I just decided to start recording something.
我就这么一直说下去，看看会发生什么，基本上就是这样。
I'm just gonna keep talking and just see what happens, basically.
所以我现在面前开着电视，这个时间段电视上播放着各种节目，我一般就只是随便坐着。
So I've got the TV on in front of me, and there's various things on the on the telly this time of the evening, and generally just sort of sitting around.

And I so it's one of those ones where I have to just keep talking and somehow make it make sense and make it about something in particular.

What I you know, I've done this before with other episodes.

What I sometimes do is kind of like pick something up and start talking about it.

And I'm just sort of waiting for the inspiration to hit me right now of just what exactly it is I'm going to start talking about.

What I do have here actually is a bottle of an empty bottle of Japanese green tea, which I bought at the local Thai supermarket, which is just up the road.

And added to that, for lunch today, I ate some Japanese sushi in a little takeaway place nearby.

And so that just made me think of food and the different types of food that we eat.

And I lived in Japan for two years, and I definitely think that when I lived there, I was living very healthily.

You know, I just managed to eat lots of really good food.

So all the kind of fresh fish that they have, it's completely fresh, not cooked at all.

It's totally clean, completely delicious.

It's amazing actually how much fish is consumed in Tokyo every day.

And while I was there, I went to a big market in Tokyo called Tsukiji Market, which is a huge fish market.

And there, every night, they pull in all of the fish which have been caught in the past, you know, few hours or whatever.

They bring it all in, and then it's all transported around and sold off in different little market areas.

And some fish are kind of sold at auction and things like that.

So one day, when I was in Japan, my cousin Ollie was visiting me, and me, him, and a flatmate of mine all decided to go to see Tsukiji Market.

Right?

But you can't just go in the morning.
你得在半夜左右就去，因为市场大约在四点半开门。
You have to go, you know, basically in the middle of the night because it opens at about half past four.
所以我们决定去附近找一间卡拉OK房。
So we decided that we would go along to the local area and find a karaoke room.
于是我们预订了房间，进去后唱了大约四个小时的卡拉OK。
So we booked we we went into this karaoke room, and we had something like, and there was about four hours of karaoke.
在日本的这些房间里，体验特别棒，因为它们是仅供三到四个人使用的私人小包间。
And in those rooms in Japan, they're totally fantastic because these are little private rooms just big enough for, like, three or four people.
你面前有一本厚厚的歌单，里面有大量不同歌曲，很多英文歌，还有一份菜单和墙上的电话。
And you've got a big book of loads and loads of different songs, lots of English songs and things, plus a menu and a telephone on the wall.
所以你可以直接打电话点啤酒、食物，或者任何你想吃的东西。
So you can just call and order beer or food or whatever it is that you want.
你可以基本上就待在这个房间里，开个小派对，整晚唱卡拉OK。
So you can basically just sit in this room and have a little party and sing karaoke all night.
到了四点半左右，我们走出去，走进了鱼市，四处看了看，那里有各种令人惊叹的鱼类，成千上万种不同的鱼。
And then at about half past four, we went, outside and walked into the fish market and had a look around, and they had some incredible arrays of fish, there, just thousands and thousands and thousands of different fish.

Everything you can imagine from the sea was pulled into this market.
这太不可思议了。
It was incredible.
我觉得最令人惊叹的区域是他们出售大型金枪鱼的地方。
I think the most amazing room was where they were selling, these huge, tuna fish.
他们把金枪鱼冷冻后切掉了鱼鳍，整整齐齐地排成一排排，正在被拍卖和买卖。
So they'd frozen these tuna fish and chopped the fins off them, and they're just all lying there in these massive rows, and they're being sold and bought at auction.

Incredible amounts of fish being sold for probably quite a lot of money.
这真是一次令人惊叹的体验。
So it was an amazing experience.
之后，我们去了当地的寿司店，那些小店就开在市场旁边，那里能吃到最新鲜的鱼。
And then after that, we visited the local sushi bars, and there are little sushi bars that just kind of open next to the market, and that's where you get the freshest fish.
于是我们在那里吃了寿司，味道绝佳。
And so we had some sushi there, and it was absolutely delicious.
这确实帮了大忙，因为我们整晚都在喝啤酒，而寿司 somehow 让我们感觉清爽了一些，似乎避免了宿醉。
And it really helped because we'd been drinking beer all night, and somehow the sushi kind of made us feel a bit cleaner again and sort of stopped us having a hangover or something.

Something maybe to do with just the fact that it's so fresh and so clean, and all that fish has got, like, I guess, a lot of protein in it, and the rice kind of gives you energy.

And it's kind of all you need, just a cup of green tea, some sushi, and it's absolutely delicious, that is.

So that just made me think of that, and then also this green tea, which you can buy in bottles.
我记得住在日本的时候，冬天每天早上都会去车站。日本的冬天非常干燥，不像英国那样又湿又冷。
I remember when I lived in Japan, every morning in the winter I'd go to the station, and in winter in Japan, it's quite dry, unlike in England where it's quite wet and cold.
在日本，天气是干燥而寒冷的。
In Japan, it's dry and cold.
所以，你需要喝点热的东西来保暖，同时保持水分。
So, you know, you need something kind of hot to drink just to keep you warm and also to keep you hydrated.
每天早上，我都会去我以前住的都之代车站，在月台上的小摊位买一瓶热绿茶，那茶是从一个小加热柜里拿出来的，是一瓶温热的绿茶，我早上就喝这个。
So every morning, I would go to the station in, Tsujido, where I used to live, and I'd, go to the little kiosk, on the platform and buy a bottle of hot, green tea, which has come out of like a little heated cupboard, and it's like a hot bottle of green tea and I drink that in the morning.
我确信这让我少了很多次感冒。
And I'm sure that that stopped me from catching colds a lot.
它真的、真的帮助我增强了免疫力，所以我感冒的次数变少了，效果非常明显。
It really, really helped me to sort of improve my immune system, so I didn't get as many colds, and it really helped.

And I'd feel warm in the morning and sort of refreshed and full of vitamin c and stuff.
我 definitely 认为这是个好主意。
I definitely think it's a good idea.

Also, I believe that, Korean food can be very, healthy for you as well, cause it contains lots of kind of chilies and different kinds of spice and garlic and things, lots of vegetables, sort of spiced vegetables and I think what they call is kimchi, which is kind of like pickled vegetables with lots of chili and stuff on them.
所以这显然非常有益健康。
So that apparently is like really good, really healthy for you.
这或许也是禽流感没有在韩国蔓延的原因之一。
And it's one of the reasons why apparently like bird flu didn't spread in South Korea.
人们说，这是因为韩国人吃了大量的泡菜，因此身体非常健康。
People say it was because South Koreans eat so much kimchi that they're like healthy as a result.

I just it just makes me think about food in in other countries.

Now obviously, I know more about Japanese food because I lived there.

In China, they pretty much will well, when it comes to to meat now I'm not sure if it's true everywhere in China, but I've certainly seen things on TV, for example, where you see these markets somewhere in China where kind of everything is on sale, absolutely any possible food is on sale.

And so they've got like big stalls covered in things like different types of insects on a stick.

So you can have a sort of like a scorpion on a stick, or you can eat a a spider, for example.

And it just makes me think, oh my god.

I can't imagine eating a spider on a stick.

It would just be, oh, just completely disgusting.

And other things like lizards and snakes and stuff like that.

And I don't know where it is, but I'm sure that somewhere people eat monkey brains and stuff.
我知道 somewhere 有人吃受精的鸡蛋。
And I know that somewhere they eat like a fertilized chicken's egg.
那不是普通的鸡蛋，而是里面已经有胚胎的鸡蛋，他们就吃这个。
So that's not just an egg, a normal egg, but one with an actual fetus inside it, and they eat that.
我觉得这相当恶心。
That's pretty disgusting, I reckon.
这让我想起过去吃过的某些东西。
It just makes me think of stuff that I've eaten in the past.
从我的角度来看，我吃过的最奇怪的东西可能是在日本。
Probably the weirdest things that I've eaten from my point of view would have been in Japan.
就连吃一条刚刚还活着的鱼，这种想法在某种程度上也挺奇怪的。
And so, I mean, even just down to the idea that you're eating a fish that was just moments ago still alive is kind of strange in a way.
但日本人吃很多生食，这对我们英国人来说挺有意思的。
But the fact that they eat a lot of stuff raw is quite interesting for us in England.
我们通常不觉得人们会吃生的食物。
We don't really expect people to eat raw food as it were.
所以当我第一次去日本、第一次尝试寿司时，我在一家居酒屋——那是日本的一种餐厅或酒吧——有人在菜单上点了寿司。
So certainly when I first went to Japan and I first tried sushi, I was in an izakaya, which is like a sort of restaurant or a pub or something in Japan, and someone ordered some sushi on the menu.

And I remember just, like, eating, I think it was some tuna sashimi, and it was the first time I'd ever eaten sushi.
那是我到日本的第二天或第三天。
It was only, like, the second or third day that I was in Japan.

And I remember just eating it and thinking it tasted like the sea.
我就想，这味道真的就像大海一样，你知道吗？
It just I just thought, that just tastes like the sea, you know?

It didn't taste that good to me.

But maybe that was just like a bad, you know, place to try my sushi for the first time.
几周后，我和朋友在东京，他带我去了一家位于涩谷的很棒的回转寿司店。
And a few weeks later, was with my friend in Tokyo, and he took me to this really great Rotary Sushi restaurant in Shibuya.
我们在那里吃了几盘寿司，那简直美味极了。
And we had, like, a few plates of sushi there, and that was absolutely delicious.
那真正让我爱上了寿司，从那以后，我总会去寻找最好的地方，点一份美味的三文鱼握寿司之类的。
And that really got me hooked on sushi, and then from then on, I would always, like, search the best places to get a nice, you know, set of salmon nigiris or something like that.
即使在伦敦，只要去对的地方，也能吃到不错的寿司。
Even now in London, you can get good sushi if you go to the right places.
最受欢迎的地方可能是日本中心，就在皮卡迪利广场附近，那里有一个大型超市，可以买到便当、刺身、寿司、各种加州卷，还有绿茶和啤酒，比如朝日、麒麟等所有日本啤酒。
Probably the most popular choice is the Japan Center, which is near Piccadilly Circus, and they've got a big supermarket there where you can buy things like bento boxes, know, sashimi and sushi and different types of California rolls and things, and all your green tea and beer, all the Japanese beer like Asahi and Kirin and all that stuff.
你可以在日本中心买到所有这些东西。
You can get it all in the Japan Center.
而且在后面，他们还有一个很大的超市，可以买到各种高品质的绿茶，以及各种日本厨房用具。
And also at the back, they've got a big sort of supermarket where you can buy different types of tea, like really, really good types of green tea, and different equipment utensils for the kitchen, all Japanese stuff.

So that's really good.

I love the way that Japanese stuff is like really useful and really well designed.

Yeah, it just was great.

So food in other places, I I know in America, for example, they eat they tend to eat bigger portions.
我记得以前去美国度假时，去餐厅总是拿到超大的盘子，堆满了食物，多得不得了，差不多是英国份量的两倍。
I remember when I've been on holiday to America in the past, going to restaurants and just getting massive plates of huge amounts of food, just loads of it, you know, like twice what you'd get in England.
在美国，人们经常把没吃完的食物打包带回家。
And, it's quite common in America for them to, like, take some food home.
如果吃不完，他们可以带回家。
If they don't finish it, they can take it home.
所以他们会把食物放进‘狗袋’里。
So they put it in a doggy bag.
你知道吗，就是那种‘你能帮我装一下吗？’
You know, it's like, can you just can you just bag that, please?
就是装进一个‘狗袋’里，这其实也挺奇怪的。
Like, put it in a bag, a doggy bag, which is kind of weird as well.
我在英国从不这么做。
I've I never do that in England.
但那食物我一直记得，真的很美味，是那种地道、实在的美式菜肴。
But the food, I always remember, was really delicious, like, really proper sort of wholesome, chunky American food.
真是太棒了。
It's just fantastic.
而且他们从不马虎。
And they don't do they don't mess around.
他们做得非常地道，你知道的，真正的美式汉堡，简直是最佳美食。
They do it properly like the hamburg you know, really good American hamburger is just the best thing.
或者他们的早餐，比如淋上枫糖浆的华夫饼。
Or something like their breakfast, waffles with maple syrup.
那真的太棒了。
Now that is just fantastic.
也许还可以加些香蕉进去，华夫饼、香蕉、枫糖浆，再加点奶油。
Maybe put some bananas in there as well and just waffles, banana, maple syrup, bit of cream.
那简直美味极了。
That's absolutely delicious.
当然不怎么健康，非常不健康，但不知为何就是好吃。
Not very healthy, of course, deeply unhealthy, but still somehow delicious.
我不知道还能去别的什么地方。
I don't know where else.
我的意思是，南美洲让我想到阿根廷这样的地方，那里有绝佳的牛排，真的是非常好的牛肉排。
I mean, South America makes me think of places like Argentina where you get these fantastic steaks, like really good beef steaks.
你知道的，在巴西，他们会做一种菜，把大量的肉和豆子一起放进锅里。
And, you know, they do these dishes where they kind of stick loads and loads of meat and beans in a pan in Brazil.

Loads and loads of different types of really good meat and loads of different types of beans and sauce go into a big pan, and it all cooks up.
看起来简直太棒了。
It looks absolutely fantastic.

Of course, in Europe, in France, you can get really, really good food, and they do their steaks and all sorts of different types of dishes, which are really delicious.
他们的面包，我的意思是，早上在法国买到的法棍，简直是最好的。
And their bread, I mean, just baguettes that you get in the morning in France are just the best.
它们真的非常美味。
I mean, they're so tasty.
比如在巴黎买一个面包，夹在胳膊下往家走时，根本很难忍住不边走边吃一口，因为实在太美味了，尤其是刚出炉的时候。
When you buy one in Paris, for example, it's really difficult to walk home with your bread under your arm without, like, eating some of the bread while you're while you're walking, because it's just so delicious, especially when it's fresh.
西班牙嘛，我想他们当然有像海鲜饭这样的东西。
Spain, well, I guess they have things like, you know, obviously, paella.
在英国我们叫它paella，但我觉得应该是paella之类的，这是一种传统菜肴，还有塔帕斯之类的美食。
In England, we call it paella, but I think it's paella or something like that, which is which is a traditional dish, but then also sort of tortillas and things like that.
还有非常美味的西班牙辣香肠，真的特别棒。
It's a delicious chorizo, really, really nice Spanish chorizo.
意大利当然是最著名的美食国度，因为有披萨、意大利面、千层面等等这些食物。
Italy, of course, is maybe maybe the most famous country for food because because of the pizza and spaghetti and lasagna and all those things.
食物简直棒极了。
Just stunningly good food.
我想德国人有香肠，还有酸菜，是不是叫布拉特香肠？
I guess in Germany, they have, like, you know, sausages, like sort of sauerkraut and is it brat brat brat firsts?
差不多就是那种东西。
Something like that.
一些非常棒的香肠。
Some really good sausages.
我知道几年前我去柏林时，曾从街头小贩那里买过一种放在纸板盘上的香肠，味道非常辣，又热又辣，但特别好吃。
I know that when I went to Berlin a few years ago, I had some sort of sausage on a kind of cardboard plate from a guy in the street, and it was really spicy, like really hot and spicy and delicious.
非常棒的香肠，真的很好吃。
Really nice, really good sausage.
至于其他地方，我想我不太了解俄罗斯。
And other places, I guess, I don't really know Russia.
我不太清楚那里的食物是什么样子，所以实在没法确切地说我吃过多少俄罗斯菜。
I don't really know what the food is like, So I can't really I can't really say exactly that I've I've had much Russian food.
我的意思是，你知道，在这里的超市里，你会看到一种叫‘基辅鸡’的东西，我不确定这是否真的源自乌克兰。
I mean, you know, they they in the supermarkets here, you get something called a chicken Kiev, which I don't know if that really is from the Ukraine.

But the chicken Kiev is basically like chicken breast but hollow in the middle and with sort of garlic butter or garlic cheese in the middle.

That's a chicken Kiev.
我不知道这是否是基辅或乌克兰的传统做法，但当我吃它的时候，确实非常美味。
I don't know if that's a traditional thing in Kiev in Ukraine or not, but it was certainly delicious when I used to eat it.
印度当然是咖喱的发源地，咖喱是一种令人惊叹的菜肴，我们在英国非常非常喜欢。
India, of course, which is home to the curry, which is an incredible dish and something that we're very, very fond of here in The UK.

I mean, curry is pretty much The UK's number one favorite dish in this country.

There are curry restaurants all over the place.

Wow, just curry is amazing.

It's like a totally different type of food, just that with that spice element to it.

It's fantastic.

And in a way, it makes total sense to prepare food like that, to cook the meat and put it in a sauce with all those spices and stuff, and then just serve that with bread or or rice.
这看起来完全合理，而且味道极其美味。
It just means seems to make perfect sense, and it's totally delicious food.
我想我差不多没什么别的选择了。
I guess I'm kind of running out of options.
我的意思是，我对非洲菜不太了解。
I mean, don't know much about African food.
埃塞俄比亚，还有北非，我想大概也是这样，比如羊肉、肉类、米饭、各种面包，还有香料丰富的菜肴之类的。
Ethiopia, I mean, North Africa, I suppose it's kind of like that, you know, lamb, meats, and rice, and different types of bread, and spiced dishes, and things like that, I suppose.
我知道在南非，我虽然没去过南非，但吃过一些菜，像是碎牛肉做的，非常辣，上面还加了某种配料，那种辛辣的红肉真的特别好吃。
I know in South Africa, I've had food I haven't been to South Africa, but I've had dishes which are kind of like a kind of minced beef, but very spicy with some kind of topping, just really really good spicy sort of red meats and stuff.
是的，没错。
It's yeah.
都很好吃。
It's all good.
都很美味。
It's all delicious.
所以我想我已经基本谈完了这个关于食物的话题，但我觉得我还没有完全讲透。
So I guess I've pretty much covered this subject of food, but I don't think I've I've totally dealt with it.

There's still loads and loads of stuff that I could talk about when it comes to food.

And I'm planning to do other episodes in the future where I deal with the subject of food more more sort of comprehensively, I think.

I think that's probably fair to say comprehensively.

So let's see.

At the moment, I am in the process of preparing myself to get, to buy, to purchase a new kitchen.
这其实是个挺大的事。
And this is actually quite a big deal.
我不清楚你们国家的情况，但在英国，如果要安装一个新的厨房，简直是一大麻烦。
I don't know what it's like in your countries, but if you have to get a new kitchen installed in England, it's like a big hassle.
这真的非常烦人且困难。
It's really annoying and difficult.
首先，你得自己测量一下厨房，大致了解各个台面的尺寸等等。
First of all, you have to sort of measure your own kitchen and get a basic idea of how big all the surfaces are and everything.
然后你会带着这些测量数据去不同的厨房供应商那里。
And then you would take those measurements to different kitchen providers.
比如百货商店或者宜家，我们在英国叫宜家，尽管我认为在大多数其他国家你们也叫宜家。
So high street shops or shops like IKEA, we call it IKEA in UK, although I think in most other countries you call it IKEA.
像约翰·刘易斯、Magnet、Homebase、B&Q这些店，都是你可以购买厨房的地方。
Places like John Lewis or Magnet or Homebase, B and Q, these are all shops where you might purchase a kitchen.

Then you go to those places and you try and arrange for them to come out and send an agent to come and measure your kitchen.

Every single person who went up to the members of staff had some kind of complaint or problem, and these members of staff just didn't care.

And they were even sort of talking to each other a little bit behind the counter.

Most of them were done in a kind of stenciled style.

And so most of those were sort of stenciled works, some of them more complicated than others.

And so it's interesting to to see all of these different bits of work crop up.

But I think Exit Through the Gift Shop kind of explains everything, so I think I ought to watch that.

And then this Mazda drives along a road in a city somewhere, and the door closes and the drums stop and it's silent.

And so they were kind of a huge sort of McDonald's style corporation.

So it'd be like really sort of getting these people through, getting the English lessons out really quickly and as efficiently as you can.

The school were a bit sort of old fashioned, I suppose, in their teaching style.

And so I found it really interesting.

And you'd sort of rush out of the lesson and into the teacher's room, and then you would have files which are reports for all the students.

So after each lesson, have to write like a report of what they did and their performance.

You have to write a report for each student, so there'd be like three reports.

You write them all really quickly, put the files back in the right position depending on their number, and then look on the wall at the names for your next lesson and pick out those files.

So pick out those three people, check the file, see all the lessons that they've already done, just so find the lessons that they haven't done, pick a lesson that they haven't yet done, look in the book, find the course book, look at the lesson that you're going to do, pick up all the other files and the book, and go into class and start teaching, all in all in just ten minutes.

And you used to have to do that about eight times a day.

Sometimes teaching kids, so the bell would go and you're just surrounded by kids on the floor with all the pens and the paper everywhere.

You've got to pack it all up together, get the kids out of the room, rush upstairs, and back into another lesson, which would often be with, like, a group of sort of businessmen.

So it's just kind of, pretty crazy, a bit ridiculous, really, those days.

But it was really good training for my teaching, and it kind of helped me to think on my feet.

I can't stress that enough, really, I think, for us teachers.

And if you listen to the students really carefully, you can pick up on all their mistakes, and you should write down all their errors, every error that they make.

So you're not only correcting the mistakes they make, but you're sort of upgrading the English or sort of, let's say, kind of pimping the English to make it sound much more natural by inserting all the natural expressions and things.

It's a really good way of dealing with grammar in a remedial way.

And then on top of the grammar, you can add vocab, because often it's not just grammar that we use to structure our sentences, but sort of lexical chunks or phrases of vocabulary are extremely important.

And I think if anyone who listens to Luke's English podcast will certainly I imagine you will now, after having listened to a number of the episodes in which I give you advice on how to use the podcast to improve your English.

I imagine that most of you out there now are listening really carefully for those chunks of language or those phrases, those kinds of lexical chunks as it were.

So that was one there, just as it were or I mean, I've used I've used lots of different expressions in this episode.

So you have you should think of it like that, that there are combinations of prepositions with nouns, prepositions and adjectives, or prepositions and verbs.

Those are all sort of phrasal verbs.

You could just be aware of how the words all link up together, and giving people feedback and introducing more natural phrases is a really good way of doing that.

So if you're a sort of diligent student, if you're observant and you're a good listener, then you will pick up various phrases from listening to Luke's English podcast.

If you're a teacher, then you'll, I imagine, sort of listen to your students carefully.

I think that probably there are two ways of of of learning English using this podcast.

One is just to listen to it in a kind of open minded way, just sort of follow what I'm saying and just enjoy the content and stuff.
另一种方式则是更仔细地分析语言。
The other way would be to sort of examine the language a bit more carefully.

One way to do that is to try and transcribe a section of the podcast.

So you would like listen to five minutes, maybe the first five minutes of the episode, and just try to write down word for word everything that I say, and that starts to help you clarify some expressions because suddenly you see the words laid out in front of you on the page, and you start to put them together.

You might be able to draw circles around them or underline certain things, start to notice things about the tenses that I'm using, start to notice the way that I use different structures and different combinations of words.

When you see them written down, for many people, they're kind of visual learners.

They learn by looking at words and imagining the word chunks and actually seeing the words in their mind.

I think a lot of people learn words by reading them, and in fact, this probably accounts for the fact that many people use words with the wrong pronunciation.

Many learners of English that I meet, they pronounce a word just by the way it's read, And so I think that means that they've probably learnt the word by reading it.

I mean, I expect that it may be that people learn by reading mainly because it's kind of easier to read.

For example, if you're in another country where you don't have access to native speakers, and maybe you don't listen to English radio or very much English on TV, then you're probably going to pick up most of your English by reading it.

But nowadays with the internet and podcasts and, you know, Luke's English podcast, you can learn your English by actually hearing it as well.

I think it's extremely good for your English if you listen to sort of extended bits of audio like this.

And whenever you like something, you can just take it off the conveyor belt, sit there, and eat it.

And in the same way, Luke's English podcast just keeps coming past, just keeps coming through as you listen to it, goes through your ears like that, and it's just a succession of phrases in English and words and tenses and bits of grammar and pronunciation.

And you can just pick whichever bits that you like and just store them and just use them yourselves.

I think it's a really great way of doing it.

Of course, you should study as well.

You should use your grammar books and do your studies and exercises and things too.

And in combination with those things, of course, try and speak wherever possible.

Just make as many efforts to just continue speaking to people, you know, use your opportunities you have.

You might need to sign up to a conversation class or something.

And if you have absolutely no one to speak to, you can always speak to yourself.

You could try recording yourself, or you could even have a stupid sort of dialogue where you're both people, you know?

I mean, think that's possible.

Like, for example, you could go, alright, mate.

You could do that.

I mean, there there's a danger, of course, that if you do that, then you might become a bit mental.

You know, you might become a bit of a nutter or something.

But if you've got no choice, then you have to do it.

Just don't let people catch you talking to yourself like that.

What you should probably do is find someone, grab them, pull them into your into your room, and then have a conversation with them, and just try and use all the English that you've got in your head as a result of Luke's English podcast.

I think as well, I think what would be a really good idea is if you're young I mean, if when you're young, you learn language incredibly easily, incredibly quickly.

So if you've got, like, teenage kids or something, get them to listen to Luke's English podcast as well, and they'll just soak it all up.

I mean, I'm sure that there are people out there I've had messages from people who say that their pronunciation is improved just from listening to Luke's English podcast.
