater Cities.

Speaker 2

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 2

你最后没玩的那款游戏叫什么?

What was the other game that you ended up not playing?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

他推荐我们玩但我们没玩的另一款游戏叫《橙子与柠檬》。

The the other game that we didn't play that he was recommending we try is called Oranges and Lemons.

Speaker 0

我从来没听说过这款游戏。

I've never heard of this game.

Speaker 0

听说是一款经济类欧式游戏,好像还带点玩家互动机制。

It is apparently an economic euro of some type with, I think, Pie Player Interaction.

Speaker 0

他说这游戏有种老派欧式游戏的味道。

He said it feels like an older school Euro.

Speaker 0

我之前从来没听过这游戏。

I had not heard of it.

Speaker 0

我还是想试试,因为乔尔对它特别热情。

I'd still like to try it just because Joel was so enthusiastic about it.

Speaker 0

这周末和乔尔一起玩了其他几款游戏后,我发现我和他品味挺相近的,有不少共同喜欢的游戏。

It turns out that Joel and I have a lot of shared tastes after spending, several other games playing playing other games with him this weekend and some shared favorites.

Speaker 0

所以我现在真的很想试试《Oranges and Lemons》。

So I'm definitely interested in checking out Oranges and Lemons now.

Speaker 0

你们听说过这游戏吗?

Have you guys heard of that game?

Speaker 0

没听过。

Nope.

Speaker 0

没听过。

Nope.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

正好我们刚结束,正要把《水下城市》收起来。

Well, right as we're wrapping up, putting away Underwater Cities.

Speaker 0

顺便说一句,这是我打过最高分的一局,我赢了Joel,赢得很漂亮,这让我特别开心,毕竟他这周末其他几局的分数都说明他是个很强的玩家。

By the way, my best scoring game ever and I had a crushing victory on Underwater Cities against Joel, which I was happy about because he's clearly a very good player based on some of his other scores this weekend.

Speaker 0

这下可算赢了你,Joel。

Take that, Joel.

Speaker 0

又有一位听众路过来了。

Another listener stopped by.

Speaker 0

我本来没打算的,但Oliver刚好路过我们桌边。

I hadn't planned this, but Oliver stopped by our table.

Speaker 0

他说:‘Tim,我看见你在这儿了。’

He said, Tim, I saw you there.

Speaker 0

我就想过来打个招呼。

I just wanted to stop by.

Speaker 0

其实去年秋天我们在BGGCon的时候,他就跟我们打过招呼了。

He had actually said hi to us at BGGCon last fall when we were there.

Speaker 0

上次他只是路过打个招呼,这次又特意过来再问个好。

He said just kind of a stop by last time, but he just wanted to say hi again.

Speaker 0

我当时就说,太好了,Oliver。

And I was like, Great, Oliver.

Speaker 0

我还问他,这周末要不要一起玩几局游戏?

I was like, do you want to get some games in this weekend?

Speaker 0

于是我记下了他的电话,约好之后再碰面一起玩游戏。

So I took his phone number and we agreed to meet up later for games.

Speaker 0

接下来你们还会听到我多次提到Joel和Oliver,因为这整个周末我们跟他们玩了很多局。

So you're going hear me refer to Joel and Oliver again throughout the weekend because we ended up playing a lot of games with these guys.

Speaker 0

我就不多说了,反正我们一直保持联系,几乎整个周末都像四人小团体一样。

So I'm not even gonna bring it up again other than that we just stayed in touch and kind of it was a foursome almost the whole weekend.

Speaker 0

跟Joel和Oliver一起度过了非常愉快的时光。

Had a great time with Joel and Oliver.

Speaker 0

和他们一起玩真是太棒了,这次聚会的搭子真不错。

Fantastic people to hang out with, our con buddies this this time around.

Speaker 0

以后有机会我还愿意和他们一起玩。

And I'd be happy to play with them again in the future.

Speaker 1

你这是想把我和亚当替换成他们吗?

Are you trying to replace me and Adam on the show?

Speaker 1

蒂姆,你这是要干嘛?

Is this what's happening here, Tim?

Speaker 0

我只是需要几个备选而已。

You know, I just need some backups.

Speaker 0

绝对不是。

Absolutely not.

Speaker 0

不是,不是。

No, no.

Speaker 0

你们俩才是最好的。

You guys are the best.

Speaker 0

你们真是最棒的。

You guys are the best.

Speaker 0

不过,我们那时候已经结束了。

But, we did wrap up.

Speaker 0

那时候我们吃了晚饭,后来史蒂夫和我,因为时间不早了,我旅途奔波实在太累了。

At that point, we had some dinner and then Steve and I, it getting kind of late, I was exhausted from all the travel.

Speaker 0

刚结束一个出差,就直接赶到了达拉斯。

Had just come off a work trip and come straight to Dallas.

Speaker 0

所以我们决定玩个轻松点的两人游戏。

So we decided just to hit a lighter two player game.

Speaker 0

我在新游戏架上找到了《白城堡对战》,几周前我刚玩过一次,立刻爱上了《白城堡》的双人版。

And I found White Castle Duel on the new game shelves there, and I had a chance to play this just a couple weeks earlier and fell madly in love with two player version of The White Castle.

Speaker 0

我想简单聊一下这个游戏,因为这是我最近最印象深刻的作品之一。

I do want to talk about this briefly because this is one of my recent highlight games.

Speaker 0

《白城堡》原版是个很受欢迎的德式桌游,但我个人觉得其实挺平庸的。

And The White Castle, the original White Castle, is a very popular euro and I think it's very mediocre.

Speaker 0

我不太喜欢这个游戏。

I'm not a fan of that game.

Speaker 0

我以前简单提过它。

I've talked briefly about it in the past.

Speaker 0

我玩过好几次,它有两个特别出彩的地方,值得试试。

I've played it several times and it has two really cool things going on that are worth checking out.

Speaker 0

它的骰子选择机制很棒,而且每次开局的随机性都很强,让整个棋盘感觉都不一样。

It's got a great dice drafting mechanism and it's got some of the most intense variability and setup in a game that's going to make the board feel different every time.

Speaker 0

但要是玩起来不开心,谁还在乎这些呢?

But when the game's not fun, who cares?

Speaker 0

好吧。

Okay.

Speaker 0

几周前,我有个朋友约我玩双人游戏日,他带了《白城堡对战》。

So a friend of mine a couple weeks ago, we had a two player game day and he brought the White Castle Duel.

Speaker 0

他说:‘我带了这个。’

He's like, I brought this.

Speaker 0

你想试试吗?

Do you wanna try it?

Speaker 0

我当时说,我对这游戏一无所知。

I was like, I don't know anything about it.

Speaker 0

让我看看它是不是比我之前玩的那款更合我胃口。

Let let me see if it's better than the White Castle for me.

Speaker 0

结果发现这游戏真的特别棒。

And it turns out it's really, really cool.

Speaker 0

简单说一下,《白城对决》背景设定在封建时代的日本,你的目标是赢得天皇的青睐。

Really briefly, the White Castle is set in feudal Japan, and the idea is that you're essentially trying to gain favor with the emperor there.

Speaker 0

我不打算细讲所有机制,但这款游戏是双人对战,属于比较复杂的欧式游戏,一局大概四十分钟,非常出色。

I'm not gonna go into all the mechanisms, but on the White Castle Duel, the way this plays out, it's a two player head to head, fairly complex euro that plays in about forty minutes, which is really, really cool.

Speaker 0

它用了一种工人放置机制,玩家可以执行多种行动,其中有三个行动格子里放着卡牌,每次有人选择那个行动,卡牌就会被拿走。

It uses a kind of a worker placement mechanism, where there are a bunch of actions you can interact with, and three of those action spaces have cards in them, so every time somebody interacts with that space, the card gets removed.

Speaker 0

所以你能选择的行动选项一直在变化。

So it's constantly shifting action options that you have.

Speaker 0

游戏机制是这样的:你有三种颜色的工人——橙色、黑色和白色。

And the way it works, you basically have three color workers: orange, black, and white.

Speaker 0

游戏开始时,每种颜色你都有两个,而上半局会在你用完全部六个工人时结束。

And you have two of each of them at the start of the game, and the first half of the game is going to end when you place all six of those workers.

Speaker 0

游戏开始时,每个可选行动格之间都会放一个小标记,当你选择其中一个行动格时,能同时获得它两边相邻格子的效果。

But the way you place them is at the start of the game, each of the action spaces that are out there, that are available for you to interact with, there's a little token that's put in between every two spaces, and when you go to one of those spaces, you get the benefit of both things that are adjacent to that.

Speaker 0

其中一个可能是永久效果,比如去武士训练场;另一个可能是需要付费的卡牌,支付代价后获得效果,然后把这张卡加入你的领地。

And one of them might be a permanent effect, like go to the samurai training grounds, and one might be a card that you're gonna pay a cost for, get the benefit, and then take that card into your Tableau.

Speaker 0

有趣的是,棋盘上的标记只有橙、白、黑三种颜色,而你放置工人时,必须选择与标记颜色不同的工人。

And what's neat, the restriction here, is that the tokens that are on the board are either orange, white, or black, and when you place a worker, it has to be a different color than the one that's printed there.

Speaker 0

但当你把工人放上去后,你能获得的是你所放置工人颜色对应的收入加成。

But when you place it there, you get the income benefit of the color that you just placed on top of.

Speaker 0

游戏开始时,你的面板上每种颜色各有一个资源,但游戏中你可以通过某些行动,增加每种颜色的资源产出卡牌。

And on your board, at the start of the game, you have the three different colors represented with one resource each, but one of the actions you can take over the course of the game is to add additional cards that build up your income in each of these colors.

Speaker 0

你获取资源的主要方式,就是看你选择哪个行动格并覆盖它,从而获得该行对应的资源,这些资源会不断累积。

So the main way you're going to be getting resources is depending on which space you go to and cover up that space, you get that of row of resources and that builds up.

Speaker 0

但别人可以把他们的棋子放在你的棋子上面。

But then somebody else can place on top of your tokens.

Speaker 0

比如我放了一个橙色棋子,因为我是盖在黑色区域上的,那他们现在可以把白色棋子放上来,从而获得橙色区域的收益。

So like if I put my worker there and it was orange because I placed it on black, well they can now place a white token on top of that and they get the orange benefit.

Speaker 0

也就是说,我的棋子现在成了他们放上去的棋子所依赖的底牌。

So it's kind of like my worker now represents the token that they're placing on top of.

Speaker 0

这个过程会一直持续,直到双方都把各自的六个棋子全部放完。

And that's going to happen until both players have played all six of their tokens.

Speaker 0

然后游戏进入第二阶段,你要把棋子从棋盘上收回自己的版图。

And then the second half of the game is you start pulling those tokens back your board.

Speaker 0

每收回一种颜色的棋子,就会激活对应的那一行收益,获得旁边标注的两个资源或两个行动机会。

And whichever color you pull back, you trigger that income row and you get the two resources or the two actions that are printed around it.

Speaker 0

这是一款非常有趣的欧式游戏,机制不复杂,但很有意思。

It's just a super fun euro without going too deep in the mechanisms.

Speaker 0

你收集的这些卡牌,背面还有一种翻转机制,翻过来就能变成得分倍数。

These cards you're picking up, there's a way to flip them over and they turn into these scoring multipliers.

Speaker 0

整个游戏围绕三种不同的得分方式展开,你需要根据放在棋盘上的工人或标记来乘算其中一种得分。

And the whole game is about kind of three different scoring types that you can do, and you have to multiply one type based on either workers that you placed on the board or tokens you placed out on the board.

Speaker 0

实现这一点的方式有很多种。

And there's several different ways to interact with that.

Speaker 0

这个游戏的欧式机制非常精彩、有趣又富有变化,互动性很强——你会密切关注对手的动向,抢走他们的机会,阻止他们行动,所以你必须时刻留意对方在做什么。

Really, really cool, fun, interesting, dynamic euro mechanisms here with a lot of interaction, a lot of, you know, kind of like seeing what the other person wants to do and stealing it from them and, you know, blocking them from doing it, so you care what the other person's doing.

Speaker 0

这种你来我往的博弈,在欧式游戏中相当典型。

A lot of a of give and pull in a euro.

Speaker 0

这款游戏特别适合两人玩。

This game is great for a two player.

Speaker 0

这游戏是我这个周末在展台亲手买下来带回家的,就是想多玩几次。

This is the one game that I actually picked up at at the vendor hall this weekend to buy to bring home so I can play it more.

Speaker 0

我和史蒂夫玩的时候,我教了他规则,然后我们俩几乎同时说:再来一局吧。

And I and I when when Steve and I played it, I taught it to him and then we were both like, let's just run it back.

Speaker 0

我们连着打了好几局。

And we played it back to back.

Speaker 0

我说了,三十到四十分钟的游戏时间,但在这短短半小时里体验非常充实厚重。

Like I said, thirty to forty minutes of play, but a very heavy full experience in that thirty minutes.

Speaker 2

蒂姆,这听起来很棒。

Tim, that sounds great.

Speaker 2

原来的白城堡游戏没怎么吸引我。

The original White Castle never got me too excited.

Speaker 2

这个版本听起来太棒了。

This one sounds amazing.

Speaker 2

白城堡对战。

White Castle Duel.

Speaker 2

真想试试这个。

Love to try this one.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我还以为你喜欢原来的白城堡呢。

I, I thought you did like the original White Castle.

Speaker 1

也许我记错了,但我确实试过一次原版。

Maybe I'm remembering that wrong, but I, I actually tried it once, the original.

Speaker 1

当时我在BGG上和朋友一起玩,没完全搞懂规则,但我觉得这游戏还挺有意思的。

And, I was playing it on BGG with some friends, and I never really thoroughly learned the rules, but it actually seemed like a pretty entertaining game to me.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

还行吧。

It's it's okay.

Speaker 0

我的感觉就是,平平无奇。

I mean, I just to me, it's pretty middling.

Speaker 0

它根本不值得拥有这么高的热度。

It doesn't it doesn't deserve the amount of, excitement that it's got.

Speaker 0

现在它在BGG上还排在前一百名呢。

It's like it's sitting in the top 100 on BGG right now.

Speaker 0

也不是说它有多差。

Not to, you know, rule.

Speaker 0

如果有人特别喜欢这个游戏,那当然很好。

If if if somebody loves this game, that's awesome.

Speaker 0

这游戏体积小但内容丰富,Devere 做这类小游戏一向擅长这一点,我觉得挺棒的,但我觉得这游戏本身的机制其实没那么出彩。

It's a big game in a small box, which is one of the things that Devere does with these little games and I think that's cool, but I don't think that the Euro itself is that cool.

Speaker 0

我在里面做的那些事,从来都没觉得有多有趣。

What I'm doing in it never felt that fun to me.

Speaker 0

不过我觉得这个双人版本确实让人感觉特别刺激、好玩。

But I do feel like this dual version does feel really exciting and fun.

Speaker 0

我就不多说了,但原版里有几处设计总觉得有点仓促,没做完似的。

I won't go too deep, but there's a couple of things in the original one that always felt like it was a little half cooked.

Speaker 0

而这个版本几乎补上了那些短板,尽管它用的机制和原版很不一样。

And this one almost fixed those things, even though it's a very different set of mechanisms that you're playing with.

Speaker 0

但它确实沿用了原版的一些优点,而且我觉得这次做得更好。

But it does take advantage of some of the same things from the first game, and I thought it did it better on this one.

Speaker 0

我觉得你可能以为我喜欢这游戏,是因为我那天聊它的时候,刚好那周我第一次玩了两场骰子规划类游戏。

I think the reason you might have thought I liked it, Chris, was that the day I talked about it on the table, it happened to be I played two dice drafting games for the first time that week.

Speaker 0

一个是《White Castle》,那是当时的新热门游戏,另一个是《Pulsar 2849》,可能就是因为这个,我对《White Castle》提不起兴趣,毕竟《Pulsar 2849》作为骰子规划游戏要出色得多。

One was White Castle, which was the hot new game, and one was Pulsar twenty eight forty nine, which comp maybe that's why I don't even like the White Castle because Pulsar twenty eight forty nine is such a better game as a dice drafting game.

Speaker 0

所以我真正感到兴奋的是后者。

And so that was the one that I got really excited about.

Speaker 1

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 1

不过我也得说,新版的盒装封面设计得真差,旧版的反而好看多了。

Well, I will also note here that the box art sucks on the new one and it was really nice on the old one.

Speaker 0

你真这么觉得?

You think so?

Speaker 0

我以为新版的封面还行啊。

You were I thought the box art is fine on the new one.

Speaker 0

好吧。

But Okay.

Speaker 1

我特别喜欢那些小桥的设计。

And I love those little bridges.

Speaker 1

棋盘左侧那些小桥,是主游戏里的。

The little bridges on the left side of the board on the, the main game.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是原版游戏里的那些。

The bit the original game.

Speaker 1

这些都算吹毛求疵了,但我这个人本来就爱较真。

So those are nitpicky, but I'm a nitpicky kinda guy.

Speaker 0

那谁知道呢?

Well, who knows?

Speaker 0

我还是很乐意跟你们一起玩《White Castle》。

I still would not mind playing White Castle with you guys.

Speaker 0

这游戏三人玩,挺短的,属于轻度欧式游戏。

I think it's a three player, fairly short euro.

Speaker 0

挺想听听你们的评价,看看你们会不会有不一样的看法。

It'd be interesting to get your assessment on it and see if you guys bring some different thoughts to the table with it.

Speaker 0

但我得说,如果我们俩碰面了,我肯定会逼你玩这个游戏,真的特别棒。

But I will tell you that if we're ever together in person and it's two of us, I'm going be making you play this game because it's really, really cool.

Speaker 0

顺便说一下,这个游戏是Ezra C设计的。

By the way, that was designed by Ezra C.

Speaker 0

还有Shay S。

And Shay S.

Speaker 0

由Devere出版。

And published by Devere.

Speaker 0

从今往后,我会记得提一下设计师和出版方。

I'll try to remember to mention the designers and publishers from here on out.

Speaker 0

好了,接下来该玩下一款了。

Okay, next game we got to play.

Speaker 0

那天晚上,Joel提到他最喜欢的一款游戏叫SETI。

So that night, Joel had mentioned that one of his favorite games was SETI.

Speaker 0

我就说:‘哎,图书馆里有这游戏吗?’

And I was like, Hey, can see it in the library.

Speaker 0

我一直想再把这游戏拿出来玩一次,重新体验一下,看看是不是大家真的特别喜欢这个游戏。其实我当初玩的时候,有些地方不太合我胃口,所以没太上心。

And I've been wanting to get that back to the table just to revisit it, see if my it's just people love that game and I just found it you know, I had some some things that I didn't love about it in the first place, so it just didn't get me too excited.

Speaker 0

但我还是想,不如再试一次吧。

But I thought, let let me get it back to the table.

Speaker 0

那天晚上我睡前去图书馆借了游戏,第二天早上就发消息问乔尔和奥利弗:你们想不想玩SETI?

So I picked it up at the library that night before I went to bed and texted Joel and Oliver the next morning, Do you guys want to play SETI?

Speaker 0

因为有人能教我,帮我重新熟悉规则,他们全都答应了。

Because somebody's there to teach it to me, reteach it, and they were all in.

Speaker 0

第二天一早,我们四个人聚在一起,玩了《寻找地外文明》。

So the next morning, the four of us got together and played Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence.

Speaker 0

我们还用了《太空机构》扩展包,这个扩展特别棒,玩起来感觉就像《火星殖民》的序章。

We did play with the Space Agencies expansion, which is very, very good and it feels like Prelude in Terraforming Mars.

Speaker 0

它能让游戏开局更快,前期更有意思,加起来也很简单,还能带来一点玩家间的差异性。

It jumpstarts the game, makes the early turns more exciting, very easy to add to the game, a little player asymmetry.

Speaker 0

只要加上这个,整个体验就明显提升了一截。

Just add this in, it really just kind of elevated the experience a little bit.

Speaker 0

因为我们已经全面评测过这个游戏了,我就不细讲机制了,但我要说,我当初对《SETI》的一些不满到现在依然成立——那就是到了游戏后半段,最后两轮往往会拖得很长,因为可做的事情太多,基本上就是不断放标记来拿分。

Because we reviewed this fully, I'm not going to talk about the mechanisms, but I will tell you that some of my early complaints with SETI still stand, and that is that as you get to the last half of the game, the two last rounds can get very long because you have a lot of things you can do, and they tend to just be about placing tokens out to get points.

Speaker 0

这一点在这次玩的时候还是没变,说实话,到第四或第五轮的时候,我就觉得这局时间太长了。

And that still stood here, and I honestly felt like the game was running pretty long by the fourth or fifth round.

Speaker 0

那时候我已经盼着快点结束,这感觉和我第一次玩的时候一模一样。

Was kind of ready for it to be over, and I think that was my feelings in the first game.

Speaker 0

不过话说回来,这游戏确实有不少特别出彩的地方。

But that being said, this game has a lot of really cool stuff going on.

Speaker 0

所以我玩得还是挺开心的。

So I did have a fun time with it.

Speaker 0

我觉得第二次玩的时候更喜欢它了,我愿意再拿回来玩一次。

I think I liked it more on the second play, and I would like to go back to it.

Speaker 0

我的朋友马克刚买了这游戏,我已经准备好教他,再把这桌游搬出来玩一局。

My friend Mark just picked this up, and I'm ready to teach it to him and and get this back to the table again.

Speaker 0

总的来说,我对《SETI》的好感在慢慢增加,但还是觉得它不算完美——顺便说一句,这游戏摆在桌上真的特别漂亮。

So SETI's growing for me a little bit, but I still don't think it's like I think it's a production, by the way, beautiful on the table.

Speaker 0

桌面上的做工简直太棒了。

Absolutely amazing production on the table.

Speaker 0

卡牌玩法特别有趣。

Absolutely fun card play.

Speaker 0

游戏最出彩的地方就是这个很有意思的经济系统。

That's the best part of the game, a really interesting economy.

Speaker 0

玩家轮流时等待时间太长了,因为每个人出牌时都要做一大堆事情。

Very long downtime between turns because everybody is doing a lot of stuff on their turn.

Speaker 0

我觉得这游戏四个人玩最带感,因为桌面上的互动最多,但四人局等待时间也更久,桌上操作也更繁琐。

And I think this game is best at four players because that's where a lot of the interaction on the board happens, except that's more downtime at four players and a lot of fiddliness that's happening on the board and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

这游戏我今天真不知道该怎么说,因为我确实玩得挺开心,现在还想去再玩一次。

So this is a this is a rare game where didn't know how to talk about this today because I did enjoy it, and I wanna go back to it now.

Speaker 0

这游戏人数越多越有意思,但人数越多问题也越多,整体就卡在中间了,说实话,我有点犹豫要不要再拿起来玩。

It's it's it's like a game that's better at higher player count, but also worse at higher player count, makes it still kinda middling, like, you know, hard for me to want to go back to.

Speaker 0

但这确实是个很棒的游戏。

But it's a cool game.

Speaker 0

我觉得我还会再找机会多玩几次这个。

I I think, I think I'll I'll try to get this one played some more.

Speaker 2

我喜欢《SETI》的地方是那些卡牌,尤其是你做的硬核科学和探索,那部分我觉得特别有趣。但后来一碰到那些离谱的外星人内容,我就想,嘿,能不能多给我点科学和探索的卡?那才是我真正喜欢的部分。可一到后面,就像你说的,突然发现去搞个外星人就能拿25分,那边又一堆分,那边还有一堆,整个科学探索和太阳系探险的乐趣就全没了。

What I liked about SETI was the the cards, like the hard science that you're doing and the exploration, that was the fun part to me and then you get to the wacky alien stuff and you know I was just like, so give me more of those those cards and the hard science and the exploration that was I I really enjoyed that part about SETI and then it got to you like you said just oh I can go to this alien thing and get like 25 points here and bunch of points here and bunch of points there and then it lost all the fun of the hard science and exploration and going out to the solar system and doing the planets thing.

Speaker 0

我其实不讨厌外星人这部分,不过我们这次碰巧随机抽了两个扩展包里的外星人一起玩,我觉得这两个比基础版的外星人有趣多了。

I never minded the alien part, but I will say that the expansion, we happened to just randomly pull two expansion aliens to play with here, And I thought they were both more fun and interesting than the base game aliens.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Okay.

Speaker 0

对我来说,这也让游戏提升了一点,那些外星人带来的机制感觉像是一些很巧妙、很有意思的谜题,我们玩得挺投入的。

So to me, that also was a little elevated in that it felt like some really kinda clever and interesting fun puzzles that we were playing around with with those aliens.

Speaker 0

当它们出现、我弄明白该怎么用的时候,我就觉得,这设计真不错。

So when they came up and I learned what we got to do with them, I was like, that's cool.

Speaker 0

但最后,游戏的最后一轮基本就是忙着把token往板子上放,这儿拿三分,那儿拿四分。

But ultimately, you end up spending the last round of the game just trying to get tokens out on the board and getting three points here and four points there.

Speaker 0

这种重复感,确实有点乏味了。

And that that just gets a little a little redundant.

Speaker 0

不过说实话,我想试试两人玩的版本。

I wanna try this at two though, to be honest.

Speaker 0

虽然可能会少点互动,但我觉得节奏会更快,玩那些卡牌、完成小任务之类的也会更有趣。

Like, it might lose some of the interaction, but I think at least we'll go brisker, and then you get the fun of playing those cards and going for little missions and stuff like that that that could be fun to play with.

Speaker 1

蒂姆,我理解得对吗?如果你再玩一次SETI,你会要求加上那些提升游戏体验的太空机构?

Tim, am I reading you right then that if you were going to play SETI again, you would ask to play it with the space agencies that improve the game.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

当然。

Totally.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,它确实让游戏变好了,不算特别大,但有提升,而且加进去特别简单。

I mean, it it improved the game, not drastically, but a little bit, and it's really easy to add in.

Speaker 0

就像我从不打算在没有前奏的情况下玩《新恐怖:地盘》,哪怕是对新手,我也从不打算在没有太空机构的情况下玩SETI,只要它在那儿。

So just like I would never play Turf from New Horrors without Prelude even with new players, I would never play SETI without space agencies if it was there.

Speaker 0

但我也不是说,没有它,这游戏就不够好。

But I you know, I'm not saying that wasn't a, you know, a good enough game without it.

Speaker 0

所以,没错,经过这次桌面上的再玩一次,我觉得《SETI》在我心里稍微提升了一点,但离完美还差得远。

So, yeah, SETI, I think slightly elevated for me after this next play on the table, but not still not a perfect game.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

对了,我和史蒂夫刚好注意到,最近刚公布了肯纳游戏奖和年度游戏奖的提名名单。

Couple of the the so Steve and I, they they happen to have, by the way, the the Kenner Spiel and Spiel De Jaris award nominees that have just recently been announced.

Speaker 0

主办方为每款提名游戏都设了专门的桌位,你可以坐下来直接试玩。

They had some special tables, three for each of these games set up so that you could go and sit down and play these games.

Speaker 0

这挺棒的,因为今年有几款我特别喜欢的游戏都进了肯纳奖提名,比如《Bloodbath》和《Rebirth》。

And and that was cool because a couple of my favorite games were up there as Kennerspiel nominees this year, one being Bloodbath and one being Rebirth.

Speaker 0

这些游戏都摆出来了,而史蒂夫之前从来没玩过《Bloodbath》。

And, so those were set up and Steve had never played Bloodbath.

Speaker 0

玩完《SETI》之后,我和史蒂夫去吃了午饭,然后带他去试了《Bloodbath》,结果一玩就跟我预期的一样,直接上头了。

So after SETI, we Steve and I went and got some lunch and I brought him down to play Bloodbath and it hit like it always does.

Speaker 0

史蒂夫特别喜欢这款游戏。

Steve loved it.

Speaker 0

我们玩的时候,他点了一份。

He ordered it while we were sitting there playing it.

Speaker 0

我玩得特别开心。

I had a blast with it.

Speaker 0

过几周,有个听众会给我寄一本,他是本地人,说他其实没太喜欢。

I actually have a copy coming from a listener in a couple weeks that's local, and they're like, I didn't love it.

Speaker 0

我会把书带过来给你,所以我很快就能拿到手了。

I'll drop it off with you, so I'm gonna I'm gonna get this soon.

Speaker 0

我真等不及了,这游戏太棒了。

I I can't wait because this is a great game.

Speaker 2

说到儿童类游戏,你玩过《莫蒂、索蒂、魔法商店》吗?

On the Kinderspill subject, did you get to play Morty, Sorty, Magic Shop?

Speaker 0

没有。

No.

Speaker 0

那是 Spiel 奖的获奖作品之一,属于偏家庭向的轻度游戏。

And so that's the spiel one of the spiel winners, which is kind of the more family weight games.

Speaker 0

我根本没玩那些家庭向的游戏。

I I did not play any of those family weight games.

Speaker 0

我只玩了两个之前玩过的,一个是《月球殖民地血战》,这个我待会儿聊聊。

The only two I played were games that I already played, which was Moon Colony Bloodbath, and and I'll talk about a little bit.

Speaker 0

我们又玩了一次《重生》,这两款游戏都特别棒。

We did play Rebirth again, and those are both fantastic games.

Speaker 0

真的很喜欢。

Love them.

Speaker 0

依然很出色,都是优秀的提名作品。

Still great, both great nominees.

Speaker 0

希望它们当中能有一个胜出,不过别的我都没玩。

Hope either one of those wins, but didn't play the other ones.

Speaker 0

比如《温馨贴纸镇》,那里摆着一些贴纸的剪样,你可以假装往棋盘上贴贴纸。

Like Cozy Stickerville was there to play around with where they had like, you know, just cut outs of the stickers so you could pretend like you were putting stickers on the board.

Speaker 0

其实我对这个游戏还挺感兴趣的。

Actually kind of interested in the game.

Speaker 0

这只是一个轻松有趣的单人叙事游戏。

It's just a fun little solo storytelling game.

Speaker 0

价格也不贵。

It's not that expensive.

Speaker 0

我可能会买下来,玩上一局试试。

I might pick that up and just play through a session.

Speaker 0

说来奇怪,这游戏可能根本不适合我,但我就是对《Cozy Stickerville》特别感兴趣,真想尽快试试。

It's like, for some reason, it's probably not even a good fit for me, but for some reason, I'm just intrigued by Cozy Stickerville, I do wanna try that one soon.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

行了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

这周末有一件事特别有意思,当时我和史蒂夫在图书馆找东西,奥利弗又找上门来,顺口问我们:‘你们玩过《Encyclopedia》吗?’

So here's one of the most interesting, things I have to say about this weekend is that when Steve and I were back in the library looking for something, Oliver found us again and he happened to like, hey, have you played Encyclopedia?

Speaker 0

这游戏我好像听说过,但不太了解。

This is a game I think I heard about but don't know much about.

Speaker 0

他给我看了这个游戏。

He showed it to me.

Speaker 0

画面特别美,艺术风格很棒,玩法大概是那种《达尔文之旅》类型的游戏,你扮演科学家和探险家,去野外记录各种野生动物。

It's beautiful, really nice artwork, and it's about basically, you know, kind of a Darwin's Journey type of thing where you're you're scientists and discoverers, scientists and and, adventurers that are out there like cataloging wildlife.

Speaker 0

他说这游戏的骰子选择机制挺有意思的。

He's like, it's a cool dice drafting mechanism.

Speaker 0

你要是能教我规则,咱们就直接开玩吧。

If you can teach it to me, then let's just play it.

Speaker 0

我对这游戏一无所知。

I don't know anything about it.

Speaker 0

咱们干脆坐下来玩一局吧。

Let's just sit down and play it.

Speaker 0

所以整个

And so All

Speaker 2

我得说,只要一提到骰子选择,Tim就来劲了。

I have to say to Tim is dice drafting and then Tim's in.

Speaker 0

掷骰子选牌。

Dice drafting.

Speaker 0

这个玩法也挺有意思的。

Well, this one was kinda cool too.

Speaker 0

严格来说这不算掷骰子选牌。

It's not dice drafting exactly.

Speaker 0

每轮开始时大家先掷骰子,然后用自己掷出的点数,但别人也能抢走你的骰子。

This is more like where everybody rolls dice at the start of the round and then you can use your dice, but somebody else can take your dice from you.

Speaker 0

真正吸引人的就是这一点,也是这个游戏最出彩的地方。

And that's the thing that actually sounded cool, and that was the coolest thing about the game.

Speaker 0

问题是,这游戏别的地方都一点都不好玩。

The problem is nothing else about the game was fun.

Speaker 0

《百科全书》由埃里克·德博和奥利弗·梅利松设计,由Holy Grail Games发行。

So Encyclopedia was designed by Eric DeBoss and Oliver Melisson and published by Holy Grail Games.

Speaker 0

制作质量绝对精美,但平面设计和用户体验让游戏上手难度远超必要。

Absolutely beautiful production, except the graphic design and user experience really made the game harder to learn than it needs to be.

Speaker 0

主版图上有些地方对不同行动的说明不一致,明明做的事差不多,规则却写得模模糊糊,根本帮不上忙。

Like, there's some discrepancies on the main board about how different actions work even when they're it was when they kind of do the same things, but, you know, like it doesn't really help you get there.

Speaker 0

所以整个游戏感觉多此一举地复杂。

So that way, it felt unnecessarily complicated.

Speaker 0

这游戏一点意思都没有。

This game isn't very interesting.

Speaker 0

说白了,你就是从板子中间抽一些野生动物卡,然后用骰子做些操作,在卡上放标记,最后把这些卡交出去。

Essentially, what you're doing is you're trying to pull some wildlife cards out of a middle middle of a board, And then there's some actions you can take with dice to put tokens onto those cards and ultimately you turn those cards in.

Speaker 0

先是研究它们,然后像编百科全书一样把它们分类整理。

Guess, first you're researching them and then you're like cataloging them in an encyclopedia.

Speaker 0

交卡的时候,你还得想办法把有相同特征的卡凑成组合。

And then you turn those cards in and you try to combo a bunch of the cards with the same traits together.

Speaker 0

说实话,这游戏真的特别无聊。

Yeah, this was this was a very dull game.

Speaker 0

完全提不起兴趣。

It wasn't interesting at all.

Speaker 0

看着挺好看。

Pretty to look at.

Speaker 0

我一点都不奇怪没听说过这游戏。

I'm not surprised I haven't heard about it.

Speaker 0

我建议别浪费时间了。

I would recommend not to bother.

Speaker 0

别花时间玩《百科全书》了。

Don't waste your time with Encyclopedia.

Speaker 0

挺一般的。

It wasn't very good.

Speaker 2

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 2

《百科全书》我就不玩了。

Encyclopedia, I will pass.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

还有那个《达尔文之旅》,你也提到了一下。

And even with the Darwin's Journey, you know, kind of mentioned there.

Speaker 1

我想你意思是说,它和《达尔文之旅》有些相似的主题吧。

Well, I assume what you mean by that is it has some of the similar thematics to Darwin's Journey.

Speaker 0

完全不是那么回事。

Not similar to way.

Speaker 0

就这些。

That's all.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

是主题不一样。

It's the thematics.

Speaker 0

你是在记录动物,但这跟游戏玩法根本没关系。

You know, you're cataloging animals, you're sending them the the nothing at all like the gameplay.

Speaker 0

我之前说过,这游戏最接近《Trois》,感觉他们当初的初衷是有人提议:不如做个《Trois》的变体吧。

Like I said, closest to Trois, and it seemed like almost what they tried to do with this game was somebody said, let's make Trois and put a twist on it.

Speaker 0

他们确实加了点新花样,但问题是把这花样用在了一个本身就不咋地的游戏里,最后效果也没出来。

And they did put a twist on it, but then they put it on a bad game and the twist didn't quite pay off.

Speaker 0

我觉得真该有人拿这个机制再打磨一下,本来挺有潜力的,可惜没发挥出应有的趣味性。

Like they could I think somebody should take that and evolve the mechanism a little bit because that was had the promise of being cool, but it didn't quite work that that interestingly.

Speaker 0

简单说,游戏开始时,你从袋子里摸出四颗骰子,掷出来,然后分别放在自己棋盘上的四个指定位置。

Like, basically, what happened is you rolled four you grabbed four dice out of a bag and you roll them, and then you place them on these four spaces on your player board at the start of the game or at the start of the round.

Speaker 0

轮到你的时候,你可以选择拿走自己的一颗骰子,或者拿走别人的一颗。

And then you can either on your turn, you either take one of your dice or you take one from somebody else.

Speaker 0

不管谁的骰子放在哪个格子上,那个格子都会提供对应的特殊奖励。

And whichever space they had put that dice on, they get a different bonus printed on it.

Speaker 0

但说实话,这些奖励根本无关紧要。

But frankly, it never mattered.

Speaker 0

反正我需要哪颗骰子,就直接拿走哪颗。

Like, if I needed a dice, I would take it.

Speaker 0

我根本不在乎他们能拿到什么奖励。

I didn't care what bonus they were getting.

Speaker 0

所有奖励的价值都差不多。

They were all about equal in value.

Speaker 0

所以这个选择机制根本没什么意思。

So it just wasn't a very interesting decision space to play around with.

Speaker 0

所以我就在等那个。

So waiting for that.

Speaker 0

所以我在等

So waiting for

Speaker 2

那个第一个非德式游戏,蒂姆。

that first non euro, Tim.

Speaker 2

咱们再看看还有啥别的。

Let's, let's see what else goes.

Speaker 0

哦,我还想提一下另一款游戏,它让我想起的可能比《达尔文之旅》还要多,就是《物种起源》。

Oh, I did want to I did want to mention the one other game that it reminded me of probably more than Darwin's Journey was on the origin of species.

Speaker 0

还有那一个,因为主题差不多,但也一样无聊,我觉得《物种起源》比《百科全书》有意思多了。

And and and that one more because it was, like, the same type of theme, but also about as dull like, I think On the Origin of Species was a more interesting game than Encyclopedia.

Speaker 0

哇哦。

Wow.

Speaker 0

那是过去的事了。

That's a last in the past.

Speaker 0

不是那样的。

It was no.

Speaker 0

就是纯粹推来推去的方块而已。

It was like literally just some like cube pushing around.

Speaker 0

感觉特别枯燥,一点意思都没有。

It was it felt very, very dry like uninteresting.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

我们后来又打了一局四人版的《Lacrimosa》,就在乔尔和奥利弗去参加他们安排的活动之前。

So just a couple of quick so we got back to a four player game of Lacrimosa before these guys had before Joel and Oliver had to go some events they had planned.

Speaker 0

Lacrimosa 还是让我特别上头。

And Lacrimosa continues to hit for me.

Speaker 0

自从我们评测完之后,我已经玩了六七遍了。

I played it a half dozen times since we reviewed it.

Speaker 0

如果你对 Lacrimosa 感兴趣,这真是今年特别出色的一款游戏。

If you're interested in Lacrimosa, it's a very, very cool year.

Speaker 0

就算教了一遍规则,还有几个新手在场,一局也只要一个半小时左右。

Played in about an hour and a half even with the teach and a couple new players in there.

Speaker 0

节奏快,玩起来特别过瘾。

Goes quick and really great time playing Lacrimosa.

Speaker 0

所以设计师是杰拉德·阿森齐和费兰·雷纳利乌斯,发行方是 Devere。

So definitely, Gerard Asenzi, Ferran Renalius, and published by Devere.

Speaker 0

这个周末 Devere 出的几款游戏,我都挺喜欢的。

Devere had a couple of good hits for me this weekend.

Speaker 0

那两人去参加活动了,剩下我和史蒂夫又打了几场双人局。

So those guys went to events, and Steve and I had time for another couple more two player games.

Speaker 0

我们走到图书馆,他问我:你听说过那个叫Vantage的游戏吗?

We walked to the library and he's like, what have you heard of this Vantage game?

Speaker 0

我们要不要试试看?

Should we check that out?

Speaker 0

我说:我觉得你一定会喜欢Vantage。

I was like, I think you would love Vantage.

Speaker 0

我坐下来只看了五分钟。

So I sat down five minutes.

Speaker 0

讲解完、摆好棋盘,我们马上就开玩了。

We were up and playing after the teach and the setup.

Speaker 0

这游戏 setup 快得惊人。

It goes it sets up so quickly.

Speaker 0

Steve 特别喜欢。

And Steve loved it.

Speaker 0

喜欢到简直没法说。

Loved it so much in fact.

Speaker 0

我就不多说Vantage了。

I I won't say a lot more about Vantage.

Speaker 0

你想了解更多玩法的话,可以去听我们的政府营那一期。

You can go listen to our government camp episode if you wanna hear a little bit more about how Vantage plays.

Speaker 0

Steve太喜欢了,第二天早上我一醒,他就已经离开酒店房间了。

Steve loved it so much that the next morning when I woke up, he was out of the hotel room.

Speaker 0

这可不太像我弟弟的风格。

And this is unusual for my brother.

Speaker 0

他平时总是睡得比较晚的那个。

He's usually like the one that sleeps in a little bit later.

Speaker 0

他晚上都熬得很晚。

He's up late.

Speaker 0

明白吧?

Know?

Speaker 0

我走下楼去。

I walked downstairs.

Speaker 0

他跑去图书馆,又借了Vantage,一个人玩了起来。

He had gone to the library, gotten Vantage again, and played a solo was playing a solo game.

Speaker 0

第二天早上,乔尔和奥利弗碰见他时,他跟他们说:嘿,伙计们。

And then when they when Joel and Oliver ran across him in the morning, he's like, hey, guys.

Speaker 0

我重置一下。

I'll reset.

Speaker 0

咱们坐下来玩一局吧。

Let's sit down and play.

Speaker 0

我早上下来的时候,他正在教他们玩Vantage。

So he's teaching them Vantage when I get down in the morning.

Speaker 0

这游戏对史蒂夫来说简直太对胃口了。

So huge hit for Steve.

Speaker 0

他一直在念叨个不停。

He couldn't stop talking about it.

Speaker 0

如果你喜欢那种探索型、讲故事风格的角色扮演游戏,史蒂夫简直被它彻底征服了。

If you like exploration kind of role playing, like storytelling style games, Steve was blown away by it.

Speaker 0

如果你喜欢这种类型,真该去试试Vantage。

That if that's your thing, go check out Vantage.

Speaker 0

这显然不是克里斯和亚当斯的菜。

It clearly wasn't Chris and Adams' thing.

Speaker 0

他们对Vantage也没那么感兴趣。

They weren't quite quite such fans of Vantage.

Speaker 0

说实话,我也提不起劲。

And frankly, I'm not either.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,这本来就不是我喜欢的类型。

I mean, just because that's not my thing.

Speaker 0

说实话,游戏机制我倒是欣赏,但玩着玩着我就想,咱们能不能再打一局竞争性的欧洲风游戏?

Like, the know, I like the mechanisms of it, but we're sitting there playing through it, and I'm just like, can we just play competitive Euro again?

Speaker 0

我就想回到点更有意思的东西上。

I just wanna get back to something interesting.

Speaker 2

我觉得我以前说过这话。

I think I've said this before.

Speaker 2

我倒希望玩家之间能有更多互动,不只是简单地把对方的骰子放到自己板子上这类操作。

I wish there was some tie in more between the players playing the game other than, oh, I can I can put one of your dice on my board or something like that?

Speaker 2

我希望能有更多交叉的路径,但好像从来都没实现过,我不确定在《Vantage》里会不会有。

I wish there was more intersecting pathways and but it just never happened and I'm not sure if it ever does in Vantage.

Speaker 0

这种情况挺少见的,我觉得。

It's rare, I think.

Speaker 0

其实没什么真正的联动。

It doesn't really.

Speaker 0

大家基本上都是在玩自己的那一套。

You're kind of all playing your separate experience.

Speaker 0

不过玩起来还挺有意思的。

But it's fun.

Speaker 0

嗯,还是有一些叙事元素的。

Know, there's some storytelling.

Speaker 0

这得看你玩之前抱的是什么心态。

It depends on your mindset going into this type of game.

Speaker 0

你想啊,要是你真喜欢这种故事体验,那我们仨坐一块儿玩《龙与地下城》也不会觉得有趣。

Think if you love the story like like, listen, we would not have fun the three of us sitting down and playing Dungeons and Dragons together.

Speaker 0

一个人编故事,其他人跟着发挥创意——我知道有人特别爱这个,但也有人根本不在意,我觉得我们对这类游戏的态度就是这样:这根本不是我们觉得好玩的地方。

One of us making up a story and, you know, trying to be creative with I know people some people love that and some people just don't care about it and that's kind of I think how we fit on that on that type of game is just like, you know, that's not what's fun about gaming for us.

Speaker 0

所以嘛,行吧。

So alright.

Speaker 0

后来我教过史蒂夫·福马吉奥玩。

And then I taught Steve Formaggio.

Speaker 0

你们玩过福马吉奥吗?

Have I have you guys played Formaggio?

Speaker 0

这个是福马吉奥的续作。

This is the the follow-up to Formaggio.

Speaker 0

嗯,知道了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

我简单提一句,我们连着玩了两遍,这游戏是他还没玩完就又下单买的,因为他实在太喜欢了。

I'll really quickly mention, we played this twice back to back and this was another game I think he ordered before he finished because he loved it.

Speaker 0

你们都知道Formaggio怎么玩。

You guys know how Formaggio plays.

Speaker 0

我们在这档节目里聊过。

We've talked about it on the show.

Speaker 0

我们还专门做了一期专题介绍。

We did a feature episode of it.

Speaker 0

Formaggio玩法完全一样,只是新增了四个小游戏。

Formaggio is the exact same game, except that they have four new mini games in it.

Speaker 0

那晚之后,这应该是我第四次玩Formaggio了。

And now this was my, I think, fourth play of Formaggio after that night.

Speaker 0

真的很棒。

And, it's great.

Speaker 0

新添的小游戏比原来的还有趣。

The new mini games are even more interesting than the first ones.

Speaker 0

可以自由搭配使用。

You can mix and match them.

Speaker 0

我打算买下《Formaggio Stone》,直接和我的基础版混着玩,这样就能自由搭配各种小游戏了。

I plan to pick up Formaggio Stone and just mix it into my base game so I can just mix and match the mini games.

Speaker 0

那些可以建造和抢夺的结构板块,现在每个都有更独特的效果。

A whole bunch of the structure tiles that you can build and draft are, all much more unique effects.

Speaker 0

就是特别有意思。

So it's just fun.

Speaker 0

我一直在跟人推荐,如果你和不太 hardcore 的玩家一起玩,又只想买一套,直接选《Formaggio》就对了。

I've I've been telling people if you are playing with more casual gamers and you just want one copy, just pick up Formaggio.

Speaker 0

整体上更简洁、更直接一点,这么说吧。

So just a little bit more straight streamlined or straightforward, I guess.

Speaker 0

《Formaggio》里头的策略更深,选择也更考验人。

Formaggio is a little bit more game going in there, some more challenging choices.

Speaker 0

对我来说,两个里头我更偏爱《Formaggio》,但我也特别开心能有这么多组合,随便搭配着玩都行。

So for me, Formaggio is Formaggio is my preference between the two, but I'm just excited to have the variety mix them together and just play them together.

Speaker 2

我很喜欢他们设计成这种可以自由混搭的模式。

I like that they made that mix and match here.

Speaker 2

这挺有意思的。

That's pretty neat.

Speaker 1

是的,蒂姆。

Yeah, Tim.

Speaker 1

这让我想起我们上周聊过的那些游戏,就是那种基础版之类的。

This this reminds me of the conversation that we had last week about games, the essential editions, so to speak.

Speaker 1

对我来说,这个感觉就像……我不太想说它是基础版,因为我知道它其实不是,但本质上就是同一个游戏。

And this one to me just sort of kind of feels like I don't wanna say exactly an essential edition because I know that's not what it is, but it it's the same game.

Speaker 1

你不会两个都买,我猜他们做这个版本,是觉得原版里还缺了点什么,得补上。

It's not you're not gonna own both of them, and I'm assuming that they did this one because they felt like there was something that they had to add to the puzzle.

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 0

不是。

Nope.

Speaker 0

完全不是。

Not at all.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

他们管这个叫独立扩展包,意思是你可以单独买任何一个,分开玩,两个都正常运行。

This is what they're calling a standalone expansion, which is you can buy either one and play them separately and they both work fine.

Speaker 0

我觉得它是个很棒的扩展内容。

I'm thinking of it as a great expansion.

Speaker 0

它增加了多样性,因为你能把所有新板块——比如Formaggio里的新组件和新小游戏——直接和原版游戏混搭使用。

It adds variety because you can just take all the new tile, like the new components, the new mini games from Formaggio and just mix and match them with the original game.

Speaker 0

所以它就是一个扩展包。

So it's just an expansion.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这太棒了。

It's it's awesome.

Speaker 1

这比那个好多了。

That's better than

Speaker 0

那个。

that.

Speaker 0

这太棒了。

It's awesome.

Speaker 0

单独玩任何一个都没问题,但它们并不能互相替代。

Either one is fine as a standalone, but they don't it doesn't replace the other one.

Speaker 0

我觉得这两款游戏各自都特别出色。

I think they're both fantastic games on their own.

Speaker 0

如果你喜欢其中一款,那你也会喜欢另一款。

If you if you like one, you like the other.

Speaker 0

如果你不喜欢其中一款,那另一款你也大概率不会喜欢。

If you don't like one, you're not gonna like the other.

Speaker 0

很可能,它们非常相似。

Most likely, they're they're pretty similar.

Speaker 0

新游戏真的特别有创意。

The new games are just really clever.

Speaker 0

比如这个游戏里有一个小游戏,像是个酒窖之类的。

Like, one of the mini games in this one is a, it's like a wine cellar or something like that.

Speaker 0

当你把奶酪放进去时,游戏开始时会铺好一堆纸板片,上面是各种葡萄酒瓶、半瓶酒,或者半资源的组合。

So when you place a cheese there, you get there's a bunch of cardboard shits that are laid out at the start of the game, and they're little combinations of wine bottles or half wine bottles or half resources, etcetera.

Speaker 0

每次你把奶酪放到那个区域,就拿一张这样的小牌;下次再回到这里时,再拿一张,必须跟之前放的那张拼接起来。

And so each time you put a cheese in that section, you take one of these little tiles, and then the next time you go there, you take another tile and you have to match it up next to the tile you place there.

Speaker 0

游戏结束时,你会根据完成的完整酒瓶数量来计分。

At the end of the game, you score the most point or you score points based on the number of completed wine bottles you filled in.

Speaker 0

比如说,如果我回头再看到一个半红葡萄酒、中间是整瓶白葡萄酒、右边是半资源的组合,正好能和我这边的布局完美衔接,就能触发额外奖励。

So it's just a fun little puzzle of, like, if I get back around there and that one with the half red wine bottle, a full white in the middle, and a half a resource on the right side, that matches perfectly with tableau I'm building here, and then I get to trigger this bonus.

Speaker 0

这种设计真的很有趣。

You know, it's just it's cool.

Speaker 0

这些小游戏稍微复杂一点,但都挺有意思的。

It's a little, you know, kind of more complex mini games, but but all fun.

Speaker 1

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 1

所以它并不是替代

So it doesn't replace

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

Formaggio。

Formaggio.

Speaker 1

你可能会两个都买。

You might buy both

Speaker 0

两者都买。

of them.

Speaker 0

我肯定要买Formaggio。

I I'm planning to buy Formaggio for sure.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

而且也不是说,我就非得挑一个来玩。

And then again, not as just like, hey, I'm gonna play one or the other.

Speaker 0

对我来说,这更像是一个扩展内容。

It's like, this is an expansion for me.

Speaker 0

但如果你只想从意大利版开始,而且喜欢稍微复杂一点的机制,Formaggio 是个不错的入门选择。

But if you just wanna start with the Italian version with a little bit more complex mechanisms, Formaggio is a good place to start.

Speaker 0

不过呢,两个都挺棒的。

But, you know, either one is great.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

之前我说过,Steve 那天早上在教大家玩 Vantage,我那时候就想,反正我有空,不如趁机把另一个新游戏摆出来学一学,等他们玩完 Vantage,我就能教他们了。

So the next, game that we played after I said that Steve was teaching Vantage when we got down that morning, I was like, well, I got time to set up and learn another new game so that I can teach these guys when he get when they get done with Vantage.

Speaker 0

我一直特别想试试 Everdell 的新版本。

And I have been dying to try one of the new Everdell variants.

Speaker 0

去年在BGG大会的时候,你们跟我一起玩过《Everdell:远岸》。

You guys played Everdell far shore with me when we were in BGGCon last year.

Speaker 0

这个游戏有一些挺不错的改进。

Some nice little evolutions to the game.

Speaker 0

这是《Everdell:银霜》,大概半年前就推出了。

This is Everdell Silverfrost, which is one that, has been available for about six months or so.

Speaker 0

还有个更新的版本我还没玩过,但银霜这个版本我特别期待,因为它在《Everdell》基础上加了更复杂一点的机制。

There's another newer one that I haven't played yet, but Silverfrost is one I was really excited about because Everdell: Silverfrost is supposed to be another version of Everdell with slightly more complex mechanisms.

Speaker 0

它加入了一些新元素,让游戏变得更像一款重策略的欧式游戏。

So it added some things that made it more of a, like, a heavier euro.

Speaker 0

兄弟们,这游戏真的太棒了。

And guys, this was so awesome.

Speaker 0

它完全超出了我的预期,我都觉得丹妮尔可能不会喜欢这个版本,毕竟太复杂了。

It beat my expectations to the point where I know that Danielle probably won't prefer this version because it is more complex.

Speaker 0

所以我还是会留着原版《Everdell》,丹尼尔更爱玩那个。

And so I will keep Everdell because Daniel will play that.

Speaker 0

我大概会买《Everdell: Silverfrost》。

I'm probably gonna buy Everdell: Silverfrost.

Speaker 0

简单说一下几个机制,虽然玩法几乎一样,但改了几个特别棒的地方。

Just really quickly, couple mechanisms, because it has almost the same exact gameplay, but there's just a couple mechanisms they changed that were really cool.

Speaker 0

其中一个设定是,故事背景设定在寒冬将至,靠近雪山,天气会变得非常严酷。

One is that they add this is supposed to be set in, like, you're coming up to a rough winter close to the peaks and snow you know, like, it's it's gonna be a harsh winter.

Speaker 0

随着季节更替,一些随机卡牌会把雪分布到工人放置区的几个位置,挡住板子上的某些格子。

So what happens as you pass through seasons is snow starts to get distributed by some random cards across some of the worker placement spots and kind of blocks out the spots on the board.

Speaker 0

同时,你的城市卡上也会积雪。

And then snow also gets put on your own city's cards.

Speaker 0

一旦你的卡上有雪,它的效果就失效了。

And when there's snow on one of your cards in your city, its effects no longer apply.

Speaker 0

游戏结束时,这张卡不能算分。

You will not score it at the end of the game.

Speaker 0

也不能用来完成目标得分之类的。

You can't count it as a objective scoring or anything like that.

Speaker 0

所以你得想办法清除积雪,方法就是收集这种火焰资源。

So you have to find ways to clear the snow, and you do that by picking up this flame resource.

Speaker 0

这又多了一个机制,让你得更主动地管理游戏,灵活应对各种系统互动。

And so it's just one more mechanism that they added in that makes you kind of, like, manage the game and have to play around with the systems.

Speaker 0

另外他们还给其中一个工人配了雪鞋,你知道的,你整个游戏里会陆续获得六个动物棋子,其中一个会带上雪鞋。

And then another thing they did is they gave one of your workers, you know, you got the six animal meeples that you'll gain throughout the course of the game, one of them gets snowshoes on it.

Speaker 0

带雪鞋的这个棋子就是你的巡林员。

And the snowshoe meeple is your ranger.

Speaker 0

巡林员有两个特殊能力。

And the ranger has two effects they can do.

Speaker 0

一个是它可以和普通棋子一起去被积雪覆盖的地点,这样你就不会被堵住。

One is that they can go into this place with a non ranger meeple so you don't get blocked out of that space.

Speaker 0

但如果你把它放到一个空着的地点,就能获得一个火焰标记。

But alternatively, if you use them on a space that's empty, you get a flame token.

Speaker 0

虽然还有别的方法能拿到火焰标记,但你得玩得特别谨慎,一边努力搭建自己的牌组,一边还得想办法把积雪清掉。

There's some other ways to get flame tokens, but you gotta play this, like, really challenging game to try to remove the fire as you're trying to build out your tableau.

Speaker 0

特别有趣。

Super fun.

Speaker 0

在原版《Everdell》里还有一个特别棒的机制——你周围那些基础的工人放置点之外,还有几个森林地点,游戏开始时会摆好三到四个特殊位置供你选择。

One other really cool mechanism they had in the original Everdell, know, you had the basic worker placement spots around the board, but then they had those forest locations which were kind of the same at the start of the game, you'd set it up and there were three or four special locations that you could go to.

Speaker 0

这款游戏没用App,而是用了几张大型生物卡和四个可前往的地点。

Instead of using the app this game, they had these large critter cards and four spaces that you could go to.

Speaker 0

每次去这些地点都要消耗一个火焰,但一共有四张卡组成一个牌阵,每张都有独特的效果。

You had to spend a flame when you go to one of those spaces, but there's four cards in a tableau and they all have like a special effect on them.

Speaker 0

这有点像森林地点那种特殊工人放置效果,但变化多得多。

It's it's kind of like one of the forest locations, like a special work replacement effect, but much more varied.

Speaker 0

你用完之后,那个效果触发,卡片就会被移走,然后换上一张新的。

But when you used it, you got the effect and then that card goes away and then a new card comes out.

Speaker 0

所以你随时都能通过这些大型生物卡,获得不断变化的行动选择。

So you had this constantly rotating options for actions you could take by interacting with these large critters.

Speaker 0

不再是原版《Everdell》里的那棵大树,这次换成了一个巨大的山峰,摆在棋盘后方。

Instead of the big tree from the original Everdell, they have a big mountain that sits behind the board.

Speaker 0

这座山上还有一些地方可以放置这些大型动物。

And on that mountain are places for these large animals.

Speaker 0

山顶上则是你存放雪资源的地方。

And then up in the top of the mountain is where your snow resources go.

Speaker 0

山顶上还有几个小堡垒,你可以把工人放在那里来激活这些功能。

And then on the top are these little forts that you can put your workers to activate those things.

Speaker 0

这确实是个有实际功能的部件,虽然体积大、操作起来有点笨重,和原来的树一样不太方便。

So this was actually a functional piece, still big and clunky and a little hard to work around, as bad as the tree.

Speaker 0

但我真的很喜欢,摆在桌上特别好看。

I loved it though, it looked awesome on the table.

Speaker 0

我们四个人玩的时候用起来还行。

It was fine for us to play around as a four player game.

Speaker 0

不过盒子里还附带了一个小板子,可以放在旁边,功能完全一样。

But they also in the in the box, they have a little board that you can just put to the side that does the same thing.

Speaker 0

如果你不想用这个大型场景道具——虽然它看起来美极了,那你得看看我在BlueSky上发的那张图。

So if you don't want the big scenery in the game, which looked absolutely beautiful, you gotta take a take a look at the picture I posted on BlueSky of this.

Speaker 0

这可能是我整个周末玩过的所有游戏中,桌面上最出彩的一款。

This is this had the coolest table presence of any game I played all weekend.

Speaker 0

不过说实话,我本来就特别喜欢《Everdell》。

But, yeah, basically, you know, I'm a fan of Everdell.

Speaker 0

《Everdell:Silverfrost》更有趣一些,但确实也更复杂了。

Everdell: Silverfrost was an even more interesting version, but certainly a little bit more complex.

Speaker 0

所以我可能会因为太喜欢它而干脆买下来。

So I this may be where I do buy this as just because I loved it so much.

Speaker 0

我不确定什么时候能有空玩,但我真的超爱《Everdell Silverfrost》。

I don't know when I'm gonna get it played, but I loved Everdell Silverfrost.

Speaker 0

这是对整个系列的一次绝妙延伸。

Fantastic variation on the on the series.

Speaker 2

这里的美术设计和小配件看起来都太棒了。

Production artwork and little components again look dynamite here in Yeah.

Speaker 2

无论是《Silverdale》还是《Everdell Silverfrost》。

Silverdale or Everdell Silverfrost.
