Welcome back to the ESL Pit Row podcast season five episode three.

很遗憾，这周Jess和Axel都没能来参加。

Unfortunately, I was unable to have Jess or Axel be able to join me this week.

Our schedules didn't quite line up enough to be able to get them in here for the podcast.

So I'll be doing a quick rundown of what happened in week two and then what to look forward for in week three here by myself today.

As we look at what happened over in SLM at Thompson Speedway, during stage one, Chris Lee and Kyle Thompson were battling back and forth a little bit for stage one.

Eventually, Chris Lee just kinda maintained his pace and took the stage.

然后我们再看第二阶段。

Then we look at over at stage two.

情况差不多。

It was a little bit of the same.

进站的车手不多，但JNK车队的新秀车手Odette Boudreaux利用她进站换的新轮胎，在大家轮胎磨损严重的情况下，一路超车，冲到了前面。

Not many drivers pit, but then Odette Boudreaux, the rookie driver over for JNK, was able to use her new tires that she did pit for and was able to work her way through the field as everyone's tires were wearing down.

And she she managed to capture stage two.

到了第三阶段，基本上就是一场消耗战。

And then we look at stage three, it kind of just became a battle for of attrition.

很多车手整场比赛都没进站。

Many drivers didn't pit throughout the entire race.

那些在第一阶段后进站的车手，他们的轮胎优势也在慢慢消失。

The stage, the drivers who did pit after stage one, their tires were kind of equalizing out a little bit.

So when we look at it, it was just a battle of who can maintain pace on on aging tires and Allen Dreddy was able to come out on top of that, grabbing the first win for the wrecking Crew this this season.

If I'm not mistaken on that one.

And since Axel's not able to join us this week, I figure I try to keep up his tradition with the top teams in each division or each series division, whatever you want to call them.

Give a little shout out to the teams that did well.

And the first team we're looking at over here, for the SLM series was Jay and Kay as Odette Boudreaux and Otis Boudreaux, the husband and wife duo, were able to do another double top 10 finish.

Odette was able able to hang on for third, and Otis brought in ninth.

Low Fuel车队也表现不错。

Low Fuel also had a pretty good showing.

Second place for Javier, seventh for Wheezy.

Wrecking Crew车队也发挥得很好。

Wrecking Crew, they also put up a good performance.

他们是最后被点名的车队，阿尔拿下了胜利。

They were the last team to be shout out here as Al took home the win.

AJ这周从上周的第六名提升到了第五名。

AJ improved on her sixth position last week to fifth this week.

所以，从这两周来看，Rhett和Crew在Superlaid系列赛中表现最出色。

So, we're looking at Rhett and Crew is looking like the class of the Superlaid models this season so far through two weeks.

We go over to the truck series.

前两个赛段基本上是Jim Dean的故事，他是Epic车队的新秀车手，一开始就给Kyle Storm展示了该怎么跑，他拿到了杆位，然后基本上一路领先拿下了第一赛段。

The first two stages were kind of a story of Jim Dean, rookie driver over Epic, kind of showing Kyle Storm how to get it done initially as he qualified on pole and he pretty much ran away with stage one.

Stage one was all his, not really much to say about that.

他建立了很大的领先优势，在车流中穿梭自如，没怎么被耽误，顺利拿下了第一赛段。

He got a pretty good lead, worked his way through traffic, didn't really get slowed down and was able to take stage one.

In stage two, it was more of the same.

He came out in first because he didn't pit, so a whole bunch of people behind him pit.

Stage two, again, got a big lead, didn't get slowed down by traffic.

马丁斯维尔的赛段比较短，所以吉姆·迪恩能够轻松获胜。

The stages for Martinsville were pretty short, so Jim Dean was able to run away with it.

然后到了第三阶段，情况就不同了。

And then stage three, it was a different story.

His tires were getting older and we saw what ended up being a storyline throughout the week, the races at Martinsville this week was it was a battle between who could maintain pace on older tires.

Is it the group that didn't pit through the stages, and then they were gonna pit around lap 140?

Could they maintain pace well enough to, for that 140 to get them in back in striking range and to take advantage of their fresh tires while the other drivers were on old tires versus the crew that pit after stage two and wouldn't pit again until almost the 165, 170 range, or 160, actually closer to 175, because I remember some cars were only getting about 25 laps on new tires.

Which strategies were working best throughout each individual race?

We did see a switch up later on.

But for this race, Jim Dean was trying to do the one stop strategy, couldn't quite maintain his pace on the older tires.

It became difficult for him to pass, lapped cars with the older tires as those lapped cars were actually on fresher tires.

But then Chris Lee and Justin Chris came up and just took over the race.

So, had their fresh tires and they started leapfrogging each other back and forth through the stage.

And then once everyone once, you know, the the one forty crew got to their first pit and the the one the two pit strategy got there, it was kind of how well did you keep yourself in striking range?

Unfortunately, for Jim Dean, he fell a little bit too far back, but Darren Lakeley and actually Thomas Noble were able to make some strategies work here for them.

As at one point in time, the Northern Lights team was one, two, and three, but Chris Lee was in the right positioning as they were hitting more traffic.

And once the Northern Lights group got, brake checked, he was able to get underneath all of them and he made a move with about two laps left.

When we look at the teams that performed well for the truck series, the first team we're gonna have to take a look at here, this time was J and K.

It gets a little bit of a shout out here.

They did did well on two of their their trucks.

As Otis and Harry Peters came sixth and seventh.

Unfortunately for Bubba Wallace, he was only able to grab twenty seconds.

So, mean, still getting two out of the top 10 was pretty good.

And then you look at Epic Esports Motorsport Epic Motorsports.

As Kyle Storm was able to lead his team with Jim Dean, they took out Jim got fifth, Kyle got eighth.

Chaos Markman got eleventh.

So, right outside the top 10, but three pretty good performances.

And then Northern Lights, as I had already alluded to, they had all three of their drivers up front as they ended up going two, three, and four.

I believe it was Thomas Noble, second, Justin Chris, third, Darren Lakeley, fourth.

And so, we look over at Xfinity this time, we had similar situation from trucks.

One driver early on qualified on pole, ran away to the races.

It was Kenny Floris this time.

The first first two stages, it wasn't really even a contest.

He got big gaps on everybody.

Didn't even look like he was slowing down going through traffic.

It wasn't much of an issue for him.

Clearly had some really good pace.

Stage three, like I had already talked about previously in the trucks, was the battle of the the one stop strategy versus the two stop strategy.

Were you able to hang on well enough?

And and Doug had tried to make the two stop strategy work like it did for Chris, but unfortunately, he wasn't really he didn't really have the pace to break away from the pack to get through the traffic as easily.

And eventually, Katie was able to hold on.

I think at one point when he was getting close to his pit stop, was only about three to four seconds behind the leaders and he had yet to stop for new tires.

So, stopped, he got the new tires, and he was able to just get back on pace with those fresh tires.

He did have a couple top tens last season, but that is his first win since and he also since joining our team, I wanna give him a big shout out.

We did have also one record for Xfinity to look at, and I'm pretty sure y'all probably know what's coming since we were talking about Kenny having the pace.

Kenny did smash the fastest lap record that was set by Garrett Wolfenbarger of the old wide knuckle motorsports.

And then when we start to look at the teams that also performed well over in Xfinity, the first crew we have to give a little bit of a shout out to was Epic this time.

They got the two thirds drivers in the top 10.

You know, Epic had Ace Blade, the rookie, finished fourth.

His back to back top fives for him, Rich Pratchard took home ninth, but then there was an issue with Auchineau.

Couldn't really see what had happened to him, but he finished back in thirty fifth.

另外还要提一下Wrecking Crew International，Mike Concho拿了第六，Killmonger basket第七，Lizzie McLover从Daytona的第三十六名反弹回来了。

And then also wanna give us a little bit of a shout out here to Wrecking Crew International as they had Mike Concho finished sixth, Killmonger basket seventh, and Lizzie McLover bounced back from her thirty sixth place at Daytona.

她在马丁斯维尔拿到了第十五名。

She got fifteenth year at, Martinsville.

And then you also gotta look at the two teams that did nail three top tens or close to it, really.

And then the, story just like trucks, Northern Lights, my team did really well on Xfinity.

It's two series where we really did build a lot of our points throughout this week.

So then we look over at NASCAR, and NASCAR was the one I said there was a little bit of a change up in the strategy only by one driver, which we'll hit in a second, but it was a lot of fun to see and when I saw it I was like wow he literally just won the race for himself right there.

And so alright.

We start off Apex had a a one two.

They took the front row of the grid with Gerald Smith and Stuart Zamilia.

He was not able to get, undercut, by the other drivers.

He managed to work through traffic pretty well.

So it was it was a good win for him.

And stage three, that's where you see the fresh the two stop strategy really take effect because those two stoppers get those fresh tires.

And, it was something to watch David Dunwoody, unlike all the other fresh stop tires or cars, they weren't able to work through the field as fast, but David Dunwoody, I don't remember how he'd do it, maybe I have to go back and check, but he really caught a lot of the cars in the right places and worked his way through the cars that were doing the one stops.

And he took a pretty massive lead for the beginning part of stage two up until the one stop strategy was about to take a hold.

And then when it looked like you started to lose a little bit of pace and it was like, alright, this is where the one stoppers get their fresh tires and they try to make a dent in the gap of Dunwoody.

He already had a massive lead on them, So, he stopped early, got the fresh tires with them, and it was, I remember myself, like the race with the race chat, as soon as I saw that, I literally typed, there's the winner right there, because that was something else to completely be able to make sure that no one really got a gap on you and got in front of you for when you came for fresh tires.

And the only other thing we can look at was the only person that gave him a little bit scare, Jess, as he was hoping for his first win for the team over at J and K.

Back in the winter circle.

I want to say since.

Maybe season three, but I think it was season two.

So shout out to the guy who does our paint jobs as well as a lot of the paint jobs in the league and shout out to Jess over Jess and and JNK because that was their first career win over in the NASCAR series after putting up a a nearly a team victory last season.

他虽然没有拿到冠军，但表现真的很出色。

He was really able without getting a win.

虽然差了三分，但没夺冠的情况下，他还能有这样的竞争力。

It was fell three point short, but without getting a win, he was able to compete like that.

And now he's able to find the winner's circle for the first time and put up a really good week weekly performance, which we will talk to in a second.

Over in the NASCAR team's results, though, We do get to shout out my team one more time as the two thirds rule.

我记得Tracy McDaniel拿了第二名。

As I believe it was Tracy McDaniel got second.

Evan Ethel延续了他的强劲表现，拿到第四名。

Evan Ethel continued his strong performance fourth.

还有Eric Davis，我们这赛季的NASCAR老将，他在Daytona遇到问题后，这周成功反弹了。

And then Eric Davis, our veteran NASCAR driver for us this season, he was able to bounce back from a issue he had in in Daytona.

这周他拿下了第十五名。

He took home fifteenth this week.

不过要说表现特别好的两支车队，那就是Apex了，我们之前提到过，Gerald Smith和Stewart在发车位上排在前两位。

But when you wanna talk about the two two teams that did really well, it's Apex, as we had already mentioned, Gerald Smith and Stewart were on the one two positions in the the grid.

Stewart Zameli最终把那个位置转化成了总成绩第三名。

Stewart Zameli was able to turn that into a third place overall.

Billy Bob Souter从Daytona的糟糕表现中恢复过来，这周拿到第六名，而他在Daytona只排第二十四。

Billy Bob Souter recovered from a rough Daytona to sixth this week, after finishing twenty fourth at Daytona.

I did wanna mention real quick that David recovered from a really rough week one as well.

So all in all, those are pretty good result for the NASCAR team.

And although David really ran away with the race, he did not set the fastest lap record.

Now that we're done with the NASCAR series, we're gonna switch over to the road courses over within the GT three series.

We went to the a new track for us this season, the Hung Garo Ring.

这是我们第一次去那里。

It's our first time being there.

多亏了Eagle Mondavi帮忙搞定赛道的事。

Thanks to Eagle Mondavi being able to help out with the tracks.

我和Axel之前提过，我们觉得这条赛道会更考验技术。

We had mentioned myself and Axel had mentioned how we thought this was going to be a more technical track.

技术好的车和调校才能赢下比赛，但这话是从一个对赛道布局还不太熟的人嘴里说出来的。

And the technical cars and setups were going to be able to win the race, but this was coming from someone who's a little bit more inexperienced with track layouts and everything.

结果这条赛道其实还挺均衡的。

And it actually turned out to be kind of a really balanced track.

我们之前提到的一点确实没错，就是直道对于像法拉利和保时捷那种速度型赛车来说，速度还不够快。

One of the things we did mention that held true was the straights weren't really fast enough for the cars that were more of the speed cars like the Ferraris and the Porsches.

他们没法在入弯和超车时获得足够的优势，但这条赛道又刚好让那些技术型赛车能稳住并顺利入弯。

It wasn't enough of a run for them to get a good run into the corners and overtaking the corners, but it was also just enough for the more technical cars to hold on and then get into the corners.

And with the series of back to backs, where a back to back corners, they were able to get back in front.

所以，这条赛道真的很难超车。

So, it was a really hard course to pass on.

And so there wasn't a ton of shifting.

So when we look over at stage one, again, stages for the GT3 are are when we're considering where everyone pits, because there are roughly about two pits per race for GT3.

So for the first stage, Doug Brin, he grabbed pole, and he actually started opening up a really good lead.

And then he had caught onto one of the lap traffic cars, that had been having trouble with traction, which was actually quite a few.

But as he was trying to get around one of the lap traffic cars, it again spun out in front of him and blocked him up and caused his car to stall.

Which didn't hurt him as bad as it could have because it was luckily right around the same time that everyone was going into the pits anyways.

So he was able to get back out on the track and get back into the top 10.

Stage two Brogan had take was taking advantage of Doug getting stalled out and pushed back in the grid.

It was it was kind of crazy to see, until he did hit some lap traffic and, you know, as we had already stated with the difficult course to overtake on.

But he held on to a a really comfortable win, gets Apex back in the winter circle.

所以现在Northern Lights赢了一场，Apex也赢了一场，而Apex可是上赛季GT3的霸主。

So now we have one win for Northern Lights and one win for Apex that the who had dominated, last season in GT three.

现在看起来可能轮到David Leathers了，他超过了Bobby Leo Mockson和Eagle Mondavi，取得了领先。

And now it's it looks like it might be David Leather's turn as he he took the lead over Bobby Leo Mockson and, Eagle Mondavi.

现在看GT3的车队成绩，Epic拿到了第二和第三。

Now when we look at, the GT3 team results, Epic did have the twothree.

他们把Jim Dean放在了第二位。

They got Jim Dean in there at second place.

Rich Fractured排在了第十二位。

Rich fractured in there at twelfth.

不幸的是，Brent Bullard继续着他本赛季糟糕的开局，最终只拿到第二十八名。

Unfortunately, Brent Bullard continuing his rough start to the season as he took home twenty eighth.

然后 Apex 拿了第一，车手是 David Leathers，这个我刚才说过了。

And then we had Apex get first place with David Leathers, I already talked about.

Bobby Leo 成功突围车流拿到第三，Eagle Mondavi 则利用进站策略完成 undercut，超了几辆车，最终排在第十五位。

Bobby Leo was able to work through the traffic to get third, and Eagle Mondavi would use the pit stops to undercut a few other drivers, get out in front of them, and got fifteenth.

So they got three points there or, well, they got three point finishes there.

接着 Northern Lights 延续了他们第二周的强势表现。

And then Northern Lights continued their strong week two.

Unfortunately, our highest position was only fifth, with Rhett Sawyer, myself, Justin Chris followed up his win from last week over into eighth this week, and Doug Britton was able to recover for a top 10 finish after his issue earlier on.

And then there was all new records.

我其实就不细说那些新纪录了，因为没什么可对比的，之前没有成绩可以参考，所以你也看不出大卫·莱瑟这次比之前的其他人快多少。

I'm not really gonna go over the records that were set brand new because it's nothing really to judge against because there are no previously set runs, so you don't get to see how fast David Leather was compared to someone else previously.

But I did wanna say congrats to him.

He not only was the winner of this week, he set the most laps led, and he also set the fastest fastest lap this week.

And like I said, that that pitch strategy was great by his crew this week.

And then for back to back weeks over on the best team performance, he did give it to Northern Lights as well as we are already hit on.

You know, outside of if we can ever figure out the super late model, we might actually put up a dominant week here and there.

As of right now, because we we saw the two, three, or four in trucks, the the one, two, five in Xfinity, the two, four in NASCAR, and then an all top 10 over in GT three as well.

So that's why he ended up giving it to us.

I'll start talking about them more since we are moving to a longer format.

不过，NASCAR 总排名前五的车队，第五名是 Low Fuel，这周他们拿了 290 分。

The top five teams for NASCAR overall though, we look at fifth was Low Fuel as they put up two ninety points this week.

实际上，第四名是并列的，考虑到现在车手这么多，还挺疯狂的。

Tied for fourth actually, as crazy as that is for how many drivers there are now.

有两支车队并列第四。

We had two teams tied for fourth.

Epic Motorsports 和 Apex Predator 这周都是 326 分。

Epic Motorsports and Apex Predator both had three twenty six points on the seat on the week.

不过，他们稍微落后了一点。

However, they were a little bit behind.

中间有点差距，JK 这周以 382 分排在第二。

There's a little bit of gap as JK got second at 382 points this week.

然后，Northern Lights 和我勉强赢了 Jess。

And then, Northern Lights and I had barely beaten out Jess.

We got 386 points.

It was a four point gap between us two this week as the top two performance in NASCAR.

Third is Epic with six eighty three.

第二名是Northern Lights，七百零一分，第一名是JNK，Otis延续了上赛季的稳定表现，目前暂列第一，这周拿了七百零四分，或者说前两周吧。

Second is Northern Lights with seven zero one and first is JNK as Otis continues his consistency from last season as he takes first at the moment seven zero four points on the week or through the first two weeks I should say.

在GT3那边，Desperado又从Brian Delb Junior那里拿了九分，这让他们这周排第五。

Over in GT three, Desperado's got another nine points from Brian Delb Junior, which gives them the fifth on the week.

第四名是Brew Crew。

Fourth is Brew Crew.

They had a pretty good performance.

I believe that was, William Thompson to give them 13 points on the week and fourth.

Ninth is Can Am, eighth is Wrecking Crew, seventh is Brew Crew, sixth is Low Fuel, fifth is Desperado with 18 points, fourth is J and K with 26 points, Third is Epic Motorsports with 36 points.

第二名是Apex Predators，或者说Apex Predator。

Second is Apex Predators as they or Apex Predator.

Eagle特意提醒我不要在末尾加那个s。

Eagle made a point of me not putting that s on the end.

Apex Predator这周拿了41分，赛季总积分达到了56分。

Apex Predator with their 41 points from this week gives them 56 on the the the season.

然后北极光队因为第一周表现特别好，现在有76分。

And then Northern Lights has 76 because of the really good week one that they had.

And then when we're looking ahead to week three for sun Southern.

超级晚模型车将前往南波士顿。

Super late models are looking, going to South Boston.

NASCAR is going back to the road course, going back to Watkins Glen Cup, or the other name that Kyle Storm is giving you.

I don't know if he's trying to jinx, jinx us, but you know Kyle Storm is calling the Northern Lights weekend.

And then GT3 goes back to another new track in Amola.

And I'm gonna take my shot at trying to guess what we were gonna be dealing with here.

Unfortunately, I don't have an axle here as well.

I say, you know, after learning a little bit about how the tracks play out a little bit with Hung Garrow Ring, I think Emola probably ends up being in the more balanced category, but it actually may favor some of the the higher speed cars because there are some decent straightaways in between these turn combos.

而且对于技术型赛车来说，没有那么多的连续弯道可以让它们保持优势。

And there's there's not as many combos of turns for the technical cars to be able to hold off on.

所以我还是觉得它会是一条比较平衡的赛道。

So I still think it'll be balanced.

我们看看整条赛道整体表现如何，不过看起来是一条挺有意思的赛道。

We'll see how it plays out overall in the track, but it looks like a pretty fun course.

There's a lot of little high speed sections into some serious braking zones.

So I can't wait to see how the cars do out on the track.

Oh, one thing to mention about the NASCAR series race is that we're going to the cut version of the cup layout of the track, unfortunately, but the way the update happened this season, the other road courses that we had to choose from, they were unstable for NASCAR, the NASCAR series.

So we're having to do Watkins Glen twice this season.

We're gonna go to the cup first here in week three, and then I believe in week seven or eight.
