Oh my god. It was it's it's been it's been awful. I do not recommend getting tendonitis a week before you move. Negative a 100 out of 10. Was terrible.

It was terrible. I don't know. Like, I woke up and my knee my left knee was twice the size as it normally is. And I couldn't quite figure out what I did. I didn't know.

It was hard to walk. It was just this whole this whole issue. And then my boyfriend was like, you know, if you didn't wanna move so badly, you just could have told me. You coulda hired movers. Like, you didn't have to injure your knee.

但其实是我的肌腱，物理治疗师判断是连接膝盖的腘绳肌腱，不知为啥对我特别不爽。已经一个月了，我现在才能坐着、起身不龇牙咧嘴，但还是不能做太多事。不幸的是，新家有两层——算上平台的话，其实是四段楼梯。

But it's, it's my tendon. It's the, what we've kind of figured out with the physical therapist is that it's the hamstring tendon that connects to the knee that's, like, very upset at me for reasons I don't know. So it's been, like, a month, and I'm now just, like, starting to be able to, like, sit up and sit down and stand up without wincing and that kind of stuff. But still can't do a ton of stuff. And unfortunately, the new place has two well, two flights of stairs.

Because it's not just like, oh, you need to pick up your pack of your clothes and move everything. You've gotta, like, change all your services and Yeah. Update your information at the bank and at work and all that kind of stuff.

And we had to get some new furniture in. It's like, Okay, well, which ones do we get first and which ones do we wait? I mean, again, there's just a million different decisions. And it's also, like, super nice out, so it was annoying that, like, I could help for a little bit, and then I had to sit on the couch and ice it. So I wasn't it's not like I could just, like, go go go and unpack for, like, hours every day.

I just had to I just had to take it slower, which is annoying. And and it's just everything's new to get used to. So it's like we had a really goofy thing too where when we moved in, all of the Ethernet cables were cut at the demark, which is, like, where, you know, they land the cable to the service. That's called the demark. And so when you went to the utility room, there was only one of those, and it only serviced one coax cable on the Main Floor. And all the rest of them were cut, and I have no idea why. So we actually didn't have, like, Internet because like, we had to figure out our Internet issue because of that.

So that was great. I realized at that spot, we were in a different tax bracket. Holy shit. We usually go to the spas that are in the old port because they're way more accessible. This one, I had gift cards for Strom, and the only one in Montreal is on Nuns Island.

Because we have to take the two lines of metros to then get on the REM, which is the new the new light train, to then get off at the REM station on Nuns Island and then take a bus to the spa.

And so that was enough for us to get in and to go to the restaurant to have a platter of cheese and shit that we shared and each a glass of wine. I think I ended up paying $6 out of pocket for the restaurant just to cover the tip. Yeah. But yeah. So I was like, good thing because that was expensive to get there.

Yeah, in a long ass time.

He had it together in about an hour. Considering I remember seeing times when my dad was putting together barbecue and had put like absolutely every little mini piece.

I feel like it comes essentially the big piece comes together now. You don't have to put that together your part together yourself. But, yeah, we have had barbecue twice now in two days because it's staple a in my house. We are those crazy people that barbecue when it is the dead of winter.

When we were out, though, tried to get said barbecue. The night before I had been playing Ritual of Raven, and I am very much at the point where it's super duper grindy, where I have to make like the top cross bread flowers in the entire game. So it's like multiple levels. So I had taken Post its and wrote out everything and stuck them to the table. Guess who decided to eat said Post its while we were gone?

I came back, and there was one out of four, and I think this of the Post its left and no stack of Post its. But the pen was still there. And then I went in and looked at the Furbo, and there's this one glitch in between two clips where you can see him sniffing them. And then the next one where there's, like, four on the table, then the next one where there's only one remaining post

But it has come in disrepair.

in order to unlock the ice cream parlor, you needed the employee code for the machine. So for that, we went on a quest to find the instruction manual that we found broken. And then you need to find tape because it got ripped up and glue it back together so you could get the code.

And the workshop, there's like a table where you can set up, but there's literally a fan next to you. Just kind of like blowing and my friends like, of course, that's the perfect place to tape this. And then she does the little like prompt, like the Q, the QTE mini game to like do the thing. And she has to look at the controller because she usually plays Nintendo. So when it shows a she's like, which one is a again, right?

结果她狂按B，操。完成动作的动画直接就是魔法，星星一闪，砰，代码就出来了。她当场爆炸：‘既然最后只是施个破魔法，那我们找胶带干嘛？’

Just like, no, I'm hitting B. Fuck. And then the animation for that for us to complete the thing is literally magic. It just does like little star and poof, you have your code. She was like, Why did we go look for tape if all I was going to do was cast a fucking magic spell?

And then we went to the ice cream shop near my place because not the bourbon because they had like a special. Yeah. We didn't play overcooked, we went for actual ice cream because they had a special thing that was cheesecake, lemon curd and lime curd mixed in with Oh the ice gosh. So of course, I was just marching there like, I got to get the thing. And then this ice cream shop has a little patio in the back that gives out on the alley.

Your game is going to get bigger and bigger and bigger. And every time you ship data, it's costly, but also each console will tell you how much you can ship. But also, they have a hard cap for how big your game can be. Oh, I know that because on For Honor, we're still on PlayStation four and Xbox One.

And that puts a strain on CPU and RAM. I know PlayStation. I forget which is which. Xbox One, PlayStation four, one has a huge CPU bottleneck and one has a huge ram bottleneck, And I think Xbox is the CPU talking out of my ass here. But essentially, like these old consoles are really are getting harder and harder to support if you want to have modern features.

I was actually the reason I'm sharing this story, I'm like, how are they still on PlayStation four?

But, yeah, at some point you hit a wall and you see how many people are actually playing on those consoles versus how much work is involved and you got to like make a make a call or you don't want it to hold down and hold back the current player base where most of most of their your players are playing on. Or $5.50. I don't know. And that was well within the prices of getting a used PS5 from anywhere selling them. It's not that cheaper than, you know, like that much cheaper than buying it new, mind you, that was before the recent price increase. But, yeah, it's like they were so hard to come by.

我觉得既然现在支持跨平台、跨进度，那干脆买个Xbox Series S玩Xbox，或者搞台便宜点的游戏PC也行。不知道这游戏吃不吃配置，要是PS4还能跑，优化应该不错，但PC版有时候他们就偷懒。

I think at this point, if they have they have cross play and cross progression. Pretty sure they do. At this point, it's probably easier to get an Xbox Series S and play on Xbox or get a cheaper gaming computer and play on I don't know how hungry this game is. Like, if they're still on PlayStation four, like their optimization must be good, but sometimes they get lazy with PC versions.
