Speaker 1

你好。

Hello.

Speaker 1

欢迎收听《斯诺克现场》播客。

Welcome to the Snooker Scene podcast.

Speaker 1

我是戴夫·亨顿。

I'm Dave Hendon.

Speaker 1

这期节目我们来玩个测验,以前从没做过,以后大概也不会再有。

We're gonna start the this episode with a quiz, which has never happened before and will probably never happen again.

Speaker 1

这不是比赛。

It's not a competition.

Speaker 1

也没有奖品。

There's no prize.

Speaker 1

其实,我会在节目结尾公布答案。

In fact, I'll give the answer at the end of the episode.

Speaker 1

不过你完全可以大声喊出来,或者在路上随便拦住一个人,如果你知道答案的话。

But you're free to shout out loud or just stop random people in the street if you know the answer.

Speaker 1

我会给你列一个选手名单,你要告诉我他们之间有什么共同点。

So I'm gonna give you a list of players, and you have to tell me what connects them.

Speaker 1

我先把这个名单念一遍。

So I'll give you this list.

Speaker 1

这个名单是有顺序的,排列是有讲究的。

Now this list is in order, so there is an order to the list.

Speaker 1

明白吗?

Okay?

Speaker 1

名单上是雷·里德恩、肯·多尔蒂、阿里·卡特、凯伦·威尔逊,而且很快很可能还会再加一个人进去。

It's Ray Reardon, Ken Doherty, Ali Carter, Karen Wilson, and almost certainly another player will be added to that list at some point soon.

Speaker 1

我再把名单说一遍。

So I'll give you the list again.

Speaker 1

雷·里德恩、肯·多尔蒂、阿里·卡特、凯伦·威尔逊,很快还会再有一个名字加到这个名单上。

Ray Reardon, Ken Doherty, Ali Carter, Karen Wilson, and there'll be another name added to that list very soon.

Speaker 1

好。

Okay.

Speaker 1

就在这条重磅消息之后,我们正式开启这一期节目。当然,莱斯特那边已经进行了九天的资格赛。

On that bombshell, we we start the episode, and of course, we've had nine days of qualifying in Leicester.

Speaker 1

你想想看,这事儿都快到赛季末了,好像谁都不记得它发生过似的。

I think you look at it, and it's one of those, you know, later in the season, it's almost like everyone's forgotten it ever happened.

Speaker 1

但实际上,因为中国公开赛和武汉公开赛奖金高、积分多,对好几位选手来说,这波比赛意义重大。

But actually, because the China and Wuhan opens are big money events, in terms of ranking points, for several players for both reasons, it's been significant.

Speaker 1

对那些开局顺利的选手来说,这让他们早早攒下了一笔积分,打下了好基础。

It's been significant in terms of players making a good start, getting a good store of points under their belt.

Speaker 1

反过来,那些没拿好成绩的选手,现在就悬了——赛季末排名表虽然只是个初步预测,但已经把本赛季即将清零的积分都算进去了。

Equally for players who haven't done that, there are players on the end of season list, which is a very provisional list, but taking all the points off that are coming off in the season to come.

Speaker 1

有几位选手现在处境挺危险的,我给你说几个名字啊:杰米·琼斯排在赛季末名单末尾,也就是说他本赛季的积分马上要被清掉;卢卡·布拉塞尔第71,里基·沃尔登第65。如果他们现在的位置不变,赛季结束就得降级。而本·沃拉斯顿刚好卡在第60名,勉强安全。

There are certain players who are in a spot of bother and I'll give you some names here, okay, so Jamie Jones is on the end of season list, so again it's points that are gonna come off during the season, seventy first, Luca Brassell sixty sixth, Ricky Walden sixty fifth, so at the moment if that if they stay in those places they will be relegated at the end of the season and the likes of Ben Wollaston just inside at 60.

Speaker 1

当然,情况随时可能变,也一定会变。但我说的这些选手,一个都没能在这几站比赛中突围出来。

Now a lot can change and will change but to the players I mentioned there none of them actually made it through in any of the tournaments.

Speaker 1

最成功的球员是姚鹏程,六场比赛全胜。

The most successful player was Yao Peng Cheng, won all six of his matches played.

Speaker 1

他六战全胜,还在世界杯资格赛中打出了四杆破百,六场全赢。

So he won all six matches, he actually made four centuries in the World Cup qualifiers, so six out of six.

Speaker 1

上个赛季他总共赢了十场,那是他刚上职业巡回赛的第一年。

Now last season he won 10 in total, it was his first season on tour.

Speaker 1

他来自中国,年纪比其他中国球员大一些,29岁了,算是很晚才转职业,第一年表现并不理想,但显然现在情况好转了——他在世锦赛资格赛里赢了几场,赛季末开始找到状态。

He's from China, a little bit older than, you know, some of the other Chinese players, he's 29, so quite a late turning professional, didn't have the best first season, but clearly things are looking we actually won a couple of matches in the world championship qualifiers, so at the end of the season, you start to come good.

Speaker 1

八位保持不败的球员中,有五位是中国选手。

Of the eight unbeaten players, five were actually Chinese.

Speaker 1

四战全胜的有杰克逊·佩奇、陆洪宇、张哲和常 Bing Yu,三战全胜的有侯赛因·瓦菲、潘俊杰和德布·吉尔伯特。

Four out of four Jackson Page, Lu Hong Yu, Zhang Zhe, and Chang Bing Yu, and three out of three, Hussein Vafi, Panjung Zhu, and Deb Gilbert.

Speaker 1

有些球员比赛场次少,是因为他们后来才加入的。

Some some had to play fewer matches because, of course, they were coming in later.

Speaker 1

另外,有些球员在世界公开赛中要打外卡赛,所以部分比赛被推迟了。

Also, some players in the World Open, they're they're gonna play a wild card at the venue, so matches have been held over.

Speaker 1

这周挺有意思的,确实有不少亮眼的表现。

So it was an interesting week and certainly, you know, there were there were some standout performances.

Speaker 1

尤其是常彬宇,这个赛季很多人都在关注他。

Mean, Changbin gyu, lot of people are looking at him this season.

Speaker 1

我也挺看好张俊的。

I I like the look of Zhang Jun as well.

Speaker 1

我觉得他真是个特别的球员。

I do think he's he's a bit of a sort of one off really.

Speaker 1

他是个独一无二的选手。

He's a unique player.

Speaker 1

他击球力量特别大,虽然移动不算快,但非常有效。你可能还记得,上个赛季他在威尔士公开赛上赢过马克·塞尔比等人,还打进了苏格兰和威尔士公开赛的四强。这个赛季他值得关注。不过这些都过去了,现在我们可以开始冠军联赛了——你听这期节目的时候,比赛可能已经开始了,因为这一期是周一发布的。

He he hits the ball incredibly hard, he's not the quickest player either but effective, you might remember he beat Mark Selby amongst others at the Welsh Open last season, in fact he got to the quarters of the Scottish and Welsh Opens, he could be one to watch this season, but anyway that's all done and it means we can now start the championship league, which as you listen to this, is probably already underway because this episode comes out on Monday.

Speaker 1

这种比赛很多人都搞不明白。

It's one of these events that a lot of people just don't understand.

Speaker 1

一共要打二十一天。

It's twenty one days.

Speaker 1

我知道很多人觉得赛程太长了。

I know people think it's too long.

Speaker 1

他们说得也许有道理。

They may be correct.

Speaker 1

但也可能没道理。

They may not be.

Speaker 1

这纯粹是个人看法的问题。

It's just a matter of opinion.

Speaker 1

但对选手来说,最多只能打三天。

But for players, the most days I can play is three.

Speaker 1

总共分三个阶段。

There's three stages.

Speaker 1

你先打第一组,一天之内比完。

So you play your first group, which is over the course of a day.

Speaker 1

如果赢了,就进第二组,也是在一天内比完。

If you win that, you go into the second group again over the course of a day.

Speaker 1

然后是最后一组,之后会在晚上进行一场五局三胜的淘汰赛决赛。

And then there's the last group, which is followed by a final, a knockout final, best of five in the evening.

Speaker 1

所以其实并不需要花太多时间,恰恰相反。

So it's not actually a big commitment, quite the opposite.

Speaker 1

对于那些想拿排名积分的选手来说,我知道这赛事的积分不算最高,但几千分的进账也可能非常关键,而且你也不用在莱斯特的马特奥勒馆里耗太久。

So any players who are sort of looking for ranking points, I know it's not the biggest event in terms of that, but actually, you know, it could be for a few thousand here and there, could be very significant and it's not a huge, you know, amount of time you've got to spend at the Matteole Arena there in Leicester.

Speaker 1

你可以通过各大Matroom的YouTube频道观看赛事直播。

You can watch coverage of the event on the various matroom YouTube channels.

Speaker 1

我应该说得更清楚一点:这项赛事其实在全球多个电视频道都有播出,具体信息可以去冠军联赛官网查。在英国,你可以通过Maxroom台球的YouTube频道看一号台,通过Matchroom多台球频道看二号台。

So well I should probably rather than just saying that actually make it clear, mean it is on various television channels around the world, so check the Champions League website for that, but in The UK you can watch table one on the Maxroom pool YouTube channel and table two on the Matchroom multi pool YouTube channel.

Speaker 1

一号台有解说,是Matchroom台球的YouTube频道;而World Nine Ball TV则是他们的WST赛事版本,如果你是订阅用户的话。

So table one, that's got the commentary on it, Matchroom pool YouTube channel and World nine ball TV, that's their version of WST play, if you're a subscriber to that.

Speaker 1

Matchroom多体育频道负责二号台,全球还有很多其他频道也会转播,所以这项赛事已经覆盖到世界各地了,这可是好消息。

Matchroom multi sport has table two and there's lots of channels around the world who also take it, so we're going out all over the world, which is good news.

Speaker 1

比赛将在周一正式开始。

So that starts on Monday.

Speaker 1

我们最近收到了不少邮件,其中有一封来自艾登·达勒里,他是爱尔兰人,我敢肯定,因为他提到了肯。

Now we've had various emails in, we've had some about the qualifiers and Aidan here, Aidan Dullaheri, who is Irish I'm sure because he mentions Ken as well.

Speaker 1

当然,不是非得是爱尔兰人才会聊肯,不过他在这封邮件里详细说了,我来念一下。

Not that you have to be Irish to talk about Ken, but anyway he explains all that in the I'll just read the email.

Speaker 1

抱歉,我刚才没念完。

Sorry, I didn't.

Speaker 1

他说:我想发个反馈,特别感谢你们和团队在WST直播平台上为中Open和世界杯预选赛做的台一解说。

He said, I just wanted to check-in to send a big compliment to you and the team during the table doing the table one commentary for the China Open and World Cup qualifiers on WST play.

Speaker 1

虽然只是解说一张球台,但对观众来说差别真的很大,让整个赛事显得更有分量。

It may only be commentary on one table, but it makes such a difference to the viewer watching and makes the tournament feel so much more meaningful in an overall sense.

Speaker 1

由于爱尔兰这边HBO Max一直有问题,能看上一些预选赛,我已经很感激了。

I'm thankful for being able to watch some of the qualifiers too given the continued issues with HBO Max here in Ireland.

Speaker 1

看吧,我就说他是爱尔兰的。

See, told you it in Ireland.

Speaker 1

如果你能聊聊,你和两位迈克尔是怎么做预选赛解说的?

If you can discuss it, you give us an insight into how you and the two Michaels commentate on the qualifiers?

Speaker 1

你是在莱斯特吗?

Are you in Leicester?

Speaker 1

你在演播室里吗?

Are you in a studio?

Speaker 1

还是说你在家也能做这部分?

Or can you do this part from home?

Speaker 1

希望对你来说还算轻松,每天至少有一场直播,别太累着了。

Hopefully, it's favorable for you and not too tiring when you have at least a session every day.

Speaker 1

今年能有这个观赛体验的提升,真的让人很高兴,也很期待接下来整个赛季的资格赛。

Delighted to see this addition to the viewing experience for this year and looking forward to seeing the qualifiers throughout the season.

Speaker 1

过去几周,对于爱尔兰的斯诺克球迷来说,也是个充满感慨的时期,因为肯·多赫蒂宣布退役了。

It's also been a poignant time for Irish snooker fans in the last few weeks with the announcement of Ken Doherty's retirement.

Speaker 1

说实话,要不是肯在1997年赢得世锦赛,我今天可能早就不再看斯诺克了。

I genuinely don't think I'd still be watching snooker today without Ken winning the nineteen ninety seven world championship.

Speaker 1

那场比赛的结果太了不起了,不仅对他个人,对整个国家来说都是如此。

And what an amazing result that was, not just for him, but for the country.

Speaker 1

我们国家在任何体育项目里都出不了几个世界冠军,肯绝对是其中最出色的之一。

We haven't had many world champions in any sport, so Ken is one of our very best.

Speaker 1

他永远是都柏林人心中的宝贝。

He'll always be the darling of Dublin.

Speaker 1

从那时候到2003年,肯正处于巅峰期,接连打进三大赛和马耳他、威尔士、泰国这些排名赛的决赛,可惜没再多拿一两个冠军,尤其是2003年的世锦赛决赛。

From about then to 2003 when Ken was at his peak and getting to all those triple crown finals and the ranking tournaments in the likes of Malta, Wales and Thailand, shame he didn't win one or two more, especially the o three world championship final.

Speaker 1

再加上福格勒·奥布莱恩也频频逼近重大冠军,现在真是爱尔兰斯诺克迷的黄金时代。

With Fugler O'Brien getting close to big wins too, it's such a wonderful time to be an Irish snooker fan.

Speaker 1

我估计这辈子再也看不到这样的盛况了。

I doubt we'll ever see it again.

Speaker 1

希望有一天亚伦·希尔也能达到这样的稳定水平。

I hope Aaron Hill one day can get to something like this consistent level.

Speaker 1

咱们走着瞧吧。

Let's see what happens.

Speaker 1

但总的来说,我只是想向肯致敬——他不仅是一位伟大的冠军,更是一位了不起的人,和这项运动的杰出大使。

But overall, just wanted to pay tribute to Ken, what a magnificent champion he is, as well as a wonderful man and ambassador for the sport.

Speaker 1

希望他退役后,能更享受远离职业巡回赛的时光,还有他做的其他事情。

And hopefully, he can enjoy the retirement from the main circuit and the other work he does even more than before.

Speaker 1

我还没见过他,因为我是疫情后才开始看比赛的,一直没机会去他在这里办的表演赛。

I'm yet to meet him as I only started going to tournaments post COVID and never managed to get the chance to get to any exhibitions he does here.

Speaker 1

但希望有一天能有机会见到他。

But hopefully that will change one day.

Speaker 1

再次感谢你做这个播客以及其他所有工作。

Thanks again for the work you do on the podcast and elsewhere.

Speaker 1

期待夏天晚些时候大型赛事开赛,尤其是上海大师赛。

Looking forward to the big tournaments getting going later in the summer, especially with the Shanghai Masters.

Speaker 1

谢谢你,艾登。

Thank you, Aidan.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

你对肯的这番致敬说得真好,你说的每一点都完全正确。

Well, nice tribute there to Ken, and, you know, everything you say is absolutely true, of course.

Speaker 1

至于资格赛怎么安排,其实怎么搞都行。

In terms of the the qualifying, well, it doesn't really matter how we do it.

Speaker 1

我不太确定能不能谈这个,但我只想说一点。

I'm not I don't know, you know, whether I can discuss that, but all I'll say is this.

Speaker 1

明白吗?

Okay?

Speaker 1

在现场并不总是更有优势。

Being at the venue is not always necessarily helpful.

Speaker 1

以前我们常去德国,在柏林的坦珀多姆办比赛。

We used to go to Germany to the Temperdrome there in Berlin.

Speaker 1

德国大师赛办得特别好,场地很棒,大家都很热情。

Great tournament at German masters, great venue, everyone's very friendly.

Speaker 1

但解说席离球台简直有一英里远。

But the commentary box was a mile from the table.

Speaker 1

根本没必要往窗外看,根本看不清球台在干什么。

You couldn't there's no point even really trying to look out the window and see what was happening because you couldn't really see the table.

Speaker 1

所以,你人在现场,并不意味着就能看到所有细节。

So it doesn't always follow that if you're at the venue, you can see everything.

Speaker 1

我们解说的内容,其实任何体育项目都一样,都是观众在屏幕上看到的东西。

What we commentate on, and this is true of every sport, is what the viewer sees.

Speaker 1

你解说的对象其实是屏幕,因为你是在为正在观看比赛的观众解说。就连现在正在举行的世界杯—— arguably 是最重要的体育赛事——也有解说员在索尔福德的BBC演播室里做解说,这完全没问题。

So you're commentating to the monitor because you're commentating to what people are watching and even the World Cup which is on at the moment which arguably is the biggest sporting event of them all, there are people commentating on certain matches from Salford, right, on the BBC and that's no shade on anybody.

Speaker 1

在美国,有些比赛也是通过国际广播中心的信号来解说的,因为要跑这么远的距离,让解说团队到处奔波根本不现实,偶尔从IBC做解说也就成了常态。

Also there are matches being commentated off tube in America because it's such a vast amount of distances for the commentary teams to travel that they're doing the odd match from the IBC, the International Broadcast Centre.

Speaker 1

这本身没什么不对,毕竟虽然在球场现场踢足球更好,但最终我们还是靠屏幕来解说。

Again, there's nothing wrong with that because ultimately, although it's better in football to be in the stadium, you're commentating ultimately off the monitor.

Speaker 1

很多体育项目本来就是这么做的,比如高尔夫,解说员就坐在小屋里盯着屏幕;自行车赛,解说员也不是骑在车上追着比赛跑,而是在演播室里看着画面。

And so much sport is done that way, you know, golf, they basically sit in a porter cabin and just look at monitors cycling, you know, they're not on a bike sort of following the action, they're in again, they're in a sort of booth.

Speaker 1

我知道这没完全回答你的问题,但我觉得已经很接近了。

So I know that doesn't quite answer your question, but it got close to it, I think.

Speaker 1

我刚才说这么多,是因为经常有人——尤其是在我们做Eurosport和AT&T的时候——自以为聪明地说:‘你们解说上海大师赛?哎呀,你们不就是在伦敦西区的一个工业区里吗?’

The reason I said all that is because quite often you'll get, certainly when we do Eurosport and AT and T, you'll get people sort of thinking they're clever saying, you know, you do the Shanghai Masses, oh, well, yeah, you were in an industrial estate in in, you know, West London.

Speaker 1

那你怎么会觉得,要是我在上海,就能看到更多呢?

Well, what makes you think I could see more if I was in Shanghai?

Speaker 1

这正是我想说的。

That's what I'm saying.

Speaker 1

其实很多时候,你根本看不到更多。

You know, often you can't.

Speaker 1

我知道你没这么说,艾登,不过我先发制人,提前把话说了。

I know you didn't say that, Aidan, but anyway, I'm just getting my retaliation in early.

Speaker 1

另外,萨姆·韦斯利也发来消息,谈到了资格赛的事。

Now, Sam Wesley has also written in about the qualifiers.

Speaker 1

他说:希望你们一切安好。

He says, hope this finds you well.

Speaker 1

几周前,我收到WST发来的邮件,说WST Play将为所有排名赛资格赛的第一台比赛提供解说,我特别高兴。

I was really happy to receive an email from WST a couple of weeks ago informing me that WST Play would be offering commentary on table one for all ranking event qualifiers.

Speaker 1

因为我视力有障碍,一直依赖解说,早就盼着有这样的进展了。

I do rely on commentary due to my visual impairment and have been hoping for such a development for a long time.

Speaker 1

这让我觉得WST Play真正成了对我很有价值的服务,你们一直把中国公开赛和武汉公开赛的资格赛解说做得特别棒。

It's turned WST Play into a genuinely valuable service for me, as ever you've all been doing an excellent job with the China and Wuhan Open qualifiers.

Speaker 1

我只是希望这个服务能更灵活一些,我。

I just wish that the service itself was more versatile, I.

Speaker 1

嗯。

E.

Speaker 1

你可以把它安装在手机上,但没有专门为平板电脑或Apple TV这类机顶盒开发的原生应用。

You can install it on a smartphone, but it doesn't have native apps for tablets or set top boxes like Apple TV.

Speaker 1

这算是富人烦恼吧,不过有这个服务已经非常棒了。

First world problems, yes, and it's still tremendous we have the service.

Speaker 1

我家养了一只叫达拉的狗,每当我听到有人打出147分,她就能得到一块零食。

At home we have a dog called Darla and she receives a treat whenever I watch here a 147.

Speaker 1

你可以想象,这个赛季我听的斯诺克比赛更多了,她可高兴坏了。

As you can imagine, she's ecstatic that I'm listening to even more snooker this season.

Speaker 1

主要规矩是,我必须实时收听那个打出满分的球台才行。

The main rule is that I have to be listening live to the table on which the maximum was made.

Speaker 1

迈克尔·霍尔特上周打出的满分,可惜不算数,因为不是在一号台打的,也没人做解说。

Michael Holt's max from last week, unfortunately, doesn't count as it wasn't on table one and therefore didn't have commentary.

Speaker 1

可怜的达拉,这次又错过了奖励。

Well, poor old Darla there, missing out.

Speaker 1

不过话说回来,这个赛季我一直在玩幻想五人赛,我知道你也一样。

But anyway, I'm playing the fantasy five this season as I know you are.

Speaker 1

记得关注一下我的队伍——沿海Q队。

Keep a lookout for the coastal q team, my team.

Speaker 1

就是那个队伍。

That's the sorry.

Speaker 1

沿海Q队。

Coastal q club.

Speaker 1

沿海Q队。

Coastal q club.

Speaker 1

我的队伍,还有达拉的香蕉,以及我房东们的队伍,都是以这只狗命名的。

My team, as well as Darla's bananas, my landladies and team named after the aforementioned dog.

Speaker 1

不过话说回来,你根本没法真正关注他们,这正好引出我最后一点。

That said, you can't actually keep a lookout for them at all, which brings me to my final point.

Speaker 1

真遗憾,WST根本没有提供任何方式让我们追踪自己的幻想球队,除了偶尔收到一封邮件,或者订阅斯诺克俱乐部的播客。

It's a shame that WST doesn't actually offer a means for tracking our fantasy teams apart from the occasional email and subscribing to the snooker club podcast.

Speaker 1

我记得你以前好像提过这事。

I seem to recall you mentioning this before.

Speaker 1

如果你还不知道的话,我想提醒你一下,有个叫 snookerfantasy5.com 的网站,是乔什·恩布林做的。

In case you weren't aware of it, I wanted to draw your attention to a website called snookerfantasy5.com created by Josh Embling.

Speaker 1

他做的这个游戏规则跟WST的一样,但能实时追踪你的积分和球员比赛情况。

He offers a game which mimics the rules of the one offered by WST, but with the ability to track your points and players matches in real time.

Speaker 1

哈弗希尔还推出了自己的‘幻想人生’版本,你可以选五名首发、五名替补,换人也更自由。

Haverhill also offers his own take on the Fantasy Life format where you can pick five starters, five subs and have more transfer freedom.

Speaker 1

我玩得特别上瘾,天天看队友的比赛结果和赛程,还琢磨着该不该换人。

I'm really enjoying engaging with it, checking results and upcoming matches for my team members and planning transfers.

Speaker 1

最近几场资格赛,我的表现可不怎么样。

I haven't done terribly well in the recent qualifiers.

Speaker 1

总之,一如既往,感谢你所有的辛勤付出,祝新赛季一切顺利。

Anyway, thanks for all your great work as ever and all the best for the new season.

Speaker 1

谢谢您,萨姆。

Well, thank you Sam.

Speaker 1

很高兴你享受了资格赛的解说,接下来的资格赛还会继续有更多解说内容。

Well, I'm glad you enjoyed the qualifying and there'll be more commentary on the next lot of qualifiers.

Speaker 1

我上周提到过那个网站,乔什·埃姆布林的 snookerfantasyfive.com,你说得对,他确实能在上面实时追踪赛事进展,他确实做了很棒的工作。

Yeah, I mentioned website, Josh's website last week, Josh Emblin, the genius behind snookerfantasyfive.com, and you're right, he can follow the event on there, and you know he's done great work.

Speaker 1

说实话,我觉得有点奇怪,乔什肯定有全职工作,生活也很忙,居然还能在业余时间做出这么个服务,而真正运营幻想斯诺克比赛的机构却做不到。

I do find it a bit odd, I've got to be honest that Josh, I'm sure has a full time job and has a busy life, can sort of knock this up in his spare time to offer a service that the people actually running the Fantasy V competition can't, I.

Speaker 1

E.

E.

Speaker 1

世界斯诺克巡回赛。

World Snooker Tour.

Speaker 1

我不太明白,他们为什么不能和他合作,把他的这个平台变成官方的一部分,或者搞个联合项目?我一时想不起那个词怎么说。

And I don't really get why they can't work with him to sort of make his thing kind of their thing or or or some sort of joint, you know, what's the word I'm looking for?

Speaker 1

就是合作一下,就这么简单。

Link up, that's it.

Speaker 1

就两个词。

Two words.

Speaker 1

还是得加个连字符?

Or is it hyphenated?

Speaker 1

不过其实也没那么重要。

Anyway, it doesn't matter.

Speaker 1

搞个更正式一点的合作关系就行。

Some some sort of link up where it becomes more official.

Speaker 1

这种合作肯定得涉及资金往来,但我刚好收到过一封相关邮件,知道博彩市场规模真的有几亿英镑,要是能商业化,利润相当可观。

I'm sure money would have to change hands for that, but I I happen to know because I was sent an email about this separately, that the the fantasy sports market is worth literally hundreds of millions of pounds, know, if you could monetize that it'd actually be quite profitable potentially.

Speaker 1

当然,要想让人愿意花钱参与,奖品得足够吸引人,但上个赛季肖星桐赢了世界大奖赛的时候,我就收到过一封邮件,说我排在榜单上。

Obviously for people to spend money entering you'd have to have really good prizes, but just seems, I mean at the end of last season Shao Xing Tong won the World Grand Prix and I got an email where I was in the table.

Speaker 1

下一封邮件是世锦赛结束两周后才发来的。

The next email I got was two weeks after the World Championship finished.

Speaker 1

这段时间里,球员锦标赛、威尔士公开赛、世界公开赛、巡回锦标赛和世锦赛都已经比完了,一共五站比赛过去了。

Now in the meantime we'd had the Players Championship, the Welsh Open, the World Open, the Tour Championship and the World Championship, so five tournaments had gone by.

Speaker 1

如果你没上乔什的网站,根本没法知道自己的排名怎么样,那网站一点都不互动,我觉得这类游戏必须得有互动性。

And if you weren't on Josh's website, you didn't really know how you were doing, that's not interactive, and these games I just think need to be interactive.

Speaker 1

我觉得挺遗憾的,我知道他本来愿意跟他们合作的,结果没谈成,要是能成的话,追比赛肯定会更有趣。

So I think it's a shame that all I'll say is I know that he was willing to potentially work with them, it's a shame that it didn't work out, because I think you know it would be a more enjoyable thing to follow if it had.

Speaker 1

不过正如你所说,你还是可以去 snookerfantasyfive.com 关注赛况,那是他个人搞的网站,完全不为赚钱,非常值得支持。说到这儿,咱们再来看看马特·塔伦特对这事的看法。

But as you say you can follow it on snookerfantasyfive.com, that is his website, he set it up for no financial reward and well worth supporting, and that brings us to Matt Tarrant on the same subject.

Speaker 1

他感谢我们推荐大家去 snookerfantasyfive.com 看看。

He says thanks for the recommendation to look at snookerfantasyfive.com.

Speaker 1

这网站真棒。

What a great site.

Speaker 1

我可能有点自作主张了,但我打算建个联赛,叫‘斯诺克场景播客’,让你们的听众们来一场轻松友好的较量。

I may be taking a liberty, but I thought I'd set up a league entitled snooker scene podcast for your wonderful listeners to pit their wits in a friendly competition.

Speaker 1

如果你觉得我不该用你们播客的名字,我马上删掉。

If you'd rather I didn't use the name of your podcast, then I'll delete it.

Speaker 1

不过如果你觉得没问题,可以把截图里的代码分享出去,让大家好加入。

But if you think it's okay, please share the code on the attached screenshot for folk to join up.

Speaker 1

我完全不反对这个做法。

Well, I've got no issue with that matter at all.

Speaker 1

现在得把代码放大一点,不然看不清。

Now the code have to make this bigger to read it.

Speaker 1

代码好像是6K,全是字母缩写:6K9 I 1Q。

The code appears to be 6K these are all initials, 6K9 I 1Q.

Speaker 1

我觉得应该是6K9I1Q。

I think that's 6K9I1Q.

Speaker 1

这让我想起以前去验光,得读那一排字母,看起来这代码就是这么回事。

I've got flashbacks to the going to the opticians, you know, we have to read that list of letters, but that seems to be the code.

Speaker 1

所以,如果你想加入这个‘斯诺克场景播客联赛’,就赶紧去那个很棒的网站注册吧。

So by all means, if want you to be part of the snooker scene podcast league on that fine website, do join up.

Speaker 1

该听听托尼的了,我之前提过托尼·戴维斯,他那事儿简直像一部连续剧——他到底能不能从澳大利亚赶到邮轮台球赛呢?

Now, high time we heard from Tony, I mentioned Tony Davies of course, had the I'm going to call it a saga of his will he make it from Australia to the cruise pool or not?

Speaker 1

他确实去了。

He did.

Speaker 1

我们请他做了一期特别节目,现在他有时间静下心来回顾,这就是他的感受。

We had him on a special episode of the podcast, and now he's had time to reflect, and this is what he made of it all.

Speaker 1

他说:我回到家了,这段旅程堪称一生难忘,而我们俩也都对新赛季充满期待。

He said, I'm back home, and I've had a trip of a lifetime to reminisce over, and we both have a new season to get excited about.

Speaker 1

对所有听众,尤其是那些抱怨去克鲁西布或任何赛事太难的人,我说:别矫情了。

For all your listeners, some of whom say how hard it is to travel to the Crucible or any event, I say harden up.

Speaker 1

总的来说,我挺欣赏托尼这种直来直去的风格。

Overall, I like Tony's, no nonsense.

Speaker 1

他说:别矫情了。

Harden up, he says.

Speaker 1

我们这次全程总共走了39,722公里,也就是24,782英里,从家门口到家门口。

Overall, our trip was in total 39,722 kilometers or 24,782 miles from door to door.

Speaker 1

费用嘛,我既没算过,也不会去算,真要算出来,杰姬非得跟我拼命不可。

The cost, have not and will not be working that out as if I have it anywhere, Jackie fine, she may kill me.

Speaker 1

不过说真的,杰基是他妻子。

Seriously though, Jackie's his wife by the way.

Speaker 1

不过说真的,我们一路上玩得很开心,还遇到了不少了不起的人。

Seriously though, we had a great time and met some amazing people along the way.

Speaker 1

我想跟你们分享一下我今年旅行中的一些感受。

I thought I would give you my thoughts on a few things I encountered during my trip this year.

Speaker 1

第一件事,克鲁西布剧院。

The first thing on the list, the Crucible.

Speaker 1

真是个绝佳的场地。

What a great venue.

Speaker 1

说它在两张台子的布置下很紧凑,这话没错。

To say it's cozy in the two table setup is fair.

Speaker 1

但要说它太小,我觉得不至于。

To say it's too small, I don't think so.

Speaker 1

不过要是再挤一点,那感觉就不一样了。

But you wouldn't want to lose much space and that would change.

Speaker 1

在单桌布局下,我之前说过,简直大得有点过头了。

In the one table setup, well, I said it before, it's almost too big.

Speaker 1

门口的安保工作做得很好,大家通行都很顺畅,就算我开玩笑请安保人员和小格雷格合影,也没问题。

The security out the front worked well and people pass through easily even with me giving cheek and asking for the security people to pose with little Greg.

Speaker 1

里面该有的东西都有了,不过商品部分咱们另找时间聊吧。

Inside everything you can need, although the merchandise will be a conversation for another email.

Speaker 1

我很高兴它能继续留在那儿。

I'm glad it's staying there.

Speaker 1

只希望每个人都能有机会去一趟。

I just hope everyone gets to go.

Speaker 1

我插一句,托尼,你刚提到商品的事。

Just I'm gonna jump in there, Tony, because you mentioned the merchandise.

Speaker 1

我不打算细说这个,但我确实很喜欢他们展出的那些东西——球员们捐出自己职业生涯的纪念品,比如马甲、球杆,还有一些小物件,挺有心的,不过那些东西都摆在楼上正厅的区域,就在进剧场的门前面。

I'm not gonna talk about that, but I did I I liked the they they had sort of players give, you know, things from their career like waistcoats, cue, just various paraphernalia, which I thought was a nice touch, but that was up in the sort of general foyer upstairs just before you you know, the doors where you go into the theater.

Speaker 1

但我总觉得那里完全可以再扩大一些,我一直在想——稍等,我先说明一下——为什么克鲁西布剧院里没有一个永久性的斯诺克纪念角呢?

But I actually thought that actually that could be massively expanded, and what I've kind of wonder is, and I'm gonna caveat this in a moment, but why isn't there actually in the Crucible itself a permanent sort of memorial almost to snooker?

Speaker 1

你知道,台球馆平时其实是个剧院,但之所以在国际上出名,全是因为斯诺克。

You know, the Crucible is a theater most of the year, of course, but it's on the map internationally because of the snooker.

Speaker 1

那为什么没有留下一些永久性的纪念呢?

Why is there not some permanent record of that?

Speaker 1

当然了,现在场馆正在翻新,你要是挂满斯诺克的照片,搞不好三年后就被拆了,但我觉得,尤其是明年就要迎来五十年庆典,这么重要的历史,总该有个地方好好纪念一下。毕竟,如果你在其他时间去台球馆,除非你本来就清楚这里是世锦赛的举办地,否则根本看不到任何相关痕迹,这实在有点奇怪。

Now the caveat is they're refurbishing it, so you know you could fill a wall with pictures of snooker and it might get knocked down like in three years time, but I do feel that sort of the hit you know the history particularly the fifty years coming up next year should be marked in somewhere, because I think if you go to The Crucible at any other time of year, unless you you were aware that the world championship was held there, there's no actual sign of it, which just strikes me as a little bit strange.

Speaker 1

我知道你没提这点,托尼,但我还是插了一句。

I know that's not a point you made, Tony, but I've jumped in anyway.

Speaker 1

你继续说邮件里的下一部分吧。

Continue with your email.

Speaker 1

他说,这封邮件的下一个话题是大格雷格。

He says, next subject for this email, Big Greg.

Speaker 1

你还记得我的朋友格雷格吧?我们那次旅行时,他还被小小地调侃了一番。

You remember my mate Greg, and I was the subject of a tiny amount of mocking during our trip.

Speaker 1

他想要个纪念品。

He requested a souvenir.

Speaker 1

这周末我在比赛现场碰见他,真没想到他这么不知感恩。

I met up with him this weekend at the tournament and could not believe how ungrateful he was.

Speaker 1

他拿到了一份世界锦标赛的节目单。

He was given a program from the World Championship.

Speaker 1

是啊,门票里免费送的,但关键是心意嘛。

Yes, got it free with my ticket, but hey, it was the thought.

Speaker 1

他还从安菲尔德之旅那儿得了两副利物浦队的旧耳机,外加一双树懒图案的袜子。

He also got one, not one, but two used pairs of Liverpool FC earphones from our Anfield tour, and he got his very own pair of sloth socks.

Speaker 1

这个不知好歹的家伙居然一点都不领情,害得我直纳闷,我干嘛费这劲儿。

The grateful so and so did not appreciate it and left me wondering why I went to so much trouble.

Speaker 1

其实也没费什么劲,但毕竟是一片心意啊。

Well, no trouble actually, but still it's the thought.

Speaker 1

你说是不是?

Right?

Speaker 1

小格雷格在这儿现在可是名人了,搞不好真能上个自己的电视节目。

Little Greg continues to be a celebrity over here and may end up with his TV own TV show.

Speaker 1

大格雷格还是老样子,脾气一点没改。

Big Greg continues to be a grump.

Speaker 1

行吧,老兄。

Okay, mate.

Speaker 1

祝你新赛季看得开心。

Enjoy the new season.

Speaker 1

我还是继续看重播和WST平台的比赛,尽量避开比分吧。

I'll revert back to watching reruns and matches on WST play and trying to avoid the scores.

Speaker 1

再次感谢你让我上你的播客,还顺便逗了大格雷格,真开心。

Again, was a pleasure to meet you and annoy Big Greg by making it onto your podcast.

Speaker 1

谢谢您,托尼,对了,你接下来还有别的旅行计划吗?说来听听。

Well, thank you, Tony, and, you know, do tell us about if you got any other trips planned.

Speaker 1

说真的,很高兴你喜欢这期节目。你之前说要跟进一下周边商品的事,我得说,说实话我本来没打算买啥,但真觉得他们能做得比现在好太多——不过这话题咱们改天再聊吧。

But seriously, I'm glad you enjoyed it and do send, you said you're gonna talk about the merchandise to follow-up on that, mean I have to say just mind, I mean to be honest I wasn't looking to buy anything particularly, but I think I just think they could do so much better than than what they've got, but again that might be for another day.

Speaker 1

布莱恩·麦戈文说:希望你一切安好,你在本期节目中提到TNT合同还没公布任何细节。

Brian McGovern says, I hope you're keeping well listening to the current episode where you mentioned there's no details regarding the TNT contract.

Speaker 1

说到这个,上海大师赛会在TNT上播吗?

On that note, is the Shanghai Masters being shown on TNT?

Speaker 1

我们知不知道武汉站和中国站这些即将开赛的赛事由哪家转播?

Do we know who the broadcasters are for the upcoming tournaments like Wuhan and China?

Speaker 1

还有,主场国家还会继续被称为主场国家吗?

Also, are the home nations still going to be known as the home nations?

Speaker 1

关于这一点,我觉得没什么理由不这么叫。

Well, on that latter point, I don't see any reason why not.

Speaker 1

TMT会转播上海大师赛吗?

Are TMT showing the Shangong masters?

Speaker 1

老实说,目前我也不清楚,Brian。

At this stage, I don't know is the honest answer, Brian.

Speaker 1

我们还在等消息,现在没什么更新。

We're waiting to hear, so there's no update.

Speaker 1

但只要一有消息,我会第一时间告诉你。

But when there is, I will pass it on to you.

Speaker 1

现在Fowlerland提到,希望你度过了一个愉快的短暂休息,为接下来漫长的赛季养足了精神。

Now Fowlerland says this, I hope you enjoyed your short break and got enough rest for the long season ahead.

Speaker 1

我看到Stan Moody对Karen Wilson庆祝方式的评论,感到很失望。

I was disappointed to read Stan Moody's comments about Karen Wilson's celebration.

Speaker 1

当时我就给你发过邮件,你很正确地指出,大部分批评其实都来自社交媒体。

I had emailed you about this at the time, and you quite rightly pointed out that much of this criticism came from social media.

Speaker 1

你在上一期播客里提到,Moody是在社交媒体时代长大的,等等——

In your last podcast, you noted that Moody has grown up has grown up in a hang on a minute.

Speaker 1

结果屏幕上突然跳出一朵花,我点了个广告。

So it's come off and the a flower came up on the screen there.

Speaker 1

我点了个广告。

I clicked on an advert.

Speaker 1

你没必要知道这些,Fowler。

You don't need to know this, Fowler.

Speaker 1

你在上一期播客里提到,Moody是在社交媒体时代长大的。

In your last podcast, you noted that Moody has grown up in a social media age.

Speaker 1

这可能影响了他的反应。

That may have influenced his response.

Speaker 1

如果我是莫迪那边的人,我会劝他别纠结了,赶紧放下。

Personally, if I were in Moody's camp, I'd tell him to get over it and fast.

Speaker 1

如果他真想登上运动巅峰,前方还有更大的挑战等着他——我个人是希望他能成功的。

Far bigger challenges lie ahead if he wants to make it to the top of the sport, which I for one hope he will.

Speaker 1

我同意法瑞尔的看法,插一句,我现场解说过多场他的比赛,尤其是女子赛开赛阶段的两场。

I agree with that to Farrell and just jumping in, I'd commentated on one of his well, two of his matches in the women's opening.

Speaker 1

第一场他对阵马哈茂德·埃尔哈里迪,那是他职业第二年,第一年成绩一般,但莫迪打得非常开放,最后轻松以5比2赢了。

One of first, he was playing Mahmoud Elha Reedy, second season pro didn't have a lot of you know success the first year and Moody played a very open game there but you know he won quite comfortably five two.

Speaker 1

他对斯蒂芬·马奎尔也用了同样的打法,能打出六七个惊艳的进球,但也没少失误。

He played the same game against Stephen Maguire, potted you know you could make a reel of six or seven dazzling pots, but he missed a few as well.

Speaker 1

马奎尔是全面型选手,实力确实更胜一筹。

Maguire, a great all round match player, just kinda had a bit too much for him.

Speaker 1

我觉得现在的莫迪属于那种,必须发挥出最佳状态才能赢球的类型。

And I think Stan Moody at the moment kinda he's one of these players who kind of needs to play his best to be successful.

Speaker 1

如果他能做到,他完全有可能大有作为,但未来他需要学会在状态不佳的时候,有备选的策略。

And if he does, he could be very successful, but maybe the challenge for him going forward is to develop some sort of b game for the days when it's kind of not there.

Speaker 1

我想,这正是年轻选手需要慢慢学会的东西。

And I guess that's something young players learn.

Speaker 1

他这个年纪的时候,贾德·特鲁姆普也没有什么备选战术,一点都没有。

At his age, Jud Trump, he was 19, he didn't have a B game, just didn't.

Speaker 1

而现在,大家都知道,他已经成长为一名全面的选手了。

And now as we know, he's massively sort of all around player.

Speaker 1

事实上,斯坦·穆迪在和菲尔·海格的采访中提到,自己当时有点心态崩了。

In fact, Stan Moody, I think suggested in the interview with Phil Hague that he was kind of gone negative.

Speaker 1

不过,这大概也只是他接下来要面对的又一个挑战吧。

But anyway, it's maybe another another sort of bit of beef that he's gonna take forward.

Speaker 1

法瑞尔还继续说,我完全不同意那些年轻职业选手的说法——认为穆迪因为年纪小,对手在庆祝时就该给他留面子。

Farrelland continues, I also don't agree in any way with these young pro comments suggesting that Moody is entitled to deference from opponents in their celebrations due to his age.

Speaker 1

在我看来,这纯属胡说八道。

Absolute rubbish in my view.

Speaker 1

这是职业体育,穆迪和凯伦·威尔逊一样,都是正经的职业选手。

This is professional sport and Moody is a professional every bit as much as Karen Wilson.

Speaker 1

只要你上了128强的巡回赛,无论谁参赛,每场比赛都从平等开始,按规则较量,谁更强谁赢。

If you're on the one two eight on tour, if you're in the one two one two eight on tour, you start each match as equals, battle it out within the rules, and the best man or woman wins.

Speaker 1

当然,我们都希望看到新人崛起,新面孔出现是好事,但我认为他们不该享有任何特殊待遇。

Of course, we all want to see new players succeed, and it's great to see new blood, but I don't think they're entitled to any special treatment.

Speaker 1

另外,我对听众们提出的几种新赛制挺感兴趣的。

Finally, I was interested in some of the new formats suggested by your listeners.

Speaker 1

不过,我对彻底改变这项运动的核心结构持谨慎态度。

Likely, I'm cautious about drastic changes to the core structure of the game.

Speaker 1

我觉得像900式这样的赛事挺合适,能填补淘汰赛的激烈和三大赛的沉稳之间的空档,但我最想看到的其实是团体赛。

I do see a place for something like a 900 style event that bridges the gap between the shootout chaos and the stoic tense triple crowns, but what I'd really like to see are team events.

Speaker 1

但最近的双人赛,还有历史上的世界杯,都没能延续到今天。

However, both the recent doubles events and the historic World Cup events have not survived into the modern game.

Speaker 1

我很想知道,这背后的原因是什么。

I'd be interested as to why.

Speaker 1

是门票销售不好,还是电视收视率太低?

Were ticket sales or TV audiences poor?

Speaker 1

我承认这在组织上可能有点麻烦,但还不至于难到完全办不了吧。

I accept they may be a little logistically challenging, but surely not to the point of being unable to hold such events.

Speaker 1

在世锦赛期间,不少顶尖选手被问到是否支持举办类似世界杯的比赛。

During the world championship, a number of top players were asked about the possibility of a World Cup style event.

Speaker 1

他们都给出了非常积极的回应,所以我很好奇,你觉得这种赛事真的可行吗?

All responded very positively, so I'd be interested in your thoughts on the feasibility of such a tournament.

Speaker 1

一如既往,感谢你为斯诺克所做的一切。

Many thanks as always for all you do for snooker.

Speaker 1

谢谢你,法隆。

Thank Thank you, Fallon.

Speaker 1

世界杯自2019年之后就没再举办过了。

The World Cup has not been held since 2019.

Speaker 1

在深入讨论细节之前,我觉得有必要先简单回顾一下世界杯的历史,因为这里面有不少值得说的地方。

It's worth before we go into the ins and outs of this, because I think there's some interesting things to say, it's worth looking briefly at the history of the World Cup.

Speaker 1

迈克·沃特森当然就是那个在1977年把世锦赛搬到谢菲尔德克鲁西布剧院的功臣,到了1979年,他还在推广其他赛事,于是搞了个叫‘世界挑战杯’的比赛,每队三人,总共只有六支队伍。

So Mike Watterson, of course, is the man who famously most famously took the World Championship as promoted to the Crucible in Sheffield in 1977, but because he was promoting other tournaments 1979 he promoted it was called the World Challenge Cup and it was teams of three, there were only six teams.

Speaker 1

当时苏格兰只有两位职业选手,所以没能参赛。

Scotland only had two professionals at the time so they weren't represented.

Speaker 1

比赛是在西米德兰兹的克拉德利希思举行的。

He was played in Cradley Heath in the West Midlands.

Speaker 1

赛制后来做了一些调整,因为比赛实际上提前一天就结束了——毕竟决赛一边倒得太厉害了。

The format needed some tweaking because he actually finished a day early, but because the final was so one-sided.

Speaker 1

不过后来从1985年到1990年左右,赛制逐渐稳定下来,成了当时大家最熟悉的模式:还是每队三人,打九局五胜制,也就是一名选手对另一名选手打两局。

But anyway, it was kind of tweaked and then from around 1985 to 1990, it kind of it arrived at the format most people would have known at the time, which was again teams of three, they played best in nine matches, so it'd be one player would play two frames against another.

Speaker 1

比如说英格兰对威尔士,史蒂夫·戴维斯先和特里·格里菲斯打两局,接着吉米·怀特对雷·里尔登打两局,然后尼尔·福尔茨对道格·马切尔,或者当时其他队的选手也一样。

So let's say it was England v Wales, so Steve Davis would play two frames against Terry Griffiths, then Jimmy White would play two frames against Ray Reardon, and know, Neil Foltz would play two frames against Doug Matchel, or whoever was in these teams.

Speaker 1

如果总比分打平,就来一局加赛,由队长指定一名选手上场,可能是自己,决胜局是九局五胜,整场决赛则是十七局九胜。

And then if it was level, there'd be a one frame shootout, so the captain would pick a player maybe himself, and it'd be best in nine, the final best of 17.

Speaker 1

这种赛制维持了一段时间,但始终是单败淘汰制。

That sustained it, but it was straight knockout.

Speaker 1

但即便如此,有一段时间,卫冕国家第二年可以多派一支队伍,而其他世界队则由来自世界各地的零散选手组成。

But even then, I mean, for a while the defending country had an extra team the next year, then the rest of the world team which were just sort of disparate players from different parts of the world.

Speaker 1

比赛只持续了四天,但主办方还是热情欢迎,最重要的是,比赛在BBC播出。

So only four days, didn't that state it's welcome, and most importantly it was on the BBC.

Speaker 1

对斯诺克球迷来说,这是一项很受欢迎的赛事,因为形式有点不一样,而且也不占太多日程。

So it was a popular event I think with snooker fans just use something a bit different, it take up much time in the calendar.

Speaker 1

这项赛事在1991年被取消,后来在1996年重返赛场,地点是泰国曼谷。

That was dropped in 1991 and then came back, the World Cup came back in 1996, Bangkok, Thailand.

Speaker 1

这是迄今为止最精彩的一届世界杯,共有20支队伍参赛,充分体现了斯诺克运动日益国际化的趋势,所有队伍都齐聚曼谷。

By far the best version of the World Cup there's ever been this, there were 20 teams which kind of acknowledged the fact that snooker become more international, all headed to Bangkok.

Speaker 1

队伍依然是三人一组,但这次还配备了替补球员,以防有人无法上场。

They're actually, again, teams of three, but they actually had reserves just in case somebody couldn't play.

Speaker 1

这些替补球员基本上就是去度假的。

The reserves basically had a free holiday.

Speaker 1

冠军由苏格兰队夺得,他们被称为梦之队,成员包括史蒂芬·亨德利和约翰·希金斯,当时世界排名前六的顶尖选手都在其中。

It was won by the dream team as they were known for Scotland, Stephen Hendon, John Higgins, all of the top six in the world at the time.

Speaker 1

那届赛事非常精彩。

It was a great tournament.

Speaker 1

规模很大,但这也正是问题所在。

It was a large scale event and that in the end was the problem.

Speaker 1

办起来实在太贵了。

It was just very costly to put on.

Speaker 1

成本太高了,所以世界杯之后十五年都没再办。

It was so costly to put on, World the Cup wasn't held again for fifteen years.

Speaker 1

期间有过一次国家杯,只限英国各地区和爱尔兰参加,从1999年到2001年办了三届。

In the meantime, had the Nations Cup, that was for the UK Nations and Ireland, that was from 1999 to 2001, there were three editions of that.

Speaker 1

到了2011年,世界杯又回来了,但最新的赛制是两人一组——其实算不上真正的团队,我知道飞镖赛也这么搞,但飞镖是另一回事。

And then 2011, as I say, the World Cup came back, but the sort of most recent format, well there were two player teams, which is not really a team, I know they do it in the darts, but darts is a different sport.

Speaker 1

他们设了双人局,据我回忆,那根本行不通,赛制是循环赛,赢一局就拿一分。

They introduced doubles frames, which were basically no good as I recall, and it was a round robin and you got a point basically for every frame you won.

Speaker 1

比赛拖得太长了,如果是七天的赛事,你得熬到第五天,也就是星期五,才能知道谁晋级淘汰赛。

So it was kind of interminable, had to if it was a seven day event, you were waiting till the Friday, the fifth day, to find out who was gonna go through to the knockout.

Speaker 1

这个赛制挺难看懂的,说实话还有点无聊。

It was it was quite hard to follow and a little bit dull frankly as a format.

Speaker 1

他们拉了很多国家参与,这确实有助于向全球各地的电视台推销,这没问题,但比赛始终没热起来。更重要的是,如果想重启,顶尖选手们根本不想参加——尽管奖金其实挺高。

They got a lot of countries in it, which obviously helped them sell it around the world to different TV channels around the world, which is fine, but it didn't really catch fire and also, and this is the key thing if he was gonna come back, not all the top players wanted to play in it and the money was actually good.

Speaker 1

奖金是够高,但比如英格兰队,从来就没真正派出过最强阵容。

The money was good, but for example England never quite seemed to be the A team for England.

Speaker 1

2019年最后一届,尼尔·罗伯逊连澳大利亚队都没打,这直接让整个队伍的含金量大打折扣。

The last edition in 2019, Neil Robertson didn't even play for Australia, know, and that massively devalued that team obviously.

Speaker 1

所以如果想重启,得先解决好几个问题。

So for it to come back, a number of things need to happen.

Speaker 1

最明显的就是得有人掏钱,得有赞助商,有转播方,这些都得到位。

The most obvious is someone's got to put the money up, okay, you need the sponsor, the broadcaster, all that.

Speaker 1

假设有人站出来说,我想办世界杯,我愿意投X百万,这就是我的目标。

But let's say someone comes in and says I want to put the World Cup on, I've got X amount of money, that's what I want to do.

Speaker 1

接下来关键是要把赛制改好,明白吗?

It's about then getting the format right, okay?

Speaker 1

希望球员们能支持,但我觉得得取消小组循环赛。

Hopefully, the players would support it, but I think get rid of the round robins.

Speaker 1

斯诺克历史上,小组循环赛在任何赛事里都没什么好表现。

Round robins in snooker historically have not been great in any tournament.

Speaker 1

直接搞单败淘汰就行,不管多少队,比如说16支。

Just have a straight knockout, however many teams you have, let's say it's 16, okay?

Speaker 1

16支队伍,每队三人,必须是三人一组。

16 teams of three, there have to be three player teams.

Speaker 1

淘汰赛要打,但前期比赛得拉长,比如先打七局四胜。

Have a straight knockout, but have longer matches early on, so have best of seven teams early on.

Speaker 1

具体赛制可以再设计,比如每人打三局,随便怎么安排都行。

You could work out the specific format, maybe three frames, you know, each player plays three frames, whatever.

Speaker 1

前期比赛要长一点,但整体是单败淘汰,最后打决赛,产生世界冠军,这样比搞一周的循环赛更有分量——循环赛没人真看,也搞不清哪场重要哪场不重要,而淘汰赛就清楚了:赢了继续,输了回家。要是真想重启,混合双打也该一起恢复。

But have longer matches, but a straight knockout, and then, you have your final and you have your world champions, and I think there'd be more prestige to it than having a week of round robins which people kind of don't follow, they don't really know the worth or importance of one match to another, whereas a straight knockout and I think if they ever brought back that mixed doubles, they should do that as well.

Speaker 1

赢了就晋级,输了就回家。

You win, you go through, you lose, you go home.

Speaker 1

问题在于,这不光是双打的问题,球员们虽然接受采访时可能说过一些话,但总的来说,他们对双打和团体赛其实并不上心。也许有些人年轻时打过联赛斯诺克,但那都是很久以前的事了。

The problem with it is really, and this applies to doubles, is that players in general, they may have said various things being interviewed, but in general, players are not really that bothered about doubles, they're not that bothered about team events, know, maybe some of them played in league snooker when they were young, but that's a long time ago.

Speaker 1

斯诺克本质上是个体运动,你为自己而战,根本谈不上代表国家那种荣誉感。

Snooker's individual sport is one of the most individual sports, you play for yourself, there's not really that sense you're representing your country as such.

Speaker 1

不过在中国情况可能不太一样,我知道那边特别重视团体项目,而且他们选人也多,人才储备丰富。

Now I think that's a little different in China where I know that team sports are valued massively, and of course they would have a lot of players to pick from for their team.

Speaker 1

但说到英国球员,比如特鲁姆普,他显然是英格兰头号选手。

But in terms of sort of The UK players, mean would well, judge Trump obviously is the English number one.

Speaker 1

他以前参加过世界杯,但上一届没打。

He has played in the World Cup before, he didn't play in the last one.

Speaker 1

奥沙利文现在排名掉得有点低,恐怕够不着参赛资格了。

Ronnie O'Sullivan is a little too down the ranking list now to get in.

Speaker 1

不过说实话,我个人特别希望这项赛事能回来,但关键是要把赛制设计好,这才是重点,而他们过去从来没做到过。

But listen, I would love to see it come back personally, but I think you'd have to get the format right, that's really the point I'm making, and they haven't always.

Speaker 1

事实上,以往的组织方式,我觉得几乎没有一次是合适的。

In fact, most of the staging of it, don't think it has been right.

Speaker 1

我觉得要是办一场单败淘汰制的世界杯,持续一周左右,每队三人,打十七局八胜制,那才真有意思。

I think a knockout World Cup played over maybe a week, best of seventeens, teams of three, I'd like to see that.

Speaker 1

但我再说一遍,总得有人掏钱吧?再好的赛制,没钱也白搭,这始终是关键。

But I I repeat, you know, someone's gotta pay for it, and that's always you can come up with any format, but that's always the bottom line.

Speaker 1

总得有人出钱才行。

You someone's gotta put the money up.

Speaker 1

我们的好朋友阿尔法·邦齐有话说。

Now our dear friend, Alpha Bonzi, says this.

Speaker 1

阿尔法说,新赛季正式开打应该是周一,从排名锦标赛联赛开始。

Alpha says, I guess the new season proper starts on Monday with the ranking championship league.

Speaker 1

我觉得这个安排挺好,能让人在经历了克鲁斯堡的喧嚣和混乱之后,慢慢找回台球的感觉。

I like it as it eases everyone back into snooker after the noise and chaos that is the crucible.

Speaker 1

这周就提两个非常简短的问题。

Only two very quick questions this week.

Speaker 1

第一个,WST官网的日程表上原本写的是‘湘大奖赛’。

Number one on the WST site where the calendar said Xiang Grand Prix originally.

Speaker 1

现在只写着中国排名赛,而且已经确认了。

Now it just says China ranking event and qualifies.

Speaker 1

有什么最新消息吗?

Is there any news?

Speaker 1

嗯,阿尔法,这事我确实没注意到,但你说得对,现在确实改成了中国排名赛。我记得最初的日程上写的是西安大奖赛,还标注着‘城市待定’。可西安本身就是一个城市,所以按理说,大家都会猜是在西安办,不过也未必。

Well, Alfa, this had passed me by a little bit, but you're quite right, it does now say Chinese ranking event, and I remember when the original calendar next to Xi'an Grand Prix did say city to be confirmed, now Xi'an is a city itself, so so, you know, the smart money would have been be on it being in Xi'an, but perhaps not.

Speaker 1

但据我所知,这个赛事应该不会取消。

But as far as I'm aware, you know, I'm not aware that the tournament won't be on.

Speaker 1

可能他们只是在和主办方商量具体办赛地点,或者主办方自己还在中国境内物色场地。

It may just be that they are, you know, talking to the promoter about exactly where to have it or the promoter themselves is looking for a venue in China.

Speaker 1

关于这个,我暂时没有别的消息,不过很快应该就会有结果了。

So we'll I don't have any other news on that, but we'll no doubt find out soon enough.

Speaker 1

另外,还是说中国的事,马克·艾伦又退出了上海站的比赛。

And secondly, staying in China, Mark Allen has again opted out of Shanghai.

Speaker 1

他是不是还被那次著名的克鲁西布黑球失误搞得晕头转向?

Is his head still spinning after that infamous Crucible Miss Black?

Speaker 1

接下来是冠军联赛,那儿肯定不需要补水休息吧。

On with the Championship League, no hydration breaks needed there, I'll bet.

Speaker 1

Alpha 这个说法还挺应景的。

That's a topical reference there from Alpha.

Speaker 1

马克·艾伦去年根本没打算参加,我觉得这跟克鲁西布那次失误没什么关系。

Mark Allen didn't plan it last year, so I don't I don't know that it's got anything to do with what happened at the Crucible.

Speaker 1

说白了,只要去参赛,就有十美元的保底奖金。

I mean, the guarantee for turning up there is $10.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

你知道,这钱可不少,而且上海又是个多棒的地方。

Now, you know, that's a it's a lot of money, and and and Shanghai is an amazing place to go.

Speaker 1

所以我真不明白他为啥不去,是不是跟别的安排冲突了,我也说不准。

So I don't know why he's chosen not to, whether this clashes with something, I don't know.

Speaker 1

不过他这周刚去过中国,参加了一场表演赛。

He was in China this week though, just gone playing an exhibition event.

Speaker 1

那场球里,魏 Sergio 打出了满分。

Sergio Wei made a maximum against him in that.

Speaker 1

所以他确实去过。

So he has been there.

Speaker 1

现在有个小问题,中国的表演赛市场太大了。

That's a slight issue now, the Chinese exhibition market is huge.

Speaker 1

球员去那儿能挣不少钱,这我完全不反对,祝他们好运。

The players get paid a lot of money to go there, and good luck to them, I've absolutely nothing against that, good luck to them.

Speaker 1

如果在比赛间隙靠这个赚钱,那没问题。

If you earn money from that between events, that's fine.

Speaker 1

但问题在于,如果他们靠这些表演赛赚得太狠——说实话,这些比赛没什么压力,不涉及排名积分,也没啥职业目标,纯粹就是为了钱,放松打球、博个彩头,往往还能看到超高水平,因为球员没负担,反而能打出最自然的好球。

But I guess the problem is if they're earning a lot from those exhibitions, where let's be honest, there's no real pressure, they're not playing for ranking points or any kind of career goals, they're just playing for money really, to get paid and they can relax and play their best to entertain and you often see amazing standard in exhibitions because players are not under pressure, they just play the naturally good game that they can.

Speaker 1

可要是这类比赛越给越多,看样子也没要减少的意思,尤其是中国世锦赛冠军又回来了,球员们就更可能错过正式赛事,毕竟表演赛来钱快,谁还愿意大老远跑去像布伦特伍德公开赛这种比赛呢?

But if players are gonna be offered a lot of these and doesn't seem to be any sign of it sort of diminishing, particularly with the Chinese World Champion again, they're more likely then to miss tournaments because they're getting money from those exhibitions and they may feel they don't want to sort of schlep to the, let's say, English Open in Brentwood.

Speaker 1

我不是说那个比赛不好,只是举个例子罢了,咱们看看有谁报名吧。

I mean, I don't want to do down that tournament, but just as an example, we'll see who enters.

Speaker 1

大多数球员都会参加大部分比赛,但我注意到马克·威廉姆斯已经退出了冠军联赛,这有点可惜,值得留意一下。

I mean, most players enter most tournaments, but I noticed Mark Williams has already pulled out the the Championship League, you know, so it's a bit of a shame, think, and it'd be something to monitor.

Speaker 1

这属于一种无奈的现象,斯诺克本身太成功了,尤其在中国,现在这么火,展览赛需求这么大,球员去打我也完全理解,只是他们错过正赛就有点遗憾了。

It's one of those things, you know, you can't it it it snooker as a victim of its own success, and particularly in China, snookers are so big there now that there's this demand for these exhibitions and therefore, you know, players, again, I don't blame them for playing in them, but it's a shame when they miss Thomas.

Speaker 1

不过对杰克·刘易斯来说是好事,他成功入围了上海大师赛。

It's good news for Jack Lewzowski though, he's got he's got in the Shanghai Masters.

Speaker 1

Shannon Bullet 提到,她最近在现场观看了克鲁斯堡史上最长的一局,比赛过程中,她的朋友汤姆轻轻碰了她一下,低声说他们之前也亲眼看过上一局最长的比赛。

Now, Shannon Bullet says, I was in the audience for the recent longest frame at the Crucible, and during the frame in question my mate Tom tapped me on the shoulder and whispered that we also were lucky to witness the previous longest frame live.

Speaker 1

我差点忘了,但他没说错,这还真是巧。

I had forgotten this, but he was right, and what a coincidence.

Speaker 1

更巧的是,第二天官方公布了克鲁斯堡历史上最长的五局比赛,排第三的正是2019年卢卡·布拉西对加里·威尔逊那场——那正是我们第一次在现场看克鲁斯堡比赛。

It gets better though, as the next day the top five longest frames at the Crucible were revealed, and coming in at number three was none other than 2019 Luca Braselby Gary Wilson, which was our debut of watching live snook at the Crucible.

Speaker 1

所以统计下来,我们从2019年起就一直看克鲁斯堡的比赛,中间因为疫情停了两年,总共看了11场,居然全都赶上了克鲁斯堡历史上最长的三场比赛。

So the stats are that we have both been visiting the Crucible since 2019, two years off for Covid, we've watched 11 matches in all and somehow we've contrived to sit through the three longest frames in Crucible history.

Speaker 1

我们试着用AI算过概率,但说实话,这运气简直不可思议。

We attempted some AI based amateur probability calculations, but let's say it's a pretty impressive long shot.

Speaker 1

我就说这些了。

That's it from me.

Speaker 1

我觉得还是跟大家分享一下。

I thought I'd share it.

Speaker 1

附注:这真是莎侬写过的最棒的附注之一。

PS, and this is one of the great PS's by the way from Shannon.

Speaker 1

附注:我们还亲眼看见一只鸽子飞进观众席,落在了球台上。

PS, we also witnessed live the pigeon flying inside the auditorium and onto the table.

Speaker 1

谢谢你,莎侬。

Well, thank you, Shannon.

Speaker 1

照你这么说,你简直就是个扫把星。

What you're saying is you're a massive jinx.

Speaker 1

下次要是再在观众席看到他,记得请他喝一杯,不然你得坐那儿等老半天。

If anyone sees him next time in the in the audience, you know, go and have a drink because you're gonna be there sat there a long time otherwise.

Speaker 1

不过话说回来,不管愿不愿意,你确实看了不少斯诺克比赛。

But anyway, it's you've you've seen a lot of snooker there whether you wanted to or not.

Speaker 1

爱丁堡的科林说,现在差不多是休赛期,我来把这封邮件归个类。

Colin in Edinburgh says, as we're pretty much in off season, I'll classify this email.

Speaker 1

这封邮件是他很久以前发的,所以我们现在才看,不过不管怎样,我觉得这算是一封休赛期的低调投稿,咱们先把它放一边,等进入新赛季的正题再说。

This he sent this a while ago, so, obviously, we're starting now, but anyway, I'll class this classify this email as low key off season submission before we get in the meat of the new season.

Speaker 1

克里斯·斯莫尔曾经有背部问题。

Chris Small had a condition that affected his back.

Speaker 1

不过我一直有点奇怪,背伤居然在斯诺克选手中并不常见。

I've always been slightly surprised, however, that back problems don't appear to be a common enemy of the snooker player.

Speaker 1

想想选手们每天、每周、每月要弯腰、起身多少次,我几乎没听说过谁有严重的腰伤,除非是我漏掉了什么。

Considering the amount of times that a snooker player will bend and straighten up every day, week, month, I haven't really heard of too many players suffering from a bad back unless I've missed this.

Speaker 1

嗯,确实,通常受伤的部位是背部、脖子和肩膀。

Well, yeah, mean, it is back, neck, shoulders, they are the areas affected typically when a player is injured.

Speaker 1

我们都知道,最近的五届冠军就受过肩伤。

We know the same for five recent, had a shoulder injury.

Speaker 1

我在资格赛看过一场,对手是张俊,个年轻小伙子,大概21岁左右。

I did a match at the qualifier, Zhang Jun, who's only a young guy, he's about 21 or something.

Speaker 1

他和吉米·怀特比赛时,肩膀一直不舒服,虽然他击球力量很大,也许正因如此,但确实有不少球员因此受影响。

He played Jimmy White and his shoulder was playing him up all through the match, although the power he hits the ball with, maybe that's why, but sadly has affected players.

Speaker 1

里基·沃尔登就是一例,安东尼·汉密尔顿也是,还有其他不少人都遇到过背、颈、肩的问题。

Ricky Walden was one, Anthony Hamilton, and there are various others who've had back, neck, shoulder issues.

Speaker 1

这些部位最容易出问题。

They're the areas affected.

Speaker 1

你想啊,每天几乎都要长时间弯腰趴在球台上,不管是训练还是打比赛,长期下来肯定不轻松。

If you think about it, you know, you're spending pretty much every day of your life sort of bending over a table for protracted periods, either practicing or playing in tournaments.

Speaker 1

我想,这大概不太适合长期坚持。

It probably wouldn't be recommended I guess.

Speaker 1

克里斯·斯莫尔得的是退行性疾病,踝关节强直性脊柱炎。

Chris Small though, he had a degenerative condition, ankle losing spondylitis.

Speaker 1

我不清楚这病是不是打斯诺克引发的,还是他本来就有的,但确实严重影响了他,最终不得不退役。

I don't know whether, you know, that was triggered by playing snooker or whether it was just something that happened to him, but it was debilitating and of course it ended his playing career.

Speaker 1

事实上,他能坚持打球已经非常勇敢了。

In fact, he was very courageous to to play on.

Speaker 1

他以前为了上场,不得不靠打止痛针来撑着。

He used to he used to have, you know, painkiller injections literally to play.

Speaker 1

不过,最后一封邮件是阿德里安·希尔发来的,他说:祝下一个赛季再创佳绩。

Anyway, I think the final email is from Adrian Hill, who says, here's to another fantastic season.

Speaker 1

我想知道,明年你去克鲁西布剧院观赛时,能不能真的不提那个词——就是‘诅咒’。

I wonder if you will really go through the Crucible next year without mentioning the c word, that's curse by the way.

Speaker 1

去克鲁西布剧院比赛。

Go through to the Crucible.

Speaker 1

显然不可能啊,我猜吴业宏的第一场比赛肯定是在上海,说实话,那儿肯定会被提到。不过我写这些,本来是给TNT体育橄榄球解说员做赛前笔记用的,顺手想到你,想证明其他运动里也有诅咒这回事。

Well, obviously not, mean I imagine Wu Ye's first match will be in Shanghai and let's be honest it will be mentioned then, but anyway, see I was just writing these in my preview notes for the TNT Sports Rugby commentators and thought of you to prove that there are curses in other sports.

Speaker 1

好了,这些就是著名的那些诅咒。

Okay, so these are the famous curses.

Speaker 1

所以这个标题:BAF能打破冠军诅咒吗?

So this headline, can BAF break the title curse?

Speaker 1

就这三项跟橄榄球有关。

Only three to this is rugby.

Speaker 1

自2005年实行双半决赛赛制以来,只有三次有卫冕冠军成功保住了奖杯。

Only three times since the dual semi final playoff system was introduced in 2005 six of the reigning champions kept hold of the huge trophy.

Speaker 1

自2006年以来,只有萨拉森斯队在2015-16年和2018-19年,以及莱斯特队在2009-10年做到过这一点。

Saracens in twenty fifteen sixteen and twenty eighteen nineteen and Leicester 02/2010 are the only clubs to do so since 2006.

Speaker 1

瓦斯队在单场半决赛时代曾实现过三连冠,那是2003到2005年的事了。

Wasps won their three in a row o three to o five when only one semi final was in operation.

Speaker 1

上个赛季,北安普顿延续了这个‘魔咒’。

Northampton continued that jinx last season.

Speaker 1

关于这个,我只想说,阿德里安,这才二十年而已,而且早有人打破过这个魔咒,我觉得这算不上最厉害的诅咒。

Well, all I'll say about that is, Adrian, that's only twenty years, and also people have broken that curse, so it's not the it's not the strongest curse I don't think.

Speaker 1

他还说,常规赛排名第三的球队从未夺冠,甚至只有两支进过决赛。

And he says no team that's finished third in the regular season has gone on to win the title, and only two have even made the final.

Speaker 1

有两支排名第四的球队最终捧起了奖杯。

Two fourth place finishers have lifted the trophy.

Speaker 1

从历史来看,排名第三其实是最不妙的位置。

History says third is the worst place to finish.

Speaker 1

再说一遍,这个比第一个更厉害,我觉得‘克鲁西布诅咒’现在真成了体育界最著名的诅咒之一。

Well, again, you know, it's it's it's it's stronger than the first one, think, but but again, I think the Crucible Curse is emerging as one of the great curses in sports actually.

Speaker 1

现实点吧,大家都说小丁今年肯定赢,结果呢?诅咒还是找上了他。

Face facts, know, everyone said Xiao Zing Tong will win it this year, he didn't, the curse got him.

Speaker 1

向肖恩·墨菲致歉。

Apologies to Sean Murphy.

Speaker 1

肖恩·墨菲和他伴侣乔斯开了个新播客,叫《清空餐桌》,推荐大家去听听。

Sean Murphy's got a new podcast Clearing the Table with his partner Joe, so do check that out.

Speaker 1

我得纠正一下,是肖恩·墨菲爵士。

I should say, sorry, Sean Murphy OBE.

Speaker 1

人们真是健忘得快。

How quickly they forget.

Speaker 1

投稿邮箱是 snookercenepodcast@mail.com,没错,就是 snookercene podcast mail dot com。

Now snookercenepodcast@mail.com is the email address, of course, snookercene podcast mail dot com.

Speaker 1

不过外面肯定有人在问:这都挺好,但那个谜题的答案到底是什么?

But people out there be saying that this is all very well, but what's the answer to the quiz?

Speaker 1

我是在节目一开始出的这个测验题。

Well, I I posed the quiz at the start of the program.

Speaker 1

我给了你们四个名字:雷·里德恩、肯·多尔蒂、阿里·卡特和凯伦·威尔逊,还说会再加一个。

I gave you the names Ray Reardon, Ken Dougherty, Ali Carter, and Karen Wilson, and I said there'd be another one added to that list.

Speaker 1

答案是——而且这事儿挺及时的,所以我才提这个——他们都是在新工党首相上任后赢得首个排名赛的选手。

And the answer is, and this is topical, okay, which is hence why I'm doing it, they are the players who won the first ranking events under new Labour prime ministers.

Speaker 1

没错,就是这样。

Yes, they did.

Speaker 1

我们不把拉姆齐·麦克唐纳和哈里·威尔逊算在内,因为那时候还没有排名赛。

Now we don't count Ramsay MacDonald and Harry Wilson because when they became prime minister, there were no ranking events.

Speaker 1

1976年詹姆斯·卡拉汉上台,几周后第一届排名赛就是世界锦标赛,冠军是雷·里德恩。

But James Callaghan, 1976, so the first ranking event was just a couple of weeks later, was the world championship won by Ray Reardon.

Speaker 1

然后到了1997年,托尼·布莱尔当选,他上任才几天,肯·多尔蒂就赢了世锦赛。

You then have to go to 1997, Tony Blair, and he actually was elected just a couple of days before Ken Donkey won the world championship.

Speaker 1

接着是2007年戈登·布朗,第一位在新政府下赢得排名赛的选手是阿里·卡特。

Then Gordon Brown, 2007, the first player to win a Rankin event there was Ali Carter.

Speaker 1

是这样吗?

Is that right?

Speaker 1

抱歉,不是2000年。

Sorry, no it wasn't 2000.

Speaker 1

是的,这简直乱成一团了。

Yeah, was this is almost this is almost a shambles.

Speaker 1

2007年,阿里·卡特,明白吧?

2007, Ali Carter, okay?

Speaker 1

科拉姆·威尔逊是在基尔·斯塔默出任首相后首位赢得排名赛的选手,而我录制这段时,大家都说他撑不了多久了。

And Coram Wilson was the first player to win a ranking event when Keir Starmer became prime minister, and as I record this, everybody's saying he won't be much longer.

Speaker 1

看起来安迪·伯曼会成为首相,所以今年自然又会多出一个名字。

It looks like Andy Burnham will be prime minister, and therefore, of course, there'll be another one this year.

Speaker 1

那我们就等着看是谁吧。

So we'll see who that is.

Speaker 1

说实话,我很庆幸没把这内容拖到下周,越想越觉得这话题其实没那么好,我可能搞错了,跟戈登·布朗的事有点混淆了。

It's to be honest, I'm glad I didn't roll this over to next week because the more I think of it, it's not actually that good and I think I might have made a mistake cause I've got a bit mixed up with Gordon Brown.

Speaker 1

我现在再核对一下。

Now I'm just checking this.

Speaker 1

这下可真乱了。

So this is a disaster.

Speaker 1

戈登·布朗,2007年。

Gordon Brown, 2007.

Speaker 1

我本来以为是2010年,就是我出题的时候。

I thought it was 2010, I think, when I set the when I set the quiz.

Speaker 1

请稍等一下。

Just bear with me.

Speaker 1

来了。

Here we go.

Speaker 1

2007年,戈登·布朗,当上了首相。

2007, Gordon Brown, prime minister.

Speaker 1

这么说,他其实不是选上去的,对吧?

Now then, it says here he was well, he wasn't elected, was he?

Speaker 1

他只是在那时候接任了领袖职位。

He just became leader in okay.

Speaker 1

2007年6月27日。

06/27/2007.

Speaker 1

所以是2008年2月的斯诺克赛季。

So the 02/2008 snooker season.

Speaker 1

我以为是艾利·卡特,但现在感觉我可能记错了。

So we need the I thought it was Ali Carter, but I I get the feeling I'm wrong now.

Speaker 1

再给我一点时间。

Just bear with me.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

多米尼克·戴尔。

Dominic Dale.

Speaker 1

整个测验简直一团糟。

So the whole quiz, it basically is shambles.

Speaker 1

所以啊,我要是会剪辑,早就改了。

So, you know, if I knew how to edit it, I would.

Speaker 1

但我还是留着吧,毕竟人非圣贤,孰能无过。

But I'll I'll leave it in because, you know, to is human.

Speaker 1

为了澄清一下,这个名单其实应该是。

So to just to clarify, the list is in fact.

Speaker 1

明白吗?

Okay?

Speaker 1

名单上其实是雷·里尔登、肯·诺加蒂、多米尼克·戴尔、凯伦·威尔逊,还有一位待公布。

The list is in fact Ray Reardon, Ken Nogaty, Dominic Dale, Karen Wilson, and one more to be revealed.

Speaker 1

算了,这些咱们就略过吧。

Well, we'll we'll gloss over all of that.

Speaker 1

这就是为什么这个播客从来拿不了奖,以后也别指望了。

This is why this podcast never won an award, never will.

Speaker 1

不过好消息是,为了救我们一把,冠军联赛终于来了,我觉得这下总算是能缓和一下局面了。

But the good news is that as if to to save us all, the championship league is here, and that that, you know, that will pour oil on troubled waters, I feel.

Speaker 1

马蒂奥利那边天气挺热的,这周估计还会更热。

It seems quite warm at the Mattioli, and it's gonna be a hot week.

Speaker 1

他们已经尽力了。

They do their best.

Speaker 1

他们那儿有个大风扇,但我也不确定资格赛是在哪个厅打的,因为有两个厅。

They got this big fan in the I think that the I'm not sure which hall the qualifiers were played in, whether they were played in because there's two halls.

Speaker 1

肯定还是冠军联赛那个厅更凉快些。

Definitely the one they have for the championship league that can make cooler.

Speaker 1

这对选手们来说是好事,毕竟这天气打斯诺克真不合适,可现在比赛这么多,不打也不行。

So that will be obviously good news for the players because, you know, it's not really not really snooker weather, but there's so many events to get in these days, you know, you gotta get them in.

Speaker 1

再次抱歉啊。

So apologies again for that.

Speaker 1

我可能真该辞职了。

Maybe I'll resign.

Speaker 1

要不明天早上,我就在家门口摆个讲台,直接对Sky新闻开讲。

Maybe I'll I'll put a lectern outside my house tomorrow morning till Sky News.

Speaker 1

你会得知我已经辞职了。

You'll find out I've resigned.

Speaker 1

也许这还真是个办法。

Maybe that's the answer to it.

Speaker 1

不过在这之前,谢谢你的收听。

But in the meantime, thanks for listening.

Speaker 1

正如我之前说的,邮箱是 snookerscenepodcast@mail.com。

And as I said, snookerscenepodcast@mail.com.

Speaker 1

咱们实话实说,这期节目有点乱。

And it was a ragged episode, let's be honest.

Speaker 1

赛季结束时,没人会说。

No one's no one's gonna claim at the end of the season.

Speaker 1

这是一期经典之作。

This is one of the greats.
