为什么加密货币回购是“错误的资本配置方式”

Why Crypto Buybacks Are 'the Wrong Way to Allocate Capital'

请访问 megaphone.fm/adchoices

我在Robinhood上证明了这一点。

I made the point with Robinhood.

Speaker 0

就像Robinhood每天赚几百万美元,而以太坊的基础层基本上只积累了一百到两百美元。

It's like Robinhood was making several millions of dollars a day, and basically, Ethereum base layer was accruing a $100, like, literally a 100 to $200.

谢谢你的邀请。

Thanks for having me.

Speaker 0

很高兴来到这里。

Excited to be here.

Speaker 1

很高兴能和你聊聊。

Excited to chat with you.

Speaker 1

现在这个行业确实很有意思。

It's a very interesting time in the industry.

Speaker 1

我们希望能走出这轮熊市,而你正好处在投资和前沿科技的交汇点上。

We're, you know, hopefully, I think coming out of this bear market and you sit at this intersection of investing and frontier tech.

Speaker 1

当然,作为ARK的一员,你们可能是最知名的处在交汇点的投资公司之一。

Of course, being at ARK, it's probably one of the best known investment firms sitting at the intersection.

Speaker 1

大家都在说我们现在处于加密货币被广泛采用的时期,之前那些投机阶段至少会变得温和一些,甚至可能会逐渐消失。

And everyone's talking about how we're in this era of crypto adoption and how the previous speculative periods of crypto will at least be tamer, if not kind of go by the wayside.

Speaker 1

你是怎么看的?

How are you thinking about it?

Speaker 1

你觉得我们现在处于什么阶段?这次有哪些值得投资的?

What era do you think we're in, and what's investable this time around?

Speaker 0

这是个好问题。

It's a good question.

Speaker 0

先说明一下,我们其实更像是一个交易型资产管理公司,我们有ETF。

So just to preface, we were obviously more of a trade facet manager, and we have the ETFs.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得我们更像是后期投资者。

And so we were more like late stage investors, I would describe probably.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得现在看这个领域,2026年不管Clarity那边怎么样,都会是关键的一年。但我觉得这确实标志着一个时代的结束,另一个时代的开始。

And so I think as we look at the space right now, it's going through, I think twenty twenty six is going to be a pivotal year regardless of what happened with Clarity, But I think it's definitely marking the end of an era and the beginning of a new one.

Speaker 0

我觉得有几个大趋势。

And I think there's a few big trends.

Speaker 0

我觉得我们看到的是行业的大规模整合,非常大规模。

I think we're seeing just massive consolidation in the industry, massive.

Speaker 0

有创纪录数量的项目、协议和应用在关闭和退出,我觉得总体上这是好事。

You have like a record number of projects, protocols, applications that are just closing and sunsetting, which I think is good overall.

Speaker 0

我觉得从投资的角度看,这个时代的前半段更像是我们在探索和发现的阶段。

I think from the investment side, the first kind of part of the era was more, you know, we were in the pioneering and discovery phase.

Speaker 0

我觉得赢家是那些真正设定新标准,或者发现、调整一些基础组件,比如AMM、货币市场,这些构建了成功协议的东西。

And I think the winners were really the ones setting kind of new standard or discovering or tweaking some of the primitives that, you know, the AMMs, the money markets, lot of what build basically the successful protocols.

Speaker 0

我觉得现在这种情况正在改变。

I think that is changing right now.

Speaker 0

我觉得我们基本上已经发现了链上能做的大部分基础组件和事情。

I think we've kind of discovered most of the primitives and things that we can do on chain.

Speaker 0

基本上,这个时代的第二阶段,至少对我们来说,重点不再是承销全新的应用或协议,而是更关注那些已经在运作的项目,它们能发展到多大。

And basically the second part of this era, at least for us, it's not so much about underwriting net new applications or protocols, but more so seeing, hey, the ones that are working, how big can they get?

Speaker 0

它们有哪些模式,能扩展到多大。

What are the modes that they have and how big can they get in?

Speaker 0

所以这其实不是从零到一的过程,而是从一到一百,对吧?

So it's not really like the zero to one part, but more like the one to 100, right?

Speaker 0

比如,哪些协议、哪些公司能够指数级增长,并且能够持续增长,最终与Treadfy合并。

Like, which are the protocols, which are the companies that can grow kind of exponentially and that can continue to grow and merge basically with Treadfy.

Speaker 0

我们会讨论代币化,这是一个比加密货币大得多的市场。

We'll talk about tokenization, which is a market much, much bigger than crypto.

Speaker 0

我还觉得,这基本上是一个以散户为主的市场。

I also think it was mostly a retail focused market.

Speaker 0

很多第一层网络和应用方面的成功案例,基本上任何公司都主要是面向零售用户的产品。

A lot of the wins in terms of layer ones, applications, like pretty much any company was mostly like a retail facing product.

Speaker 0

使用这些协议、应用和产品的人,更多是那些早期相信这个行业的狂热爱好者。

And the people using the protocols and applications and products were more the degens, like early believers in the industry.

Speaker 0

显然,市场的那个阶段现在完全要结束了,对吧?

And clearly, like that phase of the market is completely, it's just ending, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得现在更多的是机构化的,看我们怎么让传统金融机构和那些真正掌握大资金的人加入进来,以及那些真正有规模的实际应用场景,对吧?

And I think now it's much more institutional and seeing like how we can onboard, you know, tradify institutions and people that are really like the persons that move real money and use cases that actually matter at size, right?

Speaker 0

比如支付、跨境支付、交易,基本上都是金融相关的领域,我认为经过差不多十年,以太坊是2015年推出的。

Which is like payments, cross border payments, trading, all basically adjacent topics around finance, which is I think after basically ten years, I think Ethereum launched in 2015.

Speaker 0

现在这算是加密货币的核心应用场景和最佳的产品市场契合点。

It's kind of the core use case and best PMF for crypto right now.

Speaker 1

是的,我之前想问你,当你谈到如何评估那些能从1做到100的公司和协议时。

Yeah, and I did want to ask you earlier when you talked about how you're making assessments of companies and protocols that can go from one to 100.

Speaker 1

你会看哪些因素?

What factors are you looking at?

Speaker 1

你觉得在这个新阶段,成败的关键特征是什么?

What do you think are the make or break characteristics for this next phase?

Speaker 0

我觉得一个核心问题是价值在哪里积累,这算是加密货币领域的大问题,对吧?

I think one of the main questions is where does value accrue, which is kind of the big question in crypto, right?

Speaker 0

而且我觉得现在我们正在与传统金融融合,加上代币化和现实世界资产,这个问题现在变得更加重要了。

And I think now that we're merging with and tokenization in general and RWAs, it's a question that is just even more important right now.

Speaker 0

因为有些公司拥有庞大的资产负债表和非常好的技术,正在整合加密货币。

Because you have some of these companies with big balance sheets, with very good technology that are integrating crypto.

Speaker 0

而现在,整合的成本,以及用AI开发的成本,基本上要降到零了。

And now basically the cost of integrating, the cost of developing with AI, it's essentially going to zero.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得过去五到十年里我们行业里拥有的很多护城河,现在没那么有优势了。

So I think a lot of the moats that we had in the industry in the last kind of five to ten years, they're just not as powerful.

Speaker 0

我觉得还有一点是,五年前我们看的时候,并没有很多大型的加密货币公司,对吧?

I think one of the other things is, I when we looked like five years ago, there was, you just didn't have a lot of crypto companies that were big, right?

Speaker 0

比如,没有很多公司年收入能达到一亿或两亿美元,举个例子。

Like they weren't like, you didn't have a lot of companies that were doing upwards of a 100 or $200,000,000 of AR for example.

Speaker 0

所以那时候竞争起来容易多了,对吧?

And so it was just much easier to compete, right?

Speaker 0

因为一切都是新的,你可以在六个月到一年内就搞出一个东西来。

Because everything was kind of new and you can bootstrap something like in six months to a year.

Speaker 0

但现在在我看来,情况完全变了,现在有大公司了,而且是上市公司。

And now things have completely changed in my opinion, where now you have huge companies, They're publicly traded companies.

Speaker 0

他们有管理团队。

They have management teams.

Speaker 0

他们有做了十年技术的人。

They have people that have been building technology for ten years.

Speaker 0

他们有庞大的资产负债表。

They have huge balance sheets.

Speaker 0

所以很明显,现在如果你是一个稳定币初创公司,你跑来说,嘿,我们在做稳定币产品。

And so obviously, right now, if you're a stablecoin startup and you come and you say, hey, we're doing this product in stablecoin.

Speaker 0

现在有Tether和Circle,它们都是巨无霸,超级大的公司。

Now you have Tether and Circle that are just like humongous, like huge companies.

Speaker 0

它们在不断增长,表现非常好。

They're compounding, they're doing extremely well.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得情况变化很大,对吧?

And so I think it's just like changed a lot, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得对于我们在评估和考察的那些实际公司,看它们能走多远。

I think for the actual companies that we're underwriting and we're looking at and see how far can they get.

Speaker 0

这基本上就是看加密货币如何与现实世界资产和链下资产融合。

It's essentially seeing how crypto can merge with RWAs and with off chain assets.

Speaker 0

在ARK,我们研究比特币、以太坊、一层网络以及所有这些加密资产已经一年了。

At ARK, we've been studying like Bitcoin, Ethereum, layer ones and all these crypto assets for a year.

Speaker 0

我们很清楚它们在接下来五到十年会有多大。

We have a pretty good idea how big they're going to get like in the next five to ten years.

Speaker 0

所以那种评估过程已经完成了。

And so that kind of underwriting process is done.

Speaker 0

我觉得现在市场更大的部分,也是我们看到很多增长的地方,就是股票、股权,当然还有固定收益、现实世界资产,以及所有新的资产类别,比如预测市场、计算资源,我们在这些新资产类别上花了很多时间。

I think the bigger part of the market right now and where we see like a lot of growth is just like stocks, equity, obviously equities, fixed income, RWAs in general and all like new kind of asset classes like prediction markets, compute where we're spending a lot of time, these new asset classes.

Speaker 0

你能用加密货币技术和我们的加密原语,为这些资产类别释放更多价值吗?这些资产类别规模要大一个数量级。

Can you use crypto technology and on our crypto primitives to unlock like even more value for those asset classes, which is kind of order of magnitude bigger.

Speaker 0

所以这些就是我们目前正在思考的问题。

So those are kind of the questions that we're asking ourselves right now.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得,现在很多非常成功的公司,如果不能完成这个转型,它们最终会被其他公司超越。

And even I think a lot of companies that have been super successful right now, if they're not able to make this transition, I think we'll get them all run by other companies.

Speaker 1

那你说的加密原语是什么意思?

And so when you said cryptographic primitives, what do you mean?

Speaker 1

因为我相信你也知道,现在关于密码学也有很多疑问。

Because as I'm sure you're aware, there's a lot of questions about cryptography right now as well.

Speaker 1

在我们深入讨论之前,因为那是个复杂的话题,你刚才说的到底是什么意思?

So before we move into all that, because that's its whole, you know, ball of wax, what what did you mean by that?

Speaker 0

我们在加密货币领域发明了很多东西,比如永续合约、自动做市商、Uniswap,这些基本上构成了所谓的DeFi。

A lot of the things that we've kind of invented in crypto, like perpetual futures, AMMs, Uniswap, like those sorts of building blocks of what's been defined essentially like calling it DeFi.

Speaker 0

你能把现有的DeFi和现实世界资产结合起来吗?

Can you merge current DeFi with RWAs essentially?

Speaker 0

而且你知道,你的产品或公司有没有一条现实可行的路,真的去支持那些资产类别?

And you know, can you does your product or your company has like a realistic path to actually supporting some of those, like those asset classes?

Speaker 0

这就是现在的大问题。

That's kind of the big question right now.

Speaker 0

还是说它会一直停留在小众领域?

Or is it going to remain like a niche?

Speaker 0

而且你看,我觉得还是会有一些很大的玩家,支持以太坊、比特币,还有一些比较小的资产。

And look, there's still players I think that are gonna be very big that support Ethereum, Bitcoin and some of these assets that are some kind of smaller.

Speaker 0

但那些……

But those...

Speaker 0

这是我们问自己的问题之一。

That's one of the questions that, you know, that we ask ourselves.

Speaker 1

好的。

Alright.

Speaker 1

那么,我们现在来谈谈我刚才提到的那个话题,就是我们正处于一个非常特殊的时期,人们担心量子计算可能会破解密码学,甚至可能包括公钥密码学。

So let's now talk about what I alluded to a moment ago, which is we're in this very remarkable period where people are expressing fears that quantum computing could break cryptography, potentially even public key cryptography.

Speaker 1

不知道你有没有看到那条推文,挺让人不安的。

I don't know if you saw that tweet from that green that was kind of disturbing.

Speaker 1

马特·格林,一位著名的密码学家。

And Matt Greens, a famous cryptographer.

Speaker 1

这一切上周就开始了,当时贾斯汀·德雷克发推文说,在我看来,现在应该做好准备,ECDSA 可能在 Q 日之前就被破解。

This all got kicked off last week when Justin Drake tweeted, quote, in my opinion, it is now reasonable to brace for the possibility that ECDSA breaks before q day.

Speaker 1

最坏的情况下,是几个月内,而不是几年。

In the worst case, in months, not years.

Speaker 1

然后他写道,破解私钥恢复,比如在一周内用现有硬件,比如大型 GPU 集群。

And then he wrote, by break, I mean, private key recovery, e g in one week on available hardware, e g a large GPU cluster.

Speaker 1

哇。

Wow.

Speaker 1

在这个时代,很多基础假设似乎都不再成立,你怎么看待投资?

How do you think about investing in this era when it seems like so many kind of foundational assumptions may no longer hold?

Speaker 0

这确实是我们经常讨论的话题。

It's definitely something that we're talking a lot about.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得加密货币有点像泡沫。

And I think, you know, crypto is kind of a bubble.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得有时候加密货币圈的人以为机构往这个领域投钱,

And I think sometimes crypto people think like, you know, institutions allocating money to the space.

Speaker 0

他们看的是Solana和以太坊的通货膨胀率是多少?

They're looking at, you know, what is the inflation rate of Solana versus Ethereum?

Speaker 0

或者收入是多少?

Or like, what is the revenue?

Speaker 0

但实际上他们根本不懂这些。

It's like, they don't they don't know any of that.

Speaker 0

但如果你问一些机构他们最关心什么,我们收到很多问题,大概70%来自注册投资顾问、财富管理平台以及专业理财人士的问题,都是这样的。

But like, if you ask some of these institutions, what they care a lot and we get a lot of questions and probably 70% of the question that we get from RIAs like wealth management platform and like people that manage money for as professionals, it's questions like that.

Speaker 0

嘿,量子计算会带来什么影响?

Hey, like what happens with quantum?

Speaker 0

比如签名,是不是得转型?

Like are the signatures, are they gonna have to transition?

Speaker 0

比如哪个区块链的路线图更好?

Like which blockchain is like, has a better road map?

Speaker 0

这些才是他们真正关心的问题。

Those are really the questions that they care about.

Speaker 1

我得说,他们这么专业,真让人印象深刻,值得称赞。

I have to say that I find that impressive that they're that sophisticated, so kudos to them.

Speaker 0

我觉得可能是因为量子计算是一种更通用的技术,他们在其他领域也听说过。

I think maybe because quantum is more of a general technology that they've heard also, like, in other fields.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得这才是真正能上头条的事情,但他们确实知道这个。

And so I think that's really the thing that kind of makes the headline, but they definitely know about it.

Speaker 0

所以我们经常听到的,特别是关于量子计算、AI,还有Justin Drake的那条推文。

And so I think that that's one thing that we hear a lot for specifically kind of quantum and AI and the Justin Drake tweet.

Speaker 0

说实话,这挺吓人的。

It's scary, honestly.

Speaker 0

我觉得量子计算在内部,虽然我不是专门做这个工作的,但确实我们更多看到的是十年到二十年的预测,关于它什么时候会来。

I mean, I think quantum like internally and I'm not the one specifically that has done the work on that, but it's certainly something that we see more like in the ten to twenty years kind of forecast in terms of where it's coming.

Speaker 0

现在想想你从一些公司看到的,比如像OpenAI和Anthropic这样的模型,以及他们在这么短的时间内取得的发现,真的很难不让人害怕,因为其中一个发现就是纳维-斯托克斯猜想,那是一个千禧年大奖难题。

Now, think what you've seen from some of the companies, like from some of the models like OpenAI and Anthropic and the discoveries they've made in such a short amount of time is just very hard to, you know, it's scary because like one of the discoveries was the Navier Stokes conjecture, which was a Millennium Prize problem.

Speaker 0

所以那是数学界七个问题之一,人们发现这样的问题就能获得菲尔兹奖。

So it was one of the seven problems that, you know, people in the math community, like they win Fields Medal for discovering things like that.

Speaker 0

所以这真的是一个存在了几个世纪的问题,非常非常难。

So it was really like a problem that has been around for centuries and very, very difficult.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,就目前AI和改进的速度来看,真的很难预测未来,因为我想我们一年前内部讨论的时候,我们会说,嘿,这项技术可能会提前两年实现……

And so I think just with AI and the pace of improvement right now, it's just very hard to project yourself because I think when we talked internally like a year ago, we say, hey, like this technology is probably gonna pull forward like two year...

Speaker 0

现在基本上两年后能看到的东西,现在就能实现了。

What we see in two years, it's gonna pull forward now basically.

Speaker 0

所以,你觉得两年后会发生的事情,现在就能发生什么?

So what do you see in two years that can happen now?

Speaker 0

然后在过去六个月里,我们又说,嘿,这项技术可能会提前十年实现。

And then like in the past six months, it's, hey, like this technology can probably pull forward like ten years.

Speaker 0

你觉得呢?

Like what do you see?

Speaker 0

而在最近两个月里,开放式的讨论就变成了,未来三十到五十年会发生什么?

And like in the last two months, open end talk was just like, what can happen in the next like thirty to fifty years?

Speaker 0

因为基本上现在就要实现了。

Because it's gonna get pulled like now basically.

Speaker 0

这种时间线真的很难想象,作为一个普通人,无论是从投资角度还是内部理论来看。

It's just like hot timelines that are very hard to imagine as a as a human being in terms of investments and thesis internally.

Speaker 0

所以这确实很吓人。

So it's it's definitely scary.

Speaker 0

你看,我不是密码学家,关于ECDSA已经有很多讨论,它是比特币和以太坊使用的核心椭圆曲线密码学。

Look, I'm I'm not a cryptographer and obviously a lot has been said about ECDSA, which is kind of the core elliptic curve cryptography that that Bitcoin and and Ethereum serves.

Speaker 0

但我认为它……

But I think it it...

Speaker 0

在内部,我们认为自我托管在加密货币和核心加密理念方面越来越难推销。

Internally, we think, you know, self custody is just like a harder and harder sell in terms of of crypto and kind of the core crypto ethos.

Speaker 0

我们内部一直有这个理论,自我托管正在慢慢消亡,我认为这正在加速,我们可以讨论原因,我认为这是DeFi实际上没有增长的核心原因之一,因为没有人愿意自我托管,所以我们正在等待Robinhood、Coinbase和其他应用真正开始吸引用户。

We've been having this thesis internally that, you know, self custody is slowly dying and I think this is just accelerating and we can talk about why and I think it's one of the core reasons DeFi is actually not growing is because like we don't have anyone that's willing to self custody and so we're waiting for the Robinhood's, the Coinbase and other applications to actually kind of onboard users.

Speaker 0

所以这是第一点。

So that's number one.

Speaker 0

我觉得第二点,另一个让人害怕的事情是解决方案本身,也就是其他类型的签名,这些签名不太为人所知,也没有经过充分测试,而且人们对它们的看法分歧很大。

I think number two, the other thing that is scary is the solution to that, which is other sets of signatures that like they're not well known, they're not well tested, and people have very divergent opinions about it.

Speaker 0

所以这也是最吓人的部分,我觉得我们建立的很多第一层协议,比如比特币、以太坊和其他一些,说实话,现在它们已经有了很多治理机制。

So that is also the scariest part where I think a lot of the layer ones that we built, Bitcoin, Ethereum, and others, honestly, now they have shot like an amount of governance.

Speaker 0

比如我们会问矿工,链上投票,还有DAO,社区,用户,质押者。

Like we ask the miners, there's on chain votes like this, the Dow, this is the community, there's the users, the stakers.

Speaker 0

显然,这个话题似乎需要一种创始人模式。

And clearly, this this seems like a topic where you want like founder mode mode.

Speaker 0

你需要有人站出来说,嘿,我们要进行这个转型。

You want someone say, hey, we're going to make this transition.

Speaker 0

我们要这么做。

We're going to do this.

Speaker 0

我们要用这些签名,基本上要在明年年中之前完成。

We're going to use these signatures and we're going to do this before next like mid next year, basically.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得,至少我担心的是,很多这些东西会在治理和投票之类的过程中被淹没掉。

And it seems like at least like my concern is like a lot of these will get will get, you know, kind of lost in governance and like, you know, votes and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

所以这也是让人害怕的地方。

And so that's also the part that that is a scary.

Speaker 0

我觉得除此之外,看起来还是有解决方案的。

I think other than that looks like there are solutions.

Speaker 0

再说一遍,就像我说的,还有其他签名方案,比如在你的路线图末尾,他们已经考虑这个问题好几年了。

Again, like I've said, there are other signatures like if the end of your roadmap, they've been thinking about this for years.

Speaker 0

有很多初创公司在这方面帮忙。

There are a lot of startups kind of helping on that.

Speaker 0

但我认为,AI 绝对是一股力量,它迫使你基本上要考虑未来,不是我们投资时看到的那个未来,那大概是五年、十年,对风险基金来说,而是更像二十年或三十年。

But I think AI is definitely a force now that is forcing you to basically think about the future, not the future where we see an investing, which is probably five years, ten years for venture fund, but more like twenty or thirty years.

Speaker 0

这是我们以前从未做过的事情。

And it's something that we've kind of never done.

Speaker 0

所以,是的,这很吓人。

So, yeah, it's scary.

Speaker 1

聊天区里有个问题。

We have a question from the chat.

Speaker 1

这个问题挺有意思的。

That's an interesting question.

Speaker 1

问题是,为什么人们认为量子计算不会帮助加密货币?

It says, why do people assume that quantum won't help crypto?

Speaker 1

为什么人们不认为会有一种量子币?

Why don't people assume that there will be a quantum coin?

Speaker 1

量子安全在理论上是很棒的。

Quantum security is theoretically amazing.

Speaker 1

对此我有自己的答案,但我也想听听你的看法。

So I have my own answer to that, but I'd be curious to hear yours.

Speaker 0

我觉得它确实能有所帮助,就像现在这样。

I mean, think it could help just like as they are.

Speaker 0

很多人都在说,担心AI模型破解ECDSA,但AI也会帮我们找到解决方案。

Like a lot of people are saying, hey, like this kind of fear about AI models breaking ECDSA, like they're also going to help us create kind of solutions.

Speaker 0

确实如此。

It's true.

Speaker 0

我觉得我不太确定的地方是,加密货币领域一直存在各种乱象,比如黑客攻击、钓鱼诈骗,还有钱包被盗刷之类的情况,每年都有发生。

I think the part where I'm not totally sure is just we have noise in crypto in terms of hacks, phishing, like wallets being drained, like, yearly.

Speaker 0

这些损失加起来已经有数十亿美元了。

That is, like, already in the billions of dollars.

Speaker 0

如果把所有的黑客攻击和钓鱼骗局都算上,我们可以聊聊Ledger发生的事情,那次的损失就超过了1000亿美元。

Like, if you add, like, all the hacks and all the phishing scams and we can talk about what happened with Ledger, was, more than a $100,100,000,000 dollars.

Speaker 0

把这些都加在一起的话,加密货币里的噪音其实挺大的。

If you add all of this, like, you have a noise in crypto that is sizable.

Speaker 0

比如朝鲜基本上就是靠这个吃饭,他们每年从加密货币里偷走几十亿美元。

Like, I mean, North Korea kinda has a job out of it basically where they steal, like, billions of dollars, like, yearly out of crypto.

Speaker 0

所以我就觉得,也许……

And so I just think, like, you know, maybe like the...

Speaker 0

我们确实没法确切知道,当人们……

We we won't know exactly for sure when people...

Speaker 0

当有人破解了ECDSA,或者到了Q日那天。

When someone has kind of broken ECDSA or it's the Q day.

Speaker 0

也许他们会开始在加密货币的噪音中慢慢偷。

Like, maybe they'll just start kind of slowly stealing like within the noise of crypto.

Speaker 0

除非出现一个巨大的峰值,让你觉得肯定有问题,或者某个地址偷走的金额明显是异常值,否则我担心这会被淹没在噪音里,而这种噪音几乎一直存在,甚至在某些年份还在增长。

And unless you have a huge spike where you say, hey, like, there's definitely something going or an address has stolen an amount that is really like an outlier, I'm just afraid that it's going to get lost in the noise, which is pretty constant or even growing for some of the years.

Speaker 0

我同意。

I agree.

Speaker 0

我觉得这会有帮助。

I think it could help.

Speaker 0

我觉得这在很大程度上取决于闭源模型在新版本中的表现,但市面上也有开源模型。

I think it depends a lot what the closed models do with the new releases, but you also have open models out there.

Speaker 0

就像你们在节目里聊过的,那些模型任何人都可以用。

Like, you guys have talked, like, in some of the shows, and those can be used by anyone.

Speaker 0

所以这就更难控制了。

And so that's just harder to kinda control.

Speaker 1

对,正是如此。

Yeah, it's exactly that.

Speaker 1

比如有人可能在暗中悄悄收集大量数据,然后伺机发动攻击。

Like somebody could in secret harvest a lot of stuff and then wait to attack.

Speaker 1

所以最让人担心的情况往往最先发生。

And so it's like the fear, the fearful thing will happen first.

Speaker 1

而且到了后期,加密货币或许也能利用量子技术来获益。

And yeah, later, maybe crypto can take advantage of quantum.

Speaker 1

但在那之前,可能会有一堆项目成为待宰的羔羊。

But in the meantime, you know, there's potentially a bunch of projects that are going to be sitting ducks.

Speaker 1

好的。

All right.

Speaker 1

稍后我们会进一步聊聊,哪些公司和协议能更好地抵御量子计算带来的威胁。

So in a moment, we're going to talk a little bit more about which companies and protocols are well poised to withstand the threat from quantum.

Speaker 1

不过在此之前,我们先听一下赞助商的简短发言,感谢他们让这档节目得以呈现。

But first, we'll take a quick word from the sponsors who make the show possible.

Speaker 1

如果你的加密货币不只是放在钱包里,还能做更多事情,那会怎么样?

What if your crypto could do more than just sit in your wallet?

Speaker 1

Nexo是一个数字资产财富平台,你可以在这里用加密货币赚取每日利息,或者用资产抵押借款。

Nexo is a digital assets wealth platform where you can generate daily interest on your crypto or borrow funds against your assets.

Speaker 1

回到我和洛伦佐的对话。

Back to my conversation with Lorenzo.

Speaker 1

关于不同协议、生态系统和公司面临来自量子的不同威胁程度,有很多讨论。

So there's been a lot of conversation about how different protocols and ecosystems and companies are facing different kind of levels of threat from quantum.

Speaker 1

你可能特别了解比特币的情况,但我想知道,你是如何看待不同类型公司和协议面临的威胁,以及你更看好哪些?

You probably are aware of this with Bitcoin in particular, but I was curious if you could just talk a little bit about how it is that you're thinking about the threat to different types of companies and protocols and which ones you're more bullish on?

Speaker 0

我们是在专门讨论量子吗?

So are we talking specifically about quantum?

Speaker 0

还有AI对公钥签名和密码学的威胁。

Also, AI threats to public key signatures and cryptography

Speaker 1

总的来说?

in general?

Speaker 1

请继续。

Go ahead.

Speaker 1

两个都聊聊。

Talk about both.

Speaker 0

我觉得我们内部其实也讨论过这个问题。

So I think, you know, internally, like, we've kinda discussed this.

Speaker 0

对我们来说,有一些……

I think for us, some of the...

Speaker 0

如果你看看整个行业的情况,我之前也研究过,大部分集中在亚洲的交易所、经纪商和平台上。

So if if you see the axe in the industry, which is something I was actually looking at the other day, you know, most of those are in kind of Asian exchanges and brokers and platforms.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,从用户角度来看,内部来说,一些中心化交易所其实是最有准备去应对这个问题的,对吧?因为你们需要持续投入研究。

And so I think right now from a user perspective, internally, I think some of the centralized exchanges are actually best equipped to deal with this, right, because you need to be able to keep up in terms of research.

Speaker 0

你们还得具备最顶尖的安全架构。

You need to be able to have like the best security setups.

Speaker 0

就像我们之前讨论过的,我不认为加密领域新进来的那些边缘用户——我对此很有把握——会愿意用硬件钱包,或者通过浏览器插件那种方式自己保管私钥。

I think as we discussed previously, I don't think the net new marginal user in crypto, and I'm pretty sure of that, will want to use either like a hardware wallet or want to self custody through like a browser kind of a wallet.

Speaker 0

而且我认为这会带来很多后果。

And I think that has many consequences.

Speaker 0

我觉得像Coinbase、Robinhood这些把加密货币复杂性完全隐藏起来的平台,才是真正能吸引新增用户的主力,它们在这方面的准备也是最充分的,跟ETF的情况一样。

I think the coin misses, the Robinhoods, the people that really abstract the crypto complexity, they're going to onboard the net marginal user and they're going to be best equipped just like same for the ETFs.

Speaker 0

我觉得我们今天正好聊到过这个点。

I think we were talking about this today.

Speaker 0

比如我有一个普通朋友第一次想买比特币,我会很坦诚地建议他买ETF,这在三四年前可是不敢想象的。

Like if I have a normie friend that comes to me and that wants to buy Bitcoin for the first time, I would probably recommend him an ETF to be completely transparent, which was not the case, like, I think three or four years ago.

Speaker 0

而且说实话,连我自己这种自托管好几年的人,现在也在考虑把手里的资产集中管理起来,因为要跟上AI突破、量子计算这些领域的进展实在太难了。

And I think internally, even for people like myself, which, you know, I've been self custodying for years, I'm actually thinking now of consolidating a lot of the custody that I have because it's just like so hard to keep up with what is happening in terms of AI breakthroughs, quantum.

Speaker 0

而且你只能看到像加密协议这样的项目关闭。

And you'd only have that like even crypto protocols like closing.

Speaker 0

比如,我不知道你有没有看到 Abstract 这个 Layer 2 项目关闭,他们 basically 给了用户一个月的时间来提取资金,这简直太离谱了。

Like, I I don't know if, you know, you've seen this with like abstract which is a layer to his closing and they're basically giving their users like a month to to withdraw funds which is completely nuts.

Speaker 0

整整一个月。

Like a month.

Speaker 0

想象一下,如果你在澳大利亚度假两个月,回来发现钱提不出来了,他们至少应该给一年或者更长时间吧,这样才合理嘛。

Like imagine you're in holiday like in Australia for two months and you come back, it's like they should give at least a year or something like you know, that makes more sense.

Speaker 0

所以从这个角度看,现在有很多方面都可能让你丢失资金或者忘记它。

And so I think from that perspective, there are just so many angles right now where you can either lose your funds or forget about it.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得一些机构实际上处于很好的位置,可以在他们的平台上增加更多资产,并吸引下一个新用户。

And so I think some of these institutions are actually like very well positioned to add more assets on their platform and to onboard the next new user.

Speaker 0

所以从公司角度来看,我们觉得加密协议和公司会表现好的,是一种杠铃策略。

And so I think from the companies, it's kind of the barbell strategy of what we think like crypto protocols and companies will do well.

Speaker 0

要么是那些非常接近用户、拥有用户关系的公司,比如交易所、经纪商,要么就是加密基础设施,这些基础设施会被巨大的市场所使用,对吧?

Either the ones that sit very close to the user that owns the user relationship, like the exchanges, the brokers, or basically crypto infra that can get that is infrastructure and then that will get used by like a TAM that is massive, right?

Speaker 0

在它上面会有很多公司进行构建。

Where you have multiple companies building on top of it.

Speaker 0

比如,像Solana、以太坊、Uniswap、Aave,对吧,基本上有其他公司或Morphos可以在这些基础设施上建立业务,而且实际的市场规模要大得多,几乎是整个世界,就潜在市场而言,对吧?

So for example, like the Solana, the Ethereum, the Uniswap, the Aave, right, where you basically have other companies or the Morphos where you can build businesses on top of that infrastructure and where actually the TAM is much, much bigger, where it's basically almost the entire world, like in terms of addressable market, right?

Speaker 0

任何处于中间位置的东西,既没有用户关系,又不是被大量人使用的核心基础设施,无论是交易、借贷、托管还是其他什么,我觉得都会非常艰难,对吧?

Anything that sits in between where you don't have the user relationship and your non core infrastructure that is basically used by a lot, a lot of people, whether it's trading, borrow land, or custodying or whatever you're doing, I think you're just going to have a very, very tough time, right?

Speaker 0

因为你会被夹在中间。

Because you're going get squeezed in the middle.

Speaker 0

所以,这就是我们现在关注的两类公司。

And so those are kind of the two types of companies that we're looking at right now.

Speaker 1

哦,真有意思。

Oh, so interesting.

Speaker 1

而且这很有道理。

And it makes a lot of sense.

Speaker 1

关于黑客攻击,我想问你一个问题:你说过,如果一个普通朋友来找你,想买比特币,你会建议他们买ETF。

One question I did want to ask you about the hacks was you said that if a normie friend came to you and they wanted to buy Bitcoin, you would recommend they get an ETF.

Speaker 1

你觉得在交易所持有现货的风险有多大?

How do you think about the threat level to owning spot on an exchange?

Speaker 1

你认为ETF仍然更安全,还是在加密货币交易所托管比特币也很安全?

Do you consider the ETF still safer or do you consider custody Bitcoin at a crypto exchange also safe?

Speaker 0

这是个好问题。

That's a great question.

Speaker 0

比如,你见过Bitget吧。

So you've seen Bitget, for example.

Speaker 0

加密货币交易所有应急基金,对吧,显然,他们可以在这种黑客攻击中使用。

The crypto exchanges have an emergency fund, right, obviously, that they can use in these sorts of hack.

Speaker 0

目前来看,Bybit和Bitget似乎已经能够补偿用户了。

And for now, it seems like the Bybit one, the Bitget one, they've been able to compensate users.

Speaker 0

但这确实看起来是会发生的事情。

But it does seem like this is something that happens.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得实际上对于像交易所这样的某些公司来说,老实说,安全和监管正开始成为越来越大的护城河,对吧?

And I think actually for a certain set of companies like the exchanges, I think honestly, security and regulation is starting to be the bigger and bigger moat, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得五年前内部更多是技术方面的竞争。

I think internally five years ago, it was more technology.

Speaker 0

嘿,你们有哪些资产?

Hey, assets do you have?

Speaker 0

你们能交易什么?

What can you trade?

Speaker 0

你们能交易期权吗?

Can you trade options?

Speaker 0

你能交易福利吗?

Can you trade perks?

Speaker 0

我觉得这部分还没有被商品化,但很多人都在那里竞争。

And I think that part is not commoditized, but I think a lot of people are competing there.

Speaker 0

现在,如果你在交易所工作,并且有完美的安全记录,从来没有被黑客攻击过,比如,你有一套许可证,在很多不同的司法管辖区运营。

Now, I think if you're in exchange and you have a perfect track record of security, you've never had axe, for example, you have a set of licenses that you operate in a lot of different jurisdiction.

Speaker 0

我几乎觉得现在那种无聊的事情正在变成护城河。

I almost feel like right now that's kind of the boring thing that is becoming a moat.

Speaker 0

如果你问我,劳拉,比如在交易所买现货比特币还是买ETF,交易所很重要。

If you ask me, Laura, like between spot Bitcoin on an exchange or an ETF, the exchange matter a lot.

Speaker 0

现在,如果我必须在交易所托管,我肯定会做很多研究,看看他们的安全设置是什么,有没有发生过事故,他们如何处理事故?

Right now, if I had to custody on an exchange, I would definitely do a lot of research on what are the security setups, has there been previous incidents, How are they dealing with incidents?

Speaker 0

他们有应急基金吗?

Do they have an emergency fund?

Speaker 0

应急基金有多大?

How big is the emergency fund?

Speaker 0

这些事情其实开始变得很重要了。

Those things start to matter a lot actually.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得,说实话,美国的交易所有优势。

And I think for that, honestly, it seems like The US exchanges have an advantage.

Speaker 0

它们受到的监管严格得多。

They're just much more regulated.

Speaker 0

它们是上市公司。

They're public companies.

Speaker 0

所以你有公开的资产负债表和收入。

So you have public balance sheet incomes.

Speaker 0

你就能清楚地了解这家公司,这在欧洲和亚洲的一些交易所可能做不到。

You just have a clear picture of the company that you probably don't have with some exchanges in Europe and in Asia.

Speaker 0

所以这大概是我现在能给出的建议。

So that's probably the advice I would give right now.

Speaker 0

至于安全设置,很明显,交易所之间有很多差异。

As for the security setup, like, clearly, there are a lot of differences between exchanges.

Speaker 0

我觉得这个会逐渐整合起来。

I think that is gonna get kind of consolidated.

Speaker 0

我猜,像美国的一些交易所,他们的团队肯定在非常深入地思考这个问题。

I assume, like, some of The US exchanges have teams that are thinking very, very deeply about this.

Speaker 0

比如,量子计算会怎么影响他们的安全设置?

So, like, how does quantum affect their security kind of setup?

Speaker 0

人工智能又会怎么影响他们的安全设置?

How does AI affect their their security setup?

Speaker 0

他们打算怎么过渡?

How are they going to transitions?

Speaker 0

他们所有的合作伙伴,比如托管方、交易所或者合作的券商,这些要怎么接入进来?

How is all the partners that they have, like custodians or exchanges or brokers that they work with, how is it going to plug into?

Speaker 0

所以这绝对是我三四年前可能根本不会去做的研究,但现在我觉得非常重要。

And so that's definitely some of the research that would probably never have done, like, three or four years ago that now I think is just very important.

Speaker 1

这跟Kelp DAO的情况很像,你得去问那些非常冷门的问题,才能真正了解真正的安全威胁是什么。

It's so similar to, like, the Kelp DAO thing where you need to ask questions about really obscure parts of the setup to have an understanding of what this true security threat is.

Speaker 1

在我们继续之前,因为我们肯定还会再聊这个。

Before we move, because we're definitely going to talk more about that.

Speaker 1

但在我们继续之前,我想特别问问你关于比特币面对量子威胁的情况,因为显然它有一些独特的问题,比如中本聪的币。

But before we move on, I did want to ask you about Bitcoin in particular when it comes to the quantum threat, because obviously it's has a sort of unique set of issues with like Satoshi's coins.

Speaker 1

还有社区的保守特性,甚至它的去中心化程度,以及他们有时很难达成共识。

Also, the kind of conservative nature of the community, even how decentralized it is and how hard they sometimes find it to come to consensus.

Speaker 1

所以我很好奇你对比特币应对量子威胁的能力有什么看法,以及他们应该如何处理这些困境。

So I was curious what your opinion is on how well Bitcoin can face the quantum threat and what they should do about some of the dilemmas.

Speaker 0

我觉得,正如你所说,中本聪的币让这个情况特别不同于其他币。

I think, as you said, the Satoshi coins make this case particularly different than the others.

Speaker 0

你看,关于这个已经有很多文章了。

Look, there's been a lot written about this.

Speaker 0

他们应该烧掉这些币吗?

Should they burn the coins?

Speaker 0

他们应该等到这些币被转移吗?

Should they wait until the coins are moved?

Speaker 0

他们是不是应该用这些币来支付电费和矿工的费用?

Should they use the coin to basically pay for tele emissions and miners?

Speaker 0

外面有很多种说法。

There's a lot of theories out there.

Speaker 0

说实话,我们内部一直在和行业里的一些大玩家以及核心开发团队进行很多讨论。

Honestly, we've been having a lot of talks internally with some of the biggest players in the industry and also the core dev team.

Speaker 0

我们和MicroStrategy以及其他一些考虑这个问题的公司组成了一个联盟。

We're in the kind of consortium with MicroStrategy and some of the other companies that are thinking about this.

Speaker 0

我觉得内部的情况和一年前相比已经发生了很大的变化。

And I think internally, things have changed a lot from a year ago.

Speaker 0

我觉得人们现在对这个问题的认识更深了,他们知道这个问题是真实存在的。

I think people are much more in tune with this and they know that the problem is kind of real.

Speaker 0

所以实际上我觉得他们比一年前要乐观得多。

So I actually think they're much more positive than a year ago.

Speaker 0

我觉得他们会在Q日之前找到解决方案,然后会有一个过渡期。

I think they'll find a solution before kind of Q Day and there'll be a transition.

Speaker 0

我不确定中本聪的币具体会怎么处理,但我觉得如果非要我说的话……

I don't know exactly what will be done with Satoshi's coins, but I think if I had to be...

Speaker 0

我觉得一年前我比现在担心得多。

I think I was much more worried a year ago than today.

Speaker 0

我觉得大家已经意识到这个问题了,而且正在努力解决,实际上已经有一些解决方案在推进了。

I think people are aware of this and they're working on it and there's actually solutions that are being addressed.

Speaker 0

所以我相信社区最终会达成一个结论。

And so I'm sure the community will arrive to a conclusion.

Speaker 0

而且现在依赖比特币的公司比两三年前多多了。

Also there are just more companies that are depending on Bitcoin right now than like two or three years ago.

Speaker 0

就像我说的,有ETF发行方、交易所,还有开发者、矿工。

Like, as I said, like you have the ETF issuers, you have the exchanges, you hired the devs, the miners.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得现在有更多人在思考这个问题。

And so I think there's just like more people thinking about the problem.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得他们应该能及时找到解决方案。

And so somehow I think they're going be able to find a solution in time.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

嗯,这听起来很积极,也让人安心。

Well, that's positive and reassuring.

Speaker 1

希望你说得对。

Hopefully you're right.

Speaker 1

那我们现在来聊聊这些额外的黑客攻击事件吧。

So let's now talk about these additional hacks.

Speaker 1

你之前提到了Ledger那次事件。

You alluded to the ledger one earlier.

Speaker 1

所以很明显,这次这个,我是说,就是……

So obviously this one is I mean, it's just.

Speaker 1

对,这让我想起了我们一直在看到的那些朝鲜黑客攻击,因为这次的问题在于一个经销商被卖给了新公司。

Yeah, it reminds me of all these North Korea hacks that we've been seeing because, you know, the issue here was a reseller was sold to a new company.

Speaker 1

前老板,我今天看到了,他在推特上说,他被禁止在10月19日之前告诉社区关于这次出售的事情,也就是下周。

The former owner, I saw this today, said on Twitter that he was forbidden to tell a community about the sale until October 19, which is next week.

Speaker 1

到目前为止,看起来大约有1亿美元被盗了。

And so far, it looks like about $100,000,000 has been stolen.

Speaker 1

这些都是从单个设备里偷走的。

This is all from, you know, individual devices.

Speaker 1

另外一点是,这才过了几周,就在Bitget被黑走4亿美元之后,情况还挺像的。

So the other thing that was like, this is just weeks after the Bitget hack for $400,000,000 and that was a sort of similar situation.

Speaker 1

他们用的是第三方供应商,据说是朝鲜那边黑了那个第三方供应商,从而入侵了他们的票务系统。

They were using this third party vendor and allegedly DPRK is the one who had compromised that third party vendor to get into tickets machinery.

Speaker 1

那你觉得,面对这类安全问题,个人该怎么保护自己?同时,整个行业又该如何在感觉如此脆弱的情况下,逐步迈入所谓的普及阶段呢?

So how do you think about these types of security issues in terms of how somebody can protect themselves against these types of situations, but also how the industry can grow into this era of so called adoption when it actually feels like it's so vulnerable?

Speaker 0

我觉得一方面,就像我们刚才聊到的,比如人工智能和量子威胁,这些更偏向于数学层面的问题。

So I think on one hand, like, we just talked about, like, AI and the quantum thread, which is more like, I would put it, like, mathematical.

Speaker 0

就是……

Like, it's...

Speaker 0

你得去搞懂背后的数学原理。

You have to kind of figure out the math.

Speaker 0

而现在,就像你说的,像Bitget和Ledger那种情况,更多是用户体验和界面以及安全方面的问题。

And now, like as you said, like the Bitget and Ledger one, it's more on the UX UI and kind of security.

Speaker 0

说实话,硬件钱包这个领域真的非常非常难。

And it seems like the hardware wallet space honestly is such a is very, very hard.

Speaker 0

因为供应链攻击太多了,要么是数据泄露之类的。

Because there are so many supply chain attacks that you can do either like data leaks.

Speaker 0

Trezor、Ledger和Coldcard,基本上所有大的钱包供应商,在过去两三年里都出过好几次问题。

I mean, you know, between, Trezor, Ledger and Coldcard, like all the big wallet providers, basically, they've all had like several problems, like, in the last two to three years.

Speaker 0

所以说实话,真的无处可藏。

So it's like there's nowhere to hide, honestly.

Speaker 0

从用户的角度来看,真的没有任何地方可以躲。

Like, from the user perspective, there is literally nowhere to hide.

Speaker 0

我觉得这个领域也很难,Laura,因为说实话,这……

I think it's a tough space also, Laura, because it's honestly, like, this...

Speaker 0

我不知道收入有多少,但很明显,这个行业赚的钱不足以吸引其他大玩家来帮忙解决这些问题。

I don't know what the revenue pull is, but clearly, it's not a part of the industry that makes enough money to basically entice other big players to come bail and kind of think about it.

Speaker 0

就像Ledger已经存在快十年了,而Coldcard和Trezor是较小的玩家,他们也在考虑这个问题。

It's like, Ledger has been around for almost ten years, and Coldcard and Trezor are smaller players and they are smaller players thinking about this.

Speaker 0

但现实是,硬件钱包是专门针对加密货币的。

But the reality is like the hardware wallet is so specific to crypto.

Speaker 0

这和矿机、ASIC芯片以及比特币面临的问题类似。

It's kind of the same problem with miners and ASICs and Bitcoin.

Speaker 0

它们就是专门为此而生产的。

It's like they're produced solely for this.

Speaker 0

它和其他消费类或金融类的安全问题没有重叠,我觉得这是一个非常小众的领域。

There is no overlap to any other kind of security problem of more consumer or like finance that I think is just a place where it's very niche.

Speaker 0

你大概有三到五家供应商已经存在十年了。

You kind of have three or five vendors that have been around for ten years.

Speaker 0

说实话,没人想进入这个领域,因为赚不到什么钱,这和矿机的情况差不多。

Nobody wants to get in this space because there's not a lot of money to be made, quite honestly, which is kinda the same with miners.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得这个领域创新不多。

And so I think it's just a space where there hasn't been a lot of innovation.

展开剩余字幕(还有 335 条)
Speaker 0

这是一个很难做的领域,而且我觉得也很难赚钱。

It's a very hard space to build, and I think it's very hard to monetize.

Speaker 0

说到硬件钱包,这个问题确实挺疯狂的,基本上就是在硬件钱包的定制硬件里植入恶意芯片,用来窃取助记词。

In terms of hardware wallets, like, yeah, it seems like this problem in particular was pretty crazy where they were basically implanted within the hardware wallet custom hardware to be able to steal basically the seed phrase.

Speaker 0

这是通过马来西亚一个被批准的第三方供应商做的,但其实并不是Ledger自己干的。

And it was through a third party vendor in Malaysia that was approved, but it wasn't really Ledger.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,对最终用户来说,这一切管理起来真的太复杂了,他们根本没时间处理这些。

And so I think all of this to the end user is just so complicated to manage honestly, and they don't have time to do this.

Speaker 0

所以我又回到我之前的观点,我觉得加密货币的边缘用户最终会通过中心化交易所或者其他托管方式,而不是自我托管。

And so I think I come back to where I think the marginal end user in crypto is, and I think it's gonna be through kind of centralized exchange and other forms of custody basically than that are not like self custody.

Speaker 1

这真的很有意思,考虑到加密货币的起源,以及推动它走向主流的那些运动。

Which is so interesting given the way crypto started and the whole movements that kind of launched it toward the mainstream.

Speaker 1

那我们换个话题吧,因为我注意到你今年发了不少关于以太坊的推文。

So now let's switch topics because I noticed you have been tweeting a fair bit about Ethereum this year.

Speaker 1

看起来你的立场有点变化,因为年初你说,从宏观角度看,ETH开始显得非常独特。

It sort of looks like your position has changed a little bit because you started the year saying, I think ETH is starting to look really uniquely positioned from a macro perspective.

Speaker 1

你提到了量子就绪、升级的灵活性,还有其他几个因素。

You cited quantum readiness, flexibility around upgrades or a few other factors.

Speaker 1

当时,我觉得你说得对。

At that time, I think I agreed with you.

Speaker 1

然后到了七月,你发推说以太坊的经济学定价不公平,尤其是相对于Robinhood链来说。

Then in July, you tweeted about Ethereum's economics not being priced fairly, especially in relationship to, for example, Robinhood chain.

Speaker 1

我很好奇你现在对以太坊网络和ETH资产本身的看法。

And I was curious for your opinions now currently on both Ethereum, the network, and ETH asset.

Speaker 0

这是两件不同的事,所以我觉得我们两个都谈一下比较好。

And there are two separate things, so I think it's good that we touch on both.

Speaker 0

从网络的角度来看,就价值捕获而言,我觉得很明显,目前的价值捕获机制是有问题的。

I think from the network perspective, in terms of value accrual, I think it's pretty clear that where we are today, the value accrual is pretty broken.

Speaker 0

想象一下以太坊能捕获数十亿美元的价值,这真的很难想象,甚至可以说几乎不可能。

I think imagining a world where Ethereum accrues several billions of dollar is just very hard to imagine, if not clearly impossible.

Speaker 0

因为有两个原因。

Because we have two things.

Speaker 0

基本上,基础层就是用来存储资产的。

It's basically the base layer is used to store assets.

Speaker 0

就像,基础层上没什么活动,所以它不会产生……

Like, not much activity is happening at the base layer, so it doesn't produce...

Speaker 0

就像,它……

Like, it...

Speaker 0

它不会产生很多费用。

It's not producing a lot of fees.

Speaker 0

基本上,活动都被外包到这些二层网络上了。

And basically, activity has been outsourced to these layer twos.

Speaker 0

说实话,主要就是两个二层网络,Base 和 Robinhood。

And frankly, like, mainly two layer twos, it's base and Robinhood.

Speaker 0

还有其他的二层网络,比如 Light 和……

And, like, there are other layer twos, like lighter and...

Speaker 0

但基本上,就是五到七个二层网络占据了99%的活动。

But it's basically, like, five to seven layer twos that have, like, 99 of the of the activity.

Speaker 0

而且这些费用并没有……

And those fees are not...

Speaker 0

没有……

Isn't...

Speaker 0

它们并没有流入Tether的口袋。

They're not accruing to to Tether.

Speaker 0

就像我之前提到的Robinhood的情况,Robinhood每天能赚几百万美元,而以太坊的基础层却只收到100美元,真的就是100到200美元的样子。

Like, I I made the point with Robinhood is, like, Robinhood was making several millions of dollars a day, and basically, Ethereum base layer was accruing $100, like literally a 100 to $200.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得从价值捕获的角度来看,情况已经很明朗了。我之前也写过这方面的内容:以太坊采用的是特许经营模式,也就是说通过授权方来实现扩展,比如现在主要的就是 Base 和 Robinhood。

And so I think from a value accrual perspective, like, it's pretty clear, and I've written about this where Ethereum has this franchise model where basically it's scaling through franchises, right, like really base and Robinhood.

Speaker 0

你可以把它想象成麦当劳的加盟模式。

You can think of it as a McDonald's franchise, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得以太坊基金会以及围绕以太坊生态的人还没真正意识到这一点,他们没明白,以太坊第一层的增长已经停滞了。

I think just the Ethereum foundation and people around Ethereum haven't internalized it and they're not realizing, but growth is not happening anymore at the Ethereum layer one, right?

Speaker 0

所以我认为 ETH 的表现不佳,就是因为大家开始把这一点计入价格考量了。

And so I think just ethic acid is just, you know, it hasn't done very well because I think people are starting to price that.

Speaker 0

我觉得第二点是,代币化正在改变整个……

I think number two is tokenization is just changing the whole...

Speaker 0

整个市场和结构。

The entire market and structure.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得大家还没意识到,你看代币化股票和交易量,基本上都发生在Solana、Base和Robinhood上。

And I think also people are not realizing where if you see, like, the tokenized equities and the trading volume, it's basically all happening on Solana, Base, and Robinhood.

Speaker 0

所以我们在内部思考,未来两三年什么会增长最快?

And so internally, as we think, okay, what is gonna grow the most like in the next two to three years?

Speaker 0

我们认为是RWA。

And we think it's gonna be RWAs.

Speaker 0

我确实觉得以太坊这个资产会继续增长,但它更可能像……

Like, I do think Ethereum, the asset is gonna continue to grow, but it's gonna be most like...

Speaker 0

我觉得赢家会是RWA。

I think the winner is gonna be RWAs.

Speaker 0

如果以太坊基础层上什么都没发生,所有活动都在Base、Robinhood和二层网络上,那我看不出为什么以太坊L1不会变成一个只用来发布证明的层。

If nothing is happening on the Ethereum base layer and all the activity is happening on base Robinhood and on the layer twos, like, I don't see why Ethereum L1 just doesn't become just a layer where you post proof.

Speaker 0

就是说,它基本上就是个数据可用性层,以太坊就……

Like, where it's basically a DA layer where Ethereum bay...

Speaker 0

就是说,Robinhood、Base 和其他二层网络把他们的证明发上去,这其实就是现在的情况。

Like, where Robinhood base and other layer twos post their proof, which is literally what happens today.

Speaker 0

然后以太坊上大概有价值500亿到1000亿的稳定币,对吧?如果你快进一下,想象一下,如果大部分活动都发生在二层网络上,那这些稳定币可能有一部分会被吸引过去,对吧?

And then you have like kind of, I think 50 to 100,000,000,000 worth of stablecoins and Ethereum obviously, which, you know, if you fast forward, like, you'd imagine like some of them being pulled into the layer twos if most of the activity happens there, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得以太坊的人可能觉得情况是反过来的。

I think Ethereum people think that it's the opposite way.

Speaker 0

因为以太坊一层上有大量资产,所以会吸引活动过来。

Because there's a lot of assets on Ethereum L1, it'll pull the activity.

Speaker 0

但新用户根本不在乎某个代币是不是在一层发行的,那种小玩意儿。

But like the net new user doesn't care about, you know, a token, a bit of fun like, you know, that is issued on L1.

Speaker 0

他们想交易Circle的股票。

Like they want to trade the Circle stock.

Speaker 0

他们想交易英伟达,而这些交易都发生在Base和Robinhood上。

They want to trade Nvidia and that is happening on base and Robinhood.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得这里存在一个矛盾,以太坊需要明确自己的战略到底是什么。

And so I think there's just like a dichotomy here where Ethereum needs to choose exactly what is its strategy.

Speaker 0

而Solana没有这个问题,因为所有活动都发生在它的基础层上。

And that's not happening on Solana because everything is happening on their base layer.

Speaker 0

但我觉得他们应该接受这一点,然后说,嘿,我们要么扩展L1,真正努力去吸引活动。

But I think that they should just embrace this and say, hey, we either want to scale the L1 and we're actually going to make efforts to have activity.

Speaker 0

我们要提高吞吐量,希望应用都留在这里。

We're going to scale the throughput and we want applications to be here.

Speaker 0

要么我们完全变成特许经营模式,支持L2,并且更好地支持它们,但活动会发生在二层。

Or we fully become a franchise model where we're going to support the L2s and we're going to support them in a better way, but activity is going to happen at the layer two level.

Speaker 0

我们会努力增加交易量,改变经济模式。

And we're going to try to accrue more volume and kind of change the economics.

Speaker 0

我觉得现在他们就是在两边都下注,但两边都做得不太好。

I think right now, it's just playing both games and not very well, basically.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得他们现有的用户和传统金融的老用户之间的重叠其实非常小。

And I think the overlap between the users that you have right now and the TradFi OG users is just very small, actually.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得新用户其实不太关心以太坊一层上发生了什么,这跟我们对比特币和比特币二层网络的看法差不多。

And so I think the new user doesn't care much about what is happening on Ethereum one, which was kind of the same thesis we had with Bitcoin and Bitcoin layer twos.

Speaker 0

我们当时想的是,持有比特币的人群,大概就是那些45岁左右的白人,2000年、2010年那会儿就早早进入科技圈的人。

We just thought like in terms of the demography of like people that have Bitcoin, they're like white 45 year old people that were early in tech, like in the 2000, 2010.

Speaker 0

这些人不太可能去把比特币跨链到二层,然后拿去DeFi里质押,搞些奇怪的操作,冒那些风险,对吧?

They're not the same people that are going to want to bridge Bitcoin to an L2 and then stake it in DeFi and do weird stuff and like take risks, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得同样的事情也发生在以太坊和整个加密领域,尤其是跟RWA相关的那批新用户,基本上就是这样,你明白我的意思吧。

And I think the same thing is happening on Ethereum and in crypto in general with RWAs and this kind of new set of users, basically, if that makes sense.

Speaker 1

我觉得挺讽刺的一点是,在NFT时代,以太坊的价值积累或者说关于活跃度和价值的论点之所以成立,是因为人们想要以太坊一层上的NFT,觉得那些NFT更有价值。

I think, like, one of the kind of ironies really is that the value accrual or the thesis around activity and the value of Ethereum that worked during the NFT era because people wanted NFTs that were on the Ethereum L1, and those NFTs were considered more valuable.

Speaker 1

而且有意思的是,这背后的原因纯粹就是地位象征,真的挺好笑的。

And it's so interesting because the reason for that was literally just about status, which is so funny.

Speaker 1

就是说,一个NFT只要在以太坊一层上,就自带一种特别的光环,我们就这么叫它吧。

Like, just having an NFT on the Ethereum L1 gave it some extra, you know, special sauce, we'll just call it.

Speaker 1

所以这挺讽刺的,因为这完全不像……

And so it's sort of ironic because it's completely not like...

Speaker 1

这没什么逻辑或理性可言。

There's no, like, logical or rational.

Speaker 1

你没法把它放进代币经济系统里。

Like, you can't put that into a tokenomic system.

Speaker 1

你明白我的意思吗?

You know what I mean?

Speaker 1

但那是唯一一次这些因素真正对齐,让以太坊受益。

But that was like the one time when actually those lined up and benefited Ethereum.

Speaker 0

我觉得这很难说。

I think it's hard.

Speaker 0

你看,我们其实也很谦虚。

Look, we're also like pretty like we're also very humble.

Speaker 0

当我说这个的时候,意思是存在非零概率。

And when I say this is it's there's a non zero probability.

Speaker 0

我觉得有些一层网络实际上不赚钱,但随着时间的推移会变得非常有价值。

I think that some of these layer ones actually don't make any money and become like very, very valuable networks over time.

Speaker 0

比如说你看比特币,比特币永远不会像那样,你可以用现金流折现或者EV/EBITDA倍数来给比特币估值,因为它不赚钱,对吧?

Like, if you look at Bitcoin, Bitcoin will never do like, you can value Bitcoin on discounted cash flow or EV to EBITDA multiples because it doesn't make any money, right?

Speaker 0

我并不是说你能有一个和以太坊非常相似的东西,因为我认为那种不可编程的价值储存,可能可以有10个一层网络在这个领域里竞争。

And I'm not saying that you can have like something very similar to Ethereum because I think that kind of non programmable store of value, you probably can have like, you know, 10 layer ones playing in that field.

Speaker 0

我不觉得不可能,在五到十年后,以太坊上可能有价值5万亿美元的资产,而以太坊本身并不赚很多钱,但以太坊仍然非常有价值,如果资产被合理估值的话。

I don't see it impossible, a world in five to ten years where there's probably like $5,000,000,000,000 worth of assets on Ethereum and Ethereum is not making a lot of money and Ethereum is still very valuable like if the asset is valued like very properly.

Speaker 0

我觉得这个概率很小。

I think it's a very small probability.

Speaker 0

这大概是我不会去押注的那种情况。

It's probably one that I don't want to bet on.

Speaker 0

我更希望以太坊真的能赚钱,但我觉得这种情况是有可能的。

Like I'd rather have Ethereum actually make money, but I think it's one that is possible.

Speaker 0

可能性非常小,但我认为这绝对是一种可能。

It's a very small possibility, but I think it's definitely one.

Speaker 1

关于比特币的问题在于,如果这种情况真的发生了,那比特币的安全性就完蛋了。

The issue about the Bitcoin one, is that if that actually happens, then Bitcoin security is effed.

Speaker 1

那整个币的价值就全完了。

Then the whole value of the coin is effed.

Speaker 1

不过依我看,他们得先把安全问题解决了。

Yet they, in my opinion, need to solve the security issue.

Speaker 1

行吧。

All right.

Speaker 1

咱们继续聊聊代币经济学。

Let's actually keep talking about tokenomics.

Speaker 1

节目录制前你跟我说过,你觉得股票回购挺没意义的。

You told me before the show you think buybacks are dumb.

Speaker 1

那是你用的原话。

It was a word you used.

Speaker 1

你是不是觉得大家太关注回购这件事了?

You think they get too much attention?

Speaker 1

我很想听听你在这方面的具体看法。

I would love to hear more about your thesis there.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得它们挺蠢的。

Look, I think they're dumb.

Speaker 0

可能这个词有点重。

It's probably a strong word.

Speaker 0

老实说,我觉得大家在这个话题上已经疯了。

I think people have become crazy with this topic, honestly.

Speaker 0

就是,这……

Like, it's it's...

Speaker 0

加密推特上整天就聊这个。

Crypto Twitter only talks about that.

Speaker 0

我觉得有两件事。

Like, I think there's there's two things.

Speaker 0

我同意,对很多项目来说,股权和代币的双重模式在投资者价值获取和公司整体兴趣方面确实是个大问题,对吧?

I agree that the dual equity and token model for a lot of these projects has been just a huge problem in terms of investor value accrual and interest in general in the companies, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得解决办法基本上就是这些协议里的一些公司说,嘿,我们想表明代币很重要,所以我们要回购代币并销毁,这样持有代币的人就开心了,基本上就是这样。

I think the remedy to that has basically been some of the companies in these protocols say, hey, we want to signal that the token has importance, so we're going to buy back the token and we're going to burn the token so people that have the token are happy, basically.

Speaker 0

从某种意义上说,我同意。

In some sense, I agree.

Speaker 0

我觉得这已经变得不合理了,比如那些非常早期的初创公司,就是一两三年前才融资的,现在却把收入的100%用来回购代币。

I think it's just taken to an irrational place where you have very early stage startups, like literally startups that raised one, two, three years ago that are using 100% of their revenue to buy back the token.

Speaker 0

我觉得这完全疯了,对吧,因为如果你是初创公司,这显然不是正确的资本配置方式。

And I just found that completely crazy, right, because it's clearly not the right way to allocate capital if you're a startup.

Speaker 0

我发过推文说这个。

And I tweeted about this.

Speaker 0

挺搞笑的。

It's pretty funny.

Speaker 0

你看AI风投市场,投资者直接给初创公司打电话,融资后一周就抢先进行下一轮,给他们更多钱。

You have the AI venture market where literally investors are calling the startups and they're preempting rounds like a week after they raise to give them more money.

Speaker 0

而在加密领域,我们有一两年历史的初创公司,他们说,嘿,我们最好的资本投资方式就是回购并销毁我们的代币。

And in crypto, we have like one or two year old startups that are, you know, they're saying, hey, like the best way we can invest capital is just going to be to buy back and burn our model.

Speaker 0

说实话,从投资角度来看,这真的很让人反感,因为你基本上是在告诉我,嘿,我们觉得自己是最好的,我们觉得没有增长空间了,最好的资本使用方式就是回购代币。

And honestly, like from the investment perspective, it's such a turnoff because basically you're telling me like, hey, we think we're the best, we think there's nowhere to grow and like the best use of capital is just to buy back the token.

Speaker 0

而且我们显然知道,对很多这样的公司来说,这并不是真正的答案,但他们基本上是被逼着去回购、去购买并销毁代币。

And obviously we know that's not the real answer for a lot of these companies, but they're basically getting bullied into buy back you know, into buying and burning the token.

Speaker 0

我觉得这真的太疯狂了,对吧?

And I think that's just like, it's just crazy, right?

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,这是其中一点。

So I think one thing, that's one thing.

Speaker 0

第二点是,我觉得有些公司普遍看不到自己规模扩大十倍的可能性。

The second thing is I think generally some companies don't see a path to becoming 10x bigger.

Speaker 0

所以他们基本上就是用这个来分配资金,让投资者满意,对吧?

And so they're using that basically to allocate the capital and make investors happy, right?

Speaker 0

比如,我更希望一个创始人来跟我说,嘿,我的稳定币供应量是50亿美元。

Like, would rather a founder come to me and say, hey, my stablecoin is like $5,000,000,000 of supply.

Speaker 0

我看到了一个清晰的市场或路径,可以做到500亿美元。

I see like a clear market or pathway to becoming like 50,000,000,000.

Speaker 0

我会用这笔资金去做这件事。

I'm gonna use the capital to do this.

Speaker 0

对,百分之百,我宁愿那样,而不是回购代币。

Like, 100%, I'd rather have that instead of kind of buying back the token.

Speaker 0

还有一件事大家也忘了,Laura,就是以前有很多非常成功的公司也在做同样的事情。

One thing that people forget also, Laura, is like you had a lot of past companies that were super successful and that were doing the same thing.

Speaker 0

我敢打赌,那些公司很多都后悔当初那么做了,对吧?

I bet a lot of those companies wish they hadn't, right?

Speaker 0

比如你回头看,像DYDX、OpenSea、Blur这些公司,它们的代币经济模型都差不多,现在显然都已经不行了。

Like if you go back and you see like the DYDX, the OpenSees, the Blurs, like some of those companies have similar tokenomics and clearly they're dead now.

Speaker 0

所以那时候那样用资金并不是个好主意。

So it wasn't a good use of capital at that time.

Speaker 0

你明白我的意思吧?

You know what I mean?

Speaker 0

所以我不想说得那么讽刺,但我觉得大家太关注回购和价值累积这些事了。

And so I don't wanna be, like, you know, that sarcastic, but I think people are just focusing too much on the buyback and, like, value accrual kind of thing.

Speaker 1

你刚才说的让我想起,在pump ICO之后,有人在推特上说,哦,好吧。

Your comments here remind me of how after the pump ICO, somebody tweeted, oh, okay.

Speaker 1

所以我们给了你这么多钱去买这些币,但现在你要用这些钱从我们这里把币买回去。

So we sent you all this money to buy these coins, but now you're going to use that money to buy the coins back from us.

Speaker 1

我觉得这太搞笑了。

And I thought it was hilarious.

Speaker 1

对,基本上就是这么回事。

Like, yeah, that's basically what's going on here.

Speaker 0

确实。

It is.

Speaker 0

真的就是这样。

Is literally.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,像Bump这样的公司,我更希望团队说,嘿,我们在做这个迷因币市场。

And that's why I think like for some of these companies, like for Bump, for example, like I would much rather have the team say, hey, we're doing this meme coin market.

Speaker 0

我们认为这个市场能增长到这个规模。

This is a market that we think can grow to this.

Speaker 0

我们想扩展到这些领域,我们认为这需要这么多资金和资源,这是我们看到的市场规模,以及我们如何在这个市场中成长。

We want to expand to this and this, and we think it's going to take this much money and resources and this is how big we see the market and how we can grow into it.

Speaker 0

我不希望他们回购代币,对吧?

I don't want them to buy back the token, right?

Speaker 0

从长远来看,这对协议没有任何帮助。

Like it doesn't do anything for the protocol in the long run.

Speaker 0

所以,是的,正如你所说,对于那些真正筹集了大量资金的公司和协议来说,这种做法就更说不通了,说实话。

So, yeah, and as you said, like, for companies and protocols that have actually raised a lot of money, it makes even less sense, to be honest.

Speaker 1

不过出于好奇,你对 Hyperliquid 也是这么看的吗?毕竟它在这个领域算是个宠儿。

But out of curiosity, so you also think that about hyper liquid because, obviously, that's sort of, like, the darling in this category.

Speaker 0

它确实是宠儿。

It is the darling.

Speaker 0

而且我觉得现在,显然 Hype 占据了大部分市场份额,但我觉得,对,我觉得它并不是最好的应用场景。

And I think right now, obviously, Hype has most of the market share, but I think, yeah, I think it's not the best use case.

Speaker 0

我发推讨论过这个事。

I tweeted about this.

Speaker 0

我当时是半开玩笑半认真,比如我发帖说 Hyperliquid 应该在美收购 Gemini,我觉得他们应该把这家交易所买下来。

I was half joking, but I was half serious, like, when I posted that Hyperliquid should buy Gemini in The US, and I think they should acquire the exchange.

Speaker 0

说实话,我和团队讨论过很多次,我觉得L1们在策略上一直都非常单一,对吧?

I think to be completely honest, and I've discussed this a lot with the team, I think L1s have been very, very monolithic as to the strategy, right?

Speaker 0

我觉得在分发方面,比如收购其他公司、收购技术、收购人才。

I think in terms of distribution, like acquiring other companies, acquiring technology, acquiring talent.

Speaker 0

我觉得用代币可以做很多事情。

I think there's a lot of things that you can do with the token.

Speaker 0

而且他们实际上有巨大的市值。

And they actually have these huge market caps.

Speaker 0

比如在高峰期,以太坊的市值超过5000亿美元。你知道,如果你用市值的1%,就能收购价值50亿美元的东西。那是很多钱。

Like at peak, Ethereum was worth more than $500,000,000,000 You know, if you use like 1% of market cap, you can acquire something for $5,000,000,000 That's a lot of money.

Speaker 0

比如你可以用那笔钱收购很多东西。

Like you could acquire a lot of things with that.

Speaker 0

我只是举个例子。

I'm just giving, you know, an example.

Speaker 0

所以对于HYBE来说,看吧,我觉得他们会面临更多竞争。

So for HYBE, look, think they're going to have more competition.

Speaker 0

我觉得永续合约会变得非常非常竞争激烈。

I think perps is gonna get very, very competitive.

Speaker 0

我认为这个市场会越来越受到监管。

I think it's a market that is gonna become increasingly regulated.

Speaker 0

现在美国已经批准了永续合约。

You now have perps like approved in The US.

Speaker 0

我觉得股票永续合约也会被批准。

I think you're gonna have stock perps also approved.

Speaker 0

所以像Coinbase、Robinhood、Backpack这些平台,都会在那里竞争。

So Coinbase, Robinhood, you know, the backpacks of the world, they're all going to compete there.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得你需要有足够的资源去竞争,而不是把代币回购销毁。

And so I think you want to be in a position where you have resources to be able to compete, right, and not buying back and burning the token.

Speaker 0

而且,也许你可以这么做,但不必是程序化的、一成不变的。

And look, like maybe you can do that, but it doesn't have to be programmatic and like something like set in stone.

Speaker 0

你明白我的意思吗?

You know what I mean?

Speaker 0

你可以按月来决定。

Like you can decide on the month to month basis.

Speaker 0

这取决于市场周期,对吧?

You know, like it depends on market cycles, right?

Speaker 0

比如你的代币某天可能值一千亿,但下个月可能就只值六百亿了。

Like your token may be worth like 100,000,000,000 one day and, like, the month after that, it's maybe worth, like, 60,000,000,000.

Speaker 0

基本上,策略可能就不一样了。

And maybe the strategy isn't the same, basically.

Speaker 0

我就是这个意思。

That's kind of what I'm saying.

Speaker 1

哦,有意思。

Oh, interesting.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

我之前节目里请过其他投资者,他们说法正好相反,认为程序化回购会向投资者传递某种信号,基本上能增强对代币的信心。

I've had other investors on the show who said the opposite, that they thought programmatic would signal something to the investor and basically create more confidence in the token.

Speaker 1

不过,好吧,

But anyway, Okay,

Speaker 0

就是在那方面慢一点。

just slow on that.

Speaker 0

这不像团队可以设定程序化回购那样,基本上就是自动的。

That doesn't make the same way like a team can make a buyback programmatic, which means like, you know, it's basically automated.

Speaker 0

他们第二天也可以做同样的事,基本上又回到旧模式,所以程序化并不会给你更多信心,对吧?

They can do the same the day after where they basically, you know, they go back to the old model and so it doesn't give you any more confidence that it's programmatic, right?

Speaker 0

比如明天,那个炒作团队可能会说,嘿,各位,我们不会销毁任何代币了,我们要归零。

Like tomorrow, the hype team could come and say, hey, guys, we're not going to burn like any tokens, we're going to go to zero.

Speaker 0

他们确实可以这么做。

And they could do that.

Speaker 0

所以很明显,自动化的东西意义不大,对吧?

And so clearly the automatic thing doesn't mean much, right?

Speaker 0

说到底,我觉得这就是人们常常忽略这些协议和团队的地方。

Like at the end of the day, I think that's what people forget about these protocols in teams.

Speaker 0

你得对团队进行尽职调查。

You have to underwrite the team.

Speaker 0

所以你必须……

And so you have to...

Speaker 0

你得信任团队会做正确的事情。

There's some trust in the team that they're gonna do the right thing.

Speaker 0

如果项目这么早就需要把这些东西写进代码,那可不是好兆头。

Like, if you have to encode some of this stuff, like, that early into the project, it's not good.

Speaker 0

说实话,这有点像是一个危险信号。

Like, it's kind of a red flag, to be honest.

Speaker 1

哦,哇。

Oh, wow.

Speaker 1

有意思。

Interesting.

Speaker 1

所以你发推说,你认为代币化股票在三年内可能会超过稳定币的链上供应量。

So you tweeted that you think tokenized equities could surpass stablecoins and on chain supply in three years.

Speaker 1

这真是太了不起了。

That was remarkable.

Speaker 1

ARK 自己也在把它的 13 亿美元风险基金 ARK VX 通过证券化产品带到链上。

ARK itself is bringing its $1,300,000,000 venture fund ARK VX on chain through securitized.

Speaker 1

我还想提一下,你之前的预测特别有意思,因为代币化股票刚刚超过了全球稳定币供应量的 1%,这个你也发过推文。

And, you know, I also want to just mention that the call you made is so interesting because tokenized equities just recently passed 1% of global stablecoin supply, which you also tweeted about.

Speaker 1

所以,考虑到目前稳定币和代币化股票的规模差距,你为什么这么看好代币化,觉得它很快会超过稳定币的供应量呢?

So given kind of how big stablecoins are compared to tokenized equities right now, why are you so bullish tokenization that you think it would soon outpace stablecoin supply?

Speaker 0

我觉得,如果你看看现在的市场,大概有 3000 亿美元的稳定币,对吧,把所有发行方加起来。

So I think if you look if you look at the market right now, you roughly have, like, 300,000,000,000 worth of stablecoins, right, between, like, all the issuers.

Speaker 0

基本上,你把所有发行方都算上。

Basically, you take all the issuers.

Speaker 0

我觉得,即使在稳定币这个领域,现在也还非常非常早期。

I think mainly even in the stablecoin story, like it's super, super early.

Speaker 0

大家都在谈支付、跨境支付、汇款这些。

You know, people talk about payments and like cross border payments and like remittances and stuff like that.

Speaker 0

实际上,如果你看看链上的情况和使用场景,大部分是……

The reality, if you look on chain and kind of the use cases, it's mostly...

Speaker 0

基本上,产品市场契合点就是把美元输出到新兴市场。

Basically, the PMF is exporting the dollar to emerging markets.

Speaker 0

就像,那个……

Like, that...

Speaker 0

这就是今天稳定币真正的产品市场契合点。

That's a real PMF of of stablecoins today.

Speaker 0

我觉得这很棒。

I think it's great.

Speaker 0

我觉得这意味着我们真的还处于非常早期的阶段。

I think it it means, like, we're very, very early on.

Speaker 0

而且我认为像汇款这样的更多用例,有很多优秀的公司在做这些,迟早会实现的。

And I think more use cases like remittances, I think there's a lot of great companies working on this, they're gonna happen at some point.

Speaker 0

我觉得如果你看看美国资本市场,新兴市场和离岸市场对美股交易和获取美股的需求是非常巨大的。

I think if you see like The US capital markets, I think the demand to do things with US stocks and getting access to US stocks is extremely large in emerging markets and offshore basically.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得你实际上会看到非常相似的情况,代币化股票增长的第一阶段,我认为会集中在少数几只股票上,基本上就是把资产出口到其他国家,分发这些资产。

And so I think you'll see something very similar actually, where the first leg of growth of tokenized stocks, I think it's going to be very concentrated in a few stocks, it's going to be basically exporting the asset to other countries, distributing the assets.

Speaker 0

所以现在,我们还处于非常非常早期的阶段。

And so right now, we're very, very early.

Speaker 0

如果你看代币化股票,永续合约是主要的交易工具。

If you see like tokenized equities, perps is the dominant kind of trading primitive.

Speaker 0

我觉得现货交易会需要更长时间,因为你得有资产,你得存储资产,现在你有创新豁免,你实际上得接入美国股市,还得和一堆托管机构、清算所等等打交道。

I think spot is going to take more time because you need, you know, you have the asset, you have to store the asset, you know, now you have the innovation exemption, You actually have to plug into The US equities and you have to work with a bunch of the custodians, the clearing houses and all that stuff.

Speaker 0

所以这会更耗时。

So it's going to take longer.

Speaker 0

但我觉得从吸引力来看,以及我们在加密货币领域所构建的东西,最大的产品市场契合点就是金融。

But I think in terms of appeal and what we've built in crypto, like the biggest PMF is finance.

Speaker 0

比如,区块链在转移、存储和管理资金以及代表价值的资产方面非常非常擅长。

Like, think blockchains are very, very good at moving, storing and managing money and assets that represent basically that have value.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得股票只是自然的演变。

And so I think equities are just like the normal evolution.

Speaker 0

说实话,我们对代币化非常看好。

We're very bullish, honestly, on tokenization.

Speaker 0

这也是为什么我们把风投基金也代币化了。

And that's why we've tokenized our venture fund.

Speaker 0

我觉得稳定币还会继续增长,未来几年大概每年复合增长率超过40%。

I think stablecoins, again, I think they're going to continue to grow probably like 40 plus percent CAGR a year, like compounded over the next few years.

Speaker 0

但我觉得股票,还有各种不同类型的资产,也会增长很多。

But I think equities and you'll have like different flavors are also going to grow a lot.

Speaker 0

还有一点,我们加密领域的很多收益其实都是循环的,对吧?

I'll also say one thing, like most of the yield that we have in crypto is very circular, right?

Speaker 0

大部分类似固定收益的加密收益,要么依赖杠杆借贷市场,要么就是循环质押ETH或Solana的收益,比如你在Aave、Morpho这些市场上看到的很多收益。

Like most of the fixed ish income kind of yield in crypto depends either on leverage, you know, borrow land markets or looping basically ETH or Solana yield, like a lot of the yield that you can see on Aave, Morpho and all of these markets.

Speaker 0

我觉得股票能带来一批新的资产。

I think just equities, they bring like a new set of assets.

Speaker 0

它们的波动方式不一样。

They're volatile, like, a different way.

Speaker 0

所以,从收益的角度来看,我觉得这会带来更多不相关的收益,基本上和比特币、以太坊、Solana这三大资产不挂钩。

And so also, like, in terms of yield, I think it's gonna bring, like, more uncorrelated yield that is not correlated to the big three basically, Bitcoin, Ethan, and Sol.

Speaker 0

这对市场来说会非常非常健康。

And that is gonna be, like, very, very healthy for markets.

Speaker 0

基本上会吸引不同类型的用户。

It's gonna attract, like, a different set of users, basically.

Speaker 0

所以这就是为什么我们对RWA整体非常兴奋,也是我们为什么把风投基金代币化的原因。

So that's why, like, we're just very excited about RWAs in general and what we tokenized the venture fund.

Speaker 1

我还想知道,当你这么做的时候,有没有想过这会影响它的交易?

I mean, I was also wondering if when you did that, if you had thoughts on how it might affect the trading of it.

Speaker 1

我明白,显然现在代币化股票规模还很小,所以……

I understand, obviously, that, you know, tokenized equities are so small right now, so there...

Speaker 1

这本身也会带来一些影响。

There's just that also, which will have its own effect.

Speaker 1

但你觉得在交易方面,它会和传统金融里的情况一模一样吗?

But do you think it will just look, you know, in terms of the training, it'll look exactly like, you know, how it does in TradFi?

Speaker 0

这个问题问得好。

So it's a good question.

Speaker 0

目前,你可以通过Securitize在链上申购和赎回基金,但二级交易市场还没有开放。

So right now, you can basically subscribe and redeem to the fund on chain, basically, through Securitize but there's no secondary trading market right now enabled just yet.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,和Securitize的合作只是第一步,对吧?

And so I think there's it's really like what we do with Securitize, it's really the first step, right?

Speaker 0

我们想把基金代币化,但真正的工作现在才开始。

We wanted to tokenize the fund But I think the real work really starts now.

Speaker 0

显然,未来几个月的更多指导会有所帮助。

I think more guidance, obviously, over the next kind of months will help.

Speaker 0

我觉得代币化风投基金能带来很多传统金融中普通股票无法实现的用途,我们对此非常兴奋。

I think there's a lot of utility that we can bring to the tokenized venture fund and stuff that you cannot do in trade fights with the normal shares, and we're very excited.

Speaker 0

但就定价而言,现在如果你申购风投基金,净值基本上是公开的,对吧?

But in terms of pricing, right now, if you subscribe to the venture fund, the NAV is basically public, right?

Speaker 0

所以链上和链下的净值本质上是一样的,对吧?

So the NAV will be the same off chain and on chain, essentially, right?

Speaker 0

所以目前链上还没有二级市场流动性。

And so there is no secondary liquidity in market on chain just now.

Speaker 0

我觉得也许将来某个时候我们会开放这个功能。

I think perhaps it's something that we will enable at some point.

Speaker 0

所以再说一次,现在还很早。

So again, like still very early.

Speaker 0

我们非常有信心。

I think we're very confident.

Speaker 0

对我们来说,关键是我们能不能触达一批新的用户,比如链上用户,我们真的把加密货币看作一个新的分销平台。

For us, really, it was can we get to a new set of users like basically on chain users and we really think of as crypto like as a new distribution platform.

Speaker 0

我们能不能在这个领域抢占先机?因为ARK Invest整体上在早期进入方面做得很好。

Can we be early to this game because we're ARK Invest generally, we're very good when we're early at things like that.

Speaker 0

然后我们能不能扩大潜在市场规模?

And then can we increase the TAM?

Speaker 0

比如,我们能不能扩展到其他地区?

Like, can we expand to other geographies?

Speaker 0

我们能不能用比传统方式更高效的方法,把基金分发到各个地区?

Can we distribute the fund to geographies, like, in a more efficient way than the traditional way?

Speaker 0

所以这些就是我们一直在关注的重点。

And so those are really the things that we were kind of looking at.

Speaker 0

但现在,还是处于非常早期的阶段。

But right now, again, very early.

Speaker 0

我觉得还有很多工作要做。

I think there's a lot of work to be done still.

Speaker 1

我们来聊聊吧。

Let's talk.

Speaker 1

时间差不多了,但我真的很想再问你两个问题。

We're kind of at time, but I really want to ask you two more questions.

Speaker 1

那我们就快速聊聊代理商务竞争的走向吧。

So let's just quickly talk about where the agentic commerce competition is going.

Speaker 1

你发过一条关于Cloudflare公告的推文,谈到了你认为这对L1会有什么影响。

You had a tweet about the announcement from Cloudflare and what you thought the impact would be on L1s.

Speaker 1

跟我们说说你的这个观点吧。

Tell us about that thesis.

Speaker 0

我觉得Cloudflare,显然,随着AI的发展,互联网流量方面变化很大。

So I think Cloudflare, obviously, with AI, things are changing a lot in terms of Internet traffic.

Speaker 0

我记得他们在最近一次财报电话会议上宣布,现在超过50%的互联网流量基本上是由AI驱动的机器人产生的。

I think they announced in their last earnings call that now more than 50% of the Internet traffic is basically bots through AI.

Speaker 0

这挺让人震惊的。

Which was pretty shocking.

Speaker 0

显然,他们需要想办法来限制这种情况。

And obviously, they need a way to, you know, to limit that.

Speaker 0

因为基本上,这就是Cloudflare目前在互联网上扮演的角色。

Because basically, that's kind of the role that Cloudflare has on the Internet right now.

Speaker 0

所以如果你看那些播客和采访,似乎Cloudflare正在考虑利用区块链技术,让AI代理或机器人基本上支付一笔微交易才能访问内容或网站。

And so if you look at kind of the podcast and interviews, it seems like, you know, using blockchain technology and basically the AI agent or bot, you know, having to pay basically a nano transaction to be able to access content or website is something that Cloudflare is kind of looking at.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得很有意思的是,像Treadfy这样的公司显然也在考虑这个,就是加密货币和L1的交汇点,以及它如何能为代理商务和整个代理互联网流量提供解决方案。

And so I think it's just very interesting that more of a Treadfy company obviously is thinking about this, like the intersection of crypto and L1 and how it can provide like a solution to basically agentic commerce and agentic, you know, just Internet traffic in general.

Speaker 0

我觉得在吞吐量方面,我们还差得很远。

I think we're still very far away in terms of throughput.

Speaker 0

比如你看马修斯,我记得他是Cloudflare的CEO。

Like if you look Matthews, I think it's the CEO of Cloudflare.

Speaker 0

我们说的是每秒一千万到一亿笔交易。

We're talking about like 10 to a 100,000,000 TPS.

Speaker 0

所以我们离那个目标还非常非常远。

And so we're very, very far from that.

Speaker 0

但是你看,我觉得有些团队正在努力解决这个问题。

But look, I think there are teams that are that are working on that.

Speaker 0

我们很期待,比如Layer Zero将在未来几个月内推出他们的L1。

We're very excited, you know, for example, like Layer Zero is gonna launch their their L1, like, in the next few months.

Speaker 0

我觉得在吞吐量方面,他们能做出非常令人印象深刻的东西。

I think in terms of throughput, they're gonna be able to deliver things that are really impressive.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得从应用场景来看,我们离每秒一千万到一亿笔交易还很远。

So I think in terms of the use cases, we're still pretty far from the 10 to a 100,000,000 TPS.

Speaker 0

我知道很多人都在讨论加密领域的代理商务和代理工作流。

I know a lot of people are talking about agentic commerce and agentic workflows in general on crypto.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得这很令人兴奋,但现在还处于非常早期的阶段。

So I think it's exciting, but it's still very early.

Speaker 0

而且我认为,通过Coinbase和Circle的MPP和x四零二协议,我们目前看到的用户量还非常少。

And I think the usage that we're seeing through MPP and the x four zero two protocol of Coinbase and Circle, it's very, very nascent right now.

Speaker 0

所以我们正在关注这个领域,但我认为现在还为时过早。

So we're looking at it, but I think it's very early.

Speaker 1

那你觉得这会如何影响第一层区块链呢?

And so how do you think this will impact l ones?

Speaker 0

我认为我们仍然需要将吞吐量提高几个数量级,扩大这些第一层区块链的规模。

I think we need to increase throughput, scale these l one, like, orders of magnitude still.

Speaker 0

我觉得目前Solana、Souei、Aptos上的活动并不多。

I think right now the Solana, Souei, Aptos, we don't have much activity going right now.

Speaker 0

我认为这些用例的规模还很小。

Like I think it's still pretty small the use cases.

Speaker 0

所以现在大家对吞吐量还是满意的。

And so people are okay with the throughput right now.

Speaker 0

我觉得吞吐量会是这些用例的主要瓶颈,而且我们离目标还差好几个数量级。

I think throughput is going to be the major vector for some of these use cases and we're still orders of magnitude.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得还需要团队继续在这方面努力。

And so I think we still need teams working on that.

Speaker 0

再说一次,确实有团队在做,但我觉得我们可能还差两到三个数量级。

And again, I think they are teams, but I think we're probably two or three orders of magnitude away.

Speaker 0

所以基本上,我们还是得非常积极地扩展这些L1。

And so we still need to scale these L1s very, very aggressively, basically.

Speaker 1

好的,最后一个问题。

Okay, so last question.

Speaker 1

我们在对话中几次提到了稳定币,显然现在有很多新玩家进入这个竞争领域。

Stablecoins have come up a few times in the conversation, and obviously there's a lot of new entrants to the competition.

Speaker 1

但我知道你比较看好Circle和Tether这些现有的老牌公司。

But I know that you are bullish on Circle and Tether, who are the incumbents.

Speaker 1

为什么你觉得这场竞争在某种程度上已经分出胜负了?

Why is it that you think that this competition in a way has kind of already been called?

Speaker 0

我觉得人们低估了Tether和Circle在网络效应和流动性方面的优势。

I think people are underestimating basically the network effects around, you know, like network effects and liquidity mode of Tether and Circle essentially.

Speaker 0

大家普遍认为稳定币市场有很多玩家,但实际上并不是这样。

I think broadly like people think of the stablecoin market of this market with like thousands of players And really, like, it's not the reality.

Speaker 0

现实是,看看目前链上使用的稳定币,基本上就是USDT和USDC这两种。

The reality is, like, if you see what has been used so far and what is being used on chain, they're basically, like, two stablecoins, is USDT and USDT.

Speaker 0

说实话,其他的真的不重要。

Like, the rest really don't really matter, honestly.

Speaker 0

你也看到了,有稳定币联盟的成立,还有其他玩家想争夺市场份额。

And you've seen, obviously, announcement of stablecoin consortiums and other players trying to tackle that market share.

Speaker 0

我觉得这本质上是一个非常复杂的业务。

I think it's just, like, overall, a business that is super complex to build.

Speaker 0

人们把Circle和Tether看作是以太坊和其他区块链上的ERC20稳定币。

Like, people see Circle and Tether as this kind of ERC 20 stablecoin on Ethereum and other blockchains.

Speaker 0

但实际上,这需要你在不同国家拿到几十个牌照。

But really, like, it's it's a business where you need, like, you know, tens of licenses in different countries.

Speaker 0

你必须受到监管。

You need to be regulated.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得企业切换的风险其实非常大。

I think the risk for businesses to switch is actually huge, honestly.

Speaker 0

我就在想这个问题。

Like I was thinking about this.

Speaker 0

比如3%的收益率,或者你能给机构用户让利多少。

It's like, you know, 3% yield or whatever you can pass on to the users for institutions.

Speaker 0

但风险是巨大的。

Like the risk is enormous.

Speaker 0

就像我们刚才聊到的,即使有AI、量子技术,这些资产的安全性和可靠性对交易所来说也是至关重要的。

Like we've talked about it now, even with AI, with quantum, like just security and reliability around these assets is just huge for exchanges.

Speaker 0

我在一篇文章里写过,比如币安。

One of the things that I kind of wrote in one of the essays was Binance.

Speaker 0

币安有价值500亿美元的稳定币,实际上我觉得它有大约450亿美元的USDT。

Binance has 50,000,000,000 worth of stablecoin, like literally has, I think, 45 billions worth of USDT.

Speaker 0

这些钱他们一点利息都拿不到。

They're not getting any yield on that.

Speaker 0

十多年来他们一直没拿到任何利息。

They haven't been getting any yield for over ten years.

Speaker 0

嗯,我在写这个的时候就在问自己,为什么他们不换成其他稳定币呢?

Well, I was asking myself this when I was writing this is why haven't they switched to another stablecoin?

Speaker 0

我敢肯定有100种稳定币愿意至少支付币安净利息差NIM的60%、70%、80%。

I'm sure there's a 100 stablecoins that are willing to pay Binance at least 60, 70, 80% of the NIM net interest margin.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得思路就是,为什么这还没发生?

And so I think the thought process was like, why hasn't this happened?

Speaker 0

我觉得人们就是低估了这些稳定币的粘性。

I think people are just underestimating the stickiness of these stablecoins.

Speaker 0

它们就像流动性超新星,为生态系统中的许多其他公司提供动力。

They're kind of liquidity supernovas where they power so many other companies in the ecosystem.

Speaker 0

有很多人依赖它们。

There's a lot of people that rely on them.

Speaker 0

而且它们就像是比特币、以太坊流动性的主要交易对。

And it's like the main trading pairs of Bitcoin, Ethereum liquidity.

Speaker 0

这些流动性都是建立在稳定币之上的。

They're built from stablecoins.

Speaker 0

我觉得对于像币安这样的公司来说,切换成本实在太大了。

I think the switching costs to companies such as Binance, they're just huge.

Speaker 0

风险也很大。

The risk is huge.

Speaker 0

他们不会为了60%甚至80%的净利息收益率就去换。

They're not going to switch for 60% of the name or like even 80% of the name.

Speaker 0

这就是我们的论点。

That's our thesis.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得Circle正在变成一个更广泛的互联网货币公司类型的业务。

And so I think Circle is becoming like a much broader internet money company type of business.

Speaker 0

我觉得五年后,人们会为了其他东西而使用Circle,不只是USDT或者他们现在的一些产品。

Like I think in five years people were no Circle for other things that are not like USDT or some of the products that they have right now.

Speaker 0

所以总的来说,我觉得人们严重低估了推出一个大规模稳定币网络的难度,要扩展到数千亿美元的规模。

And so generally I would say people are heavily underestimating how hard it is to launch a stablecoin network that is big, right, that scales into the hundreds of billions.

Speaker 0

这就是那条推文和一些评论背后的核心观点。

And so that was kind of the thesis around the tweet and some of the comments.

Speaker 1

好的。

Okay.

Speaker 1

我觉得币安确实有自己的稳定币,但纽约的监管机构盯上了他们。

I mean, I think Binance did have its stablecoin, but some New York regulator went after them.

Speaker 1

不知道为什么,是Paxos。

For some reason, it was the Paxos.

Speaker 0

是Paxos的合作关系。

It was the Paxos partnership.

Speaker 0

没错。

Exactly.

Speaker 0

所以他们盯上了那个稳定币。

And so they went after the stablecoin.

Speaker 0

他们基本上已经把它……

They basically had it to...

Speaker 0

我觉得他们不得不把它关掉。

They had to shut it down, I think.

Speaker 1

我不记得它规模有多大。

And I don't remember how big it got.

Speaker 0

但我觉得它挺大的,大概有15……

But I think it was in the pretty big, like, 15...

Speaker 0

我估计,可能有1.52万亿美元吧。

I would say, like, probably $1,520,000,000,000.

Speaker 0

就是,挺大的。

Like, it was pretty big.

Speaker 0

但我觉得世界上不会有其他公司想用币安的稳定币,你懂我的意思吧。

But I don't imagine, like, any other company in the world wanting to use like a Binance stablecoin, if you know what I mean.

Speaker 0

而且不是因为激励机制的问题,其实他们的利益并不太一致。

And not because it's just like in terms of incentives, like they're not very aligned.

Speaker 0

我觉得这就是我们面对其他一些稳定币的问题,它们不够中立,或者像联盟一样,有一千家公司参与,那策略到底是什么呢?

And I think that's sort of the problem that we have with some of these other stablecoins that are not very neutral or they're like consortiums where you have like a thousand companies and then like, you know, what's the strategy?

Speaker 0

谁在围绕激励机制和经济利益达成一致呢?

Who's aligned around kind of the incentives and the economics?

Speaker 0

所以这也是我想表达的观点。

So that was kind of my point as well.

Speaker 1

有一段时间,我觉得Coinbase收购Circle是个好主意。

There was a period where I think I thought that it would have been a good idea for Coinbase to buy Circle.

Speaker 1

但说实话,你刚才提到的中立性,恰恰说明了USDT由Circle持有其实是件好事。

But actually, just the point you made about neutrality, I think, is actually a reason why it is good that a USDT is owned by Circle instead.

Speaker 1

总之,Lorenzo,和你聊天真的很愉快。

Anyway, Lorenzo, this has been so great chatting with you.
