Speaker 0

大家好。

Hello.

Speaker 0

欢迎收听《斯诺克现场》播客。

Welcome to the Snooker Scene Podcast.

Speaker 0

我是戴夫·亨顿。

I'm Dave Hendon.

Speaker 0

这周比平时晚了一点,但我们现在还是来了。

A little later this week than normal, but we're here now.

Speaker 0

当然,过去几周职业斯诺克巡回赛上没有什么比赛。

And, of course, there's been no action on the world snooker tour in the professional game over the last couple of weeks.

Speaker 0

有一段休赛期。

There's been a break.

Speaker 0

足球那边也有国际比赛日的间歇。

They've had the international break in football.

Speaker 0

我想这就是我们的版本。

I suppose this is our version.

Speaker 0

但今年剩下的时间里,休息时间不多了。

But there's not much of a break now for the rest of the year.

Speaker 0

当然,周日北爱尔兰公开赛就要开始了,之后赛程对斯诺克球迷来说可是排得满满的。

We've the Northern Ireland Open, of course, starting on Sunday, and then the calendar is pretty packed certainly for fans of snooker.

Speaker 0

当然,不是每个球员都参加每场比赛,但今年剩下的时间里会有很多精彩对决。

Obviously, not every player is in every tournament, but there's gonna be a lot of action for the rest of the year.

Speaker 0

我确实注意到……

I did notice the...

Speaker 0

斯坦·穆迪赢得了粉红丝带赛,那是保罗·芒特在格洛斯特西南斯诺克学院创办的大型职业业余混合赛。

Stan Moody won the the pink ribbon, the the big pro am that was started by Paul Mount at the old Gloucester South West snooker academy.

Speaker 0

现在比赛地点改到了西米德兰兹郡沃尔索尔的兰迪伍德斯诺克中心。

It's now at Landywood snooker center in Warsaw in the West Midlands.

Speaker 0

有很多职业选手参加了那场比赛,所以那是个大型赛事,我其实不知道那场比赛有直播。

And there were a lot of professionals playing that, so it was a big big event, and I didn't actually know it was being it was being streamed.

Speaker 0

我敢肯定这事有宣传过,只是我没看到。

I'd I'd I'm sure it was publicized, I just didn't see it.

Speaker 0

所以整场比赛我其实只看了一局,就是决赛的最后一局,斯坦·穆迪击败了马克·乔伊斯,赢得了冠军。

So the only frame I actually saw of the whole thing was the last frame of the final, where Stan Moody beat Mark Joyce to win the title.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得这能给他带来不少信心,去迎接接下来的比赛。

So, you know, that's good confidence, I guess, to take into the events coming up.

Speaker 0

你不能……

You can't...

Speaker 0

没有什么能替代胜利,尤其是赢得一个冠军。

You know, there's no substitute for winning and and winning a title.

Speaker 0

我们看看这会不会对他接下来的表现产生影响。

And, you know, let's see if if that makes any difference going forward to him.

Speaker 0

至于马克·艾伦,我们整个赛季都没见到他,但他很可能会在贝尔法斯特参赛。

Now Mark Allen, of course, we've not seen all season, but it seems likely he's gonna play in Belfast.

Speaker 0

这么说吧,我们现在录制的时候是星期三。

Put it this way, it's Wednesday as we record this now.

Speaker 0

我们周日开始。

We start on Sunday.

Speaker 0

我觉得他周一或周二打,但不管怎样,我们还没听说他退赛。

I think he plays Monday or or Tuesday, but anyway, we haven't heard these pull out.

Speaker 0

他确实发了一条有点隐晦的帖子,暗示……

He did put a sort of cryptic post out there sort of suggesting that...

Speaker 0

有点暗示他可能会回来。

Kind of suggested he might come back.

Speaker 0

这是理想的回归舞台。

It's the ideal torment.

Speaker 0

他住在附近,所以不用奔波。

He lives nearby, so he doesn't have to travel.

Speaker 0

他首轮(64强)将对阵乔丹·布朗,那是他在斯诺克圈里最好的朋友。

You know, he's playing Jordan Brown, his best friend in the sport, in in the opening round, the last 64.

Speaker 0

而且可以肯定,他在那里会得到热烈的掌声。

And also, you know, you can guarantee he's gonna get a great ovation there.

Speaker 0

当然,他是的。

Of course, he is.

Speaker 0

他赢过两次。

He's won it twice.

Speaker 0

他就是本地人。

He's from the area.

Speaker 0

所以这里是他复出打球的最佳地点。

So it's the best place to come back and play.

Speaker 0

希望他能做到。

And let's hope he does.

Speaker 0

而且,当然,看看他会说什么会很有趣,因为自从世锦赛结束后他几乎没说过什么,而且新赛季我们完全没见过他。

And, of course, it will be interesting to see what he says because he hasn't said anything really since the world championship finished and and of course the new season, we've not seen him at all.

Speaker 0

顺便说一下,关于媒体采访的要求,球员在赛后如果被要求接受采访,无论输赢都是必须的。

Just to say, players in terms of media, you know, expectations, it's mandatory to do media interviews if requested after a match, win or lose.

Speaker 0

所以赛后,无论输赢,都必须接受媒体采访。

So after a match, win or lose, it is mandatory to do media.

Speaker 0

赛前不是必须接受采访的,不过大多数球员都会这么做。

You don't have to do it before matches, although most players do.

Speaker 0

在一些特殊情况下,球员可以申请完全不接受采访,这取决于世界斯诺克巡回赛及其媒体部门的决定,看球员是否可以跳过这些采访。

In specialist situations, circumstances, players can request not to do any at all, and that's in the discretion of, you know, World Snooker Tour and their media department whether or not a player can can sort of skip having to do them.

Speaker 0

但说实话,马克一直是个很坦率的人,他会主动站出来,说出自己的想法,敞开心扉。

But knowing Mark, I mean, Mark has always been, in fairness to him, someone who's very upfront and, you know, will come forward and and and say his peace and bear his soul.

Speaker 0

所以我猜我们会听到他的声音。

So I suspect we will hear from him.

Speaker 0

瑞秋·凯西代表TNT体育在那里,当然还有其他记者也想知道他会说些什么。

And Rachel Casey is there for TNT Sports, and there'll be other journalists, of course, interested to hear what he's got to say.

Speaker 0

他到底会说些什么,以及他愿意谈多少最近发生的事情,完全由他自己决定。

Entirely what he does say and how much he wants to talk about what's been happening is up to him.

Speaker 0

当然,这是他的私事。

Of course, it's his private business.

Speaker 0

如果他不想说,他其实完全可以什么都不说。

He doesn't have to say really anything about it if he doesn't want to.

Speaker 0

但我猜以我对马克的了解,我们会听到一些关于他缺席的原因,希望接下来能有好消息,我们可能会更多看到他。

But I suspect knowing Mark, we will hear something about, you know, why he's been absent and hopefully going forward, you know, good news on the fact we might see more of him.

Speaker 0

我们拭目以待。

We'll see.

Speaker 0

就像我说的,这取决于他。

As I said, that's up to him.

Speaker 0

但首先,当然,你得先回到比赛状态,自从输给吴宜泽之后他就没打过比赛了。

But first things first, of course, you gotta actually get back into the playing mode, which he's not been in since that defeat to Wu Yisra.

Speaker 0

对阵乔丹·布朗,这当然是一把双刃剑,因为他们是好朋友,也是训练搭档。

Playing Jordan Brown, that's a double edged sword, of course, being such good friends and practice partners.

Speaker 0

他们去年在四分之一决赛中交手过,当然,艾伦赢了,但我们会看看这次结果如何。

They played there last year in the quarter finals, and of course, Alan won, but we'll see how that all pans out.

Speaker 0

我马上要说,好吧,虽然我们还没正式开始比赛,当然还有资格赛,但我们几乎可以肯定能听到一些消息,这又是我烦心的事情之一。

I'm gonna say right away, okay, and we haven't started the tournament yet properly with the qualifying, of course, but we're almost guaranteed to hear something, which is kind of added to the many list of things that annoys me.

Speaker 0

这个想法,你在比赛期间会听到的。

This idea, you'll hear it during the tournament.

Speaker 0

我觉得我们都同意,水滨大厅是个很棒的地方。

The Waterfront Hall, I think we all agree is a great venue.

Speaker 0

这点没争议。

No arguments there.

Speaker 0

比赛期间我们会听到有人说,这个场馆配得上更大的赛事。

What we'll hear during the event is someone will say, it deserves a bigger tournament, this venue.

Speaker 0

但这其实是假设去那里的观众不喜欢这项赛事。

But that is presupposing that the audience who go there don't like this tournament.

Speaker 0

也许这项赛事的一个吸引力,也是它上座率高的原因之一,就是你能看一整天斯诺克。

Maybe one of the pulling powers of this tournament and maybe the one of the reasons it's so well attended is because you get snooker all day long.

Speaker 0

有三张球台,早上十点开始,每个时段实际上有五场比赛。

You get three tables, you start at ten in the morning, there's effectively five matches played in each session.

Speaker 0

上午一场,下午两场,晚上两场。

There's one in the morning, two in the afternoon, two at night.

Speaker 0

斯诺克比赛量非常大,参赛选手也特别多。

It's a hell of a lot of snooker and a hell of a lot of players.

Speaker 0

现在所谓的更大规模的比赛,大家真正指的是像单桌赛事那种。

Now a so called bigger tournament, what what people really mean is like a one table event.

Speaker 0

比如说,球员锦标赛。

Let's say, for example, the players championship.

Speaker 0

在那个赛事里,你一天只能看两场比赛,四个选手。

Well, in that event, you'll see two matches a day, four players.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Okay?

Speaker 0

这比现在看到的要少。

Which is less than you see now.

Speaker 0

所以也许,这个赛事之所以这么受欢迎,其中一个原因就是因为比赛种类多样。

So maybe actually, one of the reasons the event is so well supported is because of the variety of matches.

Speaker 0

没有哪场比赛会让人觉得拖沓。

None none of the matches outstay their welcome.

Speaker 0

如果你不喜欢这场比赛或者这个选手,很快就会有另一场。

If you don't like this match or this player, another one will come along very soon.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得大家说‘哦,更大的赛事’的时候得小心点。

So I think people have to be careful sort of, you know, saying, oh, a bigger tournament.

Speaker 0

也许这个比赛的成功是因为它的赛制。

Maybe the success of this event is because of the format of this event.

Speaker 0

再说,得想想真正的球迷想要什么,而不是那些有意见的人,因为上座率确实高。

And again, you know, think about what the actual fans want rather than, you know, maybe some of the other people who have opinions, you know, because it is well attended.

Speaker 0

我不是说如果没有别的赛事它就不会这样,但这些本土系列赛确实很受欢迎,尤其是早期,因为你能看到很多不同的球员。

I'm not saying it wouldn't be if there wasn't another event there, but these Home Nations events they are very popular certainly early on because you see so many different players.

Speaker 0

你一天之内能看到六七位世界冠军,还能看到新星,偶尔还有传奇人物,所以性价比很高。而且就像我说的,那种‘哦,它配得上更大的赛事’的说法。

You can see you know six or seven world champions in a single day, you see rising stars, maybe the odd legend as well, So it's great value and as I say, this sort of thing about oh, it deserves a bigger tournament.

Speaker 0

也许这就是他们赢下的赛事。

Well, maybe this is the tournament they won.

Speaker 0

不可避免地,关于水滨大厅作为世锦赛在克鲁斯堡翻新期间的潜在替代场馆,一直有讨论。

Inevitably, there's been chat around the Waterfront Hall as a potential replacement venue for the World Championship while the Crucible's being refurbished.

Speaker 0

听着,那是个很棒的场馆。

I mean, listen, it is a terrific venue.

Speaker 0

它就在贝尔法斯特市中心,到了贝尔法斯特之后很容易找到。

It's in the heart of Belfast City Center, very easy to get to once you're in Belfast.

Speaker 0

周边有很多设施。

Lots of things around it.

Speaker 0

所以它满足了很多条件,但每次讨论这个话题时,总有一个关键点被忽略,那就是财务方面,这可能是最重要的因素之一,甚至是最重要的。

So it ticks a lot of boxes, but there's there's always one thing left out whenever this is discussed, and that is one of the most important things, if not the most important, which is financial side.

Speaker 0

这行得通吗?

Does that work?

Speaker 0

威尔逊和科拉尔能从贝尔法斯特得到什么样的财务协议?

You know, what financial deal could Wilson and Coral get from Belfast?

Speaker 0

他们能和市议会合作吗?

Could they work with the council?

Speaker 0

他们能和场馆方合作吗?

Could they work with the venue?

Speaker 0

因为别忘了,他们使用克鲁斯堡是免费的。

Because remember, they get the crucible for nothing.

Speaker 0

而且事实上,现在谢菲尔德实际上是在花钱来保住世锦赛的举办权。

And in fact, you know, it's it's now the case that Sheffield are actually paying to keep the world championship.

Speaker 0

所以再说一遍,如果你听到有人说某个场馆,不管是Waterfront还是别的,说它是世锦赛的完美替代场馆。

So again, when people say, if you ever hear anyone say whatever venue is, whether it's Waterfront or another one, that's the perfect venue as a replacement for the World Championship.

Speaker 0

你就直接问他们,那财务方面呢?

Just say to them, okay, what's the financial side?

Speaker 0

要花多少钱?

How much will it cost?

Speaker 0

能带来多少收入?

How much will it bring in?

Speaker 0

当然,他们肯定答不上来,所以他们也说不出它是完美场馆这种话。

And of course, they won't know the answer, so they can't say it's the perfect venue.

Speaker 0

关键在于,这不只是比赛场地的问题。

It's not just about the playing arena is the point.

Speaker 0

更重要的是,它在商业上能不能行得通。

It's also about, very importantly, will it work commercially?

Speaker 0

这两者必须兼顾。

The two have to go together.

Speaker 0

你可以找到一个很好的比赛场地,但去那里可能花费很多钱,而且不保证能收回成本。

You can find a really good playing venue where it might actually cost a lot of money to go there and no guarantee of recouping it all.

Speaker 0

或者你可以有一个很好的财务方案,但场地却不怎么样。

Or you could have a really good financial deal and not a particularly good venue.

Speaker 0

你需要两者兼备,这对每项赛事都是如此,但肯定对世界锦标赛在间隔年或几年内也是如此。

You need both, and that's true of every tournament, but certainly it'll be true for the world championship in the sort of gap year or maybe years.

Speaker 0

所以再说一次,这些事情从来不像可能描绘的那么简单,但无论如何,一切即将到来,我们期待它的开始,它从周日开始,比其他的本土系列赛事多一天,因为有三张球台而不是四张,如果人们去的话,我相信他们会玩得很开心。

So again, know, these things are never quite as straightforward as maybe portrayed, but anyway, it's all to come, we're looking forward to it and it starts on Sunday, so it's a day longer than the other Home Nations events because there's three tables as opposed to four, and if people are going, I'm sure they'll enjoy themselves.

Speaker 0

现在我玩得很开心,这正好过渡到伦敦电影节的话题。

Now I've enjoyed myself and that's a segue at the London Film Festival.

Speaker 0

我不会多谈这个,因为没人在乎,但那是一次愉快的经历。

I won't bang on about that because no one cares, but it was an enjoyable experience.

Speaker 0

在那里的时候,我在想怎么把这个联系回斯诺克。

And while I was there, I thought how can I bring this back to snooker?

Speaker 0

我在想,那要是……

I thought, well, what if...

Speaker 0

我当时没喝酒,但我在想,如果世界斯诺克巡回赛本身就是一部电影呢?

And I hadn't been drinking, but I thought, what if the world snooker tour was itself a film?

Speaker 0

谁会……

Who would...

Speaker 0

哪些演员会扮演顶尖选手们呢。

Which actors would portray the various players at the top of the game.

Speaker 0

当然,这个想法其实并不新鲜,因为《鼠帮》就是一部关于80年代斯诺克的BBC剧集,几年前播过。

Now of course this is not a new idea really because the Rat Pack was of course a BBC drama about snooker in the 1980s, that was on a few years ago.

Speaker 0

我们还有过其他斯诺克电影,比如《头号选手》,那部电影一直让人津津乐道,基本上就是亚历克斯·希金斯的故事,还掺了点雷·里尔顿的料。

We've had other snooker films, number one which remains a source of fascination, essentially it's kind of Alex Higgins story with a bit of Ray Reardon thrown in.

Speaker 0

但说到现代球员,好吧,如果要拍某种电影,如果你仔细听,都能听到刮桶底的声音了,你知道,最近没什么大事发生。

But of the modern players, okay, if there was to be some sort of film, can if you listen very carefully, you can hear the barrel being scraped here, know, but there's not been a lot going on.

Speaker 0

但如果职业斯诺克真的拍成电影,谁会来演顶尖选手呢?

But if the if the professional game was a film, who would play the top players?

Speaker 0

我得说,我在这里没提中国选手,因为我对中国演员不太了解,而且我觉得最好还是别碰那个话题。

Now I should say, I've left out the Chinese players here because I don't know really any Chinese actors, and you know, just thought it better not to go there really.

Speaker 0

不过说到英国选手,也就那么几个,我们快速过一遍。

But in terms of the British players, there's only a few, we'll just rattle through them.

Speaker 0

那么马克·塞尔比,谁会来演马克·塞尔比呢?

So Mark Selby, who would play Mark Selby?

Speaker 0

嗯,我选的是杰克·奥康奈尔。

Well, I've gone for Jack O'Connell.

Speaker 0

这有两个原因,其实有三个。

Now there's two reasons, well there's three reasons for this.

Speaker 0

第一,他已经……

One, he's already been...

Speaker 0

他已经在《The Nap》这部剧里演过斯诺克选手了,那部剧是在克鲁斯堡剧院上演的。

He's already played a snooker player in the play the Nap, which was on at the crucible.

Speaker 0

他在那里面演了一个斯诺克选手,而且他得学……

He played a snooker player in that, and he had to learn...

Speaker 0

约翰·阿斯特利是那部剧里的角色。

John Astley was the the player in it.

Speaker 0

他得学点基本功,而且表现得挺不错的。

He had to learn the sort of rudiments, and, you know, he handled himself pretty well.

Speaker 0

第二,我记得他好像是德比郡那边的人,离莱斯特挺近的。

Number two, he's from sort of Derbyshire way I believe, well that's near enough to Lester.

Speaker 0

口音挺像的,我觉得他应付得来。

The accent's pretty similar, he can you know, can get by with that I think.

Speaker 0

第三,我在伦敦电影节上看过他演的一部电影,叫《墨》,讲的是鲁珀特·默多克收购《太阳报》,不仅改变了那份报纸,还改变了英国报纸和媒体的文化。这有点像弗兰肯斯坦的故事,因为他创造了一个怪物,最后有点失控。杰克·奥康奈尔在里面演编辑拉里·兰姆,就是《太阳报》的编辑,演得特别棒。

And the third is I saw him in a film at the London Film Festival, a film called Ink, which is about Rupert Murdoch buying the sun and transforming not only that newspaper, but also the kind of culture of British newspapers, the British media, it's a kind of Frankenstein story because he creates a monster which is out But of his control sort of anyway, Jack O'Connell played the editor, Larry Lamb, the Sun editor, and it was terrific in it.

Speaker 0

总之,他会演马克·塞尔比。

And anyway, he's gonna play Mark Selby.

Speaker 0

接下来是尼尔·罗伯逊,那肯定得是澳大利亚人吧。

We move on, Neil Robertson, well, has to be an Australian, I suppose.

Speaker 0

不然的话,我们可以找个演员来模仿口音,但我们想尽量保持真实,毕竟这是一部很严肃的电影。

Otherwise, you know, well, we could get you could get an actor to, you know, put on an accent, but we're trying to keep it authentic because obviously this is a very serious film.

Speaker 0

现在我想到了,詹姆斯·A。

Now it occurs to me, James A.

Speaker 0

卡斯特,那个喜剧演员,他现在在《名人叛徒》里,他长得跟尼尔·罗伯逊一模一样,但他其实不是演员,而且他不是澳大利亚人。

Caster, the comedian, he's in the celebrity traitors at the moment, he looks exactly like Neil Robertson, but he's not an actor really, so and he's not Australian.

Speaker 0

所以我选了一个澳大利亚演员,你可能认识他,也可能不认识,反正就是乔尔·埃哲顿。

So I've gone for an Australian actor, you may know him, you may not, but anyway he's Joel Edgerton.

Speaker 0

他最近演了一部电影叫《火车梦》,在Netflix上,挺不错的,反正我就选他了。

He's in a film called Train Dreams recently, which is on Netflix, which is quite good, but anyway I've gone for him.

Speaker 0

现在说到约翰·希金斯,他喜欢他的……

Now John Higgins, he likes his...

Speaker 0

艺术,约翰,他……

The arts, John, he's...

Speaker 0

他的一个儿子是演员,另一个是喜剧演员。

One of his sons is an actor, and another one is a comedian.

Speaker 0

但再说一次,他得是苏格兰人,而且有很多苏格兰演员,都非常出色。

But again, you know, has to be a Scott really, and there's a lot of Scottish actors, really good ones.

Speaker 0

我选的是……

I've gone for...

Speaker 0

这个可以拍成一部多元宇宙电影,因为你可以……

Now this it could be a sort of multiverse movie this because you could...

Speaker 0

球员可以由不同年龄的演员来扮演,不一定非得是现在的样子。

The the players could be portrayed at different ages, it doesn't necessarily have to be right now.

Speaker 0

这个演员比约翰年轻一点。

This actor is a little bit younger than John.

Speaker 0

他是马丁·汤普森,在《重任在肩》里演的是一个英格兰角色,但他是苏格兰人,我觉得你可以把他看作年轻的约翰·希金斯。

It's Martin Thompson, he's in the line of duty, where actually he plays an English character, but he is Scottish, and he kind of you could see him as a young John Higgins, I think.

Speaker 0

好了,我们继续,巴里·霍金斯。

So anyway, we move on, Barry Hawkins.

Speaker 0

巴里可是个典型的普通人,对吧?

Now Barry, he's one of the great everyman, isn't he?

Speaker 0

他就是个普通人,大家都喜欢他,没人讨厌巴里。

He's an everyman, he's, you know, he appeals to everybody, nobody dislikes Barry.

Speaker 0

那么哪位演员最能体现这些特质呢?

So which actor best embodies those traits?

Speaker 0

我觉得只有一位在世演员能做到,那就是汤姆·汉克斯。

There's only one really, living actor I think, Tom Hanks.

Speaker 0

非汤姆·汉克斯莫属。

It's gotta be Tom Hanks.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,汤姆·汉克斯就是巴里·霍金斯。

I'm saying Tom Hanks is Barry Hawkins.

Speaker 0

顺便说一下,如果还有人在听的话,我们稍后会处理邮件,但最近确实不太忙。

If anyone's still listening by the way, will get to the emails later, but it's not been the busiest time.

Speaker 0

但本周播客的大新闻是,巴里·霍金斯将由汤姆·汉克斯在电影中出演。

But the big news from the podcast this week is that Barry Hawkins is going be played in a film by Tom Hanks.

Speaker 0

罗密欧·沙利文,这可能是电影中最具挑战性的角色之一,因为显然他职业生涯很长,而且你知道,这个角色性格非常鲜明,有多面性。

Romeo Sullivan, now maybe one of the most demanding roles in the film because obviously a long career and you know a character with very definite sort of different sides to his personality.

Speaker 0

有一位演员叫艾丹·特纳,他多年前演过《波尔达克》,非常受欢迎,还出演过《宿敌》之类的作品,但他看起来有点像罗尼,有那种忧郁的气质,不管怎样,他会在这部电影中扮演罗尼。

There's an actor, Aidan Turner, now he's a he played Poldark years ago, was very popular in that and he was in the rivals and all this business, but he kind of looks a bit like Ronnie, he's got that brooding quality to him and anyway, for what it's worth he's playing him in this film.

Speaker 0

马克·威廉姆斯,这个嘛,其实也有个很明显的人选,我们又回到名人特质上来了,就是迈克尔·辛。

Mark Williams, now, well again, there's an obvious one really, and again, we come back to the celebrity traits, there's Michael Sheen.

Speaker 0

迈克尔·辛能演这些人里的任何一个,因为他就是干这个的,但这么说吧,他是威尔士人,还留着胡子,所以已经差不多到位了,而且我觉得他喜欢斯诺克,我记得他几年前发过关于雷·里尔顿的推文,所以我说迈克尔·辛演马克·威廉姆斯。

Now Michael Sheen could play any of these people because that's kind of what he does, but put it this way, he's Welsh and he's got a beard, so he's already most of the way there, and he likes snooker I believe, I remember him tweeting about Ray Reardon years ago, so Michael Sheen I'm saying, he's Mark Williams.

Speaker 0

贾德·特鲁姆普,到目前为止,这电影有点,我不知道该怎么说,可能有点平淡,但需要更多现代感,也许贾德·特鲁姆普能带来这种感觉,或者更准确地说,是演他的那个人。

Judd Trump, now so far it's a little bit, I don't know what the word is, dull maybe, but need a bit more sort of more of a modern feel to the film, and maybe, you know, Judd Trump could could bring that or more accurately the man playing him.

Speaker 0

蒂莫西·查拉梅。

Timothy Chalamet.

Speaker 0

蒂莫西·查拉梅会演贾德·特鲁姆普。

Timothy Chalamet is gonna play Judd Trump.

Speaker 0

他在《至尊》里演得很好。

He was very good in multi supreme.

Speaker 0

他演了一个乒乓球运动员,或者说是演了一个打乒乓球的人。

He played a table tennis player or someone who played table tennis.

Speaker 0

在我看来他本该拿奥斯卡的,但这不是我说了算的。

Should have won the Oscar in my opinion, but, you know, it's not up to me.

Speaker 0

但他能给这个——说实话,本来挺没意义的事儿——带来一点好莱坞的光彩。

But he could bring a little bit of Hollywood glamour to this, to what is otherwise, let's be honest, quite a pointless exercise.

Speaker 0

还有四位,凯伦·威尔逊,我选的是保罗·麦斯卡。

And we've got four more, Karen Wilson, I've gone for Paul Meskow.

Speaker 0

他是爱尔兰人,眯着眼看,或者把眼镜摘了,他确实有点像凯伦,我觉得他能演凯伦。

Now he is Irish, he kinda looks a bit like Karen, If you squint, maybe take your glasses off, but I think he could play play Kyren.

Speaker 0

克里斯·韦克林,是我一个人这么觉得,还是你们也看出克里斯蒂安·贝尔的影子?

Chris Wakelin, is it just me or do I see Christian Bale?

Speaker 0

克里斯·韦克林,给他戴顶帽子。

And Chris Wakelin, put a hat on him.

Speaker 0

他们俩简直像亲兄弟。

It could could be brothers.

Speaker 0

马克·艾伦,还是想尽量贴近真人,但有个……

Mark Allen, again, you know, trying to keep it authentic, but there's a...

Speaker 0

我选的是北爱尔兰演员,理查德·多默。

I've gone for Northern Irish actor now, Richard Dormer.

Speaker 0

你可能不认识他,但他演过《权力的游戏》,还在舞台上扮演过亚历克斯·希金斯,那是很久以前的事了,而且他比马克年纪大,所以我们得把他想象成未来的马克·艾伦。

You may not know him, but he was in Game of Thrones, but he played Alex Higgins on stage, and this is a while ago, and again, he's older than Mark, so we'd have to be sort of maybe Mark Allen of the future.

Speaker 0

但他演亚历克斯·希金斯演得非常好。

But he was superb as Alex Higgins.

Speaker 0

那是一部独角戏,大概是二十年前的事了。

And it was a one man play about twenty years ago now.

Speaker 0

我们是在克鲁斯堡剧院看的。

We saw it at the Crucible.

Speaker 0

是在小剧场里,当时是和克莱夫一起去的,而且亚历克斯·希金斯本人也在现场看。

It was in the Studio theater, went with Clive actually, and Alex Higgins was there watching it himself.

Speaker 0

确实,最后他还上了台。

Indeed, he got on the stage at the end.

Speaker 0

总之,理查德·多默,北爱尔兰的优秀演员。

But anyway, Richard Dormer, fine actor from Northern Ireland.

Speaker 0

最后是肖恩·墨菲。

Finally, Shaun Murphy.

Speaker 0

这个演员我觉得大多数人可能没听说过,但是……

Now this is an actor I think most people won't have heard of, but...

Speaker 0

嗯,他叫奥利弗·莫特曼。

Well, his name's Oliver Maltman.

Speaker 0

几年前我看过一部迈克·李的电影,叫《又一年》,这个角色大概在电影放到一半的时候出现。

I saw a film a few years ago by Mike Lee called Another Year, and this character appears in it about halfway through.

Speaker 0

虽然只是个配角,但演他的这个演员莫特曼,我怎么说呢,他长得特别像肖恩·墨菲,而且举止也很像,我甚至怀疑他们是不是有血缘关系。

It's only a minor role, but this actor who played him, Maltman, I cannot stress the extent to which, a, he looked like Shaun Murphy, and b, sort of had the same mannerisms to the extent where I'd actually wondered if they were actually related.

Speaker 0

他后来老了一些,但谁不是呢?

He's aged a bit since then, but haven't we all?

Speaker 0

不过不管怎样,就是那部电影。

But anyway, for the record, that's the film.

Speaker 0

演员表的事我们以后再定。

We'll work out the billing later.

Speaker 0

我觉得汤姆·汉克斯应该排在最前面,但不管怎样,那个……

I suppose Tom Hanks would have to be top billed, but anyway, that...

Speaker 0

那是经纪人们要处理的事。

That's for the agents to work out.

Speaker 0

电影里具体发生了什么,我也不清楚。

Exactly what happens in the film, I don't know.

Speaker 0

但那些就是我在伦敦电影节上的感想。

But they were my they were my thoughts from the London Film Festival.

Speaker 0

听众们可能会想,你怎么不多休息几天呢?

People listening thinking, why couldn't you have taken a few more days off?

Speaker 0

不过不管怎样,我们回来了,而且我想我们正在为贝尔法斯特之后的正式聊天做准备。

But anyway, we're we're back and and we're building up to, you know, the proper chat, I suppose, after Belfast.

Speaker 0

我们来看看邮件。

We'll go to the emails.

Speaker 0

汤姆·米利亚德说,在深圳的精彩一周结束后,只有一个问题想问。

Tom Milliard says, after the conclusion of Good Week in Shenzhen, have just one quick question.

Speaker 0

袁思俊是不是第一位在没有遇到任何前32名选手的情况下,就进入排名赛决赛(不包括单局限时赛)的球员?

Is Yuan Sijun the first player to get to a ranking event final excluding the shootout without meeting a single top 32 player on the way?

Speaker 0

前16名有可能,但前32名确实不常见。

Top 16 seems possible, but top 32 really is an unusual circumstance.

Speaker 0

一如既往,感谢你为我们这项运动所做的贡献。

Thanks as always for the good work you do for our sport.

Speaker 0

我已经开始期待贝尔法斯特了。

I'm already looking forward to Belfast.

Speaker 0

好的,汤姆。

Well, you, Tom.

Speaker 0

汤姆在波兰。

Tom's in Poland.

Speaker 0

老实说,汤姆,我不知道。

Honest answer, Tom, I don't know.

Speaker 0

我一时想不起来有谁。

I couldn't think of any off the top of my head.

Speaker 0

比赛太多了。

There's been so many events.

Speaker 0

这些比赛过得很快,但我感觉如果真有这种情况,我们应该会记得。

They kind of go by in a rush, but I get the feeling we would have remembered if there had been.

Speaker 0

所以如果有人确切知道答案的话,我隐约觉得罗尼或者特朗普法官可能曾经有过这样的抽签,但也许没有,也许没有。

So if anyone knows definitive the answer to that, I had a feeling either either Ronnie or or judge Trump possibly at some point had had that one of those draws, but maybe not, maybe not.

Speaker 0

所以我知道这不是最确切的答案,其实一点也不确切,我不知道。

So I know that's not, you know, the most definitive answer, it's not definitive at all, I don't know.

Speaker 0

但我想不出来,就这么说吧。

But I can't think of it, put it that way.

Speaker 0

布莱恩·坎贝尔问,未来十年内,有没有可能你只需要在家解说,而不是去TNT的转播基地?

Brian Campbell says, will there ever be a time in the next ten years where you can just do your commentaries from home as opposed to going to the TNT broadcast base?

Speaker 0

新冠期间,有些赛事,我觉得你会收到一套设备,在家为ITV解说。

During COVID for some events, I think you will send a bit of kit to commentate from home for ITV.

Speaker 0

从你的角度来看,这样做有什么优缺点?

What are the advantages and disadvantages of this from your point of view?

Speaker 0

就我的工作而言,我一周有三天在家工作,但周三和周四我会去办公室。

For my job, I work from home three days a week, but I'm in the office on Wednesday and Thursday.

Speaker 0

我确实喜欢这种平衡,因为我觉得从心理上讲,出门见见同事是件好事。

I do like the balance as I feel psychologically it's good to get out of the house and see my colleagues in person.

Speaker 0

最后,当克鲁斯堡翻新后,有没有人考虑过解说席会放在哪里?

Finally, when the crucible is refurbished, is anyone thinking about where the commentary boxes will go?

Speaker 0

新布局的效果图似乎没有把解说席画进去。

The artist's impression of the new layout seems to leave the boxes out.

Speaker 0

如果TNT不能在整个十七天里都在克鲁斯堡直播,那会很可惜,不像现在这样,从半决赛开始才在那里。

It would be a shame if TNT couldn't contact with the crucible for the full seventeen days as opposed to the current situation where you're accommodating from the semifile onwards.

Speaker 0

像往常一样,继续做好你们的播客。

As usual, keep up the good work on the podcast.

Speaker 0

好的,谢谢你,布莱恩。

Well, thank you, Brian.

Speaker 0

对,效果图上可能不会画出来,因为它们总是临时的,比赛时才安装,但剧院平时演出的时候不会一直在那里。

Yeah, I mean, they wouldn't have been on the artist's impression, I guess, just because they're always temporary, so they're installed, you know, for the event, but they won't be there all year round when it's a theatre, you know, showing productions.

Speaker 0

疫情期间,我们不知道演播室团队在家工作,像尼尔、吉尔·道格拉斯、艾伦、斯蒂芬·亨德利这些人,他们基本上被送了一套演播室设备,得自己组装,我觉得有个热线电话,但那次经历之后,那个热线电话自己都需要帮助了。

We didn't know during Covid, the studio team worked from home, so people like Neil, Jill Douglas, Allen, Stephen Hendry, they were sent essentially a kind of studio kit they had to rep themselves, I think it was a man on a helpline who after that experience needed a helpline himself.

Speaker 0

但他们得自己把一切都装好,对,然后弄起来。

But they had to set it all up themselves, yeah, and get it going.

Speaker 0

但我们当时在米尔顿凯恩斯,解说时严格保持社交距离,在一个房间里。

But we were actually at Milton Keynes, commentating strictly, you know, in a sort of room that was socially distanced.

Speaker 0

对于TMT来说,在家解说,当然,问题是我们得和其他解说员合作,所以我觉得不在同一个房间里和其他解说员一起工作会很有挑战性,但关键还是得依赖家里的网络,大家都知道这网络可能不太稳定,而且为了直播,你可能需要安装绝对最快的网速,但并不是所有人都住在能装这种网速的地方,我想。

In terms of commentator from home for TMT, of course, the thing is we work with other commentators, so I think it would be challenging not to be in the room with other commentator, but also the key thing really is you'd be relying on your home internet, which as everybody knows can be a bit inconsistent and for broadcast, you would need probably to have installed the absolutely sort of best speed you can get, and not everyone lives in areas where that's possible, suppose.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得短期内不会实现,但你说十年后,谁知道十年后我们还会不会干这行呢。

So I don't think that will happen in the near future, but you say in ten years, who knows in ten years whether where where any of us will be doing this at all.

Speaker 0

我觉得这样做的好处就是不用到处跑,我想。

I I think advantage of doing it would be you wouldn't have to travel anywhere else, I guess.

Speaker 0

但我觉得坏处是,不仅网络连接可能有问题,还得确保和其他解说员同步,而且如果你和其他解说员在一起,可以交流一些新闻和八卦,在开始解说前就能达成共识。

But I think the disadvantage is it could be challenging, you know, from the perspective of not only the Internet connection, but also just making sure you're in sync with the other commentator and also if you are with the other commentators, know you can swap bits of news and gossip and you kind of, you're on the sort of same page before you start commentating.

Speaker 0

不过确实,比如罗尔夫·考,他多年来在德国家里有自己的工作室,他家里有个房间改成了专业工作室,他可以从那里解说,这显然减少了很多旅行。

It is true though, mean Rolf Kao for years, he had his own studio at home in Germany, so there was a room in his house where it was converted to a proper studio and he could commentate from there and that obviously cut down a lot of traveling.

Speaker 0

但你需要的是那样的条件,不能就在家里随便找个房间弄,你得有所有专业设备,然后显然得有人为此买单,我想问题就是,值不值得花这个钱,我猜。

That's what you'd need though, you couldn't just sort do it in your back room, you'd have to have all the proper equipment and then obviously someone would have to pay for that and I guess the question would be, is it worthwhile paying for it, I guess.

Speaker 0

接下来我们来看保罗·钱皮恩的留言,他说:听到艾莉森·费舍尔因帕金森病从Q运动退役的消息,我感到非常难过。

We move on to Paul Champion, who says, I was very sorry to hear about Alison Fisher's retirement from Q Sports due to her Parkinson's diagnosis.

Speaker 0

作为八十年代末、九十年代初一个痴迷斯诺克的孩子,我在苏塞克斯一个由弗兰克·桑德尔组织的活跃青少年巡回赛中打球,弗兰克也是艾莉森的教练。

Growing up as a snooker mad kid in the late eighties and early nineties, I played on a thriving junior circuit in Sussex run by Frank Sandal, who's also Alison's coach.

Speaker 0

我至今记得参加表演赛的美好回忆,艾莉森会迎战所有挑战者,并且总能轻松获胜。

I have fond memories of attending exhibition matches where Alison would take on and resoundedly beat all comers.

Speaker 0

我隐约记得有一次自己也是那些倒霉的对手之一,但因为没有确凿证据,我常常怀疑这是不是只是我的幻觉。

I can vaguely recall being one of those hapless opponents on one occasion, but with no documented evidence to prove this, I often wonder whether this is just in my mind playing tricks on me.

Speaker 0

几年后她去了美国,这让人失望,但也许不可避免。不过我一直关注她在台球巡回赛上的表现,我相信她至今仍是这项运动历史上成就最高的女选手。

Her departure to The United States a few years later was disappointing but possibly inevitable, however I continued to follow her progress on the pool circuit and I believe she remains to this day the most decorated female player in the game's history.

Speaker 0

毫不夸张地说,如果没有艾莉森,女子斯诺克可能不会有今天的地位。她向全国证明了女性也能在Q运动中取得成功。

It's probably no exaggeration to say the women's game wouldn't be where it is today if not for Alison, who proved to the nation that women could be successful at Q Sports.

Speaker 0

我相信她会以在斯诺克桌上展现的那种钢铁般的决心来对抗这种可怕的疾病。我想我可以代表所有听众祝她未来一切顺利。

I'm certain she will approach her fight against this appalling disease with the same steely determination that she displayed on the snooker table, and I'm sure I can speak for all listeners in wishing her all the best for the future.

Speaker 0

确实如此,保罗。

Well, indeed, Paul.

Speaker 0

谢谢。

Thank you.

Speaker 0

对,说到保罗提到的这件事,我们知道近年来有不少斯诺克选手转去打美式台球,或者尝试了一下。

And, yeah, I mean, just on the Paul thing, I mean, we we know in more recent times, a bunch of snooker players have sort of gravitated towards Paul or given it a go.

Speaker 0

其实大多数人都挺吃力的。

And most of them have struggled actually.

Speaker 0

你必须全身心投入,而她做到了。

You have to dedicate yourself and she did.

Speaker 0

而且不仅如此,去美国生活本身就是一个巨大的改变。

And not only that, of course, it was a big change of life to go to America.

Speaker 0

所以她真的做得非常出色。

So she did incredibly well.

Speaker 0

就像你说的,我们祝她一切顺利。

And as you say, we wish all the best.

Speaker 0

保罗有一个……

Paul has a...

Speaker 0

这里还有一点。

Just another point here.

Speaker 0

顺便恭喜一下吉米·罗伯逊,他在深圳打进了半决赛,表现非常出色。

Quick word of congratulations to Jimmy Robertson for his superb run to the semifinals in Shenzhen.

Speaker 0

吉米是个神童,和艾莉森一样出自苏塞克斯的青少年赛场,这些年来我一直很关注他的职业生涯。

Jimmy was a child prodigy who emerged from the same Sussex junior scene as Alison, and I have followed his career closely over the years.

Speaker 0

他离开中国时心情肯定很复杂。

He'll leave China with conflicting feelings, I'm sure.

Speaker 0

一方面,他在低迷之后能有这样的表现,自己肯定很高兴;但另一方面,他可能会想,如果最后那局决胜局运气好一点,结果会不会不一样。

On one hand, delighted on his performance after spelling the doldrums, but on the other hand thinking what if after a mad final frame decider, which could easily have gone his way.

Speaker 0

确实。

Indeed.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

他有时间好好回味这一切,总的来说这一周表现不错,但我想最终还是会有点失望。

I mean, he's had time to reflect on all that and, you know, it was a good week in general, but, you know, I guess ultimately disappointing.

Speaker 0

现在菲尔·麦考伊说,他有个关于裁判的问题,想问你播客的新板块。

Now Phil McCaughey says, I have a ref's question for your new section of the podcast.

Speaker 0

菲尔,我得先说一句,我忘了,其实我忘了把这个发给我们的裁判,所以这周你得不到他的答案了,但我会尽力自己回答。

I should say right away Phil, I forgot I actually forgot to send this to our referee, so you won't get the answer from him this week, but I'll do my best to answer it myself.

Speaker 0

如果你遇到一个无法解开的斯诺克球,会发生什么?

What happens if you're in an impossible snooker?

Speaker 0

比如,打进一颗红球后,母球完全被其他红球包围,根本碰不到彩球。

For example, after potting a red, the cue ball is entirely surrounded by other red, so it's not possible to make contact with the color.

Speaker 0

我不记得发生过这种情况,但我觉得肯定有过。

I can't recall this kind of scenario happening, but I think it must have done.

Speaker 0

你知道有这种例子吗?

Do you know of any instances when it has?

Speaker 0

我一时想不起来。

Off the top of my head, no.

Speaker 0

我记得规则是这样的——以后我要是记得,还是会发给裁判——但我觉得规则是,你必须打出一杆合法的击球。

I believe the rule is, and again, you know, I will in future, if I remember, send this to our referee, but I think the rule is you have to be seen to play a legitimate stroke.

Speaker 0

所以即使你打不到目标球,你也得让人看到你在打一个合法的球,然后大概就是犯规但不是没打到,不然你就在那儿耗一辈子了。

So even if it's not possible to hit the object ball, you have to be seen to play a legitimate stroke and then, you know, it'll be presumably a foul but not a miss, otherwise you'd be literally be there forever.

Speaker 0

然后,尼克·赫姆斯利说,这太不可思议了,梅尔,他说,你知道吗,加拿大多伦多有一条斯诺克街?

Now, Nick Hemsley, he says, and this is extraordinary, Mel, he says, did you know there's a Snooker Street in Toronto, Canada?

Speaker 0

那是市中心的一条短街,沿着老布伦瑞克台球工厂旁边。

It's a short street downtown that runs alongside the old Brunswick billiards factory.

Speaker 0

我上周在城里的时候去看了,照片附上。

I visited while in town last week, pictures attached.

Speaker 0

然后我们看到了,这就是尼克,没错,真的是斯诺克街。

And here we are, there are, there's Nick and it is, yes, it's literally Snooker Street.

Speaker 0

多伦多,这不是什么小地方,这是个大城市,当然有很好的斯诺克传统。

Toronto, I mean, this is, you know, it's not some backwater, this is a major place, major city with a good snooker pedigree of course.

Speaker 0

尼克说,很遗憾确认没有147号斯诺克街。

Nick says, regret to confirm there's no number 147 Snooker Street.

Speaker 0

不过,附近有一条斯特朗大道,当地人发音和贝斯制造商一样。

However, nearby is a Strawn Avenue that is pronounced the same way as the bass producer by the locals.

Speaker 0

我找了找有没有以索伯恩命名的大道,但没找到。

I look for a Thorburn thoroughfare, but no luck.

Speaker 0

谷歌地图告诉我,美国西雅图附近有一条斯诺克巷,加纳还有一条斯诺克大道。

Google Maps tells me there's a snooker lane near Seattle, USA, and a snooker avenue in Ghana.

Speaker 0

哇,这可真了不起。

Well, this is big.

Speaker 0

嗯,西雅图,当然,说是西雅图附近。

I mean, well, Seattle, of course, say near Seattle.

Speaker 0

我们在那里有听众,比如戴夫·戴利和公牛台球俱乐部的其他人,也许他们可以去看看。

We have listeners there, Dave Daly and others at the Ox Billiards Club, so maybe they could go down and check that out.

Speaker 0

我不知道我们在加纳有没有听众,如果有的话,请确认一下。

I don't know whether we've got any listeners in Ghana, but if we do, please confirm.

Speaker 0

上周,很遗憾,是保罗·亨特去世二十周年,我们……

Now last week, of course, it was sadly the twentieth anniversary of the passing of Paul Hunter, and we...

Speaker 0

裁判……

The judge...

Speaker 0

我刚刚录了一些关于那件事的想法。

I just recorded a few thoughts on that.

Speaker 0

我们收到了一些反馈。

We've got a little bit of feedback.

Speaker 0

劳拉·麦克唐纳说,我今天早上没想到会一边吃早餐一边哭。

Laura McDonald says, I wasn't expecting to cry over my breakfast this morning.

Speaker 0

我也没想到今天早上会给播客发邮件。

I also wasn't expecting to email a podcast this morning.

Speaker 0

所以这是我一天中两个非常不寻常的时刻,都是你造成的。

So that's two very unusual moments in my day for which you are responsible.

Speaker 0

我连茶都还没喝完呢。

I've not even finished my cuppa.

Speaker 0

非常感谢你分享的保罗·亨特的回忆。

Thanks so much for the paw hunter memories.

Speaker 0

我只是一个普通的、主要看电视转播的斯诺克球迷。

I'm just a random mostly TV snooker fan.

Speaker 0

我完全不参与这个圈子。

I'm not involved in the scene in any way.

Speaker 0

自2011年以来,我就没去看过现场比赛。

Haven't I been to watch a live match since 2011.

Speaker 0

不过,我非常喜欢看保罗的比赛,他去世时我真的很伤心。

However, I absolutely adored watching Paul and was really upset when he passed.

Speaker 0

那时我才20岁,但我爸爸在我四岁时就去世了,所以这让我感同身受。

I was only 20 at the time, but my own dad had died when I was four, so it felt quite close to home.

Speaker 0

事实上,我觉得他的去世是唯一让我哭的明星离世,直到最近多莉·帕顿去世。

In fact, I think that his is the only celebrity death that made me cry until the recent departure of Dolly Parton.

Speaker 0

真不敢相信已经二十年了。

Can't believe it's been twenty years.

Speaker 0

总之,我得再去烧壶水。

Anyway, need to stick the kettle on again.

Speaker 0

哭成这样,我的茶都凉了。

All this blubbing means my tea has gone cold.

Speaker 0

好的,谢谢你,劳拉。

Well, thank you, Laura.

Speaker 0

是的,你说得很对,有时候我们对新闻中去世的人或者名人去世的反应,确实会受到现实生活中发生的事情的影响。

Yes, I mean, you're quite right that sometimes our reaction to deaths in the news and celebrity deaths can be informed by what's happening in real life.

Speaker 0

不过有一点我要纠正你一下,你说我只是个普通人,不参与这个圈子,但你参与,你看斯诺克。

One thing I will just pick you up on though, you say I'm just a random, I'm not involved in the scene, you are involved in the scene, you watch snooker.

Speaker 0

所以在我看来,如果你是斯诺克球迷,那你就算参与其中了。

So if you're a snooker fan, you're involved as far as I'm concerned.

Speaker 0

我们为此感谢你。

And we thank you for that.

Speaker 0

感谢你的收听。

Thank you for listening.

Speaker 0

乔·墨菲说,你们最新的播客是对已故的保罗·亨特的精彩致敬。

Joe Murphy says, your latest podcast was a wonderful tribute to the late Paul Hunter.

Speaker 0

这让我不寒而栗,也让我深刻体会到失去这样一位才华横溢的球员和年轻人是多么令人心碎,他年仅27岁,就在他20岁生日前五天离世了。

It sent shivers through me and brought home the heartbreaking reality of losing such a gifted player and young man at just 27, five days before his 20 birthday.

Speaker 0

他面前还有那么多的希望、欢乐和生命。

So much promise, joy, and life still lay ahead of him.

Speaker 0

其实值得提一下,就在我们今天录制的时候,正好是保罗·亨特的40岁生日。

It's worth saying actually just to break in as we record this today, it would have been Paul Hunter's 40 birthday.

Speaker 0

继续深思熟虑、感人至深,并且对保罗、他的家人以及包括迈克尔·霍尔特和尼尔·罗伯逊在内的同行球员充满深深的敬意,他捕捉到的远不止一个斯诺克球员的辉煌。

To continue thoughtful moving and filled with deep respect for Paul, his family and fellow players, including Michael Holt and Neil Robertson, he captured so much more than the brilliance of a snooker player.

Speaker 0

他致敬了保罗的温暖、个性和持久的影响,他的一生被残酷地缩短,但他的记忆永远不会消逝,这是一份深情而恰当的致敬,献给保罗以及他给每个认识他、看过他比赛的人留下的印记,感谢你创作了如此有力而特别的作品。

He honored the warmth character and lasting impact of a man whose life was cruelly cut short, whose memory will never fade, a deeply moving and fitting tribute to Paul and the mark he left on everyone who knew him and watched him play, thank you for such a powerful and special piece of work.

Speaker 0

嗯,你太客气了,谢谢你。我只是想真正地,嗯,向他致敬,同时正如我当时说的,会有听众不记得他,我想解释一下为什么他在斯诺克界仍然如此受尊敬和常被提及。

Well, that's very kind of you, thank you, I mean, you know, I just wanted to really just sort of, well, yeah, honor him and also as I said at the time, there'll be people listening who didn't don't remember him, and just to explain why he is still so revered and talked about within the game.

Speaker 0

马克·汤森,播客的长期听众。

Mark Townsend, longtime listener of the pod.

Speaker 0

我没有问题。

I don't have a question.

Speaker 0

只想说保罗·亨特那期节目真的太棒了。

Just wanted to say the Paul Hunter episode was absolutely brilliant.

Speaker 0

还是让人很难过。

Still so sad.

Speaker 0

二十年过去了,我觉得你做得非常好。

Twenty years later, I thought you did a great job.

Speaker 0

真的非常感谢你。

Thank you very much indeed for that.

Speaker 0

斯蒂芬·格罗夫斯说,我刚听了你关于保罗·亨特的那期节目。

And Stephen Groves says, I've just listened to your Paul Hunter episode.

Speaker 0

我想说,虽然那期节目因为显而易见的原因很沉重,但我觉得你讲得非常到位。

I wanted to say as much as it was a somber episode for obvious reasons, I thought you delivered it perfectly.

Speaker 0

在九十年代初的青少年时期,我有幸在赫姆斯比的英国青少年锦标赛上跟保罗·亨特交过手,那时我们俩都才14、15岁。

In the junior days back in the early nineties, I was fortunate enough to play Paul Hunter in the UK Junior Championships in Hemsby when we were both 14 or 15.

Speaker 0

在我跟他交手之前的几年里,他显然就是个明星了。

In the several years prior to me playing him, it was absolutely obvious what a star he was.

Speaker 0

他身上有一种其他孩子没有的气场。

He had an aura that the other kids just didn't have.

Speaker 0

说实话,就算我年纪还小的时候跟他打球,我也知道自己在跟一个非常特别的人打球,能和他同台竞技是我的荣幸。

I don't mind telling you, even at a young age when I was playing him, I knew I was playing someone very special indeed, and it was a pleasure to share the table with him.

Speaker 0

我觉得你提议让他的女儿在一月份的大师赛上颁发保罗·亨特奖杯,这个主意太棒了,世界斯诺克肯定会采纳的。

I think your idea of his daughter presenting the Paul Hunter trophy at the Masters in January is a fantastic one, and surely one that world snooker will adopt.

Speaker 0

关于这个,我想说的是,这当然要看他的女儿愿不愿意,不是每个人都愿意做这种事,所以你知道,也许可以提出这个建议,但最终还是要看她自己的决定。

Well, just to say on that, I mean, obviously, you know, it would be up to his daughter if she wanted to do that, not everyone maybe would be comfortable doing that, so you know, maybe the offer could be made but ultimately it will be up to her.

Speaker 0

如果她不愿意,那为什么不让他爸爸来呢?

If not, then why not, you know, his dad?

Speaker 0

我是说,艾伦在巡回赛上可是常客。

I mean Alan, you know, was such a regular on the circuit.

Speaker 0

然后你在这里说,你不需要读出来,不管你的节目是什么情绪或主题,我不知道你是怎么做到的,但你总是能恰到好处。

And then you say here, you don't need to read this out, whatever mood or theme your episodes are in, not sure quite how you do it, but you're all you always get it just right.

Speaker 0

好吧,我读出来了,因为那确实是一种表扬。

Well, have read that out because it was it was a bit of praise.

Speaker 0

就在去雷丁参加世界系列赛、世界元老赛第三站的路上,你的节目让我意识到我能做这件事是多么幸运,而保罗现在肯定很想打斯诺克。

Just on the way down to Reading for the World Series event, World Seniors event three, your episode has made me think how lucky I am to be able to do this when Paul would have just loved to be playing snooker right now.

Speaker 0

是的,史蒂文,说得非常好。

Well, absolutely, Steven, and that's very well said.

Speaker 0

现在,史蒂文·肯尼迪,你发来了一段挺长的内容,如果你不介意的话,我下周会读出来。

Now, Steven Kennedy, you've sent in a quite a long piece, which I will read out next week if you don't mind.

Speaker 0

我下周会读出来,所以它没有被扔掉,我们会再回来讲这个。

I'm gonna read it out to next week, so it's not it's not been binned, but we'll come back to it.

Speaker 0

瑞安·戴利,假设这周节目之后我们还有听众的话。

Ryan Daily, assuming we've got any listeners left after this week's episode.

Speaker 0

瑞安·戴利说,距离我上次联系已经有一段时间了,但我的名字是瑞安·戴利。

Ryan Daly says, it's been quite a while since I last reached out, but my name is Ryan Daly.

Speaker 0

我来自纽约州,是这个播客的长期粉丝。

I'm from New York State and a longtime fan of the podcast.

Speaker 0

我的问题,你大概能从主题行猜到,顺便说一下,主题行是“如果这发生在鹰眼身上会怎样?”

My question, as you can probably imagine from the subject line, and the subject line, by the way, what if it happened to Hawkeye?

Speaker 0

这不是关于艾伦·奥尔德,他是另一位演员。

And it's not about Alan Alder, who's another actor.

Speaker 0

然后……

And...

Speaker 0

总之,在最近的休赛期里……

Anyway, in the recent downtime...

Speaker 0

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

如果鹰眼系统出问题了呢?

What if happened to Hawkeye?

Speaker 0

在最近比赛间歇的时候,我又开始重温一些老比赛,想解解斯诺克的瘾。

In the recent downtime between tournaments, I started rewatching some of the older matches again to get my snooker fitch fixed.

Speaker 0

我一直在看的是2009年亨利·墨菲的比赛,他非常依赖鹰眼系统,尤其是用来向观众展示安全球之后哪些目标球能看到、哪些看不到,或者击打彩球时可能有的角度。

The match match I've been watching, Henry Lee Murphy from the 2,009, so consistently uses Hawkeye, especially to show viewers what object balls can and can't be seen after a safety shot or angle they may have on a color.

Speaker 0

我觉得这真的提升了观赛体验。

I find it really enhances the viewing experience.

Speaker 0

而且似乎也帮了解说员预测球员有哪些击球选择。

It seemed to help the commentators as well in predicting what shots are available to the player.

Speaker 0

我想知道你是否也喜欢并享受那个老鹰眼系统。

I wonder if you agree and enjoy the old Hawkeye system.

Speaker 0

我觉得我最近几年在中国赛事里见过它或者类似的东西,但如果我没记错的话,英国本土的锦标赛里已经不再出现了。

I feel like I've seen it in something or something like it in the Chinese events in recent years, but it no longer appears in any of The UK based tournaments if I'm not mistaken.

Speaker 0

那为什么我们不再用这个系统了呢?

So why did we move away from it?

Speaker 0

你希望这些锦标赛重新引入它吗?

Would you like to see it come back for these tournaments?

Speaker 0

如果你能提供任何见解,我将非常感激。

Any insight you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Speaker 0

一如既往,来自纽约的最美好祝愿。

As always, best wishes from New York.

Speaker 0

非常感谢你为这项运动所做的一切出色工作。

Thank you kindly for all the great work you do in and around the game.

Speaker 0

你对解说的投入,对我们所热爱的这项运动来说,真的是无价之宝。

Your commitment of commentary is truly invaluable to the game we all love.

Speaker 0

好的,Ryan,谢谢你的美言。

Well, thank you Ryan for those kind words.

Speaker 0

对,我觉得很多问题的答案,归根结底就是钱的问题,这确实很贵。

Yeah, I mean the answer to so many questions, I guess it comes down to money, it is costly.

Speaker 0

你说得对,它曾经在英国锦标赛中用了好一阵子,后来就没了,而且就像你说的,我们在中国还有。

You're right though, it was a feature for quite a while in the British tournaments and then it went away and as you say, we have it in China.

Speaker 0

在我看来,人们有时会抱怨换球和这些事花的时间太长,这也有道理。

I mean, it seems to me, you know, people complain and sometimes rightly about the length of time it takes to, replace balls and all that.

Speaker 0

鹰眼系统做这些事就非常理想,你知道的。

I mean, Hawkeye would be ideal for all that stuff, know.

Speaker 0

在科技这块,总的来说,这项运动确实落后于其他运动,这是没法否认的。

It is an area, technology in general is an area where the game does lag behind other sports, there's just no getting away from that.

Speaker 0

但归根结底,总得有人来买单。

But it comes down to someone's gotta pay for it.

Speaker 0

我最近发现,在口袋里装摄像头要花多少钱,真是让我大吃一惊。

I mean, I was astonished to find out recently how much it costs to have cameras in the pockets.

Speaker 0

那些口袋摄像机,成本非常高,而拍出来的镜头可能一帧都用不上,也许一帧里只用几次,整场比赛下来,那个镜头可能都看不到十次,但成本就是摆在那里,所有这些东西都是这样。在资金紧张、前景不明朗的时候,转播方肯定要考虑这些成本。

Those pocket cameras, they cost so much money for what is a shot that will only be used, maybe not even once a frame, only maybe a couple of times a frame, but during a match, you might not see that shot 10 times, but it costs money as all these things do and they've got to be concerns for broadcasters at a time when money's tight and it's quite an uncertain landscape.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得答案大概就是这样,但就像你说的,在中国,他们确实有这些设备。

So I suppose that's probably the answer, but as you say in China, they do have it.

Speaker 0

最后,本周祖拜尔·库雷希留言说:非常感谢你对保罗·亨特那番美好而真挚的致敬。

Finally, week, Zubair Qureshi says this, thank you so much for your beautiful and heartfelt tribute to Paul Hunter.

Speaker 0

你把他的一生和职业生涯总结得非常完美。

You summarized his life in career so perfectly.

Speaker 0

他是一个非常华丽、充满魅力的球员,我们斯诺克大家庭永远不会忘记他。

He was a brilliantly flamboyant player, and we, the snooker family, will never ever forget him.

Speaker 0

如果他的女儿能像你建议的那样,在一月份颁发大师赛奖杯,那就太好了……

It would be lovely if his daughter could present the master's trophy in January like you suggest...

Speaker 0

就像你建议的那样。

Like you suggested.

Speaker 0

另外,谢谢你再次提到我五年级的圣诞剧,那正好和1993年那场史诗级的英国锦标赛决赛撞上了。

Also, thanks for mentioning my year five Christmas play again that coincided with the epic nine ninety three UK final.

Speaker 0

好吧,是胡伯特这几周一直在跟我们透露一点消息,但现在我们终于拿到细节了。

Well, was Hubert who's been teasing us with this a little bit for a few weeks, but we've now got the details.

Speaker 0

他说那也是一个史诗般的故事,叫《勇敢的小泰勒》。

He says it was also an epic tale called Brave Little Taylor.

Speaker 0

注意,这里不是丹尼斯那个泰勒,是泰勒,就是泰勒。

Now this is not as in Dennis, this is Taylor as in, you know, Taylor.

Speaker 0

我就是那个裁缝,从卑微的出身开始,骗过国王,娶了公主——她恰好是五年级里最漂亮的女孩——还继承了一个伟大的王国和财富。

I was the tailor who grew from humble beginnings to trick a king and marry the princess who happened to be the best looking girl in year five and inherit a great kingdom and wealth.

Speaker 0

那场戏的荣耀真的帮我忘掉了史蒂夫在1983年4月12日遭受的可怕惨败。

The glory of the play really helped me to forget the horrible tragic loss Steve suffered on the 12/04/1983.

Speaker 0

祖拜尔,我突然想到,根据你以前登台表演的经历,你可能是我们之前提到的那些演员之一。

It occurs to me, Zubair, you could be one of our actors that we mentioned earlier based on, you know, your history of treading the boards.

Speaker 0

谢谢你提到艾伦·麦克马纳斯最近在他的播客里对史蒂夫的致敬。

Thanks for mentioning the tribute to Steve recently by Alan McManus on his podcast.

Speaker 0

那真是太棒了。

It was wonderful stuff.

Speaker 0

这周关于斯诺克的话题,我想聊聊被遗忘的锦标赛,那可是斯诺克黄金时代的一大亮点。

For my snookering point this week, please may I talk about Forgotten Tornment, which was a real highlight of the great snooker era.

Speaker 0

之前播客里也提过,世界团体杯是过去斯诺克赛季的一个重要看点。

It's been discussed on the podcast before, but the World Team Cup was a major highlight of past snooker seasons.

Speaker 0

比赛非常精彩,有很多经典对决,很多人都记得那些伟大的队伍和名字。

The drama was superb with some classic games many of us will remember the great teams and names.

Speaker 0

英格兰队有史蒂夫、托尼·梅奥和托尼·诺尔斯,有些年份还有吉米·怀特。

England, Steve, Tony Mayo and Tony Tony Knowles, some years Jimmy White.

Speaker 0

威尔士队,雷尔登、格里菲斯和芒特乔伊,这个三人组让人难忘。

Wales, the unforgettable trio of Reardon Griffiths and Mountjoy.

Speaker 0

爱尔兰队,同样让人难忘,有亚历克斯、丹尼斯和尤金·休斯。

Ireland, unforgettable again, Alex Dennis and Eugene Hughes.

Speaker 0

苏格兰队,虽然没那么出名,但我记得……

Scotland, less memorable, but I remember...

Speaker 0

我们说的是默多克·麦克劳德和伊恩·布朗。

We say Murder Macleod and Ian Brown.

Speaker 0

是伊恩·布莱克。

It was Ian Black.

Speaker 0

伊恩·布朗是石玫瑰乐队的那位。

Ian Brown is the is the guy from the Stone Roses.

Speaker 0

他没参与。

He wasn't involved.

Speaker 0

加拿大,太棒了。

Canada, just brilliant.

Speaker 0

索伯恩、柯克和大比尔。

Thorburn Kirk and big Bill.

Speaker 0

澳大利亚,稳如泰山的埃迪。

Australia, Steady Eddie.

Speaker 0

约翰·坎贝尔和沃伦·金,还有世界其他地区的西尔维奥·弗朗西斯科、托尼·德拉戈和迪诺·凯恩。

John Campbell and Warren King, the rest of the world, Silvio Francisco, Tony Drago, and Dino Kane.

Speaker 0

要是能恢复这项赛事,那真是太棒了。

It would be amazing to see this tournament reinstated.

Speaker 0

我们可能需要中国队A队、B队和C队。

We may need China A B And C Teams.

Speaker 0

我希望巴里·赫恩和WST能促成这件事。

I hope Barry Hearn, WST matroom can do this.

Speaker 0

我很想听听你们的想法和回忆。

I would love to hear your thoughts and memories.

Speaker 0

我同意你的看法,也许现在斯诺克世界杯或者亨德森杯,让英国队对阵中国队,可能是更好的选择。

I do agree with you maybe now the snooker rider or Henderson Cup with team GB versus China, maybe the better option.

Speaker 0

对我来说,这完全是不用想的事情。

It seems a complete no brainer to me.

Speaker 0

我确信这很容易找到赞助商,并且会在全球引起广泛关注。

I'm sure it would get easily get sponsors and a lot of interest worldwide.

Speaker 0

嗯,你刚才提到的最后一点是,你知道,像所有这类事情一样,这取决于能否找到赞助商和商业兴趣。

Well, mean the latter point you bear there is that you know, it would depend like all these things on getting sponsors and getting commercial interest.

Speaker 0

另一个真正的问题是,我确实希望看到世界杯,我希望每队有三名球员参加世界杯,并且尽可能多的国家参与,但你确实需要球员们愿意参与进来。

The other problem really with it is, and I would like to see a World Cup, I would like to see three players per team in a World Cup and as many countries as we can get, but you do need the players to buy into it.

Speaker 0

而且有意思的是,往往就是英格兰队,好像总是不能把排名最高的那些球员都凑齐。

And for example, I mean, it tends to be ironically, the England team, which seems always to not quite be as sort of full of the top ranked players as it could be.

Speaker 0

马克·威廉姆斯通常会代表威尔士出战,马克·艾伦代表北爱尔兰,约翰·希金斯代表苏格兰,但你需要所有顶尖球员都承诺参加,而要做到这一点,我想奖金得够高,所以这自然就让这项赛事更难启动。

Mark Williams normally turns up for Wales, Mark Allen turns out for Northern Ireland, John Higgins for Scotland, but you need all the top players to commit to it, and to do that, I guess you need the prize money to be big, so that makes it automatically a kind of harder event to get going.

Speaker 0

不过,我觉得每个运动确实都需要一个世界杯。

But yeah, I think every sport really needs a World Cup.

Speaker 0

斯诺克是个人项目,这点没法否认,但世界杯能给一项运动带来关注度,不过我觉得形式得对,我记得他们重新举办的时候,是每队两名球员,而且赛制挺复杂的……

Snooker's an individual game, there's no getting away from that, but the World Cup brings attention to a sport, think, but I think it has to be the right format, I think that when they brought it back, they'd had two players in a team and quite a tough sort of...

Speaker 0

很难完全搞清楚具体是怎么运作的。

It's quite hard to follow exactly how it all worked.

Speaker 0

我觉得效果不太好。

It wasn't great, don't think.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得如果要重新举办,形式得合适。

So I think if if you're gonna bring it back, you need the right format.

Speaker 0

说实话,你提到的八十年代那种老形式,我觉得还行。

To be honest, the old format you mentioned in the eighties was kind of alright, think.

Speaker 0

九局五胜制。

Best in nines.

Speaker 0

当然,他们在1996年泰国曼谷又重新举办了这项赛事。

They brought it back, of course, in 1996 in Bangkok, Thailand.

Speaker 0

那次的比赛时间更长,参赛队伍也更多。

The matches were longer there, there are more teams.

Speaker 0

那届赛事办得确实不错,但亏损了很多钱。

That was a really good event, but it lost a lot of money.

Speaker 0

所以后来就没再办了。

Hence, it wasn't on again.

Speaker 0

所以这就是个平衡问题,对吧?

So that's the balance, isn't it?

Speaker 0

所有这些好主意听起来都不错,但必须得在商业上可行,这就回到我之前说的关于世锦赛替代场地的问题。

With all these things, you know, good ideas are good to hear, but they have to work commercially, and we go back to what I was saying about the the world championship replacement venue.

Speaker 0

它必须在商业上可行,就这么简单。

It needs to work commercially, simple as that.

Speaker 0

不过,还是谢谢你的分享。

But anyway, thank you for that.

Speaker 0

那我们就先聊到这里,不过不是永远结束,只是暂时告一段落。

Now we're gonna end there for now, but not for now, we're gonna end there.

Speaker 0

我们下周还会回来。

But we will be back next week.

Speaker 0

说实话,这期节目算不上特别精彩,但不管怎样,我们知道我们已经……

It's not been, you know, an award winning episode, I think it's fair to say, but anyway, we we know we've...

Speaker 0

我算是履行了自己对自己的承诺,把这一期发出来了。

I've fulfilled my contractual obligation to myself by putting it out.

Speaker 0

北爱尔兰公开赛周日就要开始了,我相信那会是精彩的一周。

Northern Ireland Open starts on Sunday, and it's gonna be a great week, I'm sure.

Speaker 0

要想超越去年可不容易,去年杰克·利索夫斯基在决赛中击败了贾德·特鲁姆普,当时场面非常激动人心。

I mean, it's gonna go some to beat last year when obviously Jack Lesowski beat Jud Trump in that final and all the emotion that came from it.

Speaker 0

不过他们有过很多精彩的决赛,比如第一届,马克·金对阵巴里·霍金斯,那场比赛虽然不在海滨场馆举行,但确实是在贝尔法斯特。

But they've had some great finals, I mean the first one, obviously Mark King and Barry Hawkins, it wasn't at the waterfront, but it was in Belfast.

Speaker 0

那些和贾德·特鲁姆普、罗尼·奥沙利文的较量,还有马克·艾伦和约翰·希金斯的决赛,都太精彩了。

All those battles with Jud Trump and Ronnie O'Sullivan, the Mark Allen, John Higgins final was terrific.

Speaker 0

可能你知道,这有点像是自我实现的预言,你去到一个真正好的场馆,就会看到非常戏剧性、非常精彩的比赛,而水滨大厅绝对是巡回赛上最好的场馆之一,所以我相信如果你去的话,你会享受其中的,而且你会告诉我们你的观赛体验,邮箱是snookerscenepodcast@mail.com,就是snookerscenepodcast@mail.com,但现在,嗯……

It may be that you know, it's sort of self fulfilling in a way, you go to a really good venue and you get really dramatic and good matches, and the Waterfront is certainly one of the best venues on the circuit, so I'm sure if you're going, you'll enjoy it and you'll let us know how your trip was, snookerscenepodcast@mail.com is the address, that's snookerscenepodcast@mail.com, but for now, well, you know, it's...

Speaker 0

借用汤姆·汉克斯通过莎莉·菲尔德说的话,斯诺克播客就像一盒巧克力。

Quote Tom Hanks via Sally Field, thing with snooker podcasts is they're like boxes of chocolates.

Speaker 0

你永远不知道你会得到什么。

You never know what you're gonna get.

Speaker 0

除了这个播客,你完全知道会得到什么,而且下周我们还会带来更多,就像我们常说的,再见,拜拜。

Apart from this one, where where you know exactly what you're gonna get, and we'll get more of it next week as we say, as always, goodbye bye.
