Speaker 0

That's what the email says.

Speaker 1

Ten Junk Miles.

Speaker 0

Not to give away your personal information.

Speaker 0

Ten Junk Miles.

Speaker 1

Junk Junk Miles.

Speaker 1

里程。

Miles.

Speaker 0

Junk Miles.

Speaker 0

你好。

Hi.

Speaker 0

If you record your name and reason for calling, I'll see if this person is available.

Speaker 0

喂?

Hello?

Speaker 0

喂?

Hello?

Speaker 0

喂?

Hello?

Speaker 0

Thanks.

Speaker 0

Please stay on the line.

Speaker 0

If that gets me

Speaker 1

through.

Speaker 1

喂?

Hello?

Speaker 0

你好。

Hello.

Speaker 0

How are you?

Speaker 1

Good.

Speaker 1

How are you?

Speaker 0

Evidently, my saying hello three times was was adequate to get by your complicated screening process here.

Speaker 1

Well, I I saw that it was screening a call, and so I just went ahead and took it.

Speaker 0

Oh, okay.

Speaker 0

You took you took a chance.

Speaker 1

I don't.

Speaker 1

I did.

Speaker 1

I took a chance on Chicago.

Speaker 0

I promise not to sell you anything or try to sell you anything.

Speaker 1

We'll see.

Speaker 0

How do I say your last name?

Speaker 0

Sepich。

Sepich.

Speaker 0

I think I was close.

Speaker 0

I do I do.

Speaker 1

As long as you don't say seepage, I don't care.

Speaker 0

不会。

No.

Speaker 0

不会。

Nope.

Speaker 0

不会。

Nope.

Speaker 0

Not seepage.

Speaker 0

And then this picture looks like you were at Potawatomi in this picture.

Speaker 1

Close.

Speaker 1

That one was Farmdale.

Speaker 0

Farmdale。

Farmdale.

Speaker 0

So you're down there at the same tent probably.

Speaker 0

对。

Yes.

Speaker 0

They probably loan the tent from the other place.

Speaker 1

Oh, I don't know if they do that or not.

Speaker 1

Wouldn't surprise.

Speaker 1

Probably.

Speaker 0

Wouldn't surprise me.

Speaker 1

It wouldn't surprise me.

Speaker 0

But the Farmdale guy, he's not even from there, right?

Speaker 0

Doesn't he live in like Arizona or something?

Speaker 1

Now, he does but he was from here.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

Originally.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

Because I remember his.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

His dad ran the other other year and and he wasn't there, just his dad.

Speaker 1

好。

Okay.

Speaker 1

I think that may have been before my time.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

不对。

No.

Speaker 0

This was, a couple years ago.

Speaker 0

Like, his dad ran potawatomi.

Speaker 1

Oh, he did?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

And I was like, you're here.

Speaker 0

Where's your kid?

Speaker 0

It was kinda weird.

Speaker 0

Anyway, we're ahead of ourselves.

Speaker 0

Where am I calling you?

Speaker 0

Where are you located?

Speaker 1

I'm in El Paso, Illinois.

Speaker 0

So where is that?

Speaker 0

No.

Speaker 0

I've never even heard of El

Speaker 1

Paso, Illinois.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

No.

Speaker 1

Not too many people have.

Speaker 1

It's probably about forty minutes away from Farmdale or so if you go towards Bloomington but then north.

Speaker 1

So I'm actually closer to Chicago than Farmdale or Potawatomi are.

Speaker 0

We'll call it Central Illinois?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

We're Central.

Speaker 1

That's fair.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

And what do you do for work down there in Central Illinois?

Speaker 1

Well, I am an audiologist.

Speaker 0

So what does that mean?

Speaker 1

I'm a hearing and balance doctor.

Speaker 1

So I don't know if you remember, but way back in the day when you had BPPV, I was getting really upset that your doctor or somebody had told you that it would just go away on its own, and I sent an email.

Speaker 1

BPPV是什么?

What's the BPPV?

Speaker 1

The BPPV, the when the crystals got jarred in your head and The vertigo.

Speaker 1

Vertigo.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

I was getting all salty about it.

Speaker 0

It it did eventually go you.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

But it's so simple.

Speaker 1

It, like, we roll you around and it's gone that day.

Speaker 1

So.

Speaker 0

Oh, nobody rolled me around at all.

Speaker 1

Yeah, they should've.

Speaker 1

They should've rolled you around.

Speaker 0

They rolled me around to test it.

Speaker 1

Rid of it same day.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

And then once you get the positive result, then you just keep rolling and you get rid of it.

Speaker 0

Well, it didn't last that long.

Speaker 1

So.

Speaker 1

Yeah, it's still, I still got salty about it.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

So then, is was that the kind of thing that you treat people for?

Speaker 0

比如。

Like.

Speaker 1

Yeah, I used to until my equipment broke and they haven't replaced it.

Speaker 1

So now, I just do hearing.

Speaker 0

So, like, if I need a hearing test or I want a hearing checkup or want to, you know, have a problem with my hearing, you're the person.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yep.

Speaker 1

I'm the person.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Should I be wearing those earplugs when I go to concerts?

Speaker 1

当然。

Absolutely.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

I'm gonna keep doing that.

Speaker 0

That that that become an old person thing, no.

Speaker 0

I I I heard someone give an interview, someone that was in the music industry, and they said, there's only so much I can hear, and I don't wanna blow my ears on you you know, like I'm going to see the Guns N' Roses and I'm I'm sure they're gonna be great and everything but like, do I really need to hear them like a 100% in order to enjoy them?

Speaker 0

No.

Speaker 0

So, I'll go.

Speaker 0

对。

No.

Speaker 0

I'll go earphones.

Speaker 0

You know, because then someday, I'm gonna wanna listen to like some smooth jazz like softly in my living room and I wanna be able to hear.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

And if you want to hear Guns N' Roses when you're 70, listen to them more quietly now.

Speaker 0

没错。

There you go.

Speaker 0

That's that's what I'm working on.

Speaker 0

That's what I figure.

Speaker 0

I'm trying to preserve my ears.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

但是

But

Speaker 0

I don't think anybody else is doing that.

Speaker 0

I think I'm I'm worried that you know people are with the headphones and they're just cranking everything up and everyone's gonna be deaf someday.

Speaker 1

I do think people are getting better about it than they used to be though.

Speaker 0

In concerts, yeah.

Speaker 0

I do see more people with headphones, ear earplugs than I ever saw.

Speaker 0

But Right.

Speaker 0

I think that we just have the tendency to just always turn everything up.

Speaker 0

Up, up, up, up, up.

Speaker 1

Mhmm.

Speaker 1

You know?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yep.

Speaker 1

The the thing I hate the most is watching people mow with their AirPods in.

Speaker 1

哦。

Oh.

Speaker 1

That's so bad.

Speaker 0

Because it's like two things at once?

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

You have to turn those up so loud to hear them over the mower.

Speaker 1

So, just don't do it.

Speaker 0

Interesting.

Speaker 0

Okay.

Speaker 0

Or get an electric mower.

Speaker 1

I don't have enough time to fit everybody with a hearing aid.

Speaker 0

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

Well, but now I know who to call.

Speaker 1

是的。

You do.

Speaker 1

If you'd want to drive all the way down here.

Speaker 1

Well, I mean, I go

Speaker 0

down there a lot.

Speaker 0

I mean, I go there for stuff.

Speaker 0

So, I mean, I'd rather, I'd rather drive to see a doctor that I know than than go to see a stranger.

Speaker 1

Perfect.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

So, I'm going to put you down.

Speaker 0

There you go.

Speaker 0

When my hearing goes.

Speaker 0

But I won't because I'm taking care of it.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

Tell me your little running story.

Speaker 0

Your your you know, what happened and how'd you get him?

Speaker 0

How'd you get to where you are today?

Speaker 1

It kind of happened accidentally.

Speaker 1

My girlfriends and I decided we were gonna do hot chocolate every year up in Chicago just for the excuse to have a girls weekend, but that was the only time we would run was the five k there.

Speaker 1

And then the same group of girls decided, well, if we're gonna do that, we should also do Saint Jude.

Speaker 1

So we started doing one of the satellite runs for Saint Jude.

Speaker 0

Which one?

Speaker 1

The Canton to Peoria one.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

Nowhere near where I am now, but that's close to where we all went to school together way back in the day.

Speaker 1

So that's the one we picked.

Speaker 1

So we did that for several years, and then unfortunately for another group of women, they thought that meant I was actually a runner.

Speaker 1

And so they talked me into joining their Radnor trail team because they thought I was a runner and that I would help the team.

Speaker 1

I'm not a runner.

Speaker 1

I was only running twice a year.

Speaker 1

So I wasn't very fast.

Speaker 1

But I guess longer story short, in an effort to prepare for the trail because I'd never run a trail before, I went out and did blue Chevy.

Speaker 1

I don't know if you know that one, but that's out where, yeah, where Farmdale is.

Speaker 1

So I did blue Chevy and fell in love with trail running.

Speaker 1

So then I just became addicted to anything trail.

Speaker 1

I did far too many Ragnars to be comfortable with and then decided I was gonna start doing these longer trail races.

Speaker 0

So what's the longest

Speaker 1

呢?

you've done?

Speaker 0

What's the longest?

Speaker 1

I did Midwest States, 100 k up in Wisconsin.

Speaker 0

Very nice.

Speaker 0

And are you going back there again this year?

Speaker 1

不会。

No.

Speaker 1

Absolutely not.

Speaker 0

Okay.

Speaker 0

Why not?

Speaker 1

I mean, it was beautiful, but I lost three toenails that race, and I was cursing every root and rock I hit along the way.

Speaker 1

I was you know, that you know how you're supposed to come out of that low?

Speaker 1

I never came out of the low.

Speaker 1

I was angry to the very end.

Speaker 1

When I was done, Michelle was like, how was it?

Speaker 1

Ask me in the morning.

Speaker 1

And then in the morning, I was still not ready to answer.

Speaker 1

所以……

So

Speaker 0

So when you say it always gets better, that that's not true.

Speaker 0

It's not doesn't always get better.

Speaker 1

Not always.

Speaker 1

Maybe if I had gone a 100, I would have come out of that low, but I doubt it.

Speaker 0

Well, so now you gotta go back and do the 100.

Speaker 0

Right?

Speaker 1

Yeah, I don't know.

Speaker 1

I sent myself a voicemail that day begging myself to never do it again.

Speaker 1

I didn't call the bonk line.

Speaker 1

I called myself.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 0

Well, that that makes sense then.

Speaker 0

So, now, you, are you going to do a 100 mile race?

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

I am planning on one this year but I don't want to say where.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Well, we won't we won't make you say it but I look forward to to to hearing that it happened.

Speaker 0

And have you ever done more viruses?

Speaker 1

没有。

No.

Speaker 1

Oh, you should.

Speaker 1

That'd be fine.

Speaker 1

I know.

Speaker 0

We don't have any roots.

Speaker 0

I promise.

Speaker 0

Not one.

Speaker 1

There's not a there's not no roof.

Speaker 0

Not one root on the whole trail.

Speaker 0

I promise you.

Speaker 1

I know.

Speaker 1

That's one of the reasons I haven't signed up for one yet because it's not trail.

Speaker 0

It is a trail.

Speaker 0

我

I

Speaker 1

don't like paved typically.

Speaker 0

It's not paved.

Speaker 1

But is it like the because it's a rail trail.

Speaker 1

Right?

Speaker 0

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

好。

Okay.

Speaker 1

So is it like what?

Speaker 1

Peak gravel up there?

Speaker 0

不是。

Nope.

Speaker 0

It's like dirt, grass, maybe a little bit of gravel, but it looks like a Oh.

Speaker 0

It looks like a Jeep road kinda.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

It does nothing.

Speaker 1

Possibly then.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

It does it's not what you're it's not what you're thinking then.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

I will say I did I haven't signed up for it yet, but I promised one of my friends that I will do, I think, twenty four hour dots this year.

Speaker 1

I just haven't registered yet.

Speaker 0

Okay.

Speaker 0

Well, we we like it when you register last minute because then, then we then we then we have to go recount all the awards and, you know, it's like, it's perfect for, you know, planning our

Speaker 1

Let's do it.

Speaker 0

Year and stuff.

Speaker 1

I'll do it soon.

Speaker 1

I have to spread out how much money I put out for running so that my husband doesn't notice it all at once.

Speaker 0

Oh, that's a good tick.

Speaker 0

You should get a a special credit card, like a secret one.

Speaker 0

Just call it like a business credit card, but then just making sure it's in your name.

Speaker 0

Maybe put see, here was you can the credit card company doesn't give a shit what's on the card.

Speaker 0

So you could put your name and then put the name of the company on it, and and they'll the company won't know.

Speaker 0

It's not on their record.

Speaker 0

And then your husband will just think it's a company card.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

I'll do that.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

I sent you a picture of the trail just just so you have an idea of what the trail

Speaker 1

looks like.

Speaker 0

I just responded to your so you'll you'll get that and you'll see it's I mean, it's not you the the thing that's different about it is it's not uniform.

Speaker 0

There are places where there's a ton of grass.

Speaker 0

There's places where there's more dirt.

Speaker 0

There's places where there's, you know, a mixture, but it's generally not a uniform peak gravel.

Speaker 0

I know what you're talking about.

Speaker 0

It's not like that at

Speaker 1

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

It's a it's a very fun mix.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

And what do you what do you what are you training for now?

Speaker 0

Last twenty four hour evidently.

Speaker 1

Well I'm I don't really I'm not good at training I should say, but I did the most recent thing I signed up for officially is Ball State for next year.

Speaker 0

Well, there you go.

Speaker 0

Didn't you just keep them about pavement?

Speaker 1

Yeah, I know I did.

Speaker 0

What what's wrong with you?

Speaker 0

I don't like pavement but I signed up for the Vols Day.

Speaker 0

Hope you don't have a lot of peak gravel.

Speaker 0

I don't I I like trail.

Speaker 0

Oh, by side of the Vols.

Speaker 1

Well, I'm hoping to really prove to myself how much I hate me next year.

Speaker 1

所以。

So.

Speaker 0

I mean, that seems like the kind of race where you're definitely, you're going to send more than one voicemail to yourself.

Speaker 1

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

There will be lots of.

Speaker 0

What the hell is wrong with me?

Speaker 0

Why did I do this?

Speaker 1

So many things.

Speaker 1

So many things are wrong.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

That's that's just it's just a bad idea on a lot of levels.

Speaker 1

I know.

Speaker 0

At least you recognize it.

Speaker 1

是的。

I do.

Speaker 0

How did you find out about this 10 Junk Miles?

Speaker 1

I I was thinking about that and I'm pretty sure it was in the Citra Face group.

Speaker 1

So, Central Illinois Trail Runners.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

So I think I put out a feeler there a few years ago asking about running podcasts because I have to have something to motivate me, and I think this was the first one that was thrown out there.

Speaker 1

所以……

So

Speaker 0

Did it actually motivate you?

Speaker 1

It did.

Speaker 1

I've spent a lot of time listening to you guys, but I have I'm not completely caught up yet.

Speaker 0

That's okay.

Speaker 0

Well, I'm glad that it provided you some sense of motivation.

Speaker 0

We'll aspire to

Speaker 1

do more than that.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

It's either your podcast or a smut book that I listen to while I'm out there.

Speaker 1

所以

So

Speaker 0

Well, choose us over the smut book.

Speaker 0

How did how did you get that past the husband?

Speaker 0

He's okay with smut books but not okay with credit cards?

Speaker 0

Of course, he is.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Well, everybody's different.

Speaker 0

Did you have a podcast episode that you particularly liked?

Speaker 1

Oh, gosh.

Speaker 1

I was trying to remember the name yesterday, but it was one of the comrades.

Speaker 1

I don't know if it was before or after a comrades, but you were talking to a girl, and there was a dead cat story.

Speaker 1

And I was trying to paint my dining room, and I was just cackling the whole time.

Speaker 1

It was amazing.

Speaker 1

Dead cat.

Speaker 0

Oh, man.

Speaker 0

I don't even know.

Speaker 1

Someone's gonna remember.

Speaker 1

It's not me, but it was that episode.

Speaker 1

I couldn't stop laughing.

Speaker 0

Did husband join the episode, or was it a a gang show?

Speaker 1

I'm pretty sure it was a gang show because I think was it Erin who brought up a dead cat?

Speaker 0

Oh, that's early then.

Speaker 0

So this so this would be early.

Speaker 0

I think it would be Jennifer Hinton or it would be Natalie Hildebrand.

Speaker 0

One of those.

Speaker 1

For some reason, Natalie sounds right.

Speaker 0

Did she have an accent?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

I think that's Natalie then.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

I was cackling.

Speaker 1

It was great.

Speaker 0

I love it.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Is there anybody that you always wish, I would interview so you could learn more about them?

Speaker 1

I can't think of anybody.

Speaker 1

I tried and tried and I couldn't think.

Speaker 1

Unless you wanna get someone famous that I could flirt with if if he's there.

Speaker 1

谁?

Who?

Speaker 1

Like Colin Farrell.

Speaker 0

Colin Farrell.

Speaker 0

Well, I mean, I'll put him on my list.

Speaker 0

I don't I don't have high hopes but you never know.

Speaker 1

Me neither but, you know, if you do land them, I wanna be there.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

If I get Colin Farrell, if you're listening, come on down.

Speaker 1

I'm sure he

Speaker 0

会的。

is.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

Well, you never know.

Speaker 0

You know what?

Speaker 0

At this point in my life, it would not shock me if I got an email.

Speaker 0

Dear Scott, my name is Colin Fair.

Speaker 0

I do, you know, like, I it wouldn't be shocking.

Speaker 0

I'm not saying that he does, but I mean, so many strange things have happened like that that, you know, it wouldn't it would not it wouldn't be the weirdest thing that's ever happened in my life.

Speaker 0

That's for sure.

Speaker 1

That would be cool.

Speaker 1

I love you, Colin.

Speaker 1

I won't be too weird.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

Usually, when you say that though, we know you're gonna be too like that that's what everybody who's too weird says right before they're too weird.

Speaker 0

Right?

Speaker 1

I'm gonna be the weirdest.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

Something about you that nobody would ever believe.

Speaker 0

Not in a million years.

Speaker 1

Oh, shit.

Speaker 1

I forgot about that one.

Speaker 1

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

I don't know.

Speaker 1

I have so many things.

Speaker 1

My son takes notes.

Speaker 1

He keeps his notes app open for another story that I tell.

Speaker 1

I don't know.

Speaker 1

I've had so many jobs and I have so many stories.

Speaker 1

I don't know.

Speaker 0

Maybe that's the the thing is that you have tons and tons of stories.

Speaker 0

No one ever believed that.

Speaker 1

I don't know.

Speaker 0

Seem like a perfectly normal person.

Speaker 1

I I am perfectly normal.

Speaker 1

That's what nobody would believe.

Speaker 1

We'll go with that.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Hey, if it works, it works.

Speaker 0

Okay and then what about like if I were to send you to a desert island?

Speaker 0

One book and one album and one movie.

Speaker 0

You're you're you're you're gassed by this.

Speaker 0

Every single person the 340 some people I've asked this to.

Speaker 0

You knew this question

Speaker 1

was coming.

Speaker 1

I own I know it's coming.

Speaker 1

It's just that I know I don't have an answer for one of them.

Speaker 1

So record obviously is gonna be Purple Ring.

Speaker 1

Has to be.

Speaker 1

Very nice.

Speaker 1

No question.

Speaker 0

I like it.

Speaker 1

I've never questioned that one.

Speaker 1

Movie, I'm back and forth, but I think I'm settling on Pride and Prejudice.

Speaker 0

Ugh.

Speaker 1

I know.

Speaker 1

I'm sorry.

Speaker 1

We went from Purple

Speaker 0

Rain to Pride and Prejudice.

Speaker 0

How did that happen?

Speaker 1

I don't know.

Speaker 1

But as soon as I get the house to myself, which doesn't happen often, but as soon as it does, that's the movie that goes on the TV.

Speaker 1

所以,

So

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

And then And Oh, so

Speaker 1

对。

yeah.

Speaker 1

You could've went purple

Speaker 0

rain in the movie too.

Speaker 0

我是说

I mean

Speaker 1

No, I don't love the movie.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

It's okay.

Speaker 0

They do throw.

Speaker 1

But if I have the album, I'm happy.

Speaker 0

They do throw a woman in a garbage can at one point in that movie.

Speaker 0

Every time I see that, I'm just like, that's an age well.

Speaker 0

Keep me throwing people in garbage cans.

Speaker 0

What are you doing?

Speaker 1

No, I would like to, I would like the option.

Speaker 1

Maybe I should go with that one because then I can see Morris Day.

Speaker 0

I do like Morris.

Speaker 0

I saw him live.

Speaker 0

He's great.

Speaker 1

Oh, gosh.

Speaker 1

I wish I could have.

Speaker 0

He's getting old.

Speaker 1

He's amazing.

Speaker 0

He's not, he, is.

Speaker 0

He takes breaks and then he goes on the side of stage, and he he winces because he's hurting.

Speaker 0

Aw.

Speaker 0

Yeah.

Speaker 0

He's had a hard hard life.

Speaker 0

He had a good book, though.

Speaker 1

Yeah.

Speaker 0

It's a good book.

Speaker 0

I don't remember that.

Speaker 0

It's it's the word time in it somewhere.

Speaker 0

It's pretty short.

Speaker 0

It was a really good read.

Speaker 0

It was a nice biography by him.

Speaker 0

So if

Speaker 1

you're Okay.

Speaker 0

If you're looking for a book, that's that's a good one.

Speaker 1

Which perfect.

Speaker 1

That's the book I'm taking to the island then because I can't I couldn't settle on a book.

Speaker 0

Morse days autobiography.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

Well, so every time I think about this question, I cannot think of one because I everything I love is always gonna be in a series, and I can't take a series.

Speaker 1

So so then I think about a book I read over and over again when I was a teenager or a kid, but I don't think it would be the same now as an adult.

Speaker 1

So I don't wanna take that one either.

Speaker 0

Did you read Bloom books?

Speaker 1

No.

Speaker 1

Somebody's already attic wall.

Speaker 1

Oh, do they?

Speaker 1

Really?

Speaker 1

Good for them.

Speaker 1

没有。

No.

Speaker 1

Not at all.

Speaker 1

没有。

No.

Speaker 1

It was a sad book called Behind the Attic Wall about this girl who was just lonely, and I read that book probably a 100 times.

Speaker 0

The book by Morris Day is called On Time, a princely life in funk.

Speaker 1

Alright, I'll take that one.

Speaker 0

By Morris Day.

Speaker 1

At least it'll be new.

Speaker 0

I mean, can't be that new.

Speaker 0

Twenty nineteen.

Speaker 1

Well, I mean, new to me.

Speaker 0

That's when I purchased it.

Speaker 0

It could be older than that.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Yeah, but it'll be new to you.

Speaker 0

How many times through how many times on the desert island through do you think you get to where you say, god, am I stupid?

Speaker 0

Why did I pick the Morris Day book?

Speaker 0

Why didn't I pick something else?

Speaker 0

Like, pick the third time through, the second time through, does it take you five times?

Speaker 0

But at some point, you're just gonna be like, you're gonna hate yourself for picking that.

Speaker 0

我会

I'm gonna

Speaker 1

hate Morris Day by the time I die on that island.

Speaker 1

Hate Morris Day.

Speaker 0

They're find you on the Desert Island.

Speaker 0

They're gonna be like, what do wanna do?

Speaker 0

And you're like, anything but go to a Morris Day concert.

Speaker 0

Anything.

Speaker 0

Alright.

Speaker 0

And then, are we going to play trivia?

Speaker 1

I'm going to say no because I'm not caught up.

Speaker 1

I don't even know what kind of questions would be on there.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Well, you're the second person in a row skipping But

Speaker 1

I'm sorry, everyone.

Speaker 1

我不能

I can't

Speaker 0

help you.

Speaker 1

I wouldn't advance you at all.

Speaker 1

I know that, though.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

Well, then there's no reason to that.

Speaker 0

You know?

Speaker 0

Instead, you can give us more tips about how to better protect our ears.

Speaker 0

And how often should I be going and having somebody test this?

Speaker 1

It's really not that often.

Speaker 1

I know there are probably audiologists out there right now yelling at me because they need the money for annual tests.

Speaker 1

But I tell people, when your ears start ringing, we wanna test you.

Speaker 1

When you get your tinnitus going, we have to test you if, oh my goodness, here's a big one.

Speaker 1

If you notice a sudden change in hearing, call your primary doctor and say, I have a sudden hearing loss.

Speaker 1

I need to see an audiologist now.

Speaker 1

Don't let them say, well, it's probably fluid.

Speaker 1

Here's some antibiotics.

Speaker 1

Come back in a month.

Speaker 1

If it's still there, then we'll send you.

Speaker 1

Because by then, we can't treat it.

Speaker 1

So any sudden change like that, get to an audiologist within forty eight hours.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

That's a good tip.

Speaker 0

And use the ear earplugs.

Speaker 1

And use earplugs.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

That's that's what's my plan.

Speaker 0

So now are you going back to work now?

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

I'm going to a doctor's appointment now.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

Well, I don't wanna create another HIPAA violation, so we we won't ask any questions about that.

Speaker 0

不过

But

Speaker 1

You're not my provider.

Speaker 1

You can't violate HIPAA.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

That's true.

Speaker 0

But we like to say it.

Speaker 0

So every I know.

Speaker 0

We say that about everything.

Speaker 0

Everything's a HIPAA violation.

Speaker 1

I know.

Speaker 0

And you know

Speaker 1

what else?

Speaker 1

Care provider drives me crazy.

Speaker 0

For every part of the body that listens to 10 because there's there's like a urologist.

Speaker 0

He he he's always messaging me with with comments.

Speaker 0

So I I like the fact that we say stupid stuff about our bodies, and then we get doctors that send us messages about how stupid we are.

Speaker 0

That's that that that's a great compliment.

Speaker 1

We're gonna put you back together piece by piece.

Speaker 0

There you go.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

Well, now I got an audiologist and so does everybody else on the show, and we'll see you at the Badger.

Speaker 0

We'll see you the last outstanding.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

See you all

Speaker 0

in two weeks.

Speaker 0

那么

So

Speaker 1

that's perfect.

Speaker 1

Oh my gosh.

Speaker 1

Is it only

Speaker 0

是不是

is it

Speaker 1

only two weeks later?

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

It's longer than that.

Speaker 0

It's a month.

Speaker 0

It's a month.

Speaker 0

It's month.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

A month.

Speaker 0

给我

Give me

Speaker 1

a month.

Speaker 1

Sheesh.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

Time to train even though you don't train.

Speaker 1

I don't train.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

I'm worse.

Speaker 1

Okay.

Speaker 0

Have a great afternoon.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

再见。

Bye.

Speaker 1

Thank you.

Speaker 1

You too.

Speaker 1

再见。

Bye.

Speaker 0

Stop picking on me for my head my headphones, guys.

Speaker 0

My earplugs.

Speaker 0

Earplugs are the way.

Speaker 0

Stop reclining on those plane seats too.

Speaker 0

You wanna know when you can recline?

Speaker 0

Never.

Speaker 0

That's when.

Speaker 0

Well, if there's there's nobody else on the plane, obviously.

Speaker 0

Jada,

If you're reclining on somebody, Jada, you're just you're a terrible person.

Speaker 0

You're in trouble.
