There's literally like podcasts with people like recommending microdosing meth as a pick me up during the day, which is fucking insane.

After the pandemic, you know, mic sales, microphone sales, these podcast mic sales went up like crazy.

But I find it weird that people judge certain fields or certain professions by the worst that that profession has to offer.

For example, the world has too many podcasts.

Because we read some article about some terrible sociopathic doctor or some terrible doctor, some malpractice incident.

We don't just automatically think the entirety of it is a joke.

But for some reason I've never seen anyone judge like stand up comedy or podcasting or YouTube.

More often than not, I see people saying something about YouTubers based off of the worst content on YouTube, as opposed to the mountains of great content that actually exists.

And it's probably because that's harder to find.

It requires more work to find good content.

Terrible content somehow finds your face and decides to put itself right in front of your face, even if you're lying on some couch or on the floor all day scratching your ass.

That's precisely how terrible content works.

Rage bait, you know, just just terrible slop has this incredible ability to get to you, to find its way to you, regardless of how much effort you don't put in.

But good content, quality content, you got to look for it.

So when someone decides to put down an entire industry or entire art form or entire like community or entire something based on the worst they have to offer, quite often they're speaking much louder about who they are, and not about what they're talking about.

If you're basing your opinion of something that someone else loves based on the worst of the content or worst of what it offers, is probably because you're living in a way where you're only exposed to the worst of it.

If you actually went out of your way to understand or find the cream of the crop of what that person loves, if you put in that a little bit of effort, then you might not do that.

But they also make it seem the way they say it and their whole vibe, they make it sound like it's for me and not for them.

You can either just not tell me that and find four people that want to see the show and fill those tickets, or you should've just never asked.

但你们偏偏提前一天才告诉我，好像这问题得我来解决一样，这就逼得我要么赶紧找人顶上，要么就得亲自把票退给主办方，赶紧卖给真正想看的人，还得祈祷能在当天搞定。

But what happens if you tell me this a day before, as if I have to solve this issue for you, is that either I have to find someone or I have to take those tickets physically back to the concert planners, the the the the promoters, and quickly sell the tickets to somebody who really wants it and and pray that it gets delivered within the day.

对吧？

Right?

So it's just just a lot of headache for the person who has to go into brain surgery the next day.

Maybe it's like a company thing or it's like a year end thing or it's like a reunion or something.

你身处其中，有个人走过来，他可以选择直接自我介绍，或者如果你们之前见过，就轻轻提醒你：嘿，你还记得去年在水牛城鸡翅店见过吗？

You're at this place and someone comes up to you and they have the option of just introducing themselves or if you've run into each other before, just softly reminding the person, hey, we met at the, remember the Buffalo Wing place last year?

但偏偏总有人不选这些选项，而是直接说：你不记得我了，我发誓，这种人在任何超过20人的社交场合都存在。

But instead of choosing any of those options, there's always this person that chooses the you don't remember me I swear to God, they exist at every social gathering where there's more than like 20 people.

他们一走近你，第一句话就是：你不记得我了，而我只能回答：不，我不记得。

The first thing they will say as soon as they come up to you, you don't remember me, And I'm like, no.

Why not just tell me?

But there's always someone that does that and I I really truly don't get it.

很多时候，我反而处于相反的情况：我会主动走向某人，我知道以前见过他们，或者以前一起工作过什么的。

Quite often, I'm in the opposite situation where like, I will go up to somebody and I've, you know, I've run into them before or, you know, I worked with them before or something.

我能感觉到他们不记得我了。

And I get the feeling that they don't remember me.

I'm not gonna just say, you don't remember me, right?

The worst is when it's happening when I'm in a like a triangle situation where I'm with somebody and this other person comes up and does it to that person.

And I'm sort of stuck there watching this awkward moment happen.
