Speaker 0

你好,Lindsay。

Hello, Lindsay.

Speaker 0

你最近怎么样?

How are you?

Speaker 1

嘿,Aubrey。

Hey, Aubrey.

Speaker 1

我挺好的。

I'm doing good.

Speaker 1

你好吗?

How are you?

Speaker 1

最近怎么样?

How's it going?

Speaker 0

非常好。

Excellent.

Speaker 0

问你个问题。

Question for you.

Speaker 0

好。

Yes.

Speaker 0

你最后一次帮别人忙是什么时候?

When was the last time you did someone a favor?

Speaker 1

哦,好问题。

Oh, good question.

Speaker 1

哦,前几天我去帮邻居浇花了。

Oh, I went over and helped water my neighbor's plants the other day.

Speaker 1

周末的时候我过去帮她喂了猫,因为她没打算找人上门。

Over the weekend went over fed her cats for her because she hadn't planned to have someone come in.

Speaker 0

对,她是出去度假了吗?

Yeah, or is she like out of town for vacation?

Speaker 0

我很喜欢你们有这样的关系,能互相帮忙做这种事。

I love that you have that kind of relationship where you could help out for something like that.

Speaker 1

是的,当然。

Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,这正是让我们住得开心的原因。

I mean that's what makes us feel happy where we live.

Speaker 1

我们感觉和社区有联系。

We feel connected to our community.

Speaker 1

这很重要。

It's a big deal.

Speaker 0

我同意。

I agree.

Speaker 0

确实,而且你也希望有人能帮你个忙。今天我们聊聊当别人请你帮忙时,你可以怎么回应。

Absolutely and you want to be able to have someone to ask a favor of and today we're talking about the different ways we can respond when someone asks us to do a favor.

Speaker 0

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

不过我们先简单说说为什么这件事很重要。

But let's first briefly talk about why this matters.

Speaker 0

因为如果你帮同事一个忙,这能积累很多好感。

Because if you do a favor for a coworker, this can build a lot of goodwill.

Speaker 0

还能增进彼此的联系。

It could build the connection.

Speaker 0

但如果你不情愿地帮忙,那这些好感就全没了。

But if you do a favor begrudgingly, you could lose all of that.

Speaker 0

你可能还是帮了忙,但好感一点也没建立起来。

You might still do the favor but not build any goodwill.

Speaker 1

没错,所以你是做了事,但关系却没因此变好。

Right, so you're doing the work but then it doesn't build the relationship.

Speaker 1

所以,当别人请你帮忙时,你的回应方式确实很重要。

So it does matter how we respond when someone asks us for that favor.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

注意这两者的区别。

Note the difference in these two.

Speaker 0

我们先来看看不该怎么做,对吧?

We're first going to kind of share what not to do, right?

Speaker 0

如果我问你,Lindsay,你能帮我个忙吗?

If I ask you, Lindsay, could you do me a favor?

Speaker 0

大概可以吧。

I guess.

Speaker 0

哎呀,真伤人。

Ouch.

Speaker 0

或者更好一点,你能帮我个忙吗?

Or better, could you do me a favor?

Speaker 1

好的,我很乐意。

Yeah, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

这差别多大啊,你想跟谁聊都行。

What a difference do you want to talk to anyway.

Speaker 0

你想跟哪个人

Which person do

Speaker 1

交朋友、谈恋爱,或者建立工作关系,对吧?

want to be friends with or have a relationship or work relationship with, right?

Speaker 0

当然。

Definitely.

Speaker 0

尤其让我觉得有意思的是,如果你反正都要帮忙,但却是心不甘情不愿地做,让对方觉得愧疚,

Especially this is always fascinating to me because if you're going to do the favor anyway, but then you are doing it begrudgingly making the other person feel guilty,

Speaker 1

那你

you are

Speaker 0

就失去了你们之间可能建立起来的所有好感。

losing all of the good feelings that might have been built between you two.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

那是不是有人在问答环节问过这个问题?

So did someone ask about this at Q and A?

Speaker 1

我们每周都有

We have our weekly

Speaker 0

是的,我和林赛分享过这个。

Yes, Q and I was sharing this with Lindsay.

Speaker 0

有人问,比如在工作中,什么时候我会说‘我很乐意做这件事’?

Someone asked you know, when at work would I say I would be happy to do that?

Speaker 0

他们问得比较笼统,但我们马上就开始想工作中的情况,因为工作中经常有人请你帮忙,给你分配项目、分配任务,也会请你帮忙。

They were kind of asking in general but we immediately started thinking about this at work because this is where you're often asked, you know, your assigned projects, your assigned tasks, you're also asked favors.

Speaker 0

有时候很难判断,在接受做某件事时,应该表现出多大的热情。

And it's tricky sometimes to know how enthusiastic to be about It accepting to do

Speaker 1

确实很难。

is really tricky.

Speaker 1

这正是我们今天要讨论的内容。

That's exactly what we're going to get into today.

Speaker 1

对了,Aubrey,我们刚才提到了问答环节。

But Aubrey, by the way, we mentioned Q and A.

Speaker 1

谁可以参加问答环节?

Who gets to go to Q and A?

Speaker 1

问答环节是什么?

What is Q and A?

Speaker 0

对,这是指我们任何课程中个人教练级别的学生。

Yeah, this is students in the personal coach level of any of our courses.

Speaker 0

所以,如果你是个人教练的学生,你会在课程中的所有作业上收到老师的反馈。

So, if you're a personal coach student, you receive teacher feedback for all of your assignments in your course.

Speaker 0

你还会被邀请参加这个每周的问答环节,这些环节非常有趣。

You also are invited to this weekly Q and A which they are super fun.

Speaker 0

我每周都很期待。

I look forward to them every week.

Speaker 0

学生们来参加,他们会问关于课程、英语或者他们听到的内容的问题,讨论总是非常有趣,会深入探讨母语者如何使用某些短语,或者你说某些话可能带来的含义。

Students come, they ask questions about their course or about English, about what they're hearing and it's always really interesting discussions with details about how native speakers use certain phrases or the implications of things you might say.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

所以,各位,如果你在我们的一门课程中,并且是个人教练级别,你会收到邀请参加这个活动。

So guys, if you're in one of our courses and you're in the personal coach level, you will be invited to this.

Speaker 1

所以去看看吧。

So check it out.

Speaker 1

好了,Aubrey,让我们更深入地探讨这个话题。

Alright, Aubrey, let's go deeper into this topic.

Speaker 1

我们从哪里继续呢?

Where shall we pick it back

Speaker 0

那我们先来谈谈这个短语。

So let's first talk about this phrase.

Speaker 0

好的,我很乐意。

Know, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

我很乐意去做那件事。

I would be happy to do that.

Speaker 0

当你帮忙或接受任务时,用这句话特别合适,能表现出你的热情。

This is perfect when you're doing a favor or accepting an assigned task and want to show enthusiasm.

Speaker 0

这句话听起来很热情,对吧?

It is quite enthusiastic, right?

Speaker 0

它暗示着你愿意多做一点,甚至超出预期,但你并不介意。

It implies that it often implies you're sort of going above and beyond, but you don't mind.

Speaker 0

你愿意。

You're willing.

Speaker 0

你乐意去做。

You're happy to do it.

Speaker 1

顺便说一句,刚才那个“going above and beyond”其实就是一个固定搭配。

And that right there, by the way, just a side point, is a chunk going above and beyond.

Speaker 1

意思是“超出预期,做得更多”。

To go above and beyond.

Speaker 1

所以,大家,把这个短语单独记下来。

So, learn that chunk, guys, in isolation.

Speaker 1

这个短语很好。

It's a good one.

Speaker 1

不过我觉得它有点正式,对吧?

It's a little bit formal, I think though, right?

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

所以它经常在工作场合使用。

So it's really often used at work.

Speaker 0

它非常适合我们在工作中遇到的这些比较正式的场合。

It's often perfect for these more formal situations we're in at work.

Speaker 0

在日常对话中,如果有人请你帮忙,你可能会说,好的,没问题。

In daily conversations, if someone asks you a favor, you'll probably be like, sure, no problem.

Speaker 0

要知道,还有其他更随意的说法。

Know, there are other ways to see this that are much more casual.

Speaker 0

这个“I'd be happy to”挺正式的。

This I'd be happy to is quite formal.

Speaker 1

对,“sure”可能是最常用的。

Yeah, sure is probably the most common one.

Speaker 1

我们来做个角色扮演吧,Aubrey。

Let's do a little role play here, Aubrey.

Speaker 1

好吗?

Shall we?

Speaker 0

好,我先开始。

Alright, I'll start us.

Speaker 0

你能帮我准备明天会议用的演示文稿吗?

Could you help me prepare the presentation slides for tomorrow's meeting?

Speaker 1

当然可以,我很乐意。

Of course, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 1

我今天下午就开始做。

I'll start working on them this afternoon.

Speaker 0

谢谢。

Thanks.

Speaker 0

真的很感谢你的帮助。

I really appreciate your help.

Speaker 1

哦,没问题。

Oh, no problem.

Speaker 1

如果我有问题的话,我会告诉你的。

I'll let you know if I have any questions.

Speaker 0

对,这挺有意思的,对吧?

Yeah, so this is interesting right?

Speaker 0

从这个角色扮演中,我们对这个任务了解了什么?

From this role play, what do we know about this task?

Speaker 0

有意思,对吧?

Interesting, right?

Speaker 0

这是林赛的职责或责任,还是你在帮我一个忙?

Is it Lindsay's duty or responsibility or are you doing me a favor?

Speaker 1

不,这是额外的事情,对吧?

No, it's a side thing, right?

Speaker 1

这不是我的责任,因为你需要为会议准备演示文稿,对吧?

It's not my responsibility because you need to prepare the presentation slides for the meeting, Right?

Speaker 0

我是在请你帮忙。

I'm asking you for a favor to help me.

Speaker 0

你完全有权利说,对不起,我做不到。

It would be within your rights to say I'm sorry I can't.

Speaker 0

我忙得不可开交。

I'm slammed.

Speaker 0

我手头的事情太多了。

I've got too much going on.

Speaker 0

当然可以。

Sure.

Speaker 0

说‘好的,我很乐意’确实很合理。

It really makes sense to be like yes I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

当然。

For sure.

Speaker 0

这是一个完美的……

Is a perfect...

Speaker 0

注意我在角色扮演里其实写的是“我很乐意”,但即使在工作中,即使是最正式的场合,我们也会用缩略形式说“I'd be happy to”。

And notice I actually wrote out in the role play, I would be happy to but so even at work, even in the most formal situations, we're going to make the contraction there and say, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

因为我们没时间把所有词都说全,把词连在一起说,嘴巴更省事。

Because we don't have time to say all those words it just is easier for our mouth to run it together.

Speaker 1

对,只要有缩略形式可选,我们就会选那个。

Yeah, if there's ever a contraction option, we're going to choose that option.

Speaker 0

我们不会说

We're not going to say

Speaker 1

完整的短语。

the full phrase.

Speaker 1

好,我们再来一个。

Alright, let's do another one.

Speaker 1

你能在我把报告发给客户之前先看一下吗?

Would you be able to review the report before I send it to the client?

Speaker 0

当然可以,我很乐意。

Sure, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

我会看一下,今天结束前把反馈发给你。

I'll take a look and send you my feedback by the end of the day.

Speaker 1

哦,那太好了。

Oh, that would be great.

Speaker 1

非常感谢。

Thanks so much.

Speaker 0

随时都可以。

Anytime.

Speaker 0

很高兴能帮上忙。

I'm glad I can help.

Speaker 1

不错。

Nice.

Speaker 1

你看,这样就能以积极的方式增进关系。

See and that builds the relationship in a positive way.

Speaker 1

我很喜欢。

I love it.

Speaker 0

对,我还想注意一下这两次请求帮忙的方式。

Yes and I want to take note also of the way the favor is asked in both of these.

Speaker 0

第一个是,你能帮我准备演示文稿的幻灯片吗?

The first one, could you help me prepare the presentation slides?

Speaker 0

第二个是,你能做到吗?

And the second one, would you be able to do this?

Speaker 0

这也值得思考,尤其是在不是对方职责范围内,你在工作中请求帮忙的时候。

This is interesting to think about as well when it's not someone's responsibility and you're asking a favor at work.

Speaker 0

是的,还有其他说法,但那些听起来更强势、更咄咄逼人,或者更命令式,对吧?

Yeah, there are other ways to say it that are more bossy or pushy or demanding, right?

Speaker 0

就像直接说,你能做这个吗?

It was just like can you do this?

Speaker 0

你会做这件事吗?

Will you do this?

Speaker 0

这是更礼貌的说法。

Are the more polite ways to say it.

Speaker 0

你能做吗?或者你愿意做吗?

Could you or would you?

Speaker 1

你能做吗?你愿意做吗?

Could you, would you?

Speaker 1

总是更礼貌。

Always more polite.

Speaker 1

总是退一步。

Always taking a step back.

Speaker 1

我们在这个商业播客里经常讨论这个话题,就是如何把请求说得更好听,或者用“能不能”或“愿不愿意”开头。

We talk about this a lot here on this business podcast, or how you can dress up a request or just starting a phrase with could or would.

Speaker 1

非常好。

Really good.

Speaker 0

让它更礼貌一些。

Make it more polite.

Speaker 0

我们还想分享其他几个选项。

And we want to share a couple of other options.

Speaker 0

你肯定不想每次都只说“我很乐意”,对吧?

You're definitely not going to want to say, I'd be happy to every time, right?

Speaker 1

如果你那样说,听起来就像“我随时为你效劳”。

You'll sound like I'm there for you if you do.

Speaker 0

而且这确实正式得多,对吧?

And it is quite a bit more formal, right?

Speaker 0

所以当然,就像我们说的,你可以说“当然可以”。

So there are of course like we said, you can say sure.

Speaker 0

我们有时会在前面加上“当然,我很乐意”。

We prefaced this sometimes with sure, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

你也可以直接说“是的,绝对可以”。

You could also just say yes, absolutely.

Speaker 0

但这也显得很热情,对吧?

But this is also quite enthusiastic, right?

Speaker 0

有时候你确实需要这种热情来建立好感,但还有其他说法。

You do want that enthusiasm sometimes to build that goodwill, but there are other ways to say it.

Speaker 1

对,我觉得用这个要小心,别听起来像讽刺,对吧?

Yeah, I think you want to be careful with this one to not sound sarcastic, right?

Speaker 1

有听起来像……的风险。

There's a danger of sounding...

Speaker 1

如果是个很无聊的任务,你想做,也会做,也乐意做,但可能不想显得太兴奋。

If it's a really mundane task and you want to do it and you will do it and you're happy to do it but maybe you don't want to sound too excited about it.

Speaker 1

所以要注意语气。

So be careful with your tone.

Speaker 0

热情得合理才行,对吧?

The enthusiasm has to make sense, right?

Speaker 0

如果是很枯燥的事,比如有人说你能把这些表格都归档吗?

If it's something that's like very drudgery, someone's like can you file all these forms?

Speaker 0

是的,完全正确。

Yes, absolutely.

Speaker 0

没错。

Absolutely.

Speaker 0

那样会被当成讽刺,对吧?

That's going to be taken as sarcasm, right?

Speaker 0

所以真的得匹配。

So it really does need to match.

Speaker 0

得是你真心乐意做的事,要么是因为对方确实需要帮忙,而且你确实愿意。

Needs to be something that you really would be happy to do either because they really need the favor, And you it's true.

Speaker 0

语气也很重要。

And the tone too.

Speaker 0

如果你用积极的语气说,比如“好的,没问题”。

If you say it just positively, like, yes, absolutely.

Speaker 0

那就不会被当成讽刺了。

Then that won't be taken as sarcastic.

Speaker 1

对,没错。

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 1

那我们举个例子吧,Aubrey。

So let's do an example here, Aubrey.

Speaker 0

好的。

All right.

Speaker 0

我先来。

I'll start us.

Speaker 0

你能在开会前把更新后的销售数据发给团队吗?

Could you send the updated sales numbers to the team before the meeting?

Speaker 1

好的,当然可以。

Yes, absolutely.

Speaker 1

我马上发过去。

I'll send them over right away.

Speaker 1

你保持一种比较平稳的语气。

You kind of maintain a bit of an even tone.

Speaker 1

这里你不要表现得太夸张。

You're not going too animated here.

Speaker 1

保持平稳的语调。

An even tone.

Speaker 1

甚至可以是温暖友好的语调。

Even warm friendly tone.

Speaker 0

对,这点说得很好,因为你可以用更热情的方式说这句话,对吧?

Yeah, that's a really good point too because you can say this much more enthusiastically, right?

Speaker 0

比如你说,是的,当然可以。

If you're like, yes, absolutely.

Speaker 0

而你稍微收敛一点,就是用一种更平稳的方式表示同意,但依然带着积极的态度。

And you took some of that down, just like, is just a more even keel way of agreeing to do something but with that positive energy.

Speaker 1

完全正确。

Completely.

Speaker 1

你还有另一个选择,就是:好的,没问题。

And another option you have is yes, no problem.

Speaker 1

那你能帮我打印几份报告,今天下午开会要用的吗?

So could you print me a few copies of the report for the meeting this afternoon?

Speaker 0

好的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

没问题。

No problem.

Speaker 0

我打印好之后放在会议室里。

I'll print them and leave them in the conference room.

Speaker 0

再说一下语气,因为我可以很热情地说“好的,没问题”。

And again note the tone because I could say yes, no problem.

Speaker 0

那种语气差别真的很大。

It's such a different tone.

Speaker 0

但在工作中,我只是接受一个任务的时候,我的语气不会那么热情。

But at work when I'm just accepting a task, I'm not going to have quite that much enthusiasm in my voice.

Speaker 1

对,确实有一种特别的语气,尤其是在比较正式的职场,或者比如说你刚入职的时候,对吧?

Yeah, there really is like a special register, especially when you're in a more formal workplace or let's say you're new at work, right?

Speaker 1

而且你真的很想以那种专业的方式呈现自己,保持语气平稳,但温暖是个不错的选择。

And you're really wanting to come off in that professional way, keeping things pretty even toned, but warm is a good way to go.

Speaker 1

对吧?

K?

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

当然。

Definitely.

Speaker 0

绝对。

Absolutely.

Speaker 0

没问题。

No problem.

Speaker 0

但把声音压低一点,收敛一些热情,就像你说的,Lindsay,否则可能会被理解为讽刺。

But keeping our voice a little bit lower, pulling out a little of that enthusiasm that, like you said, Lindsay, might be read as sarcasm.

Speaker 1

你说完英语后是不是觉得特别累?

You got exhausted after speaking English?

Speaker 1

不是因为对话本身难,而是因为你的大脑在超负荷运转,一边翻译,一边检查语法,还要找词汇。

Not because the conversation was difficult, but because your brain was working overtime to translate, checking grammar, searching for vocabulary.

Speaker 1

但真正的流利其实感觉更轻松。

But true fluency actually feels lighter.

Speaker 1

你花在思考英语上的时间更少,更多的时间用来和人交流。

You spend less time thinking about English and more time connecting with people.

Speaker 1

找出是什么阻碍了你达到你想要的更高水平。

Find out what's standing between you and that next level that you're looking for.

Speaker 1

来做我们免费的2分钟流利度测试吧。

Take our free two minute fluency quiz.

Speaker 1

访问 allearsenglish.com/fluencyscore。

Go to allearsenglish.com/fluencyscore.

Speaker 1

就是 allearsenglish.com/fluencyscore。

That's allearsenglish.com/fluencyscore.

Speaker 1

好的,Aubrey,我们来做个“不该怎么做”的角色扮演吧,怎么样?

All right, Aubrey, let's do a little what not to do role play, shall we?

Speaker 0

好的,没错。

Yes, right.

Speaker 0

就像我们说的,我们要避免表现得过于热情。

As we said, we want to avoid being overly enthusiastic.

Speaker 0

你要避免让人觉得你是在讽刺。

You want to avoid it coming off as sarcasm.

Speaker 0

所以有些词会显得太过头,比如“太激动了”、“欣喜若狂”之类的,还有“没有比这更让我想做的事了”。

So there are words that can be too much thrilled, overjoyed something like there's nothing I'd rather do.

Speaker 0

就算语气上想压一压,也很难把这些词拉回来,因为词本身太热情了。

It would be hard to like just with the tone pull those down enough because the words are so enthusiastic.

Speaker 1

是啊,确实是这样,而且工作中真的没什么事会让你欣喜若狂,除了做播客。

Yeah, they really are and there's really not much at work that you're overjoyed to do except for podcasting.

Speaker 1

我觉得那不一样。

I mean, I'll say that's different.

Speaker 0

我超爱做播客的。

I love podcasting.

Speaker 0

如果有人给你派任务或者请你帮忙,你直接说“我会非常高兴”的话。

If someone's assigning you a task or or asking you for help just to say I would be overjoyed.

Speaker 0

说“我会很激动”就自动让人觉得你是不是在讽刺。

I would be thrilled is automatically kind of like are you being sarcastic?

Speaker 0

你要是不想帮我就别帮了。

You don't have to help me if you don't want to.

Speaker 1

我觉得这简直可以当《办公室》里的一个场景了,你懂吧?

I feel like this could be the setup for a scene from The Office or something, you know?

Speaker 1

完全同意。

Totally.

Speaker 1

所以举个例子,这是不该做的做法。

So for example, here's what not to do.

Speaker 1

你能在下午5点前把那份报告给我吗?

Could you please get me that report by 5PM?

Speaker 0

我绝对会高兴得不得了。

I'd be absolutely thrilled.

Speaker 1

这说不通啊。

It doesn't make It sense.

Speaker 0

下午五点前交报告。

Submitting a report by 5PM.

Speaker 0

我不应该真的高兴得不得了。

I shouldn't really be absolutely thrilled.

Speaker 0

对。

No.

Speaker 1

对。

No.

Speaker 1

对。

No.

Speaker 1

那绝对是讽刺得不能再讽刺了。

Very, very sarcastic there for sure.

Speaker 1

好的。

All right.

Speaker 1

我们来做个角色扮演吧,奥布里。

Let's do a role play, Aubrey.

Speaker 1

完整的角色扮演,把所有的都串起来。

A full role play, put it all together.

Speaker 1

在这个场景里,我是市场经理,你是市场助理。

Here in this situation, I'm a marketing manager and you're a marketing assistant.

Speaker 1

可以吗?

Okay?

Speaker 0

没问题。

Perfect.

Speaker 1

好的。

All right.

Speaker 1

那你能在今天结束前把客户信息更新到我们的数据库里吗?

So could you update the client information in our database before the end of the day?

Speaker 0

我很乐意。

I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

我会确保所有信息都更新好。

I'll make sure everything is updated.

Speaker 1

谢谢。

Thanks.

Speaker 1

另外,你能为明天的会议准备一些要点吗?

Also, could you prepare a few notes for tomorrow's meeting?

Speaker 0

没问题。

No problem.

Speaker 0

我会整理一些关键点,今天下午发给你。

I'll put together some key points and send them to you this afternoon.

Speaker 1

太好了。

Great.

Speaker 1

非常感谢你的帮助。

I really appreciate your help.

Speaker 1

所以你能看到一种非常不同的语气,奥布里,对比你刚才展示的那种讽刺,或者当你和朋友说话时的那种,嘿,

So you could see a very different tone that you just showed us, Aubrey, versus that sarcasm or maybe when you're talking to a friend, Hey,

Speaker 0

我很乐意

I'd be happy to have

Speaker 1

这个周末让你过来。

you over this weekend.

Speaker 1

或者,是的,我很乐意帮你照顾孩子。

Or, Yeah, I'd be happy to take care of your kids.

Speaker 1

这就像一种非常不同的语气

It's like a very different tone

Speaker 0

这真的很有趣。

in It's the really interesting.

Speaker 0

这关乎词汇、短语和语气。

It's about the vocabulary, the phrases and the tone.

Speaker 0

如果你问我,你能更新一下客户信息吗,那会有点疯狂。

This would be crazy if you asked me, can you update the client?

Speaker 0

我就会说,我非常乐意去做那件事。

And I'm like, I'd be overjoyed to do that.

Speaker 0

什么?

What?

Speaker 0

不是吧?

No, right?

Speaker 0

所以我们需要合适的措辞,还需要那种更正式、更专业的语气,但依然要充满热情和积极,而不是那种“好吧,如果非得做的话”的感觉。

So we need the right phrases and we also need that more just buttoned up polished professional tone so that not but but still these you know enthusiastic positive phrases you wouldn't want to be like I guess if I have to.

Speaker 1

对,确实。

Yeah, for sure.

Speaker 1

天哪,尤其是邮件,我们经常通过邮件沟通,必须特别小心。

Oh my gosh, and especially with email like we you know we communicate via email a lot and you have to be especially careful

Speaker 0

因为邮件里完全没有语气。

via Because you don't have the tone at all.

Speaker 0

他们只能从措辞和用词来判断。

It's just the phrases and the words is the only thing they can read from.

Speaker 1

确实如此。

That's so true.

Speaker 1

好,我们快速回顾一下。

All right, let's go back through this real quick.

Speaker 1

所以我说,你能在今天结束前更新一下数据库里的客户信息吗?

So I said, could you update the client information in our database before the end of the day?

Speaker 1

然后你

And you

Speaker 0

说,我很乐意。

said, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

我会确保所有内容都更新好。

I'll make sure everything is updated.

Speaker 0

所以,我可以这样用力一拍,然后说,我很乐意。

So, I could punch this hard and be like, I'd be happy to.

Speaker 0

这太过了。

It's too much.

Speaker 0

你不需要加上那种过于热情的语调。

You don't want to add that overly enthusiastic intonation.

Speaker 0

你已经有了这个完美的积极说法。

You've already got this positive phrase that's perfect.

Speaker 0

你要让语气稍微平淡一点。

You want to keep your tone a little flatter.

Speaker 1

对。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

稍微平淡一点。

A little flatter.

Speaker 1

你肯定能感觉到那里的差别。

And you could definitely feel that difference there.

Speaker 1

然后我还说,你能为明天的团队会议准备一些要点吗?

And then I said also, could you prepare a few notes for tomorrow's team meeting?

Speaker 0

然后,是的。

And yes.

Speaker 0

然后我就说,没问题。

And I just said, no problem.

Speaker 0

我会整理好的。

I'll put together.

Speaker 0

我可不想说成那种,没问题。

And I wouldn't want to be like, no problem.

Speaker 0

那样太过了。

It's too much.

Speaker 0

很奇怪。

It's strange.

Speaker 1

想想你的ChadGPT发出的那种语调。

Just think about like the intonation that your ChadGPT makes.

Speaker 1

虽然最近他们更新了一下,我觉得有点吓人。

Although recently they've done an update and it's I think it's a little creepy.

Speaker 1

你注意到他们对ChadGPT做的更新了吗?

You noticed the update they did on ChadGPT?

Speaker 0

还没有。

Have not.

Speaker 0

我很少听到你的音频。

I haven't heard much audio from you.

Speaker 1

它现在听起来像是在添加一些语气词。

It's adding like it sounds like just sort of utterances.

Speaker 1

听起来更像真人了。

It sounds more like a real person.

Speaker 1

他们现在想让它听起来更像人。

They're trying to make it sound more human now.

Speaker 0

但就是感觉有点瘆人。

But it just feels creepy.

Speaker 1

我也觉得瘆人。

It feels creepy to me.

Speaker 1

我不喜欢这样。

I don't like it.

Speaker 1

我当时就想,我不要真人。

I was like, don't want a human.

Speaker 1

我就想要一台电脑告诉我该去哪儿吃饭,或者,你知道的,这个街区哪里可以停车。

Like, I just want a computer to give me the answers about where I should go for dinner or like, you know, where people can park in this neighborhood.

Speaker 1

就这么简单。

Very simple.

Speaker 0

如果我想跟真人说话,我直接找真人就好了。

If I want a human, I would talk to a human.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

对。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

所以对你的业务来说,语调可能有点类似。

So for your business intonation, it might be somewhat similar.

Speaker 1

不一定对每个人都这样,但我……

Not necessarily for everyone, but I'm...

Speaker 1

就是……

It...

Speaker 1

我感受到的那种感觉,有点像去年早些时候的Chachi Beatty,某些方面更平淡一些,但又不完全一样。

The vibe that I'm getting is kind of more like Chachi Beatty earlier like last year, a little more flat in some ways, but not exactly either.

Speaker 1

不知道,你懂的,是的。

Don't know, you know, yes.

Speaker 0

这词汇量真棒。

This is great vocab.

Speaker 0

我很高兴你现在有了选择,可以好好想想这件事,因为当你帮别人一个忙时,那是一个多么好的建立联系的时刻,对吧?

I'm excited for you to have options now and to think about this because when you do a favor for someone, what a great connection moment, right?

Speaker 0

而且这些事情是会互相回报的,对吧?

And then these things are reciprocated, right?

Speaker 0

你也能向别人请求帮忙,就像你,Lindsay。

You'll be able to ask a favor of someone else just like you Lindsay.

Speaker 0

你现在可以请邻居来帮忙喂开菲尔、浇浇花,我们需要这种互相依靠的关系,但如果我们接受帮助时说的话不合适,不够积极热情,就可能把这种关系搞砸了。

You now could ask your neighbor to come and feed kefir, water your plants, We need these relationships where we can rely on each other but if depending on what we say when we accept the favor we could kind of ruin that if we're not positive and enthusiastic.

Speaker 1

你说得对。

You got it.

Speaker 1

别在那个时刻破坏了关系,因为你反正都要做这件事。

Don't break the connection at that moment because you're gonna do the work anyways.

Speaker 1

就像,你知道,为什么我们不提那个呢?对,完全同意。

It's like, know, as well Why don't bring we that bring Yeah, totally.

Speaker 1

我喜欢这个。

I love it.
