Have you ever fantasized about hypnotizing that hot bartender who flirts with you into coming home with you so you can get him across your knee for a good firm spanking?
Well, too bad.
That's not how it works.
But that doesn't mean that hypnosis can't actually improve your spanking play by helping you find your headspace as either a stern top or a misbehaving bottom.
Steve joins Hot Bot Scott to talk about the intersection between hypnosis and kink.
Listen on, dudes.
Welcome to episode 64 of the dudes spake a dudes podcast.
This is not a podcast about seventeenth century UFO sightings, nor is it a podcast about their wildest awards show scandals.
This is a podcast about dudes who are spanky dudes and dudes who are being spanked by other dudes.
This episode is hosted by two dudes.
Hi.
This is Steve.
Hey, Steve.
Welcome back.
This is Scott, also known as Hot Bot Scott.
It has been I don't know how many episodes you have been on at this point, but it's been a lot.
It it's been a few, and I always enjoy being here.
是的。
Yep.
是的。
Yep.
And I specifically asked you on this episode because of the episode subject is something that you are an well, I I don't know if you would call yourself an expert, but you certainly know more than probably anyone else in our speaking community about, and that is hypnosis.
And we will get to that.
But first of all, it's it's been a few months.
I had a very busy holiday season, so I was not able to record anything.
So how were your holidays?
Oh, they were great.
It's always nice to have a a quiet break every once in a while, and this year, it definitely was.
So a lot of fun.
Hope yours were good as well.
是的。
Yes.
是的。
Yes.
It was nice and relaxing.
Just just spending time kind of away from things other than this the the our OTKLA Christmas party.
So I so I did at least get some spankings in, but mostly, it's been a relaxing fall, relaxing Chris holiday season, Christmas, New Year's, all of that sort of thing.
So but trying to get back now in the swing of things, and that means we have to talk about first about before getting into hypnosis about various upcoming events.
So first, hopefully, I'll get this up in time.
If not, that's why I already recorded a special announcement.
Hot Seat Vegas
Registration for Hot Seat Vegas opens on January 24, which is a Saturday starting at 1PM eastern time, 10AM pacific time.
Hot Seat Vegas will be this year, July 22 through July 26.
I already talked about it in the episode 63, but for those who might not have listened, check out hotseatvegas.com for more info for that.
We're changing venues again.
We've got a great hotel that's gonna have a lot of space.
It's gonna have gonna be a lot of fun.
You'll want to register early if possible to try and get up in the floor that we have, and our we start off with a block.
We have a contract for a block of 90 rooms, so we wanna get everyone in there.
And if we go over that, we'll have plenty of time if people register early to coordinate and deal with the logistics of that.
So please, if you can't register on the twenty fourth, that's fine, but please, please don't sit and wait on this one.
Following that, in March, of course, hot seat retreat comes back.
This will be our fifth year.
是的。
Yes.
It's weird because we started 2020, but but COVID erased a year, so this will be year five.
It's gonna be March 18 through the twenty second.
The resort, of course, is full, but there are overflow hotels nearby, and we'd love to have you all there.
And you, Steven, will be there.
Correct?
I absolutely will.
And the role play tracks will be back, and you again will be helping with the principal's office role play track.
And looking forward to that for sure.
是的。
Yep.
So if there are any students who have been getting themselves in trouble, you might have to deal with principal wait.
What is your title?
Is it principal Steve, vice principal Steve?
Oh, principal Steve.
And I'm happy to deal with all of the students who happen to need to be dealt with.
好。
Yeah.
And the pink lanyards are back, and I am I'm realizing that I could still be a bully as a bottom, so I am working.
I am I imagine me making the the plotting fingers where, you know, you're just have the hand in front of you.
I'm making sure anyone with a pink lanyard gets good and spanked, including myself.
So based on some of the feedback we've gotten from the pink lanyard boys saying that they want more.
They want they want they want to be targeted and and really, really focused on for spanking.
So I'm gonna work on that.
And then a new event I want to talk about by our buddies from Badass Weekend in Georgia.
This wasn't announced until after I did the live recording last in the last episode, in episode 63, they brought this up on, I think, the last night of Badass weekend.
They have launched a new event called Badass weekend unplugged.
It will be taking place in April from April, and it's gonna be taking place at the same resort in Augusta, Georgia.
And what they're doing, the reason it's called unplugged is it's not going to have all the programming and the planning and the catering and all that stuff.
So it's just going to have a $50 registration fee.
You'll be booking your own room.
There are no minimum requirements.
It's very simply structured.
They have if you If you haven't been to Badass weekend, know that even though it's an old resort or hotel from back in the 50s and 60s highway era, It's been remodeled.
It is a gay resort, and it has a built in dungeon, and so they'll just be using that dungeon for play spaces.
There is an on-site cafe that will be for breakfast, but there aren't going to be organized catered meals during the event, but groups will be going out to restaurants and all that sort of thing.
They won't be having any workshops like they usually do, but there'll be some organized activities.
So it's gonna be a cheaper event.
I I can't promise that the flights will be any cheaper the way that the way the flights are due, but it's only a $50 registration fee.
So and in exchange for that, you're not getting all the food, which just goes to show how much money we, those of us who organize these events, have to spend on food.
如果你感兴趣,请访问 bawevent.com。
If you're interested, go to bawevent.com.
And so that is it for our upcoming event.
Oh, and also, of course, Camp Red tails will be coming up also in July.
All of these events, as always, are listed up on WAPPZ, w h a p p z.
So check out WAPPZ, and get more information about all of these planned activities and a host of other parties that take place around the country and on and around the world.
And so with that, let's talk about hypnosis, which probably seems super weird for someone who doesn't hasn't really been part of this baking and kink community and hasn't really seen hypnosis and interest in hypnosis growing in our various communities.
Steven, you have come out to various events, but baddest weekend, where you hypnotized me, and we'll talk about that, and my hot seat events, and have done classes where you talk about and demonstrate hypnosis.
First, we'll just talk about hypnosis in general, and then we'll get into what hypnosis can actually do or benefit those of us who are into spanking.
So let's start with, like, how how did you get into this?
Well, I I I think like like many people, my introduction to hypnosis was actually through a stage hypnosis show when I was in college.
I remember watching the hypnotist who was a very talented and fairly well known at the time hypnotist and thinking, That's really cool and I'd like to learn more about that.
That prompted me to first start reading about it, then to start watching videos about it, then to actually get formally trained in hypnosis.
As I was going through, what really intrigued me among other things was what is the relationship between hypnosis and kink?
So it's been a building interest over a number a number of years that's, led to this point.
Interesting.
So let's let's bust some myths about hypnosis.
So so we'll start rather than talking about first what hypnosis is.
Let's talk about what it isn't because people have, pop culture have given us a lot of wild ideas about what hypnosis is.
Pop culture certainly has, and I would go so far as to say that most depictions of hypnosis in pop culture are fairly inaccurate as to what it's really all about.
You know, the biggest myth, the biggest thing that people think is that hypnosis is some kind of mind control where the hypnotist can cause the person being hypnotized to do anything that they want them to do.
And, there there are two points at least on which that is incorrect.
One, hypnosis is absolutely not mind control.
In fact, I would go so far as to say that hypnosis is really grounded in quite a bit of self control.
What a hypnotist is doing is helping an individual turn off the part of their mind that's a little bit judgmental and negative that says, can't do that.
Helping them to be able to experience things that they would like to experience.
The hypnotist does not and in fact cannot turn off the part of somebody's mind that says, I won't do that.
It's not mind control and it's not something where you can make an individual do something that they don't otherwise want to do, that they're not willing to do.
Hypnosis really puts a lot of power in the hands or the mind of the person being hypnotized to free themselves and to explore things that they would like to explore.
是的。
Yeah.
So it can't make you do something that you're not inclined to do, but it can really prompt you to engage in behaviors that there are whatever, there are mental blocks that are stopping you from doing.
So for example, how outside of community things, an example of what hypnosis can do in the real world, practice, is if someone is inclined and genuinely wants to quit smoking, but smoking is addictive and it's a struggle, hypnosis can help with that, right?
Yeah, absolutely.
And what you said is the key point that they're inclined and they generally want to accomplish it.
If that's the case, then hypnosis can help them with that.
There are actually a number of clinical applications of hypnosis.
And I really wanna emphasize that it's not a parlor trick or a game.
There there are a lot of very beneficial uses that it can bring.
So let's talk about what it feels like or or what really happens when we are hypnotized?
Well, I I can give you a general answer, and and I'm sure you have some perceptions to share on this as well now.
But, you know, there are times where I've hypnotized individuals and in fact, taken them very deep into hypnotic phenomena.
And when they emerge and they come out of the hypnotic state, one question that I'll ask is, so tell me, do you think you were hypnotized?
And the answer that I will sometimes get is no, I wasn't.
And I'll ask, I'll say, okay, why do you think you weren't?
Because everything that I'm seeing you actually were.
And the answer I get is, well, I knew where I was and I knew you were talking to me and I knew you were giving suggestions.
That's absolutely true.
You're not going to become a zombie.
You're not going to go into a sleep state.
You're going to know where you are.
You're going to feel the chair you're sitting in.
You're going to know that someone is speaking to you.
It's not a sense where your mind just drops off and vanishes.
Now, it can have a feeling that's very relaxed.
Some people feel deep, deep relaxation and they just sink back into that chair and feel good.
But really, it varies by person.
So if someone asks, what does hypnosis feel like?
One answer that I sometimes give is it feels like what you think it feels like because for everyone, it's going to vary a little bit and there's no one standard.
But just what what I really wanna tell people is don't assume that if you feel like you know what's going on, you're not hypnotized.
You very well can be hypnotized and still feel like you're in a moment.
是的。
Yeah.
That was very much my experience, and and we'll get into that.
One of the one thing that you are very big on talking about when you were giving these these classes or or seminars or whatever you wanna call them about hypnosis is that we already do this to ourselves.
对。
Yes.
Could you explain that?
是的。
Yeah.
当然。
Absolutely.
So hypnosis is a state of consciousness.
It's distinct from the normal waking state of consciousness.
But if you think about what a hypnotist does, all a hypnotist is doing is talking to someone, and your mind is what's doing the work.
Well, there's self hypnosis.
You don't need someone to guide you into hypnotic state.
So I'm gonna give a couple of examples here.
If you've ever been watching something on television and you become so engrossed in that program that the rest of the room fades away and all your attention goes onto that screen.
Maybe when the program is over, you say, that was great.
It must have been thirty or forty minutes.
You look at your watch, it was two hours.
Or if somebody were to come in the room and just speak to you, you jump startled because you're so invested in what's playing on that screen.
That's actually a trance state that you're in at that point.
Another example that I think might be familiar to this audience.
If you've ever been involved in a spanking scene of some kind and your headspace is so deep that, again, the room where you're in doesn't matter.
You may be playing in it's a hotel room just melts away as you go into whatever scene you're doing.
And again, you might feel that time compression and feel like ten minutes have gone by when it's thirty minutes.
And you feel so in the zone and in sync with your partner that everything just flows naturally.
Again, that is a trance state.
We can create this ourselves as a way to give ourselves the gift of pursuing something that we're really committed to, really interested in, and that for the moment becomes our reality.
Again, that's a trance state.
Hypnosis is a lot like that.
We all probably have done this and certainly have the capability of doing this.
是的。
Yeah.
In several podcast episodes, when I talk about how I behave as a bottom, one the things I mentioned and because I I it's it's I don't wanna say it's unique because I've heard other guys doing this too.
I actually met someone else at Badass Weekend who also did this, which was when I am in my headspace as a bottom and the spanking starts to get intense, I start to growl, and I've made it very clear that this is not something that I choose to do, and it's not something that I control.
It's just something that happens, and that is a form of self hypnosis.
Correct?
It certainly sounds like it.
是的。
Yeah.
Absolutely.
That actually occurred to me while you had me under, and and that's so why everyone's really saying, oh, this is you know, after you were describing this, and I was feeling the space, and I was feeling you know?
And and it's like, oh, when I'm being spanked and I get to that point, that is a trance.
And the growling is just sort of a a manifestation of how I'm feeling at that moment and that I want that moment to to stay that way.
So you've brought these lectures and demonstrations to Bettis Weekend, to Hot Seat.
You you've given demos, and I ended up it's funny because as an organizer, I had never actually been able to attend your events at my own at either hot seat because of other things that were going on.
So Badass weekend comes around.
It's like, I'm going to attend this because I haven't been able to do that.
And, honestly so I had a motive for attending, and I think I kinda made it very clear to you even I think we chatted before the class, I think.
We did.
And one of the things I struggle with, I struggle with getting into bottom head space, and I'm very open about it and how important that's why that that I keep bringing up the growling, and the growling is super important to me because I have an extremely active mind, which works for me very well professionally, works very well even as an event organizer because I'm always thinking of things that might need to be and, you know, and that works out really well.
It can get in the way of being a good bottom.
It's one of the things that's frustrated to me and one of the things that I'm looking for ways to deal with.
And I was thinking that hypnosis might be a way to do that.
And while I was under, that was kind of one of the revelations.
It's like, oh, I am doing that.
I just need to figure out how to make it happen.
So that was my motive.
And you gave the speech.
Much of what we were talking what we're much of what you're talking about here in the podcast episode is kind of the intro to what you what you did in this class, this seminar.
And then you did a demonstration for the audience where you put us a little bit under and then had us do a a hand gesture, a particular or putting our it's impossible to explain in a podcast, but it was a little trick where you slowly made us put our fingers together.
And I did that, and I was immediately very surprised.
So that whole active mind issue, I'm not a, you know, I'm not skeptical about what hypnosis can do, but I was very skeptical as to whether or not I could be hypnotized, whether my mind would relax enough for to allow it to happen.
And so it did.
And so I was super excited.
And, like, at that moment, I was sitting there watching my fingers do the command.
I'm like, it works.
It absolutely works.
So I immediately was like, the minute you asked for a bunch of volunteers, my hand just shot completely up because I knew I wanted to do it.
So he brought you bought, what, six of us up in chairs.
是的。
Yes.
And the interesting yeah.
And the interesting so we did a full well, not full, but we did a demonstration.
And what was interesting for me is I did it me four of us I think four of us went more deeply under than two others.
And the two who didn't go as deeply under was me and another person, another guy.
But it was interesting that it wasn't fully my mind didn't, like, you know, reject it, but it was true.
So I would accept some physical suggestions.
There was one point where, you know, we had, you know, we had us relaxed, close our eyes, and I couldn't open them.
And I even kind of tested a little bit.
I I felt like I could break the hypnosis if I wanted to, but I didn't want to.
Mhmm.
And one point where you had us demonstrate that we were under by having us, like, raise have our our hands on our thighs and just raise our pinky finger or that our pinky finger would you didn't tell us.
The pinky finger would raise itself.
是的。
Yes.
And I was like, well, how does that and then I could feel it, and it was doing it on its own.
And I that actually, again, made me kind of weirdly excited internally because I thought it would all fail.
But what didn't work for me was mental suggestions, and I think that was the because you had us suggest us fantasize some fantasy role play as being a character that wanted a spanking.
I believe that or what was it that you asked us to do?
To to visualize yourself as whatever whatever character, whatever persona that that would work for you in building Spanking Headspace.
And that I I left it very open for top or bottom and what particular any particular kind of role or just a general notion of Headspace.
对。
Yeah.
是的。
Yeah.
That didn't work for me and the other guy.
And then there was a post hypnotic suggestion afterwards that when after he got us out, when we heard applause, we would stand up and say, I need a spanking.
And that worked for a couple of them, but it did not work for me.
So talk about that a little bit.
所以。
So
there's a lot to unpack in there.
One one thing that that I would say, if if, if you were coming in and thinking, oh, I don't know if this is really going to work.
The fact that you reached any depth is actually pretty remarkable because, one of the prerequisites typically for getting into a fairly deep state of hypnosis is coming in saying, yeah, I want to do this.
I'm ready to do this.
It's a little bit more of a challenge when there's some skepticism.
Now skepticism is healthy, don't get me wrong.
But to me, that just signals an even greater degree of success on your part.
But you mentioned having an active mind.
Some people are able to quiet their active mind more easily than others.
And actually, there are different hypnotic inductions that are designed for people who have really active minds that are just going and going versus those who are able to quiet them more easily.
There are different pathways to hypnosis based on how active your mind is.
The one that I was using with the group was a fairly quick induction that's designed to get some depth pretty rapidly and is designed to quiet the mind and bring what are really the two key two of the key aspects of hypnosis.
One is having very focused attention and one which means that the mind is quiet and able to focus on one thing, and minimizing peripheral distractions, minimizing a concern about what else is going on in the space or what other noises are and things like that.
From what you just said, you were able to accomplish that, to have some focused attention, to minimize those peripheral distractions, and to follow the physical suggestions like as you said, having your finger go up, having your arm be able to lock into place and things of that sort.
That's great by the way.
Now, without getting deep into neurological research, there's a little bit of a debate about stages of hypnosis.
In the very classical world, the view is that there are different levels of hypnotic depth and being able to have, what you experienced is kind of, an an upper level of depth and then it can move deeper getting into things that would be associated with headspace.
New research is showing that the neural pathways that lead to hypnosis actually vary by person, which of course makes sense, and that some people are able to reach different experiences not in terms of depth, but just some people are very adept at responding to the physical sensations.
Some people are very adept at responding to the visualizations and imaginations.
It really varies by person, but everything that you've described is a success.
Once you've been hypnotized, by the way, it becomes easier to go back into translator and to reach even deeper levels or different levels, if you want to call it that, in subsequent experiences.
好的。
Okay.
Let's talk about what this means for spanking.
当然。
Sure.
How does hypnosis benefit someone who's into spanking?
Well, there are several ways that it can.
By the way, one thing that I believe you mentioned earlier that we're starting to see more kink hypnosis, particularly at some of the leather events and some the broader kink events.
There are classes.
Are there are people there who offer sessions.
So it has a footprint in kink.
It hasn't really gotten a strong footprint specifically in spanking yet, but I think there are a number of ways that it could.
One way is something you've already alluded to and that is through building headspace.
If there's a particular style of headspace that somebody is seeking, hypnosis can help them either discover that or build that or both.
That can be powerful in building different kinds of scenes and experiences.
Another thing that it can do is not necessarily kink specific, but builds confidence.
Builds confidence in going out and approaching others, builds confidence, just self confidence and feeling good about your skills and your, contributions to the community.
Another thing it can do is you can actually engage in, I'll I'll call it hypno spanking.
There's a broader label of hypno kink in which you can actually produce the feeling of physical sensations without any physical contact.
Whether that's having someone relive a great spanking or just visualize the sensations of what an ideal scene might be.
So those are all things that can be kind of powerful for folks depending on what they may be looking for.
And you dig that at I believe you did that at one of the Vegas seminars.
是的。
Mhmm.
So you had all these guys fantasizing about a spanking that they received or their their best spanking or their their most wanted spanking.
How did that go?
Yes to all.
It's about building, building a sensory memory and we think about, the visual aspects of that, the auditory aspects of that, and how that actually physically felt, the kinesthetic aspects of that.
And what I what I invited people to do because again, I can't make anyone do anything, but what I invited people to do if they wish to do so was to remember a particularly, memorable and positive spanking experience they had had either as a dom or a sub, and to really process that memory, to think about what it felt like, to think about the sounds that they heard, to think about the feelings that they experienced and what they saw.
And not as though they're looking at themselves from afar, but I invited them to see through their own eyes what they would have seen, to hear through their own ears what they would have heard.
We went through some exercises to build that.
Then the suggestion that I gave was that every time I clap my hands, it was as though they were either giving or receiving a SWAT similar to what they gave or received in that most amazing spanking that they had felt.
In one particular session that I did, there were folks who every time I clapped my hands and I also told them, Each time I clapped my hands, that feeling is gonna get even more intense, so we were building it as we went.
But there was one demonstration I did where people were actually yelling and jumping out of their seats, and from all appearances, really enjoying themselves as well.
It is wild.
So let's talk about, you have hypnotized people for scenes themselves.
Correct?
没错。
Correct.
Can you give an example of how that played out?
当然。
Sure.
I'll share one experience.
By the way, the individual that I worked with on this gave his consent for me to share this in a non identifiable way.
I also do believe you know, respecting discretion and confidentiality with that.
But there was an individual who particularly enjoys school based scenes, as do I.
And What he was seeking was the opportunity to very quickly get into headspace.
Those of us who do role playing, sometimes it takes a little bit of time to build scene and get into that headspace and get to the point where we say, Okay, yeah, everything is moving along.
He wanted a quicker way to do that.
Similar to what I just described with reliving a powerful spanking, I invited him to visualize not the spanking itself, but to visualize the scene setup.
He likes school scenes, he wanted to envision being a student outside of an office waiting to be called in.
Again, we went through some exercises based on visualizing what that would look like.
There are a number of ways we can do that, but again, what's really key to the mind if you wanna build these things is building in a visual component, building in an auditory component, building in that kinesthetic component.
Then really escalating those, seeing things even brighter, hearing things even louder, and allowing that to build what that scene looks like.
Then, I gave a, what we call a trigger.
A trigger is a physical motion that someone makes that and here's the instruction I always give when it is safe and socially appropriate to do so.
That trigger will allow you to drop almost instantly into that headspace because your mind has associated that movement, whatever it may be, with that particular headspace that you want to accomplish.
Again, we always say when it's safe to do so, so you know not when you're driving, not when you're distracted, when it's socially acceptable to do so.
So not in the middle of the grocery store if you happen to make that gesture.
So he took that and used it numerous times to very quickly descend into a headspace that was really powerful, that was able to enhance that scene for him.
That's how it can help to generate that kind of headspace.
Now, I'll go back to what I said earlier.
Once you're in that headspace, once you're in any kind of kink or spanking role play or just general headspace, subspace, dom space, you're occupying a trance state at that mind.
This is just a way to help get there more quickly.
是的。
Yeah.
So headspace is kind of inherently a form of self hypnosis?
Absolutely, yes.
So yeah, and you talk about getting into headspace like this.
If any these, what are the reasons I couldn't get into a deeper headspace, deeper hypnosis state in the demonstration that we did is little messages.
My active mind kept saying, hey, Scott, you're hypnotized.
Isn't that neat?
And so I was like, a lot of time I was thinking about, oh my gosh, I actually am hypnotized.
And they kind of got in the way of the experiences.
But while I was hypnotized and I made that realization during hypnosis that my growling was a form of trance, then my next thought, once I kind of was in that space, thinking is like, can I trigger headspace by making myself growl?
是的。
Yes.
Let me just jump back to one thing.
If your mind was kind of going through that, oh my gosh, I'm hypnotized, if a hypnotist knows that, there are ways to help we call it incorporation to build that in to say something like, allow yourself to notice that you're hypnotized and allow yourself, if you'd like to do so, to focus on how wonderful that makes you feel and how cool that really is and to lead you to see what else you might accomplish while you're in this hypnotic state.
So there are ways to incorporate that and to build that in.
But to get to your question, yes, absolutely.
That could be one of those triggers that can help put you into that headspace.
It'd be a very similar kind of thing.
Again, it has to start Hypnotically, it would have to start while under hypnosis building and identifying that headspace that you wanna occupy, and then simply giving the suggestion that you have the ability to growl and you have the ability to do that when you would like to.
And if you choose to do that in a place where it's safe and socially acceptable to do so, allow that to be your gateway to take you deeply into that headspace and continue with whatever scene you're experiencing.
So that absolutely could function in that way.
Awesome.
对。
Yeah.
Because that's always like what I've been thinking about was like, well, what if I could what if I and I've actually started trying to experiment on this, but I haven't had enough spankings since beta, so we can really play into it, is, like, starting to growl even though I'm not in that trance state.
So purposefully growling and sending that message, just sort of sending a message to myself and to whoever's baiting me because I always let people you know, guys who are spaking me know that when I start growling, that means I'm in my headspace.
是的。
Yes.
And so just me trying to just make it happen.
And so, like, if I were to do that, I I would it would what I would want, it would be as simply as, like, Scott, when you get spanked, the the once the spanking starts, that's your trigger to start growling.
You know?
That's what I kind of like and that's what I would want to happen.
And then which would signal both to myself and to whoever is spaking me.
You know?
没错。
Right.
And and that's a that's a reasonable goal?
That is absolutely a reasonable goal.
And quite frankly, you've already done a lot of the work on your own because you have been in that headspace multiple times.
You're already familiar with that headspace and this would just be taking it to that next step to accomplish your goal.
Because it's your goal, that makes it stronger.
Again, hypnosis is not mind control, it's about building self control and helping the mind achieve what you want to achieve.
You've set that as a goal that you want to achieve that makes any kind of hypnotic suggestion even stronger because we don't have to overcome why is this a good thing or try to convince you, convince your subconscious mind that you want to do it.
You've already made that decision that you want to Right.
Do So that's even stronger.
对。
Right.
So much of our discussion about nosis is really focused a lot on subs or bottoms and getting them in this space.
Are there benefits for tops and domes on getting these sort of hypnosis suggestions?
Absolutely, and really it parallels that for subs.
I know we do talk a lot more about subs, but doms have headspace that they want to occupy.
In fact, sometimes I don't know if you've experienced this as a dom, I know I have, I know other folks have as well, that sometimes it's hard to get into dom headspace because you're also caring for and monitoring your sub.
Now you never want to give that up.
As a Dom, it's your responsibility to provide that ethic of care as you're going through.
Are there ways that you could help maintain that, of course, but also find it easier to move into headspace?
当然。
Sure.
Absolutely, it can help with headspace.
It can help again with that confidence.
Now, again, respecting that a good Dom needs to have their skill set and hypnosis cannot replace that.
But if the Dom has their strong skill set, they have their game, but they're just not as confident about going up and asking people to play or proposing what they'd like, then hypnosis can help them with that.
Hypno spanking that I talked about, that can easily be from a Dom perspective as well.
Really Dom sub is not the critical consideration.
It can work on both sides very easily.
是的。
Yeah.
For example, as a Dom, I hadn't really struggled with confidence or tech Well, we're always learning on our technique.
Right?
We're always work learning on learning learning and going and learning when we're playing with the bottom.
当然。
Absolutely.
You know?
But one of the things that has always been a struggle to me was to be a character, to do any to inhabit any sort of role as a Dom, particularly if someone was into daddy or principal.
Any sorts of those type of authority figure role plays were really, really difficult for me.
So is that something that hypnosis could help on?
It could help, but I wanna emphasize that if it's something that is kind of a more artificial construction that I really don't wanna occupy this role, then that's still going to be a little bit of a struggle.
Hypnosis can't make you occupy a role that you don't want to occupy.
But what it could do is it could help you identify and, occupy traits that could be associated with that kind of role.
So even if you don't wanna be a principal, well, principles convey what?
A certain authoritarian voice, a certain very directive voice.
You can help build those kinds of traits.
So so so yes, it it could help.
But but again, if it's not something that you truly wanna do, that's always the key consideration.
是的。
Yeah.
So as far as I know right now, you're the only person in our community that has skills in this area.
But as you had noted, there are other there are other hypnotists coming out in in the kink community.
If someone is interested in potentially learning these skills, like, not being hypnotized, but, you know, I in my mind, I'm thinking when this episode goes out, you are going to be inundated.
Even I I wanna do another I wanna do another session with you Oh, absolutely.
And and working on, you know, working on that.
But if there are other people who are potentially, like, who are thinking out there, I wanna help make this happen for other people, what what should they know?
What should they be doing?
当然。
Sure.
There are folks in our community who definitely have the interest in pursuing this.
Know I've talked to several, but what I typically recommend are several things.
One, get hypnotized yourself.
It's hard to do this and to be able to really understand it without having experienced it.
In fact, I mentored with a hypnotist and that was part of how I learned.
The very first thing he did was hypnotize me.
It's like, okay, that was absolutely necessary understand the phenomena and to be able to do what you need to do.
Second, certainly talk to folks who know something about it and who can understand what you want to accomplish, what your goals are, and give you some specific direction.
Now, I will recommend what probably the not probably, what is the leading textbook on kink hypnosis.
It's by a hypnotist named Mark Weissman and it's called Mindscape.
There's also an accompanying workbook called the Mindscape Workbook.
I don't often like to do plugs, but this one I think is definitely worth it.
It's a very solid textbook of hypnosis generally, and it then gives a variety of different kinds of kink applications.
It's very sound, it's scientifically informed, it's thorough, it has a focus on safety.
If you're trying to do self education, it's an excellent resource and it actually gives some exercises that can help in skill building.
Ultimately, if you really want to get into it, again, find a hypnotist, mentor with that person to help build those skills because reading is great, watching videos is great, practice is what really develops it.
With that, that is a lot to process.
It is.
And so I I'm going to assume there's gonna be probably a lot of demand for you to to keep doing these sort of classes and and seminars and and samples of hypnosis at spaking events.
So you can look forward to that.
Is there anything else to add for what would you say to someone who's well, I mean, we've already made it very clear that that you're not going to be doing anything that you wouldn't be willing to do.
But anything that you would want to add for anyone who's a little bit nervous about this, especially bringing it into spaking play that revolves around any sort of kink play that revolves around pain.
是的
Yeah.
Of course, the rules, safe sane, consensual are always still going to apply, and that should never be erased.
But if somebody is interested but nervous, find somebody who knows how to do hypnosis that you can really talk to and talk about what it is because this varies person to person.
Talk about what is it that makes you nervous?
Why do you want to experience it?
What do you want to accomplish from it?
See if you can do a demo session with that.
For someone who's more nervous about it, that's generally not the time to do it with a panel of other people in front of an audience.
That's not gonna help make you any less nervous.
But a quiet one on one kind of demonstration saying, alright, hey, I hear what you're saying.
I'm I see you're interested.
Let me just show you some some phenomena.
That might be the way to take a first step into it and see how it resonates.
With anyone who's a hypnotist, always have that conversation first and make sure they understand your goals and what you're trying to accomplish because this is not one size fits all.
When I do the demos, I'm doing stuff that has registering with the greatest number of people, but realistically, it's not one size fits all.
Saw that in the demonstrations, each of the demonstrations that I've done, different people respond differently.
Tell someone what you're interested in and what you're seeking and go from there.
Awesome, awesome.
So if anybody has any questions or wants to, of course, beg you to hypnotize them and help them get involved with this, how should folks reach you?
Well, I am a presence at the events.
