Speaker 0

刚接触钓鱼的时候,我总觉得要像小时候见过的那些高手一样稳定钓到鱼,根本是不可能的事。

As a new angler, I remember feeling like it'd be impossible to start catching fish consistently, to be like all the great anglers I knew growing up.

Speaker 0

一方面确实是技术上的差距,但我也经常在飞钓店、杂志和网上听到一种说法:如果你想真正爱上这项运动、钓到鱼,就必须掌握所有东西。

Part of that was the skill gap, but I also heard a lot of talk in fly shops and magazines and online that if I wanted to really love the sport and catch fish, I had to master everything.

Speaker 0

不止一次,我听到有人把鳟鱼说成是初学者的玩具,等你真正长大了,就得去钓鲈鱼或者骨鱼这类‘大人’的鱼。

More than once, I heard folks refer to trout as something you outgrow as you move into catching grown up fish like bass or bonefish.

Speaker 0

当然,现在我知道,这根本不对。

Now, of course, that's not true.

Speaker 0

但现在的飞钓媒体就是这样,很容易让人觉得自己落后了。

But with the way fly fishing media is these days, it's easy to feel like you're falling behind.

Speaker 0

如果你不紧跟最新最火的潮流和技巧,你就算不上在进步。

You're not progressing as an angler if you're not actively pursuing the latest and greatest craze or technique.

Speaker 0

所以今天在《Untangled》里,我想说说为什么我觉得这种心态不仅错了,而且正在伤害刚入门的钓鱼人。

So today on Untangled, I'll explain why I think that this mindset's not only wrong, but is actively harming folks who are just starting out in fly fishing.

Speaker 0

我也会分享一些真正能帮你提升钓鱼水平的建议。

And I'll also share some tips that'll actually help you level up as an angler.

Speaker 0

欢迎收听《Untangled》,专为每一位钓鱼爱好者打造,由Ventures FlyCo倾情呈现。

This is untangled, fly fishing for everyone, presented by Ventures FlyCo.

Speaker 0

嘿,欢迎来到这里。

Hey, Welcome to it.

Speaker 0

这里是《Untangled》,我是你的主持人斯宾塞·杜兰。

This is untangled, and I am your host, Spencer Durant.

Speaker 0

今天这期节目的主题,最近一直在我脑子里转,因为今年夏天,过去几个月里,我有机会坐下来,和很多新手一起钓鱼、聊天,听他们分享经历。

The topic for today's show has been on my mind a lot lately because I've had the opportunity this summer, past couple of months, to sit down and fish with and talk to and just hear from a lot of beginners.

Speaker 0

在这些对话中,我注意到一个共同的困扰:大家都觉得飞钓要学的东西太多,简直让人喘不过气——我完全理解这种感受。

And there's been this common theme through a lot of those conversations, which is folks are feeling overwhelmed by how much there is to learn in fly fishing, and I get that.

Speaker 0

我们怎么了?

We're what?

Speaker 0

这是第188期吗?

This is episode 188?

Speaker 0

咱们都做到第188期了,可到底有没有摸到飞钓的边儿呢?

So we're a 188 episodes deep into Untangled, and have we scratched the surface?

Speaker 0

也许吧。

Maybe.

Speaker 0

我们才刚刚触及到飞钓世界里需要学习的那些内容的皮毛。

We've scratched the surface of what all there is to learn about fly fishing.

Speaker 0

我明白这种感觉,说实话,我自己有时候也觉得特别头大。

So I understand that part, and, you know, I still feel overwhelmed that way sometimes.

Speaker 0

就在昨晚,我还读了一些关于三翅蜉蝣的信息,那种特别小的蜉蝣,又学到了不少我以前不知道的东西。

Even last night, I was reading about more stuff about tricho hatches, which are a tiny type of mayfly, and just learning more stuff that I didn't know about trichos.

Speaker 0

所以这种事情总会发生,然后我就想:天哪,真够呛。

So, you know, that happens and I think, oh, shoot, man.

Speaker 0

我真的得多去钓几次这些蜉蝣出没的时段。

I I really gotta I gotta fish these hatches more.

Speaker 0

所以我懂。

So I get it.

Speaker 0

我明白那种感觉——要学的东西太多了,这辈子恐怕都摸不透。

I understand the feeling of there is so much to learn, and I'm never gonna get a handle on all of it.

Speaker 0

但另一个常见的问题让我挺担心的,就是有些人一感到压力大、觉得自己懂的太少,就觉得自己在飞钓上落后了,进步不够快。

But the other common theme, you know, what was kinda concerning to me is that folks take that that overwhelm and, like, that that knowledge gap, and they translate that into feeling like they're behind or not progressing like they should be in fly fishing.

Speaker 0

我特别想跟那些有这种感受的人说说,你们真的不该这么想。

And I really want to address those feelings in particular and talk to the folks who are are feeling that way because you shouldn't.

Speaker 0

你真的不该有这种想法。

You shouldn't feel that way.

Speaker 0

要想提升钓鱼技术,最重要的不是别的,就是多下水,多实践。

Leveling up and improving your skills as an angler has a lot more to do with just spending time on the water than anything else.

Speaker 0

我确实有一些具体的建议,能帮你们提高技术。

And I I do have concrete tips to help you improve your skills.

Speaker 0

这些方法待会儿我会讲到。

We'll get to those in a minute.

Speaker 0

但我更想好好聊聊,为什么我会觉得‘我进步太慢’这种想法有问题。

But I really I wanna dive into why I think this mindset of, well, I'm not progressing.

Speaker 0

我觉得自己做得还不够。

I'm not doing enough.

Speaker 0

我总觉得跟不上进度。

I'm I'm falling behind.

Speaker 0

为什么我觉得这种想法根本没必要?

Why I think that mindset is just not healthy?

Speaker 0

要解释清楚这个,我先稍微铺垫一下,好好说说这个想法。

And to to really explain that, let me let me set the stage a little bit and really just dig into this idea for a minute.

Speaker 0

高中刚毕业那会儿,我经常泡在本地一家飞蝇钓具店。

I spent right after high school, I spent a lot of time hanging out at a local ish fly shop to me.

Speaker 0

那家店很不错。

And that shop, they're great.

Speaker 0

他们主要做鳟鱼钓具。

They're mostly focused on trout.

Speaker 0

但店里所有员工都特别喜欢海钓飞蝇。

But all the guys who worked there, they loved saltwater fly fishing.

Speaker 0

那才是他们的真爱。

That was their jam.

Speaker 0

那是他们生活的全部。

It's what they lived for.

Speaker 0

他们给我讲各种故事。

And they tell me stories.

Speaker 0

他们从旅行回来,跟我聊那些钓到的骨鱼或permit。

They get back from trips, and I hear about all the bonefish or the permit they caught.

Speaker 0

我觉得,几乎每个人,无论程度轻重,都跟我提过:玩海钓会把你毁了,老兄。

And I think almost all of them, just one degree or another, had some variation of telling me, like, fishing saltwater is gonna ruin you, man.

Speaker 0

一旦体验过海钓,鳟鱼就变得无聊透顶。

Trout are trout are boring once you've done saltwater fly fishing.

Speaker 0

你得这么干,那么干。

You do this and that.

Speaker 0

只有玩海钓,才算真正在钓鱼。

You're really fishing when you're doing saltwater fly fishing.

Speaker 0

但我想,他们说这话也没别的意思。

And I don't think they really meant anything by it.

Speaker 0

我敢说,他们就是这么想的——这玩意儿新鲜又刺激,海钓特别有意思,还上瘾。

I'm sure that's how they felt, which was, man, this is it's new and it's exciting, and saltwater is fun and it's addictive.

Speaker 0

就连我,今年六月初去钓骨鱼时一条都没钓到,可还是急着想再回去,因为海钓就是有种让人上瘾的魔力。

Even I mean, I got skunked on my tarpon trip at the beginning of June, and I'm itching to go back as soon as I can because there is something about saltwater that's very addictive.

Speaker 0

但我从来不会说这让我对鳟鱼钓鱼的热爱减少了,毕竟我这一生也就去过两三次海钓。

But I wouldn't ever say that it lessened my love for trout, granted I've, you know, done two, three saltwater trips in my life.

Speaker 0

不过说回来,那时候我听这些店里的老手们这么说,海钓飞蝇 Fishing 正在飞蝇圈里火得不得了。

But anyways, point is, at this time that that I was hearing this from these shop guys, saltwater fly fishing was really blowing up as the thing to do in fly fishing.

Speaker 0

那时候所有杂志、社交媒体上的内容,还有飞蝇电影巡展里的片子,全都在讲那些遥远异国的 exotic 鱼种,什么热带浅滩啊,反正我们大多数人这辈子都去不了。

So everything in all the magazines, a lot of the social media content, like every film in the fly fishing film tour movies, all that stuff was about some exotic fish on some exotic saltwater flat halfway around the world that, like, none of us are ever gonna go to.

Speaker 0

谁有那闲钱干这个?

Who's got the money to do that?

Speaker 0

当然了,如果你有,那真不错,但对大多数人来说,这根本遥不可及。

I mean, you know, if you do, awesome, but it's out of reach for most of us.

Speaker 0

这让我觉得自己就像个在落基山脉里瞎玩的普通人,就守着点鳟鱼过日子。

And it really made me feel like I was just, oh, I'm just this little guy just screwing around at the Rockies with trout.

Speaker 0

哎,你看看我。

Oh, look at me.

Speaker 0

我真是太可爱了。

I'm so adorable.

Speaker 0

那时候我还是个孩子,心里就是这么想的,因为最厉害的钓手都在玩海钓。

Like, I was a little kid It is how it made me feel because the best anglers were the ones doing the saltwater stuff.

Speaker 0

他们才不会浪费时间去钓那些小鳟鱼呢。

They weren't they weren't wasting their time with dinky little trout.

Speaker 0

没错。

No.

Speaker 0

根本不会。

They weren't.

Speaker 0

再加上渔具店那边的影响。

And then on top of that, got this influence from the fly shop.

Speaker 0

那时候我还结识了一群钓友,他们把在湖里玩大饵钓鳟鱼吹得神乎其神,说是鳟鱼钓鱼的终极境界。

And then I also, at this point in time, I'm I ended up meeting and fishing with a group of dudes who they talked up fishing streamers on lakes as, like, the holy grail of the trout experience.

Speaker 0

在他们眼里,用大流蝇在湖里钓大鳟鱼,再没有比这更爽的事了,他们简直着迷。

There was nothing better to them than ripping big streamers for relatively big trout out of a lake, and they loved it.

Speaker 0

同时,我还跟另一个朋友经常钓鱼,他死活认为,用小干蝇钓上浮的鳟鱼,才是飞钓的最高境界,没人能超越。

And then I was also spending time with another buddy who just swore that fishing small dry flies to rising trout, that was the pinnacle of the fly fishing experience and nothing could ever top that.

Speaker 0

就在这个时候,欧洲 nymphing 和紧线 nymphing 的风潮也突然火了起来。

And then on top all of this, the euro nymphing, tightline nymphing craze really kicked off right about the same time too.

Speaker 0

所以我看到、听到很多人都在说,要是想多钓鱼,这才是最管用的办法。

So I'm also seeing folks and hearing folks talk about, well, if you wanna catch a lot of fish, this is the best way to do it.

Speaker 0

你瞧,这方法多有效。

Look how effective it is.

Speaker 0

我们钓到的鳟鱼多得不得了,简直太棒了。

We're catching so many trout, and and this is awesome.

Speaker 0

要是你也想像他们一样厉害,那就得把这套本事学会。

And if you wanna be great like this, you've gotta figure this out too.

Speaker 0

巧的是,我们正好有根欧洲钓竿,可以卖给你。

And, you know, we just so happen to have a euro rod to sell you.

Speaker 0

所以我被各种关于‘好钓鱼’的标准淹没了,各种各样的技巧层出不穷。

And so I'm I'm inundated with all these goalposts of what good fishing is, all these different techniques.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得这种信息洪流从来就没停过,尤其是在社交媒体上。

And honestly, I don't know if that deluge has ever stopped, especially in social media.

Speaker 0

我觉得现在的初学者看到的都是类似的说法。

I think beginners these days see a lot of that same talk.

Speaker 0

他们看到很多人把某种方式捧成‘你非得这么干不可’。

They see a lot of folks holding up one thing as, this is what you gotta do.

Speaker 0

你非得有这种体验才行。

This is the experience you gotta have.

Speaker 0

然后就让人心里一紧:糟了。

And then it creates that, oh, no.

Speaker 0

我好像落后了。

I'm falling behind.

Speaker 0

我住在阿巴拉契亚山区,平时钓的大多是十英寸左右的溪鳟。

I'm, you know, I I live in the Appalachians, and I fish for 10 inch brook trout most of the time.

Speaker 0

我不是个厉害的钓鱼手。

I'm not a great angler.

Speaker 0

我住在中西部,就靠农场里一个池塘钓钓蓝鳃鱼和大口黑鲈,就这么简单。

Or I live somewhere in the Midwest, and I just have panfish and largemouth in a pond on this farm, and that's all I do.

Speaker 0

我确实算不上什么厉害的钓鱼手。

I'm not that great of an angler.

Speaker 0

这些其实都不对,但就是很容易有这种感觉。

None of that's true at all, but it's easy to feel that way.

Speaker 0

很容易就掉进这个陷阱里。

It it it's very easy to fall into that trap.

Speaker 0

我完全理解新手们会被这些搞得心慌,也难怪他们会怀疑自己能不能成为高手。

And I I don't blame any new anglers who feel intimidated by all of this and who rightfully wonder if they're ever gonna be a great angler.

Speaker 0

就咱们这次讨论来说,所谓高手就是能稳定钓到鱼,而且大多数时候离开河边时不会觉得沮丧的人。

Somebody and for purposes of this discussion, we'll just say that a great angler is someone who catches fish consistently and enjoys leaves the river not feeling frustrated most of the time.

Speaker 0

所以我有时候离开河边,心里也挺郁闷的。

So because I leave the river feeling frustrated sometimes.

Speaker 0

而且,就像我说的,那种觉得你非得去尝试所有这些方法的心态,我觉得没什么帮助。

And, you know, like I said, this this mindset of, oh, you've gotta go and do and try all of these things, I don't think it's helpful.

Speaker 0

我觉得这种想法是错的。

I think it's wrong.

Speaker 0

我个人是这么认为的。

In my opinion, I do.

Speaker 0

之所以这么说,是因为它对刚入门的人其实造成了伤害。

And there's a couple of reasons for that that I think it's harming beginners to the sport.

Speaker 0

首先,不管是不是有意的,很多人做这些事,又在视频或杂志里展示出来,大家就默认他们已经是高手了。

And first and foremost is whether it's intended or not, there is a lot of assumption that some people doing these things, because they're doing it, they're showing it in film or in a magazine or whatever, that they're masters of it.

Speaker 0

他们把这套东西玩得炉火纯青。

They've got it down to a science.

Speaker 0

但我从来不觉得有人真能彻底掌握生活中的任何事,除了婴儿——他们唯一能掌握的,就是摸准你快睡着时,你正好在哄他们。

And I don't believe that anybody truly masters anything in life except for babies and their ability to just master the timing of you're about to drift off to sleep, You've rocked them.

Speaker 0

他们走一走,就能让你放松下来。

They've gone for a walk.

Speaker 0

他们喝过奶瓶了。

They've had a bottle.

Speaker 0

他们吃过小点心了。

They've had treats.

Speaker 0

他们窝在床上亲昵地依偎着。

They've snuggled in bed.

Speaker 0

你只剩下最后一丝理智了。

You are clinging to one shred of sanity.

Speaker 0

你快睡着了,他们也睡了,可你从监控里听见一声响,哦,他们确实把这事儿拿捏得死死的。

You're about to fall asleep, and they're asleep, and then you hear on the monitor the and, yeah, they've got that down.

Speaker 0

只有婴儿才真正掌握了这一招。

Babies have that master.

Speaker 0

这是我唯一愿意承认的本事。

That's the only thing I'm gonna give.

Speaker 0

不过说正经的,我觉得没人能真正精通任何事。

But, you know, kidding aside, I don't think anybody masters anything.

Speaker 0

是的。

Yes.

Speaker 0

有些钓鱼高手确实非常厉害,但即便如此,他们也不是完美的。

There are anglers who are amazing at this, who are really, really good, but they're not perfect.

Speaker 0

他们无法完全掌控一天中在水面上发生的所有事情。

They don't have complete control over everything that happens during a day on the water.

Speaker 0

他们控制不了天气。

They don't have control over the weather.

Speaker 0

如果是海钓,他们也控制不了气压变化,这些变化会让鱼变得不安;他们控制不了鱼群何时孵化,控制不了湖水何时翻层,也控制不了当天河水是否暴涨。

They don't have control over if you're saltwater fishing, you know, the barometric pressure and the pressure changes that can throw fish off, they don't have control over whether the hatch is early or late or when the lake turns over or if the river's running high that day.

Speaker 0

这些他们全都没法控制。

They don't have control over any of that.

Speaker 0

不过,他们能根据情况灵活应对,凭借丰富的经验,通常能找到解决问题的办法,但他们并没有真正掌握这一切。

Now they can adapt to it, and they have so much experience they can draw on that and usually figure out a solution to the problem that they're facing, but they haven't mastered it.

Speaker 0

我认为没人能真正掌握任何事。

I don't think anyone masters anything.

Speaker 0

不只是钓鱼,任何事情都是这样。

Not just fishing, just anything in general.

Speaker 0

所以一开始,你就会觉得现在做的还不够,觉得自己迟早会超越手里的鳟鱼或鲈鱼,最终变成一个钓钢头鱼的流浪汉,或者一个痴迷马斯基鱼的人。

And so right out of the gate, that feeling that what you're doing now isn't enough or that you're going to outgrow your trout or your bass or whatever it is, and eventually, you're gonna grow into this steelhead bum or this musky maniac.

Speaker 0

我觉得这种心态并不健康,因为你忽略了当下所拥有的,没有好好享受此刻能钓鱼的条件——这一点我以前也特别困扰,尤其是在我们刚才说的这个阶段。

I I just don't think that's a healthy attitude to have because there's a lot of that lack of appreciating where you're at right now and just enjoying what you have to fish with in the moment, which is something I struggled with a ton too, especially, you know, this time period that we're talking about here.

Speaker 0

这和我的第二点也非常契合。

And this this goes really well with my second point.

Speaker 0

那我们干脆也一起来聊聊这一点。

So let's just dive into that here as well.

Speaker 0

归根结底,钓鱼对不同的人意味着不同的东西。

Because fishing, at the end of the day, it it means a lot of different things to a lot of different people.

Speaker 0

我当然可以坐在这儿告诉你它对我意味着什么,但这些对你来说其实没那么重要,因为钓鱼的意义在于它对你意味着什么。

And I can sit here and tell you what it means to me, but that that doesn't mean a whole lot for you because fishing is about what it is for you.

Speaker 0

它带给你的是什么体验,你在水边感受到的是什么。

It's what it does for you and the experience that you're having out there on the water.

Speaker 0

每个人从中得到的东西都不一样。

And we all take something different from that.

Speaker 0

我喜欢安静。

I I love the quiet.

Speaker 0

我喜欢独处。

I love the solitude.

Speaker 0

我喜欢放松的感觉。

I I love the relaxation.

Speaker 0

鱼确实成了其中一部分。

The fish have become yes.

Speaker 0

我想抓到鱼,也想享受过程,但我不觉得它们变得次要了,这么说不太准确;就算没抓到,我也不会沮丧。

I wanna catch fish and I wanna enjoy it, but I don't wanna say they've become secondary because that's not the right way to phrase it, but I don't get bummed out if I don't catch fish.

Speaker 0

我会感到烦躁。

I'll get frustrated.

Speaker 0

几周前我们刚去了一趟,我怎么也想不明白鱼为啥不吃饵。

We were just out a couple weeks ago, and I couldn't figure out why the fish weren't eating.

Speaker 0

我当时挺沮丧的,觉得自己本该能想明白,但并没有因此觉得自己失败或失望。

And I was frustrated because I felt like I should have been able to figure it out, but I wasn't bummed or disappointed in myself.

Speaker 0

我只是觉得有点烦。

I was just frustrated.

Speaker 0

希望你能明白这其中的区别。

Hopefully, you can understand the difference there.

Speaker 0

希望我解释得还算清楚。

Hopefully, I'm explaining it well enough.

Speaker 0

但对我而言,这正是我在水上度过一天最想要的东西。

But, you know, for me, that that's what I want out of a day on the water.

Speaker 0

然后,我在VFC的伙伴亚历克斯,每次视频里都跟我一起出现。

And then Alex, my buddy here at VFC, is in all the videos with me.

Speaker 0

亚历克斯特别享受这种破解难题、比上一次钓鱼时表现得更好的挑战。

Alex really loves that challenge of trying to figure out the puzzle and be better than he was the last time he was on the water.

Speaker 0

这正是他从中获得的主要乐趣。

That that's a lot of what he takes from it.

Speaker 0

所以我们一开始都想钓到鱼,但从中获得的东西却截然不同。

So we come into it wanting to do the same thing, catch fish, but we're taking out of it two very different things.

Speaker 0

我再说一遍,这没什么不对的。

And I again, I don't think that's wrong.

Speaker 0

这本来就是这么回事。

It's just what it is.

Speaker 0

所以你没必要总想着:我是不是做得不够多,配不上一个优秀钓手的名号。

So your focus should be less on, oh, I'm not I'm not doing enough to be a great angler.

Speaker 0

我落后了。

I'm falling behind.

Speaker 0

不是这样的。

No.

Speaker 0

你该想的是,你从中学到了什么?享受到了什么?

What are you getting out of it and how you're enjoying it?

Speaker 0

这才是你真正该关注的。

That that's what your focus should be on.

Speaker 0

因为现在网上到处都在推各种 exotic 鱼种、稀奇古怪的钓点、新奇的技巧,这些内容之所以被大力推广,就是因为能吸引点击和观看。

Because all this content that's that's pushed about all these exotic species and different locations, all these new techniques, that gets pushed so hard because it gets clicks and it gets views.

Speaker 0

并不是说这些就一定是适合大众的最佳钓鱼方式,或者每个人都该这么干。

Not necessarily because it's the best way to fish for the masses or it's what everybody should do.

Speaker 0

再说一遍,我们不该说每个人都必须怎么做,因为飞钓本来就没有固定规则;但人们确实容易对没怎么见过的新鲜玩意儿产生兴趣,这种心理正好推动了飞钓媒体的内容生产。

Again, we we shouldn't say that everybody should do things because there's no rules in fly fishing, but there's also that certain level of interest and intrigue to things that we haven't seen before or seen much of, so a lot of that fuels the content machine that we see in fly fishing media.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得,这就是为什么你总觉得媒体上所有人都在搞那些高大上的东西,而咱们呢,只能在家门口随便钓钓,毕竟能去的地方就这么些。

So I think that's a lot of the reason why it feels like that's what everybody in the media is doing, and then, you know, we're all just here fishing for whatever we've got close to home because that's what we've got.

Speaker 0

如果非得让我给这现象提个建议,那我的答案就是:别想别的,就专注那些让你在水边真正感到快乐和满足的事。

And really, what I what I would say, my my solution to all of this, if I had to come up with one, is, again, just focus on what is giving you the most enjoyment and pleasure out on the water.

Speaker 0

盯着这些让你开心的事去做就行了。

Focus on those things and just do that.

Speaker 0

我可不是说别去尝试别的方法。

By no means am I saying don't try other things.

Speaker 0

我本人就特别喜欢尝试新的钓鱼方式。

I love trying new ways to fish.

Speaker 0

我喜欢尝试新鲜的体验。

I love having new experiences.

Speaker 0

当年Euronimphing火的时候,我也试过。

I've done you know, I tried Euronimphing when it was a big deal.

Speaker 0

那会儿它特别火,我也去试了。

I tried when it was a big deal.

Speaker 0

我最近在这档节目里好像提到过这事。

I think I talked about that recently here on the show.

Speaker 0

这两种方式都没能真正打动我。

Neither of them just really do it for me.

Speaker 0

这并不是我最喜欢的钓鱼方式。

This is not my favorite way to fish.

Speaker 0

我喜欢抛投飞蝇线的感觉。

I like casting fly line.

Speaker 0

我喜欢那种亲手把蝇饵抛出去的体验。

I like having that experience of of making the fly cast.

Speaker 0

你知道吗,我最近去钓过海水鱼。

You know, I did saltwater recently.

Speaker 0

我去过阿拉斯加钓过鲑鱼。

I've done salmon fishing up in Alaska.

Speaker 0

我真想找个机会去丛林里钓一下巨骨舌鱼、大口脂鲤和孔雀鲈。

I'd really, really like to go do some stuff in the jungle for Arapaima and Dorado and Peacock bass.

Speaker 0

那看着可太有意思了。

That looks like a lot of fun.

Speaker 0

太平洋沿岸的钢头鱼,说实话,我也没觉得特别吸引我。

Steelhead fishing, I Pacific Coast steelhead, I I don't know how much that really intrigues me.

Speaker 0

不过要是有机会,我也愿意去试试。

I'd I'd go give it a shot.

Speaker 0

但我也不确定自己会不会想一直这么干。

I just don't know if it's something I'm gonna want to continue doing.

Speaker 0

你倒是该去试试那些别的项目。

But go try those other things.

Speaker 0

当然了,有机会就一定要去试试。

Definitely, when you have the opportunity, go do it.

Speaker 0

因为你没试过,就不知道自己会喜欢上什么。

Because you don't know what you're gonna love until you try it.

Speaker 0

你也不知道那是不是真能打动你。

You don't know if that's gonna do it for you.

Speaker 0

不过在这之前,你总知道在水边做什么最让你开心吧。

But in the interim, right, you you know what you enjoy doing on the water.

Speaker 0

我特别喜欢用干蝇钓鳟鱼。

I love fishing dry flies for trout.

Speaker 0

只要能抛干蝇,我就一定选它。

If I can fish a dry fly, I'm going to.

Speaker 0

这真的让我特别满足。

That just does it for me.

Speaker 0

你在水边钓鱼的时候,也该专注在让你最享受的那件事上。

And it should be the same thing that you focus on when you're on the water.

Speaker 0

再强调一遍,别觉得自己落后了。

Again, don't feel like you're falling behind.

Speaker 0

别觉得你不够好,因为你已经很好了。

Don't feel like you're not enough because you you are.

Speaker 0

你已经在水边了,在享受过程,这才是最重要的。

You're out there and you're having fun and you're enjoying it, and that's the point.

Speaker 0

别被那种必须样样都得做到、样样都得精通的想法困住。

So don't get caught up in feeling like you've got to do all these other things and be great at them.

Speaker 0

就按你喜欢的方式钓鱼,多花时间在水边,自然而然,你的水平就会不断提升。

Fish the way you enjoy, And then spend that time on the water, and you're gonna level up as a result of just being on the water and just doing it more and more and more.

Speaker 0

说实话,我觉得学一学 nymph 和流蝇钓法确实不错,这样一年四季不管水情怎么变,你都有办法钓到鱼。

You know, I will say I do think it's a good idea to learn how to nymph and to fish streamers because then you've got a few different tools in your toolbox to catch fish all year long no matter what is going on, really.

Speaker 0

但与此同时,如果你不喜欢流蝇钓,也完全不用纠结。

But at the same time, if streamers don't do it for you, don't worry about it.

Speaker 0

你根本没必要非得去专门练流蝇钓的技术。

You you don't need to, you know, work on your streamer game.

Speaker 0

如果你不喜欢,那也没关系。

If you don't enjoy it, it's fine.

Speaker 0

我有个特别好的朋友,叫瑞安·麦卡洛。

I got a really good friend of mine, Ryan McCullough.

Speaker 0

我在播客里提到过他好多次。

I've talked about him on the podcast a ton.

Speaker 0

他就喜欢用浮蝇钓鱼。

And he just wants to fish with dry flies.

Speaker 0

他对 nymphing 和浮沉组合完全没兴趣。

He's not interested in nymphing, dry droppers.

Speaker 0

他试过。

He's done it.

Speaker 0

就是不喜欢而已。

Just doesn't like it.

Speaker 0

他就想用浮蝇钓鱼,这正是他的重点。

He wants to fish dry flies, and that's his focus.

Speaker 0

这太棒了。

And it's awesome.

Speaker 0

你知道吗,他清楚自己在水边真正喜欢什么、享受什么。

You know, he knows what he's gonna love and enjoy out on the water.

Speaker 0

我觉得这一点很重要。

And I I think that's important.

Speaker 0

有这份清晰的定位,然后就能坦然说:我就这么做。

Having that clarity and then just being able to say, hey, I'm gonna I'm just gonna do that.

Speaker 0

我觉得特别有帮助,因为这样你就不会总担心自己错过了什么,或者是不是落后了。

I I think it's very helpful because then you don't have that constant fear of what am I missing out on or am I falling behind?

Speaker 0

因为你根本没有落后。

Because you're not.

Speaker 0

明白了。

K.

Speaker 0

你现在所处的位置刚刚好,你在水边花的时间越多,就会越擅长。

Where you're at right now is is perfect, and the more time you spend on the water, the better you're gonna get at it.

Speaker 0

我想在这部分结束前,和大家分享一段我和已故的约翰·吉洛克的对话,他可是历史上最出色的钓鱼作家之一。

And, you know, I think I'm just gonna I'm gonna end this part with a conversation I had with the late John Gearock, who he was one of the best fishing riders who's ever lived.

Speaker 0

他是我个人最欣赏的作家。

He's my personal favorite.

Speaker 0

他的文笔真的太棒了。

Just an amazing writer.

Speaker 0

他特别擅长与读者建立共鸣,这一点很少有钓鱼作家能做到。

Really just knew how to connect with his readers in a way that few fishing writers do.

Speaker 0

我有幸和约翰一起钓鱼,聊了会儿天。

And I had I had the chance to fish with John and talk to him for a little bit.

Speaker 0

我记得有一天,我们在讨论即将去钓的那条溪流上的昆虫羽化情况。

And I remember one day, we're we're talking about the hatches on this creek that we were planning to hit.

Speaker 0

我提到了那里会出蜻蜓,约翰听了只是看着我,说:是的。

And I mentioned something about the crane flies that hatched there, and John just looked at me and said, yeah.

Speaker 0

我从来没用过蜻蜓假饵钓过鱼。

I've never fished with crane flies.

Speaker 0

我当时真的很惊讶,因为这位钓鱼高手可是走遍了全世界的人。

And I was really surprised because here's this fishing rider He's been all over the world.

Speaker 0

他钓过各种各样的鱼。

He's caught all sorts of different fish.

Speaker 0

他也经历过不少探险。

He's done his own share of exploring.

Speaker 0

他就住在我家后山那边,你知道的,在科罗拉多。

He lives just over the mountain from me, you know, in Colorado.

Speaker 0

那时候我住在犹他州,就在那座山的另一边。

I lived in Utah at the time and, you know, just over the mountain.

Speaker 0

他住在科罗拉多那么远的地方。

He lived all the way in Colorado.

Speaker 0

可他居然从来没用过那种我当时鱼包里常备的虫饵。

But he'd never fished this bug that was a staple at that time in my box.

Speaker 0

这让我一下子愣住了。

It really just made me pause for a minute.

Speaker 0

我就跟约翰说,你知道吗,蜻蛉的重要性其实远超大多数钓手的想象。

And and I I told John, I said, you know, crane flies are a lot more important than most anglers think.

Speaker 0

它们在水里出现的频率,比你想象的要高得多。

There's a lot more of them out spots than you would imagine.

Speaker 0

约翰只是耸了耸肩。

And John just kinda shrugged.

Speaker 0

他说,是啊。

And he said, yeah.

Speaker 0

也许我漏掉了什么,但我都七十多岁了,还在不断钓到鱼。

Maybe I'm missing something, but I'm in my seventies and I'm still catching fish.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得我没什么问题。

So I think I'm okay.

Speaker 0

那句话真的深深印在我心里。

And that really that really stuck with me.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

就是那种心态——虽然我对现状挺满意的,但出去走走也很好,这就足够了。

Just that that mindset of, yeah, I'm I'm happy with where things are, but it's good to go, and that's all I need.

Speaker 0

那番话后来一直在我心里挥之不去。

And that really stuck with me for a while.

Speaker 0

我和约翰那次对话,可以说是整个经历中最让我难忘的部分。

Was one of the the greatest the greatest parts of the experience I had with John was that conversation right there.

Speaker 0

说了这么多,希望我没有显得说教。就像我开头说的,我真的希望这些话能打动那些觉得自己落后的朋友,因为你其实并没有落后。

So with all this said, and I hope it didn't come off preachy, you know, like I said at the beginning, I really hope that it speaks to the people who are feeling like they are behind, because you're not.

Speaker 0

我向你保证,你真的没有落后。

I promise you're not.

Speaker 0

好了,接下来咱们聊聊我之前提到的那四个实用建议,怎么才能提升钓鱼的水平。

But let's talk about the four tips that I I I said I had some concrete tips for leveling up as an angler.

Speaker 0

咱们现在就来具体说说。

Let's dive into those now.

Speaker 0

第一个建议很简单:去钓鱼吧。

So the first tip is just go fishing.

Speaker 0

我之前提过好几次,但没有什么能代替在水边多待的时间。

I mentioned this a couple of times, but there is no substitute for time on the water.

Speaker 0

这才是你最好的老师,因为我们聊过的所有理论、所有技巧,还有你听过的所有播客,都远不如实际在水边的时间来得有收获,也完全无法复制你在水边遇到的那些丰富经历。

That's gonna be your greatest teacher because all the theory we discuss, all the tactics we discuss, all the podcast you listen to, none of that comes close to how educational time on the water is, and none of that comes close to being able to replicate the variety of experiences you will have on the water.

Speaker 0

所以,多花点时间去钓鱼吧。比起去学最新的技巧,或者盲目跟风买什么新装备,你更该把时间优先留给在水边的实践。

So go spend that time on the water More than learning the latest skill that you see or jumping on the Euronimthing bandwagon or anything else, just prioritize time on the water.

Speaker 0

就这么做。

Do that.

Speaker 0

你钓鱼的时间越长,其他所有东西都会自然而然地跟上来。

Everything else is gonna fall into place the more time you spend fishing.

Speaker 0

我还要说的第二个建议是,继续主动学习,因为这部分真的很重要。

And the second tip I would tell you as well is continue seeking out knowledge because that part is important.

Speaker 0

我开头提到过,去了解一些蜉蝣的知识,读读杂志里讲的内容——我以前根本不懂这些,后来一了解,就觉得:天啊,我得赶紧去试试,得把这知识用起来。

I mentioned at the beginning of the show, learn about trichos and the reading stuff in the magazine about, you know, I didn't know about trichos and feeling like, man, I I gotta go do that because I I gotta go put this knowledge to the test now.

Speaker 0

这太关键了。

That is huge.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

K?

Speaker 0

继续去获取这些知识。

Keep seeking out that knowledge.

Speaker 0

我认识一位钓鱼向导,他详细记录了钓鱼日志,甚至能精确到每年春天鱼什么时候从吃摇蚊幼虫转为吃蜉蝣若虫,或者夏天什么时候开始抬头吃石蛾蛹。

I know a fishing guide who he kept a detailed fish journal down to the point where he had it dialed to almost a day when fish would switch from eating midges to mayfly nymphs in the spring, or what time of day they'd start looking up for caddispupa in the summer.

Speaker 0

你不需要做到这么细致。

And you don't need to get that detailed.

Speaker 0

这种细致程度真的很了不起。

That's an that's an impressive level of detail.

Speaker 0

你不用做到这一步。

You don't need to go that far.

Speaker 0

但这种持续学习、不断积累知识的习惯,会对你大有帮助。

But that idea of consistently seeking out knowledge and learning is gonna serve you really well.

Speaker 0

学会识别规律。

Learn to recognize patterns.

Speaker 0

学会识别这些阶段,随着季节推进,昆虫羽化的每个过程都是怎样的。

Learn to recognize, you know, these are the stages of the hatch as we progress through them.

Speaker 0

总有更多东西值得学习,这一点怎么强调都不为过。

There's always more to learn, and and I can't stress that enough.

Speaker 0

如果你不知道从哪儿开始学,想打个扎实的基础,我们正好有一份免费的野外指南。

And if you're looking for a good place start your learning, you you want a a good base of knowledge to build off of, we've actually got a free field guide.

Speaker 0

这是一本防水的螺旋装订手册。

It's a waterproof spiral bound book.

Speaker 0

可以轻松放进你的背包里。

It fits in your pack.

Speaker 0

里面包含了羽化时间、推荐鱼饵和各种钓组的详细信息。

It's got a bunch of information about hatch timings, recommended flies, and all the rigs.

Speaker 0

很多东西你在河边很难全记下来,但这些基础知识点真的特别关键。

So a lot of that stuff that it's tough to remember it all when you're out on the water, but it's it's absolutely key to to being that foundational knowledge base.

Speaker 0

如果你想要一本这样的指南,完全免费。

So if you want one of these field guides, they're completely free.

Speaker 0

你只需要付运费就行。

You just have to pay for the shipping.

Speaker 0

我们会直接寄给你。

We send it out to you.

Speaker 0

我们真心希望你能拿到这份资料。

We want you to have this.

Speaker 0

在节目说明里有个链接可以领取,屏幕上也会显示一个链接,如果你是在看视频播客,还有二维码可以扫。

There's a link to grab those down in the show notes, or there'll be a link here on the screen as well, a QR code if you're watching the video podcast.

Speaker 0

不过再说一遍,这东西完全是免费的。

But again, they're completely free.

Speaker 0

我们真的希望你能领一份。

We want you to have one of those.

Speaker 0

只要付点运费就好。

Just pay the shipping.

Speaker 0

我们马上给你寄出去。

We'll get it right out to you.

Speaker 0

我给你的第三个建议是,一定要保持灵活应变。

And then the third tip I got for you is make sure that you stay adaptable.

Speaker 0

上周,我和亚历克斯去了一段从没去过的河段钓鱼。

Last week, Alex and I, we were out fishing this stretch of river we've never been to before.

Speaker 0

我们完全不知道会遇到什么情况。

We had no idea what to expect.

Speaker 0

我们唯一知道的是,前一天我们在这条河的支流钓过,那时候黄蜉蝣和石蛾都出现了。

The only thing we knew was the day before, we'd fished further up on a tributary of this river, and the Yellow Sallies and the Caddis were out.

Speaker 0

所以我们就只知道这些。

So that is all we knew.

Speaker 0

我们到了河边,把船放下去,发现船坞附近有几条鱼在吃食,但水面上没什么动静。

So we get to the river, we launch the boat, and there were a couple of fish rising right at the boat ramp, but there wasn't a whole lot on the water.

Speaker 0

水面上也没什么明显的特征。

And there wasn't a whole lot of very clear features.

Speaker 0

有那么一会儿,感觉简直像在一条水渠里钓鱼。

Almost felt like we were fishing in a canal for for a while.

Speaker 0

河岸特别浅,岸边也没什么遮挡。

And the banks were really shallow, and there wasn't a lot of overhang on the banks.

Speaker 0

根本找不到什么值得专门去钓的地方,让人觉得那儿肯定有鱼藏着。

There just wasn't a lot of places that made you think, oh, I'm gonna fish to there because a fish is holding there.

Speaker 0

所以我们花了很多时间到处找鱼,试着在深水区用 nymph 钓组,结果我钓到一条白鱼。

So we spent a lot of time just searching and looking for where fish would be, fishing, you know, nymph rigs on the deeper runs, and I stuck a white fish.

Speaker 0

亚历克斯也钓到一条白鱼,我想是这样。

Alex caught I think he caught another white fish as well.

Speaker 0

他死活不承认。

He won't admit to it.

Speaker 0

但他确实也钓到一条白鱼。

But he caught another white fish as well.

Speaker 0

大概在漂流了两三个小时后,我们拐过一个弯,发现河水开始变急,形成一片激流区,旁边有个小水窝。

And then probably two, three hours into the float, we come around this corner and there's this pocket as the river starts to speed up and turn into some riffles.

Speaker 0

水窝里紧贴着岸边,有一条鱼正在浮起来吃食。

And there's a fish rising in the pocket really tight to the bank.

Speaker 0

我朝那边抛了一竿。

And I threw a cast over there.

Speaker 0

鱼跃起来了,但我没钩住。

It rose, and I I missed the fish.

Speaker 0

我太急着提竿,结果把整个钓组都弄断了。

I actually broke my whole rig off because I set way too quickly.

Speaker 0

但这一下让我们开始琢磨,嗯,有点意思。

But that started getting us to think, alright.

Speaker 0

一整天我们都以为鱼不在岸边,觉得那儿水太浅,不可能有鱼待着。

Because we've been assuming all day that the fish weren't on the banks because we thought, oh, they're too shallow.

Speaker 0

可这条鱼偏偏就在岸边紧贴着水边。

They're not gonna be hanging over there, but that fish was tight to the bank.

Speaker 0

于是我们开始更频繁地往岸边钓,可每次用干蝇加垂钓的组合,总是挂住东西,我真不想把下面的子线剪掉,因为鱼情太不稳定了。

So we started trying to fish the banks more and more, but we kept getting hung up with everything with our dry dropper rig, and I did not want to cut the dropper off because the fishing was so inconsistent.

Speaker 0

我想让水里一直有两根饵。

I wanted to have two flies in the water.

Speaker 0

但后来,我们整整两三个小时,鱼连一口都不咬。

But eventually, we went like two or three hours with no fish biting anything.

Speaker 0

最后亚历克斯说:行了,把副钩剪了吧,就专心攻岸边。

And Alex finally says, okay, let's cut the dropper off and just pound the banks.

Speaker 0

要学会灵活应变。

Being adaptable.

Speaker 0

一改成这样,鱼就开始上钩,快得我们都应接不暇,原本死气沉沉的河瞬间活了。

And as soon as we started doing that, we started catching fish almost quicker than we could handle, and it just went from a dead river to on.

Speaker 0

原来那些鱼就在岸边的浅水区,专吃蚂蚁。

Turns out, those fish were in the shallow water in the banks, and they were crushing ants.

Speaker 0

我们一整天用的都是艾米蚂蚁饵。

We were fishing an Amy's ant the whole day.

Speaker 0

看着这个转变发生,真是让人惊叹。

It was amazing to to watch that switch flip.

Speaker 0

死磕一种钓法、不停搜索水域当然有道理,但能根据情况灵活调整,也同样重要。

And there's definitely something to be said for, you know, doggedly fishing a rig and and covering water with it, but there's also something to be said for being adaptable and changing to the conditions.

Speaker 0

如果你现在做的事没效果,就别怕换个方法。

If what you're doing is not working, be willing to change it.

Speaker 0

当时亚历克斯比我更愿意调整,我很庆幸有他推动,不然我可能根本不会换策略。

Alex was way more willing in the moment than I was, and I'm grateful for that because I don't know if I would have switched to it at some point without his urging.

Speaker 0

这招真的特别管用。

So that was really helpful.

Speaker 0

还有另一点,我觉得对你也会有帮助。

And that's the other thing I think is gonna help you as well.

Speaker 0

最后一点,我之前提过,别忘了多尝试新东西。

And then the last thing, I mentioned this earlier, but make sure you try new things.

Speaker 0

这也是帮你提升的关键。

This is the other thing that's gonna help you level up.

Speaker 0

我试过坦卡拉饵。

You know, I I I tried Tancara.

Speaker 0

还有我之前说的尤里尼姆饵,我也试了。

I tried Euronim thing, like I mentioned.

Speaker 0

就是没对它们产生特别的喜欢。

Just didn't get enamored with either of them.

Speaker 0

但我真的很庆幸试过,因为那些钓鱼方式里的技巧已经影响了我现在的钓法。

But I'm really glad that I tried them because techniques from those styles of fishing have influenced how I fish.

Speaker 0

不过呢,我还是更喜欢飞蝇钓。

Now, again, I like the fly cast.

Speaker 0

用那两种装备,根本没法玩飞蝇钓。

You don't get to cast fly line with either of those rigs.

Speaker 0

这完全没问题。

Completely fine.

Speaker 0

没什么不对的,只是对我来说不太对味。

Nothing wrong with that, but it just didn't do it for me.

Speaker 0

对吧?

Right?

Speaker 0

这四点,你要是能做到,保持平和的心态,接纳当下的状态,专心享受此刻的钓鱼,很多压力、那种觉得自己不够好、不够厉害的感觉,都会慢慢消散。

And those four things, I think, you do those things and you keep the right attitude of where you're at's fine and just excel in the moment that you're in, I think you'll a lot of that stress, a lot of that feeling like you're not good enough or you're not quite cutting it as an angle, I think a lot of that's gonna melt away.

Speaker 0

毕竟,归根结底,不是为了在Instagram上博人眼球。

Because at the end of the day, it's not about impressing people on Instagram.

Speaker 0

那些东西都不重要。

It's not about any of that stuff.

Speaker 0

重要的是在河边享受你真正想有的乐趣,体验你真正想有的感觉。

It's about having the fun that you wanna have on the river, having the experience you wanna have.

Speaker 0

那就选让你感到开心的钓鱼方式吧。

So fish the way that brings that to you.

Speaker 0

别轻易放弃尝试新东西的机会。

Don't write off having some new experiences.

Speaker 0

继续保持对新知识的渴望,也要保持灵活变通。

Continue to stay hungry for new knowledge, and then continue to stay adaptable.

Speaker 0

我觉得这样会让你受益良多。

I think that's gonna serve you really well.

Speaker 0

谢谢大家陪我聊到这一段。

So I appreciate y'all being here for that part of the show.

Speaker 0

我很乐意和大家聊聊这个话题。

I'd love to chat with y'all about it.

Speaker 0

接下来我们进入本周节目的问答环节,就像我们每期在《Untangled》做的那样,我们会用一半的时间直接回答听众和观众的问题,就像你这样的。

But we are going to move into the q and a portion of this week's episode because like we do every week here at Untangled, we spend half the show directly answering questions from the listeners and viewers just like yourself.

Speaker 0

如果你有关于飞钓的问题想问,可以在节目说明里找到提交问题的链接,或者如果你正在看视频播客,屏幕这里也有入口。

So if you've got a fly fishing question that you would like answered, there's a link to send those into me down in the show notes or right here on the screen if you are watching the video podcast.

Speaker 0

来自怀俄明州的贝利提出了第一个问题,他写道:嘿,斯宾塞。

Bailey from Wyoming has our first question, writes in and says, hey, Spencer.

Speaker 0

我的问题和用飞竿钓鲤鱼有关。

My question is related to carp fishing on a fly rod.

Speaker 0

我主要钓的是草鱼,听说它们特别挑食。

My target species has been the grass carp, and I've been told they're very picky.

Speaker 0

我看了不少文章,发现羊毛虫、克洛斯虫和游动的 nymphs 通常对草鱼最有效。

Through reading different articles, I have found that woolly buggers and clowsers, swimming nymphs, are usually what works best for carp.

Speaker 0

如果我专门针对草鱼钓鱼,这些饵也适用吗?

Would they be the same flies I should use if I'm specifically targeting grass carp?

Speaker 0

我这么问是因为我想在怀俄明州同一个水域打破草鱼的州纪录,那纪录就是在那里创下的。

The reason I'm asking is I'm trying to beat the state record for grass carp here in Wyoming out of the same body of water the record was set from.

Speaker 0

谢谢你分享这么多有用的知识。

Thank you for all the knowledge you've spread.

Speaker 0

要是你当年当过我的老师,我读书可能成绩会好很多。

I probably would have done better in school if you had been one of my teachers.

Speaker 0

祝你钓有所获。

Tight lines.

Speaker 0

再次感谢你。

And again, thank you.

Speaker 0

贝利,这个问题问得真好。

Bailey, that's a great question.

Speaker 0

谢谢你提出来。

Thanks for sending it in.

Speaker 0

要是我当你的老师,你也不会学得更好。

And you wouldn't have done better with me as your teacher.

Speaker 0

我当老师那会儿,脾气可差了。

I was I was such a grumpy guy when I was teaching.

Speaker 0

根本没时间去钓鱼。

I didn't have enough time to fish.

Speaker 0

我觉得自己当时根本当不好老师。

Oh, I I feel like I was terrible at the job.

Speaker 0

希望我没那么糟,但有时候真这么觉得。

Hope I wasn't, but that's that's how I feel sometimes.

Speaker 0

总的来说,鲤鱼对吃的东西没那么挑剔。

So broad strokes on your question, carp aren't terribly picky about what they will eat.

Speaker 0

在钓鲤鱼的人生气之前,让我先把话说完。

And before the carp anglers get up in arms, let me finish.

Speaker 0

其实它们是杂食性的,什么植物、种子、浆果都吃。

They're actually omnivores, so that means they're gonna eat everything for plants and seeds and berries.

Speaker 0

它们也会大量吞食栖息地里的水生植物,这也是鲤鱼被引入新环境后破坏性很强的原因——它们把植物吃光了,泥沙就没了固定,水也就从清澈变得浑浊,全是因为鲤鱼太爱吃这些植物了。

They do eat a lot of the aquatic vegetation in places that they live as well and that's one reason carp can be very destructive to some of the places they're introduced is they'll eat that vegetation and then there's nothing to hold the dirt and the silt down as then the water goes from clear to, you know, clouding off color all the time because the the carp love to eat it.

Speaker 0

除了这些,它们也吃水里的昆虫,比如小龙虾,还有其他水生生物。

But they'll eat all of that in addition to aquatic insects, like crawdads, other stuff in the water.

Speaker 0

简单说,只要能进嘴的东西,只要能当食物,它们就吃。

Basically, if they can get it in their mouth and it's gonna be a food item, they're gonna they're gonna eat it.

Speaker 0

所以,难的不是找它们吃的东西。

So the hard part isn't really finding something that they're going to eat.

Speaker 0

真正难的是,怎么把饵轻轻送到它们嘴边,又不惊跑它们,然后还能准确钩住。

The hard part is getting the fly to them without spooking them and then setting the hook.

Speaker 0

这才是最考验人的地方。

So that that's really the tough part.

Speaker 0

我每次钓鲤鱼,都用随手拿的流饵,尽量选不太大的,不搞得太花哨。

Every time that I've fished for carp, I've just used whatever streamers I have laying around, trying to go not too big on my streamer sizes, trying to not get too crazy.

Speaker 0

我可不会扔个大得像肉哨子一样的饵过去。

Like, I'm not throwing a a size two meat whistle at them or anything.

Speaker 0

我一般用天然色的兔毛水蛭,或者像你提到的那种小一点的羊毛虫饵。

Usually, I'm using, you know, natural colored bunny leeches, smaller woolly buggers like you mentioned.

Speaker 0

‘鲤鱼糖果’这款饵也很不错。

The carp candy fly is another great one.

Speaker 0

如果钓鱼的地方有小龙虾,我也会用很小的小龙虾饵。

Maybe really small crawdad flies if there's crawdad in the area that I'm fishing for them.

Speaker 0

就用这些小东西,尽量做得低调点。

Just little things like that, trying to be subtle with it.

Speaker 0

这一直是我钓鲤鱼的经验。

And that that's been my experience with them.

Speaker 0

我很多钓鲤鱼的经历都是在商业园区的池塘里,特别有意思。

A lot of my carp fishing came in some ponds in a business park, which was really fun.

Speaker 0

因为我总会去那儿。

Because I'd go down there.

Speaker 0

每当下游涨水,溪流没法钓的时候,我们就去那儿。

It was we'd go down there whenever it was run off, and we couldn't fish the streams.

Speaker 0

直接开车到那个商业园区就行。

And we'd just get down and go to the business park.

Speaker 0

那儿总有不少人。

So all the guys are there.

Speaker 0

你看到他们在办公室里,穿着衬衫打领带,噼里啪啦打字。

You you see them in in their office, and they're typing away, and they're got their shirt and tie on.

Speaker 0

而我呢,穿着凉鞋,在他们办公室窗外的池塘里甩着飞蝇竿钓鲤鱼。

And I'm out there, you know, short sandals and tossing a fly rod to carp in the pond right next to their office window.

Speaker 0

我敢说,这场景肯定挺让人放松的。

I'm sure it was really helpful.

Speaker 0

总之,这就是我钓鲤鱼的经验。

Anyways, so that that's been my experience with carp.

Speaker 0

它们特别警觉,这也是钓它们最难的地方。

They're really spooky, and that's the biggest battle with fishing them.

Speaker 0

它们视力非常好,还有侧线——这是所有鱼都有的一个器官。

They've got really great eyesight, and then the lateral line, which is it's this organ that all fish have.

Speaker 0

就是你能看到的、沿着鱼身体两侧、靠近腹部的那条明显线条。

It's that very distinct line you can see running down either side of the fish kind of on their belly.

Speaker 0

这是一个感觉器官,能帮它们探测周围的动静。

It's a sensory organ that helps them detect movement.

Speaker 0

鲤鱼的侧线尤其灵敏。

Their lateral line on carp is really, really sensitive as well.

Speaker 0

如果你抛投不够精准,线离鱼太近,或者飞蝇落水太重、太靠近鱼,这些都会惊到它们,让它们不再理你的饵,看起来就像完全没兴趣。

So if you throw a cast poorly, if your line lanes too closely, if your streamer hits the water too hard, too close to the fish, all that's gonna put them off, and then that is gonna make you know, they're gonna ignore your your offering at that point, and that's gonna make them seem like they don't want anything.

Speaker 0

其实,饵的呈现方式才是钓鲤鱼的关键。

When in reality, presentation's a huge part of the battle with carp.

Speaker 0

当然,我不是说它们对饵料从不挑拣。

Now I'm not saying that they don't get selective about the flies they eat.

Speaker 0

确实如此。

They certainly do.

Speaker 0

尤其是那些经常被钓的鲤鱼,或者对食物特别挑剔的。

Especially carp that get fished to quite a bit or that are just wanting a specific diet.

Speaker 0

不过话说回来,羊毛虫、摇摆 nymph、小流饵,多准备几种颜色和款式,真的很有帮助,因为鲤鱼不是掠食性鱼类。

But that said, woolly buggers, clowser swinging nymphs, smaller streamers, just having a variety of colors and a variety of styles of patterns is really gonna help you because carp, they're not predators.

Speaker 0

它们不像鳟鱼那样出于攻击性去捕食。

So they're not eating out of aggression in the way that trout do.

Speaker 0

鲤鱼在吃东西前会仔细用眼睛观察,所以你用的饵必须跟水里当时可能出现的食物有点相似。

So carp are going to visually inspect their food very well before they eat it, And that means that whatever you're fishing with needs to have some resemblance to a food item that they might see in the water at that time.

Speaker 0

有时候它们那天可能不要 nymph,却偏偏想要流饵。

And it very well might be that they don't want the nymph, and they do want the streamer that day.

Speaker 0

等你再回去时,它们又可能想要 nymph,而不理流饵了。

And then you go back, and they want the nymph and not the streamer.

Speaker 0

鲤鱼就是这么挑剔,特别难伺候。

So there is that level of finicky and pickiness from the carp.

Speaker 0

但再说一遍,最难的其实是把蝇饵准确地送到它们面前,又不把它们吓跑。

But again, the biggest battle is just getting the fly to them and not spooking them.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

K?

Speaker 0

我总结出最关键的一点,就是别靠得太近,能离多远就离多远,再出手抛投。

The big thing that I found with them was just not getting too close, staying as far back as I could before making the cast.

Speaker 0

另外我经常观察到,鲤鱼觅食的方式其实有好几种。

And then what I did a lot of is you'll see carp, they'll they'll be feeding in a couple of ways.

Speaker 0

它们会慢慢往水底钻,尾巴偶尔会微微翘起来。

They'll kinda start burrowing down on the bottom, and their tail will almost stick up a little bit.

Speaker 0

所以你可能会看到它们像红树林里的骨鱼一样,尾巴露在水面上。

So you might see them tailing, kinda like bonefish do on the flats.

Speaker 0

这种迹象说明它们正在吃东西,千万别错过。

So that's a great indicator that, hey, these carp are eating.

Speaker 0

它们此刻确实在主动寻找食物。

They are actively trying to eat something.

Speaker 0

我会没事的。

I'm gonna be fine.

Speaker 0

我只需要把饵轻轻放在他们附近就行。

I just need to put it down near them.

Speaker 0

有时候 carp 会主动游动,这时候你可以试着把饵投到他们前面,稍微引诱一下。

Or there'll be carp that are actively cruising, and you can try and cast in front of them and kinda lead them a little bit.

Speaker 0

所以总的来说,你要确保抛投的距离别太近,也别太远。

So with all of that said, you just wanna make sure you're putting your cast not too close, but not too far from them.

Speaker 0

我知道说起来容易做起来难。

And I know that's easier said than done.

Speaker 0

这得靠不断尝试,保持低姿态,尽量离他们远一点,然后确保饵落水时轻柔无声。

But it's a lot of trial and error and just staying low and staying as far back from them as you possibly can, and then making sure a cast lands softly.

Speaker 0

这就是对付 carp 最关键的一点。

So that's that's the big thing with dealing with them.

Speaker 0

另外我们还要说一点,当 carp 准备进食、检查过你的饵之后,它们的嘴巴其实非常敏感。

And then the last thing we talk about here too is once carp are ready to eat, once they've inspected your food, their mouths are really sensitive.

Speaker 0

它们能一口把飞蝇吸进去,马上觉得不对劲,然后吐出来,快得你根本反应不过来。

They can they can inhale a fly, tell that it's not real, and spit it out faster than you can react.

Speaker 0

这真让人抓狂,因为你得等它们把飞蝇含在嘴里那一瞬间才能刺钩,可我都不知道有多少次把飞蝇抛出去了。

It's maddening because you you've gotta be they've gotta have it in their mouth for a second for you to be able to set the hook, but I can't count how many times I'd throw my fly out there.

Speaker 0

我把飞蝇在游动的鲤鱼前面拖过,它看看,一吸就吞,又立刻吐出来,快得像我一眨眼,它就完成了。

I'd strip it in front of a cruising carp, and it'd look at it, and it would suck it up and spit it out so quick that it was like I blinked and they'd done it.

Speaker 0

真的太让人崩溃了。

It it was maddening.

Speaker 0

所以你得反应够快。

So you do have to be quick on the draw.

Speaker 0

能看清它们确实有帮助,因为一旦它们过来吃饵,你得立刻做出收线刺钩的动作。

It does help to be able to see them because when they come over it, as soon as they eat it, you wanna be ready to go with that strip set.

Speaker 0

不用太猛,也不用太夸张,就是稳稳地一拉线就行。

Not a huge hard one, not a crazy one, but a nice solid strip set pulling that line.

Speaker 0

如果你往上抬竿,像钓鳟鱼那样刺钩,只会把飞蝇从它们嘴里拽出来,吓跑它们,其他鲤鱼也会跟着受惊逃走。

If you lift and try and trout set, you're gonna pull the fly out of their mouth and spook them, and then the rest of the carp are gonna get spooked.

Speaker 0

他们得等鱼安静下来,或者去找另一群鱼再抛投。

They've gotta wait for them to calm down or go find another pot of fish to to cast to.

Speaker 0

这真的特别考验人。

So that's really tough.

Speaker 0

草鱼的嘴骨头很多,所以得用锋利的钩子,再配上干脆利落的收线刺鱼动作,才能钩得牢。

And then with grass carp, they do have very bony mouths, so you need nice sharp hook to really get in there and a really solid strip set to make sure that the fly sticks to them.

Speaker 0

这大概就是关于鲤鱼的全部要点了。

So that's kind of your overview of carp.

Speaker 0

至于飞蝇的选择,我还是强调一点:尽量模仿湖里实际存在的东西。

And then I would just focus, again, for fly selection, let's just bring it back to focus on imitating what's in the lake.

Speaker 0

湖里的食物来源可多了。

They're gonna have a lot of food sources.

Speaker 0

重点盯住水生昆虫。

Focus on the aquatic insects.

Speaker 0

鲤鱼可是会吃这些的。

They'll eat them.

Speaker 0

鲤鱼也会吃浮蝇。

Carp will eat dry flies.

Speaker 0

我从来没钓到过吃浮蝇的鲤鱼,但亲眼见过别人钓到。

I've never had one eat my dry fly, but I've seen it happen.

Speaker 0

我认识一些经常钓鲤鱼的人,他们确实用过十四号的降落伞阿当斯蝇钓到过不错的鲤鱼。

And I know guys who fish for carp all the time, and they'll I I know guys who've caught really nice carp on, like, size fourteen parachute Adams.

Speaker 0

所以说,鲤鱼其实也会吃浮蝇。

So, you know, they'll eat dry flies too.

Speaker 0

重点要放在模仿它们当前能吃到的食物上。

Focus on fishing the stuff that is gonna mimic the food that they've got available.

Speaker 0

要注重抛投的技巧。

Focus on presentation.

Speaker 0

注意别惊扰到它们,这样你成功的几率就很大了。

Focus on not spooking them, and I think you should be in good shape.

Speaker 0

希望这些对你有帮助。

So hopefully, that that's helpful.

Speaker 0

谢谢你提出这个问题。

Appreciate you sending a question on in.

Speaker 0

非常感谢。

Thank you.

Speaker 0

接下来是来自美国的克雷格的问题。

Craig from America has our next question.

Speaker 0

他写到,用铅坠搭配钓组时,我很难完成抛投。

Writes in and says, casting with split shot on my rig is difficult for me.

Speaker 0

就连双 nymph 钓组也觉得比平时更难抛。

Even a double nymph rig seems more difficult to cast.

Speaker 0

当我使用干蝇加子蝇或双 nymph 钓组时,怎样才能提高抛投效果?

What is the main thing I can do to make better casts when I'm casting a dry dropper rig or double nymph rig?

Speaker 0

谢谢。

Thank you.

Speaker 0

克雷格,这是个非常好的问题。

Craig, this is a really good question.

Speaker 0

我看到大家在投掷时遇到的最主要问题,都是节奏没掌握好。

And the number one problem that I see with any casting issues that that folks are running into is all about timing.

Speaker 0

我们学校群里就刚有个学员,如果你还不知道,那是个类似Facebook的平台,但完全不糟心。

In fact, we just took a guy from our school group, which if you don't know, it's like Facebook, but it doesn't suck.

Speaker 0

这是一个免费的社交平台。

It's this free social media platform.

Speaker 0

而且真的不糟心。

But again, it doesn't suck.

Speaker 0

没有政治段子。

No political memes.

Speaker 0

也没有你阿姨凯伦发来的那些关于业主委员会的无聊消息,全是垃圾。

No stupid messages from your aunt Karen about the HOA or any of that crap.

Speaker 0

只有钓鱼,聊的全是钓鱼。

Just fishing and talking fishing all the time.

Speaker 0

如果想加入,节目笔记里有链接,欢迎来参加。

And there's a link to join school down in the show notes if you're interested in joining it.

Speaker 0

不过我们最近带了我们群里的一个哥们去钓鱼,他钓鱼时也遇到了同样的问题。

But we took a guy from our school group out fishing recently, and this is a problem he had too with his casting.

Speaker 0

他甩杆的动作太慢了。

He was moving the rod a little bit too slowly.

Speaker 0

结果飞线甩到一半就没劲了。

So the cast was sort of dying halfway through.

Speaker 0

力量跟不上,很难把线甩到他想要的距离,还让飞蝇平平地落水。

He's losing power, and it was hard for him to extend and lay fly lying down at the distance he wanted to.

Speaker 0

我就在旁边看了几分钟,看出是节奏的问题,然后跟他说:‘你甩杆时快一点,别让线停住。’

And I just sat there and watched for a minute, identified the issue, a timing problem, and then said, hey, move the rod a little bit quicker, really focus on not letting the line stop moving.

Speaker 0

他一照着做,立刻就对了。

As soon as he did that, it's like a switch flipped.

Speaker 0

他保持住了甩杆的惯性,之后一整天都特别顺手。

He kept the momentum of the cast, and it was great for the rest of day.

Speaker 0

其实解决起来特别简单。

It was a really easy fix.

Speaker 0

很多时候,投掷问题其实都出在这儿。

And usually, that's what a lot of the problems are with casting.

Speaker 0

解决起来特别简单。

It's a really simple fix.

Speaker 0

你只需要找出节奏哪里不对。

You just have to figure out what the timing issue is.

Speaker 0

现在用铅坠、重 nymph 钓组或者干蝇加垂钓组时,关键是要明白,加了额外的蝇钩或配重,等于加长了子线或者增加了重量。

Now with split shot or heavy nymph rigs or dry dropper rigs in general, the big thing to remember is that when you're adding these extra flies or weight, you are lengthening the leader or you're adding more weight to it.

Speaker 0

无论是多出来的重量、长度,还是两者都有,整个装置在空中移动的速度都会变慢。

And between that extra weight or the extra length or both, k, that whole setup's gonna move a bit more slowly through the air.

Speaker 0

每次投掷动作中,主线完全伸直所需的时间也会更长。

It's gonna take longer for that fly line to straighten out on each part of the casting stroke.

Speaker 0

所以你得稍微放慢节奏,把线环撑大一点,等主线和子线彻底伸直了,再进行下一个动作。

So that means you need to slow down a little bit, open your loop up, let the fly line and the leader in the rig straighten out completely before you move to the next part of your casting stroke.

Speaker 0

如果你感觉不出来,就盯着主线看。

And if you're having a hard time feeling that, watch your fly line.

Speaker 0

明白了吗?

Alright?

Speaker 0

有些人说别这么做。

Some folks say to not to.

Speaker 0

但我建议你这么做:看准了,完成抛投,等线完全伸直后再动杆。

I say do it because you'll watch, make the cast, wait till it straightens out, then move your rod.

Speaker 0

后抛时也一样,等线拉直了再动杆。

Watch on the back cast, wait till it straightens out, then move your rod.

Speaker 0

因为迟早你会体会到:哦,原来这就是那种感觉。

Because eventually, you're going to feel, oh, that's what that feels like.

Speaker 0

这就是关键。

That's what okay.

Speaker 0

负荷终于卸掉了。

The loads come off.

Speaker 0

线已经拉直了。

The line's straight.

Speaker 0

我能感觉到。

I can feel it.

Speaker 0

我知道什么时候该动。

I know when to move.

Speaker 0

慢慢你就会形成这种肌肉记忆。

And eventually, you'll develop that muscle memory.

Speaker 0

你也会感觉到的。

You'll feel it.

Speaker 0

到时候就不需要再盯着看了。

You won't need to watch anymore.

Speaker 0

不过 definitely,注意看你的钓具。

But definitely, you know, watch the watch the rig.

Speaker 0

我觉得这对掌握时机会很有帮助。

Think I it'll be very helpful in dialing that timing down.

Speaker 0

希望这能帮上忙。

So hopefully that helps.

Speaker 0

我知道播客并不是谈飞蝇钓饵的最佳场合,但最近我们收到了不少关于选饵的问题。

I know podcast isn't the greatest place to talk casting, but we had quite a few casting questions sent in recently.

Speaker 0

所以我觉得这倒是个不错的主题,值得好好聊聊。

So figured it was a great one to to dive into and discuss.

Speaker 0

谢谢你把这个问题发过来。

So I appreciate you sending that on.

Speaker 0

谢谢。

Thanks.

Speaker 0

接下来是来自密苏里州的杰克逊提出的问题。

Jackson from Missouri has our next question.

Speaker 0

他写到:对于放养的鳟鱼,有什么简单、容易又有趣的飞蝇饵推荐吗?

Writes in and says, what's a simple, easy, and fun fly to make for stocked trout?

Speaker 0

杰克逊,这是个好问题,不过我想反问你一下。

Jackson, this is a good question, but let me ask you one in return.

Speaker 0

如果可以的话,我想用一个问题来回答你的问题。

A little answer a question with a question if I do if if you don't mind.

Speaker 0

为什么放养的鳟鱼会吃和野生鳟鱼不一样的东西呢?

Why would stocked trout eat something different than a wild trout?

Speaker 0

你先想想这个问题。

Think on that for a minute.

Speaker 0

我们知道,放养的鳟鱼在鱼苗场的时候,吃的是像宝路鳟鱼饲料这样的颗粒饲料,每天都被大量投喂。

As we know, we do know that stocked trout, when they're raising the hatchery, they're eating the pellets that Purina trout chow that's getting dumped to them.

Speaker 0

在鱼苗场期间,这几乎是它们全部的饮食。

And that's the majority of their diet when they're in the hatchery.

Speaker 0

但它们终究还是鳟鱼。

But they're they're still trout.

Speaker 0

水生昆虫的样子,它们脑子里还是记得清清楚楚的。

That vision, that image of an aquatic insect, it's still imprinted in their minds.

Speaker 0

它们依然懂得怎么在野外识别食物。

They still know how to recognize what food is in the wild.

Speaker 0

所以你真正该问的是:我钓鱼的这片水域,不管是湖还是河,眼下有什么天然食物?我该怎么模仿它?

So the question you really should be asking is, okay, what food source is available in the area that I'm fishing, whether it's a lake or river, and how can I imitate that?

Speaker 0

因为这才是鱼真正会关注的食物来源。

Because that's the food source that the fish are are gonna be keyed in on.

Speaker 0

不管它们是不是放养的鳟鱼,它们都会吃这个。

That's what they're gonna be eating even if they excuse me, even if they are stocked trout.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

K?

Speaker 0

如果你对这个过程不太熟悉,我们VFC有个叫‘正确飞蝇公式’的方法,能让你轻松选出和鱼吃的一样的假蝇,就算你完全不懂水生昆虫也没关系。

And if if this process is little unfamiliar to you, we've got something we call it the right fly formula here at VFC, where it's really easy to match what the fish are eating to the flies in your box even if you don't know anything about aquatic insects or anything like that.

Speaker 0

你第一步要做的是环顾四周,看看水里和水边有什么东西。

So what you wanna do first is take a look around, see what's on in and around the water.

Speaker 0

明白吗?

K?

Speaker 0

翻翻石头,把水里的水草拉起来看看。

Turn some rocks over, you know, pull some weeds up out of the water.

Speaker 0

注意水里有什么。

Look at what's in the water.

Speaker 0

看看水面上有什么东西。

Look at what's on the water surface.

Speaker 0

有鱼在跃出水面吗?

Are there fish rising?

Speaker 0

如果有,你能看清它们在吃什么吗?

If so, can you see what they're eating?

Speaker 0

随手抓几只看看,仔细瞧一瞧。

You know, grab a few in your hand, take a look at them.

Speaker 0

如果空中有飞虫在盘旋,就抓几只,晃晃帽子,把它们捉住,好好看看。

If there's flies buzzing around in the air, grab a few wave your hat around, grab a few of them, you'll try to catch them, get a good look at them.

Speaker 0

等你确定了鱼可能在吃的几种飞虫,就可以打开你的蝇饵盒,根据三个特征来匹配了。

And once you've identified a few different flies that you think the fish are eating, that's when you open your fly box and you wanna match based on three characteristics.

Speaker 0

要根据大小、形状和颜色来匹配。

You wanna match based on size, shape, and color.

Speaker 0

首先,大小是最关键的。

So first things first, size is most important.

Speaker 0

你要在你的蝇饵盒里找一个大小和你刚抓到的真昆虫差不多的。

You wanna find a fly in your box that's roughly the same size as the real bugs that you just you just grabbed.

Speaker 0

然后要确保形状对得上。

Then you wanna make sure the shape's right.

Speaker 0

蜉蝣的身体细长,翅膀高耸,尾巴特别纤细。

They mayflies, they've got long, slender bodies, tall wings, really fine tails.

Speaker 0

它们看起来挺优雅的。

They're kind of an elegant looking fly.

Speaker 0

而石蝇呢,就像你出去时会碰到的小恐龙。

And then stoneflies look like a little dinosaur that you're gonna you're gonna get into out there.

Speaker 0

这两种蝇饵的形状差别很大,你要选一个能模仿真实昆虫形状的。

So there's two very different shapes to those flies, and you wanna pick a fly that mimics a shape.

Speaker 0

形状是第二重要的,颜色最不重要。

Shape's the second most important thing, and then color, least important.

Speaker 0

如果能完全匹配颜色,那就再好不过了。

If you can match the color exactly, awesome.

Speaker 0

如果做不到,也不用在意。

If not, don't worry about it.

Speaker 0

但只要你选对了蝇饵,大小、形状和颜色都匹配了,出去钓鱼就一定能钓到鱼,不管是放养的还是野生的。

But at that point, you've done the right fly formula, you've matched size, shape, and color, then you should be able to go out and fish and catch some fish, whether they're stocked or wild or not.

Speaker 0

我知道大家常会问,放养的鳟鱼和野生的鳟鱼到底有什么区别?

And I know this concept of asking about, you know, what's the difference between stocked and wild trout?

Speaker 0

不过它们吃饵的方式其实是一样的。

Again, they're gonna eat the same flies.

Speaker 0

真正的区别在于它们的行为。

The difference is really in the behavior.

Speaker 0

放养的鳟鱼对躲避天敌的本能没那么强。

Stocked trout probably have a bit less of that instinctual need and desire to hide from predators.

Speaker 0

所以它们不像野生的那么谨慎——我也不太想用‘聪明’这个词,但它们确实更容易做错判断。

So they're not as I don't wanna say as smart because I I don't know if that's the best way to describe it, but they'll they'll make more poor decisions.

Speaker 0

也许这样表达更合适。

Maybe that's how we'll phrase it.

Speaker 0

它们更愿意接受不太完美的抛投。

They're probably much more willing to eat a poor presentation.

Speaker 0

因为身处新环境,它们更愿意主动游出去吃蝇饵。

They're probably much more willing to go out of their way to eat a fly because they're in a new environment.

Speaker 0

它们第一次遇到完全不同的东西。

They're experiencing something completely different for the first time.

Speaker 0

那些关乎生存的本能会告诉你:老兄,如果你一直待在这片两英寸深的激流里,见什么吃什么,迟早会被鱼鹰抓走。

Those big survival instincts of, bro, if you keep sitting here in this two inch riffle and eating everything that hits you, eventually, the osprey is gonna come get you.

Speaker 0

但这些本能还没完全觉醒。

That hasn't all quite kicked in yet.

Speaker 0

有些人说放养的鳟鱼比野生的笨,但我不确定能不能断定这说法一定成立。

Some folks like to say that stocked trout are dumber than wild trout, and I I don't know if we could ever say that that's true definitively or not.

Speaker 0

我记得小时候,有几处公共池塘,他们总会把多余的鱼苗放进去。

I know that there were growing up, I remember this very distinctly.

Speaker 0

那地方我印象特别深。

There were a couple of community ponds where they would stock the leftover brood.

Speaker 0

等它们在鱼苗场长到太大、没法再繁殖了,他们就会把那些二十英寸以上的大型鱼放进池塘,让孩子们去钓。

Once they were too old to keep breeding anymore in the hatchery, they'd take the big fish, like 20 plus inches, stick them in the ponds for the kids to catch.

Speaker 0

我记得有个池塘,水清澈见底,一眼就能看到里面成群的鱼。

And I remember there's this one pond you'd go to, crystal clear water, and you could see these just tanks.

Speaker 0

那些巨大的鱼就在水深陡降的边缘游来游去,像潜艇一样。

Just enormous fish cruising the edge right on the drop off like submarines.

Speaker 0

我们从来钓不到它们中的任何一条。

And we could never catch one of those things.

Speaker 0

怎么也钓不到,真是让人抓狂。

It was it was maddening that we could never catch one of those.

Speaker 0

实在太让人郁闷了。

Oh, it was so frustrating.

Speaker 0

所以我不觉得它们全都笨,真的。

So I I don't think I subscribe to the fact that, you know, they're they're all dumb.

Speaker 0

我只是觉得它们跟野生的不一样。

I just they they're different.

Speaker 0

它们没那么警觉,但我不会把这叫做笨。

They're they they're not as wary, but I I wouldn't qualify that as dumb.

Speaker 0

这就是我对放养鳟鱼和野生鳟鱼的看法。

So that's that's my 2¢ on on stocked versus wild trout.

Speaker 0

关于用假蝇钓放养 trout 和野生 trout,我唯一要提醒的是,如果你在 trout 刚放进去的那天去湖边或池塘,用仿饲料蝇可能会有不错的效果。

The only caveat I'll say here about flies for stockers versus wild trout is that if you show up to the lake or the pond the day the trout gets stalked, you might have luck with a pellet fly.

Speaker 0

我认识不少人这么钓鱼,我自己也试过几次,就是扔个看起来像饲料的蝇饵。

I know a lot of folks who fish this way, I've done it a couple of times myself, who who throw out a fly.

Speaker 0

那玩意儿看起来跟鱼苗场喂的饲料一模一样,鱼有时候真会疯了一样去抢。

It looks like the pellets that they've got fed at the hatchery, and they'll they'll kinda go crazy for that sometimes too.

Speaker 0

但总的来说,你还是得看水里有什么,选对饵。

But on the whole, you know, just match what's there in the water.

Speaker 0

用对的蝇饵搭配。

Go through the right fly formula.

Speaker 0

这才是最靠谱的办法。

That's gonna be your best bet.

Speaker 0

至于那种对所有鳟鱼都有效的简单蝇饵,我建议你从斑马虫蝇开始,这玩意儿特别管用。

And as far as, like, an easy fly that's gonna work for any trout, I mean, the zebra midge is a really great fly to start with, and zebra midge is is killer.

Speaker 0

简直百发百中。

It is so deadly.

Speaker 0

效果太好了。

It's so effective.

Speaker 0

到处都是摇蚊。

So there's midges everywhere.

Speaker 0

鱼什么时候都爱吃摇蚊。

Fish always eat midges.

Speaker 0

所以你箱子里的摇蚊越多越好,而且它们特别容易绑。

So the more midges you have in your box, and they're super easy to tie.

Speaker 0

斑马虫蝇怎么都不会嫌多。

So you you can never have too many zebra midges.

Speaker 0

我肯定会带这类蝇饵,而且主要就用它们。

So I I would have those, and I that's what I'd focus on.

Speaker 0

把这条蝇饵挂在阿当斯蝇或者埃尔克哈特猫尾蝇下面,准没错。

And, you know, throw that underneath an Adams or an Elkhart Cattus, and you'll be in business.

Speaker 0

尤其是现在这个季节。

So especially this time of year.

Speaker 0

希望杰克逊,这回答了你的问题,本周节目的问答环节就到这里。

本周的‘真实生活’时刻来自奥斯汀,他来信说:首先,我想感谢VFC团队为初学者飞钓爱好者提供的所有资源。

And this week's LIVEREELLIFE moment comes to us from Austin, who writes in and says, firstly, I just wanted to say thanks to the team of VFC for all the resources you provide for novice fly anglers.

Speaker 0

这些资源对我特别有帮助,因为我的家人和朋友都没人玩飞钓,我附近也没有飞钓用品店。

They've been especially helpful for me because none of my family or friends fly fish, and there are no fly shops in my area.

Speaker 0

你们帮我学到了很多,作为一个自学的新人,你们的支持简直不可或缺。

You've helped me learn a lot and have been invaluable as a self taught beginner.

Speaker 0

就像我说的,我刚接触飞钓不久。

Like I said, I'm new to fly fishing.

Speaker 0

到现在还不到一年。

I've been doing it for less than a year.

Speaker 0

虽然这个夏天我钓得不少,但一直没钓到过鳟鱼。

Although I've been fishing a lot this summer, I still hadn't been able to catch any trout.

Speaker 0

我住在爱荷华州,开车到最近的鳟鱼钓点至少要三个小时。

Where I live in Iowa, it's at least a three hour drive to the nearest trout fishery.

Speaker 0

我其实很喜欢钓鲈鱼、太阳鱼和溪鳉,但听了播客、看了你们的视频后,我特别想试试钓鳟鱼。

I really enjoy catching bass, bluegill, and creek chub, but after listening to the podcast and watching your videos, I really wanted to go trout fishing.

Speaker 0

所以当我听说家人要带我去冰川国家公园过六月初的假期时,我特别兴奋。

So I was super excited when I found out my family was going to Glacier National Park for vacation in early June.

Speaker 0

出发前,我特意把所有飞钓装备都带上了。

When we left, I made sure to bring all my fly fishing gear.

Speaker 0

第一天,我们徒步走到一个湖边,绕到湖的另一头,那里有融雪形成的溪流汇入湖中。

On our first day, we hiked up to a lake and made our way around to the far end where the snow melt streams enter the lake.

Speaker 0

我拆开钓竿,翻了几块石头,照着你们教的方法观察,果然发现了中翅幼虫。

I broke up my rod, flipped over some rocks so I could learn from you guys, and saw some mid larvae.

Speaker 0

我在溪流汇入湖口的地方 nymph 钓了一个小时,但后来把最后一个浮标掉进水里了,只好停下来。

I nymphed for about an hour where the streams flowed in, but had to stop when I dropped my last indicator into the water.

Speaker 0

正想着该换什么饵时,我突然想到,虽然现在不是蚱蜢季,但斯宾塞好像每次抛投都挂着一只。

While deciding what to tie on next, I thought to myself, even though it isn't hopper season, Spencer seems like he has one on on nearly every rig he throws.

Speaker 0

这种饵对贪吃的鳟鱼来说是很好的诱饵,而且这fly是我专门为了这次旅行准备的,不如就用它试试。

It would be a good attractor pattern for greedy trout looking for a big meal, and I tied this fly up just for this trip, so I should use it.

Speaker 0

于是我挂上了出发前就绑好的胖柴诺比尔,回到刚才的位置等着。

So I tied on the chubby Chernobyl I'd prepped before we left and waited back to my spot.

Speaker 0

有几条鱼游过来瞧了瞧,但每次都游开了。

A few fish came up to inspect it, but turned away each time.

Speaker 0

最后,我回到岸边吃点零食。

Eventually, I went back to shore to eat a snack.

Speaker 0

吃完后我回到原位继续钓鱼,结果一不小心绊了一跤,左脚的鞋掉进水里,漂到了湖心,我也跟着摔进了冰凉的湖水中。

Afterward, I waited back out to keep fishing, but I promptly tripped, lost my left shoe, which floated into the middle of the lake, and plunged off a drop off into the icy water after it.

Speaker 0

我慌忙爬回岸边,浑身湿透,还少了一只鞋。

I scrambled back to shore, soaked and missing a shoe.

Speaker 0

等我稍微干爽了些,找回点面子,也给鱼儿一点时间平静下来,我才又回到湖边。

Eventually, once I was drier, had recovered some of my dignity, and gave the fish time to calm down, I went back out.

Speaker 0

我有点着急,因为我爸说我就剩十分钟钓鱼时间了,我真想钓到一条鳟鱼。

I was worried because my dad said I only had ten more minutes to fish and I really wanted to catch a trout.

Speaker 0

第二次抛竿时,一条漂亮的西坡虹鳟突然从水里冒出来,一口咬住了我的蚱蜢假饵。

On my second cast, a beautiful West Slope cutthroat trout came out of nowhere and smacked the hopper.

Speaker 0

经过一番短促的搏斗,我终于把它拉上岸——这是我第一次用飞竿钓到鳟鱼,也是我这辈子钓到的第二条。

After a short fight, I brought it in, my first trout on a fly rod and only the second I've ever caught in my life.

Speaker 0

我一辈子都忘不了。

I'll never forget it.

Speaker 0

再次谢谢你教我飞蝇钓鱼,让我能留下这样的回忆。

Thanks again for helping me learn to fly fish so I can make more memories like this one.

Speaker 0

奥斯汀,向你致敬,老兄。

Austin, tip of the hat to you, man.

Speaker 0

太棒了。

That's awesome.

Speaker 0

我简直爱死了。

I freaking love it.

Speaker 0

幸好你没淹着。

Glad you didn't drown.

Speaker 0

别提低体温了。

Forget hypothermia.

Speaker 0

那地方的水可真够冷的。

That water up there can be cold.

Speaker 0

但这真是太棒了。

But that's awesome.

Speaker 0

我真的没什么可补充的了。

Man, I got nothing else to add.

Speaker 0

你讲得实在太好了。

You said it so so wonderfully.

Speaker 0

非常感谢你分享这个故事。

So thank you a ton for sharing that story.

Speaker 0

这就是一切的意义所在。

That that's what it's all about right there.

Speaker 0

这简直太棒了。

That's freaking awesome.
