There was another peculiarity about Buzzfeed's email.

The looking for comment email for something as serious as an allegation of child sexual abuse over thirty years ago would normally be sent days, even weeks in advance, to give the accused time to check records, seek legal advice and craft a response.

Strange oversight given that Barman could offer vital confirmation of the circumstances of their trip to the Limelight Nightclub.
