This quote has been living in my head rent free for the past year.
Now a few years ago when I first started creating content online because I wanted to get out of doing cold outreach to land freelance clients, I started to notice people, specifically creators who were building 1 to $10,000,000 one person businesses, and they weren't working all day.
I think Justin Welch is a perfect example of this.
He highly values his time, and he only works for a little bit in the morning, but he has the pieces of a business that we're going to talk about that allow him to make that much money.
This is actually possible now thanks to the Internet, social media, and AI.
People still don't realize how much leverage and power they have as an individual.
We are completely beyond the getting paid for your time model.
We are completely in the get paid for your mind and value model, which is completely detached from time.
And for a lot of people that doesn't click, but the best way I can explain it is you can write one piece of content.
And if that content gets a million views and you get 1% of those people to buy a $100 product, I will let you do the math.
Now, of course, you probably aren't going to get a million views on your first piece of content, but I think you get the point.
It is something that you practice.
It is a skill that you can develop, and it is one of the highest value skills that companies, creators, everyone is hiring for right now.
That's why this video may be very important to you.
So these creators that I noticed who were building 1 to $10,000,000 one person businesses, what they were doing was selling either an education or info product or coaching or a mix of both with social media as their way of distribution, not paid ads, not sponsoring podcasts, not billboards, not the radio, not TV, social media, because that's where the attention is.
Building an audience is free.
Creating information is free.
This is the low risk business model for the beginner because with things like ecommerce, you have to invest capital in the product.
There is no startup costs aside from the time invested in learning the skill to start a one person social media business in today's world.
But from then a few years ago and then building those businesses to now, things are much different.
Back then, you could build a 1 to $10,000,000 one person business, and the average person was completely oblivious to that opportunity.
And so they're even more oblivious to this new opportunity thanks to AI.
And now GPT six Astra and Fable 5.1 and whatever the next model is gonna be just make it even more possible.
And your competitive advantage here is that the average person is just completely oblivious.
They don't do anything, and they're not going to change their habits.
But the beautiful, very beautiful thing about this is that you don't need to make a million dollars.
You don't need to make $10,000,000.
Most people watching this just want to replace their current income sources.
That could be $75,000 a year, a $100,000 a year.
And what I'm telling you is that that is incredibly achievable.
That doesn't mean that it's easy or is gonna happen quick.
I'm just saying that it is very achievable.
For myself, when I first started out, my goal was to be able to afford Chipotle for lunch every day, and I'm proud to say that I achieved that pretty quickly, and I don't eat Chipotle for lunch every day now even though I'm probably gonna have it today.
But ever since I was a kid, I just didn't want to go down the default path.
I was very observant as a kid to those around me, and it just didn't make sense to go to school and get an education and pay a ton of money to get an education that would be completely irrelevant in ten years.
And then getting a job that you're dependent on and takes up all of your time so you can't self educate on the side and shift direction and then marrying someone that you despise and then being promised retirement but never really being able to stop working, that was all normal and it disgusted me.
So from that, I came to the realization that entrepreneurship was the only path out.
That was the path for me, whether I liked it or not, because it was this big mysterious thing.
Starting a business was something that I wasn't capable of doing at the time.
And so that's what I did.
I failed over and over again.
I started a fitness YouTube channel.
I tried drop shipping minimalist wallets.
I tried selling blue light glasses.
I did freelance SEO and Facebook ads and web design until I finally had to get a job because the student and credit card debt was just piling up.
And when I did get that job, I saw the job as a deadline.
I knew that if I didn't make my own thing work soon that I would start drowning in bills and responsibilities and I wouldn't be able to get out.
So about seven years ago, I was able to quit my full time job to do freelance web design because that was one of the skills that I had.
About six years ago, I started on social media and made around $10,000 with digital products.
The next year it was $100,000 then $800,000 and I have a video on how I did that while writing two hours a day.
Then the next year was around $4,000,000 and my tax bill had officially quadrupled to what my old salary was.
And then as I made the stupid, hopefully long term decision to get into software, my income started to stabilize around 1 to 1,500,000 a year because I had to shift time and focus to software and shovel a ton of money into it because we're bootstrapped.
And I still have not paid myself a penny from Cortex or the new, what it is, eden, but we are getting there.
Eden
Eden is very quickly picking up steam, and you guys are not going to believe the next update.
So what I'm saying is I have a lot to share on the one person business thing, and I can see it from the top down because my audience and my customers are quite literally one person businesses, and I can see what's working, what's not working.
And when it comes to AI, I kind of have front row seats as to how that can help you build this thing faster.
So let's actually get started and begin.
We're going to talk about why your interests or unique value plus social media or free distribution plus AI or cheap force multiplication equals a profitable one person or one human business.
Now as a one person business, you're going to post on social media.
切。
Boo.
I know it's so hard to write for thirty minutes in the morning and then post it where everyone else in the world has the potential of seeing it.
But as I said, social media is where the attention is right now, and you probably don't have the capital to invest in paid ads or paying creators $2,500 to post one reel about your product.
The prices for this UGC stuff is just getting insane.
I personally think it's better to just hire in house or build your own audience as the founder.
Now in this video, I'm also assuming that you don't care to start a service business or a client business like freelancing or agency work because you want some form of freedom and a creative lifestyle.
Now some of what we're gonna talk about will apply to you if you have that style of business because you should probably build an audience either way, but I personally prefer writing and building products that sell while I sleep.
Now we're going to talk about what this one person business looks like.
What is it composed of and what are the pieces that you need?
And then I'm going to give you little AI employees that you can just start using.
The link to them is in the description.
You can just start chatting and you will essentially be able to run your business from those six employees that I give you.
You can do it in eden with one click and they're all in one place, or you can download the individual skill file that you would upload to Claude.
Or you can add them to eden and then connect eden to the Claude via the MCP so that Claude is able to see trending social media posts and do research, and it can access these custom AIs or these employees.
So the first thing we need to nail down when it comes to building a one person business is just brand, which is how you present yourself or your business to the world.
Now in your personal life, when people think of your name, what do they think of?
What do they associate you with?
Are you cool to be around?
What are your likes and your dislikes?
Are you fun to be around?
Are you funny?
Are you helpful?
Are you trustworthy?
Are you valuable?
What do people come to you for?
Things like that.
So brand is that, but for your business.
It's like a digital storefront or a digital identity.
It's what makes people buy your app or your course or your coaching or your ecommerce product over someone else's even if it's a worse product because there are plenty of incredible, amazing apps, courses, etcetera, but you don't even hear about them because you don't even know they exist.
And if you did know they exist, if a creator that you liked who had helped you before because you spent so much time with their content offered a similar product, you would buy the creator's product that you liked.
This is how marketers or people who study marketing, not digital marketing, but actual marketing, make 10 x more than programmers who just build little portfolio apps and don't know how to sell them.
Now as a one person business, your brand is a personal brand.
And even if you're not a one person business, look at Elon Musk.
看看MrBeast。
Look at mister Beast.
Look at most of the celebrities today.
They all are building a personal brand because that's what you do in today's world.
A personal brand is one of the most effective business growth strategies because it's free to do.
And if done correctly, you barely have to actually market yourself.
So it's your values, it's your worldview, and your story externalized.
So one of the little AI employees that I give you below interviews you for information about yourself to extract all of these things into what is a comprehensive personal brand strategy document that you can then give to any other AI.
Like, at any time when you're in any chat, you have this document that you can take with you anywhere.
This is necessary because it gives you your vision, your anti vision, your content pillars.
So all of the content ideas that you're going to generate, if you want them to have a through line and impact, should at least start from this personal brand strategy document.
Now the second thing you need as a one person business is an offer, which is what people pay you for that helps them get a result.
So you need a product or service.
That's kind of obvious.
You can't make money without one.
And you can.
You can go the audience route and just build, build, build your audience and then take brand deals, which is a very profitable thing to do, but it just makes sense to have your own product or service these days.
Now the difference between an offer and a product and service is that an offer is the perceived value of that product or service.
It's how you package it.
It's the deal that you're making.
This is one of the most profitable skills you can learn, offer creation, because once you nail the offer, the landing page, the copywriting, the marketing, and the rest just becomes so much easier because it's already there.
And that's what you compete on.
You're not competing on the product or service level.
You're competing on the offer level.
So the amount of value compared to the price.
So if you were to take a second brain app or a research tool like the YouTube research tool that everyone uses, and then you look at eden, is able to research all platforms through the MCP, through the chat, and have all of your ideas, notes, links, posts, and soon products in one place.
Eden is obviously the better deal, if you'll allow me to brag for a bit, and it has social scheduling, so it replaces another app too.
It's the entire creator workflow.
But offer creation is the art of pulling four levers.
The first is the dream outcome, so what the customer actually wants.
Two is the delivery mechanism, so how you get them there.
Is it a course?
Is it coaching?
Is it a supplement?
What is the unique mechanism for those things?
What is your way of doing it?
Getting them the dream outcome.
Three is the speed of results.
So how fast you get them there?
And four is the guarantee.
So what happens if it fails?
Those are the four things you need.
Write those down.
And again, the AI will help you create your offer.
Now the third thing you need as a one person business is distribution.
So how you spread your brand or offer.
And I love this quote from Jack Butcher, build distribution, then build whatever you want Because we're living in the Internet age where attention equals leverage.
You can have the best brand.
You can have the best product, but none of that matters if nobody knows you exist.
So distribution for what we're concerned with is everything from marketing to sales to content to ads to your landing page and website.
It's how people find you, learn about you, and pay you.
That's what a funnel is.
As an example, you found me probably through social media content.
You're watching this on YouTube right now, and if I can display the value of my knowledge enough, you may grow to trust me to the point of using or paying for one of my products, not because I swindled you into it, but because you see it as something useful for your own goals.
It's mutual benefit, value exchange.
Now I could also run paid ads or sponsor other people's newsletters, both of which I've tried before and will probably do in the future again.
But as a beginner with little capital, you have to look at this like stepping stones.
You aren't gonna run paid ads to an offer that isn't proven or isn't gonna sell.
You're just gonna waste money.
And yes, you can test through the ads, but you're testing with your own money.
On social media, you're testing your ideas, your products, and services for free.
If you aren't growing or you aren't selling anything, then there is room for improvement.
It's trial and error.
You just have to experiment.
And if that doesn't work, experiment again.
And if that doesn't work, learn something new and then experiment.
And eventually, you have all of these tools in your tool belt so that you become skilled at this thing called business so that you can essentially make money at the click of a button because you know what you're doing.
As you practice, you're not just learning one skill.
You're learning human psychology, attention mechanics, writing, content, persuasion.
All of these different things come together to make you an effective business owner.
So we're going to talk about these AI employees or this AI team or honestly just skills or prompts.
They're all the same thing.
Context for the AI.
What these are gonna do is it's gonna guide you through all of this, but by doing it and actually posting it, then you get feedback against the market.
You're not outsourcing your brain to AI just by having it do things for you because that's not what learning is in the first place.
You don't learn anything by watching a tutorial.
You learn by applying what you learn to the actual real world thing that you're trying to do.
And then if it works, then you learned.
And if it didn't work, then you learned.
But if you don't give it the chance to work or not to work, then you're not learning a thing.
And even if it doesn't work the first time around, now you know that AI isn't just gonna replace everything overnight.
You understand that reality still exists and that getting results isn't always a linear step by step process and that it evolves as culture changes and what is perceived as valuable changes.
So let's start to simplify this.
Here's what you're going to do to actually start this business.
So this is going to be your daily routine.
The first thing you're gonna do is post one to three times a day on a short form platform of your choice.
This can be Substack X, LinkedIn, Instagram, etcetera, and you just need to pick the one that you vibe with the most.
Now on the eden channel, I'm actually creating tutorials on how to grow and write content for all of these platforms.
There's already quite a few videos out, so you can go and watch those because obviously this video would be ten hours long if I did that here, but you're starting with one short form platform and you're getting really good at it.
I started on Twitter, but if I were starting over today, I'd probably start on Substack simply because it has long form and short form notes, the growth mechanism in one place, and it's just writing.
So I wouldn't have to show up on video.
I can sit down.
I can get my coffee, and I can write ideas that I love in the morning and attempt to grow on that platform.
And your followers on Substack aren't followers.
They're newsletter subscribers.
So you own the list.
You can export it and take it somewhere else, which you can't do on any other platform.
And I'm assuming that most of you watching this have multiple interests, have deep interests, you like deep thought.
And Substack is just the best place for that.
And I see a lot of beginner creators gaining traction.
Now, the second thing you're gonna do is post one long form piece a week on Substack X or YouTube, but probably Substack because that's probably where you'll start, but you can do the same thing on X because they have articles now.
So all platforms are kinda moving to this short form, long form dynamic because that's what creators want.
Creators understand that the more time people spend with your content, aka time under attention as I call it, like time under tension for muscle growth, it's time under attention for social media growth.
People who watch a one hour long or thirty minute long YouTube video are going to have so much more trust in you than someone who watches a fifteen second reel.
They would have to watch hundreds of those reels to watch the same amount of content as the thirty to sixty minute YouTube video.
Same thing goes for written articles like Substack or X articles.
So the way to make this palatable or something that you can do is to block off thirty minutes every morning.
So you're gonna have thirty minutes for writing short form content, and what that means is not staring at a blank screen.
It means researching with the AIs I'm going to give you, deciding on an idea, and then writing it out as an engaging short form post.
Most people struggle with the first two.
They don't research.
They don't learn.
They don't read.
They don't get the idea.
They don't treat that as a part of the writing process that needs to be in the same time block.
And then two, they don't decide on an idea.
The idea has to be perfect before they start writing on it.
When the writing is how you refine the idea.
So just pick a fucking idea and write it.
Now the second thirty minutes is for writing maybe 250 words for the long form piece.
That can be the YouTube script, the x article, or the Substack article.
What I recommend doing at the start of every week is outlining what it is you're going to write that week.
You're going to pick the topic and you're going to start brainstorming the outline and structuring it, which is what one of the AIs helps you with.
And now the third thing you're gonna do is you're going to try to promote your offer once a day.
So you promote it in your long form piece somewhere in the middle.
You just say, hey, if you're struggling with x y z, try this, and then link your product or service.
And then at the end, do the same thing.
It's that simple.
It's that short.
If you don't know how to do it, give your newsletter to AI and say, hey, I want to plug this in the middle and at the end, what's a tasteful way of promoting this?
And of course, since you are probably only posting long form once a week, then what you're going to do is promote once a day in another form.
However, you can.
It just has to be a part of your day.
You can link a reply to one of your posts on Substack or X using the simple PAS framework to promote your product or service, which stands for problem amplify solution.
What's the problem?
If you struggle with this, this, this, and this, here's the solution linked to the product.
Do it in your Instagram stories.
Do it as a call to action on an Instagram post.
Hey, comment keyword if you struggle with this, this, and this, and want this.
So that is the entire process.
You build distribution by writing content, you promote your offer.
If you haven't built an offer yet, then that's what you have to focus on as well.
That's what you'll be able to build inside of eden by just taking the knowledge inside of your head and turning it into an AI product that doubles as a course, and that'll make more sense when it actually launches.
So keep an eye out for that because you will make more money by simply hosting your product on eden than any other platform just because it's on eden.
So with this entire process, there are a few things that we can do or that we can use the AI for.
The first is as a brand strategist.
So creating a personal brand strategy so you don't blend in with everyone else and studying how your content is doing to propose growth tactics for you.
This is like the meta layer that everything else falls under.
The second is as a content strategist, which researches what's performing across social media, understands all of your prior content, pairs them with your brand strategy, and delivers a week of ideas for you to post about or have it draft content for you to edit if that's your cup of tea.
Now one thing that you may not realize if you're not like a heavy AI user is what I'm telling you here.
You can just copy paste.
You can just take this YouTube transcript.
There's a free YouTube transcript generator at eden.so/tools, or you just paste it into eden.
And you say, hey, help me implement this newsletter.
Help walk me through how we can actually set up a workflow to do all of these things.
And then you converse with it back and forth until you get it right.
And we're gonna talk about how to get it right in the last section of this video because you need to understand how to actually use AI.
Now the third thing we can use it for is as a long form specialist or outliner, which understands long form frameworks and retention strategies, helping you outline a newsletter article or video script with your ideas in a well structured way.
Fourth, we can use it as a short form specialist, which takes your rough ideas and turns them into post drafts that you can review, edit, and schedule to go out on all platforms.
Fifth is an offer consultant, which helps take your experience, interest, and expertise and turns it into a compelling offer and helps you decide between what product or service to start with.
And then sixth is the marketing strategist.
So it takes your offer, brand strategy, and customer avatar then helps generate social promotions, email promotions, and landing page copy.
Now I've actually created all of these for you inside of here, and I'll show you what they look like really quick.
But if you actually want to use them, there's the link in the description or go to eden.so/kits/1-human-business, and then all you do is click this button, set up my business, and it will add them to your workspace, or you can download them individually as skill files for Claude or ChatGPT.
And for those of you who are waiting for the two hour writer update, it is being updated and we're still polishing this, but this is what it will look like.
All of the modules will be in here.
You'll be able to go through the curriculum and chat with it as you go so it can help you actually implement it, and it has the entire course and modules as context.
So this is what you're going to be able to sell inside of eden as a product, not just a generic course or an AI skill.
You're going to sell the whole package, and it will be branded as your own.
But these are how they're going to look inside of your workspace.
And when you add all of them, you can just switch between them here and all of your chats for each one that you create are all in here.
So it's like your little command center for all of your little one person business AI.
So one of my favorites is the long form outliner.
So all you have to do when you want to create a nearly viral Substack article or article or newsletter is you come into here, you click one of the starter prompts like outline a newsletter or outline a YouTube script, and then it will interview you for the idea.
And then it has the knowledge on how to write those things.
And then since this is inside of eden or you connect Claude to the eden.
C p, it can then research everything that's going viral across Substack, x articles, YouTube scripts, etcetera, because then it can pull the patterns and principles from the titles, the headlines, the structures of the actual articles so that it can help shape your own ideas in a way that will perform.
And then what it does is it gives you an outline that you can then put into a board and you can write alongside it because I personally like to have AI outline things and research for me so that I have more control over the actual writing itself.
So then I have my little writing workspace in here too.
And then when it's time to publish to Substack or any social media platform, I just go to the publish tab and I can do it all from here.
So I spent a lot of time on these.
These are free to use.
Of course, you're gonna have to pay for Claude or ChatGPT or eden if you want a decent amount of AI usage to actually run through it, but that's just how these things go.
The actual context, the knowledge inside of these AIs is free for you to use, and it's structured around things that work.
Because if you just ask AI like a general clod chat for these things, it's gonna have no idea what to do, and it's going to give you horrible information.
You need to shape and mold the context around what works.
So I'd recommend going through these in the order I listed above.
So brand strategy first, then content strategy, and then you base your short form and long form posts off of those.
And once you have an offer, then you can use the marketing strategist one.
And then once you refine this process enough, you can start to run these on routines.
So in the content strategist, can just say, hey, do this every Monday for me and put it inside of a table so that all of the ideas are there and I can take them and run with them.
And now you'll notice that none of these, at least the ones that I created, have it do the writing for you.
It doesn't actually create the content for you because I don't think that's wise to do as a beginner, and I personally don't think we're at the point where we should automate that side of things yet, even though I'm kind of changing my opinion on writing with AI AI because ultimately you choose, which we'll kind of go over in a sec.
But if you want the AI to do those things for you to write for you, then I'm not entirely opposed to it, but you have to understand what we're gonna discuss in a second.
So now I want to go over the best way to use AI in general when doing any of this because there's so much information on social media.
You're getting you're just drowning in the Instagram reels telling you to download a specific skill like a Claude skill that you plug in and then it does things for you, which is great.
But if you don't know how to actually think about using AI or go about using it, then you're gonna run the skill just like you downloaded a notion template, and then it's gonna give you something.
You're gonna be like, oh, that's cool.
And then you're gonna leave it, Or it's gonna give you something that sucks, and you're gonna be like, oh, this doesn't work or AI just sucks or AI bad or AI just makes things up and hallucinates, so I'm not gonna trust it.
Even though that's not how it works, people are just as stupid and hallucinate just as much.
And if you go on social media, 99% of the people are giving you misinformation.
There has never not been a time where you don't have to think critically for yourself, and just because you use AI doesn't mean that just goes out the window.
Now this section is going to lose quite a few people because it's a difficult process to understand and it doesn't make sense until you actually do it.
And it takes a certain level of systems thinking to understand it and implement it.
But if you watch through this and you try to understand it, then when you go about using AI, the next time around, you'll start to notice it and implement new things.
Now the problem with AI is that people think of it as some kind of just all powerful being.
And since it's not an all powerful being, even though we essentially have AGI at this point and many GPT six Astra and Fable 5.1 still aren't able to do things very well without proper context.
But since it's not an all powerful being, when it doesn't do exactly what they want, what the person wants because they don't know what they want, they just assume it's only capable of generating slop.
And now a great example of this, I saw a reel the other day where some guy was just saying, hey, don't use chat GPT to build your website if you're a small business owner because we can tell that it's AI.
And now if you actually use AI, you find this laughable.
It's true.
If you just tell AI, hey, build a website for this, this, and this, then it's gonna look like every other AI generated website.
But if you give it examples and clear instructions, then at least you're off to a better start, but that's not the full picture.
After that, you actually have to start digging into the details.
You have to tweak the border radius and the color and the drop shadow and the layouts and how you want things to be.
At that point, when you have the prototype or the template or the first draft, then you do what any other designer would do in Photoshop or Figma.
You go through and you make all of the tiny detail adjustments so that it becomes unique.
It becomes premium.
AI can in fact make minor changes.
You don't have to try to one shot everything or when you're editing a video.
对。
Yeah.
You can have it go through and you can have it cut everything and put animations everywhere, but that's the broad sweep.
And then when you go through, you're like, oh, this sucks.
And then you stop using it.
When you just go in, you say, hey, make this a little better.
Do this.
Do this.
Do this.
That's when the actual editing comes into play.
It's probably not going to one shot something exactly how you wanted it because you didn't tell it what you wanted, and that's okay because you're probably not gonna write a 1,000 word paragraph to the AI.
You're gonna have it do a broad sweep, and it's like, okay.
This is okay.
And then you go through and you do the minor details.
So telling AI to create a website or write a newsletter or write a tweet today is exactly like just downloading a WordPress template in the past.
People can tell because it's not a good effort, and there was just as much slop a few years ago as there is today.
But AI is just some special case that people really dislike.
So you can stop there and have a pretty terrible website that doesn't make your brand unique in the slightest, or you can use that as a starting point to iterate from.
Just like you can build an app, but then you have to resolve issues and bug fixes until it's actually a good app.
Now the baseline for what is considered this modern WordPress template or slop will continue to rise, forcing people to develop more taste and experience if they actually want to stand out.
And this is part of why my opinion around writing with AI is changing.
Because if you treated it like you did when you actually sit down to write, you'd realize that you'd have more control, more creativity, more opportunity if you used AI.
But what people do is they say, hey, write this newsletter for me, and when it's not good, they just consider it slop.
Or they think it's okay and they make the choice to post it because they don't have taste or experience.
And I think taste is what you're not willing to put out into the world.
And so when they post it, people immediately tell it's AI.
But for people who actually treat writing as a craft with AI, nobody can tell because it's not the baseline WordPress template, and it's something that you choose to post because it represents what you would have said.
It represents your values, your worldview, your opinion.
And it's not like writers are super authentic anyways talking in the voice they talk to when they're talking to a friend.
No.
They've created their writing voice, and they're faking it.
They have a mask on, and that's okay.
That's what part of being human is.
So with that out of the way, what do we actually do?
How can we create something like the weekly content strategist that I showed you that's actually good?
The first thing is that you need to know what good looks like or have an example of what good looks like.
Because when it comes to good content or good posting on social media, there's a lot at play.
There's the structure of the post article or newsletter.
There's the creator's vibe or energy signature.
There's the throughline of their brand and big ideas they incorporate consistently to get their worldview across, and there's the unique ideas they stumble across that help them stand out from everyone else.
So all of this needs to be accounted for.
No AI is going to tell you that.
No AI is going to do that by default.
You can only find it through mentorship or experience or learning from someone who has that specific knowledge because there is no one way to create content.
But now that you know these things, you need a reference or an example or instructions that you can give the AI to constrain the context.
That means giving it YouTube titles and transcripts of videos that represent the type of content you want to create.
It means Reels transcripts, Substack notes or articles, X posts articles, or ample examples of the style of writing that you like.
That's how I start out most AI chats these days.
If I know what I want, then I just give detailed instructions.
In the past, I've written 2,000 word prompts teaching it to write tweets like I do, and it gets extremely close.
But you wouldn't be able to do that just by asking it to look at my best tweets because it will try to templatize those and doesn't account for the thinking process that went into writing them.
And now more importantly, if I don't know what I want, then I start researching, and I ask questions until I have clarity and fill the context window with the right information.
So if I'm designing something, then I need a reference.
I need to go look on mobbin or another inspiration site.
If I'm writing content, then I have to go to eden, the discover tab, and find high performing ideas.
What that means is I don't just say, hey.
Write me a newsletter on this topic.
I ask questions to decide which newsletter to write about.
So in your case, you could ask something like, I want to write one of the greatest, most engaging newsletters in the world, something that stands out and doesn't sound robotic.
Let's treat this as a brainstorming session until we land on a style that I like.
Start by asking clarifying questions on what you need from me to make this happen.
We'll go from there.
And then at the end of this conversation and after giving it different examples, ask it to condense it into a document or a skill that you'll be able to transfer between different chats.
Now the second thing is that you need to understand the process that gets results or start with someone else's process until you develop your own.
So for something like a content strategist, this isn't as simple as just telling the AI to research top performing posts because that's not the only thing that a content strategist does.
And if you don't know that, then you're not gonna be able to implement that in your business.
Asking it to research top ideas is what a below average person would do.
So if you ask Claude to do that, even though it's genius level AGI intelligence, simply because you asked it to do something that is what below average people do, then the results you get are going to be below average because it's not gonna tell you, hey.
Do this instead.
And the below below average person would just ask the AI to write a viral post for them.
So when I think about my own content writing process, it goes like this, and this is what I would try to distill into a workflow with AI.
First is I read books, save ideas, have conversations with friends, listen to long lectures for ideas that nobody is talking about online.
Then I pick an idea at the intersection of one, what I am excited to write about, two, what people will massively benefit from, and three, what is already validated and performing well.
The third thing is I brain dump title ideas for the article or script, and then I find the best ideas that would fit into that piece.
Fourth, I consider which long form structure would be the best to house those ideas and start outlining it.
And then fifth, from that outline, I brainstorm 10 to 20 short form content ideas that I can take and run with.
And this is also considering that I already have the branding side of things down, which is an entirely different process and story because that's what would allow the content strategist to understand my worldview, my influences, my mission, and my brand enemy.
So the difficult part is turning all of those into a process that the AI can help with because it obviously can't read books or discover ideas for me.
That's the edge then that can't be outsourced.
That's what makes your process a bit more irreplaceable than the next person's.
But I can capture all of my ideas into my eden library which auto tags and connects ideas so the AI can pull from them as a bank of ideas each week to give me a few options that are likely to do well, meaning I can focus more on reading and learning rather than treating it as something to outsource because I enjoy that process.
Then the main thing I need to do is instruct the AI on how to perform good research, what ideas are worthwhile, so as an example celebrity posts that went viral aren't a signal as to what's performing on social media small to mid sized accounts outlier posts are then how to match the right topics to my own novel ideas and examples of my own content structures that have worked in the past.
Then you have it spit all of that out into a table that it can update and reference every single week.
Now the third thing you need is to continuously improve and iterate the system you build as you've always needed to do.
This is more life advice or reality advice than it is AI advice, but we are building a system here.
Life is systems.
Your mind is a set of nested systems.
The road is a system.
Everything is a system.
So we're building a system, and if you've ever used a Notion template or had any form of morning routine, you understand sometimes a system isn't always reliable or you outgrow it or something throws a wrench in it and it just doesn't work out for that specific situation.
But that isn't a reason to think that the system doesn't work altogether and it doesn't mean that you abandon it entirely.
It means you iterate and make it adaptable.
So with AI, what this means is that whenever you notice something wrong or off or that looks like slop, then you tell it what's wrong.
You improve the system.
You give suggestions.
You ask more questions.
You start to move in a different direction until you get to where you actually want to go.
Personally I think most people are just afraid of the uncertainty that comes with AI.
It's very similar to entrepreneurship.
It's directly engaging with the process of trial and error.
Simply because they don't get the certain cheap dopamine result that you get everywhere else, they label it as bad or it doesn't work or, oh, you're just outsourcing your thinking when it's the complete opposite.
And they're just repeating that because it's a line that was programmed into their head.
So who's the more machine like person here?
Like, everything we just talked about just doesn't click for them.
And that's fine because people like this, people where none of this clicked for you, you need to actually step into the arena and stop trying to outsource things before you even know what to outsource.
You can't outsource content until you've act you're actually doing content.
You can't outsource something that doesn't exist.
You can't automate it.
Most people are trying to automate things by downloading the skills before they even have anything worth automating.
You don't even have anything that works yet.
But for those who did understand this, you understand how revolutionary it is.
So I hope this was helpful.
I help the custom AIs with the link in the description serve you well.
And if you want to build your own custom AI or tack a course onto it and sell it in eden, then that will be available very soon and I'm super stoked about that.
So we'll talk soon.
Like, subscribe while you hear it's just a click of a button and I'll see you in the next video.
再见。
Bye.
