Speaker 1

大家好,欢迎收听菲爾·奧凱恩和尼克·麥卡爾菲再次帶來的斯諾克談話節目,我們今天又要聊聊大家都愛的這項運動。

Hello, and welcome to a new episode of talking snooker with Phil O'Kane and Nick Metcalfe once again talking about the game we all love.

Speaker 2

我們確實是。

We are.

Speaker 2

我今天週一晚上過來,我知道我們三個都因為昨晚熬夜看足球而有點沒睡夠。

I'm here on Monday night, and, I know the three of us here are struggling a little bit with having stayed up late watching the football last night.

Speaker 2

當然,有些聽眾可能也和我們一樣,但我們都覺得,熬夜看球完全值得。

Sure a few of the people listening will be in the same boat, but we've all agreed it was well worth it.

Speaker 1

我睡覺的時候,尼克·歐文和安·迪亞蒙德還在直播呢,菲爾。

Nick Owen and Anne Diamond were going on the air when I when I went to bed, Phil.

Speaker 1

那時候已經這麼晚了。

That's how late it was.

Speaker 1

簡直太離譜了。

Absolutely ridiculous.

Speaker 1

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那真是个精彩的夜晚。

But hell of a night.

Speaker 1

对

Yeah.

Speaker 1

英格兰对墨西哥。

England, Mexico.

Speaker 1

我的意思是你也知道,我之前已经跟你说过我的看法了,但我觉得英格兰遇到的那些困难可能被夸大了。

I mean, we you know, I've had my say to to you too already here, but I think that maybe some of the challenges were overblown that England faced.

Speaker 1

不过,这真是一场精彩的胜利。

However, what a victory.

Speaker 1

我们稍后再聊世界杯。

We'll talk World Cup later.

Speaker 1

这事儿现在可真是占满所有话题了,对吧,菲尔?

It's taken over, hasn't it, Phil?

Speaker 1

我们总是这样,不过我觉得你在谈到作息规律时已经点到了关键。

We it's always going to, but I think you made the point in your table service with the sleep patterns.

Speaker 1

这种感觉可能比以往任何世界杯或赛事都更强烈,因为比赛实在太晚了,我们整个人都被裹挟其中。

It maybe even feels more enveloping than other World Cups and other tournaments, because it's so bloody late, and we're all over the place.

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

我觉得你说得对。

I think that's right.

Speaker 2

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

即使你没在看比赛,它也一直在影响你,因为你半夜看得太投入了,整个人都被掏空了。

It's sort of affecting you all the time even when you're not watching it because you've been so walloped by it when watching it so late in the night.

Speaker 2

比赛越深入,自然就越让人欲罢不能。

And the the deeper it goes, obviously, the the game has become unmissable.

Speaker 2

我对自己还算有节制,没看太多。

I've been reasonably disciplined with it, not watching too much.

Speaker 2

但比赛越重要,就越难忍住不看。

But the more important they get, the harder they are to turn it down.

Speaker 1

说得真到位。

Good way of saying it.

Speaker 1

顺便澄清一下,虽然有几场是凌晨一点开球,但总体来说,英国这边接下来的比赛时间好多了,基本都在黄金时段,晚上九点、十点开踢。

And just to clarify, there is a couple of sort of one AMs, but generally much better times in The UK going forward now, much more sort of prime time, nine 9PM, 10:00 game.

Speaker 1

你可能以为,我打开电视是为了聊足球。

You're probably thinking, well, I'm tuning in for talking football.

Speaker 1

可我实际上一直在聊斯诺克。

I've truly been talking snooker.

Speaker 1

咱们赶紧开始吧,菲尔,今天我们夏天的第一位嘉宾来了,对吧?

Let's get on with it, Phil, and say we have our first guest of the summer, don't we?

Speaker 1

我们非常高兴能有这位嘉宾。

And we are delighted about it.

Speaker 1

本期节目我们邀请了一位新晋巡回赛选手,他在五月通过资格赛晋级,那是他第十四次尝试,他曾称那是‘世界上最糟糕的赛事’。

We are joined in this new episode by a player new on tour, who in May won through Q School a tournament he called the worst in the world on his fourteenth time of trying.

Speaker 1

他已经在2026到2027赛季的巡回赛中赢过一场,我们非常期待听听他对本赛季以及未来几年的展望。

He's already won a match on tour in this twenty twenty six, twenty seven season, and we are very much looking forward to hearing about his hopes for this campaign and the years to come.

Speaker 1

菲尔·奥凯恩现在正在《斯诺克闲谈》节目中。

Phil O'Kane is with us on Talking at Snooker.

Speaker 1

菲尔,见到你真好。

Phil, it's great to see you.

Speaker 1

你最近怎么样?

How are you?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

挺好。

Good.

Speaker 0

谢谢。

Cheers.

Speaker 0

谢谢大家,各位观众。

Cheers, family, guys.

Speaker 0

我本来没想到这么快就能站在这里做这些事,不过我想你们也得慢慢适应吧?

Didn't feel I'd be doing stuff like this as soon as I am, but I'm sure you've gotta get used to it, aren't you?

Speaker 1

没错。

Absolutely.

Speaker 1

这正是你表现这么出色后带来的连锁反应。

And that's part of the spin offs of of doing so well.

Speaker 1

我们有很多细节想跟你聊聊,特别是你在Q学校那段经历,还有你成功晋级的精彩过程。

Listen, we got lots to talk to you about in detail about that journey in Q School and the brilliance of getting through it.

Speaker 1

不过在那之前,我想先问你一个直接点的问题。

But just a big one straight straight off the cuff for you.

Speaker 1

你在对阵杰米·奥尼尔的比赛中赢得胜利,成功拿到巡回赛资格,那一刻你心里是什么感觉?大家总说球员赢了会感到喜悦和解脱,但我不会替你下定义。

You were completing that victory against Jamie O'Neil, getting yourself on the tour, tell us about your emotions in that moment and just someone's hear about players about joy and relief, but I won't put words in your mouth.

Speaker 1

你来跟我们说说吧。

You tell us.

Speaker 1

当时是什么感受,先生?

How did it feel, sir?

Speaker 0

根本没法形容那种感觉。

Can't even begin to describe the emotion.

Speaker 0

就是各种情绪混在一起。

It was just was just a mix.

Speaker 0

我哭了。

I was crying.

Speaker 0

整个人都快崩溃了。

I was overwhelmed.

Speaker 0

如释重负。

I was relieved.

Speaker 0

兴奋得不得了。

I was buzzing.

Speaker 0

我其实特别怕输,毕竟最后一局我是在3比1领先的情况下赢了50分。

Every I was scared about losing, like, because I think I won 50 in the last frame at three one.

Speaker 0

我知道自己做到了,而且已经拿到赛点。

I know I've done it, and I'm on match ball.

Speaker 0

我眼睛里全是泪水。

I've got tears in my eyes.

Speaker 0

我都看不清会不会打丢了。

I can't even see if I'll miss it.

Speaker 0

接着我就怕从那儿输掉,到那时候,只想着别跨过那条线了。

Then I'm panicking about losing from there, and then it's just about falling over the line at that point.

Speaker 0

说实话,我为这场胜利付出了不少努力。

I mean, I've actually paid pretty good to win.

Speaker 0

但说实话,这绝对是我在比赛中体验过最棒的感觉。

But, yeah, I mean, it was just the best feeling I've ever had in a match by far.

Speaker 0

然后你得马上让自己冷静下来。

And then it's all you gotta then bring yourself down so quick.

Speaker 0

就连那天也是,因为很明显,前一天打了两场比赛。

Even that day, because, obviously, is it the day before is the two matches.

Speaker 2

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 2

而且

And

Speaker 0

我一挺过去,就知道这是最后一场比赛了。

I feel like once I got through them, I knew I had my last match.

Speaker 0

那天晚上我根本睡不着。

I couldn't sleep at all that night.

Speaker 0

第二天整个人都垮了。

I was shattered the next day.

Speaker 0

所以你完全是靠肾上腺素在撑着。

So you're playing on just pure adrenaline.

Speaker 0

但说真的,能挺过来,对你来说意义重大,对吧?

But, I mean, to get through, yeah, it's just it means the world to you, didn't it?

Speaker 0

我们打了这么多年,就是为了这一刻,能坚持下来,不崩盘。

So we played the game for all these years for and to actually finally do it and not crumble.

Speaker 0

这才是最棒的部分。

That was the best bit.

Speaker 0

你根本不知道自己会有什么反应。

You don't know how you're gonna react.

Speaker 0

我本来很容易就崩溃,彻底垮掉的。

I I could have easily gone out and just fell to pieces.

Speaker 0

这是我这辈子最后一次打进决赛轮。

It's the last time I've ever got to the last round.

Speaker 0

之前我好几次都打到了倒数第二轮。

I've been to the second to last a few times.

Speaker 0

但这次打进决赛轮,我真不确定自己是会垮掉,还是会顶住。

But getting to the last round, I didn't know if I would crumble or rise to it.

Speaker 0

幸运的是,我顶住了,发挥得不错。

And, luckily, I rose to it and played good.

Speaker 0

我赢下了一局关键的10比0,这让我稳住了心态。

I've bought a massive frame to go one nil, and that's what helped me settle.

Speaker 0

我当时可能还落后50分,但打出了一个超棒的单局,反以10比0领先。

I think I was 50 or down or something, and I've played a great frame to go one nil up.

Speaker 0

然后你就稳住了,压力就慢慢转移到对手那边了,对吧?

And you just settle, and then the pressure kinda goes in your opponent, didn't you?

Speaker 0

是不是这样?

Didn't it?

Speaker 2

但他对手的经验比他丰富多了,所以我也说不准当时的赔率会怎样。

But he he was playing someone who had a lot more experience as well, so I don't know what the odds would have been.

Speaker 2

我真的不清楚。

I don't know.

Speaker 2

他可能才是被看好的那一方。

He might have been favorite.

Speaker 0

但他当时就是这么跟他说的。

But Oh, he was telling him like that.

Speaker 0

我早上随便看了一眼,纯粹是出于好奇。

I had a little look in the morning, just out of curiosity.

Speaker 0

当然,我不是真想下注。

Obviously, not to bet myself.

Speaker 0

不过,我确实看了眼,觉得他其实是大热门。

But, yeah, I had a little look, and I think he was it he was quite a heavy favorite, actually.

Speaker 2

他状态怎么样?

How was he?

Speaker 0

基本上我打的每场比赛,我都是第二热门。

But I think I was second favorite in basically every game I played.

Speaker 0

那一年我状态特别差,就赢了一场球。

So I think I had a really bad year that year, and I won, like, one match.

Speaker 0

所以我一点都不怪他。

So, I mean, I don't blame him.

Speaker 0

我觉得Q学校的情况不一样。

I feel like with Q School, it's different.

Speaker 0

那里的训练方式跟全年其他比赛都不一样。

You practice differently than you do all year round.

Speaker 0

那场比赛我状态比打所有Q巡回赛时都要好。

I was a lot sharper for that event than I was playing in all the Q tours.

Speaker 0

是的。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

我个人不会觉得自己在所有比赛中都是第二热门,但博彩公司显然只看比赛结果来下注。

So I wouldn't I wouldn't put myself down as second favorite for all them games personally, but, obviously, the bookies only go for what they see in the results wise.

Speaker 2

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

你在第二场比赛0比3落后时,肯定还是第二热门。

And and you definitely would have been a second favorite three nil down in your second match.

Speaker 2

但当你从0比3落后连追四局逆转时,那时候你有没有开始觉得,也许轮到我了?

But when when you're winning four three from three nil down, is there something that even at that point you start to think, well, it could be my time?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那是我第一次有这样的感觉。

That that was the first time.

Speaker 0

我和扎克关系特别好,几乎是最好的朋友。

Because me and Zach, like, we're, like, best mates.

Speaker 0

我们由同一个人赞助。

We're sponsored by the same person.

Speaker 0

我们每周都一起训练。

We practice together every week.

Speaker 0

我们每天都会联系。

We speak every day.

Speaker 0

就连比赛前,我们也没做任何改变。

It's like even going into it, we didn't really change anything.

Speaker 0

我们还是像往常一样随时都在交流。

We still talk talk all the time.

Speaker 0

我一度以零比三落后,以为自己完了。

I I was three nil down, and I was gone.

Speaker 0

当时我的新赞助商特地来看了那场比赛。

I my new sponsor at the time come up watch that match.

Speaker 0

结果那场球,赞助商给我的战术安排出了问题。

Like, so it was the firm gave me the botched play.

Speaker 0

我当时三比零落后。

I was three nil down.

Speaker 0

我当时想,干脆我自己来赞助吧。

I thinking, I'm gonna just sponsor it.

Speaker 0

我退出了。

I'm out.

Speaker 0

我还有第二场比赛。

I've got a second event.

Speaker 0

我该不该今晚就开车回家呢?

Like, do I go do I drive home tonight?

Speaker 0

后来我三比一领先,就稍微放松了一点手臂。

And then, yeah, I've gone I've gone three one, and then I'll just let my arm go a little bit.

Speaker 0

到了三比零的时候,我其实从来没输过最后一局。

And then I'll kinda at three o, I've I was never losing that last frame.

Speaker 0

看起来我表现得不错,但说实话,我根本没控制住。

Just so I looked well, I just didn't control it, to be honest.

Speaker 0

赢下那场4比3的比赛后,我就觉得自己有戏了。

And then, yeah, I think after I won that match four three, I kind of I fancied the job after that.

Speaker 2

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

那确实是一场关键的比赛。

So, yeah, that was that was a big one.

Speaker 2

那是扎克·理查德森。

That's Zach Richardson.

Speaker 2

他是个非常出色的选手,对吧?

He was a very good player, isn't he?

Speaker 2

无论什么时候打这场,都不容易。

That that's a tough match at any point.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

很显然,第二轮的时候,我们知道双方都得先赢球,因为当时我们都在盯着乔丹。

Obviously, second round of because we knew we was like we looked at Jordan.

Speaker 0

我觉得我当时是被安排去打他没遇到的那个人。

I think I was seeded for who he wasn't.

Speaker 0

所以他得赢两场才能碰到我。

So I think he has to win two matches to get to me.

Speaker 0

而我只需要赢一场就能遇上他。

I had to win one match to get to him.

Speaker 0

所以我们当时都说,别太早指望能碰上,毕竟两人都还得继续赢下去。

So we was like, don't count the chickens that we could we're playing each other yet because we both still gotta win.

Speaker 0

但真打到一块儿的时候,那场面可真够糟的。

But then when we got each other, yeah, it was horrible.

Speaker 0

我当时已经连输三局了。

I mean, I was three nil down.

Speaker 0

那时候他看起来好像有点过意不去,等比赛结束,反倒是我觉得挺对不起他的。

And it kinda looked like he felt bad at that point, and then afterwards, I felt bad.

Speaker 0

我赢了。

I won.

Speaker 0

但你打比赛,其实是为了自己的职业生涯,对吧?

But you so you're playing for your own career, isn't you?

Speaker 0

是的。

Mhmm.

Speaker 2

你刚才提到赞助商那段,正好生动地说明了实际情况。

And that that sort of what you just said there about the sponsor, that sort of is a great illustration of what it's like.

Speaker 2

你们要么在职业赛的底层挣扎,要么就在业余赛的顶尖水平徘徊。

You guys either you're playing sort of the the lower reaches of the pro game or the top of the amateur game.

Speaker 2

你们脑子里想的那些事——比如担心失去赞助商——观众在电视上看顶尖选手时根本不会考虑这些。

Things you got going through your head, which, you know, when people are watching the top boys on TV, they're not worried about losing a sponsor.

Speaker 2

他们只是第一次来看比赛而已。

It's just coming to see them for the first time.

Speaker 2

有太多额外的压力,让本就艰难的比赛变得更加不易。

There's so much going on, which makes a really hard game even harder.

Speaker 0

这很明显。

Obviously, yeah.

Speaker 0

首先他赞助我,这事儿再清楚不过了。

Like, obviously, the first thought he sponsored me in.

Speaker 0

他第一次看我打球,当时我正以三比五落后。

Car's watching me for the first time, on three and a half.

Speaker 0

但到四比五的时候,情况可真不怎么样,对吧?

But just four and a half, it don't look great, does it?

Speaker 0

杰克的实力,还有整个比赛带来的压力,这些都得考虑。

How Jack is or how good he is and even the pressures of the whole tournament.

Speaker 0

但要是能赢下这场四比三的对决,那就更能说明问题了。

But, obviously, to win that then for four three kinda showed probably had a bit more about me.

Speaker 0

连我自己都看到了自己的变化。

And even myself, I showed myself.

Speaker 0

这是我头一回在连输三局的情况下逆转赢下比赛。

It's the first time I've ever won a match for three nil down ever.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那一个星期半里发生了太多事,每一件都在告诉我,我已经准备好了,属于我的时刻到了。

I feel like so many things happened in that week and a half that just kept proving to myself that I was ready and it was my time.

Speaker 0

当时比分是二比二,对吧?

Even at, when was it, I was two all against was it two?

Speaker 0

对阵丹·温默斯利的时候?

Against Dan Wimersley?

Speaker 0

我上场后,不知道为什么,脑子里就冒出一句话:这是我的时刻。

And I've come out, and I don't know what stuck in my head, but I just said to myself, it's my time.

Speaker 0

这感觉挺奇怪的。

And it's weird.

Speaker 0

我当时和他们在一起。

Like, I was with them.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得那时候我应该已经领先十六分了。

And to be honest, I felt like I should have been 16 up at that point.

Speaker 0

我觉得我扔掉了好几帧。

I think I chucked away, like, a couple of frames.

Speaker 0

那场比赛我明明处于绝对劣势,却反而特别兴奋,心里就一个念头:千万别输。

And it was a match where I felt like I was in complete trouble, and I was thrilled thinking, just don't lose this.

Speaker 0

而且,我觉得我最后一杆打得不错。

And, again, I think I've made a good break in the last.

Speaker 0

但我一直用行动证明,自己有韧劲、有决心,在关键时候顶得住。

But I kept proving that I had grit and determination, like, very good bottle at massive points.

Speaker 0

整个比赛的关键时刻,我都发挥得非常好,这显然最重要。

I played really well throughout at massive points in the tournament, which is obviously the most important thing.

Speaker 0

可谁在领先一局、两局、三局的时候都能打得好。

But anyone could play well when you're one and up, two and up, three and up.

Speaker 0

但我是落后的时候也能打出高水平,比如三比二落后时照样打得漂亮,二比三落后时也能拉开比分。

But I was doing it, like, three o's playing really good, two o's pulling away playing really good.

Speaker 0

就连对坎迪的时候,我也曾三比二领先。

Even against Cundy, I've gone three two up.

Speaker 0

我卖了大概一美元三美分,还有两块七毛。

I've had $1.03 $2.70 in sales, I think.

Speaker 0

它们都特别棒。

They're really good.

Speaker 0

最后他领先四十多分,我却清台拿了五十分赢下。

And then he's 40 odd up in the last, and I've cleared up with 50 to win.

Speaker 0

就像我跟大家说的,那杆五十分的清台,虽然从落后四十分开始,但比那一杆三十的还要精彩。

And, like, that like I said to everyone, was like, that 50 yard well, it might have been 40 yard in the last frame from 40 yard down was a better break than the one thirty.

Speaker 0

之前我打了几杆不错的球。

I had, like, a couple of frames before.

Speaker 0

我都在想,这怎么可能?

And it was like, how is that possible?

Speaker 0

但关键是,我能打进最后一轮,这可是我以前从来没到过的地方。

But, like, obviously, what it meant to get to the last round and, like, obviously, a place where I've never been before.

Speaker 0

不过,确实,就是这样。

But, yeah, like, that yeah.

Speaker 0

说实话,这可能是我打过最棒的一杆了。

That's the best break I've probably ever made, to be honest.

Speaker 1

让我觉得有意思的是,这些细节你到现在还记得这么清楚。

Well, it's interesting to me how much of it is still in your mind.

Speaker 1

这确实是斯诺克比赛的经典场面。

I mean, that's the classic snooker plays.

Speaker 1

你对每一局都记得很清楚。

You remember each frame quite well there.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,

Mean,

Speaker 1

你说‘放松’的时候,我大概明白字面上的意思,但作为非职业选手,我真不太能体会那种感觉。

what what does it mean when I mean, I I know what it means sort of in a sort of, you know, intelligent sense, but not being a snooker player, I can't quite get to grips with it.

Speaker 1

你提到,当你以0比3落后时,那种感觉会让你放松下来。

You say it frees you up when you're three nil down.

Speaker 1

这到底是怎么自我放大的?

How does that actually amplify itself?

Speaker 1

你击球时是不是动作更快了?

Are you are you taking a bit quicker over shots?

Speaker 1

你是不是看得更清楚了?

Are you seeing shots a bit clearer?

Speaker 1

到底发生了什么?

What's happening?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

以前只要三比零落后,我就直接放弃了。

Like, I feel like three nil down before I've just always gave up.

Speaker 0

我觉得我当时对扎克打的时候,也还是在放弃。

And I feel I feel like I did give I was giving up against Zach.

Speaker 0

三比零落后打扎克的时候,我都已经没劲了,只想回家。

Like, against Zach at three nil down, I I was out, and I I was ready to go home.

Speaker 0

说实话,我当时都打算去最近的酒吧了。

I was ready to go to the nearest pub, to be honest.

Speaker 0

但后来我开始比以前多打了一些球。

But then I've just started taking to a few more than I probably was.

Speaker 0

你知道,在Q学校,大家都是花钱来避免输,而不是为了赢。

You know, like, in Q School, everyone pays to not lose rather than to win.

Speaker 0

我只是把怒气释放出来了。

And I've just let my anger.

Speaker 0

只要是能看到的球,我都全力去打,结果球就开始一个个进洞了。

I just I've gone for probably every single ball I could see, and they just started going in.

Speaker 0

以前你打得保守,生怕给对手机会,但我那时候突然觉得机会来了,就一心想着得分,结果真就打进了。

And then whereas before, you're playing more conservative, trying not to give chance away, whereas I just started I thought I was getting them open, just trying to score, and I did.

Speaker 0

而且,那之后,我觉得那种状态一直影响了我接下来整个比赛的打法。

And, yeah, and then even after that, then you I feel like that shaped the way I played throughout the rest of the event.

Speaker 0

所以我后来更敢出手了,整个比赛都朝着赢的方向去打。

So I did throw out my arm a little bit more and played more to win throughout.

Speaker 0

也许是因为我对自己更有信心了,更相信自己了,也可能是我意识到,这样打能给对手施压,主动掌控局面,而不是害怕输球。

Maybe because I had more faith in myself, more belief, maybe because I realized that way you could put people under pressure and try and dominate rather than being scared to lose.

Speaker 1

这真的很有道理。

That makes an awful lot of sense.

Speaker 1

像我和菲尔这样在场边的人,常常说我们其实并不轻率地谈论这些。

I mean, people like me and Phil on the sort of sidelines, we often say we don't really glibly.

Speaker 1

我们总说这运动很大程度上是心理战,而你刚才已经很好地证明了这一点。

We say so much of this game's in the head, but you've already sort of exemplified here just how much it is.

Speaker 1

大家的技术其实都不错。

You could all play.

Speaker 1

这显而易见。

That's obvious.

Speaker 1

而且你们每个人水平都很高。

And you all play very well.

Speaker 1

但在这种关键的时刻,到底需要多强的心理素质才能撑得住呢?

But how much do you need to have upstairs on on days and nights like that?

Speaker 0

菲尔,今年我身边整个团队都换新了。

Phil, like, I this year, especially, I've got a whole new team around me.

Speaker 0

我换了新俱乐部,也换了新教练。

Like, I've started playing a different club, different manager.

Speaker 0

赞助商也全变了。

I've got different sponsors.

Speaker 0

身边每个人都真心支持我。

And everyone that just like, they believe in you.

Speaker 0

就连他们跟我说的话,都让我渐渐信了。

And then even them telling you stuff makes you then believe it.

Speaker 0

就算我自己还不太相信,听他们这么说,也会让我多信一点。

Even if you don't believe it yourself, hearing it is always gonna make you believe it a little bit more.

Speaker 0

我觉得,这就是今年最大的不同。

I thought that's the difference this year.

Speaker 0

我身边有一整支新团队,他们真的相信我,也知道我能做到。

Like, I had a whole new team around me who did genuinely believe in me and knew I could do it.

Speaker 0

光是听到他们这么说,我就开始多了一点信心,不像以前一个人待着的时候,可能压根儿就不信。

And even just by hearing them say it, I started to believe it a little bit more rather than when I'd probably never done it before when I was just by myself.

Speaker 0

就像我说的,这比赛太考验心态了,有时候你击球的时候,状态一差就可能输掉。

Because like I said, it is so mental, and you can lose when you can go out there sometimes when you hit the ball.

Speaker 1

你说的是红山那家俱乐部吧?

That that's the club in Red Hill, isn't it?

Speaker 1

你那个

That you

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以这地方对你来说

So it's a bit

Speaker 1

挺特别的,对吧?

of a place for you, isn't it?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

那里的老板奈杰尔·史密斯,做的事情远远超出了你能想象的范围。

So the owner there, Nigel Smith, he's, like, done more than what you could ever wish to imagine.

Speaker 0

另一个老板迈克尔·霍普,现在也是我最好的朋友之一。

Even the other owner, Michael Hope, like, he's, like, one of my best mates now.

Speaker 0

他可是台球界的顶尖高手。

Like, he's an ultimate pool professional.

Speaker 0

他深度参与这项运动,完全明白当一名选手是什么感觉。

So he's, like, involved in the game, he understands what it go what it's like to be a player.

Speaker 0

所以我每天都跟他聊天。

So, like, I speak to him daily as well.

Speaker 0

就是个能让你把所有烦恼倒出来的人。

Just just someone just to load off all your troubles on.

Speaker 0

尤其是像他这样在圈子里的人——我知道保罗不一样,但他也懂当选手的滋味。

And then especially someone like this in the game not also, I know Paul's different, but he understands what it's like to be a player.

Speaker 0

他不仅能帮你解决问题,更重要的是,他能让你把心里的负担彻底卸下来。

And he can, like, just not even help you out, but just someone to offload to and just get what's on your chest off.

Speaker 0

这很有帮助。

That helps.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,那些俱乐部对我来说真的太棒了。

I mean, the clubs, yeah, it's amazing for me.

Speaker 0

他们提供我的球桌,还负担我的球衣费用。

They put my table in, pay for it, pay for my cloths.

Speaker 0

我一直确保自己拥有最完美的训练条件。

I made sure I have perfect conditions all the time.

Speaker 0

不过,确实,尼格尔还为我支付教练费用。

But, yeah, they just been like Nigel pays for my coaching.

Speaker 0

他确实是这一切中非常重要的一部分。

He's, yeah, he's he's a massive part of this.

Speaker 1

听到这些真是太好了。

Well, that's brilliant to hear.

Speaker 1

这些正是你们需要的东西,听到你有这么棒的团队,我真的替你高兴。

And you those are the sort of things you guys need, and, you know, I'm glad to hear you've got such a good team around you.

Speaker 1

我们待会儿再聊Q学校的事,不过首先能不能回头看看你的早期经历?谈谈你刚开始打斯诺克的时候。

I I think we will talk more about Q School, but also first go back down sort of memory lane a bit, if that's alright, talk about your sort of early days.

Speaker 1

你爸爸在你接触斯诺克、乃至整个职业生涯中,都起到了至关重要的作用。

Your dad was a massive part of of of getting you into snooker and your journey full stop.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我爸爸以前经常打台球,不过只是打联赛级别的那种。

So, yeah, my dad used to play a lot of pool, like, only league pool.

Speaker 0

我记得他打斯诺克的最高单杆是86分。

I think his highest break at snooker was 86.

Speaker 0

他真的很喜欢斯诺克。

Like, he loved the he loved snooker.

Speaker 0

我爷爷也是,我爸爸是受他影响才开始打的,有意思的是,他们俩的最高单杆都是86分。

But my granddad as well, like so my dad got into it from my granddad, and both of their highest rates were 86, actually, funny enough.

Speaker 0

但小时候,我打到84分的时候,就觉得挺厉害了。

But growing up, like, when I made eight like, I used to make 84, was like, yeah.

Speaker 0

我最高的单杆是86分。

My highest break is 86.

Speaker 0

我说我打到90分的时候,我爷爷突然说,他最高纪录是92分。

When I said about I made 90, my granddad, all of a sudden, his highest grade was 92.

Speaker 0

但我一直等到第一次打出100分,他才又说回86分。

But I kept until I made until I made my first 100, then it went back to 86.

Speaker 0

不过,确实如此,

But, yeah, like,

Speaker 1

我爸爸挺聪明的。

my dad Clever.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我第一次打出100分之前,他一直说,对啊。

Until I made the first 100, he was like, yeah.

Speaker 0

我现在可做不了这个了。

I can't do that no more.

Speaker 0

不过说实话,我爸在这件事上特别关键。

But, yeah, like, my dad was a massive part.

Speaker 0

我们以前常去街角的那个社交俱乐部。

Like, we used to go up to the social club around the corner.

Speaker 0

我那时候总去打台球。

I used to play pool.

Speaker 0

说真的,作为一个长辈,有儿子在身边陪着,再合适不过了。

And just obviously, I think as an older man, like, having your son around you, like, it's perfect for that.

Speaker 0

你只要把我带到台球桌旁,给我几英镑,我就来了。

Like, you should shut me on a pool table, give me a few pound.

Speaker 0

他在吧台那边喝点酒。

He would have a few drinks at the bar.

Speaker 0

台球钱我来付。

I'll pay pool.

Speaker 0

每个人都是赢家。

Everyone's a winner.

Speaker 0

而且,对了,楼上还有一张斯诺克球台。

And, yeah, like, he then there's a snook table upstairs.

Speaker 0

他带我上了楼。

He got me upstairs.

Speaker 0

那时候规矩是八局以下才能进。

Like, it was only under over eight innings.

Speaker 0

所以他趁没人注意,偷偷带我进去。

So he sneaked me in when no one was about.

Speaker 0

我小时候打球,水平都快赶上八十年代的高手了。

He's going there like I was making, like, eighties tons when, like, when I was young.

Speaker 0

现在我却被赶出来,因为连打个16分的人都比不过。

I'm getting kicked out of people that can't even make 16.

Speaker 0

我都在想,这怎么搞的?

I'm like, how's this like?

Speaker 0

那种俱乐部当然了。

Obviously, them kind of clubs.

Speaker 0

这不就是规矩嘛。

It's the rules, isn't it?

Speaker 0

所以是这样。

So yeah.

Speaker 0

我16岁的时候,被选中代表英格兰参赛。

Then I I've got caught up to play for England when I was 16.

Speaker 0

就像我之前在别的采访里说过的那样。

That was like I said I think I said in another interview.

Speaker 0

那是我第一次觉得,我其实还挺有天赋的。

It's the first time I kinda thought, I'm actually alright at this game.

Speaker 0

第一次看到自己真的在进步,而不是一味地埋头苦练,却啥也没得到。

Like, it's the first time I saw progress rather than just knocking, knocking, knocking, doing like, getting nothing out of it.

Speaker 0

那是我在斯诺克上第一次真正感受到回报。

It was the first kind of something I got back out of snooker, suppose.

Speaker 2

那第一次入选英格兰队的时候,你和谁一起打,又和谁对战?

So who was who were you playing with and against in those first England England call up?

Speaker 0

天哪。

Oh, so Jesus.

Speaker 0

那我队里都有谁?

So who's on my team?

Speaker 0

我记得当时好像没什么名人,不过肖恩·奥凯恩确实和我一起在队里。

I think it was like no one has actually Shaun O'Kane Sullivan was there with me, actually.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

萨姆·哈维。

Sam Harvey.

Speaker 0

不知道你认不认识他。

I don't know if you know him.

Speaker 0

他当时和我年纪相仿,球技特别好。

Was a really good player about my age.

Speaker 0

你是和基伦的其中一个好朋友一起打球的。

One of Kyren's good mates of yours.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

天哪。

God.

Speaker 0

那队里还有谁?

Who else on that team?

Speaker 0

我得往前想想。

I'd have to go backwards.

Speaker 0

我记得在苏格兰队的时候,有罗斯·缪尔。

I remember on Scottish team, there was Ross Muir.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

哎呀。

Oh, god.

Speaker 0

就是说

Like,

Speaker 1

没错,太棒了。

my That's a great yeah.

Speaker 2

是啊。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 2

我哥们儿,当然了。

My homie, of course.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就像我说的,那时候我还是个孩子。

Like said, I was a kid.

Speaker 0

我不记得自己是怎么去上班的。

I don't remember going to work.

Speaker 0

我不记得当时住在哪里。

I don't remember where I stayed.

Speaker 0

比如,我父母会提起这件事。

Like, say, my parents would talk about it.

Speaker 0

我不记得那次活动我们住在哪里。

I wouldn't know where we stayed for that event.

Speaker 0

我不记得我们是怎么去那里的。

I don't know how we got up there.

Speaker 0

我只记得领到徽章时,特别兴奋,尤其是那个小小的英格兰徽章。

I just remember getting my badge through and, like, being buzzing on a little England badge.

Speaker 2

然后我猜,我们聊过,你说你第一次参加的是庞顿的那个‘未来之星’活动。

And then I guess oh, we we spoke, and you said you went to Ponton's your first one, that Star of the Future event.

Speaker 2

然后是的。

Then Yeah.

Speaker 2

你就像自己在一个小圈子里慢慢进步,表现不错,突然间就开始接触到更多不同背景的选手。

You're going from, as you say, you're feeling like you're making progress, playing well in your own little bubble almost, and then you're getting exposure to a much wider range of players.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我当时在不停地排阵容,做了好多套,基本都是照着罗尼来的。

I I was doing lineups, making, like, tons of lineups for what I was basically Ronnie.

Speaker 0

后来我去了那儿,一看,哎哟,这新对手可真够劲的。

And then I went up there, and I was like, chuckles to the new fight.

Speaker 0

那群人有麦吉尔、杰克·琼斯、德韦恩·琼斯、杰米·克拉克、基伦。

The group were like, McGill, Jack Jones, Dwayne Jones, Jamie Clark, Kyren.

Speaker 0

我就在那儿点头,嗯。

And I was just like, yeah.

Speaker 0

那整个周末我都没心思去想什么比赛了。

I don't even think I wanna frame all weekend.

Speaker 0

我当时就想,唉,我跟人家差得也太远了。

I was like, oh, maybe that's I'm nowhere near.

Speaker 0

我觉得那件事对我影响挺大的,让我意识到自己得更拼命了,根本没达到该有的水平。

And I I feel like that probably shaped it a little bit because then I kinda realized I had to work harder, and I weren't where I need to be.

Speaker 0

之前我还以为,这事儿肯定挺轻松的。

Whereas before, I thought, oh, it's gonna be easy.

展开剩余字幕(还有 480 条)
Speaker 0

但说到第一次,我离开之后,确实成长了很多,也终于明白必须得下苦功。

But as far as the first time, I thought I will I went away and actually probably matured a lot in that sense and had to realize I had to work hard.

Speaker 2

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

我觉得每个球员迟早都会经历这样的时刻。

Think every player will have that at some point.

Speaker 2

不管处在哪个阶段,每个人都会在某个时候遇到这种醒悟。

Whatever whatever stage it is, someone will have that moment at some stage.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我觉得你得认清现实,看到真相。

Like, I feel like you need to get reality and what it is.

Speaker 0

不然就会陷入不切实际的幻想。

Otherwise, it's gonna be delusional thinking.

Speaker 0

我觉得那之后,我会回来的。

Like, I think after that, I think I'll come back.

Speaker 0

我妈妈对我爸爸说,得给他买张斯诺克球桌。

My mom said to my dad, she was like, we need to get a snooks table for him.

Speaker 0

因为我从小玩的是那种俱乐部球桌,袋口特别大。

Because obviously, I've grown up playing this, like, club table with massive pockets.

Speaker 0

那时候我用的是骑手牌球桌,袋口小得离谱。

I think I was riding aristocrats at the time, and his pockets were tiny.

Speaker 0

我根本没法把球打进袋里。

I couldn't put a ball down the route.

Speaker 0

黑球稍微偏一点,就像只有十分之一的命中率。

A black off spot looked like it was a one in 10.

Speaker 0

我爸妈在花园尽头给我搭了张斯诺克球桌,还给我买了台骑手牌球桌。

And, yeah, my mom and dad managed to build a snooker for me at the bottom of the garden, bought me a riding aristocrat.

Speaker 0

说实话,这两样东西对我来说都太夸张了。

Like, that that that's both massive, to be fair, like, to me.

Speaker 0

这些故事里的细枝末节,你总会慢慢忘掉,尤其是现在,毕竟都过去好多年了,但如果没有那些经历,我根本不可能走到今天打职业巡回赛这一步。

Like, all these little parts of the story, you know, you kind of forget when well, especially now, like, since a million, many years ago, but obviously without all that, there's no way I'll be on tour now.

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

就像你刚才说的,不管是最初带你接触这项运动,还是开车送你去训练、帮你布置球桌,几乎所有斯诺克选手背后都有父母在默默支撑,才让他们的职业生涯成为可能。

And I think whether it's like you said already, just getting you into the game in the first place or it's driving you around or helping you with the table like that, almost all stoop players have a parent behind them just making their career happen at all,

Speaker 1

我想是这样。

I guess.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

其实我在这段经历里,没好好感谢过我妈。早年是我爸带我入门,他为了负担开销,工作特别忙。

Like, I I've not given my mom enough credit actually during all this because I feel like in the early days, my dad got me into it, and then my dad had like, obviously, to fund it, my dad was working a lot.

Speaker 0

我妈则接手了所有出行安排,我那时候到处坐火车。

And my mom kinda took over all the travel side, and I was getting, like, trains everywhere.

Speaker 0

连公交车,我妈也陪我一起坐。

My mom, like, even, like, buses.

Speaker 0

我还存了钱。

I even saved money.

Speaker 0

我经常坐国家快车去利兹和谢菲尔德打比赛。

I was getting National Expresses up to Leeds and Sheffield for Tongmans.

Speaker 0

我妈妈几乎每次都陪我到处跑,现在回想起来,我真没好好感谢她为我做的这一切,所以趁这个机会好好夸夸她。

But, like, yeah, my mom, like, traveled everywhere with me, and I'm probably not giving her enough credit during all this for what she'd done, so it's nice to give her a little shout out.

Speaker 0

不过说真的,我回家那天,她比我还要激动。

But, yeah, like, when I come back, I think she was more emotional than I was when I walked through the door.

Speaker 2

但当你说到那些和奥尼尔对打时涌上心头的复杂情绪时,其实背后还有父母为你做出的各种牺牲,这些你可能根本没细想过。

But but when when you're talking about all those mix of emotions when you're putting those balls against O'Neal, Like, it's all that stuff that you probably hadn't even thought about, like, sacrifices from your parents to come back as well.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

几年前,我其实想过放弃,但我妈不让我这么做。

Like, years ago, like, I wanted to give well, even probably a couple of years ago, I wanted to give up, and my mom wouldn't let me.

Speaker 0

她就说,你这是要干什么?

Like, she's like, what are you doing?

Speaker 0

你们关系有多近?

Like, how close you are?

Speaker 0

明明前途无量,真打算拿普通工资,做份普通工作吗?

Are you gonna go on a normal wage, do a normal job when the world's at your feet, really?

Speaker 0

那时候就觉得,自己离目标太远了。

Then it just feels like you're so far away.

Speaker 0

这事儿真能成吗?所有这些牺牲,值得吗?

Like, is it ever gonna happen, and is it worth all the sacrifices?

Speaker 0

现在我可以肯定地说,值得。

I can confirm now it is.

Speaker 0

但说实话,有时候真觉得这事儿根本不可能,太不现实了。

But, yeah, I mean, at times, it was there's it just seemed like it was never gonna happen or weren't actually realistic.

Speaker 0

后来我开始想,是不是自己太天真了,各种自我怀疑都冒出来了。

And then I started thinking, well, delusional for doing it, like, all these self doubts and stuff.

Speaker 0

但说真的,我所有的付出,每一份牺牲,都值了。

But, yeah, it it was worth every single sacrifice I ever made, to be honest.

Speaker 2

太好了。

Excellent.

Speaker 2

因为这可是好几年的事,对吧?

Because it was it was a fair few years, isn't it?

Speaker 2

后来我们聊到你一度离开台球,但总被拉了回来。

Then we spoke how you you went away for the game a bit, but it kept dragging you back in.

Speaker 2

当你知道一个人真有天赋时,几乎不可能放弃。

And I suppose what do you know when you know that talent is in there, it's almost impossible to give up on it.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你可以去问任何在Q巡回赛级别或者刚转职业的斯诺克选手,

Like, I've I've given up probably ask any snooker player, like, around Q Tour level or, like, new pros.

Speaker 0

我放弃的次数可能比谁都多。

Like, probably gave up more than anyone there is.

Speaker 0

我真的很爱这项运动,同时我也拥有很好的朋友和支持圈。

Like, I love the game, but I've also got a very good friendship growth around me as well.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

我不想放弃。

And I didn't wanna give up.

Speaker 0

我不想失去那段青少年晚期、刚成年时的成长经历,还有真正享受生活的时光。

I didn't wanna lose that growing up as a young adult, late teenager, and actually enjoying life.

Speaker 0

我那时候经常和朋友们出去玩。

Like, I was going out with my mates a lot.

Speaker 0

我常去酒吧看电影,打很多高尔夫,就是单纯地享受生活。

I was going down to pub film, playing a lot of golf, like, just enjoying myself.

Speaker 0

我觉得,那个年纪打斯诺克,皮肤都快磨破了。

And I feel like, yeah, playing snooker, you're skin at that age.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

所以那就是我当时拼命坚持的原因。

So that was where I'm racing.

Speaker 0

所以我放弃了很多东西。

So I gave up a lot.

Speaker 0

我开始那样做之后,看到朋友们都成了职业选手。

I started doing that, and then I see my mates turn a pro.

Speaker 0

我想,好吧。

I think, alright.

Speaker 0

于是我重新开始打球。

And I start playing again.

Speaker 0

然后我又停下来不打了,也不工作了,专心打球。

Then I'll stop play I'll stop working, start playing.

Speaker 0

可每次差一点就能晋级,我都输了。

And then I'd lose a close one to get on or something.

Speaker 0

实在受不了这个打击,只好放弃斯诺克,回去工作。

I couldn't take the pain, and I'd have to you know, I'd give up snooking and start working.

Speaker 0

我就这么反复来回折腾。

I just kept going back and forth.

Speaker 0

我想大概是三四年前,我对自己说,这次再也不放弃了。

I think it was about three, four years ago I said to myself, well, I'm never quitting again.

Speaker 0

我跟自己讲,听着。

And I kinda told myself, look.

Speaker 0

不管发生什么,都别放弃。

Whatever happens, don't quit.

Speaker 0

就一直坚持下去。

Just keep going.

Speaker 0

以前我动不动就放弃一两年,然后不得不重新回来,就像又要从头开始一样。

Because a matter times, I gave up for a year or two, had to come back, then it's like you started again.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我心想,别再给任何人这种机会了。

And I was like, stop giving everyone these advantages.

Speaker 0

就专心努力干吧。

Just work hard.

Speaker 0

最后总会好起来的,幸运的是,确实如此。

Eventually, will happen, and, yeah, thankfully.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我们对此真的特别高兴。

Oh, we're so pleased about that.

Speaker 1

很高兴看到你父母在这儿享受舒适的淋浴,还和卢克聊得这么开心。

I'm so glad your parents are getting a great shower out here and talking to Luke.

Speaker 1

我知道他们一定会全力支持你的故事。

I know they'd be massive for your story.

Speaker 1

不过总的来说,我读了点关于你的资料,除了正面的声音,好像也有不少质疑,对吧?

But just in general terms, you know, doing a bit of reading about you, there were some negative voices, weren't there as well, As well as the positive ones.

Speaker 1

不管从事哪一行,我们谁都遇到过这种情况。

There's the people we've all had this in whatever walk of life we're we're sort of up to really.

Speaker 1

他们总会问,你干嘛还坚持做这个?

You know, they're sort of, well, why are you still doing this?

Speaker 1

当时情况也是这样吗?

Was that kind of the case as well?

Speaker 1

人们确实有点怀疑你。

People sort of Yeah.

Speaker 1

怀疑你吗?

Doubting you?

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

Do you know what?

Speaker 0

说来有点好笑。

So it's funny.

Speaker 0

我赢了扎克之后,和赞助商在酒店酒吧里吃饭。

So after I beat Zach for free, I was in the hotel bar with my sponsor.

Speaker 0

我们刚吃完晚饭。

We just had dinner.

Speaker 0

其实我当时喝的是橙汁,算是做个说明。

Was actually having orange juice as a disclaimer.

Speaker 0

他收到了俱乐部里一个熟人的消息,那人问他:‘你干嘛又回去找菲尔?’

And he had a message of someone in the club, someone that he knows, and he was like, oh, why have you back to Phil?

Speaker 0

如果到现在还没行动,那他到底会不会做这件事?

If he hadn't done it by now, when's like, is he ever gonna do it?

Speaker 0

那种想法其实一直在我脑子里挥之不去,但恰恰是这种压力给了我斗志,让我重新燃起了激情。

And even that, like, that's in his back of your head, but that that was a good that's I I needed something like that at that to give me that fight and that fire in my belly.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

但这些年,总有人问:‘你干嘛非得这么做?’

But over the years, like, you always get people, why are you doing it?

Speaker 0

但我自己始终相信这件事。

And you do believe it.

Speaker 0

我所有的朋友都收入不错,工作稳定,他们还纳闷:‘你图啥啊?’

And, like, all my mates are, like, earning good money, doing good jobs, and they're like, oh, why are paying so good?

Speaker 0

你就踏实工作,一步步往上走就行了。

I just get a job and just work your way up.

Speaker 0

连一些家人都说,学个手艺,赚的钱也不少。

Even some family members, like, just get a trade, earn good money.

Speaker 0

可现在呢,我就坐在这儿。

And now and now I'm sitting here.

Speaker 0

我是个职业运动员。

I'm a professional athlete.

Speaker 0

抱歉,我说错了。

Well, I sorry.

Speaker 0

我是说运动员。

I say athlete.

Speaker 0

我刚才跟朋友开玩笑呢。

I said it my mate.

Speaker 0

是句玩笑话。

It's a joke.

Speaker 0

我是说职业足球运动员。

A professional soccer player.

Speaker 0

我是全球仅有的128名职业球员之一,正在实现我的梦想。

I'm one of a 128 professionals in the world, and I'm living my dream.

Speaker 0

说实话,就算给我别的工作我也不换,我现在就爱干这个。

Like, this but I I wouldn't change anything or work work any job rather than do this now.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你可得笑到最后才行。

You want the last laugh there.

Speaker 1

这话才说得对

That's the way to say

Speaker 0

对吧?

it, isn't it?

Speaker 0

没错吧?

Isn't it?

Speaker 0

百分之百。

A 100%.

Speaker 0

当初我赞助人给我看了他认识的一个人发的那段话,我就想,这不就是典型的自卑心理吗?

Like, when my sponsor showed me this text of someone he knew, I was like, it's just it's little it's loser syndrome, ain't it?

Speaker 0

就是那些自己做不到的人,反而想打压别人,而不是真心鼓励。

It's people that can't do it themselves, and they wanna try and put other people down rather than cheering.

Speaker 0

但我觉得,这正是我最近成长这么多的原因。

But I feel like that's why I've grown up a lot recently.

Speaker 0

我以前不是那种讨厌别人的人,只是会嫉妒,因为自己没做到。

I've always been not a hater, but jealous because I haven't done it.

Speaker 0

过去几年,我真正开始支持朋友,他们一有成就,我就为他们喝彩。

Last couple of years, I've really been a support with my friends and, like, cheered when they've done anything.

Speaker 0

我觉得这其实帮了我很多,因为你终于明白,并不是所有人都在跟你作对。

And I feel like that's probably helped helped me out because you realize not everyone's against y'all.

Speaker 0

如果你能这样对待别人,别人也会同样对待你。

But if you could be like people like people are gonna be like that for you as well.

Speaker 1

不得不说,这里面蕴含着关于人生的深刻智慧。

There's a tremendous amount of wisdom there about human life, I have to say.

Speaker 1

有句老话说,每当我一个朋友去世,我身上就有一部分也随之死去——这句经典的话确实道出了生命中无法回避的一面,但同样真实的是,当我们彼此支持时,生活会变得更好。

There's the old thing about every time that a friend of mine dies, well, a little piece of me dies, that famous old phrase, there's that part of life that we can't ignore, but there's also the part of life that works better for us when we're supporting each other.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

完全正确。

A 100%.

Speaker 1

但你听我说。

But listen.

Speaker 1

我们待会儿会做个名字确认,然后多问问菲尔关于他的事。

What we'll do, Phil, we'll have a name check, and then we'll we'll ask Phil a lot more about his.

Speaker 1

到目前为止,他表现得简直太棒了。

He's been absolutely brilliant so far.

Speaker 1

我们早就知道你会是个出色的嘉宾,现在正在收听的是《台球闲谈》,嘉宾是菲尔·海格、尼克·麦卡弗和我们的特邀嘉宾菲尔·奥凯恩。

We knew you would be fully a terrific guest, and we should say you are listening here to Talking Snooker with Phil Haig and Nick Metcalfe, and our guest, Phil O'Kane.

Speaker 1

你好。

Hello.

Speaker 1

这里是《台球闲谈》,今天我们请到了菲尔·奥凯恩。

It's Talking Snooker here, and we're with Phil O'Kane.

Speaker 1

菲尔,你刚才谈到自己在台球界逐渐成长,现在终于实现了梦想。

And Phil, you're talking about, you know, you you getting on in the game and, you know, you're achieving your dream now.

Speaker 1

你小时候也喜欢台球吗?

Just a bit about were you also a fan of the game?

Speaker 1

就是经常看比赛那种?

Like, watching it a lot?

Speaker 1

你已经提过罗尼了。

I mean, you've already mentioned Ronnie.

Speaker 1

我猜他应该是你的偶像之一,但还有其他人吗?

I'm gonna guess he might have been one of your heroes, but were there others?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我小时候特别喜欢吉米·怀特。

Like, I loved Jimmy White growing up.

Speaker 0

小时候,我的偶像一直都是吉米·怀特,至于史蒂文·亨德里,我总觉得他老是跟吉米·怀特过不去,特别讨厌他。

Like, feel like growing up, yeah, my hero was always Jimmy White, and then, obviously, I always hated Steven Hendricks who always been Jimmy White.

Speaker 0

但后来挺奇怪的。

But then it's weird.

Speaker 0

等你真正开始打球了,发现自己的偶像完全变了。

But then as you start playing, feel like my heroes changed a lot.

Speaker 0

说实话。

Like Alright.

Speaker 0

后来那些人不再是遥不可及的英雄,而是我一起训练的伙伴。

They started being mates rather than like, obviously, was then I started practicing with people.

Speaker 0

比如马克·金、塞尔比、吉米·罗伯逊、马克·戴维斯,这类人。

Like, say, Mark King, Selby, Jimmy Robertson, Mark Davis, them kind of people.

Speaker 0

他们都是我身边的人,慢慢地,你不再把他们当偶像,但真的很佩服他们所做到的一切。

Like, people local to me, and then they start becoming not your heroes, but you admire them, didn't you, for what they're doing.

Speaker 0

你开始支持他们,不像以前,我虽然特别爱斯诺克,但除非我跟某个人有关系,否则根本不会看比赛。

And you start coming to support them rather than I was always been like, I love snooker to bits, but I can't watch it unless it's I've invested somehow.

Speaker 0

除非是我朋友在打,或者是像罗尼·奥沙利文、塞尔比这种级别的选手在打。

Like, unless one of my friends are playing or it's a game like, you know, a Ronnie Selby, one of them.

Speaker 0

对。

Right.

Speaker 0

我是说,我确实得有点特别的原因才会去看。

Like, I have to have some kind of something on it, really.

Speaker 1

所以最近的世界锦标赛,你不会像平时那样看吧?

So for the recent world championship, you wouldn't you wouldn't be watching more than you know the night

Speaker 0

就是那种你会看的比赛吗?

type thing you watch?

Speaker 0

世锦赛和大师赛,我场场不落。

Championships and masters, religious.

Speaker 0

只有这两项是必须的。

They're the only thing.

Speaker 0

我对这两项赛事特别上心。

Like, I'm religious with them.

Speaker 0

我也没法跟他们一起看比赛。

Like, I can't make a session with them too.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我早该这么做的,而不是光说说。

I should've started that really rather than yeah.

Speaker 0

不是的。

No.

Speaker 0

但要是德国大师赛之类的,我倒会说。

But but then I'd say it's German masters or something.

Speaker 0

我从来不会为了看这些比赛放下手头所有事。

Was like, I would never, like, drop everything to watch them.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我懂你的意思。

I've got you.

Speaker 1

没错。

Absolutely.

Speaker 1

提到菲尔·哈格林,不过我对你和菲尔合写的那篇文章很感兴趣,那篇文章当时让很多人了解了你的故事。

The the Back to Phil Hagelin at a moment, but I'm interested by the article you did with Phil because that kind of brought your story, think, to quite a lot more people at the time.

Speaker 1

人们都说,天啊。

People like, god.

Speaker 1

我特别喜欢的是,我不是说‘哇’那种惊讶,而是你对自己去了那么多次感到意外。

And what I loved about it was, and I don't mean that to mean wham it in a good way, you were surprised by how many times you'd gone.

Speaker 1

你当时心想,天啊,原来去了这么多次啊,我很好奇,这有没有让你对某些事想得更清楚了?

You'd like, oh god, yeah, it's quite a few, isn't I wonder, did that sort of crystallize your thoughts at all?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我是说,我在Q学校的时候其实一直在想这件事。

I mean, I thought that I was thinking about this during the Q School.

Speaker 0

这可能反而帮我不去纠结它。

It probably helped me not counsel it.

Speaker 0

感觉有点像在做心理咨询,因为你一直在聊这些事。

It felt probably a bit like counseling because you're speaking about all this.

Speaker 0

没错,可能正是这些对话让一切变得更真实了。

Like, yeah, it probably just helped it all come to life a little bit more.

Speaker 0

但我突然意识到,我已经做了这么久了。

But I realized how long I've been doing it.

Speaker 0

我明白了自己为什么这么做,以及它对我有多重要,老实说,这让我多出了那么百分之几的动力。

Like, I realized why I was doing it and how much it meant to me, and it probably gave me an extra like a few percent to be honest.

Speaker 0

我不是说这是唯一的原因。

I'm not saying it's for sole reason.

Speaker 0

当然,主要还是因为我太厉害了。

Obviously, all me because I'm amazing.

Speaker 0

不过它确实给了我额外的那点动力,我也一直有在想这件事。

No, but it definitely did give me a few more percent, and I've definitely thought about that as well.

Speaker 0

谢谢你提到那次采访,我很感激。

So appreciate it for you shouting me out for that interview.

Speaker 2

哦,没问题。

Oh, no problem.

Speaker 2

你现在要是说取消,我可要收你钱了。

If you say cancel now, I'm gonna be charging you some money there.

Speaker 2

那就是

That's

Speaker 0

问题就在这儿,老兄。

the problem, man.

Speaker 0

作为赞助商,我为这事道歉。

I apologize for that one as my sponsor.

Speaker 2

我琢磨着,接下来的Q学校,说不定人人都想来找我聊聊。

I'm thinking maybe people will be queuing up to be spoken to by me out of the next Q School.

Speaker 2

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说到Q学校,你可真是个宝藏。

On the Q School, yeah, you're a gold mine.

Speaker 0

我就是凯文。

I was Kevin.

Speaker 2

不是的。

No.

Speaker 2

如果这能帮上忙,我非常乐意提供。

Obviously, if that any help at all, very glad to give it.

Speaker 2

不过,我确实对你的经历感兴趣,因为最近我总看到你的名字。

But, yeah, was interested in your story because I've just seen your name a lot.

Speaker 2

我们以前根本没说过话,这确实不容易。

We'd never have spoken or anything before, and it is hard.

Speaker 2

就像你所说的,这在心理上是一场持久战。

Like, you explained, it's a slog sort of mentally.

Speaker 2

即使在顶尖选手中,输掉很多比赛也是常事。

Everyone loses a lot of matches even to high up the high up the sport.

Speaker 2

一次次撞上天花板,确实很难承受。

It's a lot to deal with hitting the glass ceiling a lot of times.

Speaker 2

所以我特别想听听你的故事,我觉得你讲得特别棒,尤其是你后来成功了,这传递了一个特别温暖的信息。

So I was just intrigued to hear your story and I thought you told it brilliantly because it was ideal that you then got on because it was a lovely message to keep And

Speaker 0

不过得说明一下,我其实特别喜欢Q学校。

as a disclaimer now, I love Q School.

Speaker 0

它可不是世界上最糟糕的赛事。

It's not the worst tournament in the world.

Speaker 0

它真的很棒。

It's brilliant.

Speaker 0

我一直以来都是这么认为的。

I said that actually as I've always had.

Speaker 0

你知道马克·威廉姆斯的安保人员在哪儿吗?

Do you know where Mark Williams is security man?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我临走的时候跟他说了这话。

I said that to him on the way out.

Speaker 0

顺便说一句,我刚才那些话全收回。

Was like, I'll take that all back, by the way.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

Brilliant

Speaker 2

比赛。

tournament.

Speaker 2

我先不往前跳太多,如果尼克有问题是吧?

And then so I don't wanna skip forward too much if Nick had some of the questions.

Speaker 2

但上了巡回赛之后,你其实经常出入职业比赛,但有没有哪里跟你预想的不一样?还是说你本来就知道会这样?

But then coming on tour, I mean, you've been in and around professional matches quite a lot, but was there any has it been any different to what you expected, or were you just sort of aware of it already?

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

It do you know what?

Speaker 0

显然,因为和Q学校在同一场地,一切都感觉特别熟悉。

It felt obviously, whereas at the same venue as Q School, it all felt really, like, familiar.

Speaker 0

但当我走出去时,我直接打了个特别差的球。

But then I went out there, I just throw that fat China one.

Speaker 0

我整个人都僵住了。

I just froze.

Speaker 0

我发挥的水平大概只有自己能力的十分之一。

Like, I paid probably 10 percent of what I could.

Speaker 0

这根本不是钱的问题,因为到那时候奖金已经是保底的了。

And it's all because it's not even the money because you're guaranteed the money at that point.

Speaker 0

真正影响我的是排名压力,你脑子里会不断算着,两年内到底需要赚多少分。

But the ranking push, you start thinking about all that, and, like, I just want this like, you have a figure in your head how much you need to earn and over two years.

Speaker 0

你会觉得这是个赚钱的好机会,毕竟奖金丰厚。

And, like, you see that as an opportunity, like, because it's a big one for money.

Speaker 0

结果我就有点放不开手脚了。

And I just froze a little bit.

Speaker 0

只要一想到是在打排名积分,我就完全被束缚住了。

Like, I felt like as soon as I was playing for ranking points, it just hindered me.

Speaker 0

接下来那场比赛,我开局就以零比三落后了。

And then, obviously, I was three nil down my next match.

Speaker 0

我当时觉得最坏的情况就要发生了。

I thought I was thinking the worst.

Speaker 0

我觉得自己在这个级别上其实够强了。

I was like, I'm I'm good enough at this level.

Speaker 0

又是到了零比三的时候,我直接僵住了。

Like, again, I was just I froze at three nil.

Speaker 0

后来我放松了手臂,状态才慢慢好起来。

And, again, I was let my arm go, and then I started playing alright.

Speaker 0

不过,这种话我以前也说过好几次了。

But, yeah, even I think I've said that this before as well.

Speaker 0

但赢下武汉那场比赛的第二天,我感觉轻松多了。

But, like, even the next day after winning that match in the Wuhan, I felt more at ease.

Speaker 0

在训练室里,我不再像刚进中学第一天那样,觉得自己是个新人了。

Like, I was in the practice room, didn't feel like the new kid on the block, like, first day of secondary school.

Speaker 0

我觉得自己有点放不开。

I felt like I blund a little bit.

Speaker 0

就连我跟伴侣聊天的时候也说过这样的话。

And then even, like, you're speaking to I've said this to, like, my partner.

Speaker 0

你在工作的时候,天天接触的都是那批人,感觉一模一样。

I was like, when you're at work, like, you have your brands feeling the same people all the time.

Speaker 0

我在Q巡回赛干了好几年,都是熟面孔。

Like, I've been at work at Q Tour for years, familiar people.

Speaker 0

你知道谁是谁。

Like, you know who you know.

Speaker 0

每个人跟你都挺熟的。

Like, everyone's your friend.

Speaker 0

你知道谁合得来,谁合不来。

You know who you don't get on with, who you do.

Speaker 0

你身边总围着那么几个小圈子。

Your crowds and cliques you hang around with.

Speaker 0

然后你去了一个新的巡回赛,一下子要面对127个你从来都没打过交道的人。

And you go on this new tour, and it's a 127 different people you don't you haven't spoke to in, like, ever.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

你得重新适应一切。

And you gotta find your feet again.

Speaker 0

那种感觉真的就像第一天上学一样。

And, yeah, it felt very much like first day at school.

Speaker 0

不过说实话,自从我赢了那场之后,我就感觉踏实多了。

And but, yeah, I mean, like, I I love, like, after I won that we've had I felt a lot more settled.

Speaker 0

我越来越期待接下来的每一场比赛了。

I'm looking forward to more and more tournaments.

Speaker 0

我特别期待马上要来的那一轮资格赛。

I'm looking forward to this next group of taught that the qualifiers coming up.

Speaker 0

还有即将到来的抽签仪式。

Even, like like, the drawers coming up.

Speaker 0

我看了上一届的签表,我的半区居然是希金斯和朱德,我当时就想,这真的假的?

I looked at the draw, like, for the last one, and my bracket was, like, Higgins and Judd, and I'm like, is this really?

Speaker 2

没错。

That's

Speaker 1

不过话说回来,你确实跟朱德打过,对吧?

But just to say, you did play Judd, didn't you?

Speaker 1

你提过好几次那场比赛了,说明你也不是没跟这些人打过。

A match you've mentioned quite a lot of times, which is a lot so it's not as if you haven't played these guys at times.

Speaker 0

嗯,确实。

No.

Speaker 0

只是现在我觉得自己配得上跟他们打,以前我可能只是运气好才碰到他们。

It's just, like, I feel like now you deserve to play them, whereas before, I was probably lucky to play them.

Speaker 0

现在我既然在巡回赛里了,大家都是为了同样的排名积分在拼,我知道他们资历更深、地位更稳,但至少我现在也有资格站在这里了。

Like, I feel like now, obviously, because I'm on tour, like, we're both fighting for the same ranking points for the same obviously, I know they're a lot more and established in the game and have more rights to be there than I do, but I do have a right to be there now.

Speaker 0

以前呢,我靠的是替补名单或者外卡,根本没这底气。

And whereas before, I didn't like was top up lists or wild cards, etcetera.

Speaker 0

但现在真的不一样了。

But, yeah, like, now yeah.

Speaker 0

挺好的。

It's nice.

Speaker 0

我很期待能和顶尖选手同场竞技。

I'm looking forward to joining a big name.

Speaker 0

我不是觉得自己有多了不起,别误会。

Not because I think I'm anyone, like, don't get me wrong.

Speaker 0

我不是自大,只是现在很期待检验一下自己的水平。

Don't wanna come across cocky, but I'm looking forward to testing myself now.

Speaker 2

那你对这个怎么看?

So what what do you think about this?

Speaker 2

他们越来越倾向于分层级的赛程安排了。

They're going more and more to the tiered draws.

Speaker 2

这样的话,要见到顶尖选手可能得赢更多场才行。

So it probably it'll take more wins to get to the big names.

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

还不如早点碰上他们。

Rather have a crack at them early.

Speaker 0

我觉得有一半的人,显然跟很多选手水平差不多。

I feel like half's obviously a lot like obviously, around mates with a lot of players.

Speaker 0

你确实会聊到这个。

Like, you do talk about this.

Speaker 0

这事儿其实差不多,两方面都一样。

It's six of one and a half dozen of other.

Speaker 0

我觉得这样更好,因为你打的都是跟自己水平接近的对手,赢的比赛自然更多。

I feel like it's a lot better because you're gonna win a lot more matches because you're playing people around your level.

Speaker 0

但你还是希望遇到那些大牌选手。

But then you do want them big names as well.

Speaker 0

要是抽签能更平衡一点,一半是分级签,一半是开放签,那就更好了。

Like, it'd be nice if it was more fifty fifty tier draws and open draws.

Speaker 0

但说实话,我觉得如果你用了一种系统,就会想要试试另一种。

But, yeah, I think it I think, like, if you don't if you do one system, you want the other system.

Speaker 0

如果你在用这个系统,就会想换那个系统。

If you're doing that system, you want the other one.

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

我觉得确实如此。

I think that I think yeah.

Speaker 2

因为这两种系统都不完美。

Because neither of them are perfect.

Speaker 2

没错。

No.

Speaker 2

如果一个系统用久了,人们会慢慢觉得该换另一个,过一阵子又想换回来。

I think one if there's one for a while, people eventually talk themselves into going to the other one and then turn them back around eventually.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

要是他们能对这两个系统各占一半,那就太好了,我觉得。

It'd be nice if they just thumb fifty fifty with both systems, I think.

Speaker 0

但说实话,现在全是新闻,我也不太清楚到底发生了什么。

But, obviously, where it's all news, man, I don't really know what's going on either.

Speaker 0

我还在慢慢学着怎么弄呢。

Like, I'm still, like, learning the ropes.

Speaker 0

抽屉突然弹出来了。

Like, drawers coming out.

Speaker 0

我当时就想,咦,这东西是干嘛的?

I'm like, oh, but, like, what's this?

Speaker 0

这是分级的还是开放的?

Is it tiered one or open?

Speaker 0

我觉得接下来三个资格赛里,有一个也是开放式的。

So I think one of next three qualifiers is open as well.

Speaker 0

英国那边的情况就像足总杯一样,完全是随机的。

Things in British is like FA Cup, so it's random.

Speaker 1

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

但说实话,我根本没参与过,这到底是为什么呢?

But, again, I'm like, obviously, why I've not had anything to do with it?

Speaker 0

我其实也在慢慢了解这些流程。

I'm I'm learning the ropes as well.

Speaker 0

所以啊,我可能就是乔丹·罗尼或者肖恩·奥沙利文之一。

So, yeah, I could be Jordan Ronnie or Sean O'Sullivan.

Speaker 0

谁知道呢?

Who knows?

Speaker 2

就连中国这边也是,WSC做过一个关于所有中国赛事的说明,结果大部分赛事规则都不一样。

Well, even the Chinese because they they WSC did that explainer on all the Chinese events, and even most of them were all different.

Speaker 2

就连分级体系也略有不同。

Even the tier structures were slightly different.

Speaker 2

对啊。

So Yeah.

Speaker 2

最好的办法就是带着你的排位直接去参赛就行。

It's probably just best to turn up with your queue and just to play.

Speaker 0

没错,就是这样。

That's the thing.

Speaker 0

挺有意思的,先查清楚自己哪天打,然后直接出发。

Funny to do and find out what day you're playing and just travel up.

Speaker 2

那你有没有特别想参加、这些年一直盼着能上场的赛事或场地?我知道有些是显而易见的,但还有没有别的?

So are there any are there any I mean, there's the I'm sure there's the obvious ones, but any tournaments or venues when that you've been itching to play for all these years that you're gonna get a go at?

Speaker 0

我特别想说,要是能参加英国锦标赛、世界锦标赛,哪怕只是在庞斯福德那种地方打一场,也足以圆了我的一个梦想。

I wanna say to like, to say I've played in, like, UK championships, world championships, like, even if it's at Ponsford or wherever, like, that that that would be a massive tick off the bucket list.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

我超爱淘汰赛。

I love the shootout.

Speaker 0

我只在闭门比赛时打过一次淘汰赛,要是能有观众现场看,那就太棒了。

I've only played in it once behind closed doors, so it'd be nice to do that with a crowd.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我的意思是,没错。

I mean, I'm yeah.

Speaker 0

我对此特别兴奋。

I'm buzzing about it all.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我觉得英国的那两个赛事,就是从小长大的时候最向往的两个比赛。

I just I think The UK as well would say the two bucket list ones, and they're the ones when you grow up.

Speaker 0

你小时候总在电视上看着它们。

You watch them on TV.

Speaker 0

就算只是参加资格赛,因为那些比赛确实重要。

Like, even if you're in the qualifiers, because they are.

Speaker 0

但你知道,当你在电视上盯着决赛看,一连好几周,而我已经打过那个比赛了。

But, you know, like, when you're watching the final, like, weeks on, but I've I've played that tournament.

Speaker 0

我就是那些选手之一,每次这么说都觉得特别不真实。

I was one of the players, and that's all I'm like and I think that's still surreal to say.

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

而且说实话,确实如此。

And then I mean, yeah.

Speaker 2

我就不直接回答你了,但我猜大家都会提到克鲁西布剧院。

And without sort of answering it for you, I I imagine the crucible is is what everyone says for this.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这不就是人生必去清单上的地方吗?

I mean, that's that's bucket list, ain't it?

Speaker 0

那年杰克·琼斯打进决赛的时候,我也去过那里。

Like, I went there with Jack Jones when, you know, when he got to the final that year.

Speaker 0

我通常会趁比赛间隙,偷偷溜到后台,去球员休息室、训练室看看,我就在现场。

I was gonna look within most matches and, like, even, like, gone behind, like, like, behind closed scenes and, like, in his players room and practice room, and I'm there.

Speaker 0

我当时心想,天啊。

I'm like, woah.

Speaker 0

这才是真正值得拼的东西。

Like like, this is what you play for.

Speaker 0

你之前说过,你更想亲自上场,而不是在别处捡球。

And I was like, obviously, you said you wanna be there yourself rather than picking balls up somewhere else.

Speaker 0

你想要成为那个上场打球的人。

You wanna be the one one playing.

Speaker 0

不过,就像我之前说的,目标一直都有,这确实是个目标,但我不会把它当成现阶段的目标,得等到锦标赛资格赛快到了再说。

But, yeah, I mean, obviously, like I said before, there's there's always goals, and it's obviously a goal, and I'm not gonna make that a goal until probably the championship qualifiers do come around.

Speaker 2

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

所以现在提这个也没意义。

So there's no point.

Speaker 0

我不想直接否定整个赛季,把打进世锦赛当成唯一目标,然后说我只是在打完另外二十站比赛之前先守着。

I don't wanna write write off a whole season and say, qualify for the world is my goal where I'm disclaim I'm just guarding another 20 tournaments before them.

Speaker 2

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

那种一路狂飙到决赛的感觉是什么样的?

What what was that like for a ride where we're jacked all the way to the final?

Speaker 2

因为赛后采访的时候,他几乎看起来自己都不清楚是怎么赢的——不是说他做不到,他当然做得到,但他根本没使出全力,也没超常发挥。

Because that when he was getting interviewed afterwards, it almost felt like he didn't really know how he was doing it, but because he because he wasn't because he always said not that he couldn't do it because, obviously, he could, but he wasn't even, like, playing out of his skin.

Speaker 2

他就只是不停地赢。

It was just he just kept winning.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

说实话,他很清楚自己有多强。

Tell what, he's very he's someone who's very, very he knows how good he is.

Speaker 0

就连我们还是青少年的时候,他就一直是最顶尖的那几个之一。

Like, even when we was juniors, like, he was always one of the best.

Speaker 0

我觉得他就是从来不会去想那些乱七八糟的事。

And I feel like he just never like, don't know.

Speaker 0

我觉得他的打法特别适合这个赛事。

I feel like his game just suits that tournament.

Speaker 0

平时训练大家可能都差不多,但他打球就是更流畅、更迅速。

Like, in practice, probably everyone's the same, but he's so much more, like, flowing and quicker.

Speaker 0

我觉得他每一拍都拼尽全力,从不保留。

But I feel like he just don't he try he gives 110% every shot.

Speaker 0

我觉得大概就是这么个原因吧。

I think somewhere it's something like that.

Speaker 0

这对他很有帮助,他也清楚这能带他走得很远。

It'll do him a favor, and he knows that it'll get him far.

Speaker 0

其他人可能不会每拍都拼到极致,而他在其他比赛里就容易暴露短板,唯独在世锦赛不会。

Whereas other ones, you probably don't give a 110% a shot, and probably where he gets found out in other tournaments rather than the worlds.

Speaker 0

但说实话,听他谈自己的感受,能感受到他内心的经历。

But, yeah, I mean, to know to hear his emotions, like, what he's going through.

Speaker 0

即使有休息时间,我还是坐下来和他聊了。

Even with session intervals, I sat down with him.

Speaker 0

假如我没在现场,但他在打电话,我听着他那边的语气,了解他脑子里在想什么,这其实也对我有帮助。

Like, I'll say if I weren't there for a session, but he was on the phone, like, just hearing his side of it and, like, what was going through his brain, it probably helps me as well.

Speaker 0

所以,很明显,这就是我将来想达到的状态。

So, obviously, that's that's some that's somewhere I wanna be one day.

Speaker 0

知道别人也有和你一样的想法,不是只有你一个人在经历这些心理煎熬。

And knowing that other people do think the same with you, and it's not just you that's going through his mental tortures.

Speaker 0

就算在世界决赛的赛场上,其他人心里想的也和你一模一样。

And other people, even when you're in Final New Worlds, they're thinking the same things you are.

Speaker 0

你根本不是什么异类。

Like, you're not an alien out there.

Speaker 1

这真有意思。

That's really interesting.

Speaker 1

看到杰克走到这一步,一定是一段很棒的经历吧。

It must have been a really good experience to see Jack go that far.

Speaker 1

别忘了那天早上他赢了朱德。

Always remember that morning he beat Judd.

Speaker 1

那场胜利太精彩了。

That was spectacular victory.

Speaker 1

确实很特别。

It really was something special.

Speaker 1

能亲身经历那一幕,肯定很了不起。

Must have been, yes, for sure to be part of that.

Speaker 1

那场决胜局呢?

What what about the shootout?

Speaker 1

我感觉上一次好像没什么观众,是吧?

Is it I I get the I get the idea that you didn't have the crowds last time.

Speaker 1

观众是挺多的,但有些人又有点怕,因为场面太乱了,可你反而很期待。

It's just the crowds, but some people sort of half dread that because it's such a madhouse, but you're looking forward to it.

Speaker 0

我既害怕又期待。

I'm I'm dreading it, but looking forward to it.

Speaker 0

我觉得上次没真正体会到那种氛围。

Like, I feel like I didn't get the full experience last time.

Speaker 0

我跟萨姆·克雷吉打了一场,他可是我最好的朋友之一,我们当时住同一个房间。

Like, I played Sam Craigie, who's, again, one of my best mates, and we shared a room up there.

Speaker 0

因为我是个临时补上的,所以大概提前一两天才知道自己能参加。

We only because I was a last minute top up, so I only knew I was in it probably a day or two before.

Speaker 0

我立马就给他打了电话,跟他说了这事。

So, obviously, I spoke to him told him one minute.

Speaker 0

他一听就说,有人退赛了,咱们俩正好可以住一起。

Then he was like, oh, somebody's playing pulled out if we could have each other.

Speaker 0

于是我就过去跟他住一块儿,天天聊天。

So I've gone up there, like, sharing with each other, speak to each other.

Speaker 0

我从来没这么紧张过。

I've never felt so nervous.

Speaker 0

这辈子从来没感受过这么大的压力。

I've never felt that pressure in my life.

Speaker 0

那里一个人都没有。

No one there.

Speaker 0

就只有音箱在放声音。

It was only, like, speakers.

Speaker 0

你能听到从音箱里传出来的掌声。

Like, you could hear the clapping over speakers.

Speaker 0

里面气氛特别诡异,我抖得前所未有的厉害。

It was eerie in there, and I'm shaking like I've never shaked.

Speaker 0

我紧张得手心全湿了。

Like, I've lost all my boob.

Speaker 0

最后我们只好抽签决定。

So we've end up drawing.

Speaker 0

是蓝球决胜局。

It was a blue ball shootout.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 2

就那样过去了。

It went.

Speaker 0

我四次打了两三个中。

And I've I've hit two or three out of four.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

那次射击赛的声音其实挺棒的。

It was actually a good sound, the shootout.

Speaker 0

我根本看不到蓝色的球。

And I I couldn't see the blue.

Speaker 0

我胳膊都没知觉了。

I couldn't feel my arm.

Speaker 0

说实话,我都不知道怎么打中了两三个。

Like, honestly, like, I don't know how I've managed to put two or three.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

我开玩笑的。

I'm kidding.

Speaker 0

说实话,如果你能放大看,他说他注意到我在击球时黑球位置更高,还说我的手臂根本没抖,一点都没晃,动作特别稳。

Honestly, like, if you could zoom in, like, he said, oh, I had a higher black during the frame which I played, And he was like, your arm was literally not shaking, like moving, like, you know, swaying, like, quick.

Speaker 0

他说他想不通我怎么能把球打出去的。

He was like, I don't know how you fired that.

Speaker 0

说实话,那些蓝球,我真的看不清。

Honestly, on them blues, like, I couldn't see the blue.

Speaker 0

我手臂一点感觉都没有。

I couldn't feel my arm.

Speaker 0

我完全是靠猜的。

I was just guessing.

Speaker 0

我打中了几个,整个人都兴奋起来了。

And I've creamed a couple of them, and I was buzzing.

Speaker 0

但我是真的想完整体验一次,因为我觉得,就算我打不进,至少我也亲身经历过这场点球大战,感受过它所有的氛围。

But, yeah, I want to do it for the full experience because I feel like I've got, like, not I feel like I've got that taken away from me where even if I go out there and don't put a ball, I can say I've experienced the shootout and all the feelings it has to it.

Speaker 0

因为我以前每年都去。

Because I used to go there every year.

Speaker 0

以前在沃特福德的时候,我去过好几次。

Like, when it was in Watford, I went a couple of times.

Speaker 0

我还去过哪儿看比赛来着?

Where else did I go to watch here?

Speaker 1

现在具体在哪儿我都想不起来了。

Can't think where it's been now.

Speaker 1

到处都办过。

It's been all over.

Speaker 1

有一年不是在斯旺西吗?

It was in Swansea one year, wasn't it?

Speaker 0

对,就是那儿。

And Yeah.

Speaker 0

在斯旺西。

In Swansea.

Speaker 0

不好意思。

I'm sorry.

Speaker 0

我跟奥利弗·布朗一起去斯旺西看过他比赛。

I went out Swansea with Oliver Brown to watch him there.

Speaker 0

那种观赛体验真的特别棒。

And, yeah, it's some that is something where to watch is amazing.

Speaker 0

但上场打球可太遭罪了。

To play is dreadful.

Speaker 0

每个球员都讨厌那里。

Like, every player hates it.

Speaker 0

我真想不出有哪个球员会说他喜欢那儿。

Like, I can't I don't know one one player that would say they love it.

Speaker 0

但说到底,这就像一种朝圣。

But it's like, again, like a bucket is thing.

Speaker 0

你就是想亲身感受一下,那种地方到底能带来什么。

Like, you wanna experience their feelings and what it can do to you.

Speaker 1

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我知道我们话题跳得有点快,但你提到的那场比赛,是对阵纳索斯那场,你赢了,对吧?

I know we're jumping around a bit, but the match you you referenced, it it was it was a chapter upon Nassau that you beat, wasn't it?

Speaker 1

没错

And Yeah.

Speaker 1

我看了比分,没想到你们当时落后三球。

I looked at the scores, and I didn't realize you were three nil down.

Speaker 1

你们后来的反超太厉害了。

And you had a hell of a comeback.

Speaker 1

而且,比赛后半段你们的进球简直太精彩了。

And, actually, your scoring towards the end of that match was brilliant.

Speaker 1

这不仅是你第一次赢,还是场逆转取胜。

So not only was it your first win, but it's a comeback win.

Speaker 1

我真的特别喜欢你这么说,好像第二天你就觉得自己真正站稳了,走路都带着劲儿。

So I really I love the way you said that you sort of felt like you arrived the next day, and you're walking tall.

Speaker 1

那对你来说,一定意义非凡吧。

It just must have been so big for you.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我当时三比零落后。

Like, I was three or down.

Speaker 0

我心里就在想,我可能真达不到这个水平。

I was thinking, I'm just not good enough at this level.

Speaker 0

这种念头,不知不觉就冒出来了。

Like, you start thinking all that.

Speaker 0

后来我好不容易扳回一局,变成三比一。

And I think I've nicked one to go three one.

Speaker 0

那几局打得并不好,而且我也很不适应中间的休息间隔。

Not played good, but in the midst obviously, I'm not used to mid session intervals as well.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

通常我31比落后的时候,就想着别放弃,继续打下去。

So, usually, when I'm 31 down, I'm thinking, you know, just carry on.

Speaker 0

你走出去透透气。

You go outside.

Speaker 0

那是我第一次觉得,我真的需要帮一把。

Then that was the first one that I thought needs help.

Speaker 0

我找我的导师聊了。

Like, I've spoke to my sponsor.

Speaker 0

我也跟俱乐部老板谈了。

I spoke to the club owner.

Speaker 0

我还跟我太太说了,我们俩就聊了聊斯诺克的事。

I to my missus, and, like, we're just having, like like, my missus me and missus, talked about snookers.

Speaker 0

我们老是聊,周末打算干点啥。

We always talked about, like, oh, what we're doing at weekend.

Speaker 0

能暂时离开那儿真不错,我就出去放松了一下。

It was nice to get away from that, and I went out and just relaxed.

Speaker 0

但我觉得他们可能是因为,显然我不太习惯他们的方式,也不确定他们会不会真的帮上忙。

Like but I feel like they because, obviously, I'm not used to how they what they do to you and if they do help.

Speaker 0

然后我出来的时候,心想,我这回得打到七十,再打三个球。

And, yeah, I'll come out, and I think I've gone I'll go seventy seventy to go three o.

Speaker 1

我觉得你确实做到了。

I think you did.

Speaker 1

我看了一下,你应该是拿了五张两块七的钞票。

I think you got $2.70 fives, in looking at it.

Speaker 1

可能在最后一个,还有之前某一场,我仔细回想了一下。

Maybe in the last one and one of the earlier ones, I think, having looked at it.

Speaker 0

上一场?我也不太记得了。

I think last oh, I don't know, actually.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没有。

No.

Speaker 0

我错失了球。

I've missed the ball.

Speaker 0

斯基奥斯在某个时候也可能投进五十分。

Skos could make a 50 as well at some point.

Speaker 0

其实,想到这点,这么说总是有点荒谬。

Actually, thinking about that is always ridiculous to say.

Speaker 0

但话又说回来。

But yeah.

Speaker 0

后来,我真的打得很出色,赢下了比赛,感觉完全掌控了局面。

And then, like, I've actually played well to win, and I felt like I started dominating the game.

Speaker 0

然后我就赢了那场。

Like and then I've won that.

Speaker 0

之后,就像我说的,我回去吃了晚饭,睡了个好觉,第二天又回来了。

And then, yeah, like like I said, I went back, had dinner, had good sleep, come back the next day.

Speaker 0

我在练习室里,周围有卢卡和麦吉尔他们,这次我第一次觉得一点都不格格不入。

I was in the practice room, and I've got people like Luca and McGill around me, and I don't feel out of place for the first time.

Speaker 1

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

因为说实话,那时候我就在想,我和斯图尔特·卡罗尔关系特别好,之前那场比赛前我都是跟他一起练的。

Like because, know, because, obviously, I was thinking then, like, I said, me and Stuart Carroll are really good mates, and I went to practice with him before that tournament.

Speaker 0

结果很明显,我在国内输给了那个中国小孩。

And I, obviously, I lost to that to the Chinese kid in the China.

Speaker 0

我当时就想着,一定要尽快赢下这一局。

And I was like, I just wanna win the game as early as possible.

Speaker 0

我不想成为那个在巡回赛里从来没赢过一场的职业选手。

Like, I don't wanna I don't wanna be the pro that never wins a game on tour.

Speaker 0

你真的会开始想这些事。

You do start thinking about this.

Speaker 0

好像这种事永远都不会再发生了。

Like, as you're probably never gonna it's never gonna happen like that.

Speaker 0

但我当时想,如果在这儿赢不了比赛,那在那儿也赢不了。

But I was thinking if I don't win a match in this, then I don't win a match in that.

Speaker 0

我参加了一个冠军联赛的小组。

I had a Hard Championship League group.

Speaker 0

我心想,这可能得打五六场,一场都赢不了。

I was like, that could be, like, what, five matches, six matches and not win a game.

Speaker 0

他开始慢慢积累压力了。

And he starts building.

Speaker 0

我心想,赶紧赢一场,把这心头大石早点甩掉。

I was like, pleased I'll let that monkey off my back early.

Speaker 0

然后,确实,后来就真的赢了。

And, yeah, then yeah.

Speaker 0

当然,我在冠军联赛那会儿打得挺糟的,不过这事咱就不提了。

Obviously, I'd that's stinker at the Championship League, but we don't talk about that.

Speaker 2

那会儿在场上真是压力山大。

That was a hard room to be there.

Speaker 0

那真不容易。

It was hard.

Speaker 0

我跟余 Bing 打第二局时惨败,之后完全不知道该怎么调整心态。

I've lost a dreadful second frame against Bing Yu, and it's just I didn't know how to cope with it after that.

Speaker 0

这是我人生第一次遇到,就算输了,还得继续打两场。

It's the first time in my life where even if you lose, you still gotta play two more games.

Speaker 0

就算连输两场,也还是得打下去。

And even if you lose two, you still gotta play.

Speaker 0

我就是调整不过来,输掉第一局后整个人都垮了,因为那局我本该赢的。

I just couldn't get but I felt so flat after losing that first game because I should have been one o.

Speaker 0

我本该打粉球进袋拿下一比零,结果没打进,对方却在一比零时拿到了斯诺克。

I've missed a pink to go one o, and then he needs a snooker at one at one nil.

Speaker 0

他成功解了斯诺克,一杆清台,那天我整个人都被打垮了。

He gets a snooker and clears up, and it just ruined me for the day.

Speaker 0

从那以后我就一直没缓过来,状态差得离谱,说实话,打得一塌糊涂。

And it just felt like I've continued like, I just couldn't settle after that and just paid dreadful, to be honest.

Speaker 0

是的

Yeah.

Speaker 0

从那以后,我回家休息了一周,把球杆修了修,平时也时不时放松一下。

Then, obviously, I felt like from after that, I've had, like, a week off when I got home, got my queue refurbed, but just kinda had little breaks.

Speaker 0

自从上一期Q巡回赛到Q学校资格赛期间,再加上最初的几场资格赛,我已经连续三四个月没停过了。

Obviously, since q well, since the last Q Tour leading up to Q School, then the first few qualifiers, I feel like I've not had a break for three, four months.

Speaker 0

对

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

所以能休息一周真的挺好的。

So it's been nice to have a week off.

Speaker 0

这周我打了好多高尔夫,看了不少世界杯比赛,也喝了点啤酒,不过从明天开始,我又要拿回球杆,重新投入训练了。

I played loads of golf this week, watched a lot of World Cup, had a few beers, but now, obviously, tomorrow onwards, I get my cue back and just start playing again.

Speaker 0

是啊

So, yeah.

Speaker 1

这太棒了

That's brilliant.

Speaker 1

我很喜欢这一点。

I like that.

Speaker 1

另外我想问一个可能还太早的问题,说不定有点不公平,你过几个月再回来告诉我们答案吧。

Well, the the other one I wanted to ask, might be a bit early, might be a bit early, so a bit unfair, and you come back in a few months and tell us a follower answer.

Speaker 1

不过,有没有哪位职业选手已经给你提过一些建议,或者主动过来打招呼,跟你聊聊当职业选手是什么感觉?

But have there been any particular sort of pros that have given you a little bit of advice yet or come up and maybe introduce themselves or told you little things about what it's like to be a pro?

Speaker 1

现在问这个是不是有点早?

It it a bit early for that?

Speaker 0

不会。

No.

Speaker 0

我认识马特·塞尔好多年了。

So Matt Sell, like, I've known Matt for years.

Speaker 0

我最早用的一支好球杆就是他给我的。

I've got one of my first good cues of him.

Speaker 0

这大概都是八年前的事了。

This is probably, what, eight years ago.
