Speaker 0

大家好。

Hello, ladies and gentlemen.

Speaker 0

您现在收听的是卢克的英语播客。

You're listening to Luke's English podcast.

Speaker 0

今天我要和我的朋友阿玛尔聊聊,她不仅是个有趣又善良的人,现在还怀孕了。

And today, I'm going to talk to my friend Amber, who as well as being an interesting and lovely person is also pregnant.

Speaker 0

事实上她怀孕挺久了,宝宝再过几周就要出生了。

In fact, she's really pregnant because the baby is due in in just a few weeks.

Speaker 0

所以我决定采访阿姆伯,让你们听听她悦耳的口音。

So, I've decided to interview Amber so that you can listen to her nice accent.

Speaker 0

同时也想让大家了解,一个怀孕的英国女孩生活到底是怎样的——我相信你们一定都很想知道。

But also, so that we can find out about what it's really like to be a pregnant English girl, which I'm sure all of you have always wanted to know.

Speaker 0

我本人就特别好奇。

I certainly have.

Speaker 0

这期节目大概会这样展开。

The episode is is going to go a bit like this.

Speaker 0

首先,我们会先简单认识一下阿姆伯,我会问她一些常规问题,比如她来自哪里之类的。

First, we'll get to know Amber a little bit and I'll ask her the usual questions like where she's from and all that kind of thing.

Speaker 0

然后我们会聊聊怀孕这件事,真实的生活是什么样子。

And then we'll talk about being pregnant and what it's really like.

Speaker 0

阿姆伯会跟我们分享她的亲身经历。

Amber can tell us about her experiences.

Speaker 0

所以这期节目会包含大量关于生育的词汇。

So, this episode is going to feature lots of vocabulary on the topic of having babies.

Speaker 0

不是讲怎么生孩子,那种带劲的俚语和脏话,你得去听讲 slang 或 swear words 的那几期。

Not making babies, because you'll have to check the podcasts about slang or swear words for that kind of fruity language.

Speaker 0

不对。

No.

Speaker 0

而是讲怀孕、分娩这些事相关的表达。

But the language of having a baby, being pregnant, and giving birth.

Speaker 0

希望咱们聊得干净利落,别太粗俗。

Hopefully, we'll keep it nice and clean and not too messy.

Speaker 0

所以对话里会自然冒出很多相关的短语和词汇。

So there'll be lots of phrases and vocabulary coming up naturally in our conversation.

Speaker 0

不过我也整理了一份跟怀孕和生孩子有关的词汇和表达清单。

But I've also made a list of vocab and expressions associated with pregnancy and having a baby.

Speaker 0

最后,我会逐条给你讲解这些词的意思。

And, so finally, I'll go through that list of vocabulary and explain it all for you.

Speaker 0

听完之后,你对这个话题的英语表达就全明白了,我觉得这事儿特别棒。

And then at the end, you'll be totally clued up about all of the English that you need to know about, this subject, which I think you'll agree is a brilliant thing.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那我们这就来过一遍清单,搞定就完事了。

So finally, we'll go through that list and I and and that will be that.

Speaker 0

这期节目可能会有点长。

So this could be quite a long episode.

Speaker 0

我建议你下载下来,分段听,或者边做别的事边听,比如通勤、做家务,或者只是窝在沙发上发呆。

So I suggest that you download it, listen to it in stages, or just listen to it while you're doing something else, like traveling, doing the housework, or just sitting on the sofa and staring into space.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

Okay?

Speaker 0

很好。

Good.

Speaker 0

那我们开始吧。

So let's go.

Speaker 0

片头音乐。

Jingle.

Speaker 0

你好,Amber。

So hello, Amber.

Speaker 1

你好,Luke。

Hello, Luke.

Speaker 0

再次恭喜你。

Congratulations again.

Speaker 1

谢谢。

Thank you.

Speaker 0

我不确定现在再道喜是不是合适。

I don't know if it's appropriate for me to say congratulations again at this stage.

Speaker 1

当然可以。

You can.

Speaker 0

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 0

当然了。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对一个怀孕的人说恭喜,有时间限制吗?

Is there a time limit on when you can say congratulations to a pregnant person?

Speaker 1

我觉得没什么时间限制。

I don't think there's a time limit.

Speaker 1

但我认为恭喜的次数还是有个合适的范围。

I think there's an appropriate number of congratulations.

Speaker 0

你知道这个合适的次数是多少吗?

Do you know what that number is?

Speaker 1

我觉得一两次恭喜就够了,再多了就显得你根本没记住,反而有点不礼貌。

I think one or two congratulations is fair enough and then it's obvious you've forgotten and then it becomes a bit rude.

Speaker 0

其实我第一次意识到你怀孕的时候,没及时说恭喜,现在想想有点晚了。

I think actually the first time that I realized that you were pregnant, I didn't say congratulations early enough.

Speaker 0

你有察觉到吗?

Did that did you realize?

Speaker 0

你注意到这件事了吗?

Did you notice that?

Speaker 0

你肯定注意到了。

You probably did.

Speaker 1

没有。

No.

Speaker 1

真的没有?

No?

Speaker 0

因为这个我们待会儿再聊。

Because well, we'll come to this in a in a minute.

Speaker 0

这事儿就是关于什么时候该向怀孕的人道喜。

This is the the subject of knowing when to say congratulations to someone who's pregnant.

Speaker 0

不管怎样,能来你这儿真好,Amber。

Anyway, so It's very nice to be here, Amber.

Speaker 0

我现在在你家。

I'm in your flat.

Speaker 0

你还给我泡了杯茶,真贴心。

And you've given me a cup of tea, which is lovely.

Speaker 0

谢谢你的分享。

Thank you for that.

Speaker 1

不客气。

You're welcome.

Speaker 0

那么,你现在已经怀孕几个月了?

Now, first of all, so how many months pregnant are you now, in fact?

Speaker 1

我快八个月半了。

I'm eight and a half months pregnant.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

所以快到预产期了吧?

So so it's sort of it's nearly due, I suppose.

Speaker 1

很快了。

Very soon.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

关于怀孕的事,我们待会儿再聊。

We'll come to the pregnancy thing in a minute.

Speaker 0

不过首先,咱们来聊聊你,阿姆伯。

But first of let's let's talk about you, Amber.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

跟我们说说你自己的情况吧。

So tell us a little bit about yourself.

Speaker 0

你到底是哪儿人?

Where where are you from, in fact?

Speaker 1

我来自伦敦。

I'm from London.

Speaker 0

明白了。

K.

Speaker 0

哪个部分?

Which part?

Speaker 1

伦敦西北部,伊德加尔。

Northwest London, Edgeware.

Speaker 0

哦,是吗。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我知道那地方。

I know it.

Speaker 0

我知道埃奇韦尔路。

Well, I know Edgeware Road.

Speaker 1

那不一样。

It's not the same.

Speaker 1

对。

No.

Speaker 1

远得多。

It's much further away.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Right.

Speaker 1

六区。

Zone 6.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那确实挺远的。

That's that is quite far.

Speaker 1

从技术上讲,伦敦还勉强拉着边儿,就在伦敦的边缘上。

Technically, London is hanging on, clinging to the edge of London.

Speaker 0

所以这是去伊格韦尔的地铁站?

So it's it's a a tube station for Edgeware.

Speaker 1

伊格韦尔。

Edgeware.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

是哪一条线的终点?

Which

Speaker 1

北线的尽头。

The end of the northern line.

Speaker 0

原来如此。

I see.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

确实如此。

Very yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

有埃奇韦尔路,还有埃奇韦尔。

There's Edgeware Road and then there's Edgeware.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我猜很多人会把它们搞混。

And I expect people get them mixed up.

Speaker 1

确实会,但我无所谓,因为埃奇韦尔路其实比埃奇韦尔好多了。

They do, but I don't mind because Edgeware Road's actually quite a lot nicer than Edgeware.

Speaker 0

挺高档的,对吧?

It's quite posh, isn't it?

Speaker 0

埃奇韦尔路。

Edgeware Road.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

所以埃奇韦尔路,是北线的终点站。

So Edgeware Road, top of the northern line.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

不过你现在住在巴黎,对吧?

And but you're you're living here in Paris now.

Speaker 0

你在这儿住多久了?

How how long have you been

Speaker 1

啊?

here?

Speaker 1

我在这儿住了十二年了。

I've lived here twelve years.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

行吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

那你的法语应该说得不错吧?

So speak good French, I imagine?

Speaker 1

嗯,法语说得挺好的。

Well, quite good French.

Speaker 1

除了我婆婆,别人都能听懂我说的每一句话。

I mean, everyone apart from my mother-in-law seems to understand everything I say.

Speaker 0

那为什么你婆婆听不懂呢?

Why not why doesn't your mother-in-law resist?

Speaker 1

我觉得这是她在耍手段。

I think it's her power play.

Speaker 1

我觉得每次我见到她,她都会故意曲解我的话,好让我难堪。

I think she likes to undermine me every time I see her by deliberately misunderstanding me.

Speaker 0

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你觉得她是故意曲解你的意思?

You think it's intentional misunderstanding?

Speaker 1

我觉得这可能是无意识的。

I think it's subconscious.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 1

我觉得我抢走了她的儿子,她唯一的儿子,她这是在报复我。

I think I've stolen her her son, her only son, and she's trying to get me back.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

通过故意曲解。

By by misunderstanding.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

哦,笑我发音。

Oh, laughing at my pronunciation.

Speaker 0

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 0

她平时也这样吗?

Does she do that then?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

她确实会。

She does.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

这让你感觉怎么样?

How does that make you feel?

Speaker 1

反正我赢了。

Well, I've won.

Speaker 0

说到底,你赢了

Ultimately, you've won the

Speaker 1

我赢了。

I've won.

Speaker 1

赢了奖品。

Won the prize.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

我正在了解婆媳关系的一些事情。

I'm learning something about the relationship between a mother and and her daughter-in-law.

Speaker 0

挺有意思的。

It's interesting.

Speaker 1

说到底,婆媳之间总有些摩擦和矛盾,再加上语言上的差异,情况可能更明显,毕竟她占着上风。

There's always, you know, there's always, like, tensions and troubles, but with the language, it can play out that way because she does have the upper hand.

Speaker 1

她可不会像我这样搞混性别。

You know, she's not gonna confuse gender like I will.

Speaker 1

但其他方面,她都是一样的。

But but in everything else, one.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那具体来说,Amber,你平时都做些什么?

So what do you do actually, Amber?

Speaker 0

你在这儿具体是做什么工作的?

What do what do you do as a job here?

Speaker 1

我教小孩子英语。

I teach English to children.

Speaker 0

哦,真的啊。

Oh, Very

Speaker 1

都是很小的孩子。

young children.

Speaker 0

他们多大了?

How old are they?

Speaker 1

四岁。

Four.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那教四岁孩子是什么感觉?

So how is it teaching to four year olds?

Speaker 1

有时候挺有挑战性的。

It's challenging at times.

Speaker 1

挺可爱的,但得经常搞手指画。

It's very cute, but there's quite a lot of finger painting.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

真正教课的时间没多少。

Not that much teaching.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

手指画多,教课少。

Finger painting and not much teaching.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

教孩子学英语确实挺难的,对吧?

So it's it's hard, isn't it, teaching kids to speak English?

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yes.

Speaker 1

因为他们根本不想学英语。

Because they they don't want to learn English.

Speaker 1

是他们父母逼着他们学的。

Their parents want them to learn English.

Speaker 1

所以他们就觉得我笨,干脆不理我。

So they just they just think I'm stupid and ignore me.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

不然就跟我讲法语,还纳闷我怎么不回应。

Or try and speak to me in French and think why is she not speaking Yeah.

Speaker 1

用法语。

In French.

Speaker 0

你有没有想过,他们心里到底怎么看你?

Do you do you ever wonder what what they think you are?

Speaker 0

我以前在日本教孩子,可能吧,我长得跟他们不太一样,我觉得。

Because I I used to teach kids in Japan and maybe, you know, I'm I I look quite different to them, I suppose.

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

我以前试着用英语跟那些四岁的孩子说话,有时候会发现他们盯着我看,眼神里透着疑惑:你到底是谁?

And so I used to think I used to try and speak English to my four year old kids and they used I sometimes would catch them looking at me with this sort of look on their face of like, what are you?

Speaker 0

那种感觉不是他们在努力听懂你,而是在努力搞清楚你到底是什么东西。

This kind of like, not even I'm trying to understand you, but I'm trying to understand what you are.

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

你有没有觉得,他们其实是在想:她发出的这些声音到底算什么?

Do you ever get that impression that they're just thinking what what's what is what are these noises that she's making?

Speaker 0

这根本不是法语吧?

Is this this isn't French?

Speaker 0

这听起来像外星语言吗?

Is this some alien language?

Speaker 1

我觉得是。

I think so.

Speaker 1

我感觉就像《查理·布朗》里的那种情况。

I I feel it's like the the Charlie Brown syndrome.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?《查理·布朗》里的老师总是发出‘哇啦哇啦’的声音。

You know, the teacher in Charlie Brown just sort of says, wah wah wah.

Speaker 1

我觉得他们根本不在乎。

I think they're just whatever.

Speaker 0

他们根本就听不进去。

They just zone out it.

Speaker 1

他们根本就心不在焉。

They zone out of it.

Speaker 1

他们根本没兴趣。

They're not interested.

Speaker 1

我用英语跟他们说别乱动、别打人,他们却完全当没听见。

And then I'll tell them in English, like, stop wiggling around or stop hitting each other, and they'll just ignore me.

Speaker 1

可法语老师一用法语说,他们马上就听从了。

And then the French teacher will tell them in French, and then they'll do it.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

对你来说,你就是在那儿说话,他们却一脸茫然:啥?

So for them, you're just going, like that, and they're like, what?

Speaker 0

就只是噪音。

Just the noise.

Speaker 0

就是一片嘈杂声。

Just the general noise.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

行吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

这个问题可能有点奇怪,但我们是怎么认识的?

So strange question, perhaps, but how do we know each other?

Speaker 1

我们是通过说喜剧认识的。

We know each other from doing comedy.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

我们不是每周六都有个节目吗?

We actually have a show, don't we, on Saturdays?

Speaker 1

是周六晚上。

Saturday nights.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

每周六在索热内斯地铁波诺维尔站。

Saturdays at the Sogieness Metro Bon Nouvelle.

Speaker 1

波诺维尔大街38号。

38 Boulevard Bon Nouvelle.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

在吉姆纳塞剧院,那是一家历史悠久、气势恢宏、在巴黎以喜剧演出闻名的剧院。

In the Theatre de Gymnasse, is an amazing, very old sort of very grand looking theatre with a great reputation for comedy shows in Paris.

Speaker 0

但我们不在主剧场。

But we're not in the main theatre.

Speaker 0

我们其实是在楼上的酒吧。

We're actually in the bar upstairs.

Speaker 0

但氛围依然很棒。

But it's still brilliant.

Speaker 0

所以如果你在巴黎,各位朋友,一定要来参加英国美国喜剧之夜。

So if you're in Paris, you know, ladies and gentlemen, come to the Great British American Comedy Nights.

Speaker 0

名字有点长,不太好记。

Slightly complicated name.

Speaker 0

英国美国喜剧之夜在索容广场38号,博努维尔大道举行。

The Great British American comedy night, which is at the Sojourn Mass 38 Boulevard, Bon Nouvelle.

Speaker 0

值得专程飞越半个地球来看这场演出。

It's worth traveling across the world to come to see the show.

Speaker 0

真的特别好笑。

It's seriously funny.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

那我们聊聊你的怀孕吧,如果你不介意的话。

So let's talk about your pregnancy if that's alright with you.

Speaker 1

好的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

那这事是怎么发生的?

So how did that happen?

Speaker 1

你想让我解释一下吗?

Would you like me to explain?

Speaker 0

其实不用了。

Actually, no.

Speaker 0

你不用讲得太细。

You don't don't have to go into the details.

Speaker 0

这个问题孩子有时候真会问,对吧?

Actually, is a question that kids ask sometimes, isn't it?

Speaker 0

比如他们总会问,宝宝是从哪儿来的?

Like how where do they you know, they say things like, where do babies come from?

Speaker 0

你准备好怎么回答这个问题了吗?

Are you prepared for that question?

Speaker 1

你的学生?

My students?

Speaker 1

当你

When you

Speaker 0

有一天你的孩子问起这个问题的时候。

do From your from your your child one day.

Speaker 1

我觉得你最好尽早告诉他们。

I think you just need to tell them as soon as possible.

Speaker 1

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 1

趁他们还觉得这事很神奇的时候就告诉他们,别等到他们开始觉得尴尬、变得特别较真了。

Before it's, like, embarrassing when it's still sort of just, like, amazing, and then they will become very factually aware.

Speaker 0

没错。

And Yes.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

越早越好。

Sooner the better.

Speaker 0

所以得特别早就开始讲。

So so very early on.

Speaker 0

有些父母会编个故事告诉孩子,你觉得你会这么做吗?

Just to what extent are you some parents choose to tell their kids some story, you know, like they make up some story.

Speaker 0

他们会把事情说得温和一点。

They kind of sugarcoat it.

Speaker 0

你会这么做吗?

Are you gonna do that?

Speaker 1

我小时候有一本书。

Well, when I was little, had a book.

Speaker 1

我妈妈给了我们一本叫《我从哪里来?》的书。

My mother, I suppose, gave us a book called Where Do I Come From?

Speaker 1

书里讲了精子、卵子、婴儿是怎么形成的,全都写得很清楚。

And it had all the information about, you know, sperms and eggs and babies, how they grow.

Speaker 1

还解释了什么是高潮,为什么人们不会整天做爱。

But it also had information about what is an orgasm and why don't people have sex all day long.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他们还把它比作蹦跳。

And and they compared it to skipping.

Speaker 1

对,没错。

Like Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

蹦跳确实很有趣,但你不可能一整天都蹦个不停。

It's really fun to skip, but you couldn't skip all day long.

Speaker 1

我觉得这个比喻特别好,虽然我五岁的时候还没经历过那种事,但我觉得它听起来就像蹦跳一样。

And I thought that was really pretty I mean, I'd not had sex at five, but I thought it sounded like I did like skipping

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

但我不可能一整天都做这件事。

But I couldn't do it all day.

Speaker 1

所以这本书帮我解答了很多疑问。

So it answered a lot of questions for me, think.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

越早越好。

Early as possible.

Speaker 1

把全部事实都告诉他们。

Give them the whole facts.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

行。

Alright.

Speaker 0

这样很好。

That's good.

Speaker 0

你不会是那种手足无措的父母,心里想着天啊,这问题该怎么回答吧?

So you're not gonna be one of these awkward parents who's like, oh god, how do I answer this question?

Speaker 0

你会直接跟他们说清楚。

You're just gonna tell them straight.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

不错。

Good.

Speaker 0

这个做法很好。

Good approach.

Speaker 0

行。

Alright.

Speaker 0

我现在开始好奇怀孕是什么感觉。

So I'm now wondering what it's like to be pregnant.

Speaker 0

当然了,作为男人,我很难真正体会。

Now obviously as a man I can't really imagine it.

Speaker 0

我是说,我可以努力想象,体内有另一个人在成长是什么滋味。

I mean I can try really hard to imagine what it's like to you know have another person growing inside you.

Speaker 0

你懂我的意思吧。

If you know what I mean.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

我可以尽力去想象,但还是没法真正体会到那种感觉。

I can try really hard and to imagine that, but I still can't I still can't imagine what it's like.

Speaker 0

那到底是什么感觉?

So what's it like?

Speaker 1

哦,这是个好问题。

Oh, it's a it's a good question.

Speaker 0

是啊。

It's Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得,每个人的情况都不一样,比如怀孕花了多久,是顺利还是困难,你为什么想要孩子,还有你生活中的各种状况,都会影响体验。

I mean, I think it it's obviously different for for different people and depends how how long it's taken you to get pregnant, if it was difficult or easy, you know, and why you want children and all and, know, the circumstances around your life.

Speaker 1

不过抛开这些不说,怀孕本身是分阶段的。

But then putting that aside, the actual pregnancy, it goes in stages.

Speaker 1

一开始你会觉得特别不舒服,身体状态很差,但谁也不知道你怀孕了,这事儿得藏着,不能告诉任何人。

So there's the beginning where you feel sort of a bit shit and not very well and no one knows you're pregnant and it's a bit of a secret and you can't tell anyone.

Speaker 1

有些人可能会猜到一点,试着让你喝点酒什么的。

And then some people kind of might guess and try and get you to have a drink or something.

Speaker 1

刚开始的时候你身体不太舒服,甚至怀疑是不是自己想多了,明明验孕结果出来了,可感觉又像假的。

But so beginning, you don't feel so well, and and you you kinda feel like you've made it up, that you've got the test results back.

Speaker 1

你知道自己怀孕了,但除了不能喝酒、不能吃奶酪,其他地方一点都没变。

You know you're pregnant, but nothing's changed apart from you can't drink or eat cheese.

Speaker 1

然后就是这一段,算是第一个三个月。

And then so there's that bit, and that's like the first trimester.

Speaker 1

怀孕分三个阶段,你自己的感受也跟着分成三段走。

So it's divided into three bits, and it kind of goes in three bits as well for you.

Speaker 1

到了第二个三个月,肚子开始显形了,但身体还是挺轻松的,还没觉得特别沉。

And then the second trimester, you start looking pregnant, but you still feel really good because you're not it's not really heavy.

Speaker 1

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 1

这就有点像魔法一样。

It's just sort of a bit magic.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

一切突然就都串起来了。

And everything comes together.

Speaker 1

你去做产检,对吧。

You have, like, the the scans Yeah.

Speaker 1

然后你就看到宝宝了。

And you see the baby.

Speaker 1

哪怕才三个月,宝宝看起来已经是个小人儿了,有头有腿。

And the baby, even after three months, looks like a little baby, and it's got head and legs.

Speaker 1

可不是光有个脑袋那么简单。

It's not sort of just like a head.

Speaker 1

它是一下子就长成了一个完整的小生命。

It's like it grows all in, a whole being at once.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

所以这简直像魔法一样。

So it's sort of magic.

Speaker 1

你看起来怀孕了。

You look pregnant.

Speaker 1

你可以给自己买一些孕妇专用的零食。

You can, like, buy, like, pregnancy treats for yourself.

Speaker 1

你知道,你可以告诉所有人,但你依然感觉特别开心、充满活力。

You know, you can tell everyone, but you still feel really sort of happy and active.

Speaker 1

最后阶段就有点像外星人了,他的肚子变得特别大,真的特别大。

And then the last bit is it becomes a bit like an alien because he he start getting really, really, like, this massive tummy and, like Yeah.

Speaker 1

你真的会很累。

You're really quite tired.

Speaker 1

当宝宝动起来的时候,不再是那种轻轻的胎动了。

And the baby, when it moves, it's not just like these little fluttery kicks.

Speaker 1

就像是大力踢踹,或者挺疼的,有时候脚都顶到肚子外面了,确实如此。

It's like big kicks or quite painful or like a sort of foot sticking out your your tummy, and it's Yeah.

Speaker 1

有点儿。

A bit

Speaker 0

所以宝宝踢的时候会疼吗?

So does it hurt sometimes when the baby kicks?

Speaker 1

不会疼。

It doesn't.

Speaker 1

不是说踢的时候会疼。

It it's not that it hurts when it kicks.

Speaker 1

就是感觉特别奇怪。

It just kind of feels really funny.

Speaker 1

有点儿怪怪的。

It feels a bit strange.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

但你其他的器官也都被挤着,所以还会出现其他症状。

But you also all your other organs are being squished, so you have other symptoms.

Speaker 1

比如背特别疼,因为你肚子大了,或者小腿抽筋,这感觉真奇怪。

Like, your back hurts a lot because you're so fat or your calves you get cramp in your calves, which is really weird.

Speaker 0

就是腿后侧的肌肉。

Casting your muscles on your on your the back of your legs.

Speaker 1

对,没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

就是小腿后侧的部位。

The lower part of the the back of your leg.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那确实有点疼。

That's That's a bit painful.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

展开剩余字幕(还有 480 条)
Speaker 0

我明白了。

I see.

Speaker 1

这有点奇怪。

That's a bit weird.

Speaker 0

所以这其实是各种体验和感受的混合。

So it's kind of quite a a a combination of different experiences and and feelings.

Speaker 0

那其他人是怎么看的呢?

So what about what about other people's reactions?

Speaker 0

我不是说你身边的人,而是那些你偶然认识的人,比如朋友的朋友之类的。

And I I don't mean, like, people close to you, but just sort of people you meet, you know, friends of friends and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

他们的反应怎么样?

What have the reactions been like?

Speaker 1

大多数人态度都挺积极的。

Well, most people are quite positive.

Speaker 1

通常都是过来道喜。

You know, most people just say congratulations.

Speaker 1

而且我觉得这取决于他们有多感兴趣。

And then I think it depends how interested they are.

Speaker 1

比如,如果他们有孩子,很多人会主动给你一些建议。

Like, if they've had children, a lot of people want to give you some advice.

Speaker 1

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 1

如果他们还没生孩子,但正在考虑要孩子,就会不停地问你怀孕的感觉怎么样、具体该怎么做。

If they haven't had children but are thinking about having children, then they'll pump you for information about, like, being pregnant and what's it like and

Speaker 0

就是这样的。

Be like this.

Speaker 1

该怎么做才对。

What to do exactly.

Speaker 1

或者他们根本不在乎孩子,完全不感兴趣,对你当父母这事也提不起一点兴趣。

Or they don't care about children, and they're not interested at all, and they're just like, not not particularly interested in your childness.

Speaker 1

所以普通人的反应大概就是这样。

So that's general people.

Speaker 0

那你说的那些建议呢?

So what about the the advice that you mentioned?

Speaker 0

有些生过孩子的人,总会想给你一些建议。

Some people who've had kids themselves, they try to give you advice.

Speaker 0

你并不喜欢这样吗?

And is you don't enjoy that?

Speaker 1

我觉得没人真喜欢被说教,你说是吧?

I think no one wants to have advice really, do you?

Speaker 0

对。

No.

Speaker 0

我觉得没人愿意别人把建议硬塞给你。

I suppose people don't want it to be sort of thrust upon them.

Speaker 0

如果真需要建议,他们会自己去找。

If they want advice, they look for it.

Speaker 0

但要是没人问,别人就一股脑儿地给,确实挺烦的。

But just being given advice without asking for it, I suppose.

Speaker 1

怀孕期间能接触到的信息实在太多了。

Well, there's so much information about being pregnant.

Speaker 1

书多得数不清,网站也一大堆,而且你每天都身处其中,就我个人来说,我读了不少资料,也看过很多网站,还主动找了很多专业人士聊,因为每周都要见助产士嘛,所以我感觉这些信息都是我自己主动去搜集的。

There's so many books, there's so many websites, and because you're living this every day, I mean, personally I spend I do I've read quite a lot and, like, you know, I've looked on different websites, so I feel that I have solicited information myself and spoken to lots of professional people because you see a midwife every week.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

所以我其实并不想再听别人给建议,而且别人说的往往都是他们自己的经历。

So I'm not really looking for more advice and also people tend to be quite it's about their personal experience.

Speaker 1

他们会说,你去医院一定要用上所有药物,别搞什么自然分娩这种没用的,或者‘生了孩子生活就全变了’——这些老生常谈跟我没关系,我也不太感兴趣。

So they'll say, you know, oh, you must, when you go to hospital, have as many drugs as you can, don't do any of this nonsense like having a natural birth or oh children, your life's going to change so much' I don't know, cliches or things which are pertinent to them, but I'm not particularly interested in.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我明白了。

I see.

Speaker 0

好吧。

So okay.

Speaker 0

作为孕妇,你感受到过哪些好处呢?

What advantages have you experienced as a pregnant woman?

Speaker 0

比如说,别人会在公交车上给你让座吗?

I mean, for example, do people give you their seat on the bus, for example?

Speaker 1

有时候吧。

Sometimes.

Speaker 1

有时候他们会给我让座。

Sometimes they give me my seat.

Speaker 1

有些人会主动让座,待你也挺友善的。

They some sometimes people give you their seats, and people are quite nice to you.

Speaker 1

他们还会对你微笑。

They smile.

Speaker 1

主要的好处是正好赶上圣诞节,你知道的。

The main advantage was that it's been Christmas, as you know.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我可以不用排队。

I got to skip all the queues.

Speaker 1

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 1

我很快就买完了圣诞礼物。

My Christmas shopping really quickly.

Speaker 0

不用排队?

Skip queues?

Speaker 1

可以享受优先服务。

You get a priority.

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 1

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 1

孕妇可以走优先通道。

Priority queuing for pregnant ladies.

Speaker 0

我还不知道有这回事。

I didn't know that.

Speaker 1

在机场可以不用排队。

Skip the queue at the airport.

Speaker 1

我们去度假了。

We went on holiday.

Speaker 1

我真的没排队。

I skipped the queue.

Speaker 1

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

我以前从来没注意过排队时有优先通道。

I've never noticed sort of priority lanes in in queues.

Speaker 1

有时候你得主动提一下。

You sometimes have to just ask.

Speaker 1

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 1

有时候别人也会主动让你插到前面。

Or sometimes people just let you go in front.

Speaker 1

这还挺贴心的。

That's quite nice.

Speaker 1

所以这确实是个好处。

So that was an advantage.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得,这确实是别人对待你的方式带来的好处。

I think, yeah, that was definitely an advantage of how people are to you.

Speaker 1

而且说真的,你对自己也会更体贴一些。

And I suppose, personally, you're kind of nicer to yourself.

Speaker 1

比如你会更用心地吃健康的食物,好好照顾自己。

Like, you make more of an effort to eat good food and be good.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

人们经常会有食欲冲动,对吧?

So people often get cravings, don't they?

Speaker 0

大家常说,孕妇特别容易有食欲冲动。

This is what people say, that people experience cravings when they're pregnant.

Speaker 0

真有这回事吗?

Is it true?

Speaker 0

你自己有过这种感觉吗?

And have you experienced any?

Speaker 1

有些人说确实有这回事。

Some people say that it's true.

Speaker 1

我除了平时想吃薯片或者普通食物之外,没出现过别的特别想吃的东西。

I've not not experienced any cravings outside of my normal craving for chips or, you know, normal food.

Speaker 1

不过我本来就很想吃这些。

But I I crave that anyway.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就是普通的欲望。

Just normal.

Speaker 1

就是普通的想吃。

Just normal cravings.

Speaker 0

所以没有不正常的渴望。

So no no abnormal cravings

Speaker 1

不会半夜两点叫男朋友出去买什么粉笔之类的。

for not sent my boyfriend out at two in the morning to buy sort of chalk or Yeah.

Speaker 1

草莓。

Strawberries.

Speaker 1

没有。

No.

Speaker 0

你觉得这些渴望是真的,还是只是传言?

Do you think it's true or or are these myths, these cravings?

Speaker 1

我觉得这些渴望可能是真的。

I think the cravings can be true.

Speaker 1

可能跟饮食缺乏有关,身体在提醒你:快补充点这个。

They can relate to deficiency in your diet maybe, and your body's telling you, quick.

Speaker 1

赶紧吃点这个。

Get some more of this.

Speaker 1

所以我觉得,饮食越均衡,就越不容易有特别的渴望。

So I suppose the more balanced your diet, the less likely you are to crave something.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那我们来看看。

So let's see.

Speaker 0

你知道是男孩还是女孩吗?

So is it do you know if it's a boy or a girl?

Speaker 1

我知道。

I do.

Speaker 1

是个男孩。

It's a boy.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Alright.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

你是通过做B超才知道的吧?

So did you kind of find out by having one of those scans, I suppose?

Speaker 0

这是常规做法,对吧?

That's the normal way, isn't it?

Speaker 1

对的。

Yep.

Speaker 1

去做个检查就行。

You have a scan.

Speaker 1

在第一次或第二次检查时,他们就能看出是男孩还是女孩,然后会问你想不想知道,还是想保持惊喜。

They can tell on your second they can tell on your first or your second scan if it's a girl or boy, and then they ask if you want to know or if you want a surprise.

Speaker 0

那你们做这个决定很难吗?

And was I mean, was that a difficult decision?

Speaker 1

不难。

No.

Speaker 1

我们很早就想知道了。

We definitely wanted to know.

Speaker 0

明白。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得惊喜在于孩子本身。

I think the surprise is the baby.

Speaker 0

等他真正出生的时候。

When it actually arrives.

Speaker 1

等他出生的时候。

When it arrives.

Speaker 1

因为你得选个名字,要从一个人或者一对夫妻,突然变成有孩子的一家,这种转变真的很难想象。

I mean, because you have to choose a name, and it's so difficult imagining yourself being changing from being just you or, you know, in your couple to having a family or having a baby.

Speaker 1

如果你能想象是个女孩还是男孩,我觉得这样更容易去思考这件事。

It's you if can imagine if it's a little girl or a boy, I think it helps you helps you think about it.

Speaker 0

帮你为另一个生命的到来做好心理准备,我想是这样的。

Helps you just prepare for the arrival of another person, I suppose.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那你最期待的是什么?比如有了孩子之后?

And so what what are you looking forward to regarding, like, having having the child?

Speaker 0

我的意思是,这个问题其实谁都答得上来。

I mean, I suppose we can all we could all answer that question.

Speaker 0

你最期待哪些方面呢?

But what things are you looking forward to?

Speaker 1

我觉得,除了那些很常见的、可爱的小宝宝事情,比如能给小娃娃换衣服什么的,

I think there well, I mean, there's outside of all sort of normal cute baby stuff, the living doll that you get to dress up.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

更关键的是,你们的关系会变,生活重心也会变,从以前只想着自己,变成真正以家庭为单位去考虑。

I suppose it's the change in your relationship and the change in the things that you do and your priorities going from, you know, thinking primarily about yourself to thinking about yourselves as a family.

Speaker 1

这包括你的新孩子、你的丈夫,还有你们整个生活方式的调整。

So that includes your your child, your new child and husband and, you know, changing the way that you you live.

Speaker 1

现在我们经常出去吃饭、看电影之类的,以后就没法再这样了。

Like, at the moment, we go out a lot to dinner or to the cinema or things like this, that won't be an option anymore.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你得花更多时间待在家里。

You're gonna have to spend

Speaker 1

去公园散步。

Go to the park.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说得对。

That's right.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

保姆。

Babysitters.

Speaker 0

你那里有很多保姆可用吗?

Do you have lots of babysitters available?

Speaker 1

有几个。

Got some.

Speaker 1

我妹妹。

My sister.

Speaker 0

你得麻烦几个人帮忙。

You're gonna call on a few favors.

Speaker 1

麻烦几个人帮忙。

Call on a few favors.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得这得看孩子乖不乖,或者可爱不可爱。

I think it depends how good the baby is or how cute.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

希望孩子长得可爱吧。

Fingers crossed the baby's cute.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

现在没错。

Now right.

Speaker 0

关于这个话题还有很多可聊的,我待会儿再问你几个问题。

There's so much more to talk about on this subject and we'll we'll I'll ask you some other questions in a bit.

Speaker 0

不过咱们先看看。

But let's see.

Speaker 0

从我一个普通人的角度看,遇到孕妇的时候,我总觉得有些话该说、有些事该做,得讲究分寸。

Now, from my point of view, as just a bloke, when I meet a pregnant person I kind of think there's a sort of an etiquette around things you should say, things you should do.

Speaker 0

这事儿挺微妙的,我老提醒自己别搞砸了。

It's kind of different and I always think oh I have to remember to get it right.

Speaker 0

我也知道,对孕妇来说,有时候别人的一些言行确实会让人烦。

And also I know that from the point of view of a pregnant woman sometimes it can be annoying when people do certain things or say certain things.

Speaker 0

那别人见到孕妇时,该说什么、该做什么?又不该说什么、不该做什么?

So what should someone say or do when they meet a pregnant person and what shouldn't a person say or do?

Speaker 0

咱们不妨从这点开始聊。

Maybe we can start with that point.

Speaker 0

见到孕妇时,哪些话不能说,哪些事不能做?

What are the things that we shouldn't say or shouldn't do when we meet someone who's pregnant?

Speaker 0

你觉得呢?

What do you think?

Speaker 1

你绝对不该评论他们看起来是胖还是瘦。

I think you should definitely not comment on how big or small they look.

Speaker 0

对。

Yes.

Speaker 1

比如说什么‘我妹妹怀孕了,才你的一半大’,或者‘你才六个月啊’。

Like, oh, my sister's pregnant and she's half your size or oh, you're really only six months.

Speaker 1

是的。

So Yeah.

Speaker 1

这些话都别往外说。

Just keep it to yourself.

Speaker 1

怀孕期间体重增加、身体变化这么大,本身就挺复杂的。

You know, it's it's complicated gaining so much weight and changing your body changing so much.

Speaker 1

别人随便评论,就跟你不熟的人说‘你看起来有点胖’一样不合适。

So people commenting on it is inappropriate in a way that you wouldn't see someone you don't know that well and say, oh, you look a bit fat.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

所以别对孕妇说这种话。

So don't say it to pregnant people.

Speaker 0

这挺奇怪的,对吧?

It's weird, isn't it?

Speaker 0

一旦有人怀孕,好像所有正常的规矩就都不算了。

That as soon as someone becomes pregnant, kind of all the normal rules seem to to kind of disappear.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

人们总觉得可以随便评论你的外表、你吃的东西、你做的事。

And people feel like they can just make comments about the way you look or comments about the things you're eating and the things you're doing.

Speaker 0

真有意思,就因为这么一个变化,所有规矩好像一下子就变了。

It's funny that just one change and suddenly the whole all the rules seem to shift.

Speaker 0

所以,我觉得最好别评论她外表上的变化。

So okay, like I suppose it's avoid making comments that that are like, specifically about the way that that she looks.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

我这儿从网上找了一些东西。

So I've I've got some things here from the Internet.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

这些都是别人不该说的话。

These are things that people shouldn't say.

Speaker 0

明白。

Okay.

Speaker 0

比如有一条是:你看起来马上就要炸了。

So one of them is, oh, you look like you're ready to burst.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

不行。

No.

Speaker 0

完全说不过去

Absolutely out of out

Speaker 1

别这么说。

of Don't say that.

Speaker 0

有个问题。

Question.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你看起来快撑不住了。

You look like you're ready to burst.

Speaker 0

不过我这时候该解释一下‘撑不住’是什么意思吗?

But should I explain what burst means at this stage?

Speaker 1

也许吧。

Maybe.

Speaker 1

嗯,

Well,

Speaker 0

我回头再谈这个。

I'll come back to it.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

来,再看一个。

So have you Here's another one.

Speaker 0

你有没有考虑过锻炼一下?

Have you considered taking some exercise?

Speaker 0

这显然太粗心了,我想。

Which obviously is terribly unobservant, I suppose.

Speaker 0

你还有没有注意到别的?

Anything else that you've noticed?

Speaker 1

我觉得,一旦怀孕,你就不再只是你自己了。

I think anything you know, when you're pregnant, you're no longer just yourself.

Speaker 1

你还要为一个看不见的人负责。

You're also responsible for this unseen person.

Speaker 1

这挺有意思的,一方面感觉特别好,但另一方面又觉得被人评头论足。

And it's curious because on one hand, feel really that feels really great, but in another way, you feel really judged.

Speaker 1

就是这种被评判的感觉。

So it's that kind of judgment.

Speaker 1

比如你喝杯咖啡,就会觉得有人在皱眉头;喝罐可乐,也觉得不对,毕竟咖啡因对胎儿不好。

You know, you might drink a cup of coffee and sort of feeling that someone's frowning at you or drink a can of Coke, you know, because caffeine's not great.

Speaker 1

你知道,咖啡因不能喝太多。

You know, you shouldn't have too much caffeine.

Speaker 1

这不只是别人嘴上说说,更是他们看你的眼神、对待你的方式。

So, you know, this is not only saying, but sort of how people treat you or look at you.

Speaker 1

你懂的吧?

You know?

Speaker 1

我相信大家都是出于好意。

It's none of you know, I'm sure people are doing their best.

Speaker 1

除非你真在吸可卡因,否则真没必要太在意这些。

And unless you're actually smoking crack, I think you should really just not worry about it.

Speaker 1

所以绝对不要评论他们的体重,或者评判他们怎么吃、怎么生活。

So definitely not commenting about their weight or sort of judging how they eat or live.

Speaker 1

还有一件事,特别复杂,就是名字。

And the other thing is, which is really complicated, is names.

Speaker 1

我从不问别人的名字。

I don't ask about names.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

为什么呢?

Why is that?

Speaker 1

因为起名字真的很难,挺敏感的,跟伴侣来回商量,这个名想要,那个名不要。

Because it's really it's really difficult to find a name, and it's kinda sensitive, and you go back and forth with your your partner, like, what name you want and what you don't want.

Speaker 1

好不容易挑了个俩人都喜欢的名字,告诉别人,最糟的反应就是——我认识一个叫这名字的,人特别差。

And then let's say you find a name that you both really like, and you tell someone, the worst reaction, and this is why I've stopped telling people, is they'll say, oh, oh, I knew someone called whatever, and he was awful.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你就想,别说了行不行。

And you just think, oh, shut up.

Speaker 0

所以别问:‘你们想好名字了吗?’

So don't say, oh, have you thought of a name yet?

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

管好你自己的事。

Mind your own business.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Alright.

Speaker 0

现在,我们来看看。

Right now, let's see.

Speaker 0

我正看着我的清单呢。

I'm looking at my list here.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

我列了一些可能让她感到害怕的东西。

I've things like anything that can make her feel scared.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

你懂我的意思吧?

You know what I mean?

Speaker 1

嗯,这就是另一个关于第三者的故事。

Well, is that is the other woman horror story.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这是因为,塞巴斯蒂安昨晚刚提到过这个。

This is because this is like well, Sebastian was talking about this last night.

Speaker 1

你知道吗,生孩子就像男人去钓鱼一样。

You know, having a baby is a bit like how men go fishing.

Speaker 1

就像那么大。

Like, it was that big.

Speaker 1

而且你知道,我们当时去了,但说实话,女性聊分娩时,总像是在讲一段特别惨的经历。

And, you know, and we went for, you know but I mean, women talk about labor, you know, like they've gone through this sort of terrible experience.

Speaker 1

十四小时、三十八小时,最后还得剖腹产。

Fourteen hours, thirty eight hours, and then it was a caesarean.

Speaker 1

所以她们总爱跟你讲些吓人的故事,说有多痛苦、多可怕、缝了多少针,或者孩子有多大。

And so they like they like to tell you horror stories about how sort of horrible or frightening or terrible or painful or how many stitches or just how big the baby was.

Speaker 1

四公斤。

Four kilos,

Speaker 0

八公斤。

eight.

Speaker 0

四十七万,你知道的,好几吨。

470,000, you know, tons.

Speaker 0

她们就是想比谁的经历更吓人。

What they trying to outdo each

Speaker 1

别的。

other.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

足足有四十七万吨重。

It's like 470,000 tons.

Speaker 0

那根本不算什么。

That was nothing.

Speaker 0

我孩子大得像木星一样。

My baby was the size of Jupiter.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

大家在比谁的分娩经历更吓人。

So trying to outdo each other in this sort of like maternity horror.

Speaker 1

对啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我尽量避开这种话题。

I just try and avoid that kind of conversation.

Speaker 0

根本别听这些。

Don't even hear that.

Speaker 1

这种话别乱说。

Keep that to yourself.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

就说一不小心说漏嘴了。

Just say it slipped out.

Speaker 0

这根本不是比谁更厉害。

It's not a competition.

Speaker 0

对。

No.

Speaker 0

这可不是比谁的故事更惨烈。

It's not a competition to see if can have the most dramatic story.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,我们每个人的情况都差不多,经历也都很相似。

I mean, we've all got quite it's quite a small sortie, quite a small exit.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对每个人来说,这都是个不小的挑战。

Quite a big baby for everyone regardless.

Speaker 0

没必要再额外强调了。

No need to emphasise it any more than is necessary.

Speaker 0

对。

No.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

那咱们在这期播客里,就别太强调这件事了。

Well, let's let's not emphasise it too much in this podcast, I suppose.

Speaker 0

不过我还是简单提一下其他几件事。

But I'll quickly go through some of the other things.

Speaker 0

评论她吃了些什么。

Commenting on things that she's eaten.

Speaker 0

你以前还提到过,说生孩子或者怀孕就像脸上纹身,对吧?

And also you've mentioned before, what was it the thing that you've said you've compared having a baby or being pregnant to having a facial tattoo?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我朋友说过,生孩子就跟脸上纹身差不多。

My friend said that having a baby is a lot like having a facial tattoo.

Speaker 1

没错。

Right.

Speaker 1

意思就是,在决定做之前,你得特别确定自己真的想要。

In the sense that you need to be very sure you want one before before you get one.

Speaker 1

但我一直觉得,如果我真去纹个面部纹身,别人可能会觉得有点怪,但大概也能接受。

But I've always felt that when were I to have a facial tattoo, people would probably they might think it was weird, but they'd probably accept it.

Speaker 1

哎,你看,

Like, oh, look.

Speaker 1

人家都选了面部纹身嘛。

You've chosen a facial tattoo.

Speaker 1

可有时候你跟人说你怀孕了,比如你还没显怀,刚告诉人家,人家就会说:‘真的吗?’

Whereas sometimes when you tell someone you're pregnant, let's say you tell them because you have you know, you're not showing yet, they'll say, oh oh, really?

Speaker 1

是计划好的吗?

Was it on purpose?

Speaker 1

是不是不小心怀上的?

Like, oh, was it an accident?

Speaker 1

这不仅特别没礼貌,我也不知道该怎么说。

Which seems not only really rude, but I I don't know.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

有人跟你说过这种话吗?

Have people said that to you?

Speaker 0

哦,这是早有打算的?

Oh, was that planned?

Speaker 1

是我婆婆。

My mother-in-law.

Speaker 0

你婆婆啊,真够可以的。

Your mother oh, great.

Speaker 1

但没有。

But no.

Speaker 1

确实有人这么问过,感觉挺不妥的。

People have have said that, and it it does feel a bit inappropriate.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

那这件事是早有安排的吗?

So was that planned?

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

这个问题问得真不合适,好吧。

That's a terrible question Okay.

Speaker 0

问这种问题确实不太妥当,那关于身体接触这件事呢?

To ask in that So what about the question of physical contact?

Speaker 0

有些人一见面就直接上手摸你的肚子。

Some people immediately they go in and start touching your your belly.

Speaker 0

我能摸一下吗?

Oh, can I have a touch?

Speaker 0

他们就是想碰你。

And they want to touch you.

Speaker 0

这种事该怎么把握分寸?

What's the etiquette on that?

Speaker 0

随便上去就摸别人,这合适吗?

Is it okay to just jump in and start touching you?

Speaker 1

我觉得不该随便摸陌生人的肚子。

I don't think you should rub strangers' bellies.

Speaker 0

对。

No.

Speaker 0

不行。

No.

Speaker 0

我也不觉得应该这样。

Neither do I.

Speaker 1

别乱碰别人。

Keep your hands to yourself.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

除非对方主动让你摸。

Unless the belly is offered.

Speaker 0

所以肚子得先主动露出来才行?

So the the belly has to be presented or offered first?

Speaker 1

如果人家愿意,我挺喜欢被人揉揉的。

If the belly is off I quite like a rub.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

挺舒服的。

It's quite nice.

Speaker 1

感觉特别放松。

It feels quite soothing.

Speaker 1

但前提是,我得先同意才行。

But, I mean, as long as I've ok'd that rub.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 0

你有没有发现,有些女性会突然就伸手摸你的肚子,也不提前问一声?

So do do have you noticed that some women just suddenly start touching your belly without being ok'd first?

Speaker 1

我平时没怎么被人摸过肚子。

I have not had too much belly rubbing.

Speaker 1

我觉得法国人可能比较拘谨。

I think maybe the French are quite reserved.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他们都很守分寸。

They keep their hands to themselves.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 1

但偶尔也会有人突然来摸一下肚子。

But the occasional the occasional unsolicited rub

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

突然就冒出来了。

Is coming out of nowhere.

Speaker 0

所以除非得到允许,否则别随便碰别人。

So keep keep your hands to yourself unless it's been ok'd.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

那在见面时,哪些话或行为是合适的呢?

What about things that you should say or or that you should do?

Speaker 0

别人第一次见你时,通常会说些什么、做些什么,是被接受的?

What are the standard things that people say to you when they meet you that are that are okay?

Speaker 1

得体的举动。

Okay things.

Speaker 1

问人家预产期是可以的。

Well, it's okay to ask when you're due.

Speaker 1

你知道的。

You know?

Speaker 0

预产期是什么时候?

When's it due?

Speaker 0

你什么时候生?

Or when or when are you due?

Speaker 1

预产期是什么时候?

When's it due?

Speaker 1

你什么时候生?

When are you due?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,问这个没问题。

I mean, it's okay to ask that.

Speaker 1

有些人不喜欢别人问是女孩还是男孩,但我无所谓。

Some people don't like being asked if it's a girl or a boy, but I don't mind.

Speaker 1

我觉得能孕育一个男孩,挺酷的。

I find it quite sort of cool that I've grown a boy.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

嗯。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我体内正在孕育一个男人的成长。

I've grown as a man growing inside inside me.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

You Yep.

Speaker 1

所以这样也没问题。

And so the so that's fine.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,说些好听的话总没错。

I mean, obviously, saying something nice.

Speaker 1

夸你几句总是让人开心的。

Giving you a compliment is always nice.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

比如说,你看起来状态真好之类的。

Like, saying, you know, how well you're looking or anything like that.

Speaker 0

你看起来很棒。

You look great.

Speaker 0

你看起来太棒了。

You look fantastic.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你看起来气色真好,就是那种感觉。

You're looking glowing, you know, all of those things.

Speaker 1

这话说得有点老套,但也没关系。

It's a of a cliche, but that's fine.

Speaker 1

被人夸总是让人开心的。

A compliment's always nice.

Speaker 0

气色好。

Glowing.

Speaker 0

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这话说得真到位。

That's a good one.

Speaker 0

气色好,还有什么东西是气色好的?

Glowing like what else glows?

Speaker 0

最常被说成气色好的东西是什么?

What's the most common thing that glows?

Speaker 0

就像灯泡那种,或者类似的东西。

Sort of like a a light bulb or something like that.

Speaker 1

灯泡。

Light bulb.

Speaker 1

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

但灯泡的光其实不算真正的‘发光’吧?那种光太刺眼了,而‘发光’应该是更柔和的感觉,对吧?

But that's not exactly glowing is a more sort of sort of soft version of a light bulb is rather harsh light, isn't it?

Speaker 0

‘发光’是一种更柔和的光线。

Glowing is a softer kind of of light.

Speaker 0

不过,这么说确实挺好的。

But, yeah, that's a nice thing to say.

Speaker 0

你真的在发光。

You're really glowing.

Speaker 0

你看起来状态真好。

You look great.

Speaker 0

就是这种感觉。

That kind of thing.

Speaker 0

那这个呢?

What about this one?

Speaker 0

哦,你一定会是个好妈妈。

Oh, you'll make a great mother.

Speaker 1

我觉得,人们多半是好意吧。

Well, I think I suppose people mean well.

Speaker 1

这得看他们是不是了解你。

It depends if they know you or not.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

如果你根本不了解一个人,这种话就有点随机了。

I mean, it's a bit random if you don't really know someone.

Speaker 1

说到底,你可能会想,要不要这么讲,还是算了。

I mean, you just think, maybe maybe I will, maybe I won't.

Speaker 0

一个你从来没见过的人。

Someone you've never met before.

Speaker 0

突然就说:哦,你怀孕了?

It's like, oh, oh, you're pregnant.

Speaker 0

哇,真棒。

Oh, that's fantastic.

Speaker 0

你看起来状态真好。

Oh, you look fantastic.

Speaker 0

我相信你一定会是个好妈妈。

Oh, I'm sure you'll be a great mother.

Speaker 0

你怎么会知道呢?

Like, how do you know?

Speaker 0

你根本一点都不了解我。

You don't know anything about me.

Speaker 1

你对我一无所知。

You know nothing about me.

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,只要是那种积极的、夸奖的话,听起来都挺好的。

I mean, anything which is kind of, like, positive or complimentary, that's nice.

Speaker 1

或者,你也可以问问人家最近怎么样,过得顺不顺心。

Or, you know, I mean, you can also ask how someone's doing, how they're getting along.

Speaker 1

对。

And Mhmm.

Speaker 1

因为怀孕这事儿,是每天都跟着你的。

Because, you know, being pregnant, you're pregnant every day.

Speaker 1

确实会占掉你很多心思。

It does take up quite a lot of your thoughts.

Speaker 0

是啊。

So Yeah.

Speaker 1

有时候难免会变成个‘孕妈话题控’,老聊这个。

Can be a bit of a pregnancy bore and talk about it quite a lot.

Speaker 1

所以有时候,如果对方看起来有兴趣,聊一聊还挺好的。

So sometimes it's quite nice to talk to someone about it if they seem interested.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

在海滩上,只要表现出关心,说点积极的话就行。

So just on beach, show interest and make positive comments.

Speaker 0

那如果别人主动想帮你拿东西或者帮你做事,你怎么看?

What about how about when people offer to kind of get things for you or do things for you?

Speaker 0

你介意吗?

Do you mind?

Speaker 1

不介意。

No.

Speaker 1

尽管做吧。

Do that.

Speaker 1

我很喜欢这样。

I like that.

Speaker 0

哎,我来帮你拿吧。

So, oh, let me get that for you.

Speaker 1

去拿吧。

Go and get it.

Speaker 1

好啊。

Yes.

Speaker 0

坐吧。

Oh, sit down.

Speaker 0

我来处理。

I'll do that.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

这些话简直像咒语一样,是不是?

These are like magic words, aren't they?

Speaker 1

太棒了。

They're fantastic.

Speaker 1

一开始其实用不着,但现在我真的特别需要了。

Well, in the beginning, you don't need it, but but now I really do.

Speaker 1

比如我男朋友主动帮我系鞋带,我真的很感动。

I mean, when my boyfriend offers to do up my shoes for me, I really appreciate it.

Speaker 0

不管什么时候,这样都挺暖心的。

Well, it would be nice at any time.

Speaker 1

确实什么时候都挺好,但特别珍贵,因为系鞋带和脱鞋都挺费劲的。

It would be nice at any time, but it's a real treat because, you know, it's quite hard doing them up or getting them off.

Speaker 1

是啊。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

真的吗?

Is it really?

Speaker 1

或者扶我起来,帮我拿手包。

Or helps me up or takes my handbag.

Speaker 0

那你现在觉得哪些事情特别难办?

What do you what do you find difficult now then at this stage?

Speaker 1

站着

Standing.

Speaker 1

站起来

Standing up.

Speaker 1

是啊

Yeah.

Speaker 1

站超过半小时以上

Standing up for more than about half an hour.

Speaker 1

会挺累的

You get quite tired.

Speaker 1

真的吗

Really?

Speaker 1

对

Yeah.

Speaker 1

穿鞋、起身、活动都不太方便

Putting on your shoes, getting up, mobility Yeah.

Speaker 1

什么都行。

Anything.

Speaker 0

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

弯腰。

Bending.

Speaker 0

剧烈的体力活动。

Strenuous physical things.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你还在表演单口喜剧。

You're still performing stand up comedy

Speaker 1

我在做。

I am.

Speaker 0

在这个孕期阶段。

At this stage in your pregnancy.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那感觉怎么样?

And how was that?

Speaker 0

你周六上台演出了吗?

And you did you perform on Saturday?

Speaker 0

演了。

I did.

Speaker 0

怎么样?

How was it?

Speaker 1

我当主持人。

I was hosting.

Speaker 1

感觉挺好的,因为大家没想到你会这样,挺少见的。

It's it's good because I think people don't expect you to it's unusual.

Speaker 1

确实,你很少看到怀孕的脱口秀演员。

I suppose you don't really see that many pregnant stand ups.

Speaker 0

没有。

No.

Speaker 0

说实话,我从来没看过。

I've never seen it, to be honest.

Speaker 0

我觉得我从来没见过。

I don't think I've ever seen it.

Speaker 0

没有。

No.

Speaker 1

不过,也不是。

But well, no.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,还挺有意思的。

I mean, it's quite fun.

Speaker 0

除了你之外。

Well, except for you.

Speaker 1

你不是看见我了吗?

Well, you see me.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

挺好的,而且确实能聊很多话题,因为里面有很多有趣或奇怪的事情,不是每个人都有过这种经历。

It's nice, and I think it gives you it certainly gives you a lot to talk about because there's a lot of funny or unusual things, and not everyone's experienced it.

Speaker 1

尤其是身在国外,作为英国人却在法国怀孕,文化差异特别多,而且挺有意思的。

And definitely living abroad, being English and being pregnant in France, there's quite a lot of cultural differences which are quite funny.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得是这样。

I think.

Speaker 0

你有没有注意到什么文化差异?

Have you noticed any cultural differences?

Speaker 0

一般来说文化差异很多,但怀孕期间你有没有发现什么特别的?

Well, there's loads of cultural differences in general, but have you noticed any around the pregnancy?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我觉得在法国,有些事情你根本不会去想,它们就是那样自然地发生着。

I think that in things that you just take for granted, like in France, are just done in a certain way.

Speaker 1

还有一些事情,根本就不会有人去做。

And other stuff is just not done.

Speaker 1

在英国,母乳喂养是很平常的事。

And breastfeeding in England, kind of that's normal.

Speaker 1

但在法国,这可就非常少见了。

In France, this is really exceptional.

Speaker 1

还有,真正自然分娩这件事,在那儿也挺特别的。

Or, you know, having an actual childbirth is really very strange.

Speaker 1

要是你想在产假结束后多陪陪宝宝,或者关心一下育儿环境,别人会觉得你有点奇怪。

Or wanting to spend more than just, like, the congenit maternity time with the baby is kind of a bit seems strange or anything environmental.

Speaker 1

他们对育儿环境和婴儿的关注度并不高。

They're not into the environment and babies.

Speaker 0

真的吗?

Really?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我再回头说说刚才那几件事。

Let let me just go back over a couple of those things.

Speaker 0

你提到母乳喂养。

You said breastfeeding.

Speaker 0

你说了‘conje maternelle’,就是产假。

You said conje maternelle, which is the maternity leave.

Speaker 1

产假。

Maternity leave.

Speaker 1

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

还有别的吗?

What's the other?

Speaker 0

自然分娩。

Natural childbirth.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

所以是母乳喂养。

So breastfeeding.

Speaker 0

在英国,我们对在公共场合母乳喂养更接受吗?

In England, are we more comfortable with breastfeeding in public?

Speaker 0

是特指在公共场合,还是泛指母乳喂养?

Is that it or just breastfeeding generally?

Speaker 1

就是泛指母乳喂养,没错。

Just breastfeeding generally Right.

Speaker 1

我觉得是这样。

I think.

Speaker 0

所以在英国,母乳喂养更常见一些,是吧?

So in in England, it's more normal to to to breastfeed?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但在法国,人们不太这么做吧?

But they don't really do it in France so much?

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

明白了。

Okay.

Speaker 1

我觉得不是这样。

I don't think so.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.
