像AI一人公司、OPC、超级个体或AI虚拟伙伴这样的话题，已经在中文社交媒体上广泛传播，我认为这反映了中国构建创业生态方式的重大转变，因为我之前已经提到过。

Both topics like AI one person companies or OPCs or super individuals or AI virtual partners, these have gone viral on Chinese social media platforms, and I guess this is reflecting a pretty significant shift in the way that the country is building its entrepreneurial landscape because I think I mentioned it already.

传统上，当我们想到创办自己的企业时，会想到需要大量前期资金和众多人员参与，但OPC正在改变这一切。

Traditionally, when we think about building your own business, we think about a lot of money up front, a lot of people need to involve be involved, but the OPC is changing all of that.

尤其是在AI能力日益增强的时代，它为公司由几台AI和一个人共同运营提供了更多可能性。

Especially in the era when, the AI is just becoming more and more capable and is giving more possibilities that a company can run by couple of AIs and also one person.

一人公司的概念起源于2013年的英国公司法，最初在法律意义上指一人有限责任公司。

So the concept of this one person company is originated from The UK company law in 2013, originally referring to one person limited liability companies in the legal sense.

而在我们刚刚提到的AI浪潮中，它被重新定义并演变为一种新型创业模式：个人或极小团队借助AI工具，能够实现从创意到运营的完整闭环。

And in the wave of artificial intelligence that we just mentioned, it has been redefined and evolved into a new type of entrepreneurial model where an individual or just very small team can achieve a full link closed loop from idea to operation with the help of AI tools.

因此，可能只需要一个人或团队中少数几人，就能完成从公司注册、税务处理、登记手续、达成交易到所有后续工作的全部流程。

So probably just with one person or few people in the team, you will finish everything from starting up the company, doing the tax, doing the registration, finish the deal, and then everything.

I've even seen the advertisements for these tools, these AI tools on social media when I'm scrolling, and they're advertised like this.

And then I keep scrolling because I don't have my own one person company, so that's not applicable to me.

And also when it comes to, I think, the support coming from, for example, the governments.

And, they can just do everything from just post listing, do marketing things, make inquiries, complete transactions and handle tax filing.

It's literally helping you to do things, and I think that's why people are saying that, wow, we're really entering the era of the year of AI agents.

I was surprised to find that it was even that high back in in 2019, But it's still growing, and it's continuing to grow as well.

But I wanna talk about the the examples that are here in China because there are plenty to talk about.

First of all, we have a lot of sort of industrial parks or industrial zones that offer spaces for this one person companies to to to to register and operate.

For example, in Beijing, in the district of Haidian, in particularly in the area of Zhongguancun, they have this park where people can start their own business.

比如，有一位叫李涛的人。

For example, there's one person called Li Tao.

他非常有趣地根据自己海外求学的经历创办了公司，因为他在国外学习时遇到的第一个大难题就是如何找到想就读的学校。

He very interestingly, he started his company from his own experiences because when he was studying overseas, the biggest first headache that he encountered was to, you know, find the school, the college that you want to study.

还有想申请的课程项目。

And for example, the program that you want to enroll yourself into.

但这可能是个问题，因为如果你在中国长大，外面的信息会非常繁杂，你不知道该做何选择。

But that can be a problem because when you were studying in China your whole life, the information out there can be very overwhelming, and you don't know which choice to make.

And now Li Tao coming back from his study overseas, he started to integrate AI technology and building this study abroad matching platform for students.

Oh, so he took the data from the overseas university programs and and input it into the platform.

And then it helps the students figure out where to go.

That's about $14.

And in within a couple of months, he he was able to get about 3,000 users.

And I guess that's one of the advantages, isn't it?

Is that when you are a one person company, you don't have a lot of overhead.

You don't have a lot of monthly bills to pay, so that saving gets passed on to your customers.

Also, the examples includes the precision medicine area.

One founder called Tang Meng, and she they are, like, producing that kind of products that leverage population genetic data and also patients' medication history using AI algorithms to predict side effects of their their patients.

This is an area that has previously been overlooked in clinical practice in China, and they've established a close relationship and partnership with National Cancer Center to build valuable data assets.

And so far, they've gathered case data from over 5,000 cancer patients resulting in more than a million follow-up records.

And that is also, I think, another point of another point of a lot of these people would like to do this one person company because they can focus on that very specific detailed area that maybe is still has a huge market, and then they can just focus more on the the research part when they can put other things aside or outsource it to other part of the company or so I think that is also one of the, I think, benefits of running a one person company.

Yeah.

Because they can start their idea really fast when when it compares to, for example, a bigger company.

When you have an idea as a staff member, you need to make, I don't know, millions of proposals to your bosses, to the supervisors.

But now with OPCs, with one person companies, you don't have to do that.

For example, I have another example coming from.

He he now runs his company in Shanghai.

他注意到，当中国许多工厂试图拓展海外市场时，在如何进行海外营销和品牌建设方面会遇到困难。

He noticed that when a lot of factories in China, when they are trying to expand overseas, they face difficulties when it comes to, you know, how to do their marketing and how to do their branding in a foreign environment.

他开始利用人工智能工具进行研究和文档处理，自己则专注于与客户和制造商协调。

And he sort of start also leveraging AI tools and on research, on document processing, and he himself can focusing on coordinating with these clients and manufacturers.

So very fastly, one year after founding of his company, he has reached a number of agreements with scented candle manufacturings and open up online stores for them.

So if we are thinking about, for example, a bigger company like Alibaba, it will cost more than one year, I guarantee.

Because the concept or the idea of a one person company isn't brand new in 2026 or even 2025, but why are they all of a sudden taking off?

The one thing is that we've been mentioning the AI technology is upgrading and it's getting so fast in recent years.

I guess the literacy of these founders, the AI literacy, I mean, is an important aspect as well because if you have multiple AI tools running your company, you have to know exactly how to use those AI tools.

And also right now, I think most of the entrepreneurs in their twenties or even early thirties, they are quite familiar with the use of AI.

For example, there is a data coming from Tencent Research Institute.

他们表示，近96%的人使用过AIGC产品，其中近70%的人每天都使用。

They said that almost 96% of people have used AIGC products and nearly 70% use them every single day.

所以他们对这些工具非常熟悉，尤其是与其他世代相比。

So they're quite familiar, especially compared to other generations.

And this is getting into schools now too.

Soul App还发布过另一份报告，称99.2%的大学生都曾使用过AI生成内容工具。

There was another report from Soul App, and it said that 99.2%, that's basically everybody of university students have used AI generated content tools before.

其中，几乎100%的人中有66%表示，当遇到问题时，他们会本能地首先求助于AI，尤其是对很多年轻人来说。

And amongst that, almost 100%, 66% said that when they run into a problem, they instinctively turn to AI first for many young people.

对现在很多人来说，我认为这已经成为一种默认反应——当你不知道某个问题的答案时。

And for many people in general now, I think it's their default reaction now when you don't know the answer to something.

这就像是过去你遇到问题时，会去上网搜索一样。

It's like when you used to go to the Internet before and type in your question.

Now people are using AI for it, but not just things about, you know, what should I cook for dinner if I don't have this ingredient?

Now they're asking about how to run companies and things like that.

And also, I think I do want to also say that policy support is another thing.

例如，在中国，当我们谈论注册一家一人有限责任公司时，法律上曾要求至少需要10万元人民币才能注册。

For example, in China, when we are talking about starting even one person's limited company, in the legal sense, they required to at least you have to have 100,000 yuan to register.

但现在这个要求已经取消了。

But now that requirement is gone.

所以你可以用任何你能凑到的资金来创办公司。

So you can start with whatever amount of money you have to start a company.

根据2024年的一份报告，约90%的这些一人公司创始人，初始资本都不到500美元。

And according to a report from 2024, about 90% of these one person company founders, they start with less than $500 in their initial capital.

Basically, then it's it's available for everyone.

So so you can see that even the laws and the governmental system are sort of clearing a lot of barriers for them.

That's the idea of a startup because and I was just thinking about, you know, what's the difference between this one person company and a sole proprietorship, like running your own business, like running a restaurant or

But when you're, having this one person company, it is a limited liability company with only one owner, which means the business is a separate legal entity.

Which means that when there are something bad happened or you need to declare bankruptcy for a company, then the it is only risk is the capital that they invested in the company, not the whole wealth that it will have.

And I think that is also one of the aspects of getting the risk down when people are thinking about starting up.

Particularly starting this year in 2026, we see a lot of Chinese cities and provinces rolling out plans and measures and support basically for these entrepreneurs, for these small startups.

例如，上海推出了名为‘超级个体2088’的计划，不仅提供大量税收减免和省级优惠政策。

For example, in Shanghai, they have this super individual 2088 initiative that not only offers a lot of, for example, tax reduction, provincial preferential policies.

他们还为创业者提供零租金的住宿支持。

They're also offering support, for example, zero zero rent for entrepreneurs and accommodation.

因此，对于那些不住在上海的年轻人来说，他们根本不必担心房租问题。

So for these young people who are not living in Shanghai, they don't have to worry about rent in the first place.

They can just start trialing very easily.

And also the same thing can happen in, for example, in the city of Shenzhen.
