The Amp Hour #730 - The Focus Knob Works

本集简介

Dave 和 Chris 庆祝节目开播16周年(首播集于2010年8月10日),推出全新静态网站,提供可搜索的转录文本、“pissed-old amber”SVG示波器(带可调节旋钮)以及周边商品链接!他们还讨论了 Dave 的新员工、10美分 RISC-V 调试器,以及为何将初创公司命名为一个无法通过 Google 搜索到的澳大利亚神秘生物是个糟糕的主意。

Speaker 1

都十五年了,我们还在处理音频问题。

Fifteen years in, and we're still having audio problems.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

That's right.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 1

就是躲不开。

Just can't avoid it.

Speaker 1

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 1

这是我今天的第一通抱怨。

That's my first rant of the day.

Speaker 1

我能再抱怨一个吗?

Can I have another rant?

Speaker 0

来吧,咱们把问题都摆出来吧。

Let's load it let's load them up, man.

Speaker 1

这就是答案。

Is the answer.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

克里斯,你来回答这个问题。

Of Of answer that, Chris.

Speaker 0

来吧。

Come on.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

谢谢。

Thank you.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

拜托了,先生。

Please, sir.

Speaker 0

我能再来一个吗?

May I have another?

Speaker 1

先生,我能再发一次牢骚吗?

May I have another rant, sir?

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

我去了Aces硬件聚会。

I went to Aces Hardware Meetup.

Speaker 1

顺便说一句,那真是太棒了。

Fantastic, by the way.

Speaker 1

所以我会聊聊那个。

So I'll talk about that.

Speaker 1

我是该先发牢骚,还是先聊聊聚会呢?

Should I talk should I rant first, or should I talk about the meetup first?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那是你的选择。

That's your choice.

Speaker 0

我们先从

Let's start with

Speaker 1

好消息开始吧。

the good news.

Speaker 1

这是一个自主选择冒险。

It's a choose your own adventure.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

选择你自己的,我觉得我们先说好的部分吧。

Choose your own I'd say that's let's start with the good stuff.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Aces硬件聚会。

The Aces Hardware Meetup.

Speaker 1

太棒了。

Awesome.

Speaker 1

天哪。

Oh my god.

Speaker 1

人满为患。

It was packed.

Speaker 1

地点在澳大利亚工程师协会总部。

It was at the Engineers Australia headquarters.

Speaker 1

哎呀。

Jeez.

Speaker 1

那地方真不错。

They've got some nice digs there.

Speaker 1

你的钱就是花在这些地方了。

That's where your money's going.

Speaker 1

你有会员费吗?

You have membership fee?

Speaker 1

嗯,我不是澳大利亚工程师协会的会员。

Well, I'm not a member of the Engineers Australia.

Speaker 1

我已经很久很久没加入了。

I haven't been for a long, long time.

Speaker 1

我们行业里大多数人也不是。

Most people in our industry aren't.

Speaker 0

还没呢。

Not yet.

Speaker 0

他们就是这样吸引你的。

That's how they get you.

Speaker 0

他们带你去一个不错的聚会,然后你就会想,哦,我想成为其中一员。

They take you to a nice meetup, and you're like you're like, oh, I wanna I wanna be part

Speaker 1

成为其中一员。

of this.

Speaker 1

我们行业里大多数人都不在澳大利亚工程师协会。

Most people in our industry are not in engineers Australia.

Speaker 1

那更多是给建筑行业那些人准备的,诸如此类的。

It's more for, like, you know, your construction and all that sort of crap.

Speaker 1

你知道,他们想拉学生入会,

You know, they try and rope in students,

Speaker 0

但我认识的大多数人都没加入。

but most people I know aren't.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

专业工程师。

Professional engineers.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

正式的注册工程师必须做专业工程,而我们这些可怜的电子工程师,我们不做那个。我们是电子元件搬运工。

Official professional engineers who have to do professional engineering, whereas us poor electronics engineers, we don't do Us electron slingers.

Speaker 1

我们只是到处摆弄元件。

We just sling components around.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我前几天其实跟一个朋友聊过这个,因为我跟一个当医生的朋友提到,工程师是个受保护的称谓。

I was actually talking to a friend about this the other day because I was mentioning, like, engineer is a protected term to a friend who's a doctor.

Speaker 0

他说,你知道吗,其实不是所有医生都有执照的。

He's like, you know, actually, not all doctors are licensed.

Speaker 1

在美国有些州,这确实是个受保护的称谓。

In in some states in The US, it is a protected term.

Speaker 1

我们之前聊过这个。

We talked about this before.

Speaker 0

我一直以为医生是受保护的术语,我是说,医生确实是受保护的术语,但有些像,获得委员会认证并不是硬性要求。

I I always thought doctor was a protect I mean, doctor is a protected term, but there's some like, being board certified is not is not a hard requirement.

Speaker 0

在美国,医疗委员会是很常见的事情。

It's a very common thing for the medical board being a thing in The US.

Speaker 1

哦,真的吗?

Oh, really?

Speaker 1

我以为是的。

I thought thought it was.

Speaker 1

我觉得在澳大利亚是这样的。

I think it is here in Australia.

Speaker 1

你必须得

I you have to be

Speaker 0

走那条路,但我觉得有些特殊情况。

on that path, but I think there are certain edge cases.

Speaker 0

他说有时候有些特殊情况,不需要认证也能完全执业。

And he said that sometimes there are edge cases where you don't need to be certified to totally practice.

Speaker 0

我当时就想,哦,

And I was like, oh,

Speaker 1

好吧。

okay.

Speaker 1

哇。

Wow.

Speaker 1

哦,这让我挺惊讶的。

Oh, I'm surprised at that.

Speaker 0

我是说,就是这样。

I mean, thing.

Speaker 0

所以,你知道,律师也一样。

So, you know, lawyers as well.

Speaker 0

比如,如果你想做某些类型的法律工作,你需要是律师,但不是所有法律工作都需要,而且,那里也有类似的情况。

Like, you need to be an attorney if you wanna do certain types of, like, law stuff, but not to do all types of law and not to do and, like, there's, like, cases there too.

Speaker 0

我当时还挺惊讶的,仔细想想的话。

I was surprised, like, thinking about it.

Speaker 0

你知道,我觉得这种情况其实更普遍,工程师里通过受保护群体、受保护术语认证的比例要低得多,但我一直以为律师必须是100%持证,医生也必须是100%持证,但事实并非如此。

Like, you know, it's I think it's much more prevalent where a much lower percentage of engineers are certified in that same way by a protected group, protected term, but, like, it's not I always thought it was, like, 100% lawyers had to be, 100% doctors had to be, and that is not the case.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我也是这么想的。

Same here.

Speaker 1

好。

Okay.

Speaker 1

有意思。

Interesting.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

哇。

Wow.

Speaker 1

就算你是在医院之类的地方工作也一样吗?

Even if you're working at, like, a hospital or something?

Speaker 0

他说的就是这种情况。

That was the use case he said.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我当时真的非常惊讶,

I was I I was very surprised by

Speaker 1

对。

that.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

哦,好的。

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

没错。

Right.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

哇。

Wow.

Speaker 1

真有意思。

Very interesting.

Speaker 1

总之,Ace硬件聚会。

Anyway, Ace's Hardware Meetup.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

那里人满为患。

It was absolutely packed.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

他们得找个更大的场地了。

They need to find a bigger venue.

Speaker 1

感觉他们好像有五十、七十个人在等候名单上,等着要进去。

It's like they were they had, like, fifty, seventy people on the wait list ready to get in.

Speaker 1

他们不得不把人拒之门外。

They had to turn them away.

Speaker 1

所以他们简直是在用棍子把人赶走。

So they're beating them off with a stick.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这个活动真是火爆。

This thing's killing it.

Speaker 0

太好了。

Great.

Speaker 0

那他们怎么会让你进去的?

Why they'll let you in?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

把那些乱七八糟的人都放进来。

Let all the riffraff in.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我没在那儿发言,但我拍了视频。

I didn't speak there, but I filmed it.

Speaker 1

所以谁想看完整的演讲,我大概有一个半小时的素材,差不多吧。

So anyone who wants to go watch the whole talks, I've got, like, do, I don't know, hour and a half of material or something like that.

Speaker 1

时间比我预想的要长得多。

It went way longer than I thought it would.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

因为我在那儿发言的时候,只有五分钟的限制什么的。

Because when I spoke there, you had, a five minute limit or whatever.

Speaker 1

而这次这个活动全都是关于创业公司之类的。

And this one this one was all about startups and stuff.

Speaker 1

所以他们请了像天使投资人,就是那种参与创业公司投资的人,你知道,就是做风投和天使投资的那种。

So they had, like, an angel like, a guy who runs a who's involved in, like, a you know, they they do all the startup, you know, the the VC angel investing stuff.

Speaker 1

他们聊到,哦,对。

They're talking about, oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

这个我们上个月做的项目现在已经是独角兽了,估值十亿美元,还有那个,你知道吗?

This one we did the other month is now a unicorn at a billion dollar valuation, and this one's you know?

Speaker 1

所以,总之,有很多钱在流动。

So, anyway, there there's there's a lot of money to be thrown around.

Speaker 1

然后呢,

And so

Speaker 0

不过前提是你得在头衔里加上AI。

Only if you have AI in your title, though.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

那就是

That's the

Speaker 0

唯一能拿到的方式,对。

only way you're getting that's Yeah.

Speaker 1

不过,他其实不让我拍他真正的演讲。

Well, he wouldn't actually let me film his actual presentation.

Speaker 1

里面有些机密的东西。

So confidential stuff in there.

Speaker 1

所以,好吧。

So okay.

Speaker 1

行吧。

Fine.

Speaker 1

总之,他们做了,你知道的,然后还有小组讨论什么的。

Anyway, they did you know, and then they had a panel discussion and all sorts of things.

Speaker 1

对,就是这样。

And, yeah.

Speaker 1

那真是一个非常棒的活动。

It was it was a really great event.

Speaker 1

你知道的,有披萨和啤酒。

You know, there's pizza and beer.

Speaker 0

戴夫发现了聚会活动。

Dave discovers meetups.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

然后呢。

And yeah.

Speaker 1

所以当时人满为患。

So it was packed.

Speaker 1

我觉得那好像是第十一次还是什么的。

I think that was the eleventh one or something.

Speaker 1

反正,差不多那样吧。

Anyway, something like that.

Speaker 1

不错。

Nice.

Speaker 1

我想吐槽的是。

What I wanted to rant about.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

有个哥们儿做了个特别棒的演讲,然后晚上结束的时候还有开放麦克风环节。

One of the guys did an excellent present, and then and then there's an open mic at the end of the night.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

而且当时开放麦克风的人还挺多的。

And there were a lot of open mics.

Speaker 1

大概有八九个或者十个开放麦,谁都可以上去,你有五分钟时间做PPT演示,展示你的恐怖产品什么的。

There were, like, eight or nine or 10 open mics or something where anyone can just get up and, you know, you've got, like, five minutes to give you PowerPoint presentation and spooky product or whatever.

Speaker 1

所以,对,有个人在那儿,他有个健身追踪器,你把它戴在身上,然后它就能监测你做深蹲的情况,蹲得多低。

So, yeah, there was this guy there that had this fitness tracker thing, which you hook onto yourself and then you can you know, it monitors how how you do squats, how low you go.

Speaker 1

而且,你知道,这挺酷的,他还有应用和网站什么的。

And, you know, it was cool, and he had a, like, an app and a website and everything.

Speaker 1

他现场演示,你知道,所以他一边做深蹲一边展示,现场演示什么的。

He's showing it live, you know, so he's doing the squats and showing it live and everything.

Speaker 1

然后我就想,这挺酷的。

And I'm going, this is cool.

Speaker 1

然后我回去之后,我就编辑那个视频。

And I'm editing the thing after I get back.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

然后我就想找他的网站。

And I'm trying to find his website.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

所以我想在我的视频里放一个链接,指向他的网站。

So I can actually have a link in my video to his website.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

因为他做了个演讲。

Because he gave a talk.

Speaker 1

我我我里面有时间戳。

I I I have the time stamping in there.

Speaker 1

我一直在找他的网站什么的,它叫X Trainer。

I'm trying to find his website and everything, and it's called X Trainer.

Speaker 1

Trainer这个词,后面没有e r。

And it's Trainer as in there's no e r.

Speaker 1

就是train X train r,对吧,这是产品的名字。

It's like train X train r, right, is the name of the product.

Speaker 1

我正想找那个,等等。

And I'm trying to find that Wait.

Speaker 0

我正要说在

I gonna say at

Speaker 1

结尾吗?

the end?

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

Train r。

Train r.

Speaker 1

就是Train然后加个r。

Like Train and then r.

Speaker 1

就字母r。

Just the letter r.

Speaker 1

不是e r。

It's not e r.

Speaker 0

哦哦哦,抱歉。

Oh oh oh, sorry.

Speaker 0

字母r。

The letter r.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

X X Trainer。

X X Trainer.

Speaker 1

所以我正在找他那该死的网站。

So I'm trying to find his bloody website.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

如果你是个初创公司,如果你不把名字里的元音去掉,那你还算真正在做初创公司吗?

If you're a startup, you if you're not if you're not taking vowels out of your name as a as a startup, are you really doing it right?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

总之,我就是找不到他那该死的网站。

So anyway, I could not find his bloody website.

Speaker 1

然后我就想,天哪。

And it's like, oh my god.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这也太离谱了。

This is ridiculous.

Speaker 1

所以,我要吐槽的是:给你的创业公司起个别人能找到的名字吧。

So please, my rant is name your startup so that people can find it.

Speaker 1

明白吗?

Okay?

Speaker 1

而且,在同一个演讲里,还有另一个开放麦克风环节,他们有一个很酷的AI产品,做各种AI引擎之类的东西,他们给它起名叫Dropbear。

And in the same presentation, there was another open mic there, and they had a cool AI product that did, you know, various AI engine things and stuff like that, and they called it Dropbear.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

他们叫它Dropbear。

They called it Dropbear.

Speaker 1

而且,你肯定知道Dropbear的

And, of course, you know about Dropbear's

Speaker 0

和直。

and straight.

Speaker 1

对,没错。

And yeah.

Speaker 1

这个名字已经泛滥了。

It's like that that name is flooded.

Speaker 1

你没法注册商标,因为Dropbear没法注册。

You can't trademark it because you can't trademark Dropbear.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

不是。

No.

Speaker 1

所以我也找不到Dropbear。

So I couldn't find Dropbear either.

Speaker 1

我花了好长时间才查出来。

It took me ages to try and find out.

Speaker 1

而且他们公司不叫Drop Bear。

And their company's not called Drop Bear.

Speaker 1

他们的产品叫Drop Bear,但公司叫别的名字。

Their product's called Drop Bear, but their company's called something else.

Speaker 1

我当时就想,天哪。

And I was like, oh my god.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

拜托,就把公司名字起成那样吧。

Just name your company, please.

Speaker 0

这真的很难,

It's really hard,

Speaker 1

对吧?

isn't it?

Speaker 0

我是说,说实话。

I mean, honestly.

Speaker 1

确实。

It is.

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

嗯,我还有另一个例子。

Well, I've got another example.

Speaker 1

这不是这次聚会上的事,但是,你知道,有些公司会给我发邮件

It was not from this meetup, but I, you know, I get companies email me

Speaker 0

中间都拼成字母o吗?

all spelled with an o in the middle?

Speaker 1

哦,对。

Oh, right.

Speaker 1

Goliath,中间有个o。

Goliath with an o.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你是说

Did you

Speaker 0

圣经里的那个歌利亚吗?

mean Goliath, the the biblical thing?

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

其实没有

Didn't actually

Speaker 1

那个

have it

Speaker 0

中间有个o。

with o in

Speaker 1

中间有个o。

the middle.

Speaker 1

我知道。

I know.

Speaker 1

这又是一个你第一次告诉我这个名字时,我觉得这名字真傻的例子。

That that's another one where the first time you you told me that name, thought that's just stupid.

Speaker 1

就是不行。

Just no.

Speaker 1

就像,换个别的名字吧,拜托。

Like, just pick something else, please.

Speaker 0

我是说,它单独用还行,但从搜索的角度来看,挺麻烦的。

I mean, you it it it works on its own, but it's also, like, it's it's tough from a search perspective.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

搜索的时候你得考虑很多因素。

You have to think about, like, a lot all the vectors when you're searching.

Speaker 1

你得能脱颖而出。

You've gotta be able stand out.

Speaker 1

你是个初创公司。

You're a start up.

Speaker 1

让别人容易找到你。

Make people easy make it easy for people to find you.

Speaker 1

可能只是谷歌里的唯一搜索结果。

Might be the only search result in Google.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

当然。

Sure.

Speaker 1

这有多难?

How hard is it?

Speaker 1

你懂的,对吧?

Like, you know?

Speaker 1

嗯,你知道的。

Well, it's you know?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

没错。

Right.

Speaker 0

我的创业公司叫Q?

My startup is called Q?

Speaker 1

正是。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

或者说,你懂的。

Or it's you know?

Speaker 1

总之,又收到一个,对吧?

Anyway, got another right?

Speaker 1

我经常收到公司发来的邮件,经常。

I get companies email me all all all the time.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

所以又有一家初创公司给我发邮件,他们给了我一些好处,我就不说是什么了。

So I got another startup emailing me, and they offered me well, I won't say what they offer.

Speaker 1

但总之,他们联系我说,嘿,你想不想参与我们的产品,帮忙评测一下?

But anyway, right, they contacted me saying, hey, do you wish to, you know, be involved in our product and review it?

Speaker 1

你知道,这对你的观众来说会很棒,可以分享给他们。

You know, like, it'd be great for your audience to share it.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

这个产品叫 Mindvault。

And it's called Mindvault.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

所以我就去搜Mindvault,因为邮件里没有链接。

So I go to search Mindvault because they didn't have a link in the email.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

然后我就去搜Mindvault。

So I go to search Mindvault.

Speaker 1

有个mindvault.com。

There's the mindvault.com.

Speaker 1

还有个mindvault.co。

There's mindvault.co.

Speaker 1

还有一堆乱七八糟的,是谁来着?

There's bloody like, who is it?

Speaker 1

是谁来着?

Who is it?

Speaker 1

所以我就把链接发回去了。

So I actually sent in the link back.

Speaker 1

我回复说,我以为我找到了。

So I actually replied like, I thought I'd found it.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

结果一看,这什么玩意儿?

And looked like like, what the hell is this?

Speaker 1

所以我回邮件说,我不想掺和这事儿。

So I emailed him back and said, I don't wanna be involved in this.

Speaker 1

这到底是什么鬼?

What the hell is this?

Speaker 1

这简直就是垃圾。

This is just this is just garbage.

Speaker 1

然后他说,哦,不是的。

And he said, oh, no.

Speaker 1

那不是我们的网站。

That's not our website.

Speaker 1

我们的网站在那边。

Our website's there.

Speaker 1

他还是没给我他真正网站的链接。

And he still didn't give me the actual correct link to his actual website.

Speaker 1

所以我只好又去找了一遍。

So I had to go find it again.

Speaker 1

我当时想,天哪,哎呀。

I thought, oh, oh, man.

Speaker 1

真是服了。

It's just oh my god.

Speaker 1

叫Mindvault的东西太多了,你居然还想把你的创业公司叫Mindvault。

So there's so many things called Mindvault, and you wanna call your startup Mindvault.

Speaker 1

我确实跟他说过这事。

And I actually told him this.

Speaker 1

我觉得,哥们儿,换个好点的名字吧。

I I think, dude, pick a better name.

Speaker 1

而且说实话,我怀疑他根本不会听到这个。

And it's like, you know, seriously, I doubt he's actually here listening to this.

Speaker 1

但是

But

Speaker 0

我觉得这也是最疯狂的地方。

I mean, is the wild thing too.

Speaker 0

就是说,你去参加那种硬件聚会。

Like, so you're going to this, like, hardware meetup.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

是吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

找货源真的很难。

Like, sourcing is hard.

Speaker 0

软件也很难。

Software is hard.

Speaker 0

在网上吸引关注也很难。

Getting attention on the Internet is hard.

Speaker 0

但像名字这种,你随手一取的东西,你觉得没什么大不了的。

And yet something like a name that you, like, that you do as a one off thing, you think it's not that big a deal.

Speaker 0

你两年前在黑客松上取的。

You did it at a hackathon, you know, two years ago.

Speaker 0

一切都是包袱。

Everything is baggage.

Speaker 0

你懂吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

但一切都是包袱。

Everything's baggage, though.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

你连第一关都没过,真的。

You you just failed at the first hurdle, Literally.

Speaker 1

比如,大概十个里有八个,或者八个初创公司里有两个,嗯,其实不全是初创公司,但你知道,大概五个里有两个吧。

Like, there were, like, two out of 10 or eight startup present well, they weren't all startups, but, you know, maybe two out of five.

Speaker 1

当时大概有五家初创公司在开放麦克风环节,其中两家在名字上就栽了跟头。

There were probably five open mic startups there, and two of them had failed on the name.

Speaker 1

还有一家,你知道,有几个连名字都没有。

And one, you know, there's a couple that just didn't have a name.

Speaker 1

就是那种,嘿。

It's just, hey.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我在做一件很酷的事情。

I'm working on this cool thing.

Speaker 1

如果你感兴趣,就给我发邮件,大概就是这样。

Send me an email if you're interested kind of.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

我是说,这,你知道,不是针对工程师,但我通常能看出什么时候名字是工程师起的。

I mean, that's, you you know, nothing against engineers, but I can usually tell when something's named by engineers.

Speaker 0

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

比如,这个,对。

Like, this Right.

Speaker 1

这需要

It takes a a

Speaker 0

很多思考,真的。

lot of thought, honestly.

Speaker 0

这需要很多思考。

It's it takes a lot of thought.

Speaker 0

我不是说你一定要找什么代理机构。

And I'm not saying you need, like, an agency.

展开剩余字幕(还有 480 条)
Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

那也可能过头了。

That can go too far.

Speaker 0

但是

But

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

你才不想花钱请代理呢。

You don't wanna pay an agent.

Speaker 1

天哪,别把钱给那些不靠谱的人。

God, don't pay some schmuck.

Speaker 1

但至少确保它不能被谷歌搜到。

But at but at least make sure it's not Googleable.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得这对clanker来说也是个很好的任务。

I mean, this is a great task for the clanker too, honestly.

Speaker 0

比如,你可以让clanker来做。

Like, you can have the clanker.

Speaker 0

我之前做这个的时候,它确实给了我很好的反馈,比如告诉我这里有碰撞。

I was doing it for something that was, like, you know, actually giving me, like, good feedback about, like, oh, here's a collision.

Speaker 0

这里有碰撞。

Here's a collision.

Speaker 0

这个可能不是什么大问题。

This one might not be a big deal.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

而且,你懂的,还要考虑其他语言。

And, you know, thinking about other languages too.

Speaker 0

比如说,有很多关于取名字的故事。

Like, there's tons of stories of, like, you know, picking a name.

Speaker 0

要听起来独特一点。

It's something unique sounding.

Speaker 0

基于某个拉丁词根,结果在你要进入的那个国家语言里,它是个脏话。

It's based on some Latin root, and it you know, it's like a cuss word in in, like, a language where you're, like, targeting that country.

Speaker 0

然后就说,别这么干。

And it's like, don't do that.

Speaker 0

那不行。

That's bad.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

就像那个雪佛兰诺瓦。

The like, the the Chevy Nova.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

Nova,意思是不走,那你在墨西哥卖的时候怎么办?

Nova, meaning don't don't doesn't go in when you try and sell that in Mexico?

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

嗯,有人说Pajero这车在西班牙语里意思是手淫者之类的。

Well, somebody said the Pajero car means wanker or something in Spanish.

Speaker 1

你开着那辆手淫者之车到处跑。

You're driving around in the wankermobile.

Speaker 1

就是,我也不知道。

It's just I don't know.

Speaker 0

那这个怎么样?

Well, how about this?

Speaker 0

在一个品牌练习中,我一直等着做这个,因为我知道如果戴夫不这么说,他肯定会说点别的。

In a brand exercise, I've been waiting to do this because I knew I knew Dave would have said something if he said otherwise.

Speaker 0

戴夫,我想让你去一个品牌做得很好、名字起得很好的网站。

Dave, I'd like you to go to a very well branded site, well named site.

Speaker 0

来,我帮你输入。

Here, I'm gonna type it in for you.

Speaker 0

Theamphour.com。

Theamphour.com.

Speaker 1

这个名字挺奇怪的。

That's a weird one.

Speaker 1

The amp hour。

The amp hour.

Speaker 1

保持电流。

Keep current.

Speaker 1

哦,我们换了个新面貌。

Oh, we've changed our look.

Speaker 0

我把所有东西都改了。

I changed everything.

Speaker 0

你不知道这事儿。

You didn't know about it.

Speaker 1

没有。

No.

Speaker 1

我不知道。

I didn't know.

Speaker 1

嗯,我只访问网站。

Well, I only visit the website.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

所以我们有了一个新网站。

So we have a new website.

Speaker 0

它全是静态的。

It's all static.

Speaker 0

就是说,它是静态生成的。

So, like, it's statically generated.

Speaker 0

所以这个东西,简直快得飞起。

So this thing is, like, blazing fast.

Speaker 0

现在每集都有文字稿了。

Every episode has a transcript now.

Speaker 0

这对那些搞垃圾流量的人来说就是个蜜罐。

That's a honeypot for the clanker.

Speaker 1

哦,好的。

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

哦,这是你本地的AI做的。

Oh, this was your local AI doing this.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

大概花了十二天。

It took it took about twelve days.

Speaker 0

确实花了十二天。

It did twelve days.

Speaker 0

所以我在我的Mac mini M4上,用了能找到的最好的whisper模型。

So I I on my Mac mini m four, I used, like, the best whisper model I could find for the Mac mini.

Speaker 0

我让它连续跑了大概十二天。

I had it running for about, like, twelve days continuously.

Speaker 0

有Hermes之类的在监控着。

It was monitored by Hermes and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

然后还有一个叫日志化的东西,它会尝试把不同的说话人分开。

And then there's something called journalization where it, like, tries to separate the different speakers out.

Speaker 0

这基本上就是转录服务在大规模情况下做的事情。

This is, like, basically the same thing that happens on a very large scale if you use, a transcription service.

Speaker 0

不过它并不完美。

Now it's not perfect.

Speaker 0

这一点毫无疑问。

No doubt about that.

Speaker 0

比如,我不得不做了很多手动干预。

Like, I've had to do a bunch of manual intervention.

Speaker 0

有数不清的事情需要我去处理。

There's been countless things that I've had to do.

Speaker 0

但是

But

Speaker 1

哥们,那个范围动画。

Dude, the scope animation.

Speaker 1

你到底是怎么做到的?

How the hell did you do that?

Speaker 0

其实是我和我的哥们儿Claude一起弄的,它实际上是由1250个矢量点组成的。

Well, me and my buddy, Claude, it actually is it's actually, like, 1,250 individual points that are vector.

Speaker 0

它是一个SVG文件。

It's an SVG.

Speaker 1

所以你是从我们的T恤图案,也就是我们的标志图案,扫描下来的。

So you scanned that in from our t shirt graphic from our well, our logo graphic.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

嗯。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

所以它把安培小时标志做成了示波器动画。

So it does the amp hour logo as a as a scope animation.

Speaker 0

然后我基本上就是指导它怎么做,比如,

Then And I basically instructed how to, like,

Speaker 1

跟着做,然后有,

follow along and have,

Speaker 0

像,持久性,对。

like, persistence Yeah.

Speaker 0

就像老式的

Like an old

Speaker 1

琥珀色。

Amber.

Speaker 1

琥珀色CRT。

Amber CRC.

Speaker 1

示波器那样。

Scope has.

Speaker 1

为什么选琥珀色?

Why the choice of amber?

Speaker 0

为了搭配颜色,但点击一下标志。

To match the colors, but click the logo.

Speaker 1

哥们,这太棒了。

Dude, that's that's great.

Speaker 1

聚焦旋钮能用吗?哦,聚焦旋钮真的能用。

Does the focus knob oh, the focus knob works.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

太神奇了。

That's amazing.

Speaker 1

所以它只是生成HTML代码,是吗?

So it it just generates this as HTML code, does it?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

它其实是用了一点JavaScript,但基本上是在SVG上做描边,然后速度越来越快。

It's a it's a little bit of JavaScript, but, yeah, it's it basically is tracing on SVG, and then it goes faster and faster and faster.

Speaker 0

而且效果很棒。

And it's amazing.

Speaker 0

这一切都在你的浏览器里运行。

It's all running it's all running in your browser.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

整个网站加载起来大概只要半秒钟。

This whole site loads up in, like, half a second.

Speaker 1

哦,频率。

Oh, the frequency.

Speaker 1

哦,然后右边那个小的。

Oh, and then the little right.

Speaker 1

你可以在上面看到波形图。

You can get a waveform on there.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yep.

Speaker 1

哦,天哪。

Oh, damn.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

挺酷的。

Pretty cool.

Speaker 0

天哪。

Damn.

Speaker 0

再往下翻,我们现在还有一些别的东西。

So further down the page so we now also have a couple things.

Speaker 0

我们有所有的节目,抱歉。

So we have all of the show sorry.

Speaker 0

首页上放的是排名前六的节目。

The top six episodes are on the front page.

Speaker 1

哦,那我们随便点一个进去看看。

Oh, we'll go into a random right.

Speaker 1

最新一期在最上面,很显眼,下面就是最近更新的几期。

So the latest episode is there, prominent, up the top, and then recent ones under that.

Speaker 1

那我点开最近的一期,看看节目笔记,节目笔记,然后下面就是一大段文字记录。

So I'll go to a recent one, show notes, show notes, and and then massive transcript.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

哦,哇。

Oh, wow.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

那真的很好搜索。

That that is really searchable.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

你知道,因为那是一个真正的静态页面。

That's, you know, because it's a an actual static page.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

超级好。

It's super Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

超级容易搜索。

Super searchable.

Speaker 1

每集的文字量比我想象的要少。

That's not as much text as I thought it would be for each episode.

Speaker 0

这挺有意思的。

That's interesting.

Speaker 0

一个小时。

It's an hour.

Speaker 1

我以为两个人聊一个小时会很多。

I thought, like, an hour of two people yapping.

Speaker 0

通常大约一万字。

Usually about 10,000 words.

Speaker 0

我们现在也有嘉宾页面了。

So we also have guest pages now.

Speaker 0

比如,格雷格,好的。

So, like, Greg Okay.

Speaker 0

上次上节目的那位,现在已经来过五次了。

Who was on the show last time, he's now been on five times.

Speaker 0

你可以在一个页面上看到他所有的节目。

You can see all of his episodes on one page there.

Speaker 0

我们还有很多标题分类之类的功能。

We've got lots of title breakouts and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

比如有话题分类。

There's, like, topics.

Speaker 0

你知道,按话题搜索很方便。

You know, it's easy to search by topic.

Speaker 1

对,都在这里了。

So, yeah, it's all here.

Speaker 1

总之,是的。

Anyway Yeah.

Speaker 1

那真是太棒了。

That's that's very cool.

Speaker 0

还有一件令人兴奋的事,主页底部现在有一个新闻板块。

Also, another exciting thing, the bottom of the homepage, there's now a a news section.

Speaker 0

新闻倒没什么特别的,但我新开了一个T恤印制服务,我们又有AmpHour的T恤了。

News isn't that exciting, but I have a new T shirt printing service, and we have AmpHour T shirts again.

Speaker 1

太好了。

Excellent.

Speaker 1

你用的是哪家?

Who who are you using?

Speaker 0

我现在用的是Printify,而且我还有一个新设计想跟你分享。

Now I'm using Printify, and I also have a new design I wanted to share with you.

Speaker 0

这里再来一次现场反应。

Another another live reaction here.

Speaker 1

你知道的,我可是原版的忠实粉丝。

You do know I'm a big fan of the original.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

不。

No.

Speaker 0

不。

No.

Speaker 0

不。

No.

Speaker 0

这件不是Ampower的T恤了。

This is a non Ampower shirt now.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

哦,不是Ampower的?

Oh, a non Ampower?

Speaker 1

那非Ampower的T恤关我什么事?

Well, why do I care about non Ampower shirts?

Speaker 0

你等着瞧。

You'll see.

Speaker 0

你会喜欢的。

You'll like it.

Speaker 0

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 0

所以我看了Veritasium关于史密斯卡车的视频,顺便说一句,我不知道你有没有看过那个。

So I was watching the Veritasium video about Smith trucks, which, by the way, I don't if you saw that one.

Speaker 0

简直太棒了。

So freaking good.

Speaker 1

我只看了其中一部分。

I've only seen a bit of it.

Speaker 1

我,我还没看完整个

I I haven't watched the whole

Speaker 0

还没看完。

thing yet.

Speaker 0

我简直不敢相信他们竟然做出了那个。

I literally cannot believe that they made that.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我简直不敢相信他们真的做了这个。

I I I cannot believe they made it.

Speaker 0

真的太好了。

It's it's so good.

Speaker 0

讲的是它的历史、怎么用,还有,就是,内容特别密集。

It's about the history of it, how to use it, how like, just, like, what a dense topic.

Speaker 0

然后我就坐在那儿。

And, like, I'm, like, sitting there.

Speaker 0

我眼睛都快翻到后脑勺了,因为那数学太难了。

My eyes are rolling back in my head just because it's just tough math.

Speaker 0

我是说,他们真的做得很好,但确实太难了。

I mean, it real I mean, they did amazing with it, but it is so hard.

Speaker 0

然后我看着这个视频,他们讲到史密斯圆图,还有那些常见的射频黑魔法之类的。

And so I'm watching this thing, and they talk about, you know, Smith charts and the usual RF black magic, whatever.

Speaker 0

然后我就开始想,你知道吗,这真的有点像黑魔法。

And so I started thinking, you know, it is kinda like black magic.

Speaker 0

如果我们把通常用在恶魔崇拜仪式里的五角星,换成史密斯圆图会怎么样?

What if we took, like, the pentagram that's usually in, like, you know, like, a devil worshiping ceremony, and you switch out the pentagram with a Smith chart.

Speaker 0

所以那是一个新的,那是一个新的

And so that's a new that's a new

Speaker 1

我在看那件T恤,我之前完全不知道它是这么来的。

T I I'm looking at the T shirt, and I had no idea that's where it came from.

Speaker 1

我当时就想,这衣服是什么鬼?

Like, I'm going, what is this shirt?

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

我完全没看懂。

I I just did not get it.

Speaker 1

但现在你跟我解释清楚了

But now that you explained it to me

Speaker 0

我可以把它穿在后面。

I can put it on back.

Speaker 0

我就

I'll just

Speaker 1

说懂了,但我还是不喜欢。

say that get it, but I still don't like it.

Speaker 1

不。

Nah.

Speaker 1

抱歉。

Sorry.

Speaker 0

没关系。

That's okay.

Speaker 0

不是所有人都喜欢。

It's not for everyone.

Speaker 1

对。

No.

Speaker 1

那不是一个

That's not a

Speaker 0

不过还有一件事。

But there's one other thing, though.

Speaker 0

我给你看看另一件东西。

Let me show you the other thing.

Speaker 0

我还在Printful上发现他们卖地毯。

I also found out on Printful that they sell rugs.

Speaker 0

你可以打印地毯,我当时就想,哦,我知道该怎么用了。

You can print a rug, and I was like, oh, I know what to do with this.

Speaker 0

所以你看这个。

So check this out.

Speaker 0

好。

Alright.

Speaker 0

现在又多了一个链接。

So now there's another link.

Speaker 1

这个地毯还能当额外的零件收纳用。

This rug doubles as extra part storage.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

挺有意思的。

That's kind of funny.

Speaker 0

对戴夫来说可不是。

Not for Dave.

Speaker 0

好吧。

Alright.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

我觉得大家看到这个会会心一笑。

I can see people getting the chuckle out of that.

Speaker 1

要98澳元。

It's 98 Aussie bucks.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这就是问题所在。

That's the problem.

Speaker 0

就是说,它……

Is that, like, it's

Speaker 1

地毯有多大?

How big is the rug?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

让我开启我的公制思维。

It's like let me turn on my metric brain.

Speaker 1

哦,邮费的感觉。

Oh, postage vibe.

Speaker 1

邮费还要额外加82美元。

It's extra $82 in postage.

Speaker 0

我的天。

Holy shit.

Speaker 0

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我明白了。

I'm getting the yeah.

Speaker 0

我觉得他们是在美国印刷的,所以那可能不会

I think they printed in The US, so that probably would not be

Speaker 1

哦,好的。

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

哦,是在美国印刷的。

Oh, it's printed in The US.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

诺克罗斯·乔丹。

Norcross Jordan.

Speaker 1

哦,所以是印上去的。

Oh, so it's printed on.

Speaker 1

不是织进去的。

It's not woven in.

Speaker 1

哦,这样啊。

It's oh, okay.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

所以你可以直接在地毯上印图案。

So you can just print on top of a rug.

Speaker 0

总之,我们拿到了AmpHour的T恤。

So anyways, we got AmpHour shirts.

Speaker 0

我所有的旧T恤都回来了。

All my old shirts are back.

Speaker 0

我对此很兴奋。

I was excited about that.

Speaker 0

拿到了新T恤。

Got the new shirt.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

嗯,旧T恤最好,就是AmpHour那件。

Well, the old shirt's the best, the AmpHour one.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

Ampower今天其实会穿它。

Ampower's gonna wear wear it today, actually.

Speaker 1

我得再订一件。

I I need to order another one.

Speaker 1

我的那件有点旧了。

Mine's getting a bit Yeah.

Speaker 0

我的肯定不行了。

Mine is definitely No.

Speaker 1

我有好几件呢。

I've got a couple of them.

Speaker 1

一件是浅色的,另一件是黑色的。

I've got one is the light colored one, and the other's the black.

Speaker 0

那件真的很旧了。

That's really old.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

这太旧了。

It's ancient.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我是说,我也可以把那些挂上去。

I mean, I could put those up too.

Speaker 0

我们可以挂不同颜色的,我们有四种不同的配色之类的。

We could put up different color we have, like, four different color ways and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

我们都可以做,不过,挺好的。

We could do all that, but, Cool.

Speaker 0

你知道的。

You know

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

嗯,我对这个网站印象非常深刻,老兄。

Well, I'm very impressed with the site, dude.

Speaker 1

那真是,对。

That's just Yeah.

Speaker 1

太棒了,简直厉害。

Big just kick ass.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我会把这个给我的新员工迪伦看,因为他,哦,对。

I'll show that to my new employee, Dylan, because he's Oh, in yeah.

Speaker 0

所以戴夫有个新员工。

So Dave has a new employee.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

我招了个新员工。

I got a new employee.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 1

周一开始上班的。

Started Monday.

Speaker 1

他已经来了。

He is here.

Speaker 1

他就在那边的另一个工位上。

He's in the other cubicle there.

Speaker 1

他……对。

He's Yeah.

Speaker 1

他正在到处走走看看。

He's wandering around.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

那太好了。

That's great.

Speaker 0

那我们能期待迪伦带来些什么呢?

And so what what should we expect to see from Dylan?

Speaker 1

嗯,他会负责做视频。

Well, he'll be doing videos.

Speaker 1

他会制作内容。

He'll be making content.

Speaker 1

他现在正在尝试剪辑。

He's trying his hand at editing at the moment.

Speaker 1

所以前几天我刚拍了一个视频,他说他想来剪辑。

So I I just shot a video the other day, and he said, I wanna edit it.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

那就试试吧。

Go for it.

Speaker 1

行。

Alright.

Speaker 1

让我看看你的本事。

Show me what you can do.

Speaker 1

所以他的风格可能会完全不同。

So he might have an entirely different style.

Speaker 1

我还没看过呢。

I have not seen it yet.

Speaker 1

所以他会用剪辑给我一个惊喜。

So he's gonna surprise me with what he can do with the edit.

Speaker 1

就是我们做的一个简短拆解。

So just a short tear down that that we did.

Speaker 1

他也挺想做短视频的。

He's keen to do shorts as well.

Speaker 1

所以他会做内容,可能也会参与产品开发,因为他对产品也很感兴趣。

So he'll be making content and possibly working on products because he's keen to work on products too.

Speaker 1

所以就开始重新捡起各种没做完的项目,你知道的,我手头其实也就这些没做完的东西。

So start back on various unfinished projects, you know, which is all I've got really, is unfinished projects.

Speaker 0

大家都一样啊,兄弟。

So say we all, man.

Speaker 0

大家都一样。

So say we all.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我们也在弄店铺巡查的事。

And we're working on the store sightings as well.

Speaker 1

然后我也不太清楚。

And I don't know.

Speaker 1

也许我们也可以帮他们做网站。

Maybe we can work on their website as well.

Speaker 1

也许我们可以,对。

Maybe we can have a Yeah.

Speaker 0

太好了。

Great.

Speaker 0

更好。

Better.

Speaker 0

我很乐意,关于

Happy to about

Speaker 1

我做的那些。

what I did.

Speaker 1

WordPress。

WordPress.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我总体上对WordPress非常不满。

I I am very down on WordPress generally.

Speaker 0

你知道吗,很多人不知道我和Dave做The Amp Hour博客用的就是WordPress,我觉得从一开始就是。

You know, people people don't know WordPress is what Dave and I have used for the the amp hour blog for, I think, the whole time.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

十六年了。

Sixteen years.

Speaker 1

哦,对。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

嗯,那时候它是唯一明智的选择。

Well, it was the only sensible choice back then.

Speaker 1

我的意思是,你知道,当时没有别的选择。

I mean, you know, there was nothing else.

Speaker 1

比如说,你总不能用手写HTML吧?

Like, what are you gonna do when you hand code it in HTML?

Speaker 1

对吧?

You know?

Speaker 1

我是说

I mean

Speaker 0

确实有人这么做,虽然有点挑战,但不是不可能,不过我们可没那个精力。

I mean, some people do, and that's it was, you know, challenging, but not impossible, but we were not up for it.

Speaker 0

而且

And

Speaker 1

那倒不是。

Well, no.

Speaker 1

我以前所有的网站都是直接用HTML手写的。

I I used to hand code all my websites in raw HTML.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

或者我以前确实会。

Or I used to Sure.

Speaker 0

我只是想说,我们投入的时间

I'm just being, like, the amount of time we were putting

Speaker 1

在这上面。

into this.

Speaker 1

你知道吗?

You know?

Speaker 1

用Dreamweaver,兄弟。

Dreamweaver, dude.

Speaker 1

Dreamweaver。

Dreamweaver.

Speaker 0

哦,对。

Oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

经典。

Classic.

Speaker 0

那是我第一个网站。

That was how I that was my first website.

Speaker 0

不。

No.

Speaker 0

抱歉。

Sorry.

Speaker 0

我的第一个网站也是手写的代码。

My first website was also hand coded.

Speaker 0

然后呢,

And then

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

我的也是手写的,然后我好像转到了Dreamweaver,之后可能又用了别的工具。

Mine was hand coded, then I moved to Dreamweaver, I think, and then maybe something else.

Speaker 1

我记得有个澳大利亚的,叫Hotdog。

There was an Aussie one called Hotdog, I think.

Speaker 1

那是互联网泡沫破灭时期的一部分。

That was part of the .com bust.

Speaker 1

不过,是的。

But yeah.

Speaker 1

不。

No.

Speaker 1

我对这个静态网站印象非常深刻。

I'm very impressed with this static website.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这个网站是基于Hugo构建的。

So this one's built on top of Hugo.

Speaker 0

Hugo基本上是一个基于Go语言的静态网站生成器。

Hugo's a Go based static generator, basically.

Speaker 0

它是不是

Does it

Speaker 1

用的还是之前那些链接吗?

use the same links as what were there before?

Speaker 1

让它用原来的链接。

Tell it to use the same links.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

全都对应上了。

It all it all maps.

Speaker 1

哦,好的。

Oh, okay.

Speaker 1

全都对应上了。

It all maps.

Speaker 1

所以现有的搜索引擎会重新抓取,然后它们会发现,哦,现在有了一份小转录稿了。

So the existing search engines will research it, and then they'll go, oh, we've got a little transcript now.

Speaker 1

所以他们就会,是的。

So they'll yep.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 1

这正是我想为我的网站做的事情。

That that that's what I wouldn't mind doing for mine.

Speaker 1

其实我也想这么做,是的。

Like, I'd love to do the same thing, actually Yeah.

Speaker 1

对于主网站来说。

For the main website.

Speaker 1

但是,你知道,我得确保它能兼容广告,还有那些乱七八糟的。

But, you know, I've gotta make sure it's ad compatible and, you know, all that sort

Speaker 0

那些东西。

of stuff.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

完全同意。

Totally.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

完全同意。

Totally.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

我觉得就是这样,你懂吧?

I mean, I think it's just you know?

Speaker 0

而且现在市面上有很多网站构建工具。

And there's tons of, like, site builders that are out there.

Speaker 0

所以,我也用Eleventy。

So, like, I also use Eleventy.

Speaker 0

那也是一个。

That's another one.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

还有Jekyll,很早就有了。

There's Jekyll's, a long time one.

Speaker 0

这些都是静态网站生成器,它们只是生成HTML。

These are all static site generators, so they're just spitting out HTML.

Speaker 0

所以当你推送一个新的markdown文件时,它会在后台生成,不像在CI中那样。

And so when you push a new markdown file, it'll generate on the back unlike in CI.

Speaker 0

实际上,你推送到Git仓库的时候,它就会推送。

It'll actually push it know, you push it to get your Git repo.

Speaker 0

在CI中,它会重新构建整个网站,然后只输出所有的静态HTML文件。

In CI, it'll actually rebuild the whole site, and then it'll just dump all the static HTML files.

Speaker 0

在我们的情况下,它放在Cloudflare上,然后Cloudflare就直接把它当作一个新网站来提供。

In in our case, it's on Cloudflare, and then it just serves it up from Cloudflare as, like, a new as a new site.

Speaker 1

对。

Right.

Speaker 1

所以你的东西是用Claude做的。

So your thing was done on Claude.

Speaker 1

整个东西都是用Claude做的?

The whole thing was done on Claude?

Speaker 0

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

这全都是用Claude做的。

This is all done with Claude.

Speaker 1

明白。

Right.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

所以你是直接在苹果电脑上本地运行Claude,还是它仍然会访问Claude的服务器?

So you just run Claude locally on your Apple, or does it still access the Claude server thing?

Speaker 1

我不知道它是怎么运作的。

I don't know how it works.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

不是。

No.

Speaker 0

这些都是通过我的订阅计划,直接和主服务器通信完成的。

This is all using my subscription plan and talk talking to the main servers.

Speaker 1

哦,我刚才想问,这花了多少钱?

Oh, I I was I was gonna say, how much did it cost?

Speaker 1

花了多少token?

How much did it cost in tokens?

Speaker 0

我按月付费,你知道的,我每个月付100美元订阅费。

I'm on a monthly you know, I pay a $100 a month for my subscription.

Speaker 0

所以我用的是那个套餐。

So I'm on that that plan.

Speaker 0

那挺多的。

That's a lot.

Speaker 0

不过你不需要那个。

You don't need that, though.

Speaker 0

我是说,那是我所有事情都在用的。

Mean, like, you could that's for everything I do.

Speaker 0

你不需要那个。

It's not you don't need that.

Speaker 0

哦,我可以选20美元一个月的套餐,对。

Oh, I can do $20 a month plan or yeah.

Speaker 0

而且,你也可以用各种API来做。

Increasingly, you could do it on the, you know, the various APIs as well.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

所以你可以用

So you could use

Speaker 1

嗯,一个月一百美元

Well, a $100 a month

Speaker 0

挺便宜的。

is cheap.

Speaker 0

路由器,因为你

Router because you

Speaker 1

一个月一百美元就能生成所有这些,然后一旦完成,就完成了。

can generate all this with a $100 a month, and then once you're done, you're done.

Speaker 1

所以你就把它关掉。

So you just shut it down.

Speaker 1

或者,不,

And or do you no.

Speaker 1

那怎么添加新剧集呢?

Does it how do you add new episodes?

Speaker 0

所以你可以手动编写它们。

So you could hand code them.

Speaker 0

其实就是Markdown。

It's just markdown.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

Markdown是一种文件格式,就像文档风格的格式。

So markdown's like a file format that's just like a documentation style format.

Speaker 0

对。

Mhmm.

Speaker 0

然后你可以自己把它推送到Git。

And then you could push that to Git yourself.

Speaker 0

其实之后我会告诉你更多,但确实也有一个CMS后端。

There's actually I'll tell you more about it afterwards, but there is actually a CMS backend as well.

Speaker 0

有个叫Svelteia的东西,真的很有意思。

There's this thing called Svelteia, which is really interesting.

Speaker 0

它实际上通过GitHub认证,让那些无聊的人,比如想聊电阻的人,可以登录。

And it's actually it does GitHub authentication whereby boring people that are like, I wanna talk about resistors.

Speaker 0

它通过GitHub进行身份验证,然后实际上在JavaScript中加载一个内容管理系统。

It does GitHub authentication, and then it actually loads up like a a content management system in JavaScript.

Speaker 0

所以它又是在浏览器里运行的,但身份验证是通过GitHub完成的。

So it's like all in the browser again, but it does authentication using GitHub.

Speaker 0

这个也特别好用。

And that's been great too.

Speaker 0

然后,比如你保存一个新节目,它会把内容推送到你的Git仓库。

And then so, like, you go and save a new episode, it pushes the stuff to your Git repo.

Speaker 0

所以,就是手动操作。

So, like, manually.

Speaker 0

所以这很棒。

So it's great.

Speaker 0

明白了。

Gotcha.

Speaker 1

不错。

Cool.

Speaker 1

不错。

Cool.

Speaker 1

我知道。

I know

Speaker 0

嗯,这个嘛,

it's Well,

Speaker 1

对,我真的得——也许我可以把这个任务交给Dylan。

yeah, I really have to It's it's maybe I can that's a task I can give to Dylan.

Speaker 1

是的。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

用AI做一个新网站,我可以让他跟你聊聊,搞清楚怎么做,然后直接照搬你的做法,因为

A new website in AI, and I can get him to talk to you and figure out and just copy what you did because

Speaker 0

看起来

it seemed

Speaker 1

效果挺不错的。

to work pretty well.

Speaker 1

所以,是的。

So yeah.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

非常印象深刻。

Very impressed.

Speaker 1

没错。

Yep.

Speaker 1

哦,说到订阅和那些乱七八糟的东西,我今天早上刚和迪伦聊过这个。

Oh, speaking of subscriptions and shit, we were just I was just talking about this this morning with Dylan.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

关于发货,你知道的,我做了很多打包和发货的工作。

The shipping, the you know, I do a lot of packing and shipping.

Speaker 1

我用了一家叫Star Ship It的公司,这是一家澳大利亚公司,它会把你在Shopify上的所有订单拉下来,然后为你要用的各种快递公司生成标签。

And and I use a company called Star Ship It, is an Aussie company, which is a pulls it, you know, in all your orders from Shopify, and it's the thing that generates the labels for the various courier companies that you use.

Speaker 1

你知道,这是个发货系统。

You know, it's a shipping system.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

而且它要么是按月付费,要么是按年付费的。

And and it's either a monthly or a yearly plan thing.

Speaker 1

所以我用的是按年付费的方案。

So I'm on this yearly plan.

Speaker 1

一年大概五百美元左右,但每个月只有250个标签。

That's like $500 a year or something, but I only get 250 labels a month.

Speaker 1

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 1

我正好卡在每月250个标签这个档位上。

And I'm on the edge of the 250 label per month plan.

Speaker 1

如果一个月超过250个标签,哪怕只多一个,价格就会立刻翻三倍,变成每月一千个标签的那种方案。

And if I go one label over that 250 labels in a month, then they you know, I've I've got a instantly like, the price triples or something to go to a thousand labels a month.

Speaker 1

然后我就想,天哪。

And it's like, oh my god.

Speaker 1

哇。

Wow.

Speaker 1

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 1

然后他们还有2000个标签的套餐。

And then they've got 2,000 labels on.

Speaker 1

你想要每月3000个标签吗?

Would you like 3,000 labels a month?

Speaker 1

那是另一个套餐。

That's another plan.

Speaker 1

还有5000个,天哪。

And five like, oh my god.

Speaker 1

这些限制都是随便定的。

These are arbitrary limits.

Speaker 1

这其实就是

This is just

Speaker 0

一个SaaS。

a SaaS.

Speaker 1

他们设的那些乱七八糟的限制,你懂吧?

These arbitrary freaking limits that they put on, you know?

Speaker 1

还有,唉,这真的让我很生气。

And there's oh, it's just this pisses me off.

Speaker 0

我觉得,你知道,这其实是一个挺有意思的,另一个应用领域。

I think, you know, this is an interesting, like, another, like, application space.

Speaker 0

我觉得如果你试过几次,你就会想,你知道吗?

I I think if you do it a couple times, you're like, you know what?

Speaker 0

我干脆直接用一些代币,让那个clanker帮我做个工具算了。

I'm gonna just go and, like, use some tokens, have the clanker, like, build a tool for me.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

而且那确实能行,可以行,也真的行。

And that actually will work, can work, does work.

Speaker 0

不过我觉得,你最后真正要付的,其实是维护费,还有——对,没错。

And yet, I think what you realize what you end up paying for is, like, maintenance and, like Oh, yeah.

Speaker 0

就是不想自己去折腾那些事。

Not wanting to just deal with it.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

你知道,就拿这个例子来说,UPS改了他们的API。

You know, like, because for in just in this specific example, UPS changes their API.

Speaker 0

对。

Yep.

Speaker 0

然后你就得去处理。

And it's like, you show up.

Speaker 0

你自己针对它建了个工具。

You you build your own tool against it.

Speaker 0

效果很好。

Works great.

Speaker 0

效果很好。

Works great.

Speaker 0

效果很好。

Works great.

Speaker 0

三个月后

Three months later

Speaker 1

你是在为便利买单。

You're paying for the convenience.

Speaker 0

对。

Yeah.

Speaker 0

而且你需要寄东西。

And you need to ship something.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yep.
