This has been US policy for more than thirty years and is responsible for a dramatic plunge in hepatitis b infections in this country.

That's protected countless babies from getting a chronic liver infection that can lead to liver failure, liver cancer, and premature death.

They don't feel like they're thriving.

How are Fed officials approaching this?

Well, right now, markets think it's likely the Fed will cut its benchmark interest rate by another quarter point.
