Hey there, time travelers, and welcome to Carly Q's super secret time travel travel guide.
This is where I share the who, when, wow of the hottest spots in history and top it all off with a little bit of mystery.
Today's hotspot, the Jurassic Period.
That's right, we are really pushing our time elevator to the brink with this one.
A one hundred and forty five million year time jump.
I hope she can handle it.
To get to the Jurassic Period, you're gonna wanna set your destination for about 145,000,000 BCE.
Now, if your time elevator doesn't go back that far, you could always catch the Cretaceous Express and then transfer to the Jurassic local.
If you see a giant meteor in the sky, you have gone way too far.
Get out of there ASAP.
One of the biggest animals to ever live on the planet was this old gal, the Brachiosaurus.
Seventy feet long, forty five feet tall, 50 tons.
She's basically a walking building.
Incredible.
Lucky for us, she's a vegetarian.
Oh, grab a snack.
There are no supermarkets around yet, but the Jurassic age is when plant life really exploded on the planet.
Just take a look at all these berries and seeds around here.
I bet some of them are okay to eat.
Right?
Oh, nope.
No good.
I am sticking to the granola bars I brought.
Getting closer.
I've got a secret for you.
You don't actually need a time elevator to connect with the Jurassic Period.
You can do it right from your own time period.
First of all, you're gonna wanna head out to the border of Colorado and Utah.
That's in the middle of The USA.
You're gonna find a place called the Dinosaur National Monument, and you'll never guess what they have there.
Okay.
Maybe you will because the name kind of gives it away, but this park is jam packed with real dinosaur fossils embedded right there into the cliff walls.
Some of them even date back to the Jurassic Period.
By the way, think I left my wallet back there, so if you see a little Velcro thing that says time flies written on it somewhere in that cliff face, can you let me know?
Thank you.
Until next time, I've been Carly Q, and this has been the who and wow of history's hotspots.
