SpaceX IPO Forecast: Biggest Opportunity or Biggest Trap? Plus Bitcoin Technical Analysis

In this episode of the Crypto Rundown, Tevo and Brendan break down the historic SpaceX IPO, which could become the largest public market debut ever and potentially push Elon Musk toward trillionaire status. They discuss the excitement around SpaceX, Starlink, XAI, and the future of space business, while also warning that the IPO’s massive valuation, retail demand, and insider unlocks could create volatility after launch. The conversation then shifts to inflation data, Fed expectations, and why hotter CPI/PPI numbers may delay rate cuts and pressure risk assets like crypto. They close with Bitcoin technical analysis, Saylor’s shifting tone, Ethereum criticism, Novogratz’s cautious outlook, and why Hyperliquid continues to stand out despite broader market weakness. Speaker 0

That's where Quince is coming for me, and I absolutely love their 100% linen drawstring pants with the matching short sleeve button down that I just got from Quince.

Speaker 0

We're talking linens, organic cotton, tees, lightweight sweaters, all the stuff that you actually wear.

Speaker 0

Their European linen pants and shirts are a great warm weather upgrade, and the price is right.

Speaker 0

They're starting at just $34 and pricing is a big part of it.

Speaker 0

Everything at Quince is 50 to 80% less than similar brands because they work directly with ethical factories and cut out the middleman.

Speaker 0

Welcome back to the rundown, a historical rundown today because SpaceX is about to become the most valuable company to ever go public ever in the history of the stock market.

Speaker 0

And Elon Musk could be the first trillionaire tomorrow when this thing goes live, but there's still burning billion dollars a year at SpaceX.

Speaker 0

So here's what's actually going down in the I biggest IPO history.

Speaker 0

Brendan

Brendan's here to join me.

Speaker 0

We're gonna break down SpaceX, what we think's going on with it.

Speaker 0

Is it a buy?

Speaker 0

Is it a sell?

Speaker 0

You know, who's to say really?

Speaker 0

This is just a monumental thing.

Speaker 0

The news flow is absolutely buzzing about it.

Speaker 0

But we got some insider tips and tricks and just an overall thesis about the SpaceX IPO that we're gonna break down for you here.

Speaker 0

Gonna go over the new inflation data.

Speaker 0

We're gonna pull up the charts and do some technical analysis with you and then go over some stuff that we've seen in the news around Bitcoin, Ethereum, and some other altcoins.

Speaker 0

Brendan, are you excited for the biggest IPO in stock market history?

Speaker 1

Excited, man.

Speaker 1

Listen.

Speaker 1

I'm a fan of of Elon.

Speaker 1

I'm a fan of SpaceX.

Speaker 1

Maybe that's controversial.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 1

I'm not not a political thing, but he's built a lot.

Speaker 1

He's probably he has to be one of the the best entrepreneurs of our generation of of maybe in history.

Speaker 1

But I'm excited, man.

Speaker 1

Listen.

Speaker 1

They're a one of one company.

Speaker 1

They are the premier space company when it comes to things.

Speaker 1

Like, they are the most advanced, hands down, better than, you know, was it Blue Origin, better than NASA, better than any space agency out there.

Speaker 1

So I think when you're coming and you're looking at what could be the future of not just, like, space travel, but also space business, It's an exciting thing to kind of look out for here.

Speaker 1

It's gonna be, like you said, the largest IPO in history.

Speaker 1

Looks like it'll be around the $2,000,000,000,000 IPO mark, which is wild.

Speaker 1

I think that comes out to like 90 to 100 times their earnings or revenue.

Speaker 1

I was looking at something like that, which is also a wild number.

Speaker 1

Like you said, a lot of debt, but tons of stuff to be excited for.

Speaker 1

And you got some big IPOs that are following this up.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 1

You got OpenAI not too far behind, then a little bit later, you're also probably gonna have Anthropic, which is gonna come out.

Speaker 1

So man, I'm stoked.

Speaker 1

Listen, there's a lot going on.

Speaker 1

Of course, we're gonna talk about Bitcoin and everything too, but big day.

Speaker 1

Big day for investors and traders around the world, and it's gonna be probably a big couple of months here.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

And it's something to track.

Speaker 0

And again, we've been kind of forecasting this for a little bit that, hey, when this when a when a huge IPO like this, again, the biggest to ever happen, it's gonna pull money from other things.

Speaker 0

And you've seen that a little bit just kind of around the, you know, semiconductors, the socks, the S and P, just a little bit of a dip here.

Speaker 0

And obviously, those markets have been super, super hot.

Speaker 0

But dude, you know, Bitcoin been going down.

Speaker 0

We've been covering that.

Speaker 0

Could this be a reason?

Speaker 0

Be careful.

Speaker 0

I actually just tweeted this out.

Speaker 0

I mean, silver was down I think 40 something percent from its high.

Speaker 0

I was actually asking.

Speaker 0

I'll pull this tweet up.

Speaker 0

I didn't put it on the sheet for you, Fred.

Speaker 0

Percent.

Speaker 0

It's almost 50%.

Speaker 0

And so I I thought, you know, for the viewers, I was like, I wanted to do my part and keep everybody safe.

Speaker 0

I asked senator Warren to please draft legislation to prosecute the silver industry immediately and prevent further damage and injury to silver because it's down 46% from its high.

Speaker 0

I thought this was a safe haven.

Speaker 0

Again, the markets are a little bit, if you will, frothy, a little bit fun, but it all leads to the SpaceX IPO.

Speaker 0

And I wanted to give some stats.

Speaker 0

We pulled some stats that we wanted to share with everybody.

Speaker 0

And then we can kind of give our take, Brandon, of like, hey, how excited are we?

Speaker 0

Is it something you know, again, nothing we say here is personal financial advice.

Speaker 0

Just a couple friends talking markets, but I think it's worth breaking down kind of our individual opinions because that's what people come to the show for.

Speaker 0

So historics, let's go over the pricing for tomorrow.

Speaker 0

I just looked it up right now.

Speaker 0

It's sitting about 135 and it's going to begin trading Friday, June 12.

Speaker 0

It's expected to raise $75,000,000,000 at a 1,770,000,000,000 evaluation.

Speaker 0

So this company's made up of a different couple things, right?

Speaker 0

So Starlink's in there.

Speaker 0

You got the Starship launches, XAI, it's all kind of Yeah.

Speaker 0

Put together to be there.

Speaker 0

So you have a couple different businesses quote unquote that they're trying to run.

Speaker 0

Starlink is the near term growth engine.

Speaker 0

A lot of momentum for Starlink on airplanes.

Speaker 0

I'm going on a bunch of flights coming up.

Speaker 0

I'm really hoping I get Starlink on one of the flights that I'm gonna be taking.

Speaker 0

But again, just as kind of a consumer product, that's been growing.

Speaker 0

Musk holds 42% of the equity.

Speaker 0

But keep in mind folks, 82% of the voting power via class b shares.

Speaker 0

This makes SpaceX a controlled company.

Speaker 0

So again, it's really just kind of similar to Tesla.

Speaker 0

Right?

Speaker 0

It's a bet on Elon and and the future of the company kind of rides on him because he has 82% of the voting power power.

Speaker 0

So this is a lot of fun.

Speaker 0

There's a lot of bullishness around it, but we also want to highlight some maybe some risks and and and some definitely the hype valuation around it.

Speaker 0

So there's extremely strong demand.

Speaker 0

It's oversubscribed.

Speaker 0

I heard like I think it was, like, four, five, six, seven times oversubscribed.

Speaker 0

It keeps going up.

Speaker 0

So even though Elon Musk is gonna be the first trillionaire, the valuation is 95 times, Brendan.

Speaker 0

95 times twenty twenty five sales.

Speaker 0

Wow.

Speaker 0

And again, with the Starships and everybody's seen the clips of of, you know, landing the reusable rocket, that was unbelievable engineering.

Speaker 0

But right now, it's just it is a it's a you know, it's not a profitable endeavor doing that type of stuff.

Speaker 0

Making bets on going to the moon, making the moon a vacation spotter, occupying Mars.

Speaker 0

I mean, these are futuristic dreams.

Speaker 0

So it's interesting to have that end of the spectrum along with Starlink and then kind of XAI in the middle.

Speaker 0

And then, hey, like there's a couple talks about are they going to buy Tesla and merge this all together with with robots and AI.

Speaker 0

It's like, it's it's unbelievable.

Speaker 0

So Brendan, after teeing those up, let's get Brendan's take.

Speaker 0

Number one, obviously, you're excited for the IPO, but what what's your thoughts around the investment strategy or trading this?

Speaker 0

Give give our listeners obviously, we have scale of, you know, novice investors to some experts.

Speaker 0

So so give your take to the people.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Listen.

Speaker 1

I'm excited.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 1

I I think I've made that clear.

Speaker 1

I'm excited.

Speaker 1

I think this is gonna have a massive future.

Speaker 1

The question for me becomes, is it smart to get into this thing at launch over a $2,000,000,000,000 valuation?

Speaker 1

Long term, I think that's a cheap value for it.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 1

I'm not debating that.

Speaker 1

Shorter term, I think that there are some risks here.

Speaker 1

Most notably, right, it's coming in at an extremely high the highest that we've ever seen for an IPO, over $2,000,000,000,000 It's wild, right?

Speaker 1

95% or 95 times their annual sales, also a pretty big number.

Speaker 1

The other thing to probably think about in regards to this is that it's launching a little bit differently than other IPOs.

Speaker 1

I think 30% of the offering is going go to retail investors or retail traders.

Speaker 1

Usually, that's drastically lower.

Speaker 1

Sometimes you see, what, 5%, 10%.

Speaker 1

This is gonna be a lot bigger.

Speaker 1

So a lot more money is gonna go towards retail hands, which are a little bit more volatile.

Speaker 1

The other thing about this is that the way that insiders or early investors or employees can sell is also run differently.

Speaker 1

Typically, there's longer vesting schedules.

Speaker 1

This one's a little bit shorter.

Speaker 1

So starting right after the one month mark, you can start having some of these early investors and employees and insiders start selling, I think, to around 28, or maybe 20% to 30% -ish of their shares that they have.

Speaker 1

And so right around, once you get to the one month mark, they get their first unlock.

Speaker 1

Then you have, I think it's the two month, the three month, so on and so forth.

Speaker 1

Like Q2, Q3, it starts expanding, and insiders can sell.

Speaker 1

So what you're going to have here is this thing that's at a record valuation.

Speaker 1

You have a lot of people who went in here, even people that weren't big.

Speaker 1

I know of some people that work at SpaceX, and they're not big, high level individuals.

Speaker 1

They're fairly young guys like me.

Speaker 1

And they were getting offered, from my understanding, tens of thousands of dollars in annual comp.

Speaker 1

Now if you go and you do that for a couple of years and you look at the valuation growth that it's seen from billions to trillions, these are probably guys in their late mid to late twenties, early thirties that now all of sudden have hundreds of thousands of dollars, if not millions of dollars.

Speaker 1

And they're being told, hey.

Speaker 1

You're gonna have hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars available in this just from the last couple of years, and you're gonna be able to start selling this one month in.

Speaker 1

Those guys, the odds are they're going to do some selling.

Speaker 1

They just are.

Speaker 1

So the the complexity here is you're gonna have this at a record valuation.

Speaker 1

You're going to have a lot of shares and selling pressure unlock after the first one, two, three months.

Speaker 1

And the odds are those people are going to take profits.

Speaker 1

Some of those early investors are going to be up 100x, 1000x.

Speaker 1

A lot of these everyday people that are working a nine to five job that now have hundreds of thousands and millions of dollars in liquidity available, they're also going to do some selling pressure.

Speaker 1

So there's a unique dynamic here where I think, again, people are going to look to take profits.

Speaker 1

My fear is that the early buyers could be the exit liquidity.

Speaker 1

A lot of the time with early IPOs, you see they launch, maybe they have a big blow up moment at first, they skyrocket up, and then they come down to consolidate for a bit.

Speaker 1

I think you've seen that in a handful of them.

Speaker 1

Robinhood

You've seen it in Robinhood.

Speaker 1

Palantir 也是。

You've seen it in Palantir.

Speaker 1

Circle

You've seen it in Circle.

Speaker 1

You've seen it in, like, the list goes on.

Speaker 1

There's, you know, a lot of these that have done similar things.

Speaker 1

And so that's my fear here, is that, you know, maybe you have some early volatility to start, but once those insiders start selling, you could have these early buyers be exit liquidity for the people who have had shares for a while.

Speaker 1

So it's one of the things I'm considering here.

Speaker 1

Again, long term, I'm bullish on it.

Speaker 1

I I wanna own this thing long term.

Speaker 1

My thought process is if we get a dip, and there's maybe we don't.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 1

If we get a dip, I want to do a buy of the dip on this thing.

Speaker 1

I gotta say I'm hesitant to do buying around the $2,000,000,000,000 valuation.

Speaker 1

I think there is a world where we probably get a deeper buy that's that's probably significantly lower than that in terms of market cap, and that's where I would look to capitalize on this.

Speaker 1

That's what I'm looking to do, but no no skin in the game yet for me.

Speaker 0

Alright, crypto one zero one fam.

Speaker 0

A story I don't talk about at all is back in college, I played college football at a division one level.

Speaker 0

Back then, could eat whatever I want, hit the gym, do the program, and stay in great shape.

Speaker 0

I didn't even have to think about it.

Speaker 0

Now that I'm older, in my thirties, it's a totally different story.

Speaker 0

And nobody loves a good dad bod more than me, but with the summer coming up, I was thinking maybe I should lean out a little bit and my friends and I started looking into how we could achieve this.

Speaker 0

And instead of going down this peptide route or testosterone route where you gotta do all these needles and stuff, we didn't wanna do that.

Speaker 0

We were looking for something more similar.

Speaker 0

And so that's where we found Mars men.

Speaker 0

Listen, you lose muscle faster and store more fat as you get older and a big reason for that is testosterone.

Speaker 0

Most guys levels start dropping in their early thirties and it makes it easier to gain fat especially around the midsection.

Speaker 0

And the more fat you gain, the more your body converts testosterone into estrogen.

Speaker 0

It just makes it a never ending cycle.

Speaker 0

But Mars men, it's a natural supplement designed to support healthy testosterone levels, helping your body burn fat and build lean muscle more efficiently.

Speaker 0

No weird stimulants, just ingredients like tonga dali, zinc, and boron.

Speaker 0

Listen.

Speaker 0

I have friends that have taken this.

Speaker 0

They're saying they have more consistent energy.

Speaker 0

They're stronger in the gym.

Speaker 0

They have better focus, and they're leaning out a little bit as well.

Speaker 0

Less cravings, better recovery, just more dialed in overall.

Speaker 0

And listen, if you're interested in trying this, it's something that again, you don't have to worry about needles and shots and peptides.

Speaker 0

It's just a pill.

Speaker 0

You know what slows teams down more than anything?

Speaker 0

It's not always headcount budget or even the tools themselves.

Speaker 0

It's when the way work gets done lives in someone's head and never actually gets documented.

Speaker 0

Then someone new joins, a new platform gets rolled out, or a teammate leaves, and suddenly everyone's doing the same process in a different way.

Speaker 0

That's exactly the problem today's sponsor, Scribe, was built to solve.

Speaker 0

Scribe is a workflow AI platform that captures any workflow in real time and turns it into a step by step documentation automatically.

And it's already trusted by over 80,000 enterprises, including nearly half of the Fortune 500.

Speaker 0

With our team being remote, I have definitely had moments where I've had to explain the same setup or process more than once to a colleague, and it always feels like something that should have been documented the first time.

Speaker 0

With Scribe, what could take hours of writing, screenshots, and cleanup can be ready to share in under a minute.

Speaker 0

Questions about the war just like we talked about recently a lot on our program.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

I think I put a request in to get some pre IPO shares just to say I did it, to be in the game.

Speaker 0

But I agree with you on the selling is like, hey, there's whether it's the, you know, the early investors, the early venture capital people that have been locked up for five, ten, fifteen years, you know, that's not to say that they're even gonna sell all the shares, right?

Speaker 0

But just, you know, you're gonna take some off the table at And some point, then like you said, you know, the employees, it's life changing money.

Speaker 0

It's life changing money.

Speaker 0

And this is a funny tweet.

Speaker 0

It's gonna be all of us with the lunch lady on her yacht in the Golf after the IPO goes live.

Speaker 0

I thought that was a great one.

Speaker 0

That one made me laugh.

Speaker 0

And then again, you got to look at its market conditions for such a large stock like that.

Speaker 0

Think, you know, I was looking at some stats of other IPOs and like Robinhood comes to mind.

Speaker 0

Robinhood

I think Robinhood launched everybody was super bullish about it.

Speaker 0

And that went I think that launched it like the forties or fifties and went all the way down to 10 or eight.

Speaker 0

Know, covered it on this show and then you know, the famous clip of me saying that.

Speaker 0

So like that was you know, an 80% drawdown.

Speaker 0

I think Uber, Lyft, you know, there's a lot of different companies that we all know and love today that are super successful stocks that didn't necessarily IPO well.

Speaker 0

That obviously is, you know, when did they go live?

Speaker 0

The market and then the bear market that happens after that, it all kind of adds up.

Speaker 0

So I agree with you.

Speaker 0

I think you got to take caution here.

Speaker 0

It's definitely gonna be everybody's gonna be in there.

Speaker 0

There's gonna be long term investors, there's gonna be traders, there's gonna be gamblers, it's gonna you know, it's gonna be crazy.

Speaker 0

They're they're already launching a a a two x leverage ETF the day it goes live.

Speaker 0

That's that's where we are in this world.

Speaker 0

Happy investing, happy trading.

Speaker 0

And just again, a monumental type of a monumental type of day for the largest IPO in history.

Speaker 0

So congrats to everybody that works at SpaceX.

Speaker 0

Congrats to all the, you know, pre IPO investors.

Speaker 0

Obviously, it's going to be a great great day and a fun day.

Speaker 0

As we transition, we wanna talk about some general markets, some interesting things that we cover here.

Speaker 0

Next week, we have Kevin Worsch's first, press conference.

Speaker 0

That is gonna be must watch.

Speaker 0

I'm gonna try and get and Brian, if you wanna join us, you're more than welcome.

Speaker 0

Brian and I usually do the the live press conference.

Speaker 0

We maybe put some bets on, you know, the betting markets of the some mentions, have some fun, but also listen and break it down because sometimes those have been market moving events.

Speaker 0

I I think this is must watch next week.

Speaker 0

It's hard to think of a a a more recent must watch Fed meeting.

Speaker 0

But the data keeps coming out and all year and hand up, you know, we gotta admit when we're right because we're right a lot, but we gotta admit when we're wrong.

Speaker 0

And I I thought going into the year, the data, you know, has changed.

Speaker 0

You're allowed to change your opinion.

Speaker 0

But I remember at the end of your show, I I said, was like, yeah, I think we're gonna get, you know, some rate cuts here.

Speaker 0

Maybe three, four, maybe more than what's priced in.

Speaker 0

And that has been again, this is pre war, so there's no war.

Speaker 0

There's no inflation.

Speaker 0

So, you know, the the the game has totally changed.

Speaker 0

So you're allowed to change your opinion as an investor and a trader, but I I didn't see the war coming obviously back in December.

Speaker 0

So the data's changing, Brandon.

Speaker 0

You brought this to to the table today.

Speaker 0

So once you break it down with the the new data that is changing and thus rate cuts, the price in rate cuts are changing?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

What we've seen here is you're right.

Speaker 1

The data has changed.

Speaker 1

We I think all of us really kinda came into the year and were saying, hey.

Speaker 1

You know, we are coming off the 10/10 crash.

Speaker 1

There was some turbulence, obviously, negativity.

Speaker 1

But we are looking at the horizon and saying, hey, the the macro really hasn't changed.

Speaker 1

We're looking at rate cuts.

Speaker 1

We're gonna get a new Fed chair.

Speaker 1

He's gonna be more dovish.

Speaker 1

That's probably gonna even increase to to more rate cuts than people had priced in originally.

Speaker 1

And then, like you said, there's been a couple of curveballs here that has changed that.

Speaker 1

Now what you get is the result of some geopolitical conflicts and just some other things that are just happening, right?

Speaker 1

Inflation going up.

Speaker 1

That's kind of like what this gets around to.

Speaker 1

So this is just saying, Hey, we had CPI earlier this week.

Speaker 1

We just had PPI, which is the producer's price index come out here.

Speaker 1

And you had PPI increase from 6.5% year over year versus the estimated 6.4%, so higher than expected there.

Speaker 1

You had the PPI for month over month come in at 1.1% versus the estimated of 0.7%, so that's coming in higher.

Speaker 1

You did have core however, which remains like a pretty big talking point.

Speaker 1

Core inflation, wherever it may be, is continually coming in lower.

Speaker 1

So it's saying if you're factoring out some of the volatile food and energy sectors, inflation really isn't as bad as people expect it to be.

Speaker 1

It's only until you factor in the volatile food and energy sectors that you really do get the true inflation that we're seeing here.

Speaker 1

So that's why people argue that it's transitory.

Speaker 1

And what that means is that they're saying once this war and stuff goes away, once the Strait Of Hormuz reopens, all of this goes back down.

Speaker 1

That's what transitory essentially means, is that once this conflict and stuff ends, all of this stuff comes crashing back down and goes back to normal.

Speaker 1

So that's the difference here is, again, you're seeing core inflation be fairly fine, but, you know, normal inflation, whether it's CPI or PPI here, coming in higher than expected and worse than expected.

Speaker 1

So what does that mean for us as investors?

Speaker 1

Well, this kind of goes back to the point we were just talking about, which is that if this remains the case, it's going to cause some issues, because now we are looking at probably two rate cuts this year.

Speaker 1

People saying, like myself, thinking, Hey, we could get more than that.

Speaker 1

Now all of a sudden, there's talks, and they're actually pricing in a rate hike on the year, so zero cuts, and maybe a hike instead of cuts.

Speaker 1

So now all of sudden that's being priced in as a possibility on the table.

Speaker 1

That has historically not been a good thing for the crypto market.

Speaker 1

The crypto market likes rate cuts.

Speaker 1

The financial sector, you know, it likes rate cuts.

Speaker 1

Risk assets like rate cuts because businesses can borrow at cheaper prices and etc, and that has a ripple effect that goes down the line.

Speaker 1

So that's why this matters, right?

Speaker 1

Is because if inflation is getting worse, then there's going to be less chance of rate cuts and a higher chance for rate hikes.

Speaker 1

If there's a higher chance of rate hikes, then risk assets can tend to perform worse.

Speaker 1

That can be a risk.

Speaker 1

And then you have, again, like something like crypto here, is being somewhat affected by this.

Speaker 1

And I think that's the way to look at it.

Speaker 1

So that's why we bring it up here.

Speaker 1

I think the macro is not you know, you don't wanna look at this and be like, oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna make every financial decision all today based off this one data point.

Speaker 1

But you need to consider it and kind of the the effects that it could have on the market, which is one of the things that we wanna, like, just digest here.

Speaker 1

Again, our job is to go through all the noise, all the news, all the everything, explain it in a fairly easy to understand manner, talk about the pros and cons of how it could affect us, and explain it.

Speaker 1

And again, to be prepared and understand what's happening and why it's happening.

Speaker 1

And that's really why we bring it up.

Speaker 0

Great points.

Speaker 0

Great points.

Speaker 0

Let's jump into the charts because again, the SpaceX IPO inflation data and just a hot market for, you know, AI and a down market for Bitcoin.

Speaker 0

It's always good just to check-in.

Speaker 0

You know, don't have to do too much time.

Speaker 0

Just do the high level stuff.

Speaker 0

And then next week we'll be back with me and you on Friday for a full technical analysis.

Speaker 0

I think it'll be good to do that after a week of the IPO because I feel like stuff right now is a little bit kinda at least chilling for the moment, but we'll definitely come back.

Speaker 0

So mark your calendars next Friday.

Speaker 0

Brent and I will be back doing a deep dive on the charts.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Well, you know, Bitcoin here still following the breakdown.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 1

We've we've tracked this for a while saying, hey, ever since the all time high, you basically moved down, bear flag, moved down, bear flag, moved down, bear flag, moved down.

Speaker 1

And this is no exception.

Speaker 1

Another bear flag via one of these rising channels on the charts.

Speaker 1

Pretty clear rejection zone for Bitcoin.

Speaker 1

Rejected its prior consolidation range, former support, now used as resistance in here.

Speaker 1

Rejected the two hundred day moving average, which is the yellow line.

Speaker 1

The anchored VWAP, which is the orange line.

Speaker 1

The top of this bear flag that it was in.

Speaker 1

You know, this little white line that we have.

Speaker 1

Rejected all these key levels.

Speaker 1

Hit the top of the bear flag.

Speaker 1

Crashed down through all of its major moving averages, broke down through support of the bear flag itself, and then that's when you really started to see the acceleration once the bear flag broke, which is a continuation pattern to the downside.

Speaker 1

So big old break here, and it brought us right back to the lows.

Speaker 1

Now I have a little wiggly white line down here to show, hey we actually did break lower than our prior swing low, our prior cycle low, back in February.

Speaker 1

So we broke a little bit lower from 60,000 down to around 59,000, so slightly lower low happening in here.

Speaker 1

However, we really didn't close below 60 k for the most part.

Speaker 1

We were closing around 61,000 ish, which is again still the lowest candle body closing that we've gotten this this downtrend.

Speaker 1

But again, holding around our prior lows, which is something to note.

Speaker 1

The big question here now is like, well, is that the absolute low?

Speaker 1

Is that the cycle low?

Speaker 1

I think it's too early to say, right?

Speaker 1

We just came in on this low last Friday.

Speaker 1

It hasn't even been a one week of consolidation.

Speaker 1

Maybe we need a little bit more of that.

Speaker 1

I think we'll kind of see.

Speaker 1

I think we need to see what this is going to be.

Speaker 1

Is this gonna be a bear flag via a pennant?

Speaker 1

Is this gonna be another kind of rising channel bear flag?

Speaker 1

You know, maybe we get something bullish out of here.

Speaker 1

We get an ascending triangle, right?

Speaker 1

There's a number of different ways it could go.

Speaker 1

I think you have to lean a little bit cautious at an area like this.

Speaker 1

The downtrend is very clearly bearish, right?

Speaker 1

The trend is not our friend over the last six to nine months.

Speaker 1

So I think you gotta be a little bit careful at this area.

Speaker 1

And then the other thing is that historically, you know, kind of with bear flag, you get breaks to new lows.

Speaker 1

Here you have a bear flag breaking the new low.

Speaker 1

Bear flag breaking the new low.

Speaker 1

Bear flag breaking the new low.

Speaker 1

Here, what we have is this bear flag, this rising channel, with a break, excuse me, to the lows, but not yet to a new low.

Speaker 1

So I think that remains like a big question at the forefront of my mind is, well, are we gonna break, get that break to new lows on Bitcoin?

Speaker 1

Technically speaking, you've got a little bit, but you know, what?

Speaker 1

It's a 1% difference?

Speaker 1

About?

Speaker 1

So nothing too, too crazy over here, and I think it kind of leaves that idea on the table.

Speaker 1

Hey, there is the possibility that new lows could be something that's possible, which is why I wanna be just, again, a little bit cautious, a little bit safe.

Speaker 1

I'm not going, you know, YOLO all in here.

Speaker 1

I wanna make sure I got some cash on hand and stuff.

Speaker 1

But, yeah, I think you gotta consider this.

Speaker 1

Note to the downside here, I guess the other things to look at is that you do have an anchored VWAP from the prior cycle's lows, so back from 2022.

Speaker 1

If you do an anchored VWAP from there, you have that right around the high 50s in terms of Bitcoin's price.

Speaker 1

And then you also have the two hundred week moving average, which has been a pretty big historical zone as well.

Speaker 1

And you have the two hundred week moving average on Bitcoin, which has been a big bottoming point in the past, right around the low sixties, high fifties as well.

Speaker 1

And so, you know, we've used that as support and a bottoming point in 2015 and '16, in 2018 and '19, 2020.

Speaker 1

2022, we came below it, but was still a bottoming point.

Speaker 1

And now we're kind of back at that zone again.

Speaker 1

So I would be looking at this and saying, hey.

Speaker 1

You know, I think there's a lot of long term value that comes out of us being around this area.

Speaker 1

Maybe we go a little bit lower.

Speaker 1

That doesn't change my thought process, which is that historically, you look for value at or below the two hundred week moving average at some of these key levels.

Speaker 1

So that kind of makes me wanna be a buyer of Bitcoin, especially under 50,000.

Speaker 1

And so it's something that I'm looking at.

Speaker 1

And of the things we haven't talked about in a while, TiVo, is that if you look at how Bitcoin has performed once it's at a 50 to 60% retracement, the odds of it being profitable a year a year later is something that is really interesting.

Speaker 1

I'm gonna throw this up on the chart so that everyone can kind of just see this number.

Speaker 1

But you can see that when Bitcoin's at a 50% drawdown, which well if you look at it one year later, based on historical data, it has an 89.8% win rate.

Speaker 1

So it's saying if you're buying Bitcoin at a 50% drawdown or worse, and you look back, you know, or excuse me, you look forward a year from that point in time, the odds that you'll be profitable one year later are 89.8%.

Speaker 1

The average return on that run one year later is 125%.

Speaker 1

If you're buying at a 60% drawdown, what you're looking at can you see this on the screen, Tivo?

Speaker 1

I'm not

Speaker 0

sure if No, I can't.

Speaker 0

I just see the charts still.

Speaker 1

Let me do a screen share of this one more time.

Speaker 1

Let me do that.

Speaker 1

So this is that chart that I was saying.

Speaker 1

Again, you're buying at a 50% drawdown, your one year win rate will be 89.8%, and then your average return rate will be 125%.

Speaker 1

If you're buying at a 60% or worse drawdown, which we have not hit yet, but you know we've come, we're getting there, the odds that you'll be profitable one year later based on this data is 98.3% with an average return rate of 132%.

Speaker 1

So again, could we go lower?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

Should we go lower?

Speaker 1

My opinion, again, not financial advice, but I wanna be a buyer, you know, looking at 90 plus percent odds are around that area.

Speaker 1

I'm okay taking that risk.

Speaker 1

And maybe I'm wrong, maybe I lose money, and maybe it doesn't work out that way.

Speaker 1

But, again, based on historical data, I do think that there's some opportunity that we can look at in Bitcoin.

Speaker 1

And, again, it is possible we do go lower, but that's not something that's gonna deter me too, too much in looking at some of the value.

Speaker 1

The final thing I'll say here is that, you know, a lot of these other large caps are looking somewhat similar, right?

Speaker 1

You kind of have a break of the lows moving down here.

Speaker 1

Eth, Solana, XRP, BNB, a

Speaker 0

很多

lot

Speaker 1

of these charts all look similar, where they kind of had a break to the new lows, and they're just consolidating down there for the moment.

Speaker 1

So a little bit more weakness in terms of these alt coins as they have kind of broken down into some record levels.

Speaker 1

So you wanna keep an eye on that.

Speaker 1

You know, Bitcoin looks a little bit stronger and healthier.

Speaker 1

And even some of the coins that were heavily outperforming, like Hyperliquid and Near and Venice, Even those coins are starting to come down a little bit here as things are settling out for the time being, but, you know, still things that I'm excited about.

Speaker 1

You know, we'll talk about Hyperliquid a little bit later on, but still projects that I like.

Speaker 1

I still think, again, there's tons of opportunity out there.

Speaker 1

And out of these dips, think you look at what's fundamentally strong, and you're probably going to still find things that are very, very tradable and longable.

Speaker 1

所以。

So

Speaker 0

Great breakdown.

Speaker 0

It's a great breakdown and just kind of the reality of where we are.

Speaker 0

Good transition into the Saylor quote of kind of saying like, hey, Bitcoin's a little bit stronger right now.

Speaker 0

All coins a little bit weak.

Speaker 0

Saylor took on some altcoins calling out a variety of them.

Speaker 0

So let's take take a listen here.

Speaker 2

Confidence in Ethereum has collapsed if you're paying attention.

Speaker 2

What what you see in the rest of the crypto market is there's a competition between Ethereum, Solana, BNB.

Speaker 2

For the long time, SWE was the next Solana, and then that collapsed.

Speaker 2

And now there's hype Hyperliquid.

Speaker 2

And then there's competition at the layer twos with our Bitrum and and Base.

Speaker 2

And all of those things have stripped the monetary premium on all those crypto tokens.

Speaker 2

And I think that I think that even the people that believe in the tokens realize that they're not money.

Speaker 2

They're not gonna have a monetary premium.

Speaker 2

They're gonna live or die based on utility, and they're all in a a difficult competition.

Speaker 2

So I I think the last twelve months have been really good for the position of Bitcoin as the dominant digital monitoring network.

Speaker 2

They've established Bitcoin as digital capital.

Speaker 2

I think we've proven digital credit is an idea that works.

Speaker 2

You know, confident

Speaker 0

It's an interesting quote, but, like, he's you know, we we just try to cover the news.

Speaker 0

He's talked to other side of that too.

Speaker 0

He's like, you know, when the market's hot and everybody's doing good, Saylor's had quotes where he said, you know, everybody's winning.

Speaker 0

Ethereum's gonna win, and, you know, this right.

Speaker 0

Is Am I wrong about that?

Speaker 1

不对。

No.

Speaker 1

You're right.

Speaker 1

It's I was laughing because he's just making enemies right now, Tivo.

Speaker 1

He he's going to war.

Speaker 1

He's got some of the Bitcoin people against him, said he'd never sell Bitcoin, selling some Bitcoin.

Speaker 1

You know, he's taking these different stances.

Speaker 1

Used to be pro Ethereum, but more pro Bitcoin.

Speaker 1

Now it's a no.

Speaker 1

It's collapsed.

Speaker 1

It's so bad.

Speaker 1

It's so bearish.

Speaker 1

I mean, Saylor the bear, man.

Speaker 1

Saylor coming out as the bear, selling some Bitcoin, saying Ethereum's collapsed, making enemies.

Speaker 1

I again, I guess he's gotta talk his bag on on Bitcoin here and double down, but he's not making friends saying things like that.

Speaker 0

我并不

I don't

Speaker 1

know what's gotten into him this year.

Speaker 0

Quick question.

Speaker 0

Is your computer actually old or is it just being dragged down by the stuff that's supposed to protect it?

Speaker 0

Because that's the part nobody really thinks about.

Speaker 0

A lot of traditional antivirus programs are heavy.

Speaker 0

They take up space, slow things down, throw pop ups at you, and then you're sitting there blaming your laptop like, well, maybe it's time for a new one.

Speaker 0

But sometimes your device isn't the problem, your antivirus is.

Speaker 0

And us being in crypto, we know that we need a top tier antivirus program to keep our assets safe.

Speaker 0

That's why Webroot makes sense.

Speaker 0

Webroot is a cloud based antivirus, so it's built to stay out of your way.

Speaker 0

It takes up to 33 times less space than bulky competitors and scans six times faster, so you're getting protection without your computer feeling like it's fighting for its life every time you open up a few tabs.

Speaker 0

And this matters more now because AI has changed the cybersecurity game.

Speaker 0

Phishing emails look more real, scams are getting smarter, and malware moves fast.

Speaker 0

So you need protection that can actually keep up.

Speaker 0

Webroot helps defend you in real time against malware, phishing, ransomware, and other threats, whether you're working, browsing, streaming, or just trying to use your computer without it sounding like it's about to take off.

Speaker 0

限时优惠,通过访问 webroot.com/crypto10one,现在购买 Webroot 可省 60%。

For a limited time, you can save 60% on Webroot when you go to webroot.com/crypto10one.

Speaker 0

今天只要通过 webroot.com/crypto10one 访问,就能享受六折优惠。

That's 60% off today, but only when you go to webroot.com/crypto10one.

Speaker 0

Yeah, well, a couple billion dollars on a P and L into the negative.

Speaker 0

We'll do that to people.

Speaker 0

Ask Tom Lee for a quote about what he said about Ethereum.

Speaker 0

Tom Lee just gave me a shrug.

Speaker 0

He said, I'll buy some more.

Speaker 0

I'll buy some more Eth, Bitmind buying more just continues, continues to buy and they were launching that preferred stock.

Speaker 0

So that's something we'll continue to watch.

Speaker 0

But again, it's not necessarily, it's a stronger pasture, but not not too much of a greener pasture.

Speaker 0

I thought this was a fun quote of Mike Novogratz basically saying, Hey, the 60 ks level, we have technical support, but you know, if you're somebody that likes to pray, say a couple prayers.

So let's take a look at what Mike said.

Speaker 3

Michael, so we're at 62 as you and I are speaking.

Speaker 3

Does it head to 50?

Speaker 3

Does it head into the fifties before it gets back to 70?

Speaker 3

I'll just point out when the ETF started, we were around the low forties in January 2024.

Speaker 3

So where do you think we're going?

Speaker 4

I don't have a strong conviction if we take out 60, we're going to head to the mid 50s to low 50s.

Speaker 4

And then it'll be a fifty, seventy five.

Speaker 4

I think 80, I said this before and I'm mad at myself for not selling enough when we got up to 82.

Speaker 4

When we were at 60 last time I said 80, you gotta have to take out $80.82, 83.

Speaker 4

That's gonna be the top unless it takes that out and then it goes to 100.

Speaker 4

Well, failed up there.

Speaker 4

And now I think that still is 80 is still your stealing.

Speaker 3

That's the resistance, Jim.

Speaker 4

If you take out 60, it opens up 50, know, 45 to 50.

Speaker 4

And so if you're a good Catholic, you're saying two Hail Marys and our Father, that 60 holds.

Speaker 0

That's where we are right now in the crypto market folks.

Speaker 0

I saw another clip from that podcast where it was just saying, it was like a sentiment, you know, for the Bitcoin, you know, the old school crypto heads.

Speaker 0

It's just like, don't have the energy.

Speaker 0

It was an interesting quote.

Speaker 0

It was short, so it wasn't worth like playing, but the thesis of it was, it was like, we don't have the energy right now.

Speaker 0

Like, you know, the new Bitcoiners and the new crypto people, they're bailing because they, you know, bought the top and then the old Bitcoiners that have been through multiple cycles, it's like, yeah, we've seen this before, but like, I can't deal with this right now.

Speaker 0

There's there's too much else going on in the markets.

Speaker 0

Right?

Speaker 0

Like with in a positive way with AI trade and there's other areas to to research and make money.

Speaker 0

So I I thought that was an interesting interesting take, especially because Galaxy is is, you know, dabbles in both crypto and the energy side.

Speaker 0

But any any thoughts?

Speaker 0

Are you joining are you joining, like, Novogratz in the pew?

Speaker 1

I think we all probably said one or two.

Speaker 1

You know?

Speaker 1

Maybe it's for Bitcoin.

Speaker 1

Maybe it's for an altcoin, though, that we like.

Speaker 1

But no, I think, again, I think he's he's been pretty level headed about it, saying, hey, guys.

Speaker 1

The same thing that that we just said is, like, there's the possibility that we go a little bit lower.

Speaker 1

He he even left that open ended, saying, hey.

Speaker 1

You know, could we go into the fifties?

Speaker 1

It's possible.

Speaker 1

Could we go a little bit lower than we're currently priced at?

Speaker 1

He left the door open, and I would agree with him.

Speaker 1

He's not sitting there saying, guys, it is ugly.

Speaker 1

It's gonna get horrible.

Speaker 1

We're gonna go down.

Speaker 1

He's not saying that.

Speaker 1

He's you just hear a soft, slight, more more risk based approach where or sorry.

Speaker 1

A less risk based approach where he's saying, I wanna be careful around here.

Speaker 1

We could go lower.

Speaker 1

That's kind of the voice that he's taking as opposed to, like, a raw, horribly bearish tone.

Speaker 1

He's saying, you know, just, hey, be careful.

Speaker 1

This stuff's still there and available, and we could do that.

Speaker 1

And I think he's right about it.

Speaker 1

I I think it's a possibility, but it's not something I'm, like, losing sleep over and freaking out about as well.

Speaker 0

Yeah, exactly.

Speaker 0

That's where we are.

Speaker 0

It's like anybody, unless you have super high conviction, guess one way or the other, it's definitely kind of a let the market come to you type of vibe, which I know, you know, isn't always the most fun, but it kind of is what it is.

Speaker 0

Again, you can't have the fun bulls without a little bit of the bear, right?

Speaker 0

That's what makes the world go around.

Speaker 0

So some good news before we head out today, Hyperliquid weekly users above 200,000, an interesting week for Hyperliquid as they try to price the SpaceX IPO.

Speaker 0

I think they're kind of right there.

Speaker 0

It's been really interesting.

Speaker 0

The traditional finance channels have been talking about Hyperliquid, just kind of referencing some different features on it.

Speaker 0

And obviously, it's been making a lot of noise.

Speaker 0

So good good for that, small team like we've covered on the show.

Speaker 0

It's like they're doing wild things with a tight team there.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

And I don't think again, I don't really think Hyperliquid's going anywhere.

Speaker 1

If you look at their activity metrics and their growth metrics, they are just dominating.

Speaker 1

Now they're a multibillion dollar project that's run two to 300% in the last several months.

Speaker 1

So, you know, they're gonna have pullbacks and stuff, but I like them so long as they continue to grow, so long as they're growing in activity and in money, and in users, and in all these different metrics, I think it's really hard to fade them if they're growing at the rate that they are.

Speaker 1

This just kind of backs that up.

Speaker 1

So, yeah, they're crushing it, man.

Speaker 1

I like them.

Speaker 1

I'm talking my bags a little bit because I got some exposure to them.

Speaker 1

But, again, I don't think you can really argue against them.

Speaker 1

There's a reason I have exposure to them and you know, I did some profit taking and I sold some off, but guess what?

Speaker 1

I want to buy them on the dip.

Speaker 1

So now I have a little bit more capital to buy them on the dip, which I'm excited to do.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

And again, we love doing the podcast with everybody and the YouTube, but you got to give a shout out to the community of Bryce, you, Rohit, Brian, Joe, and Hunter and the entire team like and you know, Hyperliquid was something that you guys called super duper early.

Speaker 0

And if somebody like that's listening to this isn't aware of the community, again, there's always links in the bio if you want to check it out.

Speaker 0

I think we got some dollar trials.

Speaker 0

Again, this is kind of the time to be upping your education, upping your knowledge around the space, because the volatility, is here and with volatility comes opportunity.

Speaker 0
