91. 随想录：从A到Z

我们其实也不太确定，我想。

We don't really know, I suppose.

这就是蝙蝠侠有趣的地方之一，他打击犯罪，但某种程度上自己也是一个罪犯。

And that's that's one of the interesting things about Batman, is that he fights crime, but he's also a criminal himself to an extent.

There's a new Batman film coming out.

I believe it's called The Dark Knight Rises, and lots of people on the Internet are getting very excited about it.

I wonder I wonder if it's really gonna be that good.

I quite like the new Batman films.

I quite like those films.

But to be honest, I find them a little bit pretentious, and they take themselves a bit too seriously.

I mean, how serious really can you be with a movie in which the main character dresses up like a bat?

I mean, come on.

I actually preferred the old the old films with Michael Keaton, particularly the first one with Jack Nicholson as the as the Joker.

我只是喜欢它们，因为它们带有一点幽默感。

I just enjoyed them because they had a bit more of a sense of humor about them.

新版的蝙蝠侠电影太过一本正经，把自己看得太严肃了。

The new Batman films are just very earnest and they take themselves incredibly seriously.

There's a lack of there's a general lack of humor in them.

Although, actually, in the last one, The Dark Knight, we did have, what was his name, Heath Ledger as the Joker, and he was really good fun.

Great performance, and very sad that he's no longer with us, of course, because he he sadly died after he made that film, rather than before.

I think probably there's some sort of it's quite fun, isn't it, really?

I know it's really bad that we're supposed to always create things, and that somehow creating things is positive and destroying things is negative.

It's not that simple, because if you just if creating things is just good, and destroying things is just bad, well then, that would that would mean that, if we just followed that to its logical conclusion, that means creating anything, regardless of what it is, is good.

But we all know that sometimes when you create something, you create something bad, don't you?

You can create a new disease that's not necessarily good, and destruction can be good as well.

If you think about it let's see, let me think of a good example of destruction.

Well, if you've got oh, I can't think of a good example of destruction.

And either you're a dog person or you're a cat person.

I don't mean that in a sort of superhero way, it's not like you're a dog man or cat man, but basically either you like dogs or you like cats, and so most people are in those two, in one of those two categories.

I'm more of a cat person myself, although I realise they do have their downsides.

Massive intellectual property violations all over the place, of course.

但你知道，如果你想看某个视频，只要在YouTube上搜索一下，大概率就能找到。

But, you know, if you wanna see something on video, type it into YouTube, you can probably see it.

现在你在YouTube上能看到各种各样的东西。

There are all kinds of things now which you can see on YouTube.

Any or the history of recorded stuff, you can see it on YouTube.

It's cats falling over.

Isn't that amazing?

但这恰恰说明了我们有多爱猫，以及它们有多有趣。

But we it just shows how much we love cats and how funny they are.

You know, you can just talk forever about the differences between cats and dogs.

Well, I imagine the elephant would be the best at that.

If it was like an elephant versus a giraffe, and let's say another big animal, a rhino, clearly the elephant is gonna win that competition, because it just purely because of its memory.
