And today, we are actually talking about fruit.

没错。

We are.

Yes.

我特别爱吃水果。

And I love eating fruit.

Me too.

你最喜欢哪种水果？

What kind of fruit do you like?

除了香蕉，我特别喜欢浆果，还有青苹果和红葡萄。

Oh, besides bananas, I really love berries, and I like green apples and red grapes.

我爱吃各种水果。

I like lots of fruit.

你呢？

How about you?

是的。

Yeah.

我特别喜欢吃水果。

I really like fruit.

我每天都尽量吃点水果。

I try to eat fruit every day.

和你一样，我也喜欢苹果，但不只是青苹果。

And like you, I like apples, but not just green ones.

红苹果我也很喜欢。

The red ones, I like those too.

还有橙子，我也爱吃冷冻浆果。

And oranges, and I like frozen berries

你刚才提到橙子了。

So with my you mentioned oranges.

橙子有点甜，但其实更酸，对吧？

Oranges can be a little sweet, but they're actually more sour, aren't they?

对。

Yeah.

酸中带点尖锐。

Sour or sharp.

尖锐。

Sharp.

是啊。

Yeah.

对。

Yeah.

这种味道在橙子这类水果里很明显，柠檬和青柠就更明显了。

That's the taste that you get from fruit like oranges, and more so with lemons or limes.

这些都叫柑橘类水果。

These are called citrus fruit.

是的。

Yeah.

柑橘类水果。

Citrus fruit.

它们的味道更偏酸。

They have a more of a sour taste.

对。

Yeah.

咬一口柠檬，那味道就是酸的。

If you bite into a lemon, that's sour.

是的。

Yeah.

你咬柑橘类水果时那个表情。

The face that you make Yeah.

咬到柑橘类水果的时候。

When you bite into something citrus.

是的。

Yeah.

你更喜欢甜水果还是酸水果？

Do you prefer sweet fruit or sour fruit?

对。

Yeah.

我喜欢甜水果，而且我比较喜欢熟透的水果。

I like sweet fruit, and probably I like fruit when it's ripe.

明白了。

Okay.

那什么叫熟透？

What does that mean, ripe?

就是说它已经可以吃了。

It means that it's ready to eat.

通常这时候最甜，而且汁水也多。

It's at its sweetest, usually, probably quite juicy.

如果

If

水果多汁，意思就是里面有汁水，汁水是液体，水分很多。

fruit is juicy, it means juice comes from it, and juice is a liquid, watery.

如果水果熟了，那就是快要坏掉或者变质的时候了。

And it's if it's ripe, it's just before it goes bad or goes off.

对。

Right.

我明白了。

I see.

所以如果我们以香蕉为例，绿色的香蕉可能还没熟，不能直接吃。

So if we're thinking about bananas, for example, a green colored banana perhaps isn't ready to eat.

它不像黄色的香蕉那样熟透了。

It's not ripe like a yellow banana.

对。

Yeah.

但那种带点棕色斑点的黄香蕉，才是熟透的。

But a yellow one with sort of brown bits on it, that's a ripe banana.

对。

Yeah.

对我来说有点太甜了。

They're a bit too sweet for me.

我比较喜欢那种刚刚好的状态。

I kind of like that middle.

是的。

Yeah.

我喜欢黄色的香蕉。

I like yellow bananas.

那干果呢？

How about dried fruit?

你喜欢干果吗？

Do you like dried fruit?

哦，你问得真好。

Oh, I'm glad you asked.

是的，我特别喜欢干果。

Yes, I really like dried fruit.

所以我经常吃葡萄干。

So I will often have raisins.

葡萄干就是晒干的葡萄。

So raisins are dried grapes.

所谓干，就是没有了原来的汁水。

And dried means that it doesn't have any of that juice or liquid.

贝卡，这里有个非常重要又有趣的问题。

So Becca, here is a really important and interesting question.

如果你这辈子只能吃一种水果，你会选哪一种？

If you could only eat one fruit for the rest of your life, which would you choose?

哦，这真是个很难回答的问题。

Oh, that is a very difficult question.

我们聊了很多自己喜欢的水果，但 probably 是香蕉，因为我每天都吃。

We've talked a lot about the fruit that we love, but probably bananas because I do eat them every day.

要是哪天没吃香蕉，我反而觉得挺不习惯的。

It feels quite strange to not eat a banana every day for me.

我还特别喜欢香蕉面包和香蕉干。

And also I really enjoy banana bread and dried bananas.

我刚才居然把它们给忘了。

I completely forgot about those.

香蕉干真的很好吃，所以香蕉的吃法其实特别多。

They're really tasty so yeah, there's lots of things you can do with bananas.

大概就是这些了。

Probably those.

你呢？

How about you?

你会选哪种水果？

What fruit would you choose?

我觉得，可能听起来有点无聊，但苹果才是完美的零食。

I think, maybe it sounds boring, but the apple is the perfect snack.

吃个苹果之后，整个人都会感觉很好。

You always feel good after an apple.

对。

Mhmm.

而且它咬起来声音特别带感。

And it makes a fantastic noise.

咬一口苹果时，那个声音叫作脆响。

When you bite into an apple, that noise is called a crunch.

那声音真的很舒服。

And it's a very it's a very nice sound.

确实是种很悦耳的声音。

It is a nice sound.

所以我们可以说苹果是脆脆的。

And so we can describe apples as being crunchy.

这就是形容词。

That's the adjective.

对。

Yeah.

好的。

Okay.

现在我们来回顾一下学过的词汇，先从‘酸’开始。

It's time to recap the vocabulary that we've learned, and we'll start with sour.

比如柠檬或者醋，就是这种味道。

And that is the taste for example in lemon or in vinegar.

它不怎么甜。

It's not very sweet.

柑橘类水果，像葡萄柚、橙子、青柠，都特别酸。

Citrus fruits for example like grapefruit, oranges, limes, they are very sour.

我们用‘成熟’这个词。

We use the word ripe.

成熟指的是水果已经可以吃了。

Ripe describes fruit which is ready to eat.

我们还学过‘多汁’，这个词形容含有水分或汁液的东西。

We also had juicy, and that's an adjective to describe something that has juice or liquid.

比如多汁的水果，像草莓，你一咬下去，汁水就会流出来。

So for example, a juicy fruit like a strawberry, when you bite into it, juice will come out of it.

我们还提到过干果。

We also heard about dried fruit.

干果里的水分都被去掉了，有时候是靠太阳晒干的。

Dried fruit has had all of the juice taken out of it, sometimes by the sun.

比如葡萄干就是一种干果。

So for example, raisins are dried fruit.
